One's Life is too Short to Care- A Time in Ponyvill
Author Note: This is my first fan fic so please comment and give input, but do not be to harsh Thanks
It was a wonderfull evening in Equestria. The train was going to arrive to his destination shortly. He has heard alot about Ponyvill, but was not going to be sure about it till he got there. His name is Gust Wing; an amazingly talented pegasus. Working the weather team in Phillydelphia was always fun and a new adventure to him everyday, but there was always something missing. While he was always talented when it came to flying he didnt have a single hoof on how to make friends or none the less, he didn't have any.
Excited to try his hoof at a new life he decided to move to a small country town named Ponyvill. Although it is small it's a peacefull friendly place. Figuring it's a great place to start, he was on the train heading there now. Watching the scenery of the ride that has lasted about three hours now, his growing excitment was to hard to handle.
" How much longer till we get there?" Gust wing asked a passing conductor.
" About thirty minuets." was their reply.
Satisfied with the answer he returned to admiring the view. With a handsom long main of white with red highlites, a pretty teal coat, and elegant wings, Gust Wing was ready for his new life.
Not having packed much he heard his stomach groan. (Dear Celestia I sure am Hungry) Slowly standing from his seat, he stretched his legs and ruffled his wings, making his way to the concessions area of the train. With his mind overflowing with too many thoughts, he isn't paying attention to where he is walking when he bumps into another colt.
"Exuse me!"
Frightened by the sudden contact with another pony he withdraws himself.
"Oh...i,m so sorry...im....uh....sorry."
Quickly he moves past the mare and hurriedly makes his way to grab some noms. Browsing the selection of various herbs, fruits, salads, and flowers he quickly scrambles up a quick meal and pays 5 bits for his food. After returning to his seat, without delay, he proceeds to eating his food.
"I am such a clutz sometimes." he mumbles to himself.
After waiting long enough, the overbell finally rings signalling that they have arrived at Ponyvill. Excited he quickly despensis his tray and gathers his belongings. After exiting the train, he takes in his surroundings. (Wow it sure is bright and sunny here, and maybe they will even have room on the weather team.) Looking around he takes in the numerous colts and mares all with smiling faces. Till he notices something out of place. Under an oak tree he sees a lone pony sulking. Not thinking about it he walks over to the mare.
" Are you ok? Whats wrong?"
She was sky blue in color with a blue mane. Glasses and beautiful blue eyes.
" Oh....I am fine no need to worry about me."
" I can clearly see the tears on your cheeks, please is there anything I can do to help?"
She looks up to Gust with a sparkle in her eyes. Then she quickly tries to explain her situation.
" Well, you see......I couldnt keep up with the rent on my appartment, the landlord gave me warnings, but I just couldnt keep up."
She sniffled a bit and I continued to listen to her bout.
" So...after a few weeks she finally evicted me and now unless I can come up with the bits in a week it will be permanent."
I nodded my head and gave her a short and sweet hug.
" Well how much are you behind, because I just moved here and if you need help we can be roommates."
She glanced at him awkwardly, realizing how that could have sounded he quickly explained.
" B-but nothing more of course, just till you can get more settled, then I can leave."
There was new hope in the air, the fresh country side air. She had hope in here eyes gleaming like a gem just found by a little filly on the beach.
" Oh thank you so much! mister........"
" Oh my name is Gust Wing, but you can call me Gust."
Smiling she was quick to introduce herself as well.
" My name is Saphire Mist. Pleased to make your aquaintenense."
I returned her smile and looked around to see if anyone had noticed this encounter.(Already here for five minutes and I have a place to stay this is a great start.) Noticing the time he quickly finished up with the conversation asking where the place was and handed her 100 bits to give the landlord.
" I,ll meet you later over there im guna take a look around town, to get my bearings."
She nodded and hurriedly left the scene. First he decided to go into town to see what kinds of places he could find. Trotting at a steady pace he took in more of his surroundings. The beatifull mountain scapes, the sunny sky, the friendly atmoshpere; it was all to exciting for him. He took a moment to gather his thoughts and sat at a bench next to a fountain.( It's great here I love it.....It almost seems to be too good though.) He took a long breath of fresh air and breathed a relaxed sigh to himself.
" I could get used to this."
From behind he heard someone shout.
" Used to what!" a pink pony showed up in front of him bouncing.
" Wait! I havent seen you before! Are you visiting. Are you knew! Oh MY I NEED TO THROW YOU A WELCOME PARTY!!!!!" the pony said in one breath
Sitting there astounded Gust gathered himself and spoke.
" My name is Gust Wing I..." he was cut off by another excited flurry of rambling.
" Gust Wing! OH you are neeew here! I cant believe we have a new pony here." She climbed ontop of the nereby flagpoll.
"EVERYBODY THERE IS A NEW POOONY HERE."
Blushing with embarasment Gust stood up just to be stopped by the pink pony again.
" I,m Pinky Pie your everyday PARTY PONY! I throw all kinds of parties and I am everybodys friend!"
She paused for a moment and looked at me with a huge smile on her face.
" That meens you too mister! Ok I have to go get ready bye bye!"
Before Gust had a chance to say anything else she dashed off.( Wow what an enthusiastic pony!)
He got up and decided he had enough excitment for one day. As he trotted toward the appartment complex where he will be staying, he took one last whiff of the fresh countyside air. His days at Ponyvill are just beggining. Little did he know there was alot more then sad ponys and happy pink ones. When he arrived he took his first step in his new home, and his first step in his new life.
Authors note- Im sorry if my formating is weird and my grammer or spelling is off ill try my best to improve on it I mainly want input on story and plot as well as character development Thanks everypony! also in the next chaper and every chaper following i will include a short paragraph at the beggining with the short story of my brony life and biography thingy its short and wont interupt the main story so have a great day
