This is just a small one shot, I wrote this for fun this is not based on my real life or anything.

Easter Sunday
It was a sunny morning outside, after all it was easter Sunday. I sat up in bed and I was drooling because I had a spasm.
I couldn't control my movements, so my arms were flailing around.
Even though that we were not Christian we still celebrated Easter, our family has done so for generations.
One day when I will have children I want to continue this tradition of celebrating Easter.
My mom came into my room, and saw that I was still drooling, so she got a towel and wiped the drool off my chin.
“Hey Pastel you ready to go downstairs to have breakfast?” My mom asked as she helped me to get dressed, which wasn’t an easy task considering I just had a spasm.
“Yes,” I slurred.
“Now remember if Dark says something you don’t like just go with it,” My mom advised.
Dark Snow was my mom's coltfriend, we got along with each other, although sometimes I don’t like what he says.
“Hey Pastel I invited Pinkie and Twilight to come over so you have some friends to celebrate with, is that ok?” My mom asked me as she carried me down the stairs.
I nodded as my mother put me in my seat.
Dark came downstairs looking rather angry, as he sat down across from me I could feel his eyes digging into my soul.
“Honey what’s wrong?” My mom asked Dark.
“Your daughter kept me up all night!” He accused me.
“I’m sure she didn’t mean it,” my mom whose name was Ocean Breeze said.
“Well, thanks to your no good daughter, my night was awful!” Dark shouted.
I sat there and started to cry, my mom tried to comfort me as she hugged me.
“See what you did?” She asked. I was drooling once again, but this time my mother didn’t have time to fetch a towel.
“Dark, help me out here!” My mom shouted.
“Ok, ok!” Dark huffed, then he got up and got some towels, my mom put them on the table of my wheelchair and put one around my neck.
“That’s better?” My mom asked me.
I nodded my head yes.
“Dark we need to talk!” My mom said getting up and going into the living room with Dark following her.
In the living room, my mom sat down and Dark sat beside her.
“What the hell happened, I understand that sometimes you and Pastel don’t get along, but yelling at her, that’s low even for you, I think you should go apologize,” my mom said.
But unbeknownst to them I could hear everything that was going on in the living room.
“Why do you care, I should have never gotten to know you!” Dark shouted then I could hear a slap and my mom crying out in pain, Dark had hit her again, I was afraid that the relationship wouldn’t end well, easter Sunday had been ruined and all I wanted to do was crawl into a hole and never come out.
Once Dark had exited the living room and strolled over to me and sat down.
I didn’t feel comfortable with him being there.
Most ponies thought I was mentally retarded because I couldn’t speak and I drooled a lot, my mother's coltfriend was no exception.
He thought because I can’t speak I must be mentally retarded, and he treated me that way too, only my mother and my close friends could understand.
Then there came a knock on the door, my mother went to open the door trying to hide her bruise that Dark had so carelessly given her.
“Hey Twilight, Pastel is just in the dining room, where is Pinkie?” My mom asked as Twilight came into the house.
“Pinkie will be here any second,” Twilight said strolling over to me and sitting down.
“Hey, Pastel, how are you today?” Twilight asked, I could only shake my head no.
Twilight pulled out my communication book from her saddle bag.
“You left this at my house,” she said giving it to me.
My communication book was very special to me, without it I couldn’t talk at all, on one side it had pictures with words underneath them, and on the other side it had the alphabet so if I wanted to spell something I could.
“Now what do you want to tell me?” Twilight asked.
I flipped open the communication book to show the side with the pictures on it, I tapped “help” and “not ok.”
“Why are you not ok?” Twilight asked me.
My mom forgot to strap down my arms and my legs, so they were flailing around, I accidentally hit Twilight.
“Ow!” Twilight yelled out in shock.
“Sorry,” I tapped with a look of sadness in my eyes.
“It’s ok, I know you didn’t mean it,” Twilight said as she wrapped a wing around me.
“Spasm” I tapped out on my communication book.
“You had a spasm?” Twilight asked me.
“Yes,” I tapped.
“Oh, sweetie, i’m sorry, hope your Easter Sunday hasn’t been ruined,” Twilight comforted me.
But it had been, but I couldn’t tell my best friend that so I shook my head.
Some drool ran down my chin, but Twilight didn’t notice as she was too busy reading the book she had gotten for Easter, I moaned loudly to get her attention.
Twilight finally noticed and wipe the drool off my chin.
There you go, sorry about that, I am just reading this new book I got, it’s all about cerebral palsy and how it affects ponies differently.
“Me read?” I typed out.
That got me an annoyed look from Dark who was sitting across from me, but I just ignored him.
“Yeah sure, just try not to drool, ok?” Twilight said handing me the book.
“Twilight I hate to say it but if you don’t want her to drool on your new book then why are you letting her read it, all, she’s really good for is to talk with but not even that,” Dark remarked looking up from his newspaper in annoyance.
“Dark I don’t know what your problem is, why can’t you just accept Pastel for who she is,” my mother chimed in from the kitchen.
“Because she’s not my child, she’s your retarded offspring, not mine, If my wife hadn’t left me and instead produced a retarded child I would’ve had her abort the child!” Dark bellowed trying to throw himself at my mother, but my mother stepped out of the way and Dark smashed into the cabinets headfirst.
Dark got up and rubbed his aching head, “that’s what you get for telling my daughter that she’s retarded,” my mother yelled back, “now get out of my house!”
“Then I’ll have to sleep on the couch tonight,” Dark sarcastically commented as he walked out.
“Well that relationship went down well, not,” I thought to myself as Twilight and my mother hugged me.
That same night Lunas moon shone brightly in the night sky, I laid awake and thought about what Dark had said about me. Was I really that retarded or did he just say that so that he could get his way, i’ve known him for a while now but he’s never been this mean to me before, what did I do, why did I deserve this twisted body, why did my mother keep me as a baby? Those were some of the questions that jumped around in my head as I fell asleep.
But I couldn’t sleep, even though that my mother had kicked Dark out of the house, I could feel a presence with in my room, and indeed at the foot of my bed there stood a figure cloaked in dark robes playing a pan flute.
The next morning I got up, I still have that feeling that somebody was watching me while I slept last night, I swore I could’ve heard panflute music playing, when I told my mother she said I was crazy, only Twilight believed me who had stayed over at my house for the night.
My mother made me my favorite blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and butter.
I could see that my mother was still shaking from the altercations between her and Dark yesterday morning at breakfast.
“Hey mom did you hear panflute music yesterday night?” I tapped out on my communication board.
“No I didn’t, what are you talking about Pastel?” My mother asked taking away my communication book and placing it on the cupboard.
“Now it’s time to eat it’s not time to talk, ok?” my mother said as she fed me my pancakes, but I wasn’t focusing.
“Pastel, do you want to eat or not?” my mom asked me.
I moaned loudly pointing at the communication book.
“No first we are eating then we can talk, ok?” My mom insisted.
I gave up trying to tell her that I want the communication book instead I let myself be fed.
My mom picked up the last piece of pancake on my fork and guided it into my mouth.
“So now what did you want to tell me?” my mom asked gently wiped my mouth.
I pointed at the communication book and gave a loud frustrated scream.
My mom picked up the communication book and laid it on the table of my wheelchair.
“Last night I heard pan flute music, and felt a presents in my room,” I typed out but my vision went blurry and I started to cry.
“Oh sweetie, it must’ve just been a bad dream,” My mom said comforting me.
But then out of nowhere I could hear panflute music, I turned to my mother and gave her a look as if to say, “I told you so”
“Hey I can hear it too, who’s out there? let me go check,” my mother said as she went to the front door.
As she open the door she could see Dark sitting on the front steps playing a pan flute.
“What are you doing here, please don’t tell me you’ve been here all night,” My mother said.
“I have been here all night I wanted to ask you for your forgiveness, I didn’t mean what I said about your daughter, I just had a bad moment,” dark said apologetically.
“Wait right here I’ll be back,” my mom said as she went back to me.
“It’s Dark he wants my forgiveness, should I give it to him?” my mom asked me,
“Yes,” I struggle to get out.
My mother left the dining room and went back to the open door.
“We forgive you,” my mother said to Dark.
“Good, I hope I’m back allowed in the house, I hope Pastel can forgive me for what I did to her.” Dark said.
“I am pretty sure she can, you know what you did was pretty rotten.” My mom said letting Dark back in the house.
“Pastel, i’m really really sorry for what I said, can you forgive me?” Dark asked.
“Yes I forgive you,” I tapped out on my Communication board.
My mother me and Dark hugged, unbeknownst to us Twilight had come down the stairs and was watching.
“That’s the sweetest thing, I’ve ever seen a family making up how cute,” Twilight sad.
“Hey Twilight come join the hug,” my mom said as Twilight joined in the hug.
When Twilight’s mom had picked her up, and Dark had left, I turned to mother and looked at her with sadness in my eyes.
“What’s wrong Pastel?” my mom said with a worried look on her face.
“I miss dad, I didn’t want him to leave me!” I tapped out on my communication bored which my mom had placed in front of me.
“I’m sorry that you miss him sweetheart, but I am afraid that you cannot see him because of this whole virus thing, your dad has a heart condition which makes him more vulnerable to the virus, I think we need to talk about what the virus is, and why we need to be careful,, ok?” my mom said to me.
“OK,” I tapped out.
“You’ve probably seen the news, all of Equestria is under quarantine because of the virus, this virus is deadly than the flu, a lot of ponies have died from it, that’s why we need to wash our hoofs constantly, we need to wash after every meal and we can’t go outside because of the virus is contagious, so I am afraid that you cannot see your dad.” my mother said gently.
“When is this going to be over?” I asked my voice very slurred.
“I don’t know, the doctors and scientists are going to make a vaccine for this virus,” my mom answered my question.
