//-------------------------------------------------------// The scourge of Equestria girls -by shadowshild612- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Arrival //-------------------------------------------------------// Arrival A gong resounded through the air of a town park, unheard from anyone due to it being the dead of the night. In said town, two figures appeared in a puff of smoke. "So that happened." A deep young sounding voice said. A young man with a red tinted skin stated, his teal slit pulled eyes with black where the whites should be glancing around. Once he stepped into the light more his light orange hair was revealed with two short horns, as his demonic dragon wings wrapped around his black armor, a long sword glowing silver with a shield having silver metal linings. The other voice was a bit different. “Why am I a girl tiefling. I didn’t ask to be a girl tiefling!” they said, sounding annoyed. She said, crossing her arms over her… considerable chest. Dressed in some simple robes, she pouted her red lips on her pink face, her fangs poking through. Her silver eyes burned with her annoyance at her suddenly changed appearance, her long tail flicking back and forth behind her as she tapped her sandal covered feet. Her horns were of the curled variety, like rams, and her hair is purple. "I think you look nice." The dragon eyed man said smiling, glancing at her. "And maybe that genie decided to mess with you because of how well you did your wishes " “If he made the mistake of making me a sorcerer or wizard we’ll see how he likes it when I fuck him over with Wish.” The newly changed tiefling grumbled. She didn’t like being forced to be turned into things. "So you wanna fuck him." He said smirking at her. “...That wasn’t even wordplay. You’re just being an idiot.” The tiefling deadpanned, looking unamused at the silver covered man. "It was a joke." He rolled his eyes, glancing around. "Where ya think we are?" Looking around, the Tiefling shrugged. “A park? Probably in Equestria girls… I noticed the topic change, by the way, I’m just letting it slide because I don’t feel like freaking out more. I’ll do that later.” She said, humming. “I’m going to need a name for this form too…” The dragon eyed man looked at himself, checking out his wings and claws. "I think I became my DND Homebrew race character, a demonic dragonborn. So I'ma go with ‘blood wing’, seeing as my Character is a bloodhunter/paladin." Tapping her fingers on her forearm, she hummed in thought. “What’s a good tiefling name… I guess Lalas will do, for now. I can always change it later.” She said, shrugging. “We should find someplace to sleep.” Bloodwing nods, looking around. "Yeah, do we have gold for a hotel?" Sighing, the tiefling looked up. “Did your character have any on him? You wishing to be him three times should have made you whatever level he was and also give you whatever he had on him at the time, shouldn’t it?” She questioned rhetorically, glancing out the corner of her silver eyes at him. Blood wing blinks and ruffles through his pocket, before pulling out a heavy looking bag. "Yup! I got mah gold, 13,000." Looking around, she gently lowered his hand back down. “Let’s not flash the bag full of actual gold out and wave it around, shall we?” She said tensely. “You never know if there’s a rogue or something about. That genie was enough of a jerk, there’s probably bandits or something nearby.” Blood wing nods, tying the bag around his neck making sure he had an advantage Incase someone tried to take it. "Now then, let's look around for a hotel or something." “Should I try to change myself? Tieflings usually aren’t quite well liked, are they?” Lalas questioned. That’s what she remembered from the beyond page she read, anyway. Prejudice dicks, the people in the lore are. “Do you have any spells for that?" He asked. "And would it matter? I mean I am a demon Dragon now." “Does it say demon dragons are assaulted for being demon dragons? No? Then there’s your answer.” "Fair enough, but… right now… look around." He said turning in all directions slowly. The buildings were all nearly disintagrad, trees and grass Being the only living things in view aside from them. Cars, and clothes shreds scattered all over the place. "Something bad happened here." Lalas hummed. "So much for needing money for a hotel then." She said, shrugging. "Looks like he gave you that money knowing it'll probably not be too useful… that jerk genie. Ugh." "Well I did ask for my powers to be exactly like my DND character." He said shruging. "And who knows, maybe we'll find a safe settlement somewhere." She sighed. “Yeah, maybe. Hopefully this is just a normal zombie apocalypse, we’ll have a much bigger chance in one of those than some kind of magic one. By the way, why do you think people just ditched their clothing? That’s kinda off, isn’t it?” She questioned, looking at the clothing scattered everywhere. What reason could they have for that? Bloodwing hums for a second. "In a DND campaign I had going there was a monster that absorbed necrotic energy from undead… sort of similar to cell drinking people in DBZ. Except it's to sustain itself instead of getting stronger. If it's something like that we should get going, who knows what level we are." “You’re probably whatever level your character was,” Lalas said, humming thoughtfully. “But yeah, staying in the open is definitely a bad thing for us right now. Let’s get going.” She said, already moving in the direction with the least clothing around. The tall dragonic demon follows her, while rummaging through his stuff. "If you're right then I'm around level ten, five in bloodhunter and five in paladin. And I have all my items, so we have some rope for hunting and some Flint and steel for making fires." “Do you suddenly know any secrets of the arcane?” Lalas asked, glancing back at him. “Knowing what spells you got would help with planning. If you knew Sanctuary I think it was called or something, you could make us a safe enough spot to rest when we need it. Got any food in that pack, by the way?” Her tail was still waving in agitation, at the genie and this situation in general. "If I remember right this character has at least four days of rations including water. So two days for the both of us. And I remember having rites of ice and fire, blood magic. Along with divine smite and I believe sanctuary and some other paladin spells." He said. "The rites deal damage to me each time I use them, but with lay on hands I can balance it out somewhat." Groaning, she facepalmed. “Of course, the only one of us that can heal also needs to hurt themself for half of their offensive capabilities. I am going to take all of that genies power and leave him with the limitations. I think that’ll be fitting.” She said, searching herself. She seemed more annoyed after a minute. “And of course, asshole didn’t give me any weapons.” Bloodwing glances to his back, noting he had a greatsword and longsword. "Do you think you can hold a greatsword?" “Dude if I was still my human self I probably couldn’t, let alone whatever stats this body has. I can try, but for some reason my body is saying a dagger or long ranged weapon like a crossbow would be better for me.” His tiefling companion said. So, probably some magic caster class is what she got. "Oh right." He said glancing around. "for the time being maybe I could make a makeshift weapon out of some sticks and rope for ya." “Worst comes to worse I’m sure these horns are fully functional,” Lalas said, tapping one of the said horns. They were quite sharp. “If I remember right, if anything physically attacks me I also get to burn them with hellfire for free… so I’ll learn some magic from that, at least.” He nods, glancing off to the side. "There's an undead about forty feet to the right." “Be ready to stab if this doesn’t work,” She said, walking over to the undead. “Come on! Take a swing at me!” She said, taunting the undead. She was tense, ready to move at a moment. The undead creature moaned and groaned as it ran towards her, it's eyes glowing in a dark purple light as the skin on its cheek was beginning to peel off. Bloodwing stood nearby holding his longsword in both his hands, preparing to attack. Lalas dodged the undeads bite, but it's swipe still connected. It didn't break skin, but still seemed to do enough damage to trigger the tiefling trait. With a wide smile, Lalas raised the middle finger at the undead, it flaming. "Hellish Rebuke!" The undead creature suddenly became engulfed in hell like flames, causing it to wave and screech in agony. Bloodwing, then ran forward, swinging his longsword against the monster`s back causing it to stumble forward before a bright light enveloped the area it was hit at. The light expanded to cover the whole monster, combining with the flames until it was nothing but dust. Lalas looked at her hand, watching as flames danced to her will. "Well, I can use fire magic now at least. Can defend myself decently." She said, seeming a bit mesmerized at her magic. "Yeah but we can't stay here, I can sense more undead incoming. I think they're attracted to the light of the fire and divine energy, we gotta get to higher ground and bunker down for the night." Bloodwing stated, looking around. "I think I see smoke over there, and where there's smoke there's most likely people." "Or a burnt down settlement," Lalas commented. "Best chance either way, so let's go!" She said, hurrying over in the direction of the smoke. Bloodwing quickly follows her, glancing at his foldeded up wings. "I'm so stupid, I'm my DND Homebrew race!" He laughed, as black cracks and runes on his back glowed a blood red as thick red liquid wings sprout from his back and he shakily takes flight. "Can't fly!" Lalas reminded him, still running on the ground. "At least not yet, didn't get any knowledge on how to summon wings or make myself fly!" "My blood wings are forged from blood magic and serious concentration." He told her, as he wrapped his tail around her tightly and took off into the air with her safely in his grasp. She yelped at the sudden pickup, clinging onto his tail. "Ya good?" He asked, slowly flying closer to the smoke. "Can't get much higher, so keep an eye out!" "I'd rather keep both eyes in my head thanks," Lala said cheekily but nervously, looking around for any ranged undead just in case. "Hopefully they don't know how to use ranged weapons…" Bloodwing nods, descending close to the smoke in a clearing with no undead. However just as he was about to put his feet down, an arrow struck his shoulder, making him fall to the ground holding his injured and bloody shoulder.der. "Fuck! You alright?!" Lalas asked, scanning the area for his attacker. "Yeah, but I don't sense any undead or anything near us." He said, stumbling to his feet, looking around. "Sorry!" Another voice called from near where the smoke was coming from. "I thought you were an undead!" “Hey, do you know of any places that are safe?” The tiefling shouted to the person that shot Bloodwing. They could kick the jerks ass when they were safely in civilization. "Yeah, there's a safe zone near here." They said as bloodwing slowly stands. "Who are you?" Blood asked, holding his wound. "I'm sunset shimmer." She said removing her hood, revealing a head full of red and yellow hair with a yellowish color skin. “Your hair looks like bacon.” Lala said, blinking. They probably shouldn’t reveal any knowledge they had of what this world used to be. Actually… She looked at sunset closer, looking for any certain geodes around her neck. "I get that a lot." Sunset said jumping down to them from the hill she was standing on. She landed with a thump, a certain geod lala had been searching for popping free from under her armor. A longsword and short bow resting over her shoulders with a wooden shield. "You look like a paladin." Blood stated, his wound completely gone thanks to his own lay on hands powers "I am." Bacon head stated, looking him up and down. “Can we get to that safe haven now?” The tiefling asked impatiently. “Rather not be mauled by the dead today, thanks.” "Oh right, this way." She said leading them to the direction she had come from. "So what are you guys?" "Dragonborn." Bloodwing said, not revealing his full bloodline. “Tiefling.” Lala said. So much for potentially hiding it. She didn’t know how to cast any spell that did anyway, so this was probably for the best. "So a demon, how do I know I can trust you?" Shimmer said glancing at the Tiefling. "After all it was your kind that helped that…. Thing, do this to the world." Lalas shrugged. “Well, I was just turned into this for one. There’s also the fact that calling me a demon has made you a racist asshole in my eyes, just so you know. Am I gonna need to expect a lot of that in the safe zone? Cause I'm thinking of not bothering if I will.” The tiefling said. She took none of the shit. "No you won't, and I apologise." Shimmer said, sighing. "A… close friend of mine died because of a tiefling." Bloodwing simple had a hand on his own longsword, preparing to use it just in case while the girls talked. “We can talk about your issue with tieflings later, for now we should really get the hell outta here.” Lalas insisted, gesturing for Sunset to lead the way. "The safe zone is about three hours away." Sunset said. "I was out trying to hunt, but sadly there isn't much in the name of food anymore." "Why? How did all this happen?" Wing asked, raising what should have been an eyebrow but looked more like a scaly part of his skull. "It's hard to explain…" Sunset said. "It started not long after me and my friends found our magical geodes…" When Sunset had sighed to continue the story, both her and bloodwing grab their weapons and get into fighting stances. "Undead, coming in fast!" Wing said, holding his sword in a defensive stance. Lalas hid nearby. She’d used her daily rebuke, and all she could do for now was fire off random fire spells to try and help out. Lala saw a whole Horde of undead horses, cattle and other stead like animals stampeding close to her friend and the racist. The two began cutting them down, both using divine magic to cunt through them like butter. Shimmers geode was glowing with each and every swing causing more divine magic to flow through her blade, long after wings magic had faded. Once all the cattle and horses had been defeated, Wing flew into the air a bit, looking around. "I think that's all of them!" “Well… that happened.” The tiefling said, stepping around a couple undeads corpses she’d had to burn a hole through as they just ran past the other two. "This place is all jacked up." Wind said landing next to his friend. "We need to hurry." Shimmer said. "If there are this many undead around here, the safe zone might be in danger." “If it is, let’s hope I can use ‘fireball’,” The tiefling jokingly commented as they started rushing to the safe zone, inwardly wondering to herself if she could. That spell was… ridiculously strong, for what it was. Like what the hell. "If you're a wizard then most likely." Wing said flying next to me, the racist on his back holding on for life. Lala grabbed onto his tail when they got to the edge of the building, and hoped that she was light enough for him to carry both of them. "That's the safe zone!" Sunset stated pointing to a light in the distance. Wing nodded, flapping his wings harder and grunting in exertion, barely able to keep the two in the air. Lala resumed her task of watching down below for any creatures that might try to attack them, this time keeping an eye out for any archers on the roofs incase someone decided to pull a sunset and shoot them. Sunset looked down at Wing, looking a little worried. "Are your wings gonna be ok?" "Y-yeah, j-just a little tired." He said as the trio grew closer to the light, slowly but surely getting to their destination. Lalas looked up. “You could land near it, if you don’t think that you can make it all of the way there?” She suggested, not wanting to have the dragonborn drop down to the ground and make them undead food. That would be… highly unfortunate. "I am, I'm just trying to get as close as possible. I can sense more undead somewhere beneath us." He said panting a little as he flys upwards. "I need to work on my endurance." As they flew over a line of close together buildings that seemed to go straight to the light, she swung herself off the part dragons tail and started parkouring to keep up with him. It helped flight speed maxed out at running speed. He slowed down to fly next to her. "You didn't have to do that, I was ok." He said. She shrugged, focusing on breathing so she didn't tire out like he most likely was soon too. Once the three reached the roof closest to the light he landed, holding his hands on his knees as he breathed. Wing looked to the source of the light, gasping at the sight. The three came to the edge of the building, staring out at what appeared to be nearly half of the city protected by a magical barrier as thousands of undead creatures pounding at it. They could see canterlot high from their location, with multiple students still roaming around the soccer fields. "They should really consider making a wall or something behind that shield, it's gonna break eventually." The pink tiefling commented, grimacing at the ocean of undead before them. Blood and Shimmer both nod. "We're planning on it, but it's taking some time to get the materials." Shimmer said. The tiefling looked at them. "What about 'mold earth' and those kinda spells?" She asked, curious. If they did that it might take a bit, but they'd have a wall and possibly a moat too. Sunset rubs the back of her neck. "Well, spells like that and the paladin abilities and all that are new to us. Me and my friends pendants are the only reason we can use spells and such so well." Bloodwing suddenly grabbed the both of them and takes off into the air, rotating so they could see three skeletons with swords made out of bones looking at them. "How about we get in the city quickly." Wing said. Lalas nodded, throwing down a ball of fire out of spite at the skeletons and blowing them to pieces. Sunset laughs at the skeletons as bloodwing flys them to the force fields top. "Don't worry, as long as your not evil or undead your able to pass through the force field." Sunset said. Bloodwing nods as he speeds through the barrier, nearly avoiding some flying undead vulchers that had dive bombed near them. "Seriously? Undead birds now!" Sunset said in anger. "One probably tried to eat a zombie that was laying down and got bit by it." Lalas guessed, sighing. "Everyone now needs 'look up' training…" Bloodwing landed on the ground near the soccer field of canterlot high, sighing as well. "Yeah it also means that we'll have to make sky defenses as well incase the shield breaks." Sunset nods, looking around. "It'll be hard but with what I found before I found you two it may be possible." "If we could set up turrets somehow that'd certainly help…" The pink tiefling commented. Bloodwing nodded, glancing around before looking at sunset. "What did you find by the way?" "A map that leads to- hopefully- another safe zone. If we can combine the two somehow we'd have at least three or four days worth of travel distance to grow crops and set up defences." She commented as a rainbow haired girl ran up to her. "There you are Sunset, we were getting worried about you." She said glancing at bloodwing and lala but looked bloodwing up and down like Sunset had before. "And I see why you were late." Bloodwing raised an eyebrow at her. "Why are they looking at me like that?" He asked his tiefling friend. She shrugged. She didn't know. Sunset chuckles and nods. "Come on, you guys can sleep at our camp Tonight." She said to the two former humans. "I have been awake for whats been at most a hour but that sounds amazing." Lalas said, tail waving in exhausted excitement. "An hour in time but a year in exhaustion." Bloodwing commented with his wings drooping as he yawns. "I guess it's time for a long rest." He jokes. Rainbow raised an eyebrow at that. "What you think this is Oubliettes & Ogres?" Bloodwing just grunts as they all begin walking. "Something like that.." The group proceeded to the camp, Lalas immediately going into the sleeping bag offered to her and passing out. Blood did lay down as well once he ate a bit of rations and ensured his gold was somewhere no one would get it. He glanced at his companion and chuckles as he sees dash and sunset chatting, his eyes slowly closing as he drifts off to sleep as well.
