The Next Six Dozen
Chapter 15
Previous ChapterCelestia groaned as she rubbed her belly as much as her forelimbs would allow, which wasn't much considering just how big she had gotten. Though she had recently stopped adding foals to her belly, the sheer amount of them already growing in her womb made the mare so large that she could no longer move so much as an inch. Indeed, with well over a hundred fully term foals in her belly, the mare was more womb than pony at this point.
She was huge, gigantic even, and needed to be teleported from one place to the next if she wanted to go anywhere. Not like that was often, as at this point she had moved into Twilight’s castle permanently, which had somehow managed to change itself so that way there was a room large enough for the giant pony to fit in. An enormous bed enchanted with a few dozen force resistant wards kept the pony comfortable even while her stomach turned and she groaned once more.
“Pinkie that's enough.” She muttered, before wiping her lips.
The party pony frowned, and lowered the latest pastry away from Celestia’s face. “Now Tia, you know your eating for like two hundred at this point. Doctor’s orders, five four course meals a day, and no buts about it.”
The alicorn groaned a third time. “But Twilight made sure that I didn't have to eat that much remember? She used that sustenance spell or whatever.”
“And that spell can't fix everything, you still need regular food you know.” Pinkie Pie replied, before turning to Fluttershy. “Right Flutters?”
The pegasus shook her head and forced her gaze from Celestia’s stomach. “Err, what were we talking about?”
Celestia frowned, and crossed her hooves. “Pinkie Pie was trying to stuff more pastries into me.”
“Well you are eating for a small village you know.” Fluttershy murmured, her gaze falling back to Celestia’s belly and drifting off, though she at least kept her forehooves raised, ensuring the pile of pastries she carried didn't fall.
Celestia sighed and rolled her eyes. “Fine, but I want some variety for my pre dinner snack.”
“Deep fried pickles, or chocolate chip ice cream?” Replied Pinkie Pie.
“Both.” Celestia declared. “Together, please.”
“Okie dokie lokie!” Proclaimed Pinkie before stuffing another danish into Celestia’s mouth.
This time Celestia begrudgingly ate the food, trying to ignore just how amazing it tasted, and failing utterly while making happy little cooing noises as the flavor danced on her tongue. As she was being fed, Celestia could hear a door open somewhere far below her, near the floor and away from the long staircase that led up to her face.
“And I’m telling you it's going to be fine.” Exclaimed Twilight tiredly as she trotted across the room. “Shes progressing normally, and the magic of the elements helped things along just as they did Celestia.”
Applejack nervously trotted after the unicorn, a great mountain of papers balanced on her back. “And I’m telling you, Rara’s just a normal pony, not an alicorn, she can't handle seven foals!” Applejack declared right back.
“Hello you two. Still arguing, I see?” Shouted Celestia.
The two ponies stopped and looked up at the alicorn, with Twilight sighing and shaking her head. “I’ve written two books on the topic of extreme fecundity and a dozen research papers pending on the subject. I know what I’m doing yet Applejack still doesn't trust me.” Twilight complained.
The apple farmer sighed and hung her head. “It's not that I don't trust ya, it's just this is a might bit peculier is all. She didn't have none of the super spells that Celestia had on her you know? What if it doesn't go well?”
Twilight turned to her friend and grabbed her face in her forehooves. “Applejack. I have used almost every enchantment I know on your fiance, she could go toe to toe with a dragon and come out of the altercation utterly unharmed. She's going to be fine.”
“Your right. I’m worrying about the wrong thing.” Applejack declared, only to turn to Celestia. “I should be worried about Mount Alicorn over here.”
Twilight sighed, and ran a hoof down her face while Celestia merely giggled. “You have no reason to worry about me fair Applejack. I will come out of this soon enough now that you are not putting any more foals in me.”
“And thank goodness for that. We were already straining the ludicrous strength of an alicorn at this point.” Muttered Twilight.
Pinkie Pie scoffed. “Pfft that's nothing. Celestia is invincible! We could put a thousand babies in her and she would be fine.”
Fluttershy shuddered and whispered. “A thousand foals.” Under her breathe.
“Don't get anything too crazy in that head of yours Flutters, Celestia still has to officiate me and Rara’s wedding and she can't do that if she's stuck here.” Applejack shot back.
“We could have the wedding here, couldn't we?” Offered Fluttershy.
Applejack’s rebuttal was interrupted by a window banging open and Rainbow Dash flying into the room, bringing with her a gust of wind that threatened to send Twilight’s papers everywhere. The speedster zoomed up to Celestia only to stop when she realized how many people were around.
“Err, hey girls. What are you doing here?” Muttered the pony, who had been about to shout something only to have stopped herself at the last minute.
“What does it look like?” Pinkie Pie replied, only to shove another baked good into Celestia’s mouth.
Fluttershy giggled and leaned towards Celestia. “Do you think she was here to confess?” The alicorn flashed her shy lover a knowing smirk, making her giggle. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
“I live here.” Twilight shouted. “A better question is what your doing here!”
Rainbow Dash blushed, and rubbed the back of her neck nervously. “Uh nothing. Just wanted to climb alicorn mountain if you catch my drift.”
Celestia licked her lips. “Well, I wouldn't mind a little fun.” She murmured.
“Heck yeah!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed, pumping a hoof in the air.
“Oh no you don't.” Twilight interrupted, the mare self levitating herself up to the pegasus. “We have a whole bunch of tests to go through first, plus Rarity was going to stop by and-”
Whatever else Twilight was going to say was cut off by the large double doors slamming open and revealing an ever ravishing looking Rarity. “Darling, I have arrived with the most wonderful news!” With a snap, pop, Rarity appeared on the large ledge that jutted from the wall near Celestia’s face. “I have finally finished your newest garment and it. Is. Fabulous!”
Rainbow Dash sighed. “Dresses can wait, we were about to get down and dirty.”
“We were actually going to do some tests.” Corrected Twilight.
“No, we were feeding Celestia.” Pinkie Pie proclaimed, before pushing a donut into Celestia’s mouth.
The alicorn was unbothered by the arguing, having grown used to the back and forth of her lovers, and friends. Fluttershy seemed similarly unbothered, and smiled faintly at the alicorn, her expression serene, even as everyone else began to shout over one another save for her and Pinkie Pie, of course.
All and all it was a chaotic scene, with everypony wanting to do one thing, or another, and not agreeing on the order those things should be done. Throughout it all, Celestia simply smiled, and ate her sugary snacks, knowing full well that everypony involved would figure things out sooner or later.
And in the meantime there was food to eat.
Oh yeah, it was all working out nicely.
