It'd been the end of the battle and the end of their worlds, the evil trio, that was, defeated once more by the elements never able to be understood. Stone had been the plan for the three but, in having those threats stuck together... Twilight Sparkle had come to think differently on the matter.
Tirek still earned the stone treatment.
Cozy was booked for eternity in Tartarus.
And Chrysalis found a lonely home on the moon.
But only the latter found attention still paid to by the new princess of the land.
Chrysalis found nothing on the moon beyond craters and caves and beginning insanity. Starvation had been an ill-fear for her desires were acquired in weekly shipments of synthetic love routinely sent in barrels. First they came sporadically apart, but, as time went by, they came higher in numbers—quicker so too.
And what else was she meant to do on that rock of nothingness? Snacking allowed her to do something, become immersed in an activity that will fill, causing her to feel good. Days passed when it was all she did. Eating and snacking and dining. Whatever it took for her mind to be occupied by something.
But that could only hold the depression of defeat and utter isolation for so long. She became feral. Lack of complexity reduced her to a creature of simplicity. Her eyes seared in light and the darkness of caves became her new friends. Lodged back in its recesses, growling and howling, becoming an animal putting on the weight.
The depths of caves, however, ceased to be helpful.
Even though it would be pointless and useless and all those kinds of stuff, and bearing more and more weight that every step was becoming a wobble, Chrysalis produced eggs inside her growing frame.
She wasn't fond of her children and would be betrayed—one way or some other—by them eventually. But those risks didn't seem to matter now, likes or dislikes, on that horrible moon. So long as she could keep stuffing her face and have a few critters to mock, then maybe, just maybe, she'd come out of this okay.
And those eggs came out... not okay.
Perhaps it'd been her weight passing onto them, but as she kept the roundness of her frame, a plumpness expanding day by day, the same kept true of her kids, round with faces shrunk into the globes of their being. Each fat and slow and greedy and needy.
All of this, continuing and worsening, that was, until, the amazonian Twilight Sparkle had come to pay her a visit. It's been the first sense of footsteps on the moon, powerful in impact not from tons of fatness compounding the weight of the best, but rather, of a strong, busty physique. Truly a superior queen even to the eye.
Forget about it.
What more could Chrysalis do in that horrible state of defeat and the worsening of her physique? There was no coming back in either regard as all power had been stripped from her being. But that hadn't been enough for Twilight. Not at all. It wasn't enough for the hivemind to lose some of her power and the swarm that had been her personal army.
She needed to be made weak. Powerless. A literal shell of who she once was. In the chilly dimness of the cave, far to its back, that had become her new home. No longer working from the shadows but existing within it.
But at least the food had been good.
The bloated changeling had collapsed near the wall, coming to settle in the mass of her stomach, itself a hot-air balloon. Her legs barely reached the ground despite the greatness of girth bestowed to each. Chrysalis could be considered an air-castle to play and jump and rock forward and back on.
Enough of her children had tried playing on her like so.
The only thing bestowing hope was the periodical barrels sent from the planet itself. Thick and full of sludge. The tasty kind, extremely unhealthy, but far too delicious in consuming for any to worry about that fact.
And it was hard to worry for anything, once defeated, because no longer was there hope for more.
But that dial in the steel evoked a different kind of hope. Maybe not hope but comfort that existed within itself. Diving her muzzle into the dial and rotating it, the mechanism clicked to a hole. Inside was a lake of rich black, the length of her tongue dipping down, the creamy heft of the substance melting onto her tongue.
Its taste the deepest texture of chocolate.
She slurped it and then did so again, over and over, as though a dog at a bowl, unable to get enough. It shamed her in every inch deeper she tried to fit, the chubbiness of her cheeks unable to squeeze through. The greatness of her arms, despite all the mass and the fat across them, could not dare to hold such a barrel.
Rather came the struggles to lay it standing, which she could hardly do on her own, holding onto the barrel for life. It helped that her weight tilted it back, allowing herself to drink the substance, the taste exploding in coating inside of her mouth. It carried down her throat in thick bulges, each one coming to jiggle the flesh there.
The slurps were loud and everything echoed on the moon.
But the bigger and fatter the former queen became, the harder it came to devour those barrels, forced to find new ways of enjoying them. One such way was through a crack in the ceiling of the cave. One of her children had been instructed to push it all the way to the top and, in doing so, have the hole open over the crack.
From there but directly below, that was how Chrysalis would lay, mouth open and eyes closed, allowing the stream, always steady, pouring into her mouth. It never closed as she swallowed with it open.
Sometimes it would shift and it would gather on the swells of her cheeks. But she could chuckle, the laugh rippling across her obesity, wobbling it all. Easily she could knock out a barrel in a day. But on the depressing ones were the days she took two.
Chrysalis didn't want to. Hardly did she leave her cave. But in staring to the planet so very far away, now surrounded by children, ugly and dumb, fat and round, happy, always, in a special kind of way—it was those moments that caused her to reflect.
To think.
And neither was kind.
About all those plans and battles and years of building only for everything to crumble. To be so tall and lean and powerful to now be so short and chubby and weak. Hardly could she walk. Help was needed from her children to reach the outside of the cave or to roll in the barrels.
Hardly could she even eat from it either. She was lucky her children couldn't think for themselves for, if they could, perhaps that would be the only way she starved. Despite their hungry days, the barrels were rolled in anyways, a drip or two for their efforts.
Rarely more for them.
Something about that was appeasing in her own right. Even though her carapace barely stuck to her, the changeling enjoyed the view of being more, bigger, consuming more space. It was an odd tickle in the head for that regard.
No longer could her hive or herself ever strive to consume a kingdom with their presence. But what of this place? This cave. All she had to do was eat more, filling out, expanding, fat attaching to everything. Soon she would bloat and soon more would be required to encompass her.
That had been one of her desires. Somehow it was a weird sense of showing Twilight up. Having the princess show up to see all that food, chocolatey fudge, gone to one. So put to waste and barely there in terms of consciousness.
Rather the desire was to expand as to have her fat pushing on the walls, the mass of her frame reaching the back of the cave, ending at its entrance, nothing but a bloated thing spanning through it all. How plump and broad she was now. Stagnant and barely able to move.
Another barrel meant more of the cave would be consumed to house her. Nothing else could be hoped or desired. Depression of what had been lost sent her to the barrels. Eating and moaning at the taste in the easy adding of pound after pound. It didn't make the thoughts or the pain go away.
Rather pleasure rose on the other side of them. Not by much. Those doubts still whispered through. Depending on the amount of the goodness enjoyed, that pleasure touched a little higher. In a streak, a flow state of eating, sometimes the immersion of slurping caused all the badness to go away.
And the high at the back of the mind was pleased by that richer than rich taste.
This was the fate that Chrysalis had found herself in throughout her time on the moon.
Twilight Sparkle hadn't been sure how her plan would have turned out. She became aware of the contained infestation of dark changelings on the moon and, upon zapping to its surface, was mildly horrified at what she found.
The curved landscape was littered with fat little changelings barely sprouting legs from the tubs of their bodies. Fully bloated to the point of keeping still as they were scattered apart. Be it slowness or fatness, they seemed there but not there, wanting to move but unable to do so.
Some, however, were not like this.
Either it was extreme fatness or skinniness on here. Children zoomed in the spaces in-between their fatter counterparts. Each fighting and nipping at each other, some rolling on top of the barrels sent, the last one, winning, getting a drop inside that'd been missed from their mother.
Some must have gotten lucky in getting those barrels first.
Others not so much.
Twilight was forced to lean forward to see over her chest, another changeling on the ground far beneath her, curled in the space in-between her feet. With a frown, she scooped him up, resting him against her chest, rocking him, to his adorable yawning.
"C'mon," she said with a smile, cradling him, taking a step forward. "Let's go find your mommy, okay?"
Twilight had to wander and wonder for no longer than a few moments, the field of fat and stationary children, interspersed with the barren barrel of once dense love, leading to a cave higher and greater than any before.
Her glowing horn illuminated the space within. It was filthy with barrels stacked to the ceiling and children stockpiled on top of each other. Hungry munching sounds came deeper inside the place. Scoffing of delicious treats to someone who deeply enjoyed them.
Twilight found Chrysalis at the back of the cave.
Chrysalis was grotesquely fat and bloated to every aspect of her massive frame. Her one tight barrel was now utterly expanded to a degree of a plump cherry. Lithe legs and feet, arms and hands, found themselves broad in fullness with flabs sinking from their sides. Her face had retreated into the mass of her body and lost most of its details. Her mouth and eyes were the only things different from the rest of the weight that affected her.
But her carapace was still undersized and, from the constant weight always against it, was also incredibly tight. The love mixture Twilight's government sent up to the moon is mixed with stuff like protein powder and lard to make Chrysalis and her nymphs more 'full' and docile.
Chrysalis, in her depression and isolation, had compulsively gorged. It wrecked her signature tapered figure and rendered her into an utter humiliation that killed the personality she'd once been. As punishment for how much she'd fallen, however, it seemed to fit the former queen nicely.
"So this is what became of you, huh?" Twilight said with a growl and a narrowed expression, turning and leaning from her great height, setting the child on the ground next to her. It scampered and limped to a barrel, leaning inside the hole torn through metal, delicate sounds of weak lapping at the substance within. "Sent a surplus of food so you'd never have to fear you or your kind starving. That was always your greatest excuse. But it seems your apparent 'care' for your children was always a cop-out... wasn't it?"
Chrysalis's head was tucked inside a barrel all the way, drinking in the chocolaty sludge to its creamy delight, pulling out, seconds later, with a wide spread of the stuff across her bloated cheeks. "Save your talks on morals. I've already lost it. Hollow satisfaction is my last recess in this hell—I care for nothing else."
"You could aspire to be more."
“I already am more.” Chrysalis mocked Twilight's expression and licked the spread that had coated her face. "Save your preaching for your ponies. My kind here will continue the same as it had before your interruption. Beat it. Leave. You've got nothing here you can lord over me."
Her head went to tuck inside the filled cavity of the barrel once more. "You can't beat someone who has given up on everything."
"That so?"
"Indeed."
"Allow me to prove you wrong for the umpteenth time."
Twilight walked over in thunderous steps teeming with power. It cracked the surface of the rock from the strength of her being, a chiselled abdomen always exposed, fatness coming, of course, only in terms of her chest and her ass. She walked to the side of the fat bug, who couldn't move nor wobble away, forced to endure whatever this powerful stranger then craved.
And that, it appeared, was to lay a hand on her carapace, just a single one and, in a pull, yank the cocoon cleanly off. Fat had been trying to slip through all this time and now, with nothing holding it back, the fatness spilled free all around, the plumpness falling and wobbling from the momentum, jostling away the motion, quivers of a jiggle until everything laid refreshingly free from the tightness of the once confines.
There'd been something oddly freeing about it. All that weight mounting immense pressure against the tightness of that hardness. To have it free, that fat finally exposed, no longer bunched together but fully exposed. Even though it killed the queen, something about being free, as it should so easily be assumed, was freeing in a sense and a feeling.

Chrysalis felt as though she'd been exposed butt naked, in her excessive fatness and bloating, shooting her head upward. Strange sounds and calls echoed from her maw. Those around and still able to move charged her at once but, as they dog-piled her, leaving her covered as wish—they drained the love she greedily kept all to herself.
She then screamed for Twilight's help after that.
Who gave only a dry little smirk.
Her little visit to the massive changeling had changed everything. Twilight had taken a keen interest in what had transpired to the former queen of them all. Seeing how they came to be in their isolation had strangely tickled her. So much so it could for a little experiment to see how things would work out.
The moon had since been transformed into a sanctuary and reserve to preserve the dark changeling population. Scientists and researchers and caregivers from the earth, changelings too, to help run the place and monitor its activity.
Chrysalis and her children were collared with shock collars and ear-tagged for the sake of the system and were, sometimes, nearly viewed as cattle in regard. The hatchlings adhered to a daily schedule, eating X amount of food and forced to play and roam in their pins. Walking their area and reaching for the sky and smelling flowers, getting exercise and sufficient sleep.
They were spoiled and coddled by their caregivers to the point of becoming dependent and docile.
Chrysalis, however, did not receive the same luxuries. Incredibly overweight and vulnerable since her carapace hadn't grown over the glob of her fatness. She'd been confined to her private cell, a dark, spacious room dripping with slime to resemble her natural habitat.
Her obesity didn't allow her to move, always growing bigger and filling more of the tightness of the cave, forced to take whatever happened to her. There was a large hose fixed uncomfortably into her rump so that, each time an egg was laid, it was sent to the nursery. Pumps were hooked to her engorged breasts to pump her for milk.
Lessons not learned had their morals forced on the unwilling.
There was a sound of light suction to everything, a constant humming of machinery, a gushing of milk as it was sucked and pumped from those obese breasts, a loud vibration as an egg was pulled and plucked and shot through the chamber of the hose.
It'd taken great effort to get her hooked up, not because she could fight or struggle, but rather, getting her weight here to begin with. Not wanting to change the magical exertion required to teleport such a being, she was moved, on a sheet of metal, rolling onto it and hoisted by dozens, each switching out with another pair after a few steps.
It wasn't the smartest way to work, but it was the means they found, to say the least.
Chrysalis laid on her stomach for that was all she could do. Standing—much less walking—were pipe dreams of the past. In fact the barrels of arms and legs were the size of construction pipes now. So bloated and full-over that lifting them was a chore.
It mocked her mind to be like this. So big and so fat and so addicted to food. Nothing but cattle fed and used and looked at from a distance. She ceased to be anything of her former self. Blob described her best. Every now and again, an egg stretched her on release, pushed through the tube, taken to freedom.
Then there was the matter of her caretaker.
"Well, howdy there! How are we feeling today?" The last thing her bloated could still do was roll its eyes. Chrysalis remained stationary as the unicorn entered the pin, the clatter of the bar gates behind her. The bug did her best to shift and jut herself away—to no avail. "Aw shucks. Trying the escape routine are ya? However will I catch ya if you move so quickly to the corner of the room?"
Chrysalis kept still as the unicorn came to her side. She hated the goodness of those hooves settling on her neck, soft fur across the bloated expanse, feeling the curves of the fat, sinking it, scratching at all those good spots to the jiggling of the flesh. "Reckon we can get an early start on your routine? Sooner it starts, quicker it ends, and you can be your mopey self in peace."
Chrysalis knew there was no beating this. Gone from being a lithe foe to a fat blob with her greatest threat being a unicorn who desired to take care of her. The unicorn went to the corner of the room. There she pulled a showerhead from behind a locked case.
"Time to enjoy the morning wash!"
Chrysalis closed her eyes at feeling the coolness of water splash over her frame. She was such a beast that a near fire-hose was required to wash her down. The expanse of her side required washing, a little roll away to expose her underside, so vast and fat, needing tighter pressure to clean.
After being walked around and hosed down, the head was fixed back into place, locked, in fear for what could occur were it not. The unicorn had no problem climbing the side of Chrysalis, crawling over the thick swell of her side, the fat swishing beneath her legs, hoisting her up as she sunk into it. Once on the back, however, her legs spread over the side, leaning forward, hooves against the spine, proceeding with the massage.
Chrysalis wasn't sure how to feel in having the body of another cover her expanded side. Thighs and legs were draped as far down her sides as they could go. Two ponies could easily lie on her back. Those hooves had to jiggle the fatty layer below her skin to reach the legitimate muscles below.
But after plenty of searching, however, she was able to find and pop her kinks with ease. After massaging her neck and travelling down her spine—hooves wandering the mass of her ass rather too easily—before her tense muscles had been relaxed.
"There we go! Feeling all nice and calm now, aren't ya?" The mare slid off her side and gave it a playful pat. "Aren't you a lucky one? No working or that nonsense. Just allowed to get big and fat and pampered." She ducked to the thickest swell of the bloated belly where the eggs laid. "You all grow to be big and strong. Your mommy is eating an awful lot to make sure of that!"
Chrysalis was already depressed before the next line. "Speaking about eating! Time ta do your favourite thing in the world!"
The unicorn went to another corner of the room and slammed a button, something heavy dropping within a chamber, the door to it, lifting, a metallic sheet out of the way. Barrel fell forward from the cavity. Chrysalis perked up at the snacking. The unicorn pushed it over to her bulky form.
"What are ya waiting for?" The unicorn pushed on the latch for the barrel and pulled back the panel—revealing the chocolate sludge within. Chrysalis grimaced as she looked at it but, in seeing it slosh around... knew there was no fighting it. "Dig yer snout in, girl! Gotta keep 'em kids full, don't ya?"
Chrysalis dipped her muzzle into the sludge, lapping at it like a dog might, not caring for its splashes on the tip of her snout or across her cheeks. Rather she slurped and filled the cavern of her maw, swishing and swallowing, devouring barrels for mere meals.
All of this while the unicorn came to her side. She stroked the side of her neck, something pushing on the lumps of her throat. Perhaps the caregiver earned a kick from ushering food down the throat in knowing it was going to reach that cavern of a belly. Too many rubs and tickles and massages to be keeping to some routine.
The barrel was done in moments and, after being drained, the queen's head lifted out of it. Barely managing to lift her hand, she beat it to the side and out of the way. The caregiver removed it at once and, for the moment, they kept there, in this horrible state, simply drinking in the horror.
"Remember today is playtime with your hatched kids today—always good for them to see their mother at least once a week." The unicorn came underneath her massive form, tickling at the present chin, drinking in all the jiggles. "Be nice to them. We don't want to be using that nasty shock collar on you today—do we?"
There was a knock on the glass.
On the other side of the chamber was the hall leading in-between all the closures. Twilight Sparkle stood tall on the other side, still as busty as ever, holding her student next to her waist. Luster Dawn apparently had been her name.
How the horrible cycle then continued.
"And this is Chrysalis, mother of the changelings!" Twilight said in a beaming smile. "As you can see, we need her to keep the darker kind alive. So we feed her enough and keep her on the brink of obesity to ensure her children are always born feeling full! See that hose at the back? That's to ensure we get her eggs as soon as possible for better care. It's an interesting system we'll be breaking down later. But this is, so far, our most optimist version of the process."
Luster Dawn bore a grossed out expression.
Was this Chrysalis fate? To chug chocolate lard to the degree of being unable to move? Shown off like an attraction at the zoo for the amusement of passing ponies? To indulge in humiliation and depression as Twilight Sparkle showed off her victories over her again and again?
Even if that was the case, there was nothing to be done, hollow joys of food, that spark at the back of the head, the filling of emptiness lasting moments in a day. Always so hungry and needing to fill the vacuum within. No amount of food could make her feel filled. Yet she ate, anyway, in the attempt of it.
"Do not worry," Twilight continued. "Despite her looks and history, the queen is harmless and docile."
To demonstrate her point, the two teleported, in a flash of violet, inside of the chamber. Twilight towered over the fat bug with a grin speaking of their past together. Taking a cue, the caregiver stepped before the student—holding something in her hoof.
"Take this, doll." Luster took the pellets with a turn of her head. "Her favourite treat. Gets 'em when she behaves well enough." The unicorn nodded to the fat blob. "Why don't you try offering some ta her now?"
Chrysalis knew better than to give trouble. The student approached her and, offering a hoof with the pellets, the queen leaned down and gobbled them up. She even lightly nuzzled the hand in a show of thanks for the act. Her reward for going through on this was a funnel lowering from the ceiling, more of the chocolate-love guzzled into her mouth, expanding her throat, the sweetness filling the dome of her belly.
The unicorn stroked the side of her face the whole while.
"See? Chrysalis is just a big kitty cat." Twilight beamed as she strolled to the other side of the bug. She stroked the puffy cheek of the face, running her hand down the bulk of her frame, that was, delivering a hard smack to the expanse of that bloated ass. "Sexual activities of a queen will be another interesting subject to discuss."
Twilight had to bite on her bottom lip to suppress mounting that mountainous rump.
The two then left seconds later. But not without Twilight giving a look that said later.
Chrysalis resigned herself to her fate. Her and her children were nothing but glamorized zoo animals for others to stare at in morbid fascination. She could barely sigh before a gasp came from the caregiver. "That's right! Playtime with your darlings begins now, doesn't it?"
Her eyes widened at the news.
At opening the gate at the back of the cell, a horde of children charged at their mommy, a complete mounting of her body. They devoured her love and pulled on her hair and hung over her muzzle. In their terribleness, the caregiver took a photo, something to hand off to the future of the present state of this bug.
