Prologue
A young pony colt wearing a Time Lord robe is rapidly moving around a Tardis console with sparks, flames, and explosions flying everywhere. He is trying to get the Tardis to land after he regenerated.

The Tardis, that’s disguised as a hot air balloon, is now on a planet flying through the sky and crashes through the tip of a snow-covered mountain. The impact shakes the interior that causes the occupant to hit a lever that unlocks and opens the door and also causes him to stumble and fall out the door. Thankfully the Tardis had passed through the mountain peak by then.
The young pony is now dangling from the Tardis holding on by his gifted magical fingers. His scared emotions clouded his thoughts that prevented him from thinking straight that had also caused him to be in his current situation.
The Tardis was now heading towards a town made entirely out of crystals. This was known as the Crystal Empire by the locals. The Tardis unfortunately wasn’t flying high enough to clear the huge Crystal Palace in the middle of the town so the Tardis hit a big portion of the spiked tip of the palace making a loud BANG!!!
The impact caused the young pony to let go of his grip on the Tardis causing him to smack his face and body flat on the side of the Crystal Palace causing a crack in the lens on his cyborg eye that covered his left eye. He slid down the palace for a few feet making this sound.

The spike cracked where it had been hit giving a loud creaking sound. The Tardis ran up the spike as it fell making a loud scraping sound causing the spike to fling into the setting sun in the West making a fwoo fwoo fwoo sound. It flipped in the air for several feet and landed on it’s tip with a skew like a dart sound then fell over with a loud thud. It laid with the fat part facing the setting sun and its tip facing the Empire. The Tardis then flew off into the setting sun but the Tardis had automatically closed its doors as it had scraped against the spike of the Empire.
The colt then launched off the tip and tumbled backwards the rest of the way down and landed on the outer side of one of the pillars on the east side of the palace. He laid there in this position but his legs were in a lying position.
As he laid there he finally broke down and started to cry but very softly. He cried about all the horrors that he saw for the past few months; He cried that he was away from his family even though they gave him their blessing for running away from his fearful memories; He cried that he lost his father’s type 75 refuge Tardis and might never find it again and go home; He cried for all the pain that he was in both physical and mental; He cried that he didn’t know where he was and he especially cried he had no one to comfort him.
A few minutes ago…
A married pony couple were talking to each other in the living room in the Crystal Palace. It was around 6 PM on July 7 th, (sometime after the end of season 4), so it will be a while before they turned in for the night. The pony couple was Shining Armor and Princess Cadence. Then they heard a loud BANG from above them. Followed by a creek, a scrap, and a loud thud.
“WAHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHH HA HA!!!” Cried Flurry Heart from her room.
“What was that!?” Cried Cadence.
“It sounded like something hit the Crystal Tower,” replied Shining Armor. “I’ll take a few guards and go out and investigate. While you calm down Flurry Heart.”
Cadence simply nodded and ran off to calm Flurry Heart while Shining Armor put on his armor. He then rallied up a few guards and set off to investigate the loud noises.
A few minutes later Cadence was able to calm down Flurry Heart and put her back to bed. She exited the nursery and closed the door behind her and headed back to the living room to wait for Shining Armor. After waiting for 5 minutes she decided to go out and do some investigating herself.
As she exited the palace doors two guards walked up to her. “Your majesty what are you doing out here?” One asked.
“I decided to do some investigating of my own.” She replied. “Has my husband discovered anything unusual?”
“Yes,” replied the other. “Some pegasi scouted the skies to find part of the tip of the palace to be broken. We’ve discovered the broken portion of the palace in a field in the west. We were ordered to come back to the palace to fetch more Pegasi and supplies to fix the broken portion of the palace.”
“So we have everything under control right now.” Said the first guard.
“Well then I’ll leave you two to it then and just have a look around.” Said Cadence giving a soft smile.
“Of course your majesty.” Replied the second guard.
After the guards had walked back into the palace to get some supplies Cadence took notice of a soft whimpering sound. She looked around trying to find the source. When she looked around the corner of the Crystal Palace to her right she discovered the noise coming from a small orange colt, with red stripes along his face, hooves, and also in his mane but a lighter shade. He was wearing a red robe, a strange yellow neck brace, and strange black fingers on his hooves. She was only able to see his right eye that was closed and had tears coming out of it, the other one being around the corner. Her motherly and foalsitter instincts soon kicked in telling her that she should try to comfort the small orange colt.
“Hey little guy,” she said in a soft sweet voice trying to get the colt's attention, “why are you crying?”
The colt, hearing a soft voice, stopped his crying for a moment and slowly opened his eyes. He then saw a pink mare with wings AND a horn. His eyes widened at this and became really nervous. He never saw a pony with wings and a horn before. Unsure what to do he got up and hid himself around the rest of the corner.
Cadence, seeing the colt was a little nervous, tried to give some comforting words. “It’s okay little one I won’t hurt you. You can come out.”
The colt only poked his right eye around the corner to look at the mare.
Cadence tried encouraging the colt again. “It’s okay there’s no need to be afraid.”
With that the colt finally slowly came around the corner with his head down. Cadence then briefly noticed that the colt also had a pair of orange wings. When he was finally in front of Cadence he shyly lifted his head up to look at the kind mare. Cadence lifted her right front hoof up slightly and gasped in surprise. On the colt’s left eye was a red cyborg eye piece that had a small crack on the lense.
“He must have had something to do with those loud noises.” She thought to herself. She then saw the colt splay his ears back and gave a sad expression as he tilted his head down. Seeing the colt’s sad expression she brought her right hoof underneath his chin and lifted his head up. She was going to put her hoof around his neck but his neck brace seemed to restrict that.
“It’s alright little one. I didn’t mean to upset you. You just…surprised me that’s all.” Cadence reassured. The colt, feeling a little better, then ran up to her left front leg, wrapped his body around it, rested his right check against her leg, and hugged the kind mare, still a bit shakenned up.
After getting over her initial shock, Cadence simply sat down and wrapped her other hoof around the colt and hugged the colt back running her hoof up and down his back trying to comfort him.
A few minutes later, the colt seemed to calm down and stopped shaking. Cadence then leaned in closer to his ear and asked him softly, “Are you feeling better?”
The colt looked up at Cadence and simply nodded his head a little.
Cadence smiled at him reassuringly. By then the night chill started to blow around them and they both started to feel cold. The colt hugged Cadence’s leg a little tighter.
“Would you like to come into the palace with me?” She asked him. “It’s starting to get a little cold out here.”
The colt nodded his head and Cadence removed her right hoof from his back and stood up. The colt then released his hold on Cadence’s leg and took his right hoof and wiped away his tears, from his right eye onto his sleeve, then stood up as well. Cadence then walked to the steps leading up to the palace door with the colt following just behind. As soon as they got to the steps the colt stood beside Cadence on her left side as they walked up the steps.
When they got to the palace door, Cadence opens the door with her magic. As her horn lights up, the colt gives a small scream and runs back down the stairs and hides himself behind the railing that they passed.
Cadence’s horn stops glowing and she turns her head to the left to where the colt went and gives a confused expression. She ponders what could have scared the colt for a while.
“Perhaps,” she thought, “this colt is afraid of magic. I mean he was afraid of me at first and was only frightened when I held the door with my magic. I’ll probably have to test this later but first I need to calm the colt down again and get him in the palace.”
Cadence then went down the stairs and looked down at the colt. The colt was laying down on his belly with his head down and covered by his hooves while he was shaking. Once again Cadence stood in front of the colt and tried to calm the colt down.
“Are you alright little colt?” Cadence asked, “I didn’t mean to scare you.” When the colt didn’t respond Cadence laid down in front of the colt, wrapped her left hoof around him, and once more started stroking his back this time with her left hoof.
Eventually the colt calmed down, but by then the sun completely went down. At this point the colt was really tired and had his head laying down on his right hoof.
When Cadence noticed this she spoke softly to the colt. “Can I pick you up now, and carry you on my back, so I can bring you into the palace?” The colt made a noise of agreement so Cadence picked him up with her hooves and placed him on her back. She then stood up and headed up the stairs once more. When she got to the palace door she used her hooves to open the door this time.
When they got into the palace, Cadence decides to bring the colt into her bedroom that she shares with her husband, in case the colt needed to be comforted again. She took the colt off her back and laid the colt down with his belly on the bed.
“You can rest here,” she told the colt. “Try and make yourself comfortable. I’ll be right back.” Cadence then left the room leaving the door slightly ajar and walked down the hall to wait for her husband to return and to tell him of the colt she found.
It wasn’t until 1 AM that her husband returned to find her in the living room waiting for him.
“So how did it go?” she asked.
“Not well,” he replied, “we found out there has been some damage to the Crystal Palace that will take a few months to repair, maybe even a year.”
“Oh dear,” Cadence exclaimed.
“We still aren’t sure yet what caused the damage.”
“Well I might have a theory,” Cadence replied sheepishly rubbing the back of her neck with her right hoof, “to who might have caused it.”
“How so?” Shining asked.
“Well after I calmed Flurry Heart down,” Cadence replied, “I came back here to wait for you. After a while I got tired of waiting and decided to do some investigating of my own. As I left the palace, two guards told me of the situation and then I decided to have a look around. After they left I found a small colt crying by one of the pillars.”
“Wait,” Shining interrupted, shaking his head. “We searched around the palace and didn’t find anypony. How did you find a colt by one of the Crystal pillars?”
Cadence shrugs, “I don’t know. He wasn’t that hard to find once I heard him crying. Anyways after I calmed him down he seemed pretty tired so I brought him to our room so he could rest.”
“YOU LET A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PONY INTO THE CASTLE?!!” Shining screamed.
“He’s not dangerous! He’s just a foal!”
“You don’t know that and of all the rooms in the Palace why did you bring him to our room?!!” Shining asked. “You could have brought him to an empty guest room. I mean we have plenty.”
“Well I had to calm him down a few times and each time took a while. I wanted to be next to him if I needed to calm him down again.” Cadence said.
“Or maybe he was trying to get you to feel sorry for him!” Shining argued.
“No he was scared when I approached him,” Cadence argued back, “I had to talk him into coming out!! He also seemed to have some injuries because he had this weird metal eye piece and it had a crack on the lense.”
“How do we know that it’s not a weapon!!” Shining screamed.
“Hey, he never appeared hostile!!” Cadence shouted. “All I saw was a scared little colt that needed to be comforted!!”
“HOW DO YOU KNOW! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIM!!!” Shining iterated.
Cadence sighed, “It’s very late,” she argued back. “I’ll interview him in the morning and also take him to the doctor for a checkup.”
Shining sighed, “Fine, your right it is getting late. I guess we can take care of it in the morning.”
Cadence took a deep breath and also sighed, “Yes we can worry about it in the morning. Let’s get a good night's sleep. It’s been a long day.”
With that settled for now they decided to turn in for the night.
Meanwhile after Cadence left the bedroom the colt got off the bed and took off his neck brace and robe and laid it on a chair in the room which was Cadence’s chair that she sits on to put on her makeup. The colt, now only wearing a red short sleeve undershirt and long red pants, got into bed and went under the covers. He laid his right cheek against the pillow and went to sleep.
After a while Cadence and Shining Armor came up to the bedroom door and peaked in.
“See he’s perfectly harmless,” whispered Cadence.
“We still don’t know that! He might just be waiting for a perfect time to strike,” whispered Shining. “I mean that metal piece over his eye looks pretty scary and dangerous.”
“If you don’t want to be near him you can go sleep in one of the other rooms!!” Cadence argued.
“And leave you alone and vulnerable!” Shining argued back, “I don’t think so. I’ll be fine.”
“Alright fine,” she said entering the room, “just don’t wake him! I had a hard enough time trying to comfort him and get him to settle down.”
So Cadence and Shining Armor went into their bedroom and got ready for bed. Shining took off his armor and Cadence took off her crown and shoes. After brushing their teeth, Cadence lifted up the covers and was careful while crawling over the colt. She laid down while Shining laid down next to her and they pulled up the covers.
“Goodnight Cadence,” said Shining, giving her a kiss.
“Goodnight Shining,” she said, kissing him back.
As soon as Shining Armour fell asleep Cadence rolled over to look at the colt.
“Who are you?” She wondered to herself as she fell asleep.
