Load Full StoryIt was another peaceful night in ponyville, the denizens were sleeping peacefully under the covers of their beds. Nothing in the world was more serene than this image, a whole town was dead quiet nothing could ruin this moment.

Be twilight sparkle, currently in the middle of pacing back and forth on the verge of a panic attack, she was muttering thing such as "oh no no no." "Kindergarten" "the lobster costume!" Her musing were interrupted by spike, her faithful assistant and younger brother groggily rubbing at his eyes.
"Twilight.." no response "Twilight." Yet again no response, the tiny reptile let out a loud sigh and walked up to the frantic mare and spoke one more time. "Twilight".
She obviously ignored him and continued pacing, her thoughts getting louder and louder to the point of where spike covered his ears.
"TWILIGHT!" spike finally yelled out.
The mare in question jumped a bit as she looked around the library before suddenly looking down at spike. "Wuzzuhh..hu- oh spike!"
Mr. Reptile wasnt amused, he looked up at her with his arms crossed "yes twilight, I've called your name three times.. do you even know what time it is? Everypony is as-" he sighed and stopped in the middle of his sentence.
"What's even got you up and about anyways?" He futilely asked us at the mare, who in return grinned sheepishly "I uh.. was experimenting with the cross dimensional spell..you know..the one that brought back that weird glove?" Spikes non existent eyebrow raised "what about i- dont tell me…".
She softly chuckled "i kinda...tried to..bring something back...preferably alive and sapient?" She said while turning her head away from spike.
He stared at her long and hard, his mind too used to twilight shenanigans as he simply face palmed. "Heh… what else..?"
"I may have do-" her explanation was cut off by screams, not one but many blood curdling screams that were followed by explosive noises.
This stopped the duo in their tracks as they both listened to the noise.
"What wa-" spike was cut off by an overpowering roar resonating throughout the library, shaking it to its core. While two ponies here tried to regain themselves, other were having a much more deadly time.

Private Howard was not having a good day, first a hole appeared out of nowhere in the Iraqi desert and next thing you know his whole squad gets pulled into a forest. He gave a small sigh as he readjusted his rifle in his arms and looked at one of two Humvees in the front and back of the squadron.
One watched the front while the other watched our flank, the men on the turrets swiveling side to the side as they scanned the forest.
He turned to his left and looked at a yellow soldier walking next to him then back to the other twenty or so men.
-
"I swear..if I ever found out what brought us here, I'm going to fill it with lead!" I turned as an outburst from a squadmate rang out, sporadic 'urrahs' responded to that.
"Cool it soldier" a calm and collected voice rang out, it was the general. His authoritative voice brought silence over us as we plodded through the eery forest. The only noises heard were the casual animal and the gums of the Humvees.
"We keep moving until we break out of this forest..damn it all if i-" his voice was cut off by the sound of metal bending.
Simultaneously, everyone's head swiveled over to the front of the convoy where the humvee lay smushed into the grassy forest floor, the blood of the gunner splattered over the bent metal.
"Oh my god.." I heard quietly ring out as we all stared at the wreck, my first thoughts were what could have done this..nothing jat shatters metal like that!
"Everyone weapons up" the sergeant yelled out as he pulled out his sidearm, the rest of us following suit with our rifles, and or LMGS. The Humvees gunner readied his weapon and looked at the surrounding area.
-
Silence once again filled the air, the once eery forest turned deadly as three of their own had been killed mysteriously. The soldiers were all on edge as they anxiously looked around.
An unlucky solider would turn his head and look into the darkness of the forest, he would take a few steps forwards as what he thought was a silhouette, turned out wrong once two bright eyes stared back at him.
"Holy shi-" a voice rang out before a sickening crunch could be heard, our attention was dragged to the humongous jaws. Blood splattered on it's dark muzzle as it raised its head and the torso less body of 'private ryan' slumped onto the ground.
I wasnt the first one to scream, as I joined in once the screaming was loud enough to where the sergeants voice was barely heard.
"WEAPONS FREE. FIRE!"
Gun fire ensued.
Bullets were flying everywhere as the shadowy monster pirouettes above us, the loud chain gun broke through the noise and shot into the air, I dodged as a dark projectile nearly hit me.
I continued firing as I heard the screams of my squadron ring our, I dumped my mag on the fast monster.
A man to my side was lifted into the air and pulled into the shadows where his screams stopped.
"I cant see it!"
"Its too fast!"
"It took andy!"
"Ahhhgh!"
This was getting too much for me, my rifle ceased its shooting as I looked down at the empty mag and back up to the battle.
The shooting. The screams. The monsters loud roaring..
"Its too much.. I cant.." I fearfully looked up before tossing the rifle onto the floor and ran into the deep sea of trees.
The loud gunfire raged on as I ducked behind a tree and dropped to the ground, reaching into my holster and pulling out my sidearm.
I shakily brought it to my head as I shook.
