//-------------------------------------------------------// This Little Twisted World of Ours -by Sun Knight- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Face //-------------------------------------------------------// A New Face A sigh echoed inside Godfell’s haunting armor. The tall, dark figure approached the distant village known as ‘Ponyville,’ from what the sign said at least. “Third time’s a charm... right?” He told himself as he entered the village, his armor set awkwardly making clanging noises like pots and pans. Despite his best efforts, it was clear he was already gaining the attention with just his menacing presence alone. Godfell ignored the faces of ponies and continued strolling through, trying to find at least one that would be courageous enough to simply stay within his eyesight. Godfell was getting pissy at these ponies. Have they no clarity?! Godfell, now walking through a nearly empty village, glanced at the buildings. ‘Bland.’ All he thought of this experience so far was how bland the buildings were. Until a building finally caught his eye. It looked like it was made from surgery sweets. Without a second thought, he approached the building and gave two subtle knocks. The door swung open almost instantly after the second knock, and there stood a vibrant little pony. Completely pink, other than the cutie mark on her flank. Three little and colorful balloons, most likely to indicate that this was a pony that specialized in parties. Then the pink pony spoke as if he were another resident. “Hello, ominous looking guy!” She spoke with more energy and enthusiasm than he expected. Before he could get a word out, she spoke again. “I don’t think I know you! You must be... NEW!” Energetic was an understatement... “I have to prepare!” She began bouncing like a kid on Christmas before zipping away, the door slamming. Godfell stared at the door in silence, blinking. “By Gods... this is going to be the most difficult task I’ve done in a very long time.” He shook his head slowly and decided not to wait, leaving the building’s doorsteps and continuing through the village. He began to lose hope at this point. Maybe he should just let it all happen? No, that would be a terrible mistake. He didn’t like to use trickery either, so it’s not like taking the form of a pony was on the table. As he thought of his options, his feet slowly rose off the ground. He began rising into the air until flying off. His thoughts were interrupted when he noticed... buildings? Not ordinary buildings, but buildings MADE from clouds... which sat atop another cloud. ‘This world was full of surprises,’ he thought. He then strode towards it, landing on the large cloud that acted like the ground. He paid no attention and once again began strolling through. A couple minutes passed by(which felt like hours to him) and it all felt the same as Ponyville. Nobody, or should I say ‘Nopony,’ wanted to approach him. He growled to himself but was cut off by a rainbow streak, followed by him falling on his ass. He was tackled, he realized. By whom, he had no idea. He opened his eyes to see a bright blue pony with a rainbow mane glare daggers at him. Once again, he couldn’t speak... “Who the hell do you think you are, buddy?! Tryna kidnap some innocent ponies?!” Godfell’s noticeable blue eye became lidded in carelessness. “No, I’m not here to... terrorize and kidnap. I’d appreciate it if you got off of m-” The blue pony scoffed and blew air in his face. “Like I’d believe some crazy villain like you!” He still wasn’t getting anywhere, but at least he finally interacted. “Okay, okay, look. I’m no villain. I’m the complete opposite! I’m trying to save you ridiculous ponies from the actual villain!” She rolled her eyes, clearly not buying it. “Either you explain better than that or I’ll kick your ass!” He stayed silent, realizing they were still in the same position. “At least let me get up? This is getting uncomfortable ironically.” She flapped her wings and floated near him, letting him stand up. “I’ve got my eye on you!” Godfell dusted himself off and looked back up at her. “Right...” A chair formed behind him, allowing him to sit down. She lookec a little baffled by that, but Godfell was used to that kind of reaction by now. “I go by many names. Omni-King... The Outsider... God. But you can just call me Godfell. I’m clearly not from your world if you didn’t know yet. I came on behalf of an imposing threat. The demonic god known as Chernobog has nearly escaped from his prison after being locked away for millennia. I’ve come to warn you all, because when he does come... it’s not going to be pretty. His chaos has caused more havoc than a previous figure from your time. ‘Discord,’ was it? Regardless, you and your entire world could be destroyed if no action is taken!” She still wouldn’t buy it. It was written all over her face. Maybe taking the form of another pony was the right thing to do... “Bullshit! Even if you were telling the truth, I think we can handle it! We’ve dealt with more villains than you could ever dream of, pal!” He clenched his fists in anger, standing up. He didn’t want to resort to violence, but it was very tempting for such a punchable pony... he relaxed his hands and ignored her, teleporting away. This took her by surprise, shaking her head before looking around. “Damn it! I let him get away!” She then blasted off into Ponyville, probably to report what she just witnessed to her friends. Chernobog’s Prison Silence filled the cold, dead air. Chernobog sat in pure darkness, chains strapping his wrists and ankles to guarantee his imprisonment. A flash of light was seen before him, and there stood Godfell. Chernobog let out a menacing and quiet chuckle in his presence. “Long time no see, False God.” His voice was just as menacing as his appearance. He seemed like he was wearing armor himself. He was a shade of dark grey, a dim red glow in his empty eyes. He had a tall stature, possibly full 9 foot. He regularly carried a large black hammer with him as his weapon. Godfell's stomach turned. He always hated Chernobog. His presence alone pissed him off furiously. Might be a little bit biased, but anyone would be biased around such a demon. "I would shut your trap if you know what's best for you. I'm merely here to do the job for them and keep you in this godforsaken realm." Chernobog chuckled once more. "I'm sure you are. Your father did want the best from you, afterall..." He was mocking him. Godfell growled with intensity. "Mention him again and I will fucking end you instead." Chernobog scoffed. "Oh really? Is this what he sacrificed for? Your self pitty? Tch. At least he's dead." Godfell shouted, sprinting at him with a raised fist and striking downwards torwards the large demon. Chernobog smiled with anticipation as the barrier was damn near instantly destroyed and his chains vanished at the last second. This gave him time to dodge the furious attack. "I wish you weren't so gullible, but I do appreciate it." With one last laugh, he was gone, leaving Godfell. Godfell froze and slowly fell down, sighing. "I've failed... again..." Author's Note Hello, all! This is my very first story, so if you see any mistakes, don't be afraid to mention them so I can polish it up! I hope you like my first chapter, there will be more to come! https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsmile.png //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rainbow Trail //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rainbow Trail Rainbow Dash The blue blur zipped across Ponyville trying to get to Twilight's, knocking down a passerby pony with her speeds. "Uh- S-sorry!" She wasted no time and briskly sped towards the castle, stopping just before she hit the door. She let out a sigh of relief before knocking on the door what seemed like a dozen times in a couple seconds. As the seconds passed and she became giddy until finally Twilight opened the door. Once again, Rainbow wasted no time and flew right in towards the cutie map. Twilight was a little shocked by her sudden burst, following her. "Wha- Rainbow?! What's wrong?" Rainbow cocked her head. "What do you mean 'what's wrong?!' I let some yappy villain get loose! I bet they're on their way here RIGHT NOW to try and take over Ponyville! Or steal Alicorn magic!" Twilight put on a worried face, hoping it isn't a previous villain. "Who?! Is it Tirek? Did Sombra return?! Chrysalis?!" Rainbow shook her head profusely. "NO! It's... uh... somepony else... but he isn't a pony. I've never seen it before actually... it was tall and had finger-" Before she could finish, Twilight freaked out once more, "a HUMAN?! What is a human doing in equestria?! Speak to me!" "A human? Those weird ape-looking things that you never stopped going on about? This one is even weirder! He's wearing armor as if he were some Royal Guard, but it's all black! He's also got this crazy eye going on." Twilight put a hoof to her chin, looking down. "That's strange... I'm not sure if I've heard of such a thing." She then looked back up before gasping and running to her library. Rainbow Dash would facehoof, slowly striding along behind. "Do we really need to read a bunch of boring books... AGAIN?!" "If we don't research this then we'll never learn what this villain is!" Her face went from worried to excited, "If this is a new species... I'LL BE THE FIRST TO RECORD IT!" She began to skim through dozens of books while Rainbow lazily read through a couple pages and grumbled. "This sucks..." Rainbow Dash regretted her decision, but she knew she couldn't just get up and leave now. The two were interrupted by the sound of a bursting door and- "TWILIGHT!" Pinkie Pie bounced over to her direction as Twilight gawked at her. "What is it, Pinkie?" Pinkie tightly hugged Twilight before letting go with a bright smile, going on her usual rants. "You won't believe what happened today! So there I was baking my first cake for the day when I heard a knock! I opened the door and saw A NEW FACE! It reminded me of the first time I met you so I was like OMIGOSHOMIGOSHOMIGOSHIHAVETOGETREADY-" Her ranting was interrupted by a hoof stuffed into her mouth. "Pinkie, slow down! Who was the new pony?" She released her hoof, Pinkie smiling cheerfully again. "I don't know, I didn't get to ask for his name! I don't think he was a pony though! More like a scary Nightmare Night costume, which is strange because Nightmare Night was months ago and this one made him look like an entirely different creature!" Twilight glanced at Rainbow, who fell asleep soundly. Twilight scoffed, looking back at Pinkie. "From my understanding, it's the same one Rainbow spoke to. She said this strange creature was a villain!" "Hmm... well that wouldn't be very nice... I was looking forward to a party for him!" Pinkie sat and crossed her arms, looking grumpy. "We aren't positive if he is yet... or WHAT he is, but I have a feeling he isn't evil..." A couple more books floated over to her and landed on the table beside her. She continued to read through the books for any sort of information at all. Pinkie bounced. "YAY! I can still throw my party!" She took a few books herself to help and quickly skimmed through them. 2 Hours Later The three were surrounded by skyscrapers and mountains, all made from books. Rainbow Dash grumbled and groaned. "Ugh. I can't read another book..." Pinkie laid her head on a book. "It's not as fun as I hoped it would be." Twilight rubbed her eyes. It was clear she was getting a bit tired too. "After all this reading, we still haven't even found a lead! I'm starting to think that this thing is completely new!" After realizing she may have found a completely new discovery, her fatigue washed away immediately. "WE HAVE TO FIND IT!" Rainbow lowered her brow. "I'm just glad we're done here... Celestia knows I am!" She threw a book to the side. Pinkie Pie bounced up and trailed towards the door. "I can't wait to throw him a surprise party! We should invite the others!" The three all left Twilight's castle to get the others and find this new species, traveling through Ponyville, Sweet Apple Acres, The Everfree Forest, and even The Crystal Empire, but to no avail. Applejack had her doubts from the get-go if this 'thing' even existed and was starting to think something was up. "Ah know ya care for whatever this alien-lookin' thing is, but are you damn sure it wasn't just some fillies playin' a joke?" Twilight firmly shook her head. "It can't be. Rainbow herself said she interracted with the creature and it seemed real. She even said a chair spawned out of nowhere behind the species! Whatever it is, it must have it's own magic!" It was clear she wasn't going to be convinced by anypony. Rarity would join the conversation, looking rather doubtful herself, "A chair? Doesn't that seem a little farfetched, darling?" "I'm on Twi's side with this. It felt pretty REAL while in the moment if you ask me! Besides, we've seen some crazy shit! Discord himself is enough to prove that one!" Rainbow giggled to herself on her own comment. Twilight chose to ignore their advances to convince her as if they were arguing with a boulder and just continued searching for the creature. The Crystal Empire The large demon, weilding his also large hammer, slowly approached the Empire, melting the snow around him with his body heat. A thin red aura glew from his body, similar to his red eyes. He smiled at the sight of the peaceful Empire, standing before it. Without another thought, he entered and terrorized ponies with just his appearance alone, causing most to nervously run away. He was confronted by two guardsponies nearby. "HALT! You are to lay down your weapon and surrender peacefully!" Chernobog chuckled at their cute little attempt at threatening him and stomped his foot torwards them, knocking them away like dolls. The two had no time to react, a viscous shadow catching their eyes before they were slammed into the ground by the hammer he held. He took the severely injured two using what seemed to be magic and flung them across the Empire. Chernobog began to laugh to himself, clenching a fist. "You can't tell me that's the best this failure of an Empire has to offer! What a waste of space..." He growled, continuing to terrorize the streets. He couldn't take his eye off the castle in the Empire, and that's exactly where he was headed next, cracking his knuckles in the hopes of creating utter hell for everypony. It wouldn't be long until the treacherous demon did what he promised to do long ago. //-------------------------------------------------------// His Oath //-------------------------------------------------------// His Oath Godfell After spending hours of contemplating in darkness, Godfell had no other choice to make an oath. That oath made sure he wouldn't lose his hope and stayed true to his word. The Eldritch took flight and gained speed, traveling to a place known as 'Canterlot.' He made sure to cross his fingers in the hopes that any form of royalty would reside in the large castle. Godfell landed in the streets of Canterlot and strolled on by quickly, stopping before the Castle. There were guards, obviously, so it was going to take a lot of convincing to let him through. The guards that stood on either side of the door denied access, stopping Godfell from proceding any further. One of the two guards spoke up. "Halt! What say you... traveler?" Godfell would do a presentable wave and put his hands behind his back. "I've come to give a message to whomever rules these lands. I come with no harm or threat to your kingdom. I simply would like to communicate." The two glanced at each other. One of them nodded, both allowed him through. As he formally walked in, the two guards followed. Godfell stopped a few feet away and did a respectful bow to whom he thought was the Princess of this land. "I come in peace. My name is Godfell, I am not from your world. I am known to many as an Eldritch. I've come to spread the word of Chermobog's newly return. I insist you and your world take action before it is too late. I myself have made an oath to protect your land, but I cannot do all of the work, as that is not my job." The Princess listened to what he had to say and nodded. "Godfell, was it? I understand your reasoning to warn me. I have heard tales of the creature known as Chernobog and the havoc he brung with him when I was young. I never truly believed prior to you coming here. I shall immediately warn my little ponies and dispatch Equestria's greatest heroes to deal with this threat. I appreciate your help." Godfell said his farewells before traveling off. Mane 6 Twilight trotted through Canterlot with a serious look on her face. She was more than determined to find this thing if it's the last thing she does. The others? Not so much. They either looked exhausted, annoyed, or downright bored. For awhile, the only thing that could be heard was the clopping of hooves and the townsponies nearby. Surprisingly enough, Fluttershy was the first to break the dead silence. "Um... Twilight, I don't kean to complain but... it's getting very late and I'm sure we're all tired from all of this..." Twilight glanced over with the same look. "We still need to find him! There can only be so many places, right?!" The group let out their disappointing and annoyed sighs simultaneously, Twilight ignoring it. Rainbow Dash began to poke at her to get her attention. While Twilight tried her best to ignore it, she quickly cocked her head towards Rainbow and scoffed. "What is it, Rainbow-" She was suddenly knocked to the ground after running into somepony. She shook her head and looked to see who it was. She gasped in disbelief, but also in excitement as Godfell stood there staring at them. "Uh, sorry. I didn't see you... there..." He noticed two familiar ponies. The weird pink one and the tomboyish blue one. Another thing that caught his attention was the fascination displayed on her face, no doubts. "I FOUND YOU!" She bounced a little after the relentless day she had trying to find him. Godfell was taken back by her loud outburst. "I guess you did. I'm Godfell..." He awkwardly reached his hand out for a shake. Twilight would take the hint and somewhat shook his hand. "Sorry.. long day, heheh. I've been trying to find you all day after Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie told me they met you." "Before you say anything else, no, I am NOT a villain. I'm not malevolent at all. I came here to warn you all of Chernobog and protect your land." Twilight scratched her chin. "That name sounds familiar..." Godfell nodded, "He was imprisoned thousands of Moons ago in total darkness. He mostly found his way in folklore, mythology, and many other recorded novels." Twilight's eyes lit up, again. "It's been so long since I've read about him! He always scared me when I was younger, but I told myself it was just a story... but now... it's NOT!" Her face went from joyful to very worried in a second. "This is bad! We're going to need to prepare!" Applejack intervened, "Ah appreciate you tellin' us an' all, but why the Tartarus would he break out now?" Godfell scratched the back of his head. "Well, you see, the barrier between his version of Hell and the real world-our world-faded since his imprisonment and only needed to be brought off the edge for it to shatter like fragile glass. I was the one that caused this to happen when I got pissed off at him and got physical... allowing him to escape immediately." He read their faces to see if they were pissed at all. It was very mixed to say the least. Twilight was the first to speak up. "I... can understand. While you did commit one of the BIGGEST mistakes of our time, you might've had a reason for it, so I can forgive you. Besides, you're already going to make it up by helping us." Godfell was relieved to hear that, letting a puff of air out. Fluttershy nodded in agreement. "I forgive you as well, mister." Rarity had also agreed with Twilight. Then there was the tomboy pony... "WHAT?! What kinda half-assed excuse is that! You've gotta be kidding me!" Rarity rolled her eyes, "Don't worry about Rainbow, darling, she's just a little, how do I say this, hardheaded." "I saw that immediately when I met her, but don't worry. I've dealt with far worse. Smartasses and jackasses alike." Rainbow growled at him while glaring daggers into his eyes. Applejack seemed to be on her own side. "Ah can't really say I fully trust you, but I won't discourage ya any." "That's respectable at least. I think we're all nearly on the same page." He glanced at Rainbow Dash. "Nearly. We'll get along soon enough, Skittles, there's no other option." "Wa- Skittles?! What the f-" Twilight interrupted her "Alright! Let's get going then so we don't waste anymore time, shall we?" Godfell nodded. "I'll catch you guys there then." Godfell flew up and blasted off with a decent sized shockwave. All Rainbow had to say was: "Showoff..." Applejack smirked at her little comment, making sure she saw. "Out of all the ponies 'ere, I didn't expect that from somepony such as yerself, Rainbow." "Oh, get off my flank, will ya?" She blasted off towards the same direction Godfell went in to get to the castle. The others soon followed themselves, even if they were a lot slower. Chernobog Chernobog stood in the middle of the castle, bodies of the guards surrounding him. Cadence herself had to face his power and trembled before him quickly with her own Husband, Shining Armor. "Pity. Not even the Princess could face me. This might be a lot easier than I thought..." He held the Crystal Heart in his hand. "Say goodbye while you can." He chuckled, crushing the Heart into tiny shards with just his hand alone. He lifted his large, terrifying hammer and smashed it into the ground, forcing the castle to crumble apart on top of them as Chernobog escaped. The Crystal Empire's remains were it's rubble and lone survivors, without shelter or their family. //-------------------------------------------------------// Waging Wars //-------------------------------------------------------// Waging Wars Mane 6 The six each sat in their own chairs near the cutie map, having their own discussions on this matter. Godfell didn't feel like being relevant in the moment, floating near the six and leaning back as if he were on a couch, but whatever makes him comfortable. Meanwhile, Spike walked in on the group, looking a little queasy. Godfell glanced at him as if he were about to vomit, but an anticlimactic belch followed by green flames would emerge instead, forming a letter. He grabbed it, handing it over to Twilight. Twilight took a gander at the message sent by Princess Celestia before immediately standing up off her crystalline chair. "We're needed in Canterlot urgently!" The group would quickly stand up themselves, running off to Canterlot. Godfell Godfell watched them run off to Canterlot, gently landing down on the cold floor. It was dead quiet. Godfell sat on one of the girls' thone-like chairs. He never liked the sound of silence, but when it came, he couldn't stop it. It makes him think of his life before being a regal 'God.' Ever since his father left for his own good, he kind of forgot what family meant. To anyone else, being a God is the greatest accomplishment you could aquire regardless, he should stop acting so ungrateful. He rubbed his face, tranquilized in questions that he knew would never be answered. Even the simplest of questions. Why? How? When? He's been arguing with himself for so long, but never got the bigger picture of everything. Kind of like how people-and even ponies-alike never got the bigger picture of him. He was only seen as an idea. Not a being, but a symbol. I guess you could say he's been waging wars with himself while dealing with the war against Yin and Yang simultaneously... Mane 6 Twilight and the Mane 6 swiftly trotted into Canterlot, entering the castle as fast as they could. Celestia, along with Luna and even Discord, patiently waited for their arrival. Twilight gasped for air a bit, "We came as fast as we could!" Celestia nodded formally and stood from her throne. "Thank you for coming. I'm sure you've heard of the return of Chernobog?" The six quickly nodded in response. "Good. We need all the time we can get. I've recently been contacted by Sunburst stating the damnation Chernobog forced upon on the Crystal Empire. The Crystal Heart was destroyed and... we've lost Princess Cadence..." Twilight's eyes widened, completely and utterly shocked. She sobbed a bit, but tried her hardest not to break down. She suddenly ran towards Celestia, embracing her. She couldn't help it. Celestia comforted her as soon as she did. Luna would look at the Mane 6, who all had their own melancholy reactions to the tragic news. "We believe he's out to end all of life completely judging by the way he handled the Crystal Empire. Nopony knows where he's headed next, but we've made sure that we'd be immediately contacted if Equestria was attacked once more by the foul beast." Fluttershy, wiping her eyes to rid of the emotion she was shedding, let out a quiet weep. "How are we going to stop him?" Luna glanced to Discord, who wasn't his usual, before looking back at them. "We're hoping Celestia, Discord, and I, along with the help of you're friendship, is enough to take him on... but we mustn't be overconfident. We're not sure how the outcome will play out yet." Twilight slowly backed away, clearing her throat. She had noticeable bags under her eyes from her tears of sadness. Although her overwhelming sadness got the best of her, she was determined to take down the demon more than any other villain they have faced. "If he wants a full-on war, we'll give it to him!" Celestia took a few steps forward. "If this doesn't go well, I've made sure that the Pillars will be our Plan B." Twilight would gaze at her friends. "We've got this. We'll be sure of it." Chernobog Chernobog traveled through the mountains of the Crystal Empire to have a little fun, making it his playground. He destroyed nearly all of the mountains by it, feeling replenished and pleased. His aura seemed to agree, much bigger from last time. He observed the devastation in the sky, smiling coldly. 'All of that, from one creature.' He thought. After a good minute of feeding his own ego, he flickered off to find another castle to ruin. His flight was disrupted by a stranded violet blast that hit his back and made him crashland into the dirt below him, creating a deep crater that was filled with Hellfire, Chernobog standing in the center. He growled to himself, frantically glancing around before being sucker punched to the ground. A hand pulled him back up forcefully and before he could look at who it was, he was punched once more. This time into the air. 'This one's strong...' He scowled, landing back down away from the crater. Godfell Godfell sighed. He expected Chernobog to be better than this. Godfell would slowly float up and out of the large crater, showing himself to the demon. Chernobog glared at him, bringing his hammer up. "I should've known it was you, False God." Godfell ignored him and began approaching the tall beast, magic coating his hands. Chernobog tried swinging his hammer downwards, but was interrupted by Godfell grabbing his wrist tightly and kneeing him. "I'm not here to fight, but I will put you in your place! Watch who you piss off!" Chernobog had kneeled from the sudden knee, feeling the bubbling rage in his dead soul. He got back up on his feet, glaring through Godfell. "I'm not here for you either, I've made that clear long ago." He turned his back and flew off again. Godfell closed his eyes, his hands behind his back, and turned away. "If it's war he wants, we'll give it to him." A smirk slowly grew behind his helmet, slowly walking away from the scene to get back to the castle. Mane 6 The Mane 6 returned to Twilight's Castle, Twilight wondering where Godfell had gone to, but got her answer pretty quickly as he showed up at the last second. Godfell morphed a chair for himself again and sat in it. "Tomorrow's going to be a long one, so if you thought today was hard, then you'll be surprised." He snickered. "I have a feeling it will be..." Twilight gulped, still kind of scared of what's to come. "No pressure, of course. That's the least we need in this kind of situation, right?" Fluttershy took her seat and smiled at Twilight, "We'll still be here for you." Twilight looked down at the map and frowned. "What if one you get's killed?!" "Ahem." Godfell cleared his throat to get their attention. "From what I've heard, you're all basically untouchable. Look at nearly every encounter with a villain. The same question could go with them as well, but you still ultimately defeated them... right?" Twilight looked at him and simply wiped her eyes, "This one is a lot different. The only thing he WANTS to do is destroy and kill! The others at least had a goal!" She planted her face on the map and let out a weak weep. "You can't give up hope. Doubting leads to failure. You need to first think you can do something before you do anything else. It's one against the entirety of Equestria. How can't that mean something to you? You've faught how many times by now? I think you can. I'm sure we all do. We just need you to think that about yourself." Godfell stood up. "I'll give you time to try and think hopefully. I'll see you guys tomorrow..." He yawned and left the castle. Rainbow and the others smiled at Twilight. "We'll uh, give you space too." They all soon followed Godfell, leaving Twilight to think. //-------------------------------------------------------// Only The Beginning //-------------------------------------------------------// Only The Beginning Chernobog Chernobog sat alone on top of a hill. It was already seven in the morning, despite it feeling like only a couple minutes just passed by. He stared at the sunrise, planning his next attack in his head. He didn't know why, but he had a strange gut feeling that told him this wasn't going to be as easy as he previously thought. He wiped his face with his hand, blowing out air while standing back up on his feet to make his way towards Canterlot, his next victims. Godfell Godfell sat in a chair outside, relaxing before the big conflict arose. His head twitched at the sound of hooves trotting over to him, opening an eye to see who it was. It looked like the girls, but with Twilight nowhere to be seen. He consciously shrugged and lifted himself up from his relaxing position, sitting straight. "What brings you here?" Godfell questioned. Rarity answered for them before anypony else could, taking a few more steps toward him. "It's Twilight. She's... gone!" "Oh... well that doesn't... sound good." He scratched his chin. "Especially right before the big day ahead of us. Maybe we shouldn't have left her alone, hm?" Rainbow butted herself in "Well, it was your fault. You just had to be 'real,' as you put it." "Yes, because I forced the five of you to leave her as well. I merely left to give her space, but I never said YOU had to. Regardless what your little mind thinks, putting blame on me won't solve the situation." He stood up out of his chair, throwing it away. "While ah'd love to sit and chat, we probably should be finding Twilight?" "Let's be real for a moment. If Twilight did leave the luxury of her castle, odds are she did it out of spite of Chernobog. And if that much is true then... she could be dead. I'm guaranteeing it, but Chernobog is an apathetic motherfucker. That's what happens when you become a demon. He doesn't spare anything or anyone." Fluttershy couldn't help but respond to his comment, sounding more assertive than her usual self. "Don't be so negative! It's you that said we should be more confident about ourselves during this." "Well, I guess that is right, but what else can I say? Ya don't like the heat, then get out of the kitchen." She furrowed her brow, the others looking relatively the same. "Alright, alright. She's probably not dead. I would think she's smart enough to NOT go alone. Is that what you wanted to hear?" Fluttershy firmly nodded to him. "Now that we got that out of the way, can we please start searching for her?" "If you truly insist, then we might as well." Without any other word, Godfell began happily walking down a pathway while the others followed behind him. Twilight Running and flying across Equestria frantically was Twilight, trying her hardest to find Chernobog and confront his monsterous tyranny once and for all. She'd been at it for hours now, and despite the fatigue she showed, she continued her search. She suddenly stopped her running, skidding across the dirt ground a bit. She saw a figure in the distance walking across the hills. She quickly straightened herself and flew over, confident it was him. Chernobog detected her closing in on her, cocking his head in her direction. This made her stop once more, glaring up at the beast. A cocky grin plastered over his face, turning his body to her. "Oh? What do we have here... another princess." He turned his hand over to reveal his palm, a crimson ball of magic charging into it. "Don't go anywhere, will you?" Twilight bared her teeth and took steps toward him, her fear being drowned out by anger. "YOU! YOU DESTROYED THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE AND CARELESSLY KILLED CADENCE!" Chernobog chuckled. "I love the way you caress your rage and hatred... it makes me hungry." With a swipe of his arm, the ball of magic was swung at her. Twilight would form her shield, but it was shattered by the force of his attack, making her skid a foot away. She sprinted, shooting a beam at Chernobog's head as a counterattack, but failed to make it land as he simply sidestepped away from it. "You magic types are all the same. You have no originality in your attacks, let alone a good, proper stance!" He shouted, his voice booming. The demon came threateningly close to Twilight, making her feel the radiating heat that came from his aura. It nearly burned even. She backed away, her fear slowly returning to her. Her legs began to shake, tripping over herself just to back away. Chernobog raised his hammer, overshadowing her. Her eyes became widened as the massive hammer was swung towards her side. Out of pure instinct, she instantly teleported away just moments before the hammer would strike her. "Pathetic. And she was known as royalty to these disgusting animals..." Mane 6 As usual, The Mane 6 ran about as if they were Globe Trotters, trying to find Twilight before anything else. Ironically, Twilight found them, teleporting right in front of them. They all toppled over each other in surprise, but was ultimately glad and happy to find Twilight perfectly fine. The feeling wasn't mutual, though, as the frightened Twilight looked at the girls with a frown on her face. She was still a bit shook from what just happened. The silence was cut short when Pinkie jumped in to hug her with a joyful smile on her face, but noticed Twilight looked a bit off. Her smile faded into a worried look. "Twilight? Are you okay?" No answer. "Twiiiiliiight" Pinkie shook her, snapping her put of her strange catatonic state. "Wha- oh! Hey, guys!" She grinned nervously. The others simply stared in confusion for a few seconds before returning a smile. "Ah'm glad your doin' okay, Sugarcube!" Applejack would straighten her hat. "Yeah! We were worried you died!" Pinkie said in a rather enthusiastic tone. "What? No! I just... went for a walk is all. Nothing to it!" She let out two faint chuckles. "Riiight... shouldn't we be getting ready by now?" Rainbow questioned. The girls all agreed, Twilight being increasingly pushy just so they could get a move on. Eventually they all returned to the castle for one last briefing and soon enough, confront Chernobog to end it before complete chaos ensues. Godfell Godfell had broken up from the group a while ago, but they didn't really question it, considering that the entire nature of Godfell was totally alien to them. He wanted to get into Ponyville and socialize so nobody saw him as some edgy villain. It worked for the most part, but not everypony wanted to talk. After about an hour of meeting ponies, he took a rest at a small hill. He knew relaxation was going to be limited, so he made use of it while he could. One minute, it was perfectly silent, but the next, Godfell was sent skidding across the hills from a rogue punch. He lowered his back, digging his fingers in the ground to slow himself down, growling. "You have got to be kidding me..." He straightened up, glaring through the scenery to find the culprit. Chernobog landed heavily about ten feet away from Godfell, cracking his neck. A fight seemed to be brewing, and it wasn't going to be pretty. //-------------------------------------------------------// Where's The Fun When You Need It? //-------------------------------------------------------// Where's The Fun When You Need It? Godfell "I thought I told you... I'm not here to fight!" Godfell shouted in a regal tone. Chernobog slowly shook his head, maniacally grinning. "I don't take kindly to you. You're little brawl with me to feed that ego of yours reassured that." His tone lowered. Godfell stood his ground, not showing anything else but his rage for the demon before him. "I've got my reasons. The only excuse you've ever had is the fact that you're just a sack of shit." The distance between the two seemed to shorten as the the two steadily approached one another. Chernobog threw his hands up in a shrug. "It's not like I need any other reason. I've said this before, but I'll say it again... Nobody cares for your self-pity." He didn't let Godfell respond, as he now was in his range. Godfell felt a powerful surge of pain strike him in the face, hitting the ground in shock. He got on one knee and stared at Chernobog. "Y-You really must be mad." He chuckled to himself, but was cut off by a rather speedy uppercut to thr chin, lifting him up off his feet just barely. "I appre-" A fist smacked his right temple, just out of sight. His back slammed against a tree from the force. Chernobog had already made it in front of him "I appreciate you not fighting back, but even then I'm going to get bored." Godfell only wheezed, half hysterically, half painfully. "I'm... o-only stalling you. If you think I'm going to f-ight you, you're mistaken. This isn't my fight..." Chernobog's cocky expression faded as he went on. "So-" He clenched Godfell's neck, lifting him and pinning him against the tree behind him. "-you're just the little underdog of this, huh?" He spat in his face. "Fantastic." He lazily threw him back down, picking at his teeth. "I've lost my enthusiasm at this point. Thanks a LOT." He turned away, leaving Godfell to himself. Chernobog With one nuisance out of the way, Chernobog can finally go onto the next. He found it damn easy to eavesdrop on those pretty ponies. It was nearly laughable. But now isn't a laughing matter. He had a Chaotic Little Figure to take care of, afterall. Chernobog arrived at Canterlot, not acknowledging the ponies. Even as he was confronted by random, useless guards, he just pushed past them towards the castle. It became apparent the guards were just going to pile up on his ass, so he blasted all of them without even batting an eye. After avoiding all of the futile attempts at capturing the tormenting beast, Chernobog stormed into the castle, breaking down the large door. The princesses surprisingly were nowhere to be seen. Damn. The fools must've found out. Chernobog didn't lose hope yet, searching the giant throne room precisely. He skimmed past the stained glass windows, but looked back at one. It had a very strange detail that made no sense. It looked like... Discord. Chernobog grinned widely, closing in on the window. "You expect me to be fooled by that? I've seen chaos, my friend." Discord returned the grin, appearing right above Chernobog as a terrible cosplay of him. "I used to actually want to be like you, can you believe that?!" He teleported next to him as his normal self. "Until, of course, I realized that being just like you isn't much of an accomplishment..." Chernobog bared his teeth in anger, but dropped it. "I always did say the weak were the misguided, didn't I?" Discord snapped his fingers, showcasing the day Chernobog temporarily died after his defeat. "You know, I didn't even think you could die. Well, then again... I never knew you were still alive." "Enough of your antics, Discord. You already know why I'm here." Discord broke out in laughter, charging at Chernobog with ridiculous armor on along with a lance, but vanished just before he hit and appeared behind him. "OF COURSE I DO! You want to play a little game with me. Does Ogres and Oubliettes suffice?" The board game popped up in Chernobog's face, in which he swatted away. "Oh, I've got a better game than that, my friend..." Chernobog grew taller, towering over Discord. "I know what Chaos lacks. If that ever got exploited, you're life eould end before you know it. Prevent that. You have the option to tend to these ponies, doing their bidding like an obedient slave under the rule of Friendship, or, you can quit, let the rage of your past self out and finally show Equestria the power you wield." Discord looked unamused overall. "Yadda yadda yadda, I've heard it all before. Tirek offered me that power, but betrayed me like any other villain. There's a reason why I never turned away from Friendship again after that." "Then so be it." Chernobog chained Discord using his energy that cut off his Chaotic Magic while opening a portal to an empty realm. "You're truly disappointing. I expected at least some form of power from the Lord of Chaos himself, but this is the action I get? Tch." Discord was launched into the sad and endless void of emptiness as the portal shut. Chernobog let out a huff of air in what he felt was defeat. His sounds of disappointment ended when finally, he was met face to face with none other than the Elements of Harmony themselves, the Princesses alongside them. "Oh ho ho ho... for me? You shouldn't have." Author's Note Sorry for taking like, a week just for a short chapter. I've been caught up in my own personal business that I've forgotten all about this :derpytongue2: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/derpytongue2.png I'll be sure to pick this back up soon though! //-------------------------------------------------------// About Time... //-------------------------------------------------------// About Time... Chernobog "I appreciate the gesture and all... but it's about time!" Chernobog stood before the Mane 6, all staring daggers at each other as if it were a competition. Twilight spoke up with a scowl. "You've had you're fun, Chernobog!" Chernobog appeared to the side of her, flicking her snout. "Oh, but have I? I could've sworn that the fun just started. I'm hoping for some action and drama." He giggled, appearing back in front of them. Twilight furrowed her brow. "Come on, g-" She abruptly hit the wall from an unexpected blast. "Why, I hope you don't think I'm just gking to stand here and take it! For too long have arrogant villains and baddies just sit there and play dumb!" He cracked his knuckles, getting into his stance. "But there's a first for everything, amirite?" He took off, shaking the ground with his stomps. With a wave of his hand, palm sized balls of flame shot outwards towards the ponies. Some might've dodged them, but not all... Fluttershy and Rarity were the latter result, falling to the ground from the blasts. Twilight gasped as she stood back up, but quickly shifted to pissed off, running towards Chernobog with an empowered beam. Chernobog was stopped dead in his tracks, stumbling back from the magic beam. Other than that, he shook it off. Twilight was hit to the side by his hammer as if it had a mind of it's own, flying right back into Chernobog's grip. For the first time in forever, The Princesses actually decided to do something. The two flew up and shot off their own magic beams in unison that fused into one, directed towards Chernobog. As helpful as it sounded, Chernobog's quick thinking said otherwise. He rose the massive hammer in front of him, reflecting the beam right back at them. Of course, the two were helpless and got a taste of their own medicine, falling to the ground. The others, whom tended to Fluttershy and Rarity, quickly caught on to the fact that the Princesses were down now and rushed towards them. Chernobog rolled his eyes. "So... this... this is all you give me? Your frantic reactions as if you've never experienced this before?" Twilight stared down at the two princesses with a frown, before glaring at him. "I've had enough of you." Full of emotions, Twilight lunged upwards and shot off a massive beam that caught Chernobog off guard, engulfing him in the beam. Chernobog roughly skidded across the ground, growling at the burning pain. He wiped his cheek, ridding away the blood. "A drop of blood? I'd be sarcastic if I weren't slightly IMPRESSED!" He fired off his own crimson beam that was twice her size, destroying the castle entirely and cracked the ground beneath them. You'd probably think it was over at that point, but it wasn't. They were all safe and sound under a clearly overpowered shield. Godfell stood in front of them all with his hand out that put up the shield. "I might not be in the fight, but I still have an oath. I'm not allowing you to die even if it means sacrificing myself!" Chernobog growled under his breath and put more power into the beam, eventually absorbing the shield in it's size, but even so, it had no effect. The shield Godfell casted stood it's ground, not even cracking the slightest. "Ugh, you're denying a Demon some real fun here! I can't believe you colorful ponies fell for him and his deceiving ass!" He dropped the beam and stood tall. After the beam was dropped, the shield soon followed, Godfell lowering his hand. "It's not like you can offer anything better." He clasped his hands together, grinning behind his helmet before facing the Mane 6. "This isn't like any villain you've faced. You're going to have to stand up for yourselves. Sometimes all that's needed is a little hope..." The Mane Six smiled at him genuinely. Rainbow Dash scratched the back of her head. "I, uh... I'm sorry. I misjudged you when I shouldn't have..." Applejack nodded in agreement. "I appreciate it. I'm sorry for being a dick. I get that way when I'm frustrated. But uh, maybe we can rejoice another time? Heh." They switched, glaring towards Chernobog as he clenched tightly on the handle of his hammer. "I have killed thousands before the clock even struck midnight. Crushed skulls under my feet without a care. I've dominated galaxies until their doom. Sailed until every light has been distinguished. I want to live in a Universe where Light has become irrelevant. I want to become King of the Shadows. God of The New World. Legend of everyone's Nightmares. to take The Edge of the Cosmos to the moon. To break it... and smash it with an impact not seen since the beginning of time... Can anyone stop me? By the light of the fire and the burning sun I don't care what happens. After countless years as a nobody, my name is Chernobog. But speeches are for publicity. Now... is the time for action... " He raised his hammer, charging another beam before firing it directly at the Mane 6. Twilight gritted her teeth, immediately cancelling the attack with a binding flash of light coming from her. She revealed something not seen. A transformation to say the least. Her eyes were pure white, her mane and tail flowed elegantly, her fur shined and glared. Frozen in shock, Chernobog merely stared at the pony, trying to gather coherent thoughts on how she could've stopped such an overpowered attack. He shook himself out of it and lunged forwards at her, batting her with enough force to smash her through the walls of the barely standing castle. Even with that much force, she had only skidded a few feet towards the wall, feeling nothing. She bared her teeth in a frown and blasted him back, making him hit the wall. He winced in pain, but it only royally pisses him off to try harder. He further tapped into his power, a bolt of energy sparking off of him. He threw his hammer to the side and charged forwards, throwing blasts around her. The castle crumbled further as a result. Twilight hit the ground, a burn mark appearing on her back. She slowly stood back up and charged back at the demon, blasting yet another beam filled with rage. Chernobog scowled and blasted back, creating a stalemate between the two beams. Both beams faught back and forth, attempting to overwhelm one another but was stuck in between. The two blasted more and more energy into their attack until the clash ended in a devastating explosion, causing the castle to be blasted to bits while the others witnessing this fight were blasted back by the sheer force of the shockwave. The dust dissipated, showing the once breathtaking castle into a now hellish warzone between two powers. The Mane 6 were nowhere to be seen, blasted away from the scene. Luckily Godfell had caught them all before they could crash land into the ground. Godfell Godfell gently placed the last one - Applejack - onto the ground and let out a content sigh. "Is everyone okay...?" He glanced at them all, noticing blood coming from their heads. He winced. "Nevermind..." Fluttershy felt a burning pain on her left wing, looking at it. She noticed that most of her feathers were burned off, along with the skin under it, showing bone. She gasped in horror. Godfell quickly tended to her grabbing a first aid kit from behind his back nonchalantly. He opened the kit up, eased the bleeding, and bandaged it. "Now, I can't promise much, but at least you won't bleed out or something." He then looked at the others to see if they had any wounds from the blast. Luckily most of them were just bruised and bleeding slightly with burnt and disheveled manes. He threw the aid kit away and wiped his hands. "Goodie. Now, we aren't going back there. It's way too dangerous for what it's worth." "Well, we can't just leave Twilight out t'ere with that... creep!" Applejack objected. The others had to agree with her. Godfell let out a groan. "I get you guys are worried, but when's the last time you've even seen her like that? You know, without the power of Friendship?" "Uhhh-" Rainbow was cut off. "Yeah- I didn't really think so. I'm sure she's handling this just fiiiiinnnneee. I mean, shit, she took on a giant fuckin' hammer and easily destroyed a blast that could've turned you all to ash!" "But, she's still our friend! We can't do nothing!" Rarity responded. Godfell shrugged. "It isn't the worst option. You could, you know... DIE!" "If we go out, we go out together!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed confidently. "Huh. Guess I can't convince everybody with my charming good looks, megawatt smile, and charismatic speeches." "We can't even see your face..." Applejack muttered. "Well it should already be a known fact! No need to see me... enough about me. If we're going back, then we're going back." He yawned, stretching. The Mane 6, minus Twilight, regrouped and began their journey back to what is now known as Hell. Twilight Twilight laid on the ground, covered in her own blood and sweat. Her breath had hitched, barely capable enough of keeping her eyes open. The pain was unbearably bad. Chernobog stood over her, smiling. He hadn't even broken a sweat yet. "Death comes to you like Life would. It's only with pain instead of joy. Even if you found a way to survive Death, or even surpass it. It will always come back to bite you in the ass. That is what I represent. I'm no Demon. I'm no Angel. I'm a God. The God that you should fear. The God that can bring us back to nothing with a snap of my fingers. ...I just hope you're not the type to stay still." //-------------------------------------------------------// Oh, How The Tables Have Turned //-------------------------------------------------------// Oh, How The Tables Have Turned It truly does seem like the end of Equestria, doesn't it? Hope has belittled into nearly nothingness, the Princesses - brutalized, to say the least, and Twilight nearly has kicked the bucket. But haven't we learned that even when pushed into the darkest corner, they always surpass it? Chernobog Chernobog towered over Twilight's nearly lifeless body as her heavy breathing began to slow. She suffered from a major concussion after her head was practically split open, gushing out a fountain of blood. "It's a shame, really. That's all you pastel ponies amount to." Chernobog spat, staring down at Twilight with his dark and empty eyes. He lifted her up by the neck and brung her to eye level. "Tell me why I shouldn't let you bleed out, or why I shouldn't snap your neck instantly. Amuse me." He grinned, licking his lips. Twilight looked at him with hung eyes, her front hooves holding onto the hand that carried her. "I-I don't know..." She paused, gulping. This truly was a first, too. Twilight was almost always capable of at least saying something positive to lighten herself up. But, she had lost her will to do so. This wasn't like any other experience with a foe. They were never this cold. "I... I just wish we- cough taught you the true meaning of... friendship." A tear soon rolled down her cheek before falling onto Chernobog's hand. Chernobog's grin had faded. He now was scowling. He tightened his grip. "You think I would ever FUCKING believe in friendship? YOU COULDN'T STAND AGAINST ME EVEN IF YOU HAD BILLIONS OF FRIENDS, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK IT'S SO IMPORTANT!" He shouted, clutching Twilight and swinging her across the wasteland with brute force, but just then, an aura coated Twilight. It wasn't her, this was a foreign entity. She slowly but surely floated over a few meters away from Chernobog as he simply stood and stared in confusion. The Mane 6 has finally returned with Godfell, who all stood in front of Twilight confidently, worrying for her safety and willing to protect their friend at all costs. This was the true meaning of friendship. It's what the villains seem to lack understanding of. "It's over, Chernobog!" Shouted the group in unison, a bright light beaming from them all. Twilight smiled as she layed on the ground. Godfell took a few steps forwards. "You can believe me when I say: you're done for, Chernobog. Wanna know why? The power of friendship isn't just a simple idea. It's not to make friends. It's a force to be reckoned with. No matter how powerful you grow, you want to know what stops it? Friendship. Friendship knows no bounds, it can surpass you, and it has. But I don't need to tell you that. They can do it for you, by crushing you completely." Chernobog shook his head and looked low. "Is this why everything that surrounds you is utterly destroyed? Is that why every friend you've allied with has crumbled beneath me with their feeble attempts at confronting me? You know, the excitement I feel isn't the battle, it's the death of everything and all you love." Twilight began to steadily balance herself, finslly finding the strength to stand up. She glared daggers towards Chernobog. She didn't feel sadness, regret, or rage anymore. She then smiled. She simply smiled. A portal soon then tore open. It was the one Chernobog used to dispose of Discord. Well, speak of the Devil. Discord popped out all nonchalant-like and smirked as he ate the very chains that were meant to restrain him and chewed it up like a large strip of chewing gum. "Did you really think that The Lord of Chaos can be bound by afew chains and a portal to an abyss? I can manipulate Reality, for pete's sake! I simply gave you the feeling of victory, just so I could knock it right out of your hands." He cooed, floating above the Mane 6 with a smile on his face. "Unfortunately, the road is at a dead end for you. Perhaps you should've chosen a better route." A road randomly appeared under Chernobog as Discord's clone held up a bright yellow sign that spelled the words 'DEAD END'. Classic Discord. Chernobog became increasingly and royally pissed off by all of this absurd bullshit. "Allow me to feed your ego by giving you an applaud." He snapped, very slowly clapping. He grabbed ahold of his massive hammer and chucked it at the group, but it shattered like glass as Discord snapped his fingers. "You should be more careful, Glass is sharp, you know." The shards shot back at him like bullets, which caused him to cover himself with his arms. "Do you have any idea what you've just done?!?" Chernobog exclaimed, clenching his fists. "That hammer has lasted for millennia, you can't just-" "Utut tut tut." Godfell said, wagging his finger. "Enough with the boring dialogue, we have quite a lot to get through." Godfell then winked behind his helmet, surrounding Celestia and Luna with a magical Aura and healing their wounds, reawakening them from their unconsciousness. They stood up and groaned with grogginess, but soon gained awareness of the situation. Celestia took a stance almost instantly after she was made aware, glaring at Chernobog as if she were about to battle him to Tartarus and back. "Chernobog." She growled. Chernobog took a light bow to mock her. "I wouldn't jump in so soon if I were you, don't want to kill you again and humiliate you." Chernobog smiled. Rainbow decided to join in on the moment and audibly scoffed, sauring into the sky a few feet with her confidence. "Yeah right, thick skull. You AREN'T getting jackshit this time! We'll beat you so badly that you'll regret ever coming back!" Chernobog bellowed out hysterically, cracking his neck. "All this tough talk is makin' me a wee bit HUNGRY!" The ground started to split open and crackle from the immense pressures of his strength as he powered up. This was easily going to be a fight well faught. He can't underestimate a damn pony in this wretched hell hole. Even him and his Narcissistic ass has limits. The thick, red aura that surrounded Chernobog emitted a heat that caused the environmental temperatures to skyrocket through the roof. In a matter of moments, almost all of them were sweating beads, other than the obvious outliers, Godfell, Discord, and Chernobog himself. Despite such a shift in environment, the Mane 6 stood as strong as ever. They could care less about anything. They knew that, if they were to ever fail, they'd go out together. There will be absolutely NOTHING that will stand in their way any longer. The final battle has arrived. Author's Note Wow, so I've finally decided to return. About time! I plan to finish this story up soon enough, but don't worry! I have many more ideas along the way afterwards. For now, there will be two more chapters following this one, which will be the final battle, and the Epilogue, so stay tuned! //-------------------------------------------------------// The Grand Finale & Epilogue //-------------------------------------------------------// The Grand Finale & Epilogue Well, here we are. The final battle that determines the fate of Equestria, and possibly existence itself. Chernobog has gone all out against the Mane 6 and their allies in the hopes to overturn destiny once again. ~~~ Chernobog scowled greatly at the group, thoughts and doubts flooding his mind as they stood in their stances, motionless, waiting for each other to do something. Make a move, speak, ANYTHING! But it was as if they froze time, silently gawking at each other like it was a game. Chernobog seemed to hesitate, slightly jerking his neck a bit. Steadily, Chernobog took a powerful step forward, creating a quick, yet potent and noticeable shockwave that blew towards the Mane 6 and disoriented them temporarily. He then charged forwards with a shout following him and fired hundreds of needle-like magic bullets their way. Confidently, Twilight would create a magical force field, gradually approaching Chernobog at the same time. The bullets hardly made a dent in her field. Her horn glowed brightly, teleporting her and her friends away from Chernobog, reappearing right behind him. She then swooped above him and blasted a massive beam down on him. Chernobog quickly paused, skidding in the ground once he noticed she teleported behind him, but failed to react fast enough to acknowledge the massive blast that dwarfed him. The beam engulfed him and blasted him through one of the remaining mountains within the area, grunting loudly in pain. He let out a howl and shattered the remainder of the mountain into tiny pieces. Before they all fell on the ground, they paused midair with Chernobog's telekinesis and fired at multiple angles, striking Twilight continuously. "Congratu-fuckin-lations! You made me even more pissed off than what I'm already at! I applaud you!" He clenched his teeth tightly as he bled. He then scoffed, smiling ever-so-slightly. "It's okay..." His tone lowered, and he was hardly audible. He flash-stepped from the obliterated mountainous region back to where Twilight was and kneed her in the jaw, grabbing the top of her head to rise her to his eye level. "You're still worthless, no matter how powerful and big your beams may get." He mocked in a higher pitched tone. Twilight headbutt him, hard, her horn stabbing his right eye, causing him to drop her and stumble back, holding his eye in pain. "You fucking BITCH!" Twilight stood tall and approached him once again. "I know that even the worst creatures can change... but, you're already long gone. I see that now. I have no more regrets, and I don't have anything else to say to you." Chernobog wiped his eye off and simply stared at her. "Well, at least I was a good influence." He chuckled, making a fist, causing the debris to smash Twilight in a large ball of rocks. Twilight soon blasted the pieces away without much struggle and split the land that Chernobog stood on apart, chucking it in the distance with Chernobog. "Yes, but I couldn't be one..." She replied somberly. Chernobog clenched his fingers on the chunk of land and chucked it down on Twilight as he gently landed on the ground. Twilight's horned glowed, dusting the chunk of land instantly. Twilight looked down at the ground, a single tear falling down and melting with the ground. Her friends soon accompanied her with worried looks. Twilight then looked up and smiled, joining hooves with them all to truly finish this. Chernobog balled his fists and grinned. "You think Friendship magic is going to actually harm me? Grow up, already! This is reality! I've seen this all before!" He mockingly shouted, shaking his head. The Mane 6 ignored his advances at persuading them and smiled with utmost confidence, rising into the air slowly as light beamed through them. Twilight then spoke up. "I want to apologize for not getting to you sooner, Chernobog... but this is a good ending." Their eyes glowed a bright white before a massive rainbow beam protruded from them, arching over in the sky and striking Chernobog as he helplessly winced. The light blinded everyone to reveal Chernobog trapped in the notorious Stone Prison in his final position. Godfell blankly blinked, placing his arms out in surprise and confusion. "That's new... I don't think I've ever seen such power output before... with nothing but friendship. This is easily the weirdest world I have stumbled upon on my long journey." The Mane 6 landed back down as normal and looked around at the devastation that occurred, the realization hitting. "O-oh my, this place has really been destroyed..." Fluttershy muttered worryingly. Godfell examined Chernobog's new and permanent home, flicking it with his finger. He was kind of zoned out, pondering what in the Hell just happened. This whole friendship thing bamboozled him. He was brought back down to Earth when he noticed a blue hoof wave in his face back in forth. "Huh? Sorry, I'm here!" They seemed to gesture to the destruction. Godfell slouched in response. "Listen, I'm not the local maid. You're just going to have to clean this up on your own and figure it out withOUT me babysitting, err, foalsitting." Twilight laughed a bit. "I think we can handle it. This isn't the first time this has happened, afterall..." She thought of pretty much every villain they have faced up until this point. Yeah, there were probably one too many times this has happened, but hey, practice makes perfect. ~~Three Months Later~~ Ever since the 'Chernobog Incident', things have actually gone smoothly for once as a "postwar" world rebuilt itself back together, which was quite quick. The castle in Canterlot, which had been completely demolished amidst the battle, was nearly half-way complete, with the slight help of magic here and there to speed up the process. Meanwhile, The Mane Six were out on this nice day with Godfell, sitting at a table in Ponyville. "These past three months have been great, but now that the world is becoming normal again, I'm going to have to leave to fulfill my duties once more." Godfell stated. He was kind of sad that he was leaving. These ponies were actually fun to hang around weirdly enough, and they had a great time in such a short amount of it, just without the Chernobog bullshit. Now that it's all coming to an end, he couldn't help but get attached. "You'll come back eventually, riiiiight?" Pinkie asked, her face near his all of a sudden. "Uh, maybe, I'm sure I can find the time eventually, Ponk." He backed up a bit, chuckling. They all soon laughed with him. Celestia, the Sun Goddess herself, soon made an appearance in Ponyville and smiled towards the group. They turned to her before walking towards her with smiles on their faces as well. Godfell followed suit. "It's certainly been a pleasure visiting Equestria, Princess." Godfell proudly said to Celestia, his hands behind his back as he slightly nodded his head. "That's wonderful to hear. I know you won't be here for much longer, so I thought I'd personally thank you for protecting our world." Celestia replied with a kind, motherly voice. "It's quite alright, I do this for all of my subjects in the Universe, and I'm glad you give respect in my work throughout it. I'll be visiting soon again, but I have lot to do, even if it doesn't seem like it..." Godfell scratched the back of his head. "I'd enjoy your return quite a bit. But please, take the time you need. Your duties as a Deity should come first." Celestia felt humbled towards Godfell in a warm way. A suitcase appeared by Godfell's side as he grabbed onto the handles. "How about one last group hug?" He said, his arms out. The Mane Six and Godfell embraced tightly for a moment as a goodbye, but it certainly won't be the last. After saying his final goodbye's Godfell left Equestria on a good note, and one he would definitely be keeping in the books. Author's Note And that's the end of this story!
