The Heat Cycle is never easy for a Pony, especially in a place like Ponyville. Over time, it became far more customary for mares to find suitable partners to help each their burning itches. But over time, this led to many unexpected foals. So as per order of Mayor Mare, a new program was enacted, the Ponyville "Sleeves". This was little more than a public stockade that mares, and fillies just experiencing their first heats, could use. Any stallion, or old enough colt, could approach these ponies for their services as their position advertised their willingness to mate. Awkward at first, the idea became far more popular than expected. Soon enough, many ponies were using it, with rumors circulating that the trend was spreading all over Equestria.

Among the many residents of Ponyville, the cheerful mailmare, Derpy Hooves, is getting ready for her heat. What was once seen as a lonely despair, now she saw every heat as a new joy. And to add to her excitement, her daughter Dinky is just about to have her first heat. Wanting to ease her passion, as well as give her daughter the best possible experience, the motherly mare signed both of them up to be "Sleeves".
