OH NO she had to make a rule that first only groups of two are allowed and second one half of the class would put their names in a bowl the other half would each draw one of the names and that would be their partner . Sweetie Belle thought who could she draw best case is she would draw Apple Bloom , Scootaloo was no option since she was part of the half that drew Names , worst case she would draw Snips, Snails being equally as bad but he was in the half that drew too. Suddenly from the bowl happy shouting came like a wall towards her, she turns around and sees that Silver Spoon drew Diamond Tiara, those two having become even closer friends than before after Diamond mended fences about a month ago after building the new playground. Sweetie Belle on one hoof was happy for Silver Spoon but on the other hoof realized quickly that with that the now actually likeable Diamond Tiara was not an option anymore. Then her it was her turn she slowly lifted the next best piece of paper up and unfolded it with her magic and as soon as she read the name, she wanted to burn the paper and draw another one. BUTTON MASH it read. In this moment she knew what was coming towards her. ” That colt didn’t care for anything more than his games, how in Equestria am I supposed to do an assignment with him?”, she thought while saying the name out loud. “So everypony you have the rest of the day to discuss what your topic will be and tomorrow I will write it down and give you a deadline for when you have to present it , remember you can only change it if the deadline is at least two weeks away!”, shouted Cheerilee as the last pony drew a name . Even thought Apple Bloom and Scootaloo are best friends Sweetie Belle could already hear Scoots saying that the Wonderbolts are way more interesting than Zappappleharvest, friends yes but definitely not the same field of interest not a bit. As Button sat down seemingly with about as much happiness about the combination, he opened his mouth but Sweetie Belle immediately cut him off: “We are NOT doing something about any of your weird games”. She didn’t even know what games he played but she sure didn’t want to find out. ” What then the newest dress of your sister?”, he shot back. Sweetie Belle wanted to say something but quickly realized that he was right. Struggling to find the fitting answer she said: „And what’s so bad about that?”. ” Maybe the fact that you only want to do this because she is your Sister?” Right again but Sweetie Belle was not about to let her idea go because he called her out on it. About 15 minutes and several poor attempts to use one of Raritys persuasion techniques later the bell sounded and freed Sweetie Belle from the pain of trying to find a topic that suited both of them. Chapter 2Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Chapter 4After weeks of making the assignment it finally was presentation day for Sweetie Belle and Button. After the day and about three boring presentations from classmates, Sweetie Belle left the building together with the colt talking about their next meeting but not to work on the assignment, they never did, at least not really, they played the game talked and had a good time. After they formed a plan for the weekend, they parted ways but Sweetie Belle already saw the yellow country filly coming up and heard her whispering: “So another assignment date?”. Sweetie Belle gave her a slight kick with her hoof, instantly regretting the little confirming gesture. She knew Applebloom thought she was fully in love. “I’m don’t have a crush on him!”, Sweetie hissed back. ” Oh, and I don’t have a crush on Tender-”, Applebloom cut herself off realizing she just revealed why she didn’t have time for the crusader meetings. “So, you and Tender Taps?”, Sweetie Belle asked with a teasing undertone. “Yes, we are dating.”, Apple Bloom admitted regretfully . Now that Sweetie Belle knew this little secret she admitted: “Ok, since you told me that I should tell you something too : The little meetings are only half about playing the other half is actually us flirting.”. Apple Blooms eyes light up as she asked:"How long?", "Since the third meeting", Sweetie Belle answered blushing. After a minute of awkward silence that felt like an hour, they parted ways and Apple Bloom trotted towards Sweet Apple Acres. Arriving at the farm Apple Bloom was surprised to see a certain colt there, not Tender Taps but Button Mash! The filly waited patiently until she said: “So, you and Sweetie? “, “Yes”, he answered,” and that’s why I’m here. I need your help.”, “For what? “Apple Bloom asked surprised not understanding a what he means. ” I want to tell her I like her, I like like her but I have no idea how to do that!”, Apple Bloom thought a bit and then said: “Come in I might have an idea.”. After a whole afternoon of explaining the antisocial gamer colt how to tell his special somepony what she meant to him he asked: “So, I take her to a nice restaurant and tell her how I fell and pay the whole meal afterwards?”, “Yes , exactly”, Apple Bloom answered.“, “Thank you so much Apple Bloom!“, with that the colt walked out Apple Bloom liked his attempt to tell Sweetie Belle what he felt and thought about confessing her own love. If she just knew what was going on at Scootaloos house. The moment Scootaloo arrived at her house she saw the orange colt waiting there for her and she instantly knew what was going on. Tender opened his mouth but before he could say anything Scootaloo said:” You need advice on how to tell Apple Bloom you love her?”. He nodded. “Come in I think I can help you”, Scootaloo said. But the biggest surprise awaited Sweetie Belle as she returned the Boutique and was met by a grey Pegasus colt. ” Rumble? What are you doing here?”, she asked confused.” "I need your help Sweetie Belle, I need your help to tell Scootaloo I love her.”. Sweetie Belle looked at the colt confused while the dots connected in her head. “I have been meeting with her since the cutie mark day camp.”, he added. “I can help you I think.”, she replied motioning him to enter. Chapter 5Scootaloo walked casually towards her house. „There is something between Sweetie and that Button colt”, she thought to herself still not getting out of her head what she saw a week ago after she left the school. Button and Sweetie Belle were walking together giggling and talking. That wouldn’t be a problem if Scootaloo didn’t know that Sweetie hated the colt for always only thinking about games. She finished her homework quickly since it was only history, the history of a certain organization founded after Lunas banishment. She heard a knock on the door and trotted happily towards it thinking it would be her aunts making yet another surprise visit since there seemingly can’t be enough of those as long as her parents are gone. But as she opened the door not her aunts were there but her grey coated filly friend. “Rumble? I didn’t expect you. Our next meeting is in three days I thought.”, he gave her a bunch of flowers saying: “I thought we could move our date to today.”. Scootaloo blushed and she did even more realizing he named their meeting a date and agreed. “Sure, why not come in”, she said but he declined. ” Not today, today I want to surprise you with something else.”, he said as if his visit wouldn’t be a surprise on its own. Scootaloo agreed only then realizing what another surprise meant but before she could say anything the colt put his wings in front of her eyes. After what felt like an hour, he lifted his wings from her eyes and she was at a loss of words. He guided her to the 4 Stables the best restaurant in all of Ponyville and she embraced him not letting go of him. After a hug that nearly costed Rumble all of his breath they walked in. Apple Bloom had just sat down with Tender Taps in the restaurant he invited her to when she saw something that immediately got all her interest: Scoots and Rumble just entered the place and as Scootaloo looked around she saw Apple Bloom waving at her over and trotted over with her colt in tow. Tender stiffened a bit as he saw the other couple approaching and so did Rumble as he saw him sitting next to Apple Bloom, both realizing that this just turned into a most likely very awkward double date. As Scootaloo sat down Apple Bloom said: “So you and Rumble are together?”, “Yes”, answered Scootaloo. As the evening proceeded the awkwardness went down a lot and at the end two happy couples walked out the 4 Stables holding hoofs or wings. What both the crusaders only found out the next day in the clubhouse is that at about the same time Button had treated Sweetie Belle to a similar restaurant not three buildings further down the restaurant street of Ponyville. “He treated me to one of the best meals I ever had”, Sweetie Belle told her friends. And with Hearts and Hooves Day in about a week chances were that those three and their colts would have dinners again just as romantic as the one before. The Next day at school they happily explained their topic to Ms. Cheerilee and Sweetie Belle chuckled as she heard Scootaloo exclaim: “Fine we do Zappappleharvest just stop that!” and immediately knew Apple Bloom had used her sweet filly eyes on her, it`s like the stare but way more cute, she perfected it so much she could have even gotten her cutie mark for it! At the end of the day Button and Sweetie Belle walked out of the school together and made the agreement to meet at Buttons place in the afternoon. Applebloom came up to Sweetie Belle and asked: “What was the talking with Button all about? “, „We just discussed when to meet for the assignment preparation” Sweetie told her. „But Ms. Cheerilee gives us the next lessons to pre- OH you gonna have a little date!”, Apple Bloom said. “No, we just meet to discuss the assignment!” Sweetie Belle insisted, she did see the colt in another light now but definitely wasn’t in love with him!
