To Steal a Secret

Once a toy factory, it is now surrounded by changeling soldiers. These however, are no mere regulars. The men of the 1st Jäger Brigade are infamously known everywhere.

The building they raided today was home to a dozen resistance member; all dead. While the Jäger's count three wounded.

A general walks through the main entrance. His neatly worn uniform stood out among the worn down troops. Yet, this was no fresh officer. Generalleutnant Erich Rhine was himself a Jäger during the conquest of Olenia, commanding the troops which took and held Cervus.

Casually he gestured towards his men to leave, a sign which they all took. Within minutes, the Jäger have left the area, leaving a burning wreck behind, a warning to those who dares to take up arms against them.

Heading towards another recently assaulted base nearby, he thinks to himself of how slow the week had been. Only three raids within a seven days. Down from the usual eight.

Then an order by radio. He is to immediately bring his force to Hjortland. He didn't ask why, he didn't need to. Rhine knows his assignment are always consequential.

He signals his radiomen to instruct the convoy back to base. They would refuel and head directly towards the Olenian city.
