Author's Note
This is something I wrote in just an hour after being inspired by the music I was listening to. So I had to write it down before the inspiration went away.

Old Entries
A snowy day greeted Sunset on her last day as a High School student before their graduation ceremony. This season is special to her as it reminds her of the times she celebrated Hearth's Warming Eve with her former mentor, Princess Celestia.
Sitting by the couch, Sunset quietly watched the snow fall down from the sky, gingerly landing on the roads outside. Ever since she came to this world, she came to appreciate the wonders of the weather in this world, considering that there are no Pegasus to control it.
Sipping from her hot cup of cocoa, she pondered on what to do once she and the girls graduate. Would she have no place here after she graduates? Will the girls still be friends with her after they part ways to their respective colleges they will enroll for? Would they somehow, by any chance, stick together in one college? A lot of thoughts came to fruition inside Sunset's mind.
Sipping once more, she smiled at the warm beverage. This is one of the reasons why she loves the winter season. "Just like old times…"
"Princess Celestia, I'm cold and thirsty."
The princess smiled at the young filly, "I have just the thing for your needs." Levitating the cup of hot chocolate, she set it down next to Sunset. The young filly levitated the cup and looked at the contents.
"What is this, Princess Celestia?"
"That is Hot Chocolate, Sunset. It's what I drink whenever winter comes to Canterlot. Go on, give it a try."
The young filly took a sip carefully, her eyes widening to the realization of its taste. "Wow! This is delicious! Thank you, Princess Celestia!"
Celestia gave a motherly hug to the young filly, and smiled. "I'm glad you like it, Sunset. It's what my parents would make for me and my sister during winter."
"Can I have more after this? Please, please, please?" The filly begged with a set of puppy eyes. Celestia smiled softly and nuzzled Sunset's cheek.
"Of course, Sunset. Anytime you need a hot cup of chocolate, I'll brew as much as you need."
"And she did make me those cups of hot choco…" Sunset smiled, taking one last sip from her cup before setting it aside on the coffee table.
Turning her attention to the old dusty journal she found from her closet last night, she carefully opened the Journal and looked at the table of contents. Ever since after the Battle of the Bands, Sunset and the girls would hold on to the journal day by day and write their thoughts about whatever is on their mind. Eventually, the last holder was herself before she forgot to renew the cycle.
Turning to the first page of the Journal, she smiled as she read the written note.
"Alright girls, this Journal is now our daily diary. Day by day, we'll give the Journal to one another and write our daily thoughts down. As leader of this Journal, the first holder for the day would be Applejack."
Turning to Applejack's section, she read the contents as she took her hot choco, taking a sip.
"Howdy y'all, I guess this is my first time Ah'm writing some sort of personal thoughts in this journal. Nothing much to write down except my appreciation for you girls. Without y'all, I would've never gotten over the death of my parents, and that means a lot to me girls. Thank you for being a part of my daily life.

She smiled as she turned to the next page, greeted by drawings of balloons and cupcakes on the side.
"Hey girls, guess who gets to write down her thoughts tonight! That's right, it's me! I have soooooo many things to write. Like how to bake a cake or how to throw a super duper spectacular party guide by yours truly! But like, I'm here to write down to say thank you girls for supporting my parties and my passion as a baker. You girls make my days complete, like OH I JUST WANNA HUG YOU ALL! :D"

"P.S. - Guess who's baking a super duper cake next month!"
Sunset rolled her eyes as she finished reading Pinkie's entry, turning to the next page to see the carefully written words.
"Dear diary,
Today was exceptionally dazzling. Not only did I win this year's fashion design for CHS, but I also got to ship my new dresses in time for Photo Finish's World Your photoshoot! This wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for my wonderful friends. You girls are my light in the dark, whenever I am facing a dilemma, you are there for me despite my dramatic tendencies. For that, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart."
She smiled at what Rarity wrote, the reassuring words gave her comfort in her heart.
"Today was great, I finally got Mr. Beaver to overcome his fear of swimming. He looked sooo happy when he took his first swimming lessons, especially when he was joined by the other beavers that we rescued last month. This wouldn't have been possible without your help, girls. Thank you for helping me help Mr. Beaver overcome his fears."
She remembered the day she and the girls helped Fluttershy to convince the beaver about swimming away his fears.
After what seemed to have lasted for hours of reading various journal entries from one girl to another, she reached the last entry which was dated three months ago. The last entry had signs of dried tear droplets on the paper.
Hey girls, so this is it. We're graduating from CHS. I just can't believe that we're finally here, of all things that I expected would take years before it arrives. I am at a loss for words on how to describe the majority of what I'm feeling at the moment. Many of us are probably going to a different college, different institution, or state university.
But I'm worried. What if I have no place here after I graduate? What if you girls forget me, or our friendship? The bonds that we built? I guess it's just me overthinking things, but the fear is still there.
Should I go back home to Equestria and live out my days as Princess Twilight's pupil, or do I stay here and find where I can be of use? I can't tell even now. Yet you girls are still here, despite the impending graduation day. I honestly hope that despite this, we still remember each other and that we would continue to hang out.
I love you girls so much, from bottom of my heart. Without you girls in my life, I would have been the same lonely, bad girl Sunset Shimmer that you used to know.
I love you girls. Thank you for everything.

She realized that she had been crying the whole time reading the last journal entry, especially now that the ceremony is tomorrow. She closed the journal and embraced it, as she began sobbing, not with tears of sadness, but with tears of joy.
Tears of joy that the memories brought.
Not too long, she hears a knock on the door and a familiar voice.
"Hey Sunset, it's me, Twilight! The girls and I came here for a pre-graduation party! Pinkie insisted. Can we come in?"
She smiled. She smiled because she can put those worries of her being forgotten by her friends away, because no matter what happens, they'll be there for her and each other.
As one person said from a particular movie, ʻOhana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten.
