Chapters Prologue: City Of The Dead
"What the fuck...!?" A man grabbed his chest as he looked around and saw that he was in a pitch black convenience store. He could hear low, animalistic grunts and what sounded like… a horse? This was one of our protagonists, Marcus. And he is in one strange predicament right now. He thought he went to bed after getting some food from the grill, but now he is in a gas station and god knows where and it looked like it was just abandoned yesterday. He looks to his left to see a flashlight and picks it up.
"No one's around?" He said confused until he heard shuffling and a groan from what seemed to be a storage closet. He approached it and opened it slowly only for a fist to come in contact with his jaw. He staggered back as he then looked up to see a mare with blue hair and dark blue fur. She had a horn on her head and wings on her back and a muzzle. She was about to strike him again until he grabbed her hand.
“Let go vile beast!” She yelled at him with an impossibly loud voice.
“Hold on, what are you?” he said as he let her go. She grabbed her wrist and snarled at him. This is our second protagonist, Luna. After Discord decided to play a prank on her and send her to another world. They both looked at each other for a brief amount of time, until something caught both of their attention. A foul stench.
“Do you smell that?”
“Indeed, what is that stench?” He sniffs under his armpit and verifies it wasn't him. They both tracked down the stench until they came to another room. What they saw terrified them both. The sound of chewing was heard as a police officer laid on the ground, being eaten by a rotting, grotesque, and downright terrifying being. It looks up at the both of them with its glossy eyes as it groaned. It got up and staggered towards them as Marcus made his first move. Now he might be a bit of a coward, but he ain't no coward to zombies. He kicked it in its face and headed to the police officer’s gun and saw it was a Desert Eagle 50A.E. He pulled back the slide, saw a chambered round before ejecting the magazine and finding it to be shy three rounds of nine. He then saw the zombie heading for Luna as she was paralyzed and terror was visible on her face.
“Get down!” He said as she ducked. He shot the thing in the head as Brain matter splattered everywhere as he then shot the officer in the head. He did not need another one to kill and he remembered something from his own sister. Double tap and save bullets.
“Thank you monkey.” Luna said as Marcus' mind raced as he looked at her offended.
‘AW HELL NAW!’ Marcus thought to himself.
“I’m actually a human but a highly evolved ape. My name is Marcus. Yours?” He asked as he stuck out his hand for a handshake. She shook his hand with an impossibly tight grip and shook his hand.
“My name is Luna. Where are we?” She asked as he shrugged. Suddenly, zombies started to bang on the window as he then looked around as he grabbed her hand and ran.
“C’mon this way!” He said as they raced to the entrance. One zombie grabbed his arm as he then elbowed it in the face and ran to a cop car. They both got in as the zombies slowly stumbled towards the vehicle.
“What are those horrid things!?” Luna yelled as they started to swarm the vehicle. He then found the keys and started up the car and drove out of there.
“Those miss, are zombies. Re animated corpses of humans that have an insatiable appetite for flesh.” He explained. He then saw a city along with a sign. He then squinted until he gotten closer it read:
WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY.
HOME OF UMBRELLA
Suddenly, it all started to make sense. He then started to sweat. If there's zombies, there's the Lickers, Hunters, and Mr.X.
“Ah shit umbrella.” Luna looked confused at him.
“Attention all citizens. Due to the citywide outbreak, you are advised to take shelter at the Raccoon City police station. Free food and medical supplies will be provided to everyone in need.” An announcer said over speakers. The whole entire city was empty and dark as cars littered the streets.
“So, where did you come from? I know you are not from this world, and neither am I”
“I come from Equestria. And somehow Discord sent me here as a practical joke.” She looked a bit angry at the last part. He then stopped the car because of cars blocking the way to the police station.
“Well it looks like we’ll have to climb over those cars.” He gets out of the car as Luna does the same. He then climbed on top of the car and stretched out his hand to help Luna. she looked at his hand for a moment before grabbing it. They then both approached the police station. He closed the gate behind him.
“Why did you close it?” Luna asked.
“Do you want your backmeat munched on by the zombies?” She shakes her head “Well there's your answer.”
They then approached the police station as they both had stopped at the door and looked at each other. They both knew that there was no turning back. He then opened the door as he then scanned the area, checking for zombies. He then signified her to come in. He got some herbs, first aid spray, and some ammo. Luna followed him to a mechanical garage door. He then popped in a fuse as he then pressed the button. As he expected, it stopped midway.
“Luna stay here”
“Why?” She asked.
“Well i don’t know what's beyond and I don't want you to get hurt. And besides, you don't have a gun.” Luna looked confused.
“I have magic.” Her horn lit up but then sputtered out and died. “I-I can't use my magic!”
“Like I said, I don't want your pretty face to get hurt.” Her eyes widened a bit as a blush was barely visible.
“You think I'm pretty?” Marcus nodded as he then crawled under the garage door. Luna then sat down and looked around. Only one thing came to mind:
‘I’m going to kill discord when I get back.’
Raccoon City Police Department Part 2
Luna was seen on the couch, sleeping until she was woken up by a sound. Like some concrete scraping. She walked over to where the sound was, gun in hand as she then came to see Marcus. And he had somehow unveiled a bit of the secret passageway. She looked curious, and what's more curious was her wound didn't hurt at all. He stitched it up somehow and sealed it with first aid spray. That spray works wonders. Anyway, he walked over and smiled proudly.
“I only have two more things to get before we are out of this damn building.” He said confidentiality as Luna giggled a little. Then they were both startled by a sound of:
“Movement detected in east hallway.” A computer said in a robotic voice. Luna and Marcus walked over to the computer and saw a tall man with grey skin, a trench coat, and a top hat. Oh shit it's Mr.X! He walked up to the camera and looked at it for five seconds before punching the camera, resulting in the camera to break and the screen shows now only static as Marcus then heard heavy footsteps approaching. His eyes widened as one of the doors swung open.
“Fuckballs…” Marcus muttered as Luna decided to fight the tyrant. He then speed walked to Luna as he tried to punch her, but in result, she grabbed his fist and delivered a punch to its stomach sending it back two feet as it ran at her. She smirked as she hit it in the face and knocked its top hat off. That got Mr.X mad. He charged at Luna only for her to knock him back with so much force, a tiny little shockwave of pure force was seen. Mr.X was down like a light as Marcus looked shocked as she walked over to him.
‘I think my pants exploded,’ he looked inside his pants ‘yup definitely exploded.’ She looked at him confused as he explained that the tyrant and the zombies were created by umbrella and that the tyrant can punch through solid brick and other things. She shrugs it off but acknowledged only one thing:
“They did this? Why?!” She yelled as he covered her ears. Damn she was loud!
“You see, even though I’m not from here, I know that when they tried to collect the G-virus, a man named William Birkin did not want to give away his life’s work, and in result, they shot him dead… or so they thought. He was fatally wounded and with the sample of the G-virus, he injected himself and became the monster known as “G”. He went after the soldiers and killed every single one with remaining consciousness he had left. He then destroyed the viruses, causing the rats in the sewers to consume the virus. It then spread to the city’s drinking water and bam.” She looked shocked. Did they really make this virus to cause this havoc? She then was snapped out of thought by Mr.X shuffling. Marcus was aware of this too.
“That thing isn’t going to stay down. So no rest breaks for now on ok?” Luna nodded as the made post haste and ran away. Going back into the zombified part of the station, Marcus and Luna found a gun locker with a shotgun. Marcus was all giddy as Luna looked confused. Marcus then came across another puzzle and two lickers. One of them had a backpack attached to its back. This was gonna be one night.
Raccoon City Police Department Part 1
Marcus slipped under the door and saw a gruesome site: There was blood. Everywhere. On the walls, some on the ceiling, and organs on the floor. Least to say, since no-one was there in the station, it was clear everyone was dead. Except Irons. Marcus walked around and grabbed some ammo for his Desert Eagle. He had seven rounds of ammo and he was happy about it. He then traversed the hallways, finding two first aid spray, and some shotgun ammo. Which made him a bit excited. Walking down a hall with five windows, he came across a dead body of a cop with his radio still working. He grabbed the head and raised it up. The whole entire lower jaw was missing, making him throw up on the corpse. After that nightmare inducing shit, he explored a bit further and found a revolver. He smiled as he loaded the gun with ammo. He then signed Luna’s name on it with a permanent marker.
“It's nothing special but it's the thought that counts.” He said before getting interrupted by banging on blinds.
“OPEN UP! HURRY! OPEN UP! OPEN THIS GODDAMN DOOR!” A voice yelled behind the blinds. Marcus tries to raise the blinds, but only gets it halfway opened.
“HELP ME! PLEASE! HELP ME!” The cop screamed at him, as Marcus held out his hand.
“Gimme your hand! I got you. Gimme your other hand!” He complied as Marcus used all of his strength to pull the cop out. But the zombies from the other side of the blinds begin to eat the cop’s legs. He’s screaming in terrible pain.
“Shit man! Hang in there!” Marcus yelled… but he only managed to save only half of the cop.
“Sweet christ almighty…” Marcus said as the cop slowly died. He takes the notebook from the cop. It describes how to open a secret passage under a police station. Marcus is trying to escape to the main hall, but this is not so easy as the whole police station is teeming with zombies.
“FUCK! FUCK! FUCKING SHIT!” He yelled as he ran. He then made it to the blinds he came from. He then crawled under only for a zombie to grab his leg and pull itself up to his torso. That's when Luna saw this and sprinted and kicked the zombie in the head, causing it to be torn from its body. He then smiled at her and reached out his hand for her to help him up. She did as he then gave her the revolver. It had her name on it as she looked at it curiously as he then told her how to hold it. He then taught her how to shoot and reload. They then sat down and stayed quiet for a few minutes.
“We only have five days until this whole entire city is destroyed.” She then gasped.
“What do you mean?!” She asked. He then explained that the government will find out about Raccoon City and the zombie outbreak and will bomb the place. He then explained that there is a secret passageway under the police station. He then headed to the blinds as Luna did the same. He looks at her and says, “Ready?” She nods they both crawled under the blinds and into the zombified part of the police station. Both of them were shooting zombies and searching around. Suddenly, a noise caught both of their ears. Marcus then saw a licker crawl across the window.
“Ah shit lickers!”
“What are Lickers?” Luna asked. He only said find out soon as they both carried on. They then came across the door where they both heard a hiss.
“Stay here.” He said as he then came across a corpse missing its head. It seemed it was twisted off. He then walked a bit further as Luna silently followed behind as he then looked at the ceiling. Then they looked at the ceiling. She gasped as Marcus did also. It was a Licker. The Licker's appearance is truly horrific: multiple layers of skin have receded and torn, exposing the majority of the creature's muscle tissue. Its hands and feet have altered to sport a series of long, razor-sharp claws that allow the creature to crawl on the ceiling as well as rip its prey to shreds. Perhaps its most disturbing feature is its head: it has no eyes, no visible nose or ears, its brain is exposed and its mouth is filled with sharp teeth. It let out a groan as saliva poured out of its mouth as well as the tongue wiggled slowly as it then fell on the floor and used its tongue to grab Luna’s leg. Marcus was shocked and mad she disobeyed him, but now she needs saving. He then shot the Licker’s tongue, causing it to retract its tongue as Luna shot it’s head multiple rounds into its head causing a shriek. Marcus shot two bullets at the exposed brain, as it then jumped onto the ceiling. It then whipped Luna with its tongue, striking her abdomen and blood started to flow out slowly. She gripped her stomach pain as Marcus shot the Licker’s head one final time before it dropped to the floor, writhed in pain before dying. Luna then passed out as Marcus carried her back to the RCPD lobby.
Luna wakes up to her shirt off and a bandage wrapped tight and snug on her wound. It no longer hurt but her eyes befell upon a very concerned, yet pissed off Marcus as he walked over and shook his head as she looked down in disappointment at herself.
“What the hell Luna!? I told you to stay put but you followed me anyway! What the hell- are… you crying Luna?” She started to tear up as Marcus felt a wave of guilt washed over him as he then hugged her.
“Marcus… I’m scared.” She admitted to him. He was also scared of the current situation at hand. They are both in a city filled with zombies, a rocket launcher totin’ monster, Mr.X, and the monster known as “G”. He then cleared her tears from her cheeks.
“Shhhh… don't cry. You might ruin that cute face of yours.” Luna looked at him and hugged him. He was cautious, but let it happen as she started to cry in his shoulder. Marcus now has a goal: Escape from this god forsaken city and get him and Luna back home.
