//-------------------------------------------------------// The Winter Revolution -by Encirclement_productions- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Unlikely saviours //-------------------------------------------------------// Unlikely saviours December 994 Princessyn (modern day Stalliongrad) Steel Stallion, Altidiya Revoltsova and Vasiliy Pentsushenko all sit at a table in a brightly lit room. The doors to the room are opened and the captain of the equestrian royal guard enters followed by a Pegasus wearing a foreign military's dress uniform. Steel stallion holds out his hoof and the Pegasus shakes it with the captain of the guard ignoring the gesture and proceeding to sit down. “Thank you for agreeing to discuss a possible armistice” Steel stallion nods before saying. “Let us hope we can at least come to a way to lessen our ponies suffering” “Of course, I’ve already arranged that no further moves will be taken by the guard until our meeting has completed.” Steel stallion says. “Shall we.” The Pegasus nods before taking a seat with steel stallion following suit. Steel stallion says confidently. “I along with many of my advisers feel like they represent the wishes of our people and hope we can negotiate the terms of our independence, we ask that the royal guard remove its troops from our lands.” The captain of the guard chuckles before declaring. “That’s asking a bit much, I think the royal guard could easily crush your little rebellion.” The Pegasus nods before. “Now I understand that the guard feels it shouldn’t have to negotiate with the rebels but I feel like we can find some way for both parties to be satisfied.” Altidiya glares at the Pegasus before asking. “Why should we consider negotiating with Equestria at all, and why should we listen to a foreigner to solve our problems.” The Pegasus. “Steel stallion who is this pony.” Steel stallion glares at Altidiya before responding. “This is one of my advisers Altidiya Revoltsova.” The Pegasus nods before answering Altidiya's question. “Because we’ve had communists take office and turn our nation into a dictatorship, we just want to make sure your citizens are well cared for.” The captain shouts at the Pegasus in anger “You're legitimizing this rebellion, they are still equestrian subjects.” Steel stallion fires back. “We are not equestrian subjects anymore, we demand freedom.” The Pegasus says as he motions to both parties. “Why don’t we try to have it both ways, Equestria wants to keep the region in the fold, and the socialist want to have freedom, what about them being a dominion they get their own constitution, own social assembly, socialists get more freedom from equestrian rule, and equestrian still has some control over them.” Vasiliy leans towards steel who leans towards him and whispers into steel stallions ear. “I think this is our best course of action, we can’t win a war against Equestria, we might be able to break away peacefully in due time.” Steel nods before turning to the Pegasus. Steel stallion sighs before. “Against my better judgment I feel like the foreigner is right, but I want to ensure we have the freedom to change our laws and will not be forced by equestrian drafts.” Altidiya opens her mouth to protest but remains silent. The captain stands before declaring and storming out of the room. “Never I will not allow these traitors to go unpunished.” The Pegasus sighs before saying. “I would get your ponies ready, because I don’t think I can stop them this time.” Steel stallion looks to both of his advisers. “You two should go, they’ve probably already begun their preparations.” The Pegasus walks towards the door before saying. “I’ll try to get you some help but I can’t promise it’ll be enough.” The Pegasus leaves the building before stepping inside of a jeep. “Get me to the embassy immediately.” Hours later..... Rows of royal guards March towards the city of Princessyn unopposed that was until they reached the border. Sandbags blocked the paved road as the equestrian forces were shocked to have been opposed. Twenty or so ponies wearing very distinct uniforms displaying their status as peacekeepers block the path of the army, pointing rifles at the guards and an officer yells at the royal guards. “Attention, the Severnaya Soviet state is under the diplomatic protection of the coalition of free colonies, following a guarantee to preserve its ponies independence and freedoms, if you attempt entry you must do so with the purpose of peace, if not you will have violated international law and will be at war.” The royal guards look at each before one of its officers says. “This is no business of your coalition, stand aside.” The officer yells. “I am under congressional order to hold my ground against those who do not wish to preserve peace, turn back now or there will be war!” The royal guard officer, not feeling like starting a war turned and yelled. “Back to camp.” Several of the peacekeepers breathed a sigh of relief thankful they hadn’t had to fight their way out. The officer sends a report to the embassy. “The equestrian troops have decided not to engage us sir.” The Pegasus says. “I’m sure they’ll try to force us to abandon the rebels but I fully intend to hold our ground.” Little more than an hour later...... Gun fire erupted across the country side as the peacekeepers hid behind whatever cover they could find. Equestria hadn’t taken lightly to their little stunt and now they were not messing around. An officer yells for a withdrawal as the equestrian troops draw closer to their lines. “Fall back.” Coalition Congress, New Engrain, Trottonto Chancellor Manechester hurries through the building towards the Congress chambers after hearing of a vote to react to the situation in Equestria. Just hours ago they’d voted to stand their ground and try to prevent a war now Equestria was outright demanding they stay out of it. He bursts into the chamber as one of the senators says. “Chancellor, I suppose you’ve heard, Equestria has just issued an ultimatum, remove our forces from Equestria or face the consequences.” Manechester says. “Yes I have senators and I feel that the best course of action right now is to refuse the demands.” Several of the senators respond. “We cannot afford another war against Equestria and her allies.” “You asked me to find us allies, and right now Equestria is threatening one of our allies.” A senator stands. “We understand the need to be of our word, but a war against Equestria would be very unpopular, we’ve been in two wars in the past 5 years surely, and we are still recovering from the colonial war, why would we stand by a group of rebels who are the very thing we fought against prior.” Manechester says as he looks around. “They may be socialist but I feel that if we help them in their time of need and help steer them in the correct path we could have a powerful ally later, I know that a war against Equestria would be costly maybe even unpopular, they have given us a golden opportunity to prove ourselves as loyal to our allies showing we’d be willing to risk everything to honor our word, such dedication to even the weakest of allies will gain us much respect and the fact they are associated with our former enemies is even more proof that we will protect those that are weak and defend liberty even if we don’t share the same values.” “Squandering such an opportunity would not only weaken our image but show we are unwilling to oppose those of greater power, so I ask you not to submit to the equestrian demands, we choose our own destiny.” Several of the senators clap their hooves together. The senator says. “We shall put it too a vote, all in favor of refusing the equestrian ultimatum say I” The vast majority of the senators except for a few all respond. “I” “Then it is decided, we will not bow to the equestrian demands, should Equestria respond with force we shall defend the coalitions allies and interests abroad, dismissed.” The senators leave the chamber as Manechester jogs to catch up with a senator. “Kane.” The senator turns before smiling before whispering into his ear. “Manechester, you're lucky that congress let your little stunt slide, you delayed the vote for a response.” Manechester nods. “I know I just needed to get something taken care of.” Kane sighs before saying. “The director sure won't like your little recommendation to the generals to stop him from being in the loop.” “He’ll get over it eventually.” "Let us hope for all our sake's" To be continued...... Author's Note It was kind of difficult to know which date the actual rebellion starts in on the wiki it says in its page it started 994, while on the timeline its 995-996, so I just decided to take creative liberty saying it starts december 944. Pretty excited about what the community will think about this, the 2nd chapter should at least be a bit better then the 1st I hope. edited, sent it through goggle docs spell check, found out i wasn't the first stalliongrad story. //-------------------------------------------------------// Equestria is at war. //-------------------------------------------------------// Equestria is at war. Portmane SOD equus section headquarters Director Johnathan walker I place a record into my record player before starting it. The sound of classical music fills the room as I glance up at the clock. I still have 20 minutes of free time. I walk over to my desk before placing my officers cap on it before sitting in my reclining chair. "Time for some undisturbed relaxation." I close my eyes as I stretch my wings trying just to focus on the sound of the music. I sit there silently as I begin to doze off before I jolt awake to the sound of the phone ringing. My secretary's voice comes from the phone. "Sorry to disturb you director but I got a call from admiral Jackson." I never get my rest in this job. I still don't know why I took it in the first place. I sigh before saying. "Tell him to leave me a message I'm on break." I shift forwards before opening my secret alcohol stash. I pull out a bottle of whiskey the real good stuff not that trash they sell at bars. I look at the label before smiling. "920 royal crown whiskey." This stuff was worth a fortune. Thankfully I had quite a nice stash of it. The phone rings again as I pour myself a glass before putting the bottle away. "Sir it's the deputy director." I pick up the phone as I say in an annoyed voice. "Better make this quick deputy." "We are currently a war sir." I sigh as I glance at the clock with it showing I only have ten minutes of my break left. "Which country." "Equestria sir." I pick up my glass before beginning to drink it as the deputy says. "Sir did you hear me." I finish my glass as I say. "I heard you, let's hear the details of what happened." The deputy begins telling me about the events, I wasn't really all that interested, more annoyed as he goes on. "And then congress decided to refuse its ultimatum so they declared war on us." I sit back in my chair taking in he said as I say. "You done deputy." "Yes sir." I lean forwards. "Why don't you explain to me why I wasn't informed of this earlier." "Well I just learned about it right now, after I checked in with our ambassador in equestria, and learned about the declaration on the news." This could be a massive problem. I rub my eyes with my hoof. "Okay I want the national guard to be activated, and find out why the military didn't inform me of this." Some pony or Griffin probably didn't want me finding out about this, now I've got to clean up this whole mess. I hang up the phone before dialing a number before saying. "Admiral cold chill, I need you and your fleet sent to Saint Petershoof they need to be ready to fight the equestrian navy, also your to bring the 1st subarctic corps from its post in blackwater." Cold chill responds hesitantly. "I'm under orders from admiral jackson to protect blackwater." I did not like getting told off. I change my tone to try and intimidate the Admiral. "I'm in charge of military operations, any orders he gives you are secondary, now unless you want an early retirement you'll do what I told you." I hang up before dialing the airbase commander. "Yes I need a plane fueled and ready to take me to Princessyn right away I'll be there in a hour." A few hours later....... The planes engines slow as we taxi off the runway towards a group of cars The door of the plane opens as I undo my seatbelt. I strap a vest on before stepping off the plane. Better safe than sorry as I always say A cold wind pushes me slightly back as I'm met with a miserable blizzard. The blizzard kind of reminds me of the pisshole that we call blackwater. I trot towards a car as a pony opens the door for me. "Sir we're glad you made it." I smile as I step inside before saying. "Well I was hoping for a warm welcome." The pony chuckles before closing the door and climbing inside. The car drives out of the airport as I say. "Take me to town hall." The driver nods as I look out the window at distant explosions. A few minutes pass as the car turns down the streets before coming to an abrupt halt. I look ahead of us to see twenty or so rebels aiming rifles at us. I step out of the car as I chuckle to my driver's attempts to stop me. "Sir don't." I pull a winter jacket on before closing the door. I move slowly towards the rebels as they yell at me in Severnaya. "Stop, stop, put your hooves on your head and get on the ground now." Great not ponish speaking, maybe Manegolian is close enough. I put my hooves on my head as I continue towards them before responding. "I am a fellow enemy of equestria, I am here to see your leader, I am from the coalition." The rebels look at one another as they lower their weapons before whispering to themselves. "Coalition, what should we do." Okay they probably understand me. "My name is Johnathan Walker, the director of the coalition, I must see steel stallion at once." I lower my hands as the rebels nod "We are going to take you to him but we've got our eyes on you." A few minutes later I step into a command center before spotting steel stallion. This is going to be a treat. Steel stallion notices me and motions me over before announcing to his officers in ponish. "Attention, this is director walker from the coalition, he is here as a military advisor you are all to treat him as though you were listening to me." I trot over to steel stallion whilst getting looks from the soviet officers in the room. Steel stallion begins to explain to me the situation as he motions to the map spread out before him. "The equestrians have us outnumbered 10 to 1 and we've already mobilized all our capable fighters." I look at the map before saying. "Show me the locations of equestrian forces and your forces." A somewhat attractive female officer walks to the table. "Sir." I turn my attention to the officer. Steel stallion says. "This is Altidiya Revoltsova she has been commanding our forces." She holds out a hoof which I shake. Steel stallion says before leaving. "Explain the situation." I rub my eyes before listening in. She proceeds to place numerous markers showing enemy locations. "The guards have begun to push our militia back to the west and have started a new offensive in the east." The guards must be trying to cut off trade predictable. "We've managed to halt their advance towards the city as of now." I nod before saying. "What would you recommend." Altidiya gives me a look of intrigue before saying. "The other commanders think that we should concentrate our forces towards the west." "I want your recommendation not the other commanders." She says hesitantly. "I think the east is the best option." Has some confidence issues, could be fixed with time. I nod as I say. "Why is that." "If we lose control of the ports we have no hope of getting help." At least somewhat competent in war. Grinning I respond. "That's a good assessment, do that." What else do you know Altidiya looks at the map before saying. "But then we'd be open to an attack on the west they could outflank our defences." "That's where I come in, now you've at least shown me you're competent enough to assist me." "Now I've got an entire corps coming to assist, I along with its troops will help you win this war." Altidiya nods before asking "When can I expect them." I turn to her as I say. "Saint Petershoof in most likely a day." Altidiya smiles before suggesting. "Maybe we could have them March parade style through the city." "Alright it should help with propaganda, I'll give the corps commander A day later...... Music echoes from a band as row upon row of coalition soldiers march down the street in parade fashion. I lean against the railing overlooking the city square which the parade passes through. Thousands of ponies cheer on our troops as they march carrying their skies and weapons. Altidiya was right, these ponies are eating this up, she could come In use if things don't work out here. After the infantry passes trucks pulling artillery and anti tank weapons follow behind it. A griffin battalion commander walks up behind me. "Sir." I glance over my shoulder before motioning him forwards. "How many troops am I looking at." The battalion walks next to me before saying. "25000 sir, all ready at your command." Damn regular corps were much bigger, just going to make my job harder I nod before asking. "Who's in command of the corps." A column of motorized and armoured vehicles follows as the parade nears its end. "General snow drift." I chuckle, before saying. "Not anymore, tell him to head back to blackwater, the recently demoted general redwing will take over command." The commander asks. "Sir may I ask why." Why can't my commanders stop questioning me all the time. "Because Redwing has betrayed my trust and this assignment is to make him repay his debt to me." The commander nods. "I'll get it done right away." "Tell snow drift that he's been recalled to Blackwater to take over as it's new defence director, the previous one has been removed for treason against the state." The commander flies off as I the parade ends, I trot down a staircase towards an open top car back towards Princessyn. The car comes to a stop outside of a makeshift field headquarters outside of the city. I'd had Altidiya choose a suitable place for me to coordinate my efforts and I was impressed by the location, I was atop a summit which provided a commanding view over the countryside. The door of the car is opened by an officer. "Sir your orders have been followed to the letter as requested." I get out of the car as I feel the coldness of winter gripping my breath. "Quite cold isn't it." The officer nods. "Colonel redwing is just inside the tent sir." I follow the officer towards the command tent which I enter. I stop at the entryway scanning the tent before spotting Redwing talking to Altidiya, Altidiya laughs as he continues talking before I yell. "Colonel with me." The colonel says something to Altidiya before hurrying outside I step outside with him. I notice the slight grin on his face but it quickly dissipates when he sees the scowl on my face. "Redwing I know you signed the order for me to not be informed of events." Redwing says as he nods. "Sir I'm sorry it won't happen again." A sorry oh he's lucky I don't have him shot for this. I hit him upside the head. "Damn right it wont, your lucky I didn't have you shot for treason, you betrayed my trust redwing, after everything I did for you, you were abandoned on the streets, I give you a new life, get you a job, and what you turn around and lie to me." Redwing lowers his head. "I'm sorry sir, just when I heard she was involved I just had to do something." Wait...... dammit he did it for Altidiya... "You did this for a mare, I trained you better than this." He nods as he says. "We grew up together, we were friends, I love her and I'd do the same thing again if I had to." I look away from him as I rub my eyes. Just forgive him move on, you've done stupid stuff too for love. "I forgive you but If you try this again, you're out of my life." He nods before hugging me, catching me somewhat off guard. "Thank you sir." I push him away as I shake my head. "Formality colonel, keep your relationship completely professional, and I want all your troops ready for my personal inspection." Redwing salutes me before trotting off. "Yes sir." After organizing his troops into attention I told him to keep them that way for an hour. A blizzard had started as I waited for the hour to end. It wasn't for cruelty sake but a test to see truly how disciplined the troops were, and most notably how loyal Redwing was to his word after his recent betrayal, the one pony I trusted had betrayed me, I'd been far too gentle with him, he had to learn his place soon. Seeing the time was up I walked out of the warm tent and began my inspection of the troops. Redwing walks alongside me as I glance over at him I could tell he was freezing. He was struggling to follow me through the inspection. I'd probably remove him from command if he couldn't handle a bit of weather, something I'd hardly call punishment. Unlike redwing the soldiers seemed unaffected by the cold, they all stood holding their packs on their backs standing on their hind legs which most would've had difficulty they had no problem with. I'd never seen such a wonderful sight, most of our military units contained either ponies or griffins due to limitations and tensions, griffins and ponies usually didn't get along but I was impressed by what I saw. I say to redwing as I continue walking. "Very impressive." I begin to inspect the armoured and motorized forces. "Redwing tell me again the tanks we have." He coughs as he responds. "We have a battalion's worth of foreign tanks, and a squadron of citadel light tanks." Citadels will have to prioritize field testing those. I nod before looking over at our air support. "And what of our airborne units." He nods before saying rubbing his hooves together. "We have twelve seagulls in total sir." "Perfect, have the crews mount machine guns onto the sides." Still shivering he nods. "Yes sir." "Perfect your soldiers are dismissed, I'll see you in the morning colonel." Redwing says as I trot away. "Thank you sir." "Don't thank me yet colonel." Author's Note i sometimes hate myself, i had to reformat this three times, ahhhhh!!!!! anyway, red letters for essentially russian, blue for walkers thoughts, and yellow is for my notes. in other news im just starting the last chapter, so hazzah im running out of time, now if you excuse me im going to go drink my sorrows away with some. TEA!!!!! P.S Im probably going to end up starting a ship next chapter if i manage to drag its carcass of a chapter across the finish line //-------------------------------------------------------// Party like it's 955 //-------------------------------------------------------// Party like it's 955 Colonel Redwing, 1st subarctic corps Sweat rolls down my forehead as I glance over at my mentor. He'd taught me everything I know, we'd barely spoken to each other, I'd messed up big time, I'd betrayed him and now he was giving me the cold shoulder, he just sat there reading the newspaper. I sit up before stepping outside. The cold winds cause a chill to go up my spine as I begin to navigate myself through the deep snow not being able to handle being in his presence anymore. I move over to a parked tank and I lean up against its hull before pulling a cigarette out of my pocket. Checking my pockets I sigh. Suddenly I hear a chuckle from besides me. I glance over and see my old friend Altidiya with a lit cigarette in her mouth. She takes a puff before blowing in my direction. "Need a light." I nod as she holds out a lighter which I take. Lighting the cigarette I pass it back to her. She smiles at me as she continues to smoke. "So how is life within a corrupt capitalist society." I chuckle before responding. "It's not like under equestrian rule if that's what you were asking." She chuckles. "So tell me what you are doing back home." I look down as I say. "I made a mistake, the director wants me here as punishment." She moves closer to me as she says. "I'd hardly say seeing an old friend is punishment." I feel a tightness in my throat as I feel her move closer to me. "Yeah totally." is she flirting with me. she pushes me down into the snow. "same old Redwing, could never talk to a girl." I push myself back up as I fire back. "what happened to growing up." chuckling she responds. "what you still cant handle my teasing." brushing off the snow I saw a battalion commander approaching us. The commander salutes me before saying. "sir director walker has requested that you assist with the training of the 1st regional infantry battalion." I glanced at Altidiya before nodding. "lead the way commander." Altidiya follows both me and the commander as we head towards a formation of rebels. As we approach I see a griffin sergeant arguing with a soviet officer. "You are wasting, these troops are needed on the front now we do not have time for training." "i don't give a damn if you think your ponies are ready; they can barely fire a rifle for boreas's sake." I yell at the two and they turn their attention towards me. "cut it out, both of you." I glare at both of them before saying. "We need trained troops, yes, but we should not waste time on unnecessary experience, understand." the sergeant nods. "i'll get them all up to speed on shooting." "and don't bother training them with grenades we don't have enough to spare.” Numerous trucks come to a stop next to me and several logistics officers begin unloading large crates. The battalion commander with us yells at what we’d call fresh ponies. “All of you into lines.” The rebels began to form diagonal lines before the commander yelled at them. “Horizontal you twats.” After some time the rebels manage to get into somewhat straight lines before the commander yells. “Better now collect your rifle and ammunition and proceed to the training ground.” I turn to the commander. “I want these troops to finish basic training in six hours.” The commander nods. “I'll get them into shape sir.” Looking over my shoulder I notice Altidiya has left, I sigh before watching the rebels collect their weapons. I guess i'll talk to you later altidiya 7 hours later……. I walk through a trench line towards a forward lookout post. The lookout post was practically deserted except for a single artillery officer. The officer turns to me before looking back through his binoculars at something in the distance. “Sir.” I walk besides him noticing his somewhat confused look. “What is it?” The officer responds, not taking his attention off looking at it. “A quite large enemy force heading for us.” “Why haven't you sounded the alarm yet.” The officer gives me the binoculars before pointing towards a small pillar of dust in the distance. I take the binoculars before seeing a large force of guards followed by a small armored compliment, nothing out of the ordinary. “What about it.” The officer says. “Sir less than half that force has actual firearms.” I checked again and sure enough the majority of the force was armed with little more than spears and swords. “Maybe it's a lure.” I scan the surrounding countryside for any smaller forces but all I see is grass fields. “No sir there's nothing, for kilometers.” I look at the officer before saying. “Raise the alarm but I want to hold fire on a barrage.” (and now something i didn't want to do, time skipping) December 25 The battle begins The ear shattering sound of artillery guns shatters the blissful blizzard. The entire equestrian formation was enveloped into a mass of fireballs and explosions as I held my flare gun high in the air. I'd been given specific orders not to go on the offensive, but i knew if i let this opportunity escape me it might never present itself again. The shelling lasted less than five minutes before it ceased, I fired the flare into the sky above as our entire line surged forwards towards the enemy. I stepped aboard a truck which soared ahead to lead the charge. Peering through my binoculars I saw my enemy was in utter chaos, thousands of enemy troops were just fleeing to the south as our 30 or so tanks gave chase, what little of the enemy that tried to hold us back was overwhelmed in moments. And I wasn't willing to put a stop to this momentum, now was the time to be aggressive, and I know exactly where I should strike. December 26 Manehattan Manehattan, known for its valubility as a viable trading hub and strategic road junction, this proud city is now the newest target of the coalition's effort to end the war quickly. If this supply line is not cut the chances of a continued defense seem slim for the coalition. 1st tank battalion, 1st subarctic corps. commander Jenkins I stand on top of my prototype citadel tank as I look over my map of the area. I say into my commander's radio. “This is battalion commander Jenkins to all tanks.” “We are heading into a highly populated area, priority is to disable the supply line but try not to destroy the whole city, check fire and don't fire unless given the order.” My lead tank passes a road sign as I pull my binoculars out to have a look around. A whistling noise grows and a shell strikes my tank's front Armour. I yell into the radio as I scan the houses before spotting an enemy tank. “Enemy tank 300 meters left 12 degrees.” My tank turns towards the tank before firing its 2 pounder at the enemy tank which bursts into flames. I scan an apartment block before saying into my radio. “Bring up the infantry, we need them up here.” Columns of infantry jog up to my tank before I say to their officer. “Start clearing all these buildings near the road, just check your fire. We don't want civilians getting involved.” The infantry ran ahead and began breaking down doors as our armored elements moved at a reduced pace, with us watching the rooftops. As we made our way through the city we were quite on edge, we’d expected a large number of defenders in the city but there was little to stop our push through the city. My tank turns into the city square to be met with a wall of bullets. I hide behind the open hatch as I try to spot my attackers. Across the square was a large office building with multiple machine gun nests and a few anti tank gun positions. I bang on the side of the tank as I say to the radio operator. “Get the navy on the line.” “Admiral hunter here.” “This is commander Jenkins, we need immediate fire mission on enemy concentration, at grid 22 elevation 32 degrees, danger close.” “Alright keep your head down.” The distant sound of cannon fire echoes as a barrage of shells slam into the building sending a wall of dust and debris everywhere. As the dust begins to clear little more then rubble remains of the building. “Solid shooting that's all for now.” Driving into the square i radio command. “This is Jenkins sir, it appears that Equestria might have fled, we’ve reached the square without any serious resistance so far.” “This is director walker, evacuate all civilians and torch the city.” “Sir I was ordered by Redwing to capture the city intact.” “Orders changed, get it done commander.” Sighing, I relay the message to the other units. A day later………... The city of Manehattan was ablaze it looked more like a wildfire then a city on fire, coalition forces had left the city to burn, it however sent its intended message, war was going to make Equestria's citizens suffer, and they had no intention of suffering, as news spread large riots began to grow in major cities as war support plummeted, fear spread like wildfire as the thought of the coalition burning a city down proved they weren't planning on fighting like Gentlecolts. Within hours of this tragedy Princess Celestia fearing a war of attrition against the coalition sued for peace, after one decisive victory the equestrian military had been beaten back, hostilities would end shortly afterwards, though some believe the coalition should have pressed claims what’s done is done. Author's Note had to rush this chapter out sorry if it sucks, but its the best i could get so close to the deadline, maybe ill be able to wrap up this story after the contest ends maybe tell me if theres something you liked or dont like, this chapter kind of flip flopped all over the place. anyway stay safe hopefully its a good read, see you next time
