Chrysalis stood at the war room in Vesalipolis alone. She had directly ordered the guards to not let anyone in. The emerald-grey walls silently judges her as she looks over a map of the frontline.

They are a stone's throw away from victory. 100 Kilometres away from the Crystal City. Canterlot taken just last month following a gruelling siege on the mountains. Cloudsdale was stormed by Jägers and taken within a week. A deep thrust prevail deep into the city of Los Pegasus, where she had won her greatest victory. Her army could cut the Equestria in two by driving to the sea.

Yet victory comes at a cost, perhaps one that she could not pay. Her generals aren't able to advance any more. They simply don't have the number to cover such a large front. Then came news of an attempt on Admiral Lysander's life. Along with that, the Equestrian was able to capture an enigma machine.

The two problems went head on against each other. Thousands of soldiers are being trained and sent towards the front, but now the general tasked in recovering the contraption has requested a force of 20 000. A number she could not spare for a mission she could not ignore.

She starts to walk around the table, seeing the map of her kingdom; her empire. She looks over a map of Olenia, that seditious thorn. To a map of Equestria, fixing her two eyes on their capital, Canterlot. She will not retreat again, such notion she will not accept.

Turning once again towards the table map, she looks over the position of her army. A mere three division guards the Neighara Falls. Two south of Canterlot and two to its north. She squints as an idea forms. Her gritting teeth loosens as her frown turns to a simper.

She took on her white service cap next to the table.
She won't play the world's game, she'll cheat.
