Effervescence, or Sorbet Effervescence as she's known to her parents, finds herself taken back to her filly days, where private schools and tutoring kept her mostly indoors. Having to return to her parents following the arrival of an unusual letter, she learns that her entire future stands in the balance of a small, distant village, where a prince is locked in deciding what to do after the loss of his own family. Guided by the lessons handed down to her, and a childhood friend, Effie' comes to see she has much more to her than a talent for making ponies smile.
