(Alex's Point of View)

I was waiting a while for that pink pony to come back. I was waiting in this room, board out of my mind. I then tried walking like a pony, but it was hard for me to do it. I've been used to walking on two legs, but four legs, all at equal length, it's not easy for me. I then heard some hoofsteps, and I saw a blue pony with a pink mane that kinda looks like frosting on a cupcake. She had some sandwiches made for me.

"Oh, there you are, deary," said the mare. "Pinkie Pie has told me about you, and I feel sorry for you."

"Pinkie Pie?" I asked. "Is that the name of that pony that was in here, earlier?"

"Oh, I guess she didn't introduce herself," she said. "But, yes. Her name is Pinkie Pie. And I'm guessing you never introduced your name to her."

I shook my head no. I then said, "I just wanna know how I got here, and how am I going to get back." And I looked at the bow that was in my hair... I mean mane. "And where did this bow come from. It's just making me less like a boy."

"Oh, I know, dearie," she said. "It was actually an old bow of mine when I was around your age. I had it put in your mane while you were asleep to get your mane out of your eyes."

I then sighed deeply. But then I had that feeling. The feeling that I had to go. But, there were two problems. I didn't know how girls go to the bathroom, and I'm not sure that ponies have bathrooms.

"Oh," said the pony. "I'm guessing you have to use the bathroom."

I nodded. She then put the food tray onto the bed, and then picked me up with her mouth. It actually feels weird being carried around by my neck. She then took me to one room. Thank goodness. This world has bathrooms. But, it might be hard for me to go when I've become a female pony. She then got me set up onto the toilet on how I'm supposed to go as a girl pony.

I was then put back into the room where I had to wait for Pinkie Pie. The mare that took me up to the room, Mrs. Cake, wanted me to wait here until Pinkie Pie gets back. I just hope that she can find somebody... Oh wait. Since this is a world full of ponies, as Mrs. Cake said, I'm gonna have to get use to replacing body or one with pony. Anyway, I just hope that Pinkie Pie can find somepony to get me back to my normal body and gender.

I decided to get a bite to eat. I grabbed my sandwich, and started eating. But then I realized something. How am I gripping this sandwich when I don't have any fingers? I would have to ask somepony later. Right now, I'll just get back to eating this sandwich. What was in it, anyway? I took off one piece of bread and saw some flowers. But for some weird reason, I didn't feel my gag reflex trying to spit it out. I just shrugged it off and then continued eating my sandwich.

When I was finished, I decided to take a walk around the place. I don't think I was allowed to leave the place until Pinkie Pie got back. I was about to pass one door until I heard some giggling coming from inside. I looked inside and saw two, infant ponies inside, playing with some blocks. I saw that they were two different kinds of ponies. One was a girl unicorn, and the other was a boy pegasus. I then used a hoof to feel my private area. I miss having a penis.

I was then lifted into the air by... something. I then saw that I was surrounded by some blue aura. I then said, "Hey! What's going on?!" I then looked at the unicorn in the room. Her horn was glowing. I think she was the one who was lifting me. "Um, could you please let me down? I'm not very comfortable like this."

The baby didn't let me down. She was playing with me like I was a toy. It was making the two of them giggle. This wasn't funny.

"Put me down!" I shouted. "Please! I'm not liking this!"

I was then pulled in by a blue hoof. I heard Mrs. Cake said, "Now, Pumpkin, that is not how we treat our guests."

"But Mommy," said the unicorn. "I juss wanted to have fun. Wemme have some fun with her." By the way she sounds, she must be at least two years old.

"I know, Pumpkin," said Mrs. Cake, "but it's not polite to pick up somepony you want to play with." I then looked at the unicorn, and she started crying. Mrs. Cake then put me down and walked over to Pumpkin and picked her up and hugged her. "It'll be alright. You can play with her, but you just can't pick her up like that. She was uncomfortable like that."

"But why new pony here?" asked the pegasus. "Is she famwy?"

"I'm afraid not, Pound Cake," said Mrs. Cake. "She's just lost from where she used to be. Pinkie was the one who brought her in."

"Pinkie Pie bwought her in?" asked Pumpkin. "Why?"

"Look at this filly," said Mrs. Cake. "She's hurt. I just don't want you to do any more damage to what has happened."

"Okay, Mommy," said Pumpkin and Pound Cake in unison. I was then put down, and walked around the rest of the place. I saw a set of stairs and walked down them. I saw that a sweet shop was downstairs. I then saw a yellowish-orange pony. This pony looks like he's a male grown up.

He then noticed me and said, "Oh, hey. You must be that filly Pinkie told me and my wife about. Is it true you used to be a boy?"

I nodded. I then felt around my private area, not feeling what I'm used to.

"I guess I can understand what you're thinking," said the stallion. "You're used to having a penis instead of a vagina. That's what girls have in that area instead."

I sighed, and said, "I spent eight years as a human boy, and bow I lost both my humanity, and my gender. I don't know why this is happening, but I don't like it. I just want to be back to normal."

"I know," said the stallion. "I'm pretty sure that the princesses might find a way to help you out."

"Princesses?" I asked.

"Oh, right," said the stallion. "I keep forgetting that you're not from here and didn't grow up knowing how things work here."

He gave me a whole speech on how things work here. He said that here, their Princess, Celestia, is able to lift the sun into the sky to start the day. And that Princess Celestia's sister, Princess Luna, lifts the moon and helps prevent nightmares of any pony. They also were alicorns, which is a pony with wings and a horn. Mrs. Cake came in and helped out. And apparently, ponies here get marks on their flanks called Cutie Marks, and they appear when a pony finds their special talent.

But then, the bell over the door rang, and we looked to see who came. It was that pink pony, Pinkie Pie. She also had some other ponies with her. Three of them were alicorns, two of them were pegasi, one was a unicorn, and the last one was an Earth Pony like her. There was also another pony that looked around my age, and he was a pegasus. And there was also some kind of overgrown purple and green lizard.

"This is the pony you told us about, Pinkie Pie?" asked the purple alicorn. "Are you sure that she was born a boy?"

"That's what I've been told, Twilight," said Pinkie Pie. "Basically, I don't know anything else."

"Did you even ask her what her name was?" asked the orange Earth Pony.

Pinkie then went wide-eyed, and then grinned sheepishly, giggled nervously, and said, "I guess I forgot to ask her." She then laughed nervously.

"Well, now would be a good time to ask," said the blue pegasus with a rainbow colored mane.

"I guess so," Pinkie said. She then walked over to me and said, "I guess I never got your name."

"It's okay," I told her. "My name is Alex."

"Alex?" asked Pinkie, the purple alicorn, the two pegasi, the unicorn and the other Earth Pony. They then looked at the pegasus colt.

"Actually, I have heard that name before on Earth," said the colt. "It happens to be a name that's for boys and girls. If it's a boys name, it would be short for Alexander, but if it's a girls name, it would be short for either Alexandria, or Alexia."

"It's Alexander," I said.

"Yep," said the colt. "She used to be a he. Oh, I'm Danny by the way."

"Wait a minute," I said. "You're the colt who was human before?"

"Yep," said Danny. He then pointed towards the other ponies. Starting with the rainbow maned pegasus. "This is my adoptive mother, Rainbow Dash." She had her fore limbs crossed while flying, giving me a "'Sup?" nod. Then Danny pointed at the other Earth Pony. "That's Applejack." She tipped her hat towards me. Then Danny pointed at the unicorn. "That's Rarity." Rarity tossed her mane back, showing off her beauty. Then Danny pointed at the yellow pegasus. "That's Fluttershy." She had her face covered, but she still smiled at me. I could guess why she was called Fluttershy. Then Danny pointed at the alicorn, and that's the newest Princess of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle."

"A pleasure to meet you," said the purple alicorn. She then grabbed the overgrown lizard and said, "And this is Spike. He's a baby dragon."

"I just thought he was an overgrown lizard," I said. That made all but Spike laugh.

"Hey!" said Spike, crossing his arms. "Why does everypony say that before I introduce myself?"

"If you're a dragon, then where are your wings?" I asked.

"Don't have them yet," said Spike.

"Ah can tell that she's tellin' the truth about her bein' a boy," said Applejack. "Guess she ain't enjoyin' bein' one."

I sighed, and nodded.

"Perhaps the reason why she has come here has been implanted in her memories," said the blue alicorn. "I should look into her memories to see if I can find some answers on how young Alex got here in Equestria."

"Indeed, sister," said the white alicorn. These two must be Celestia and Luna. Judging by their Cutie Marks, they were the ones. The white one had the sun on her flank while the blue one had a white crescent moon with a black blotch behind it.

"Are you sure you can do that?" I asked. "I don't think you'll find anything in the memories of where my body is knocked out."

"Actually, I can," said Princess Luna. "The mind is able to remember everything that happens around them. Let's take this up in Pinkie Pie's bedroom."

Then we all headed up into the room where I woke up earlier. I was put into bed, and I was laying down on my back. I was getting a little worried about what was about to happen.

"Do not worry, Alex," said Princess Luna. "I shall see what is the cause of all of this." I nodded, and allowed her to do what she has to do. She lit up her horn, but all of a sudden, I feel really sleepy. I yawned, and then I shut my eyes. I just hope that Princess Luna will figure out what has happened to me.

Chapter 2: Journey into Alex's Mind

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

We all saw Princess Luna use her magic to put Alex to sleep. I was really anxious about what was in that former boy's mind. Princess Luna looked over at me.

"I guess since you're the one who found this human boy turned Earth Pony filly, I think it would be best if you would also like to find out," said Princess Luna.

"Really?!" I asked. "Well, I guess I would have to be the one to find out about the others find out, and I can probably help out if she needs any support."

"I'm sure she would," said Princess Luna. "Now, I'm going to have to put you to sleep as well."

"Well, I'm not sure it will be easy for you to put me to sleep," I said. But before I could speak more, I fell sleep myself, and not because of Luna's magic. Sometimes I fall asleep due to a sugar crash. I knew I shouldn't have put 40 pounds of sugar into my cereal.

I woke up inside a weird hall of stars and doors. I saw that standing next to me was Princess Luna.

I then asked, "Where are we?"

"Welcome to the mindscape, Pinkie Pie," said Princess Luna. "This is the place where all dreams are able to connected to my dream walking spell." She then lit up her horn. "Now, let us find Alex's mind."

Then all of the other doors zoomed past us, and one door coming in front of us. Princess Luna opened the door, and the two of us walked into the room. We saw a bunch of memories here. Most of them were about Alex, as a human boy, in an orphanage.

"Wait," I said. "Alex is an orphan?"

"That would explain why he hasn't given his last name," said Princess Luna. "His memory of him being delivered to the orphanage had his name, and his date of birth. He was born on April 4th, eight years ago."

"So, where can we find out how Alex arrived here?" I asked.

"Let's get this over with," said Princess Luna. She then zoomed towards the memories of when Alex was there before he woke up a pony filly.

We saw that he was in one of those cars from Earth. Alex was sitting in the backseat, eating something. But then we saw the driver of the car, coughing. That didn't look like okay coughing. He fell unconscious, and swerved the steering wheel to the right, causing the car to run into a ditch. I saw that Alex with the seat belt strap going through the front window. He landed on the other side of the ditch. It looks like he just died.

That caused both me and Princess Luna to gasp.

"HE DIED?!" I asked. My mane deflated. This was a sad moment. Then an orange flash of light appeared. I recognized this man. "Solar Eclipse?!"

"Oh god of all gods!" Solar Eclipse said in the memory. He ran over towards Alex's body. "This can't be good." He checked out Alex's old body, seeing that it was badly damaged. "I can fix this. This kid should live. Time for a revival spell. Hopefully, I won't mess this up." He then transformed into his pony self. Luckily for him, there wasn't another human for miles. He then started using his revival spell, and his eyes started glowing white. He healed most of the cuts on Alex's body, but then he used his magic to take Alex's body somewhere.

"Where is he going?" I asked.

"Let us find out," said Princess Luna.

Then the next scene of his memory came to view. He then appeared by the lake where I was before I found Alex. He put Alex down under the tree. He then said to himself, "Hopefully, somepony will take this kid to the hospital and get him patched up." He was about to leave, but looked back at Alex, confused. He then said, "Nah. It must be the lighting." He then vanished. But then "I" came out of the lake, and saw Alex laying there.

"So it was Solar Eclipse that turned Alex into a filly after he save his, er, her life?" I asked.

"Solar Eclipse was known to figure out every complicated spell in Equestria," said Princess Luna. "Did he intentionally turn young Alex into a filly, or was he did it and not know he accidentally changed Alex's gender. Let us get out of this kid's mind."

Then there was a huge flash of light, and we left the dream.

I woke up, and stood up. Luna finished getting out of the dream herself. We then looked at the group.

"Well, we know who sent Alex here to Equestria, and transformed him, er, her," said Princess Luna. "Solar Eclipse."

"Solar Eclipse?!" asked everypony else.

"As in Solar Eclipse, the pony who helped us win the trial of custody over me?" asked Danny.

"The same," said Princess Luna. "But, when he did the healing, he unintentionally had a magical burst, making the gender change of young Alex... permanent."

"P-P-Permanent?!" came Alex's voice. We all looked over towards Alex, and she was laying on my bed, leaning on the headrest, wide-eyed. "You mean... I'm going to be a girl... for the rest of my life?! And what do you mean revival?!"

Princess Luna walked over to Alex and said, "That vehicle you were in crashed, and that belt that kept you secure snapped off, sending you flying through the front window, nearly killing you. You would've died if it weren't for Solar Eclipse."

"But... but... why would he change my gender?!" Alex asked. "Why did I have to come here like this?!"

"I'm a little rusty!" came a voice. We all looked up at the balcony over my bedroom, and saw Solar Eclipse leaning over the railing.

"Solar Eclipse?" Twilight asked. "Did you know...?"

"I thought I used the right spell to revive him using an old spell I mastered when I was about your age," said Solar Eclipse. "But, I forgot about the side effects if I had a magical surge."

"What were all of the side effects?" Twilight asked.

"Either loss of hearing, lost of hind leg movement, or gender change," said Solar Eclipse. "All of them permanent, I'm afraid."

"NOOOO!!" shouted Alex. She then flipped over, burying her head into my pillow, and started crying loudly and muffled, kicking the bed with her hind legs.

Solar Eclipse came down the stairs and walked towards Alex. He then said, "I am so sorry. I didn't even remember the side effects until I got back on Earth. So, I came back to check on you to see if you had any side effects. But now, I know I got you the biggest one of the three by mistake. And sadly, no magical creature can change you back to your original gender. Even me."

Alex then turned her head towards Solar Eclipse, keeping her head attached to the pillow. She was still crying, but she did say, "I-I-I am st-still upset about th-this. B-b-but it was an accident. I-I forgive you."

"I'm sorry I did this to you," said Solar Eclipse. He wasn't given a response from Alex. Then we all left the room, leaving Alex in there, crying.

"I was afraid that one day, you would make a big mistake one day," said Princess Celestia.

"I was afraid of that, too," said Solar Eclipse.

"Sister," said Princess Luna. "We have some matters to deal with back in Canterlot."

"Right," said Princess Celestia. "We must leave you all here. We shall see you later."

"I'm going to want to have a talk with you two in private," said Solar Eclipse. "I'll catch up with you later."

The two of them nodded, and then they teleported off.

"I feel bad for Alex," I said. "She's been used to being a boy for eight years, in an orphanage, and now she's stuck here."

"Alex is an orphan?" asked Twilight.

"Yeah," I said. "At least it was better than Danny being orphaned by his own aunt and uncle."

"By the way, Danny", said Solar Eclipse, “there’s something you guys should know. It’s about your Aunt Natasha and your Uncle Reginald."

We looked over at him and Danny suddenly became a little uncomfortable, and so did Rainbow Dash seeing as she remember those two too well. The two of them exchanged a gentle hug, before Dashie asked, "“What about them, Solar Eclipse?”

“What can I say,” said Solar Eclipse, “except that you guys will never have to worry about them again. If you like, I shall explain.”

"Please do," said Rainbow Dash, giving giving Solar Eclipse the stinkeye for mentioning those horrid excuses for relatives while she was hugging Danny a little tighter, but no too tight to prevent herself from possibly choking him.

“You see,” began Solar Eclipse, “not long after you guys went back to Equestria, I visited them at the local prison in Tennessee, whereas I spilled the beans on them on why they lost in court that day. Also, I revealed to them who I really was, and let me tell you, they were far from happy when I told them everything. In fact, they were furious. So furious, that they threatened to tell them about my true self to everyone, especially after they would be released from jail. Unfortunately for them, despite it being very noble of them, it would have been very pointless for them. After all, without the right evidence and all, no one would believe them.”

“That’s a good thing,” said Spike, “isn’t it?”

“Truth be told,” said Solar Eclipse, “I had some kind of feeling that they would plan to break out of jail to exact revenge on us. So, as a precaution, I did the only possible thing. I visited them once again in jail. Only this time... I erased their memories.”

We could not believe our ears. Solar Eclipse erased their memories?

“Of everything?” Dashie asked.

With a smirk, Solar Eclipse replied, “Everything. About Equestria... about Nightmare Moon... about you guys... especially about Danny.”

"Hold on, Solar Eclipse," said Rainbow Dash, with her eyes going to realization. “According to what you just said, that would actually mean...”

“Congratulations, you all,” concluded Solar Eclipse, “thanks to me... you guys have definitely seen the last of them... for good.”

I looked over at Danny, and he was smiling, knowing that his ex-aunt and uncle were no longer a problem for him, or anyone of us.

"Wait a minute," I asked. "What about their memory of killing Danny's birth parents?"

"Good question," said Solar Eclipse. "They probably thinking about what has led them to take them down in the first place. I also made it so they will never be asked about Danny."

"Good call," said Twilight. "But now, what are we going to do about Alex? She's stuck here, in an unfamiliar body of the opposite gender."

"I suppose that one of you would want to watch over her," said Solar Eclipse. He then checked the time on his wrist watch and said, "Oh. I gotta go. I got a lunch date with a client in Washington. Gotta go." He then disappeared in a flash of light. We then looked at each other.

"So, who's gonna watch over Alex?" Dashie asked. "I can't because she's an Earth Pony, and only pegasus ponies are able to walk on clouds."

"I've got too much work on my hooves at the library," said Twilight.

"And a lot more animals have moved into my cottage," said Fluttershy. "I barely have room for one more."

"Well, Ah guess she might have to bunk with Apple Bloom if she stays with us," said Applejack. "She might have to adjust getting up early to do some morning chores."

"Well, there is a chance she could bunk with Sweetie Belle," said Rarity. "As long as the two of them get along."

"I guess I could ask Mr. and Mrs. Cake if I could have Alex stay in my room," I said. "But, I'm not too sure if they would allow her to stay."

"Oh, don't worry about it, Pinkie dear," came Mrs. Cake. "She would need all the support she can get. She would be welcome to stay here with us."

"Alright," said Twilight. "So Alex's only options of who she gets to stay with are Rarity, Applejack, or Pinkie Pie. Should we go back in there and tell her?"

"Perhaps it's for the best," said Rarity.

Then we all went into my bedroom, and saw Alex, sitting on my bed. Looks like she got all of the crying out of her. She looked at us coming in. Twilight then walked up to her.

"Well, Alex, since you have a slight problem of identity," Twilight said, "you are going to have to stay with one of three of us. You have three choices. Applejack, Rarity, or Pinkie Pie."

(Alex's Point of View)

I guess that Twilight has a point. If I was going to be stuck here, I might as well be living with one of these ponies. But before I get to choose, I have to get some information about which of the ponies of my choices before I go and live with them.

"Um," I said. "Maybe I should know something about who I have to stay with before I do."

"That's fair," said Rarity. "Well, if you stay with me, you would have to share a room with my sister. She might enjoy the company, and just so you know, I am a fashionista. You might get the chance to be in a dress specifically to match your potential beauty."

I went wide-eyed. If I stayed with her, I might be more girlish than I'm starting to feel. She was out. Then I looked over at Applejack.

"Well," said Applejack, "if ya stayed with me, ya'd be livin' on mah family's farm, Sweet Apple Acres. Ya would enjoy some delicious apples, but ya'd have to do some early chores, and help out around the farm. Plus ya'd have to bunk with mah little sis, Apple Bloom. She can be a bit aggressive when it comes to being playful, but she means well."

I thought about this. I wondered what it would be like to live on a farm. But hearing about having to do early morning chores, it sounded like I would have to wake up earlier than usual. I'm not much for early risings. Plus, I'm not sure that I would want to bunk with Applejack's little sister if she roughhouses me. Then I looked over at Pinkie Pie.

"Well, if you stay with me," Pinkie Pie started, "I'll make sure that you'll have the most fun time ever. We'll play games, have some good sweets, and even make some incredible parties for everypony!"

I thought about it. Pinkie does sound like a fun pony to be with. Although, she does live with Mr. and Mrs. Cake and their twin kids, Pound and Pumpkin. I'm sure that the twins will be mature enough to leave me alone at some times.

"Okay," I said. "I choose to stay with... Pinkie Pie." I pointed at Pinkie.

"YAY!" shouted Pinkie Pie.

"Well," said Applejack. "We can't convince her to change her mind unless she wants to."

"Indeed," said Rarity. "I can't argue with the choices of Alex."

"We'll be back to come check on her," said Twilight. "Let's get going."

Then Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Danny and Spike went out of the room. It was just me and Pinkie Pie in the room. Pinkie Pie then said, "So, what do you wanna do first?"

I thought about it. She was a nice pony. I then said, "Anything you want to. But nothing girly."

"Good call," said Pinkie Pie. "You're not used to being a girl."

(Third Person Point of View)

In Canterlot Castle, both of the princesses walked towards one wall. Celestia used her magic to open up a secret door, and they went inside. Inside the room was a room that looks likes somepony's study. In the room was Solar Eclipse. He saw the two sisters walk in.

"I see that you moved my old study from your old castle," he said.

"What have you wanted to tell us?" asked Princess Celestia.

"Well," said Solar Eclipse, "there is one more thing that involves the gender change that's going on to Alex. The more she grows, she'll start thinking like one. She'll still have her memories of being a boy, but I'm afraid that there's nothing we can do to stop her mental change."

"How long until she becomes mentally female?" asked Princess Luna.

"When she figures it out, two weeks," said Solar Eclipse. "When she is fully mentally female, three months."

"Shouldn't we tell her?" asked Princess Celestia. "She must know."

"When she makes the discovery, that's when she must be told," said Solar Eclipse. "Nothing can be done to prevent it. Once she starts thinking like one, she'll never go back to thinking boy things."

"Thank you for letting us know," said Princess Celestia. "I'll let the others know if Alex realizes that she's feeling like doing some girl things."

"Good," said Solar Eclipse. "I'll see you later." He then teleported himself out of there.

"I hope that Alex will make that discovery when she reaches two weeks," said Princess Celestia.

"I hope so, too, sister," said Princess Luna.

The Princesses looked towards Ponyville, hoping that Alex would be okay when she starts thinking like a girl.

(Alex's Point of View)

These last two days have been really tiring. Sure, I woke up here a girl pony three days ago. But yesterday, Pinkie got me signed up for school here. Everything was signed up, and I got everything for school, and I'm starting school on Monday. It's Friday right now, but I got some time. I also had my "Welcome to Ponyville Party" last night, and I was so exhausted, I just came home and passed out on the couch in the living area. Although, last night, Danny introduced me to the Cutie Mark Crusaders. At first, I was a little worried about meeting the younger sisters of the two ponies I rejected the other day, but they're not half bad once you get to know them.

I'm going to be waiting around Sugarcube Corner until Monday. Today, I woke up to the smell of my favorite breakfast being cooked. Blueberry pancakes, hash browns and scrambled eggs. I then got up, and headed for the eating area. I saw Mrs. Cake preparing a plate for me.

She saw me and said, "Good morning, dearie." She then looked back at her work, and then she looked back at me. "Oh, dear. I think Pumpkin was playing with your hair this morning."

"Huh?" I asked. I then looked back at the back end of my mane, and saw that is was braided into a pigtail. "Guess she finally got me. Pumpkin was playing with my hair yesterday, and I guess she finally got me today."

"Oh, let me help you undo it," said Mrs. Cake, undoing the braid in my hair. "There you go, dearie. Now, let me take this plate to the table, and you can start eating."

"Okay," I said. I had followed her to an open table, and she set the plate down. I got onto the table, grabbed a fork, and started eating my breakfast. But for some reason, I thought about that braid that Pumpkin got me with. Why doesn't it seem to bother me? It was weird, but I doesn't seem to bother me. So, I just shook that thought out of my head, and continued eating my breakfast.

I finished my breakfast, and I headed out. I looked around town and saw a bunch of ponies enjoying their days. I walked over to the park. My days here have been getting stranger and stranger. I'm starting to feel different, but for some reason it seems natural for me. I then looked over at the Golden Oaks Library. That's where Princess Twilight lives. I decided to pay her a visit. I walked in, and saw that the library wasn't very full. The only one there was Spike.

He saw me come in and said, "Oh. Hey there, Alex. What brings you here?"

"Well, since I don't start school until Monday, I might as well see if there are any instructional books that might teach me how to write like a pony," I told him.

"Understandable," said Spike. He then pointed a claw at a bookshelf and said, "Right over there."

I walked over to the bookshelf he was pointing at. I looked at a bunch of how to books. I then saw the book that says, "How to write." I then tried pulling off the shelf, but it was stuck. I was groaning.

"Hey, it's stuck," I said.

Spike walked to the bookshelf, and was helping me with getting the book off the shelf. Both of us were groaning.

"Did someone glue this book to the shelf as some sort of joke?" I asked.

"No way," said Spike. "Twilight has made a specific rule to keep arts in crafts for over there." He then pointed at an area that was marked "Arts and Crafts Area." We then went back to pulling at the book. Spike then said, "Pull on three."

"One... two... three!" Spike and I said in unison. Then we pulled the book out of the bookshelf. But then we saw more books coming off the shelves. Some weren't even on the same wall.

The sound of books falling alerted Twilight and she came down the stairs. She then asked, "What in Equestria just happened?!"

"It wasn't my fault!" I said. "I swear."

"It's true, Twilight," Spike said, having my back. "She was coming in here for a how to write book, but that book was stuck for some reason, and when we got it off, all these other books just fall off the shelves."

"Well, whatever happened," Twilight said, "I should probably get the library cleaned up. Spike."

"On it, Twilight," said Spike. He then grabbed the book I was looking for and handed it to me. I then grabbed it in my right forehoof. I know that walking with four hooves was hard, but three while holding a book in one hoof is very hard.

I then put the book on the table, and then I was about to open it up. But it was stuck. I shouted, "Oh, c'mon!" I then tried using both my hooves, and my mouth to open the book. And I finally got it open, but I was surprised to see what had happened.

"Hello there!" a creature made of different animal parts leaped out of the book, startling me.

"GAAAH!" I shouted, falling off of my chair.

Twilight and Spike looked towards where I was and saw this thing above me.

"Discord?!" Twilight asked.

"Oh, now this makes sense," said Spike. "Just what are you doing?"

"Oh, I came here to actually meet this young human boy turned filly," said the creature known as Discord. "I'm sure that she'll like to b my friend."

"Not if you do that to me again!" I shouted. "You almost gave me a heart attack!"

"Oh, I apologize about that," said Discord. "I just wanted to be friendly. I hope that one day, you'll be able to trust me."

I gave him the stinkeye. I then said to him, "If you wanna be my friend, don't just appear in front of me!"

"Don't worry about him, Alex," Twilight said to me. "I'm not too trusting about him either. Ever since he made me and my sister-in-law go on some pointless quest two weeks ago, while he was pretending to be sick."

"That is just mean," I said. "I hope he got what he deserved."

"Oh, he did," Twilight said. "My sister-in-law, Princess Cadance, caught him faking his illness, and then a creature called a Tatzlwurm came out of the ground and sneezed on him, making him actually sick."

Then Discord got between us and said, "Oh, I felt awful that day!"

"You should've," I said. "I gotta go. Mind if I check out this book?"

"Sure," said Twilight. She then took the book I had out of my hoof, and took it to the checkout desk. When she finished, she handed me the book, and I headed out. I'm pretty sure that the rest of the day will go by without anything crazy happening to me.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

I was working on plans or Dashie's birthday that was coming up. I was just about finished, and after I turned around for just one second, I noticed that my plans were messed up.

"WHAT?!" I shouted, seeing my plans messed up. Then I knew who was responsible for this. "DISCORD!!"

Then a snap of two fingers went off, and Discord appeared, and my plans were back to normal. He then said to me, "I have met that former human that you have taken in. She was not happy."

"Alex hates being spooked like that," I said. "Believe me, I found that out the hard way when I threw her a 'Welcome to Ponyville Party.' Anyway, what do you want, Discord?"

"Well, it concerns Alex's mind," sad Discord. "Have you noticed anything different about her? Mentally speaking?"

I thought about it, shrugged and said, "Nope. Nothing from my view."

"I see," said Discord. "Well, I would like to give you some advice. Keep an eye on Alex. Make sure she will be alright in the mind."

I was confused about that. But then, I went back to drawing up plans. Just then, I heard somepony walking in. I turned around and saw Alex coming in.

"Hey, Alex!" I said. "What are you up to?"

"Just wanting to get started on how to write before I start school," said Alex. She headed for the bed I recently got for her. She walked past a wall mirror, and looked into it. She saw that her hair bow was crooked, and fixed it, then continued to her bed. I was confused by that. I mean, she used to be a boy, but that was odd of her. But if anything else goes wrong with her and she notices, I'm taking her to see Twilight to see if there's something going on.

I decided to get back to work. I was wondering why she was doing a girly thing, but I decided to brush it off.

Dashie's birthday party, which was also on the same day she first came to Ponyville, went a complete success. Thanks to a little help from a party pony who was travelling across Equestria, Cheese Sandwich. I learned a valuable lesson. I was upsetting Dashie trying to prove that I was making sure I would be a better party planner than Cheese Sandwich. I let my pride get in the way and made it about me. I'm supposed to be the Element of Laughter, but I was doing the exact opposite of making ponies laugh. So, Cheese and I started making the party for Rainbow Dash, together.

I was just finishing up what I learned into the journal that my friends and I share. I was just finishing up until I saw Cheese Sandwich come up to me with a case, saying, "Just a little memento of my visit."

It opened up, and inside was Cheese Sandwich's prized possession, his rubber chicken, Boneless. I didn't know if I was hallucinating or not, but I could've sworn it had a rainbow going across it.

"You're giving me your special rubber chicken friend?" I asked him.

"Oh, he's not the only one," he said. But then I noticed that he had another rubber chicken, and it had the number 2 on it's stomach. Then Cheese Sandwich turned around and said, "Well, Boneless Two, another job well done. But it's time we mosey along." He was walking towards the sunset, saying, "Another town, another party."

Then my five friends, Danny and Alex came up beside me. I then said, "I never did get that pony's name."

"Cheese Sandwich! shouted my friends, Alex and Danny.

I then giggled and said, "Oh, yeah." I was messing with them. I just wanted to hear their reaction. I then looked at Alex and said, "Alright, Alex. Let's go home."

I then handed Twilight the journal, and then I grabbed Alex, and put her on my back. I walked into Sugarcube Corner, and I put Alex into her own bed that was next to mine.

I then asked Alex, "So, what did you think of that party?"

"That was awesome!" said Alex. "All of those cool games and rides there. I wish I would have something like that on my birthday. Although, I got this feeling that I want it... I don't know... a little... less noisy."

"Are you feeling okay?" I asked.

"I don't know," Alex said. "I feel weird. It's probably nothing." She then yawned. "I'm so tired." She then covered up, and fell asleep.

I giggled and covered up in my own bed. It's probably just nothing, but I'm starting to get a little worried about Alex. I know she was born a boy, but I think she's acting a little weird, lately. If something goes on, and she starts noticing, I will take her to Twilight to see what is going on. I'm starting to think that Discord might have been trying to say something about Alex. I should keep tabs on her, just in case.

(Alex's Point of View)

It was Monday. Today was my first day at school. I got my bags ready, and I headed downstairs. I saw that Mrs. Cake has prepared me a lunch for school. She also handed me a blueberry muffin for breakfast. I then headed out to school. As I was headed there, I was caught by the attention of somepony.

"Hey, Alex!" I turned around and saw Danny flying down.

"You're flying?!" I asked. "You were born human, how are you flying?"

"I was here for 2 and a half years," Danny said. "Mom taught me how. Now, c'mon. School's going to be starting soon." We then started running towards the school. We walked in and then Danny walked over to his desk. I felt a hoof over my back, and I looked at who has put their hoof on me. It was the teacher of this school, Miss Cheerilee.

"Hello there," said Cheerilee. "I was wondering when our newest student would arrive."

"I'm pleased to be here," I told her.

"Well, let's get you up to the front and announce you to the class," said Cheerilee. She then had me to the front of the class, and she stood next to me, and she said, "Good morning, class."

"Good morning, Miss Cheerilee!" said the class. I could recognize four of them. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Danny.

"Before we begin, we have a new student joining us," said Cheerilee. "Her name is Alex. Now, she used to be a human... a human in the opposite gender... but I want you to treat her as she is a part of any other pony in Equestria."

"Yes, Miss Cheerilee," said the class. I was a little upset that the mentioning of my gender being changed, but I had to just put it aside.

Cheerilee then put a hoof on me and said, "Now, why don't you take a seat over between Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle?"

"Okay," I said. I walked over towards the desk open between Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. I took off my saddlebags, and got onto my seat. It was weird at first, sitting like a pony. It feels weird sitting on my butt and haunches. Anyway, Cheerilee started the class. I couldn't let my thoughts get in the way of learning, like I was told by one of the nuns back in my old orphanage.

Good thing I learned how to write as a pony, otherwise I wouldn't be taking any notes. I learned a lot about Equestria's history. It sure has a lot of things similar to Earth. As I was taking notes, I got hit by something on the back of my neck. I looked towards where whatever hit me came from, I looked and saw another pink Earth pony. But, she had a light purple mane with a white stripe, and a tiara in her mane. She was giving me a look the way bullies give.

I've dealt with bullies back in Seattle, and I usually tried to ignore them. And if that bully just doesn't leave me alone, I usually pull a major prank on them, making them regret picking on me. It's like bad karma. So today, I'll just ignore her. I continued taking notes, but then I got hit in the back of the neck again. I looked at her again, getting angry. Apple Bloom noticed me looking back at that pink pony.

Apple Bloom raised a hoof and said, "Miss Cheerilee. Diamond Tiara's pickin' on Alex!"

Then Miss Cheerilee walked over towards that other pink pony's desk. She then said, "Is this true, Diamond Tiara?"

"Well, of course!" she said. "She's weirder than the other human turned pony. Why would she claim that she used to be a boy? She's pretending. That's just weird, and I don't like weirdos here."

"Hey!" I said. "I'm not pretending that I was a boy!"

"Actually, Applejack was with Pinkie Pie when she got Alex signed up," said Cheerilee. "And Applejack was the one who told me about this filly being a human boy. She's not used to being a girl."

"Then why did this former human's decide to change its gender?" asked the pony known as Diamond Tiara.

"I didn't!" I shouted. "The one who did this to me saved my life, but accidentally changed my gender, and sent me to this world."

"Well, maybe you shouldn't have come here at all," said Diamond Tiara.

I was so angry at her, I wanted to punch her so hard, but something was preventing me. It's probably the fact that I was taught not to start a fight by the nuns at my old orphanage. They also said that boys weren't allowed to hit girls. So, I restrained myself.

"That's it," said Diamond Tiara. "Don't fight somepony who is superior to you."

"I don't see you as superior," I told her. "You're just a bully who doesn't see the pain others are receiving from what you're doing. No matter if it's physical... or emotional." She then got confused at what I just said, and thought about it. "Who told you that you had to be superior to all other ponies beneath you?"

She then changed her expression from confused to sad. She then said, "My mother. She... she says that I have to feel superior to all ponies who aren't rich."

"I was told that being rich doesn't make you better than everyone else," I said. "Money doesn't get you everything."

"Money?" asked Diamond Tiara.

"It's currency on Earth," said Danny. "Our world has multiple versions of currency, depending on what country you're in."

"Understandable," said Cheerilee. "Now, let's get back to studying." She then walked towards the front of the room. I then started continuing my study of the class.

We all went out for some recess. I was still a little worried now that I'm a pony. It's going to be really weird for me to have some playground fun as a pony. I headed for the swing set, but it was going to be hard for me to not only get on the swing, but off of it as well.

I then tried getting onto one of the swings, but I fell off, landed on my face, saying, "Ow!"

"I know how you feel," I heard Danny say. I got up, turned around and looked at him, and he said, "Happened the first time I got onto that thing, too."

He then helped me up, and I got back onto my hooves. I said, "Thanks."

"No problem," Danny said. "Human or not, we should stick together."

I blushed and said, "I... I guess we do."

"Are you okay?" asked Danny. "Your face looks kinda red."

I then shook my head and said, "I'm okay." Then I turned my head to the right, and thought to myself, "What was I thinking? I guess I was blushing because I fell, but I got this feeling that it's something else, but I don't know what. Perhaps it'll go away in time."

"Anyway, want to play with the Cutie Mark Crusaders in a game of hoof ball?" asked Danny.

"I don't know what that is," I said, "but it sounds fun. How do you play?" I followed him to where the Cutie Mark Crusaders were.

Danny walked over to where Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were and said, "She's in."

"Alright," said Apple Bloom. "Ah'll tell ya what to do. Two teams have one member of each three normal tribes of ponies. The center is where the Earth Ponies stand to buck the ball to start off. The pegasi defend the goal to where their opponent is to get the ball to. And the unicorns hold the goal with their magic and is to catch the ball."

"Okay," I said. "It might be a little complicated for me. I might have a hard time bucking."

"Good call," said Apple Bloom. "Part of it is balance and..." she then got confused and turned her head towards Danny and said, "What was it called again?"

"Upper body strength," Danny said.

"Of course," said Apple Bloom. "Then ya just kick your back legs."

"Okay," I said. "So, it's kinda like a mixture of basketball, soccer and kickball, all at once."

I heard Danny laughing. We then saw another unicorn coming up to us with a trampoline. This unicorn has a purple coat that was lighter than Twilight's, and her mane was blonde.

I was confused by why she brought the trampoline and asked, "Why is she bringing over a trampoline?"

"Oh," said Scootaloo. "The truth is... I can't... fly."

"Oh," I said. "Has anypony tried making your wings bigger with some magic? Maybe a size spell?"

Then she looked at her wings and said, "Why didn't I think of that before?"

We all laughed at that and then started playing.

I finally reached Sugarcube Corner, and I went inside. I looked around and saw that nopony was in there. I then saw a note taped to the wall by the stairs. I walked over to it, and started reading it.

"Alex, if you get home and we're not there, we're out doing a delivery out of town, and Pinkie Pie is out making deliveries around Ponyville. Watch the twins until Pinkie gets back. I hope you're mature enough to watch over Pound and Pumpkin until Pinkie gets done. Signed, Mrs. Cake."

I sighed, and then walked up the stairs to the bedroom areas of the place. I walked over towards the room where Pound and Pumpkin were getting up from their nap. They yawned and saw me come in.

"Alex!" said Pound and Pumpkin. Pound flew out of the crib while Pumpkin just levitated herself out. Then they went over to me, and tackled me.

"Hey!" I said as they tackled me. I then started laughing because they were nuzzling my stomach and it was tickling me. "Stop it! That tickles!"

I just hope that Pinkie Pie gets home before this gets out of hand.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

I just got done delivering all of the cakes, pies and other sweets to the ponies I had to make deliveries to. I put the cart back around the back of Sugarcube Corner. It was 8 p.m. when I came home.

"Alex! Pound! Pumpkin!" I called out. "I'm back!"

There was no reply. I started getting a little nervous, and I then went up to the room where Pound and Pumpkin were, and... to my surprise, I saw the twins, and Alex sleeping on the floor together. I also saw that Alex put her saddlebags outside of the door. I checked them, and saw that she was done with her homework. She must've done it when she was watching the two.

When I walked towards the three of them, I saw that Mrs. Cake's makeup kit was on the floor by Pumpkin, and I saw that Pumpkin didn't have makeup on. Then I just realized something. Since Alex had her backside facing towards me, I wondered something.

I turned Alex around, and saw that she had a lot of Mrs. Cake's makeup smeared all over her face. Eye shadow, moisturizer, false eyelashes, and a lot of lipstick covering at least an inch around her mouth. Alex must've been tuckered out when watching them, and Pumpkin thought that Alex would look good in makeup, and she put it on her when Alex fell asleep.

I then grabbed Pound and Pumpkin, and put them back in their beds. Then I walked over to Alex, and grabbed her, and took her to the room that she and I share. I then put her on her bed and gently shook her awake. She stirred around and then looked up and saw me.

"Oh," said Alex. "Hey, Pinkie." She didn't seem to be aware of the makeup on her face.

"Alex," I said, "you might not like what Pumpkin did to you when you were sleeping."

"What?" she asked. I then grabbed a mirror, and showed Alex her reflection. She went wide-eyes, and wiped the lipstick from her mouth. "Oh, c'mon! First it was my hair, and now my face?! I wasn't really a girl before!"

"I know," I said. "But, you really shouldn't fall asleep when Pumpkin Cake is around."

"I guess you're right," said Alex. "But, I don't want to do anything too girly." I then helped her get the makeup off of Alex's face. "I have my own dignity. I don't want to lose it by doing girly things."

"I'll let Mrs. Cake know and she'll set Pumpkin straight," I told her. "Now, let's get you into a bathtub, and we'll get you some dinner, and then we'll go to bed."

"Okay," said Alex. I then took her to the bathroom, and got her cleaned up. Then we got her some dinner, and then we went to bed. I just hope that Pumpkin will learn not to make Alex more of a girl when she was actually a boy.

My first week of school went good, but I had to get used to going to public school before I was home schooled at the orphanage I used to live in. And last night, Mr. and Mrs. Cake were going to see some family, and Pinkie Pie went back home to help take care of her family. So, she allowed me to stay with Rarity and Sweetie Belle, and Pinkie Pie wouldn't be back until today.

We didn't have school today because two ponies, Snips and Snails, came in with an ant farm full of termites, thinking they were cockroaches for show and tell. So, I stayed the night with Sweetie Belle on a roll away bed that Rarity installed for me if I was going to sleep over.

"Oh, Alex," said Rarity. I looked over at Rarity, and she was smiling at me. "I know you don't like doing anything feminine, but I was wondering if you would allow me to design some clothing in your size? I rarely get to work with a filly your size and coat color."

I was a little nervous about this, but for some reason, I didn't want to turn her down. I then looked up and said, "I guess it'll be alright. But I don't want to be caught doing girly things."

"I understand," said Rarity. "It'll by our little secret." She then looked towards her sister and asked, "Right, Sweetie Belle?"

"My lips are sealed," said Sweetie Belle.

I was put into being a manikin position for ponies, and Rarity was designing a dress for a pony that was like me. I was really upset about this, but I'll get over it, as long as something doesn't go wrong.

"Alright, Alex," Rarity said, getting my attention. "It's all done. Take a look."

I then looked at my reflection in the mirror and saw... me... in a beautiful dress. I smiled.

"I... I love it," I said. Then I looked up at Rarity, and she was giving me a confused look.

"You... love it?" asked Rarity. "But... I thought you weren't into girly things."

Then I went wide eyed and remembered what I just said. Then I asked, "What? Why did I say that? I shouldn't be able to be thinking such words."

"Are you okay, Alex?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Is something going on?"

"I... I don't know," I said. "Why am I thinking such girly things?"

"Wait a minute," said Rarity. "Let me try something. Alex, what do you think about wearing makeup?"

"Well, I guess it's good for some special occasions like dances or fancy balls," I said. "I feel pretty wearing it." Then I just went wide eyed, again. Then I shook my head and I turned my head towards Rarity, and asked loudly, "What's happening to me?! My mind is being messed up!"

"We must tell Twilight about this," said Rarity. She then took the dress I was wearing off. For some reason, I blushed, having to be undressed like that. Then got shocked and shook my head again.

"Why am I thinking these things?" I asked. "I'm scared, Rarity. What am I going to do?"

"Let's get you to Twilight, immediately," said Rarity. Then the door opened and in came Pinkie Pie.

"I'M BACK!!" Pinkie Pie shouted.

"Pinkie Pie!" I ran over to her. I grabbed her and started crying.

"Alex?" Pinkie asked. "What's wrong?"

"Pinkie, dearie," said Rarity. "It would seem that... Alex's body might not have been only thing that has changed. Her mind is changing. She's becoming mentally female as well."

"WHAT?!" asked Pinkie Pie. She then grabbed me, and held me up to her face. I was showing Pinkie Pie how scared I was. I didn't know what to do. She then hugged me, and then said, "We need to get to Twilight, now!"

She then put me on her back, and then she, Rarity and Sweetie Belle ran towards the library. I just hope that Twilight would be able to help me.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

After hearing that Alex's mind was changing, I knew immediately that Twilight was the only pony to help Alex in this way. With Rarity and Sweetie Belle behind me, I bashed the door to the Golden Oaks Library, and saw Twilight and Spike there.

"TWILIGHT!" I shouted. "Something's wrong with Alex!"

"What?!" Twilight asked. "What's wrong with her?!"

Rarity came up to Twilight and said, "Well, I wanted to ask Alex if she wanted to help me with a dress. But then when I finished that dress, she actually 'loved' it. I was confused, but then I tested her mentally, and... she's becoming female mentally."

"What?!" Twilight asked. "I didn't know something like this could happen." I set Alex down on the table, and then Twilight used her magic to see what was going on. She then frowned worriedly and said, "Her... her mind is part female's now. And... the feminine side is expanding. I'm not sure if I can stop it."

"NOO!" shouted Alex. "I don't wanna think girl thoughts!" She then grabbed Twilight and said, "You gotta fix this! I don't wanna think girl thoughts! Please, help me!"

Twilight looked towards Spike and said, "Spike, take a note."

"On it," said Spike. He then pulled out a quill and a piece of parchment, and then started writing what Twilight wanted him to write.

Dear Princess Celestia,

We got a problem that concerns our new human turned pony, Alex. It would seem that her mind is starting to transform from male into female. She is really scared of what happening. She doesn't want to feel this way, and we must figure out a way to stop this before she thinks nothing but girl thoughts.

I hope you have the answer that'll help Alex out of this. She is really freaking out about this.

Princess Twilight Sparkle

Spike finished writing, and then blew his flames on it, making the message get sent to Princess Celestia. Alex was confused about that.

"Why did he write what you say, and then just burn up that paper?" Alex asked. "That's a waste of paper, you know."

"Actually, Spike's breath is magical," said Twilight. "Sometimes, it burns and sometimes, it sends things to who he wants to be sent to."

"Then, how does he get a response?" asked Alex.

"You'll find out soon," said Twilight.

"I hope Princess Celestia finds out how to fix Alex," I said. "I don't her want to think suffer by thinking girl things without realizing it."

"I was afraid this might happen," came a voice. I knew that voice. Discord.

Then a popping sound and a flash of light appeared, and Discord appeared, laying on top of that wooden bust of a pony's head on that table like it was a lounge chair.

"Discord!" said Twilight, Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Spike and I.

"I should've known!" I said. "You're the one who's been messing with Alex's mind!"

"Don't judge to conclusions, Miss Pie," said Discord. "I wasn't responsible for Alex's mind changing to one of a female's, but I did detect her mind changing when I first met her."

"WHAT?!" asked Twilight, Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Alex and I.

"I've been keeping progress of her mind becoming one of a female's mind," said Discord with a line that looks like it's counting down. "This line represent's Alex's mind. The blue part of the line represents his progress of being male. And the pink line represents the female thoughts that's coming in. The pink line is growing over the blue line."

"So, eventually, I'll be thinking nothing but girly thoughts?" Alex asked. She then shed a few tears from her eyes. "I don't wanna be a girl mentally! I have to be thinking boy thoughts!"

"Wait a minute," said Twilight. "Discord once corrupted our minds when we first met."

"I remember that," said Rarity. "I was still upset that he made me greedy for everything around me, and he made me think a boulder was a giant diamond. What are you getting at, Twilight?"

"I might regret this," said Twilight, "but perhaps Discord could... fight the corruption in Alex's mind with another corruption."

"Are you sure about this?" I asked. "What if he can't stop it? Or worse. What if he speeds up the female thoughts?"

"I know you're worried, Pinkie," said Twilight, "but right now, we don't have a choice."

Then Discord got closer to Alex, and then he touched foreheads with her, and then Alex's eyes went spiraling with different colors. But then a small burst of light appeared from between Alex and Discord, sending Discord flying away from Alex.

"My word!" said Rarity. We all then ran over to Discord.

"Are you alright?" Twilight asked.

"I... I'm fine," said Discord. "I don't know what happened, but I think it's done."

Alex shook her head, and looked towards us. She didn't look any different.

"Alex," I said. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," said Alex. "I'm fine."

"Alex," Twilight said, "try thinking of your interests out loud. What do you like to do?"

"Okay," said Alex. "Let's see. Football, wrestling, belching, spitting contests..." We were smiling that he was able to think boy thoughts. But all of that started changing. "...dressing up... makeup... playing with dolls..." She then widened his eyes when she started thinking those thoughts. "NOOO!! Why is this happening?!"

"Oh, dear," said Discord. "I thought I did it correctly, but I guess the corruption in her mind has pushed it out."

Then Spike started hacking. We looked towards him, and then he belched, and out came a scroll from his emerald flames. He grabbed it, and opened it up. He then started reading.

Dear Princess Twilight

I was hoping that you would write to me about this. It turns out this was also a part of the side effect that Solar Eclipse had mentioned to us about. And according to him... there is no known way of undoing this. You should alert this to your friends and Alex's friends. They should all get to know what is happening to her.

I'm sorry for how much Alex is suffering mentally. Help her through this. She's going to need all the help she can get.

"Oh my goodness," said Rarity. "So it was a part of that side effect as well."

I looked over at Alex, and she was crying. I then talked up to her.

"Alex?" I asked. "Are you okay?"

"No! I'm not okay!" Alex shouted. "I don't want to be girl minded!" She then ran out of the library, heading off somewhere.

"ALEX!!" I shouted. I then faced the others and said, "We gotta help her! She might not know what she'll get herself into!"

"Pinkie's right," said Twilight. "Search all over Ponyville for Alex. I just hope she'll be okay mentally."

I looked towards where Alex ran off to. I hope she doesn't get too upset about this.

(Alex's Point of View)

I couldn't believe it. Because of that dumb spell, I was not only changed physically, but I was still changing. But this is mental changing. I ran out of the library, upset about what happened. I didn't know where I was going, but right now I didn't care. I just ran away without knowing where I was going. I was passing by different places in Ponyville, still crying about what was happening. I'm pretty sure that I passed Pinkie's friends along with Danny, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo.

I didn't want to talk to them because I was still upset. I didn't care about wanting to be talking about this. I ran into the forest without thinking. I tripped on a stone, tumbling down on a slope, and I was sent flying, and I hit a tree, landing on my head.

I was going under, but I could've sworn I saw somepony walking towards me. I couldn't tell what kind of pony it was because of the cloak that pony was wearing. I then blacked out.

Twilight, Rarity, Sweetie Belle and I ran out of the library, started looking for Alex. We have to find her before something bad happens to her.

"Pinkie!" came Dashie's voice. We stopped and saw Dashie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Danny coming over to us. "We just saw Alex running all over Ponyville. She looked upset about something."

"Well," I said. "Apparently, Alex... is still... changing."

"What?" Applejack asked. "What are ya sayin', Sugarcube?"

"We just found out that Alex's mind is changing as well," said Twilight. "She's starting to think thoughts girls should think of, and she used to be a boy."

"WHAT?!" shouted Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Danny.

"Oh, man," said Danny. "That's... that's just wrong. She probably didn't take it very well."

"No, she didn't," I told Danny.

"Alright, everypony," said Twilight. "Let's split up. Check all areas of Ponyville and ask any ponies if they've seen Alex. If they haven't seen her, tell them what's going on with her, and have them search high and low for her."

We all nodded and then split up. I just hope Alex would be okay. Wherever she is.

(Alex's Point of View)

Dream World...

I was dreaming that I was having a paintball war with my old friends from the orphanage before they got adopted. It was a fun memory. The nuns decided to take us to Paintball Sports Park for some fun. It was boys only since the girls didn't want to get messy.

I was just about to win and I turned around a corner, and for some reason, I wasn't in the park anymore. I was confused. It looks like I was in a castle bedroom, looking really girly. I then turned around, but it didn't turn back to the paintball park. I was really scared. But then I looked down and saw that I was in a dress.

"What the heck?" I asked. It was the girl voice I had. "No! This can't be happening!"

Then the door opened, and in came a fancy looking man you see in those Disney princess movies, like Cinderella or Frozen, or even Sleeping Beauty. I was confused about this, but then the man started talking.

"Princess Alexia, you're needed in the ballroom," said the man. "The ball cannot start without you."

Ball? As in a fancy dance? Why should I be dreaming of such things. I should tell him that I'm not feeling up for it. So that's what I'll tell him.

But instead of what I wanted to say, something else came out. "I'll be down shortly." I then realized what I just said, and went wide eyed.

"Of course, your highness," said the fancy man. He then left the room.

I was getting worried about what was happening. This is my dream. I shouldn't be able to be dreaming stuff like this. I looked over to the make up table, and walked over to it. In my reflection, I saw that I had a bunch of makeup on, and my hair was styled up.

"This can't be happening!" I said. "I gotta get this stuff off of me." I then grabbed a rag, and tried wiping this makeup off my face. But then I removed the rag, and looked at my reflection, and... my reflection made me look more girly. "What?! How?!" I then looked at the rag I was holding, only to be replaced with makeup supplies. "No! This can't be happening!"

I then turned, and nearly lost my balance. I didn't know what was happening, but there seems to be something on my feet. I then moved the poofy dress backwards, then looked at my feet and saw... high heels?

"No!" I said. "I can't be thinking these. I have to get out of this!" I then tried pulling this dress off, but there was something in my hands, and my arms put it on my neck. I looked down at it, and saw it was a beautiful necklace. "What?! No! This is not what I wanted! I gotta get out of here!" I then headed for the door. But, when I was expecting a hallway of more doors, I saw what looked like a ballroom. "Uh oh."

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the ball, Princess Alexia," came that same man's voice. I tried getting out of there, but my body had other ideas. It moved down the stairs, and headed for the middle of the ballroom. I was looking around to ask someone to help, but I saw human versions of my pony friends, like Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Dinky, and other fillies in my class dancing with the boys from my old orphanage.

I then looked to where I was walking towards, and I saw... Danny. In his human form. I saw a picture of Danny from his iPod Touch of what he used to look like. He had a crown on his head, and he held out his right arm.

He then asked me, "May I have this dance?"

I didn't like where this was going. I had to get out of there. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, but I didn't want to dance with him. So, I had to tell him that I wasn't in the mood. "Of course I would." Why did I say that? It's like my body is on strike.

"It would seem that our princess has found her prince," said that man that came into that room I was in. "Is there going to be love between Princess Alexia and Prince Daniel of the Mid-Eastern Kingdom?"

No! This can't be happening. My body was ballroom dancing on it's own, and I had no control of it. It then moved in to kiss. I couldn't believe it. I was going to kiss Danny. This can't be happening. Wake up, wake up, wake up! Wake up from this nightmare!

Real World...

I then woke up, shocked, and breathing hard. I held a hoof to my chest. My condition was getting worse. I didn't want to dream like that ever again. But, there's nothing I can do to stop that. I'm... I'm getting more girly by the minute.

But then I looked around. I was in a bed with a leopard skin blanket. I also looked around the room, and I saw some sort of weird things. It reminded me of that villain from that Disney Movie, the Princess and the Frog. I was getting scared. I saw wooden masks, bottles of stuff, and a huge pot used for brewing things. I decided to get out of the bed.

"I was wondering when you would wake," came a voice. "I was worried for your own sake." I looked towards where the voice was coming from, and saw... a zebra? She was smiling at me. I could see that she was wearing large golden ring earrings, four rings on her neck, and five rings on her left hoof.

I was shaking. I was afraid of what else she would do to me.

She chuckled and said, "Do not worried, young filly. I do find you to be a little silly. Might I ask where you came from? Do have a lot to say, or just some?"

"Why are you rhyming like that?" I asked.

"It is a custom to all of my kind," she said. "It is natural for us to talk in rhyme."

I then remembered, I was mentally changing. I then started crying. I didn't want to be thinking girl thoughts for the rest of my life. I was a boy, and I'm losing my mind having my thoughts being replaced with girl thoughts.

I felt a hoof pushing my chin up, and I saw that it was that zebra. She then asked, "What is wrong, may I ask? Perhaps I'll have something more to task."

"I don't know if you'll be able to help," I said. "Have you heard of a creature known as human?"

"Humans are known to me, from a world where they're all spanny," said the zebra. "I do know of one former human by the name of Danny."

"Well... I used to be human, too," I told her. "But, when I was human, I... was... in the opposite gender." I looked at me, and she looked really confused.

"A human boy you used to be? That is quite surprising, even for me," said the zebra. She then pulled a strand of hair from my mane, making me yelp in pain a bit, and then she put it into the big pot. "Perhaps there is something more to what you say. I just hope what is happening has a huge price to pay."

"I already know," I told her. "I just found out. My mind is changing to one of a girl's. I don't want that. I'm scared."

"Do not be scared, young one," said Zecora. "I shall try to find the answer before the changing of your mind is done."

"I just hope so," I told her. Then I just remembered, I never introduced myself. "My name's Alex."

"A pleasure to meet you, my little flora," said the zebra. "I am the great brewer of potions, Zecora."

"Zecora?" I asked. Then I remembered. Pinkie Pie mentioned that there was a zebra that comes to Ponyville from time to time, and her name was Zecora. This must be her. She then looked into that brewing pot she had.

"It might be hard for me to get some what you need," said Zecora. "But I'll get the results in before those girlish instincts finish their feed." She then faced me. "How about now, we get you back into town? I'm pretty sure the ponies taking care of you are turning Ponyville upside down."

I guess that makes sense. I'm sure that Pinkie's got everypony looking for me all over Ponyville. Zecora then grabbed my scruff, and then put me on her back. I was still upset that I was mentally changing. I couldn't stop this. But hopefully Zecora could find a way.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

All of the ponies in Ponyville looked high and low for Alex. I was getting worried for her. So far, nopony had found Alex. I had my mane straight, and I was pacing back and forth.

"Pinkie," said Twilight. "I know you're worried. But we're all doing our best to find Alex."

I then grabbed Twilight and said, "I can't let her be out there all by herself! She's scared that she'll be mentally female forever! We have to find her!"

Then Discord came in between us and said, "Perhaps I can be of assistance."

"Not now, Discord!" Twilight and I said in unison.

"Alright, fine," said Discord. "Then I'll not mention to you that Zecora is coming in with Alex on her back. Oh, wait, I just did." He then pointed towards somewhere, and we followed where he pointed, and saw Zecora there. We then ran up to her and saw that Zecora did have Alex on her back.

"Alex!" I said. I then grabbed Alex off of her back, and she clung onto me. "I know, Alex. I know. You're scared."

"She has been distraught for quite some time," said Zecora. "She is hoping on getting some answers of mine."

"You're trying to find a way to stop Alex from changing mentally as well?" Twilight asked.

"It might take me a while for the answer to come," said Zecora. "But I'm afraid that it might not be here until the change is done."

"Well, according to Princess Celestia," Discord said, "she said that Alex's mental change won't be finished until twelve weeks after she arrived."

"That means we have until a week after school ends until she is fully changed," said Sweetie Belle.

"We can't let that happen," said Danny. "Alex is used to being a boy for eight years. She doesn't want to feel this way."

I then looked at Alex. She really was upset. I then said, "I'm gonna take her home. Let her get some rest." I then headed off to Sugarcube Corner. I could sense that everypony around me was upset for Alex.

I finally arrived back home, and I put her in her bed. She was really upset. It would seem that she didn't let go, and was clinging onto me.

"Alex," I told her. "You can let go now."

"No," said Alex. "Please don't."

"Alex? Are you okay?" I asked.

"No," she said. "I'm upset that I'm changing mentally. I just had a nightmare before I woke up in Zecora's hut."

"What was this nightmare about?" I asked. She then let go, and just sat on her bed.

"It started out okay," Alex said. "I was... well, I started off as a boy in my dream. I was in a paintball field, playing with the boys from the orphanage I was from. I was about to win in, but when I went around one corner, I found myself in a castle bedroom. As a human girl. As a princess. I tried to get myself outta there, but I ended up in a ball room with human versions of all the girls in my class dancing with the boys from the orphanage. And... I was dancing with Danny. I didn't want to, but something was making me do it. And then, I was about to kiss him, but then I woke up."

"That's awful!" I said. "You're suffering, even in your dreams." I hugged her tightly. "You shouldn't be suffering like this. I'll do whatever it takes to help you through this."

She then hugged me and sobbed into my chest. I pulled her in, and I let her cry. And now, I remembered that she was an orphan. I then thought of something, but I would like to know if Alex is okay with it.

"Alex," I said, "I know you might not being a girl, but I wanna help you out through this. Even... even if I do it... as your mother."

Alex then looked up at me. Her mouth was quivering, and then asked, "You really want to be my mom?"

"Only if you let me," I told her.

She then smiled up at me, and then jumped on me, and said, "I would love you as my mom. Thank you."

"You're welcome," I told her. "Tomorrow, we'll go to Canterlot and get the papers signed."

"Well, at least the schoolhouse is closed for a week for the termite problem," I said.

"Exactly," said Pinkie Pie. "We'll leave in the morning."

She then nuzzled her head into my body. I then let her stay with me for the rest of the day. She'll be alright, if she doesn't go all the way girly before the three months are over.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

Well, I adopted Alex. She was happy about me becoming her mother. So I decided to help get her things that might keep her from becoming more of a girl. We went to a toy store to get her some things that boys would enjoy, but I saw her slipping into the way a girl acts, and see her put some girly dolls in. I then grabbed her and she shook her head and saw what she put into the cart. She was shaking her head at what she did.

It's been at least two months after I adopted her. But, all the time, it's been harder for her to fight that urge. I saw her playing dress up with Pumpkin, playing with dolls some other fillies, even getting into Mrs. Cake's makeup on her own. She realized what she was doing ten minutes after she was doing it, and just ran away from it. She was getting really scared of what was going on.

"It's okay, Alex," I told her. "We're trying our best to help you."

"I... I'm having a hard time fighting it," Alex said. "I don't know what to do. I just have the need to do all of this, and I can't do anything to stop it myself. I'm scared, Mom!"

"I know, I know," I told her. "We're doing whatever it takes to find a way to stop it. Twilight, Princess Celestia, Zecora, Solar Eclipse... they're all looking all over for ways to help you."

She then hugged me, and started crying. She was sobbing as she said, "I... I can't... fight... this... urge. I don't... want to... think... these... thoughts."

"There, there," I said, patting her back. "I'll help you through this. Let's take you someplace where it stirs up some boyish thoughts into you."

Then Rainbow Dash came up to me and said, "Hey, Pinkie Pie! I just got some tickets to see the Mystery Mare fight Iron Hock tomorrow night in Manehattan!"

I then went wide eyed and said, "That's perfect! Dashie, Alex is starting to lose the urge to fight those girl thoughts!"

"Well, it's a good thing I got four tickets," said Dashie. "Let's get on the train to Manehattan tomorrow, and we'll see the show. This is gonna be so awesome!" Luckily, today was Friday, and Alex and Danny didn't have school tomorrow. Then we got prepared to go to Manehattan tomorrow.

Today, we arrived in Manehattan, and dropped our stuff at the hotel we checked into. We then decided to do things across Manehattan to keep ourselves busy until that match tonight. We walked into a toy store. We came came inside to see a lot of boy things that Alex would like. Let's just hope we can keep her out of the girl section and not let the girl side of her take over.

We walked into the action figure section of the store to see if Alex would be able to fight those habits she doesn't want. When we saw something that Alex might want, we turned to look at her, only to find out she wasn't there.

"Uh oh," said Dashie, Danny and I in unison. We then ran out of that isle, and looked from that spot to find Alex. Then I spotted her heading for an isle that was full of girl things.

"Alex, wait!" I shouted, seeing her. I then grabbed her before she could go into it. "Alex, did you know what you were doing?"

She then realized what she was doing, hugged me tight and said, "I... I couldn't help myself! Stupid girl thoughts! It's like I have the need to do girl things, and I just can't help but do it."

"I know, Alex," I told her. "I know. We just need to keep you away from girly things."

We then went back to the isle where all the boy things were. It was getting harder and harder for Alex to stay out of girly things. She is having trouble trying to stay away from the girly things. We eventually made it through the day, and the wrestling match was going to start in half an hour.

"Alright, guys," said Rainbow Dash. "We gotta get to that wrestling match."

"Okay!" said Alex, Danny and I.

"Alright, so the wrestling match is just across the street from this mall," said Danny. "What's the quickest route out of here."

"I can help you with that," came a voice. We looked over and saw a brown, earth pony filly with a short, red and pink mane and tail.

"Babs Seed?" asked Danny.

"How do you know who she is?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"She's the cousin Apple Bloom," said Danny.

"Oh, that makes sense," said Rainbow Dash. "Nice to meet you, Babs Seed. So, you know the fastest route to the wrestling match?"

"I sure do," said Babs Seed. "In fact, I just got one ticket there, and my sister don't want me going unless I know somepony that's going there tonight as well. But when I saw you, and if I could get permission from ya, I could go."

"Sure, kid," said Rainbow Dash. "You can come. Let me see your ticket." Babs Seed then handed Dashie her ticket and said, "Hey! This is right in the same row as us! And it's right next to us!"

"Okie dokie!" I said. "So, where can we get out of here?"

"My sister is in the same store where the exit is," said Babs Seed. "Right in there." She pointed towards a store. It wasn't just a store. It was a boutique full of girly things. We then looked at Alex, and she was trembling. Babs Seed then asked, "What's wrong with her?"

"I'll explain it to you on the way," said Danny. We then went through the store. And to make it easy for Alex, I had to keep her in one of my forelegs, trying to keep her from going over to them. Danny was explaining to Babs Seed what Alex was going through.

"Seriously?" asked Babs Seed.

"Yeah," said Danny. "And she's not going to last long. We're just trying to help her through what's left of her boy mind before it's fully girly."

"I understand," said Babs Seed. "Let's just hope this will do the trick."

We eventually found Babs Seed's sister, and she allowed us to take her to the wrestling match. We then went in. Luckily, we got seats in the front row.

"These are great seats!" said Rainbow Dash. "I still can't believe we got front row seats!"

"Yeah!" I said. "Let's hope that this will help Alex!"

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" came the announcer's voice through the sound system. "Put your hooves together for one of the greatest fights in the PWL. Our first wrestler... the never been defeated mare of the league... The Mystery Mare!" We cheered for the Mystery Mare. She was basically the best in the Pony Wrestling League.

I looked at Danny and Alex, and they looked confused. I then asked, "What's wrong, you two?"

"Is it just me, or does the Mystery Mare kinda look familiar?" Alex asked.

"It ain't just you," said Danny. "She kinda does look familiar."

"And now! We introduce the Mystery Mare's biggest rival!" said the announcer. "The blue mistress of darkness, we have... Iron Hock!"

The crowd started booing Iron Hock. I looked over to where they were Alex was. She was a little unsure of herself. I think it has something to do with her female side of the mind taking over. I then grabbed her and said, "Are you okay?"

"I... I don't know," said Alex. "I love watching some wrestling. I mean, our orphanage forbid us from watching it, but when our cook started wrestling to get some money for delicious food, they knew that he was wrestling for the money to give us some good food."

"Well, that's nice," I said.

"But now," Alex said, "it's like I don't like it anymore."

"It must be the female side of you taking over," said Rainbow Dash. "We can't let her leave until the match is over."

"I won't let her leave until the match is over," I said to Dash. Then the sound of the bell went off, and the match started. We all watched the match as it went down.

The match went fantastic. We looked at Alex, and she was smiling. I think this match had gotten her back to her male side of the mind.

"That... was... amazing!" said Alex.

"It worked," said Pinkie Pie. "She's less female now."

"For now," said Dash. "It won't matter once she reaches three months of being here. After that, she'll be girl minded forever, and her male thoughts would be nothing but a memory."

"Now, fillies and gentlecolts," said the announcer, "we have one last surprise for you. Pull out your tickets, because there will be a special surprise for three guests in the audience. The winners will get to meet the Mystery Mare. Get ready." We all looked at our tickets, including Alex, and we waited for the announcer to call out the numbers. "Section 120."

"That's our section," said Dash.

"Row Triple A," said the announcer.

"That's our row!" said Pinkie Pie.

"Now this is interesting," said the announcer. "All three of the winners are sitting right besides each other. Seats 8, 9 and 10"

We looked towards the others, and saw that they had the winning tickets. They all raised their tickets, letting everypony know that they won the contest. I was happy for them. They're going to meet the Mystery Mare.

"You three go on," I said. "We'll wait by the West entry way."

(Alex's Point of View)

At first, I wasn't sure that the wrestling match would help me. I could feel the sweat of both the fighters get into my face, which I found disgusting. It was when the Mystery Mare started winning, which was making me get back to my male side. I was starting to enjoy it.

And when Danny, Babs Seed and I won the contest, I couldn't contain myself. I think I'm finally pushing down the female side of my brain. We were taken into the locker room, and were introduced to the Mystery Mare.

"Hello, there kids," said the Mystery Mare. "You three sure must be some wrestling loving foals."

"Mystery Mare," said Danny, "it's an honor to finally meet you. Now that we got a closer look at you, I think we might have met before."

"Really?" asked the Mystery Mare. "I don't remember running into you. Where are you from?"

"Well," Danny said, putting a hoof on my back. I could feel my face blushing. I think I'm having feelings for Danny. "Alex here and I resident in Ponyville."

"Ponyville?" asked Mystery Mare. "Oh, wait a minute. I know what you're talking about. Come with me."

Then the Mystery Mare led us to her locker area. Then she grabbed a folded up photo and handed it to us.

"Perhaps this will let you think of who I remind you of," said the Mystery Mare. "I'm the filly on the right."

Danny then opened the photo, and both he and I were shocked. Inside the photo were two fillies that looked near identical. Both of them had some kind of dark magenta coat, and a mane of two coats of grayish pink. We recognized the pony on the left by her Cutie Mark. That filly was Miss Cheerilee.

"Miss Cheerilee?!" Danny and I asked in unison.

"Who?" asked Babs Seed.

"She's out teacher in Ponyville," I said. "Wait a minute. Are you...?" I looked up at the Mystery Mare and she nodded.

"I happen to be twin sisters with Cheerilee," said Mystery Mare. "My name is really Cherry Blossom. Now, I want you three to keep this a secret. Tell nopony."

"Okay," said Danny and I. She then handed the three of us some autographed pictures of one of her previous matches. In the photo, she was about to body slam somepony, which looked awesome. This might have been a good idea by mom.

This was the best trip I have ever had, even before I arrived here. But, I might as well say goodbye to my male self before Tuesday morning. I can't stop this. No way out of this. I might as well get my boy stuff locked up and never play again. I'm gonna miss acting like a boy. Who knows what I'm going to do when I'm done with my mental change?

(Alex's Point of View)

Dream World...

I had to be dreaming. Because this time I was in a wedding, and I was to be married with Danny. I couldn't do anything to stop it. We just finished our vows, and we were about to kiss. I had to get out of this dream. Wake up. WAKE UP!

Real World...

I just woke up from that awful dream. It was midnight on Tuesday. Which means I had one week left until I was going to lose my boy mind for good. I was upset about this, so I decided to go out for a nightly walk.

I quietly got out of my bed, and opened the chest containing all of my male things. It sucks not being able to play with them when I'm fully female. I don't think I'll care about them when I'm mentally female. It then closed it up, and headed outside of Sugarcube Corner, through the back door. I was upset that I wouldn't be thinking male things again.

"This is it," I said. "I'm gonna be forced to do girl things for the rest of my life, and I can't do anything to stop it." I then shed some tears. In one week, it's goodbye Alexander, hello Alexia, forever. Without noticing, I bumped into somepony. "Oof. Oh, sorry." But then I saw who I bumped into. It was Zecora. "Zecora? What are you doing here?"

"I have something for you. Do not mope," said Zecora. "This thing might give you one last chance of hope." She then handed me something. I grabbed it and looked at it.

"What is this?" I asked.

"It is a map to something you might need kind," said Zecora. "It's a map to the Temple of the Split Minds."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"The temple said to have you're starting to lose far," said Zecora. "The treasure inside is said to help you find out who you really are."

"You mean..." I said. "If I go into this temple and get the treasure, whatever it is will help me keep my male self forever?"

"I do. And you should hurry," said Zecora. "This treasure will set you away from worry. Once touched, and like a lightning bolt, you shall be from a frilly filly to a tomcolt."

I then looked at the map, and smiled. This might be my only chance for me to be able to think boy thoughts again. Should I tell the other ponies, or maybe go at this by myself? I thought about this hard, but if it's going to effect the pony who's touching in, than I have to go. And I shouldn't let anypony else go get it for me, because it might be too late.

I walked back inside, and on my way back, I heard a young voice.

"Alex?" I turned around and saw Pumpkin Cake.

I smiled at her and said, "It's okay, Pumpkin. I was just getting some fresh air." I then walked over to her, and asked, "How about you go back to bed? You shouldn't be up this late."

I then grabbed her by her scruff. Still getting used to this. I then put her back into her crib, and then I tucked her in. I don't know if it's the female in me or not, but she really is a cute filly.

I then decided to go back to my room when Pumpkin fell asleep. I decided to pack some stuff before I left on this journey I had to go on. I decided to leave for this place after school ends. I packed a sleeping bag, a flashlight, a first aid kit, some bug repellent, and the map of where I needed to go. I had to keep this a secret so nopony would be able to find out.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

It was Wednesday. Today was the last day of school for Alex. Gummy and I were going to bake her a special cake for finishing the last day of school. She was going to be happy. Although, it might be a lot different for her once she finally starts thinking like she's female 24/7. But then, I was interrupted by the doors swinging open. I saw Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Danny come into the kitchen area.

"Oh, hey you four," I said to them. "What brings you here?"

"Pinkie, you haven't seen Alex, have you?" Danny asked.

"Not since this morning," I said. "Why?"

"She came to school this morning," said Apple Bloom, "but when we tried talking to her, she just vanished."

"We looked all over Ponyville trying to find her," said Sweetie Belle.

"But there's no sign of her," said Scootaloo.

"WHAT?!" I asked. "Where could she be?!" I then put the whisk I was using into Gummy's mouth and said, "Gummy, you keep whisking the batter. I'll be right back." Then me, Danny and the three fillies ran out of Sugarcube Corner, searching for Alex. Again.

We searched hours for Alex, and there was no sign of her. I couldn't believe that she was gone. She had to be here in Ponyville somewhere. We even had my five closest friends join in on the search. We searched high and low for Alex, and we couldn't find her. We all met up at Sugarcube Corner.

"Sorry, Pinkie," Twilight said. "We searched everywhere in Ponyville. We even checked the Everfree Forest. There's no sign of Alex anywhere."

I then started crying, and asked out loud, "What did I do wrong?! She shouldn't have done this without telling me! I'm so worried about her!" I felt the others group hug me.

"Don't worry, Pinkie," said Rarity. "We will find her."

"I just don't understand," said Fluttershy. "Why would she run away if she was happy being here? Except for the fact she is being more female by the day."

"That is a good point," said Rainbow Dash. "Perhaps she has a reason to go off somewhere."

"But what?" asked Applejack. "And why would she just go off somewhere without tellin' us?"

Then the bell over the door jingled, and in came Spike. He then said, "There you are, Twilight. I was wondering where you've been off to."

"Sorry, Spike," Twilight said. "But we've been all over Ponyville, looking for Alex. We couldn't find her all day."

"Huh?" Spike said. "That's odd. I swore I could've seen her get on a train."

"WHAT?!" I then shouted.

"Wait. Pinkie?!" Spike asked. "I thought that you and Alex were heading off somewhere together. But..."

Then we all ran out of Sugarcube Corner, and headed off to the train station. Luckily, we saw the pony who sells tickets leaving the place.

"Excuse me!" shouted Twilight.

The ticket seller saw us coming and said, "Oh, Princess Twilight. And others. What brings you here this late? The Train Station won't be open until tomorrow."

"Sir, we're looking for a missing filly," said Twilight. "Pink coat, long brown mane and tail, red hair bow with purple outlines. Any of this ringing a bell?"

"Come to think of it," said the ticket seller, "I did see that filly around here earlier this afternoon. She bought a ticket to Galloping Gorge."

"Galloping Gorge?!" asked Rainbow Dash. "What would Alex be doing if she wanted to go there?!"

"Whatever it is, we're going after her," said Twilight. "Tomorrow, we're all going there to find her."

"For Alex!" said Apple Bloom, with Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Danny putting their hands in.

"Oh, no you don't," said Twilight. "We're not letting four young foals come with us on a dangerous mission."

"But, Twilight!" said Danny. "Alex is our friend, too. She needs some help from her closest friends as well."

"And we wouldn't let her do something on her own," said Scootaloo. "If you're going, then we're going, too."

Then we all looked at each other. Then Twilight said, "Wow. You all would do anything to make sure Alex is safe. Alright. You all can come. But Scootaloo, you might want to get permission from your family as well."

"Got it," said Scootaloo.

Then we all went to our homes. I just don't understand why Alex would go off to Galloping Gorge all by herself. We have to find her tomorrow. I just hope that nothing bad has happened to her.

(Alex's Point of View)

I was really tired. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea coming here all by myself.

I thought to myself, "I'm pretty sure that I made a huge mistake. Camping isn't really for a girl like me. It's full of creepy bugs and no sign of any hotels for me to play with my dolls that I forgot to pack." Then I realized what I just thought, and shook those thoughts out of my head. "No! I am not a girl, mentally! Stop it! I don't want to be a girl mentally! So stop making me think girly things!"

My condition is getting worse and worse. I had to get that treasure before I become a girl fully. I got out my sleeping bag and was about to roll it out until I heard somepony.

"Hey! Who are you? And what are you doing here?"

I turned around and saw a mare. She has a golden coat, was wearing a purple cloak, a gray hat, with a white fabric with a white bow, and red framed glasses.

"Oh," I said. "I'm sorry. I didn't know this was your property. I'll find some other place to camp out."

"No, this isn't my property," said the mare. "I was just going to warn you that you shouldn't be outside here on by this time at night, or else the tigers would eat you."

"Tigers?!" I asked. I then grabbed my stuff and asked, "Any idea where I could sleep for the night."

"Come with me," said the mare. She helped me get my stuff into my saddlebags, and then we headed somewhere. She led me to what looks like the house of the seven dwarfs from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

She then led me inside, and inside were a lot of books and maps. I wonder what she was doing in here.

"Um, Miss?" I asked.

"Oh, right," said the mare. "Introductions. Well, my name is A.K. Yearling. I'm actually a book writer."

"A.K. Yearling?" I asked. "Wait a minute, as in the writer of Daring Do?"

"Yep," said A.K. Yearling. "Have you read any of my books?"

"Yeah," I said. "But, they were all library books, so I have no ownership of them."

"So, what brings you out here?" she asked.

"Well..." I started. "I have a bit of a problem." I then pulled a map out of my saddlebags. "It all started when I was a human boy."

"Wait, wait, wait," said A.K. Yearling. "You used to be one of those human creatures? And you used to be in the opposite gender? How did you end up like this?"

"I almost died," I told her. "Somepony used magic on me to save my life, but he accidentally changed my gender. And now, my mind is becoming one of a girls, and I got less than a week before I lose my boy thoughts forever."

"Wait a minute," said A.K. Yearling. "Are you searching for the Temple of the Split Minds?!"

"How do you know about that?" I asked.

"I've been looking for that temple for years, and only one map was made," said A.K. Yearling.

"What are you talking about?" I asked. She then looked towards me.

"I haven't told you what else I do," said A.K. Yearling. "I do more than just write books about a certain adventurer." She then removed her cloak, hat and glasses, and underneath was a green adventurer's shirt, and a pith helmet. I then recognized her. "I'm also the one who does those adventures."

"You're... you're... Daring Do?!" I asked, shocked.

"Yep," she said. "Do you have the map?"

I then grabbed the map out of my saddlebags, and handed it to her. She took it, and unrolled it. She then looked at the map and smiled. "If I'm reading this correctly, this map is in the darkest part of the forest by the gorge. We'll head out tomorrow. And if we're lucky, we'll be able to get to that treasure before your mind goes all female. You would rather be a tomcolt than a prissy filly, and if you're upset about being female in body and mind, I'll do whatever it takes to help you."

I smiled and nodded.

"How long do you have until you mind goes... you know," Daring Do asked.

"I have until Tuesday," I said. "I really need help. This is my only chance."

"Okay," said Daring Do. "Tomorrow, we have five days to get to that treasure before your mind is fully female. Let's get to bed. We'll start the adventure in the morning."

She escorted me to a guest bedroom she had. There was no bed, but there was a hammock. She then put me into it.

"So, do you have any family?" Daring Do asked me.

"Well, I was adopted about two weeks after I arrived here," I told her. "By a mare named Pinkie Pie."

"Pinkie Pie?" asked Daring Do. "As in one of the six Elements of Harmony bearers?"

"You know her?" I asked.

"I've met all six of them months ago," said Daring Do. "Although, her friend Rainbow Dash is a major fan girl about my style, and when she saw me, she was freaking out like a fan girl." She then chuckled. "Although, she did help me get my next book done."

"Wait a minute," I said. "Daring Do and the Ring of Destiny?"

"Yep," said Daring Do. "That was it."

"Y'know," I said. "Now that I got a good look at you, you and Rainbow Dash look like identical twins. The only thing that's different are your colors."

She then laughed and said, "Oh, yeah. I guess that's true. If we're in a dark room together, and if someone tries to attack me, they would think that she's me and attack her instead."

I then yawned. I felt sleepy, but I didn't want to dream of girly things.

"You can sleep if you want to," said Daring Do. "I'll wake you up in the morning."

"But, I'm kinda scared that I'll dream of something very girly, and I wouldn't be able to stop it," I said. "I just... need... to..."

I was getting tired, and I could've sworn that Daring Do was rocking the hammock like a baby crib. I couldn't help myself. It was making me more sleepy. But then I fell asleep.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

We all got on a train that leads to Galloping Gorge. Applejack thought it might help if we brought Winona to help follow Alex's scent. That was actually a smart idea, since dogs can follow the scent of anypony.

We then came across a house, but this wasn't just any house. It was the house of A.K. Yearling, also known as Daring Do.

"Winona, are ya sure this is where Alex is?" asked Applejack.

Winona barked and Fluttershy said, "She says that this is where her scent leads."

"But who's house is this?" asked Apple Bloom.

"Actually," said Twilight. She then giggled nervously. "This wasn't the first time the six of us been to this place."

"It wasn't?" asked the three fillies and Danny.

"This place... is the house of A.K. Yearling," said Rainbow Dash.

"A.K. Yearling?!" asked Danny. "As in the author of the Daring Do series?"

"Yes," said Twilight. "This is where she lives." Then Twilight walked over to the door, and knocked. "Miss Yearling! Are you in?! We need to speak with you about something!"

The door slowly opened, making a creaking noise. Then we all walked in, and saw that the house was organized. And there was nopony here.

"Perhaps she's doing some book signing somewhere," said Danny.

"Actually," said Rainbow Dash. "Remember that day when we said we were going to see if we could help A.K. Yearling write her next book?"

"Yeah," said Danny. "Why?"

"Well," said Rainbow Dash.

"The events of each story... really happened," I said, then chuckled nervously while I was rubbing the back of my head.

"What?!" asked the CMC and Danny.

"Are you saying that the story was based on true events?!" asked Danny.

"Down to the wire," said Rainbow Dash. "And A.K. Yearling..."

"Is the main character of the story," Rarity finished for Dashie.

"What?!" asked the four foals.

"Then, where is she?" asked Scootaloo. "And where's Alex?"

"Hey, everypony!" said Applejack. "Take a look at this!"

Then we all walked to where Applejack was and saw a typewriter. There was a single piece of paper with the title, "Daring Do and the Temple of the Split Minds."

"Temple of the Split Minds?" asked Twilight. "What has Alex gotten herself into?" Then she looked at an open page of places that Daring Do has discovered, and what hasn't. The ones that she has discovered are crossed off on the places where they weren't discovered. Then Twilight opened a book that has been bookmarked and then Twilight read out loud, "The legend of the Temple of the Split Minds goes back centuries. There have been other worldly creatures accidentally sent to this world, with their minds changing, making them forget about their previous life, or, if they have their genders swapped, not have their habits of being their original genders anymore. Many of them have tried finding the temple, but all were too late because they didn't have the map. Some say that the map was lost in the land of the zebra kind. Legend says that one zebra will come to Equestria, and help a struggling soul get his/her mind consciousness back to normal before he/she is lost."

"You don't think that zebra is Zecora, do you?" asked Apple Bloom.

"That... actually makes sense," said Twilight. "She must've had the map. She must've given it to Alex to help her."

"And she must've come here to search for the temple, but she needs an archaeologist to help," said Rainbow Dash. "Daring Do must've came across her, and decided to help Alex to find the temple before it's too late."

"But that leaves one question," said Sweetie Belle. "Where are they?"

"Winona," Applejack. "Find Alex. And use her newest scent."

Winona barked, and started smelling around for Alex. They came up the stairs, and walked into one room, and then went over to a hammock. Winona smelled it, and then she led us out the house. We continued following her.

"I just hope that Alex isn't in any danger," I said. "She needs all the help she can get."

(Alex's Point of View)

Daring Do and I just went through a huge area of snakes. Daring Do and I got out of there to a field.

"Well, that wasn't so bad," said Daring Do. "We're just lucky those snakes weren't poisonous. How are you doing, kid?"

"Ew ew ew ew ew! Snakes are so slimy!" I said. Then I went wide eyed and shook my head. "Oh, no! Not that, too! I used to love snakes! Now, I'm finding them slimy and disgusting!"

"Don't worry, kid," said Daring Do. "We'll get to that temple and get your mind fixed in no time." She then started walking towards somewhere, reading the map. I followed her.

Ten minutes of walking later, we were almost there. We then came across a swamp. I usually found swamps like this fun to play with, but now...

"Oh, gross!" I said, uncontrollably. "I hate swampy places! They're so gross and smelly!" Then I went wide-eyed. "NO!! I used to love swampy areas! I... I can't stand this. My mind is going under." I then started crying. Then I felt Daring Do hug me, and I looked up at her.

"Everything's going to be okay, kid," said Daring Do. "I'll get you through this." She then picked me up and started flapping her wings, and we flew across the swamp. The smell of this place was really smelly, and was revolting. Well, I would've put this smell into a stink bomb. I would find that amusing, but because of these stupid girl thoughts, I'm starting to think of something like that would be stupid for me to think of.

We made it across the swamp. But then I heard something. I looked towards the sound where the sound was coming from. I then said, "Miss Do, I think I heard something."

When we got across the mucky swamp, she turned to face towards where I heard the noise. She then said, "It's probably just a fox. Don't worry. They're more afraid of us than we are of them."

"Okay," I said. "I think I'm starting to lose it. I'm starting to lose my interest in foxes. They used to be my favorite animal. But now... I'm starting to think they aren't so cool. I don't even know what's cool anymore. I'm starting to think... nothing but... girly things. I don't want this! I want my normal life back! My mind is slipping from boy to girl thoughts!"

"It's going to be okay, kid," said Daring Do. "We'll get you to that temple, and get you to the treasure so you'll be able to think normal thoughts again."

I started sniffing. I couldn't think of anything boys would do. Nothing. I'm slipping. I think my mind is starting to forget about my thoughts on being a boy. My old interests are replaced with girl interests. Makeup, dressing up, girly magazines, ballet, dreams of being a princess, playing with dolls. It's all I can think of. I want my life back!

We then came across the temple. When we go inside, I'm finally going to think boy things again when I get to that treasure. We walked in and saw a bunch of things you'd find in old temples. I even saw some spiders. But now I don't remember if I liked spiders or not. But right now, I'm afraid of spiders.

"Gross," I said out loud. "Spiders!"

"Spiders?" asked Daring Do. Then she started shivering. "Okay, listen kid, I'm freaked out by spiders as well. Let's just get more into the temple, and get to that treasure."

"Or," came another voice. "You can just stop right there and have us take the treasure." We turned around and saw four Earth Ponies. One was brown with a five o'clock shadow, was wearing a white, barely gray shirt, and has a red ascot with white polka dots. And his Cutie Mark was a golden skull with one eye hole red and the other one mustard yellow. "The treasure is ours. Thank you for leading us to the treasure."

"Caballeron!" said Daring Do.

"Your arch nemesis in treasure finding I'm guessing?" I asked.

"Yeah," said Daring Do. "We're not letting you take the treasure! This filly's mind is at stake!"

"Yeah, right," said Caballeron. "Nice story. But you're not going to take away my chances of being rich. Get them!"

Then his goons charged at us. We were tackled, and then we were tied up. Then they took us over a suspension bridge, and tied us over the edge.

"See you later when we get rich," said Caballeron. They then headed back to the temple.

"I won't let you take that treasure away!" said Daring Do. I then started crying. "Don't worry kid. We'll get that treasure before Caballeron and his goons get it."

"It's not that," I said, crying. "It's that I'm never going to think what I usually think of again. The old me is nearly gone."

"Oh, you poor thing," said Daring Do. "You shouldn't have to suffer like this. I won't let this happen."

I was still crying. There was nothing left for me to do. My male thoughts were nothing but a nearly forgotten memory. I don't have a way to get my male thoughts back anymore. I was starting to go from Alexander to Alexia in just moments. In fact, I can't remember all of the things I did as a boy. I was doomed.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

We followed Winona to an old temple. We saw four male Earth Ponies heading in.

"Who is that?" asked Danny.

"Dr. Caballeron," said Rainbow Dash. "He's Daring Do's arch nemesis in the archaeological world."

"Now that we gotten rid of Daring Do and her pesky little friend," we over heard Dr. Caballeron say, "the hidden treasure of this temple will be ours!" We all gasped at what he just said. "Now, let's go inside and get that treasure! We are going to be so rich!"

They headed inside.

"We gotta do something!" said Apple Bloom. "What do we do?"

"Alright," said Twilight. "Pinkie, Dash, Fluttershy, you three go find Alex and Daring Do."

"What about us?" asked Apple Bloom. "What can we do?"

"You kids stay here and lookout while the rest of us go into the temple, and see what Caballeron is stealing," said Twilight.

"Aww," said Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Danny.

"Let's go," said Twilight. She, Rarity and Applejack headed into the temple, while Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Winona and I went to find Daring Do and Alex.

We followed Winona to where Alex's scent was. But then I heard something.

"Wait!" I said.

"What is it, Pinkie?" asked Rainbow Dash.

"Is something the matter?" asked Fluttershy.

"Listen," I said. I could tell that my friends heard something. It was the sound of a foal crying. I knew that voice. It was Alex. "It's Alex!"

Then we ran towards the sound, and then we saw a suspension bridge with Daring Do and Alex tied up below it.

"ALEX!!" I shouted. They then turned their heads towards us.

"MOM!" Alex shouted.

"Hang on, you two," said Rainbow Dash. "We're coming!" Then Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy started flying, and then they grabbed Alex and Daring Do, untying them from the suspension bridge, and taking them towards me and Winona. Then we untied them. I then grabbed Alex and hugged her tightly.

"I was so worried about you, Alex!" I said, crying. "Don't ever do that again without letting me know!"

"But I don't think you would've let me go if I did," Alex said. "This is my only chance of getting my mind back to normal. I can't give up on this."

We then went to look over where the temple was. We then said, "Well, if this is your only chance, then we're going to help you."

"Yeah," said Rainbow Dash. "If you don't want those girl thoughts overtaking your boy thoughts, then we aren't going to stop until you're back to normal."

"R-really?" asked Alex.

"Yes," I said. "Now, let's go fix your mind before it goes completely broke."

Then I grabbed her by her scruff, and we all went back to the temple. Daring Do then said, "You all want this for the kid, don'tcha?"

"She used to be a boy, and those memories are a part of who she is," said Rainbow Dash. "I wouldn't know what to do if my memories were replaced by something like that."

"I understand," said Daring Do. "Now, let's get in there."

We went in and saw the others being cornered by Caballeron and his gang.

"You all thought that you could stop me and my boys from getting rich?!" asked Caballeron. "I'm not going to stop until I have that treasure!"

"Not if we have something to do with it!" said Daring Do. We then rushed over and helped our friends. And I could've sworn that the other kids came in to join in the fight.

"They brought fillies to a fight?!" asked Dr. Caballeron. "You've got to be kidding me! Get them!"

Then the henchponies were about to get the kids, but Twilight and the others took them down. Applejack used her lasso and tied them up.

"Nopony messes with mah little sis and her friends," said Applejack. Then she and Rarity grabbed Caballeron and pinned him to the wall.

"Pinkie," said Twilight. "Take Alex, Rainbow Dash, Daring Do and Danny towards where the treasure is. Whatever it is."

I then nodded, and the five of us went towards where the treasure was.

(Alex's Point of View)

We walked through the temple, searching everywhere for whatever this treasure was. We finally found out some weird room. To me, it was spooky. The boy me would've thought it was cool, but because of these stupid girl thoughts, I was creeped out.

"Maybe I should've just stayed home and played dress up with Pumpkin Cake," I thought to myself. Then I just heard my thoughts and shook my head. "NO! I can't think like that! I must think hard of what I usually enjoy when I was a boy! Think!" I tried really hard to think of something to do when I was a boy. I... couldn't think of anything.

Rainbow Dash saw me and asked, "Are you alright, Alex?"

They all stopped to look at me and I said, "I... I can't think of anything fun things I like to do as a boy. These stupid girl thoughts are taking over."

Mom gasped and said, "We're running out of time!" She then grabbed me and we all headed into the room.

"I thought we had until Tuesday for her mind to go under," said Daring Do.

"It might be speeding up," said Danny. "She's losing it."

Then we stopped at what looks like a huge pony's head made of stone. And it's eyes are two flames of different colors. One flame being green and the other one being pink.

"HALT!" said a strange voice. It sounded like the voice was both male and female. "WHO DARES ENTER MY TEMPLE?!"

Daring Do stepped up to the head and said, "Listen. We're not here for any trouble. But our young friends is losing her mind. She used to be a human boy and she got sent here, and her mind is starting to slip from the mind of a male to a female."

"I SEE," said the voice. "SEND FORWARD THIS FILLY, AND I SHALL SEE INTO THIS YOUNG ONE'S SOUL."

Then Mom pushed me forward. I was really scared. Not just of losing my mind, but this huge statue. Once mom finished pushing me, two lights came from the statue. One green and one pink. I then tried to run away, but I couldn't move.

"Hey!" I shouted. "What's going on?! I can't move!"

"DO NOT BE AFRAID, YOUNG ONE," said the voice. "I AM CHECKING YOUR SOUL." It took about ten seconds for it to see into my soul before he responded. "I HAVE SEEN YOUR SOUL. IT WOULD SEEM THAT YOUR MIND IS BEING REPLACED WITH NOTHING BUT GIRL THOUGHTS, MAKING YOU MENTALLY FEMALE. AND IT SEEMS THAT GIRL INSTINCTS ARE NEARLY COMPLETELY FILLED."

"What?!" I asked. "Is there anyway for it to be stopped?!"

"I DO HAVE ONE SOLUTION," said the voice. "BUT I WOULD NEED YOUR PERMISSION TO DO IT FIRST."

"And that solution is?!" asked Mom.

"FOR HER TO HAVE HER MALE MIND TO BE BACK IN HER MIND," said the voice, "SHE WILL HAVE TO HAVE A SPLIT MIND. AND BY HER CHOOSING, SHE WILL DECIDE WHETHER TO DO GIRL OR BOY THINGS. I HAVE SEEN THAT, EVEN AS A BOY, SHE HUNG OUT WITH GIRLS A FEW TIMES."

"I... I guess I did hang out with Martha and her friends sometimes," I said. "But that was when I got separated from the others at the amusement park. And I they liked doing things that boys do. And I guess I did do somethings with the girls that they liked to do."

"WHAT IS YOUR DECISION, YOUNG ONE?" asked the voice.

I thought about it. "Should I do this? I'm not so sure. I was starting to lose my sanity and lost my old interests. But if I do do this, I'll be able to do boy things again by choice, but it also means that I also can choose to do girl things. I might be a tomcolt that can choose to do girl things, but only if I can hang out with girls that might be okay to hang out with." I then looked back at Mom, Rainbow Dash, Daring Do and Danny. They were smiling. It was my choice. Then I looked back up at the stone face and said, "I'll do it."

"THEN YOU SHALL BE DUAL MINDED," said the voice. "NOW, YOU'LL FEEL A LOT OF ENERGY SURROUNDING YOU. WHEN YOU WAKE UP, YOU'LL BE BACK TO THINKING BOY THOUGHTS. NOW, HOLD STILL."

Then a lot of green and pink energy started surrounding me. It was stinging me.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" I shouted.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

I knew that sound. It was a cry of pain. Alex was being hurt.

"Alex!" I shouted. I was about to grab her, but Daring Do and Rainbow Dash were holding me back. "Hey, let me go!"

"Sorry, Pinkie," said Rainbow Dash. "We got to let Alex do this on her own. It's her choice."

I was looking at Alex. But then all of the energy was absorbed into Alex when she was lifted off the ground. Then she fell and she was unconscious. Then we all ran over to her. I picked her up, and tried shaking her awake.

"Alex? Alex! Wake up!" I said. "Wake up, Alex, please?!" My mane then went straight, and I pulled her into a hug, and started crying onto her body.

"FOR BRINGING IN THIS FILLY TO SAVE HER MIND, YOU SHALL ALL BE REWARDED," said the voice. Then a huge door opened full of amulets and crowns. "EACH AMULET AND CROWN REPRESENTS ALL THE SOULS WHO LOST THEIR OLD LIFE TO THE LIFE THEY LIVED."

"There must be at least hundreds of lost souls," said Danny.

"EXACT AMOUNT, EIGHT HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SEVEN," said the voice. "YOU HAVE AVENGED ALL OF THE SOULS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR MINDS TO THE MIND OF THE OPPOSITE GENDER. AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT NO OTHER INNOCENT SOUL WILL LOSE THEIR MIND THE WAY THE OTHERS HAVE."

Then a huge burst of energy headed from this room, and then outside. But I didn't care. I was hugging Alex, staying with her until she wakes up.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

We arrived back home, but I was still worried about Alex. She hasn't woke up yet. I just hope she'll wake up. I just put her in her bed, and then I kissed her on the head. I then got in my own bed, and I headed into my bed.

The next day came, and I looked at her. She was still unconscious. I still had my mane straight. I was worried that Alex would never wake again. My friends and the Cutie Mark Crusaders come in to check on how we were doing, but I wasn't too sure that Alex would wake up again.

It was Tuesday. It makes it officially twelve weeks since Alex came here, and now I couldn't do anything but watch her sleep in her bed. Pound and Pumpkin came into the room, checking on Alex, hoping that she woke up.

"I'm sorry, you two," I told them. "Alex isn't awake yet." I was crying. "I'm not sure if she'll ever wake up again."

Then Pound and Pumpkin climbed up onto Alex's bed, and got on her sides. They laid down next to her, staying by her side. I guess I should let them stay with her. Maybe a quick walk around town should clear my head.

As I was about to leave, I saw Rarity come up to me.

"Oh, Pinkie, dear," said Rarity. "I was just coming to check on you. Are you alright?"

"I'm okay, Rarity," I said sadly. I was basically lying to her.

"You don't sound okay, darling," said Rarity. "How about you and I go to the spa. Perhaps you need a day for yourself. Having some relaxing."

"I... I guess that could work," I told her. "I just wish that Alex would be able to wake up. She has been put up, finding the urge to keep out the girl thoughts. Now, she's unconscious. I don't know if she'll ever wake up." I then started crying.

Rarity hugged me, and said, "There, there, Pinkie. I'm sure she'll wake up. You've been watching over that filly like the Applejack didn't think Apple Bloom wouldn't be able to take care of herself when she was left home alone."

I then remembered that. I giggled a little bit and I said, "I remember that. She accidentally made Apple Bloom make a mess when she surprised her."

"Now, let's go," said Rarity. "You are in need of a spa day."

Rarity then led me to the spa. I just hope that Alex would be able to be awake when I'm there.

(Third Person Point of View)

Pound and Pumpkin stayed in the room where Alex was asleep. They felt bad for her and stayed by her sides. Then they heard hoofsteps. They saw Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Danny walking in.

"We came here to check on Alex," said Danny. They all then came over to the bed. They all came to the side of the bed. Alex was unresponsive to the world around her. "It's been days since we got her home. I feel so helpless to see her like this. She's like Sleeping Beauty." The others looked at Danny in confusion. "It's an old movie back in my world."

"What was that story about?" asked Sweetie Belle.

"It's about this princess that has been cursed by a wicked fairy to sleep for 100 years after she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel on her sixteenth birthday," said Danny. "But one good fairy blessed her and made sure that the only way to wake the princess was a true love's kiss." He then looked at Alex's face and said, "I don't think I should. I mean, she used to be a he, and she would be freaking out."

"Ah guess that's true," said Apple Bloom. "And besides, she can choose whether to act like a boy or a girl now."

"Yeah," said Danny. He then sighed. "You know, Alex is the first human friend I've made ever since I came here. Even if she wasn't born a girl. She really is a good friend."

"She sure is a good friend to us all," said Scootaloo. "She sure did enjoy everything we did."

"Even if it was the female trying to take over," said Sweetie Belle, "it was kinda fun playing dress up with her."

"Whether she asked like a boy or girl, she's still our friend," said Apple Bloom. Then she put her hoof on Alex's chest. "She's the best of both worlds."

"Yeah," said the others.

Then the scent of something delicious came to their noses.

"Smells like Mrs. Cake is baking some cinnamon rolls again," said Apple Bloom.

Then Alex's eyes opened wide, and she sat up and said, "Sounds good, I'll have three."

"ALEX!" said Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Danny, Pound and Pumpkin.

(Alex's Point of View)

I just woke up when I heard Apple Bloom mention cinnamon rolls. I really loved homemade cinnamon rolls at the orphanage. But when I asked how long I was out for, I was told I was out for five days. I then got hugs from all six of them, and they were happy for me finally being awake.

"Alright, Alex," said Apple Bloom. "We need to test ya for somethin'."

"Okay," I said. "What?"

"Alex, what would you rather do?" Danny asked. "Have a paintball match with the WWE Wrestlers, or a sleepover with all the Disney Princesses?"

"Definitely paintball with the WWE Wrestlers," I said. Then I just realized what I just said. "Yes! I'm thinking boy thoughts again! I'm mentally back to normal!"

"Well, not all the way," said Sweetie Belle. "You still have the decision of choosing whether if you want to do things that boys do or what girls do."

"Oh, right," I said.

"Hey, is it true that you did girly stuff back when you were a human boy?" asked Danny.

"Yeah, I did," I said, rubbing the back of my head. "I had to do it. I was separated from my group. Plus, the girls there did something I thought was fun."

"Anyway," said Danny. "Now that you're back to your normal mental self, may I ask why your face turns red when I was near you?"

I then looked down, and then I said, "Well, ever since I discovered I was mentally changing, I felt... something. I think those girl thoughts were persuading me to have a crush... on you."

"What?" asked Danny. "Oh, boy."

"I feel a bit of it coming right on right now," I said. "Stupid split mind. That's the downside."

"Don't worry about it, Alex," said Sweetie Belle. "You can wait a while for that to happen. But for now, we're just glad you're awake."

"Wait," said Scootaloo. "Shouldn't somepony tell Pinkie that Alex is awake?"

"I'll go find her," said Sweetie Belle. "Besides. I saw Rarity taking Pinkie to the spa. I'll go get her. I'll also tell Mrs. Cake that Alex is awake, and to get her something to eat.

Then Sweetie Belle ran out of the room, heading towards the front of the sweet shop. I was glad I had some good friends by my side.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

Rarity and I just left the spa. I was still upset that Alex was still in a coma. The mud bath, the sauna, the hoof shining, and the Jacuzzi all were relaxing, but they didn't make me feel better knowing that my little Alex was still out cold. I just wish that she could be awake.

"Rarity! Pinkie Pie!" came Sweetie Belle's voice. We saw her running up to us with a huge grin on her face.

"Sweetie Belle?" asked Rarity. "Now, what has you feeling all up with excitement?"

"It's Alex!" said Sweetie Belle said. "She's awake!"

"What?!" Rarity and I surprisingly asked in unison. Then we all rushed towards Sugarcube Corner.

We went in, went up the stairs, and went into my room. There, we saw Alex, awake. She was eating a lot of food, which made sense since she was asleep since Thursday.

Alex then saw me, and said, "Hey, Mom."

Well, that's basically what just happened after she just said that. I then ran over to her and hugged her.

"I was so worried for you, Alex!" I said to her. "I never thought I would see you awake ever again!"

"I'm okay, Mom," said Alex. Then her stomach growled again.

"My goodness," said Rarity. "No wonder there's so much food in here. And since you haven't eaten in days, I guess you need to eat."

I then let go of her and let her eat until she's satisfied. Although, she was disgusting Rarity with the way she was eating.

Alex saw the way Rarity was looking at her, and said, "Sorry. I'm just really hungry."

"I guess I can't argue with the way you eat," said Rarity. "I'll go on and tell the others that you're up."

Alex nodded, and Rarity headed out. I then asked, "So, Alex. How would you like to do some things with me once every weekend?"

"Well," said Alex, "It's nothing too girly. Is it?"

"Well, you can now choose whether you want to do girly things or not," I told her. "How about one weekend, we do something boys like and the next we do something girls like? How does that sound?"

"Well..." said Alex. She then looked at her friends. They wanted her to have all the fun things she could have. Whether it's girly or not, they would support her. "I guess I'll give it a shot." Then she blew some hair out of her face. "But first, can I change my mane style? It keeps getting in the way of my eyes."

"Ya didn't have a problem with it months ago," said Apple Bloom.

"I was starting thinking girl thoughts!" said Alex. "I couldn't help it." But then she felt uncomfortable, and looked at towards her crotch area. "What's under my butt?" She then uncovered and saw... "A bedpan?"

"It was put there to keep you from wetting the bed," I said. "Once you did your business, I changed it out and wash out the first one."

"Okay," said Alex. "I understand, Mom." She then grabbed the cinnamon roll, and shoved it in her mouth.

"Maybe Rarity is right," I told her. "Maybe you should learn some things on how to eat." I then chuckled.

Alex swallowed and said, "I guess you're right." Then she looked at her mane and said, "Maybe I should just shorten my mane."

"I'll take you there tomorrow," I told her. Then I smelled her. "But how about now, we get you in the tub. You kinda smell."

Alex then smelled her pit, and regretted it. "Yeah, you're right." She then raised her forelegs and I picked her up, and then set her on my back. Then I took her into the bathroom and started up the tub.

When we came out of the bathroom, my friends were all there, happy to see that Alex was awake.

"We're so glad you're finally up," Twilight said to Alex. "We were hoping that you would wake up sooner."

"Well, I had to wake up eventually," said Alex.

"Well, you needed to recover," said Fluttershy.

"Plus, you were on an adventure with one of the greatest adventurers in Equestria," said Rainbow Dash. "Plus, nopony else besides us knows that she's real."

"Seriously?" asked Alex. "Not even the Cutie Mark Crusaders know?"

"We Pinkie Pie Promised that we wouldn't tell anypony about it," said Apple Bloom.

"And I guess we can understand," said Sweetie Belle. "Daring Do donates her findings to a museum, but donations don't pay the bills."

"So she writes books about her adventures, and makes her readers thinks it's all a work of fiction," said Scootaloo. "That's actually smart of her."

"Well, at least she does what she loves," said Alex. She then jumped off my back. "I'm just happy to finally be myself."

"Aw," I said. Then all of my friends and Alex's friends got in on a group hug. "I want you to have as much fun as you want to." Then I just remembered. I haven't introduced her to the rest of her new family. Luckily, my sister Maud is coming for a week long visit before she goes on a research trip. I'm sure that Alex would absolutely love Maud.

(Alex's Point of View)

I had such a fun time with my friends. And Mom introduced me to one of my aunts. Maud Pie. The fact that she barely shows any emotion kinda freaks me out. But no matter what, she's one of my new aunts.

Also, sometimes when Mom and the Cakes are out of town, they put me in charge of watching Pound and Pumpkin. Pumpkin wants me to do some girly things with her, but she is such a sweet filly. I didn't seem to mind doing some girl things now, even though I don't have to be forced to do it now. But Mom caught me and Pumpkin asleep with some makeup on.

Luckily, she didn't spill the beans on me using Mrs. Cake's makeup to Mrs. Cake herself. But, she did like it that I was having some fun with the twins, and encouraged me to do so. So what if I used to be boy for eight years. I might as well do things that are on both sides of the gender line.

But now that I'm finally able to think for myself, and have a choice of my own, I'll be living here without any mental problem of mine. Sure, I'm doing both boy things and girly things, but as long as my friends know me, I'm happy.

Author's Note

This story takes place in Season 4, after the events of "Three's a Crowd." And to make things more realistic, I decided to have Pound and Pumpkin a little older since they have been babies from season 2 to season 9 in the series.

Prologue: I Was a Boy When I Woke Up This Morning

(Alex's Point of View)

I woke up, knowing that today was the day that the orphanage was being shut down. My name is Alex. I'm a 8-year old boy who was living in an orphanage in Seattle, Washington. I lived in this orphanage my whole life. My mom and dad died when I was one year old. They were out on a day of their own, leaving me with a babysitter, but due to a heavy downpour, they were washed into a river.

I've been sent to live at an orphanage that took me in. They hoped that I would be adopted soon, but the right people never did. I was hoping that I would have been picked when I was five, but the people looking for a child never picked me. I think it has to be something to do with my rare eye color. I was born with purple eyes instead of the natural colors; hazel, blue, green, black, amber, brown, or even the weird eye color gray. I was the unlucky child that never been adopted.

Last week, the orphanage has lost basically all of their children who were waiting to be adopted. All but me. I was forced to pack everything I had for my own personal entertainment. I had my clothes put into a suitcase, and my personal entertainment stuff was put into a box that was labeled personal stuff. I had to say goodbye to the woman who owned "God's Orphanage for Hopeful Children", Mother Hope.

She hugged me, telling me that I will be fine in the foster homes, but I'm not too sure. I don't like it if the people are getting paid to love me. I was put into a blue Ford Taurus and we took off. The man driving asked me if I had something to eat. I didn't, so we went through the drive through of a McDonald's.

I was halfway done eating my sausage, egg and cheese McGriddle when I heard the man driving the car started coughing. And it wasn't the coughing that was "I just have a tickle in my throat" coughing, this was the "I'm choking to death" kind of coughing. He leaned over to his right, making the car turn to the right as well. We were over another intersection, and then I blacked out. I couldn't remember anything after that. I just hope I would be okay and wake up in the hospital.

Ow. My head really hurts. I felt myself laying down on a bed, but I could tell it wasn't a hospital bed. I've been to the hospital before when I had broken my leg two years ago. I felt some bandages wrapped around my head, my chest, and my right arm. When I woke up, I saw that I wasn't in some hospital, but it looked like some sort of sweet themed bedroom. I could see some posts that looks like candy canes, a balcony, with a railing that looks like licorice, and a stair case with a post that was connected to the railing that looks like licorice, and that post looks like soft served ice cream with gumdrops.

It looks like whoever designed this room was really into sugar. And I also saw a lot of balloons. Along with a fireplace in the room, and next to the fireplace was an ash can that was full of candy. And over the fireplace were some pink flowers. It seems a little too girly for me, but I'm guessing this wasn't my room at the foster home I was going to. I looked over at a nightstand on my right, and saw a glass of water and a small mirror.

Feeling that my throat seemed a little dry. So, I reached over to grab that glass of water, only to have it fall over. I looked at the glass of water, wondering why the glass of water tipped over and fell onto the ground, until I looked at my arm. My arm wasn't an arm anymore. It looked like a horse's hoof, covered in pink fur.

"Gaaaah!" I shouted. "What the heck?!" But then I noticed something. My voice was different. "What's wrong with my voice?! I sound like a girl!" I then saw the mirror. Looking at both of my transformed arms, I had no choice but to grab the mirror with both of these hooves. "What have I become?!" I looked at my reflection, only to see a small pink horse looking back at me. My short, brown hair has become longer and has a red bow with purple edges. I then dropped the mirror and started squirming. "No, no, no no no no! This can't be happening!" I then pulled the covers upward, trying to look at my... private area. Instead of having what I'm used to having, but it's something else. "This... this can't be happening to me! I must be dreaming! I gotta get outta here!" I didn't want this. I had to get out of this major nightmare. I got out of this bed, trying to walk on two legs, but I fell off the bed, and landed on my head, with everything fading to black.

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

Three Hours Ago...

I was walking through Ponyville, the most friendliest of places. Friendly to basically every creature who wants to be friends with us. I've even made some friends with a creature from another world. And that creature was actually a human turned pony, who was adopted by Rainbow Dash, named Danny. Right now, my friends are all out doing some things on their own. Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Danny are in the Crystal Empire helping out with, Rarity and Fluttershy decided to go to a spa in Canterlot, and as for Applejack, she and her family are in Appleloosa for some family times.

So I decided to go out for a walk around town. I was making sure that everypony around me was having a happy day. I made sure of it. Then I decided to head to the lake for some fun for myself. I jumped high into the sky, and then dove straight into the middle of the lake. But when I was underwater, I saw a huge flash coming from the surface. I was wondering what has happened, so I came back to the surface of the lake. I looked around, and I saw something unexpected. I saw a little pink Earth Pony filly with a long, brown mane. She had some cuts on her forehead, stomach and her right foreleg. I got out of the lake, shook myself dry like a dog, and became poofy for a bit. Then I went back to my naturally poofy style. I then ran over to the filly, and saw that she was unconscious.

I brought the filly back to Sugarcube Corner, and I just realized something. Why didn't I bring this filly to the hospital? I was about to head out the door until I saw Nurse Redheart was here.

"Nurse Redheart?!" I asked. "What are you doing here?"

"I was actually here for a lunch break," said Nurse Redheart. "I just finished, and I was about to head back to the hospital." She then noticed the filly on my back. "Who is that? And is she alright?"

"I don't know who she is," I told her. "But I found her like this. She's in need of some medical attention."

"Luckily, I never leave work without some medical supplies for such an emergency," said Nurse Redheart. I brought her up to the room where I sleep.

I held her up while Nurse Redheart bandaged up the cuts on this young filly. After all of the bandages were put onto the young filly, I laid her down on my bed, and put the covers over her.

"I would like you to follow me to the hospital to hand you some proper medications for the young filly, and sign some papers," said Nurse Redheart. "I'll look to see if this filly has any match of any missing ponies. I just hope this filly wasn't born human like that Danny colt."

"Good call," I said. "Let's go." I followed Nurse Redheart out of Sugarcube Corner, and towards the hospital. I hope we'll be able to find out where this young filly came from.

A Few Seconds After Alex Passed Out...

I came back to Sugarcube Corner with some medical supplies to help out that young filly I found today. But when I got back, Mrs. Cake came out of the kitchen and started heading for the stores. She then noticed me.

"Oh, thank goodness, Pinkie," said Mrs. Cake. "I believe that the young filly has woken up just a few minutes ago. She must've had a nightmare about something."

"I'm on it!" I said, before rushing up the stairs, and into my room. When I saw her out of bed, face down on the floor. I gasped, and rushed over to her. She was unconscious, again. "Oh my gosh! What has happened to her?!" I then put her back on my bed and started gently shaking her awake. Nah, I wasn't gently shaking her. She scared me, and I had to rapidly shake her awake. "C'mon. Wake up, wake up."

(Alex's Point of View)

I blacked out for a few moments. I could feel someone holding me and shaking me awake. I slowly opened my eyes, and saw a pink pony in front of me.

"Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!" she said worriedly. I then got wide eyed, and pushed her away from me, and then I looked at myself.

"No," I whispered. "This... this has to be some kind of nightmare."

"What was that?" asked the pink horse.

"This has to be a nightmare!" I shouted. "I'm not supposed to be like this!"

"C'mon," said the pink horse. "This ain't no nightmare. You just got to..."

"Stay away from me!" I shouted. I then got off the bed, and crawled under the bed. I then started crying. This wasn't where I was supposed to be. I have to get out of here. But how?

(Pinkie Pie's Point of View)

I was shocked. I was trying to cheer up this filly, and she doesn't even want me to come and comfort her. Did I do something wrong? Was I upsetting her for some reason? I then looked under the bed.

I then asked her, "Are you okay?"

"Just leave me alone," she said. "I'm not supposed to be here. I wanna go back to Seattle."

"Seattle?" I asked, confused. "Oh, don't you mean Seaddle?"

"No!" said the filly. "I mean Seattle. As in Seattle, Washington, on Earth."

I then gasped. "Earth?!" I asked. "You're from... Earth?! Are you a human?"

She looked at me and said, "Not just a human. My body was that of a boy's. I don't know how I became a girl horse."

I then thought about it. Of course this kid wouldn't know that she's in a world of ponies. But, how did this kid's gender change as he arrived here? It doesn't make any sense.

I then said, "Actually... about that..." I chuckled nervously. "You've turned into a pony. Not a horse."

"What?!" she asked. "Oh, c'mon!" She then realized something. "Wait a minute, how do you know about Earth?"

"Well," I said, rubbing the back of my head, "I have something to explain to you, but, you're not the first human that came here to Equestria."

She then came out from under my bed. She then asked, "Did the kid end up with the same change as me?"

"No, I'm afraid," I told her. "His name is Danny, and he did become a pony, but he became a pegasus pony, and he had a tough life for a month before he came here."

"What happened with him?" she asked.

"His own aunt and uncle killed his parents so they could use him to get themselves rich again after they lost all their money," I said. "But they weren't supposed to have custody of them because Danny's mother was disowned by her own family, and left in Oregon."

"Oregon? That's actually south of the state I was in," she said.

"Well, when we got them to expose themselves, they were sent to jail," I told her. "So, what's your story?"
