Chapters The Dazzlings and the Human
It was a quiet morning is what I would say if it wasn’t for the loud yelling in my house and the source of it was two of the three teens I decided to care for.
“Girls, girls, what’s the matter?” I say getting in between them and separating them as well
“aria is being mean to me again!” Sonata said
“That’s because you are being stupid as usual.” Aria said as I pinch the bridge of my nose in frustration with the both of them.
“aria what have I told you about being mean to sonata?” I said
But she just crossed her arms and turned away from me but I put a hand on her shoulder and turn her back.
“don’t turn away from me, first you apologize to sonata, now.” I said
She huffs with her arms crossed but still turns to sonata “I’m sorry.” She said emotionless but sonata took it and nodded then walked back to the room they all shared but before aria walked off I stopped her
“now we discuss your decreased allowance.” I said and aria was very angry at that.
“What?!” She yells but I put my hand up and she just huffs then stomps to her room and slams the door as I sigh and flop on the couch in the living room.
“That girl is out of control.” I say to nobody leaning back on the couch ‘how did I get here?’ I think to myself thinking back to the time I met them
Back then I was walking home from work not really paying attention to the world around me but then I heard a noise come from an alleyway I was passing by and as curiosity took over I stepped into the alleyway expecting to find some sort of animal but what I actually saw surprised me.
There were three girls high school age digging in a trash can and pulling out scraps of food and their clothes were dirty all over the place, after some time The one with orange hair came out with an unfinished piece of pizza and offered it to the others.
“No way am I eating that!” The one with a ponytail said so the orange hair offered it to the one with pigtails but she just shook her head then the orange hair shrugged and threw the pizza back in the trash can and that was when I decided to make my presence known.
“Excuse me?” I said as they all turned and looked at me with my hands up in to show I mean no harm.
“who are you?” Orange hair asked
i came closer slowly while still holding my hands up “I’m sorry if i startled you I was just wondering if you need help.” I said but they weren’t convinced and looked at me suspiciously.
“why would you want to help us?” The pigtails girl said
“Because you clearly need it.” I said and they all looked at each other then I put my hands down “look I have a pretty big house with more than enough room for you, I can help you if you want me to.” I said
“We don’t nee-.” The orange hair one was talking but the ponytail girl cut her off.
“we would love if you helped us, we haven’t showered or eaten anything good in days, please help us.” She said with pleading eyes as the other glared at her.
“Alright if you three come with me I can give you a nice home and food, follow me don’t worry I don’t live far.” I said walking off ushering the others to follow and reluctantly they did, once we arrived at my house I let them in and guided them to the kitchen where they sat down at a table while I made them food.
“So what were you three doing out there all alone?” I asked and right before the ponytail was about to speak the others shushed her and the orange one spoke for her.
“we were kicked out of our school and home by mean people, we have been surviving by ourselves ever since.” She said.
“Well that’s just awful, what kind of people do such rude things?” I say making their plates then handed them to the three girls as I sat down with my own plate and ate with them.
After we were finished eating I gathered up the plates and washed them in the sink before returning to the table.
“now listen since I don’t want you three out there on the streets again I’m gonna make an offer, how about you three stay here with me and you can stay as long as you want.” I say as they looked at me with confusion but before one of them could speak up I put my hand up stopping her.
“But you’ll have to clean up and do the chores around here, I get paid enough to give you three an allowance but you must clean or I’ll decrease your pay, understood?” I say and they all looked at one another, then the orange hair nodded followed by the pigtails and the ponytail girls as I nodded in agreement.
“Now how about you tell me your names?” I said and they all looked at me.
“I’m adagio.” Orange hair said first.
“I’m sonata!” Ponytail said cheerfully.
“I’m aria.” Pigtail said in a bored tone then I nodded and stood up.
“From this day forward we all will be living in the same house, my name is Eric pleased to meet you all!” I said and they all nodded.

‘That was a month ago and so far they all sorta warmed up to me though during those months they weren’t well to put it in a word friendly’ I think closing my eyes to rest a bit but was awoken to adagio gently shaking me awake.
“Eric I can’t seem to find my orange brush anywhere, have you seen it?” She asked.
I pointed to the kitchen table and she walked over and found it under the table “thank you Eric.” She said before leaving as I got up.
Once I entered the kitchen I looked over at the sink and saw the dishes weren’t clean and I grumbled as I walked to the bathroom and opened the door to find adagio brushing her hair, then she turned to look at me.
“what is it Eric?” Adagio said then turned to look back at the mirror.
“The dishes aren’t done and it’s your day to do them.” I said as she put her brush down.
“can’t I do them later, I have to fix my hair.” She said grabbing some ointment and rubbing her hair with it.
“Fine, just make sure they get done.” I said walking back to the living room sitting on the couch then turned the t.v. on to a episode of ghost adventures, while watching the show I glanced up and watched adagio walk to the kitchen to wash the dishes.
Once she was done with the dishes I went to the their room and opened the door to find aria on her phone and sonata reading a magazine.
“hey I’m going out to grab a bite, want to come?“ I said as sonata nodded and got up and left then I looked over at aria but she shook her head and went back to her phone as I shrugged and left.
In the living room I walked to adagio “me and sonata are going out to eat, want to come?” I said and adagio nodded and joined sonata at the front door as I grabbed my jacket
“why are you putting that on?” Sonata asked
“Cause it said it might rain today so you never know.” I said as we headed out the door and to a diner that wasn’t too far from us but was still a bit of a walk, once we did reach the diner I got the door for the other two and we entered.
After choosing a spot A waitress came over and asked us what we wanted
“I’ll take some waffles.” I said as she wrote it down then asked the girls.
“I’ll have a corn dog.” Sonata said and the waitress wrote that down to.
“I’ll have the same as him.” Adagio said then the waitress nodded and left.
Just then the door to the diner opened and in came a group of teenagers, one of them was pretty loud I noticed as I looked at them then back at the girls but there was something wrong with them as they had slid down trying to make themselves shrink “what’s wrong?” I asked
“Nothing it’s nothing.” Adagio said but I wasn’t buying it and came closer
“adagio, sonata, what’s the matter?” I asked but they shushed me then one of the teenagers came over, it was a girl with orange and yellow hair and she looked straight at adagio and sonata.
“adagio, sonata is that you?” She asked
Neither of them were looking at here then the others came over to our table
“I don’t believe it two of the worst people ever in a diner.” A girl with rainbow hair said
“even I’m mighty surprised to see you two again.” A girl with a cowboy hat said.
“What are you two even doing here?” A girl with purple hair said as both of the girls ignored them so I spoke up
“they’re with me.” I said then they all turned to me shocked.
“and what are you doing here with them?” Rainbow hair asked.
“We’re getting food.” I stated as a matter of faculty then a pink haired one got in my face
“getting food huh I bet you’re secretly working here to steal the secret formula!” She said which made me confused.
“what?” was all I said until she was pulled away from me.
“Don’t mind her, just answer this, why are you with these two?” The fire hair one said and I was a little more confused
“because they needed help and I helped them?” I said confused but the cowgirl shook her head.
“you can’t trust them.” Cowgirl said and I looked at the girls then back at them.
“what are you talking about?” I said.
“They’re evil dude, first chance they get they’ll turn on you.” Rainbow hair said but I shook my head
“what do you mean evil, when I found them they were digging through a trash can looking for food.” I said which made most of them gasp and look at the girls as they were still looking away “I brought them to my home and fed them, they have been living with me ever since.” I said as they looked back at me.
“Is that what happened to you after our battle?” Fire hair asked but they didn’t answer and I was just confused
“battle? What battle?” I asked the girls but they didn’t answer me either so I got up and looked them straight in the eye “adagio, sonata, what battle?” I asked sternly then adagio looked back at me
“can we talk about this later please?” She said but I wasn’t having it
“no we talk about this now.” I said.
“It was just a silly band battle we had which lead to us getting ran out of the school.” Sonata said then the rainbow hair girl slammed her hand on the table
“you’re only telling a part of the story, tell him the whole thing.” She said but I got up and got in front of her
“please leave this to me, you and you friends go back to your tables.” I said but they didn’t go.
Then I got in front of adagio and sonata “go now.” I said and they all turned and went back to their tables, once I turned around i got on one knee “tell me both of you, what happened.” I said then adagio and sonata got up and pulled me outside the diner
“alright fine, me, aria, and sonata tried to use the power of music to take over the school but we were defeated and chased away by the students, there happy?” Adagio said with tears in her eyes.
“You tried to take over a school with music?” I said confused but they nodded so I just went with it “if it’s as simple as that why didn’t you tell me sooner?” I said then sonata looked at me
“cause we were afraid you would kick us out after learning the truth.” She said but I just hugged both of them at the same time
“if you think something like that would instantly destroy what we built up all these months then your both airheads.” I said as they were surprised but hugged back.
“Just next time tell me the truth first then we’ll see where it goes from there, alright?” I said and they nodded then we headed back into the diner and got our food and as we ate fire hair girl came over
“hey listen I’m sorry for what happened to you.” She said and the girls just nodded
“it’s fine.” Adagio said not even looking at her then continued eating as the girl walked off then I smiled at adagio.
“that was nice what that girl did.” I said
“I’m sure she’s just like the others though no matter how nice she pretends to be.” Adagio said while eating as I shook my head and continued eating myself, once we were done I paid for the meal and we got up to leave but before we did I went to the table the group of girls were at.
“Hey I know you guys have history but please be nice to them I’m sure you could be friends if you try.” I said and walked off followed by the two girls as we walked all the way home.
Once we got home I put my jacket up as adagio and sonata went back to their room but before sonata went back she gave me a peck on the cheek
“thank you for not tossing us out.” She said then left as I stood there rubbing my cheek shocked she just did that, then I shook off my shock and went to my room to sleep but not before noticing a strange smell in my room but I just shrugged it off and opened a window then went to my bed to sleep.

The next day after I woke up I found aria in the living room watching tv, I said good morning to her but she just huffed and turned back to her tv as I shook my head then went into the kitchen.
“So what would you like for breakfast?” I shout from the kitchen to aria but she didn’t answer so I poked my head out “aria you can at least answer me.” I said.
“Fine I’ll just take some pancakes.” Aria said and I nodded then went back into the kitchen getting all the ingredients for pancakes but I noticed we were all out of syrup so I poked my head back out
“hey aria we seem to be all out of syrup, can you walk down to the store and buy some?” I said
“Ugh why do I have to do it?” She said in an annoyed tone
“because none of your sisters are awake yet and you aren’t doing anything, don’t worry I’ll give you enough money for the syrup so you don’t have to pay alright?” I said and she just huffed but eventually nodded as I got some money and handed it to her and with that she left for the store.
After aria left sonata came in the living room rubbing her eyes.
“good morning sonata.” I said as she turned to look at me
“good morning.” She said walking and sitting down at the table “what’s for breakfast?” She asked
“I decided to make pancakes but we were all out of syrup so I sent aria to pick up some more, she shouldn’t take too long.” I said as adagio entered the room as well.
“she better not take to long I need my food.” Adagio said sitting at the table as well.
“I’m sure she’s already got the syrup in hand right now and will walk through that door any minute.” I said confidently, just when I finished talking aria walked through the door “see there she is right n...” I trailed off as I saw aria was injured and had a bloody nose so I ran over and helped her to the couch.
“aria what happened? Who did this?” I said panicking as I looked at aria then sonata and adagio came over and gasped at the state aria was in “adagio go and get the med kit fast!” I said
Then adagio rushed off and came back shortly after with the med kit and put it right beside me, then I opened the med kit and took out some bandages and wrapped them around aria’s head and arms since that seemed to be where she was most injured as aria just groaned as she tried to speak but I stopped her.
“don’t try to speak now just get some rest and focus on healing for now, alright?” I said and she nodded the laid down to take a quick Nap as I got up and turned to the others.
“aria is hurt and I intend to find out who did it, you two stay here and keep an eye on her I’m going out.” I said walking over to the door and opened it but before I left I took one look back at aria then exited the house.
Once I was outside I went on a walk to the store while looking around for anyone that looked like they were evil enough to hurt aria but I didn’t see anyone, once I made it to the store I saw the same group of girls that was at the diner yesterday so I walked over to them.
“excuse me?” I said
“Hey there partner you look like somthin’s eating you, what’s wrong?” Cowgirl asked as the others turned towards me
“well somebody attacked aria and I want to find out who, do you know?” I asked as they all shook their heads then fire hair walked up
“I saw aria walk out of this store before I entered and as I watched her some guys came out and surrounded her i think there were about three of them, then they entered the alleyway over there.” She said then pointed at the alleyway just a few steps from the store
“thank you.” I said as I rushed out of the store.
Once I made it to the alleyway I saw three thugs counting money and once I looked closer I noticed it was the same amount of money I gave aria then I got angry and went over to them.
“hey where did you get that?!” I shouted
“Huh what’s it matter to you punk.” One thug said then I came closer
“because I’m sure you just stole it from my friend.” I said then the thug looked at me up and down then smiled
“oh I get it you must be that sluts father, yeah we stole it from her and when she wouldn’t give it up her we decided to teach her what happens when we’re denied.” He said as the other thugs laughed
“Give it back to me, now!” I said then the thugs stop laughing as all of them get up and came very close to me.
“or what?” He said then I punched him in the face knocking him back as the other thugs came at me, I punched one back but the other punched my side making me grunt as I kneed him in the stomach then threw him on the ground as the thug I first punched came and grabbed me then threw me into a wall as he ran and kneed me in the stomach as I was still up against the wall then I fell holding my stomach as I coughed up some blood Then the two other thugs came over and held each arm and lifted me up.
“this is what happens when you pick a fight with us.” He said as he cracked his knuckles and started punching me in the chest and stomach but suddenly a shout came from the entrance of the alley
“hey leave him alone!” It said as I turned my head and saw it was the group of girls from earlier then the two thugs holding me dropped me on the ground as they joined their leader and looked at the group.
“or what.” He said
“Or this!” Rainbow hair shouted as they all revealed their extra ears and wings with tails then they ran at the thugs and fought them and the thugs didn’t stand a chance as they were all knocked out, once they were done the fire hair one came over to me and helped me up as she pulled out some money.
“i think this is yours.” She said as I took the money from her
“thanks for the help.” I said as they all nodded then I tried to walk out but it hurt too much to move right.
Then the cowgirl came over and let me lean on her as she helped me out of the alleyway
“don’t worry I got ya just point me in the right direction and we’ll be on our way.” She said as I gave her directions to my house.
Once I made it back home I opened the door and we entered as two of the girls came out and gasped as they saw me injured
“Eric are you alright?” Adagio asked as she came over and sat next to me
“I’m fine.” I said but sonata shook her head
“you’re clearly not fine I’m gonna go and get the med kit.” She said and left.
When adagio looked up she finally saw the group of girls standing close by and scowled “what are you doing here?” She asked then fire hair stepped forward
“we helped Eric fight off some thugs and get here, you can at least be a little grateful.” She said but adagio just continued glaring at them until I spoke up
“adagio calm down they helped me if it wasn’t for them I would probably be dead.” I said and adagio nodded
“thank you for helping Eric but you can go now, we’ll take care of the rest.” She said.
“Adagio, please they helped me the least I can do is invite them for dinner.” I said as adagio just clicked her tongue and looked away, then sonata finally came back with the med kit as I took my shirt off and noticed both adagio’s and sonata’s blush as they looked at my well toned body then sonata began wrapping the bandages around my torso as I noticed aria was missing
“hey where is aria?” I asked
“She’s in the room pouting, I think you should go talk to her.” Adagio said and I nodded but before I got up and left I turned to the group of girls
“I’m sorry I never caught your names.” I said as they all introduced themselves.
“I’m sunset shimmer.” She said plainly.
“I’m rarity.” She said in an elegant voice.
“I’m rainbow dash.” She said enthusiastically.
“I’m applejack.” She said in her country accent.
“I’m pinkie pie!” She said cheerfully
“I’m fluttershy.” These last one said quietly but I still heard her, then I nodded and pointed at the table
“would all of you mind to join us for dinner.” I asked but they shook their heads
“sorry we have to get to our homes see you later.” Sunset said as they all said their goodbyes and left then I headed over to the girls room and opened the door to find aria sitting on her bed pouting.
“Aria is everything okay?” I said entering the room and closed the door behind me as aria looked at me with shock once she saw my bandages
“what happened to you?” She asked pointing at my bandages.
“I just taught those thugs who hurt you a lesson that’s all.” I said smiling as I moved slowly making sure I don’t hurt myself too bad to her bed and sat next to her “now what’s wrong?” I said but she didn’t answer me.
“Aria look at me and tell me what’s eating you.” I said then aria looked at me with a few tears in her eyes
“I’m supposed to be the tough one of this group but I got beat by a few thugs, god I’m so weak to get beat by a few thugs!” She said but I just pat her on the shoulder
“Aria it’s okay to show a little weakness and ask for help from time to time you can’t just stay tough and stubborn all the time you know.” I say but she just looked away from me and huffed.
“Yeah well it’s because of my weakness that you got hurt.” She said as I shook my head
“I see what’s really going on, you blame yourself for my injuries and wish you were stronger so something like this doesn’t happen again.” I said as she turned back to me with tears flowing out of her eyes
“is it that obvious?” She said but not in a sarcastic tone.
“Aria don’t blame yourself for what happened to me, I went out there and fought those thugs of my own choosing you have nothing to do with it.” I said and just before she was going to speak I put my hand up.
“and stop saying you weren’t strong enough in my eyes your already strong enough to both protect your sisters and yourself but remember when push comes to shove it’s always okay to ask for help, alright?” I said as aria nodded then she hugged me unexpectedly but I hugged back.
“You see it’s fine to show a little weakness from time to time now you feel better, don’t you?“ I said as aria nodded then mumbled something I couldn’t hear
“what was that?” I asked but she shook her head
“nothing.” She said
Then she let go and I stood up and opened the door to find adagio and sonata right outside then they smiled and waved at me as I shook my head and left to go back to my room and slept for the night.

The next day was just average with the occasional yelling from the girls room to which I had to go in and deal with before things got violent, once that was settled I went to the living room to enjoy my chips I had in my cabinet.
As I sat there eating my chips and watching my shows I had a strange thought come to my head which prompted me to get up and go to the girls room where they were either on their phones or reading a magazine.
“Hey girls can I have your attention?” I said as they all put their phones and magazine down and I cleared my throat “I have an idea that I think you’re gonna like.” I said
“What is it Eric?” Sonata asked as cleared my throat again.
“Well how about instead of just laying around here, I get you three into school?” I said in my best happy tone but the looks on their faces told me they weren’t.
“Eric we can’t just go back to school not after what we did.” Adagio said and I just walked over and sat on her bed.
“Right your story about how you tried to take over the school with the power of music.” I said and she just nodded but I shook my head “listen I may not know how bad it was when you three did do that but I think you should just forget about that, I mean come on it’s been a few months since you guys were kicked out I’m sure everyone has calmed down by now.” I said but they still weren’t sure about it.
“Listen I’ll give you three some time to think about it and when you made your decision tell me but please don’t take too long.” I said and with that I got up and left as I went back to the living room and continued my show.
A few hours later all three of them came to the living room nervous “so have you made your decision?” I asked as they nodded.
“Yes we have decided to give it a try but if it doesn’t go well then you have to promise us that you’ll take us out of the school as fast as you can, deal?” Adagio said then I got up and shook her hand.
“Deal.” I said as we all nodded then the girls went back into their room and I sat back down on the couch.

“Adagio, sonata, aria come on you don’t want to be late for your first day!” I shouted as I waited next to the door with my keys in hand.
“It won’t be our first day we’ve been there before you know.” Aria said as she walked to the door.
“Well it will be your first real school day.” I said and aria just shook her head then the two other girls came over and we were out.
Once we got to the school I dropped off all three of them but adagio turned back around and put her head through the rolled down window
“Remember our deal, if anything happens you pull us out, alright?” She said and I gave the okay signal as she nodded then walked away but before I drove off as well I couldn’t help but notice the glares they were getting from the other students.
Once I was back home I decided to clean up a bit before going to sleep for the day but while I was cleaning the phone began to ring and I went over to pick it up.
“Hello?” I asked
“Yes is this Eric?” The other voice asked but I could tell from her voice that it was a woman.
“Yes I am Eric, may I ask who this is?”
“Yes I am principle celestia and I have called regarding a problem with your three girls.” She said and I instantly knew this wouldn’t be good.
“What happened?” I asked but she just sighed.
“I think it would be better to discuss this in person, how soon can you get here?” She asked
“Give me a few minutes I’ll be there soon.” I said as I hung up and went to put my clothes on then I grabbed my keys and was out the door.
After the drive I parked in the school parking lot then went to the schools principal office where I found all three of them but they had a few bruises and scratches on them and sonata appeared to be crying.
“Glad you could make it Eric please sit down.” Celestia said and I did just that while also glancing over at the girls
“What happened?” I asked and celestia cleared her throat.
“These three were caught in a fight against some students and the students tell us that they were the ones who started it.” She said and I looked over at them.
“Is this true?” I asked but they were silent until aria spoke up first.
“Well the fight is true but we weren’t the ones who started it they were the ones who started bullying sonata so we decided to protect her but they were the ones who struck first.” Aira said then I turned back to celestia.
“Did you know about the bullying?” I asked her but she shook her head.
“No by the time we got there the fight was over and the students were all hurt.” She said then I pinched the bridge of my nose.
“So did you even try to ask them their side of the story?” I asked more than a little crossed but celesta didn’t answer.
“We are here to discuss the girls behavior.” She said but I shook my head.
“No now we are discussing you not getting both sides of the story, why didn’t you ask them what happened?” I asked them she sighed
“Because I assumed they were the ones who started it considering their history.” She said then I got up and put my hands on her desk.
“You just assumed they were guilty all because of what happened in the past?” I asked but she didn’t answer so I got closer “listen forget about the past they are changed now and don’t even want to do that again so get over it and next time don’t assume something because of it.” I said very angry as she just nodded then stood up and walked over to the girls.
“I’m sorry I let the past cloud my my judgment you three are free to go and don’t worry I will talk to the students who started the fight, please go back to class.” Celestia said then the girls got up and left “as for you, if you ever speak to me in that tone again I will expel your girls without hesitation, understood?” She said and I just nodded then left.
After I left I saw the girls stand in front of the door looking at me “what is it?” I asked then adagio stepped forward.
“Have you forgotten our deal already?” She asked then I just sighed and put my hand on her shoulder.
“Listen I’m sure it was just a simple misunderstanding-.”
“Misunderstanding?! Those guys went out of there to bully sonata when she was alone trust me there is no misunderstanding.” Aria said and I was surprised that she was willing to defend sonata like that.
“Listen how about we wait till the end of the day to discuss this, we can’t exactly do it here.” I said and they just nodded then walked off as I went back to my car and went home.
After a few more minutes of cleaning i looked at the time and realized it was time to pick up the girls so I got dressed and drove to the school where I saw the girls talk to the group from the other day so I got out and went over worried something is wrong.
“Hey is something wrong here?” I asked as they all turned to me then I looked over and saw the girls with little smiles on their faces then I scratched my head in confusion “did something happen?”
“Don’t worry about it Eric these guys were just helping us out in a tough spot.” Adagio said as she still had a smile on her face
“What kind of tough spot?” I asked then sunset shimmer walked a bit closer.
“We were going to our cars when we saw a group of students pushing them around so we decided to go over and help.” She said then rainbow came over.
“We beat their butts so bad we sent them crying to their mama!” She said enthusiastically as I looked back over at the girls and then just nodded telling me that it was true.
“Well alright then since all seems fine here now I guess we should leave.” I said ushering the girls to the car but before we left sonata hugged pinkie pie
“By see you guys tomorrow!” She shouted as she ran to the car and I noticed how she said tomorrow and smiled then we drove off.
While we were driving I decided to ask them a question “so are you girls going to stay?” I asked but adagio and aria squirmed in their seat and sonata was the one to speak up.
“I want to stay.” She said as the other looked at her shocked.
“But sonata what about those other students who hurt you?” Adagio said and sonata just looked away.
“I just thought it would be nice to see our friends again since they helped us with those bullies and all.” She said and I nodded the looked at the other two in the mirror.
“What about you two?” I asked and they just looked around before answering.
“Well since sonata is not the smartest with this kind of stuff I guess I might as well go to help her.” Aria said and sonata seemed to get a bit angry from that but adagio put a hand on both of her sisters shoulders.
“And I might as well go to keep these two out of trouble cause you never know.” Adagio said and I smiled at all three of them.
“Well then it’s decided you three shall stay in school and stay out of trouble.” I said
“No promises.” Aria said and I shook my head
Once we got back home I made them dinner and once we were done eating we all went to bed.
The Dazzlings and the Human
It had been a few days and I could tell that the girls were starting to like going to school especially considering that they made up with that other group of girls that have helped them and I felt like I could trust them too, from when I dropped off and picked up the girls from school I could see them chatting it up with their new friends and I was glad that they were able to accept them despite their past from what the girls told me, I still find it hard to believe that they tried to take over a whole school using music, it just sounds a little too far fetched for me but I'll just leave that to the side since they don't seem to like it when it's brought up but my curiosity was too much so I walked to the living room where Adagio was sitting and watching t.v.
"Adagio, can I ask you something?" I asked and she turned to me
"Of course Eric, ask away." she said so I went and sat down on the couch next to her
"Why do I get the feeling you and the others are hiding something from me?" I asked but she had a small confused look on her face
"I...don't know what you mean." she said and I felt nervous asking her this since they didn't like it when I brought it up but I felt I needed to get some kind of answer
"I'm talking about how you and the others have tried to take over a whole school using music, I feel like there's more to the story than you're letting on." I said and Adagio turned away from me
"Eric listen, there are just some things someone like you shouldn't know this is one of those things so, can you please stop asking about it?" Adagio said
I was going to ask again but I felt like that would be prying too much, I was the one who let them into my own home so the least I could do is let them have their secrets, I shouldn't demand they tell no matter how curious I get so I put my hand on her shoulder and nodded
"Alright, if you don't want to talk about it then I won't force you, you can tell me when you feel like it." I said and Adagio smiled
"Thank you Eric, by the way, is something burning?" Adagio asked and I smelt it to and immediately got up and ran to the kitchen to see Sonata burning a pot of macaroni and cheese
"Sonata!" I quickly said and she turned to me and smiled
"Oh hey Eric, I hope you don't mind if I try cooking." Sonata said being the innocent girl she was so I just sighed and walked over then I moved her out of the way and turned the pot off
"Sonata, we talked about how I do the cooking around here, why were you cooking?" I asked while putting the pot in the sink to cool it down
"I wanted to try cooking myself, you're always doing the cooking around here so I wanted to help out." Sonata said and I couldn't be mad at her even though she ruined one of my favorite pots so I pat her on the shoulder
"That's really sweet of you but maybe I should stay in charge of the cooking." I said
"Oh, alright." Sonata said looking down sad and I felt my heart break
I sighed "But maybe I can teach you how to cook every now and then." I said and she looked back up with her smile but I put my hand up "As long as you don't try to do it yourself, we do it together, alright?" I said and she nodded "Good now you can leave the pot cleaning to me."
"Okay." Sonata said then she left the kitchen and I got to work on cleaning the pot of the burnt macaroni and cheese
Sonata is a good girl but I need to make sure she doesn't make this mistake again, I don't need any more of my favorite pots ruined especially when they were a gift to, I like to take care of things I get whether they are simple small things or things like this pot, maybe I should go and buy Sonata her own cooking pot for when she wants to make food
"Hey Eric, someone's knocking on the door." Sonata said peeking back into the kitchen and I turned to her while scrubbing the pot
"Can you get it for me? I need to deal with this first." I said and she nodded then disappeared and I could hear the door opening
"Hello, I'm Sonata, who are you?" Sonata said as I could recognize her voice
"Wait, what are you doing here and where's Eric?" the other voice said and I knew I heard it somewhere but couldn't place it
"Oh Eric, he's in the kitchen washing out a pot." Sonata said
"and why are you here?" the voice asked
"Um, we live here, now who are you?" Adagio asked and I'm guessing she got suspicious of the person
"What do you mean you live here? Eric lived alone the last time I checked." the voice said
"Wait, how do you know so much about Eric?" Adagio asked
"Because I'm his sister." the voice said
As soon as I heard this I go wide-eyed and grab a dry rag to dry my hands on then I stepped out of the kitchen to see my sister, she was a simple girl with a normal body and had her brown hair in a ponytail, I quickly walked over and got in front of Adagio and Sonata
"Alright you two, no reason to be suspicious anymore." I said then I turned to my sister "Emilia, say hello to Adagio and Sonata, these two along with another are staying with me." I said and she glanced back and forth to me and the girls then she suddenly grabbed my arm
"Come here." she ordered and dragged me outside and closed the door behind her "Explain, now."
I rubbed the back of my head "I found them homeless and digging through the trash for food, I felt bad for them and decided to take them in, they've been staying with me for a few months now." I explained
"You took in some girls." she said and I nodded "You let them stay with you." I nodded again "And you've been taking care of them ever since." I nodded for the last time and she smirked and elbowed me in my side "Well look at you, my little brother is finally moving up in the world and has three cute girls in his own home, I didn't think you had it in you." she said
I shook my head "It's not like that at all, I couldn't just leave them out there in the cold with no home to go to so I gave them a home." I said and she just nodded
"sure , whatever you say." she said and I shook my head again and walked back to the door and entered to see Sonata and Adagio on the couch acting weirdly but blew it off
"Adagio, Sonata, this is my sister Emilia." I said then Emilia walked forward
"Hey, sorry for being suspicious of both of you, I didn't know that my brother had others living here since he rarely calls " she said and I knew that was mostly addressed to me
I chuckled nervously "I've been busy so I never had the time." I said looking away from her
Sonata was the first to walk forward "It's okay, we didn't know Eric had any family." she said and I looked at her
"What do you mean? of course, I have a family." I said then Adagio stood up
"To be honest Eric, you never talk about your family so we assumed you didn't have any and decided not to ask you about it, just in case it was a bad topic." Adagio said and I couldn't help but nod
"I can understand that I should have at least told you about my family just in case something like this did happen." I said
Emilia pointed at Adagio "So, you're Adagio?" Emilia said and Adagio nodded then she pointed at sonata "And you're Sonata?" she asked and Sonata smiled and nodded "Alright, I'll remember that, wait I heard Eric say there was another one, where is she?" she asked and I walked forward
"She isn't one for introductions, you might meet her later depending on her mood." I said and she nodded then I waked to the kitchen "Does anyone want anything to eat? I have finally cleaned the pot to cook." I said and they all answered with a 'yes' so I got the pot ready for cooking then Sonata walked in
"Hey Eric, can I cook?" she asked and I turned and pat her shoulder
"Not this time, you still need to learn, remember?" I said and she nodded then left me to my cooking

When someone knocked on my door the last person I expected to find was my own sister and since I never told her I took in some girls when she met Sonata and Adagio she was both confused and surprised and so after they got acquainted I decided to cook for them and made some soup and after I was finished I gave each of them some bowls
"Dig in." I said and they did
While they ate I made two more bowls, one for me and the other was for Aria if she ever decides to come out of her room then I went and sat at the table with them and ate then Emilia looked up from her food to the girls
"So, how long have you been staying here?" Emilia asked getting both of their attention
"About a few months, we haven't stayed here long." Adagio said
Emilia nodded "Where did you two come from?" she asked but both of them stayed silent "Come on, you had to have live somewhere before coming here." she said but they didn't answer so I decided to speak up
"Come on Emilia, if they don't want to say then we should leave them, we shouldn't pry." I said and I could see her eye them suspiciously but nodded her head nonetheless and continued eating
After all of them finished Adagio and sonata washed out their bowls and went back to their room but before Adagio left I gave her a bowl to take to Aria then I went over and sat on the couch to watch t.v. but then Emilia walked over with her arms crossed which is never a good sign
"What's up?" I asked
"Oh nothing, just the fact you know nothing about these girls you took into your own home." she said and I shook my head
"I do know some about them, I just think that if they want to keep their secrets then I should let them." I said but Emilia rubbed her head
"That's not how it should work though, if their secret was something simple then don't you think they would have at least told me when I asked?" Emilia said and I thought about it for a moment "I'm sorry to say this but whatever they are hiding is so big that they don't want you nor me to know what it is and that means we have to know."
I rubbed the back of my head "What if they are hiding this secret because it's something bad? it might be painful for them to remember something like that, I don't want to do that to them." I said and Emilia rolled her eyes
"I doubt that, if it really was some kind of painful memory, don't you think they would have told you that it was?" she said and I couldn't help but understand that point and nod
"What do you even suggest we do? if we ask them outright then they'll brush it off." I said and Emilia thought for a moment
Emilia looked like she just got an idea "How about we take them to the circus? they can have a good time and when it's over they'll probably open themselves up to us."
"Hm, the circus will open tomorrow and I guess this is also a good chance for them to get out more, alright I'll agree to this but if it goes wrong then I was never a part of this, alright?" I said and she nodded "I'll go tell them about the circus and see if they'll go, no promises though."
I got up and went to their room but once I got there I heard them talking and usually, I would just knock so they would stop talking and know I was coming in but this time they were talking about something else from their usual conversation so I decided to put my ear to the door to listen
"Eric's sister is super suspicious of us, I could see it on her face, she might pry about our past and the truth." Adagio said since I could recognize her voice
"Why don't we just tell them?" Sonata asked
"Are you crazy? you two already told him about what happened at the school back then, now you want to tell him who we are?" Aria said then she sighed "Eric is a good guy for a human but we shouldn't tell him, in case you forgot we all agreed to not tell him the truth and it's gonna stay that way."
"I just feel bad holding secrets from Eric, he took us in out of his own kindness the least we can do is tell him we're-."
Emilia walked over to me "Eric, what are you doing?" she asked and I quickly put a hand on her mouth and shushed her but then the door was open so I quickly removed my hand to see all three of the girls looking at us so I chuckled nervously
Adagio spoke first "Eric, what are you doing in front of our door?" she asked
"I was just about to check and see if Aria ate her food, I did make it for everyone." I said
"So you didn't hear anything?" Aria asked and I looked at her putting on my best clueless face
"I did hear some kind of talking but I couldn't understand it, was it important or something?" I said and they all looked at each other then back to me
"No, it's fine, what did you want to tell us?" Adagio asked
"Well Emilia and I were talking and wanted to know if you wanted to go to the circus." I said but they had a confused look
Sonata raised her hand "What's a circus?"
"Wait, have any of you ever been to a circus?" I asked and all of them shook their heads "How have none of you been to a circus? let alone heard of one?" I asked but they just shrugged "Well, how about you come with us to the circus? we can show you around and you can decide if you like it."
"I want to go and see the circus, it sounds fun." Sonata said while Aria and Adagio thought about it a bit more
Aria sighed "I guess I'll go, I just hope it won't be one big boring show." she said and Adagio nodded
"I guess if they're going I might as well tag along to keep them out of trouble." Adagio said and I nodded
"Alright, the circus opens tomorrow, trust me you're gonna love it." I said then I left and walked back to the living room while Emilia followed
"It's going better than I thought, all three of them are going which might increase our chances of learning their secret." Emilia said then she walked over to me "By the way, I saw you with your ear to their door, What did you hear?"
I glanced away then back at her "Nothing, as I said I couldn't make out what they were talking about even with my ear to the door." I said and she sighed
"Well, looks like we'll have to do this my way then if you didn't get your answer." she said then she walked to the door "I'll be staying at a hotel for tonight, I don't want to miss the circus nor the juicy details, see you later." Emilia said then she was gone and I rubbed the back of my head
I could not believe I was gonna risk the girl's trust in me just to learn their secret but Emilia did make some good points, if the secret they were hiding really was that bad then they would have told me or at least warned me about how bad it was so I should at least know why they are hiding it, the only thing I know about them is what happened back at their school other than that they are still a complete mystery, the circus is tomorrow so I should go and get some rest myself
once I walked past their door I knocked and looked inside to see them either reading magazines or on their phones "Is everyone alright?" I asked and they all nodded so I closed their door and went to my own room and went to sleep early
I was shaken awake by someone and when I looked I saw Sonata shaking me so I sat up and stretched
"Sonata, what is it?" I asked
"When is the circus starting? I'm so excited that I can't sleep." she said and I chuckled
"It won't be until." I had to check the time on my phone "A few more hours, wait it's five o'clock at night, how long have you been awake?" I asked
"I said I couldn't sleep, I didn't know It was so late." Sonata said
I shook my head "You should go to sleep if you want enough energy to enjoy the circus, I'm still surprised that you nor the others have been to one." I said
"Well, we never heard of a circus before so we never went, now that I have I can't believe we wasted our time gaining power instead of having fun." Sonata said and I raised an eyebrow at her
"Gaining power? what are you talking about?" I asked
Sonata quickly covered her mouth "Oh shoot, you weren't supposed to hear that." she said then she quickly walked to the door "I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
"Wait." I said stopping her from leaving as she turned back to me "You know you can trust me right, we've known each other for months but I still don't know much about you or the others so if you're still holding something then I would like to know to get to know you guys better." I said
Sonata sighed "I'm sorry Eric, I want to tell you since you've been so nice to us but Aria and Adagio but mostly Aria feel like you shouldn't know about that part of our history and it wouldn't be right if I told you without them knowing." she said
I nodded "You're right, it wouldn't be right sharing a secret you all agreed to keep a secret, but I just want you to know that I'll be right here when you feel like sharing, Alright?" I said and Sonata nodded
"Alright, good night Eric." Sonata said as she waved goodbye and I waved back then she left and I went back to sleep myself

"Come on girls or else I'll head to the circus myself." I said as I put on my shoes then Adagio and Sonata walked into the room and I looked up at them "Where's Aria?" I asked
"She said she'll be here soon." Adagio said and right then Aria walked into the room to
"Alright, let's hurry up and go, I just want to get this over with soon." Aria said
I stood up once I was done with my shoes "Alright, let's go, trust me you guys are going to love the circus." I said walking out the door and to the car
"I doubt that." Aria said as she and the others got into the car
While I drove us for a bit we eventually arrived at the hotel that my sister was staying at and we picked her up then I drove us to the circus and I could see the girls looking at it from the window and after I parked the car we left but before we went straight to the circus I had to make a few rules so I stopped the girls before they walked off
"Hold on, before you go running off I need to set a few things for all of you." I said and they all groaned and I put my hand up "Don't worry, you'll all have your fun but first, don't ask for anything expensive and don't go off on your own, we stay together, alright?"
"Yeah, yeah, can we go now?" Aria said and I nodded then they walked right past me and to the circus
Emilia walked next to me "can I ask for something?" she asked and I shook my head
"You have your own money, use it." I said then I walked after the girls
When we walked around the circus the first thing Sonata asked for was something pretty expensive so I had to deny her which made her sad and I couldn't resist her sad face and bought the stuffed penguin for her and after, Adagio and Aira did some stand games and they were both frustrated with how they sometimes won against the other and lost and I couldn't help but enjoy their little competitions, I was hoping Sonata would join in on the fun but she was happy with her stuffed toy so I left her and after Adagio and Aria had their fun at the stands it was time for the main event
"Come on, you've had your fun but now it's time for the show." I said as I pointed at the big tent in the middle of the circus
"What's in there?" Sonata asked
I smiled "Only one of the best shows you'll ever see, this is really what people go to see when they go to the circus." I said then I started walking to it "Come on, this is something you'll remember for the rest of your lives." I said and they followed me to the tent where we took our seats and the lights went off as the ringleader stepped into the middle of the place
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the greatest circus on earth, I trust you enjoyed our games but now it's time for the true show to begin and to start our performance, it is bull and the clowns." the ringleader said then out came a bunch of people with a bull as they waved at everyone then out of nowhere a car appeared and a bunch of clowns stepped out of it despite its size
I looked over at the girls they were amazed at the clowns getting out of the small car then we watched as the clowns were playing around with the bull which made everyone laugh and after that, some new people came in on tightropes and they were doing loads of tricks which put all of us on the edge of our seats, then came in trapeze artist and they were amazing as the switched from one to the other and swung with more than two people, after their performance, it was the lion tamer and he had the lions jump through normal hoops and one the lat one jumped through a hoop that was on fire then they were done and everyone clapped including the girls and I was glad they were enjoying the show then the ringleader came out
"I hope you enjoyed our lion tamer show, and now it's time for our final performance, a little melody from our lovely siren, Coreana." he said then a woman stepped to the middle and took the ringleader's spot after he stepped down, she was a tall woman wearing a black dress and her hair was a mix of red and green
"Coreana? it can't truly be her, can it?" Adagio said and I turned to her and I saw their surprised faces
"Do you know her or something?" I asked
Adagio turned to me "I don't know if it's the same person, we haven't seen her in a long time, there's no way it can be her." she said then Coreana put the mic close to her and started singing a small song and I felt myself being pulled into the sweet music until my ears were suddenly covered by Adagio and I looked up at her confused
"What are you-." my mouth was covered by Sonata then I was pulled down behind the people in front of us and I was going to remove Sonata's hand but Aria added her own hand to keep my mouth covered and after a few minutes they removed their hands and Adagio looked past the people at the middle of the ring "What are you three doing?" I asked
Sonata shushed me "Keep your voice down, we can not get caught." she said and I was confused
"What is going on? why are you three being so sneaky?" I asked then Adagio got down
"We need to leave, we can't stay here." Adagio said and the other two nodded and I was going to say something but she stopped me "We'll explain later Eric, just follow us." she said then she and the others crawled behind the people but I stopped and looked back at Emilia
"Wait, we need to get Emilia to." I said then I crawled back to her and shook her "Emilia, come on, we need to leave for some reason."
"Eric wait, get back here." Adagio said but I didn't listen and continued shaking Emilia
"Emilia? what's wrong with you?" I asked then the light was pointed right at me and I looked behind me
"Well, well, looks like I missed a human, let's fix this mistake." Coreana said then she put the mic back up to her and started singing but I wasn't able to hear much since Adagio quickly covered my ears again and I saw Coreana's face turn to a surprised one "Another human? wait a minute, you're not affected by my singing? how strange." she said then she walked forward a bit then she gasped "Adagio? is that truly you?" she asked and I looked back to see Adagio remove her hands from my ears
Adagio chuckled nervously "Hey, Coreana." she said then I saw Coreana smirk
"Adagio, one of my fellow sirens and also one of the three responsible for getting me caught by star swirl and sent to this pitiful world, it's so nice to see you again tell me, where are the other two?" Coreana asked then Sonata and Aria stood up "Ah, there you are, Sonata and Aria, tell me, how did you three get here?" she asked
"We uhh got sent here by star swirl too." Sonata said and Coreana laughed loudly
"Serves you three right for selling me out to save your own skins back then but now I can not only get more magic from these humans but can destroy all of you right here and now." Coreana said then she snapped her fingers making all of the people around the tent stand up "As you three can see, I have made new magic now using my songs I can take control of any simple-minded human, which now that I think about it, is all of them, CAPTURE THEM!" she said then all of the people turned to us and ran to us and I kept one of them away by grabbing him and throwing him back
I looked back at the others "What is going on? what is wrong with these people?" I said throwing another one away
"This is not the time for it Eric." Aria said then she punched one of the people away
"We need to get out of here, Eric is there another way out?" Adagio asked and I thought for a moment while fighting off another one
"This is a tent, we should be able to crawl under it enough to get out of here or tear it open." I said then Aria walked to the wall of the tent behind us and I watched as she pulled out a knife form her pocket and cut it open and I was surprised "Where on earth did you get a knife?" I asked
Aria put the knife back "After what happened that day I made sure to keep myself safe, I won't get caught by humans again." she said then she looked out the hole and down at the ground "It's not too high we can jump." she said then she jumped down and the others followed and I was about to until I was grabbed by Emilia
"Emilia, let go." I said as I struggled then I looked back at Coreana walking up the steps to me then I made a tough decision and pushed Emilia hard enough to make her fall back and let go then I jumped through the hole and ran after the girls as they waited for me
"AFTER THEM, CAPTURE THEM, I WANT THEM BROUGHT TO ME!" Coreana yelled as we all ran away
We kept running for a while until we had reached the parking lot but once there we saw some more of her possessed people guarding the cars so we were forced to run back but once we did we saw people roaming around so we hid behind one of the stands and out of sight from the people and once I was sure we were safe I turned to the girls and they looked away from me
"Explanation, now." I said
Adagio sighed "I guess we were going to have to tell you at some point, there's no point in hiding it from you any longer." she said then she looked at the other Sonata and she nodded then she looked at Aria and she sighed to "the truth is we're not from this world." she said and I was confused
"What do you mean you're not from this world?" I asked
Aria sighed "It means exactly what it means, we came from another world, a world where magic exists and so did Coreana." she said
"You always wondered how we took over the whole school, well we used our powers to take control of the humans." Adagio said and I simply nodded "we're also not humans, we're all sirens who can use our songs to make people fight each other and steal their magic." she explained and I nodded
"Wait, let me get this straight, you three come from another world and so did that woman Coreana and in that world, magic exists?" I said and they all nodded "Also you three aren't humans but instead sirens who can use your music and songs to make people fight and you also steal other people's magic?" I said and they nodded then I shook my head "This has to be some kind of joke, are you three pulling my leg or something?" I asked
Aria sighed "see? I told you he would never believe us, humans just won't believe something like this." she said and Adagio pinched the bridge on her nose
"Well, we needed to tell him something, we couldn't just leave him in the dark forever not after this disaster." Adagio said then she looked at me "Listen, Eric, you're gonna have to believe us on this and listen to us if you want to get your sister back." she said
I rubbed the back of my neck "All of this is very difficult to believe, another world with magic? you three sirens? I'm not sure if I can believe it." I said
Sonata stepped forward "It's fine if you don't believe us Eric but you'll need our help if all of us are going to make it out of here, Alright?" she said and I nodded
"Alright, I'll do what I can if it means rescuing my sister." I said
"Okay here's the plan, back when Aria, Sonata, and I were able to use our songs to steal magic we only did it using special gems that allowed our singing to become enchanting, all sirens have this gem it's how we are able to use our power, this includes Coreana if we can destroy her gem that should release everyone else from her singing spell." Adagio explained and I nodded
"So, how do we destroy this gem?" I asked
"It won't take much to destroy the gem, we just need to get a hold of it then we can destroy it." Adagio said then she peeked over the counter of the stand "The hard part is getting past the people she's controlling but it is possible." she said then she looked back at us "Is everyone ready to go?" she asked and we all nodded then we planned how we were gonna sneak around her people and make it to Coreana to destroy her gem and rescue everyone

We were sneaking around the area and made sure to stay out of sight of everyone we met and saw while making our way to the tent but once we made it there was one of the people standing guard so we had to use Aria's knife to sneak in through the side but this was good cause now we were under and behind the stands which helped us get a good look at Coreana as she was sucking some sort of green smoke out of the people around her and all of the green smoke was going into a red gem that was around her neck
"This still isn't enough, I'm gonna need a lot more if I wish to go back to my true form and rule this world if only these humans had captured those three, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata must also have some magic within themselves and by taking that I can return to my true form." Coreana said and I looked at the girls
"What is this about true form?" I asked but Adagio waved me off
"Later Eric, remember why we're here." Adagio said and I nodded then we began moving to the outside of the stands "Alright, everyone knows their role?" she asked and we all nodded then she put three fingers up and slowly put one down after another and when they were all gone we ran in yelling
Coreana suddenly turned around shocked "What is this?" she said then we all ran at her making her walk backward "Protect me." she ordered the people and they all turned to us and ran at us
We were still running at them then I moved in front of the girls and shoulder charged into the group of people and while they were trying to push back against me the girls used my shoulders to get above the crowd and jump over them making some of the people turn around and chase after them and while they ran after the girls I did my best to push back against the group in front of me but I was losing ground as expected when faced against a whole group but I was able to peek behind them and see the girls fight off their pursuers and continue running at Coreana
"Get over here humans." Coreana said then a lot of the people pushing against me ran back to her which made me able to push back much easier until I used all of my strength and pushed the rest of the people back and made the first person fall onto the person behind him then I ran after the rest of the people while the girls had finally reached Coreana and Aria took out her knife and went to grab her "Get back!" she yelled then Aria grabbed her arm and Coreana grabbed Aria's other arm with the knife in it and kept it away then Aria smirked and threw the knife as hard as she could behind her and Adagio picked it up and went to grab her herself but Coreana moved Aria so she was in the way making Adagio stop then Coreana pushed Aria into her making both of them fall and the knife slipped out of Adagio's hand
Sonata picked up the knife "Don't worry guys, I got this." she said then she ran at Coreana but Coreana didn't do anything to defend herself as Sonata pushed her down but then before Sonata used the knife to destroy her gem Coreana put her hand up
"Wait, please Sonata." Coreana said and Sonata actually did stop and I quickly ran over and help Adagio and Aria get out of the grip of the people and push them back "Listen, I know what you did to me was wrong but I have given it some thought and I forgive you." she said and Sonata was shocked
Sonata slowly put her hand down "Really?" she asked and Coreana nodded
"You didn't want to sell me out but when faced with nowhere else to go you didn't have a choice so I forgive you." Coreana said then she slowly grabbed the knife "Can we still be friends?" she asked and once she had the knife she threw it away and held out her arms to Sonata
Sonata hugged her "Of course we can." she said then she got off of Coreana and helped her up then Sonata turned to us "Hey guys, we don't have to destroy her gem anymore, she wants to be friends agai-whoa I feel woozy." she said and we turned back to see the same green smoke go out of Sonata and to Coreana as she smirked then Sonata dropped to her knees
Coreana laughed "That was way easier than I thought, oh Sonata you fool, why would I ever forgive someone who sold me out so easily? I swore to make all of you pay for what you've done and I'll never forgive any of you." she said
Adagio turned and was about to run to Sonata but was grabbed by one of the people and she struggled to get free "Sonata, you fool, all you had to do was destroy her gem!" she said and I ran over to help Adagio but then a group of them dogpiled me and kept me down as I watched Aria get captured herself
Aria glared at Sonata "Damn it Sonata, why couldn't you do one simple task? the plan was to destroy her gem not let her go, I knew you would be the one to mess it up to you idiot." she said and I was about to say something but then Coreana stepped forward while laughing
"This scene is too perfect for me, all of the same sirens responsible for betraying me fighting each other, I'm surprised you haven't betrayed on another already." Coreana said then she walked over to Aria as she tried to get herself free and glared at Coreana "hello there Aria, I hope you don't mind if I take your magic, what am I talking about of course you don't." she said then she sucked up the green smoke from Aria making her stop struggling "That was delicious, now it's your turn Adagio." she said as she walked over to her and I struggled under the group of people
"Don't touch her." I said making her chuckle
"And what will you do if I do? you're just a lowly human, you have no magic and in no way special at all, you humans only exist to feed creatures like myself, so know your place before I put you there." Coreana said then she continued walking to Adagio and Adagio glared at her just like Aria "Don't look at me like that Adagio, you only have yourself to blame for what's to happen, look on the bright side I'll be all-powerful and take over the world while you three will be left in the mud." she said
Adagio huffed "How am I supposed to look at that as the bright side?" she asked
Coreana shrugged "I guess this is more of a bright side for me than you, now hold still." she said then she sucked the green smoke out of Adagio and once it was over she started to glow and transformed as her hair grew extra log and ears sprouted up from her head then wings appeared and she was floating while surrounded by a red aura "Oh, it feels good to finally have full power, my magic is finally at its peak while you three don't have anymore, now I will use this power to take over the whole world, nobody will be able to resist my voice but before that." she said then she turned to me and floated over "You would make an excellent slave just like the rest of the humans." she said
I glared at her "I won't do anything for someone like you." I said
Coreana chuckled "You won't have a choice, without anyone to help you, you'll become enchanted by my song easily." she said then she began singing and I felt myself being dragged into so I thought quick and made a quick decision and spat in her face making her stop singing and glare at me as she wiped off my saliva then she went to the ground and kicked me in my side making me cough but she didn't stop kicking
"Stop...leave him...alone." Sonata said trying to pick herself up then Coreana stopped breathing heavily
"You're not worth the trouble of being made or of my slaves, damn human scum." Coreana said then she began floating again "Put them in the cages in the back, I'll deal with them later." she said then the people moved all of us to the back and shoved us into a cage, and locked the door before leaving
Sonata came over to me and lifted my head "Eric, I'm so sorry, I believed her when she said she was sorry, I should have destroyed her gem when I had the chance, this is all my fault." she said as tears were coming down her face
"It's alright sonata." I said
Aria suddenly spoke up "No it's not alright, none of this would have happened if Sonata just went through with it and destroyed her gem, this is all your and your small brains' fault." she said
Sonata looked down "I'm sorry, I was fooled by her act-."
"You shouldn't have been fooled at all but what can I expect from someone as dumb as you." Aria cut her off making Sonata look even sadder "I knew including you on this plan was a bad idea, you're nothing but an ido-."
"ARIA, THAT'S ENOUGH!" I yelled making her stop talking then I sat up and coughed a bit "I know that Sonata messed up but don't you know how she's feeling about this right now." I said and Aira looked at sonata sobbing behind me "She knows she messed up and there's no way for her to make up for it but you insulting her won't make anything better." I said and Aria looked away then I crawled over to her and put a hand on her shoulder "Right now we shouldn't focus on putting people down but instead how to get out of here, so apologize to Sonata." I said
Aria sighed then looked back at Sonata "I'm sorry for insulting you Sonata." she said plainly but Sonata took it and smiled then I crawled over to Sonata
"You really did mess up when you failed to destroy her gem Sonata." I said making her look down then I hugged her close "But as long as you and the others are alright I could care less, but if that woman hurt any of you then I would have done something even I would regret." I said and I could feel Sonata hug back then we let go of each other and I looked at Adagio as she stared at what just happened between all of us "You wouldn't happen to have a plan to get us out?" I asked
Adagio thought for a moment "We could pick the lock but none of us exactly know how to." she said
I nodded "I know how to, when I was young I was locked in my room a lot by Emilia, I had to use her hairpins to teach myself how to pick a lock, after a long time I eventually did it and she stopped locking me in my room since it was useless now, do either of you have hairpins?" I asked then Adagio reached into her hair ad pulled one out then I crawled over and took it from her then I went to the door and stuck my harm past the bars and began my lockpicking
"By the way, why were you locked in your room so much?" Sonata asked and I smirked
"I kept eating her favorite cookies and cake, she always asked our parents for some but as soon as they came she locked me in my room to make sure she had them all to herself when I finally picked the lock she was forced to share them with me." I said then I heard Aria giggle
"You were locked in your room for such a stupid reason, I was expecting something like she did it for fun or something." Aria said and I chuckled
"Maybe sometimes she did, but you'll have to ask her how she felt about it after we save her." I said then I had finally finished picking the lock and opened the door "there we go since Coreana doesn't know we escaped we still have the upper hand, we can destroy that gem." I said as I left the cage but as soon as I stood up I felt a sharp pain in my side from where she kicked me multiple times and Sonata quickly came over and helped to keep my on my feet
Sonata sighed "We can't risk going to destroy her gem now, we're all exhausted since she took our magic and you're injured, we need to get out of here." she said and I saw Aria's surprised face to Sonata actually using her brain for once
Adagio nodded "I agree, we can't take her like this and there's the fact that she has become fully charged with magic, if we go out there then we're finished, we need help." she said then she got an idea from what I could tell from her face "We need the elements of harmony, as much as I didn't want to ask them for help we don't have a choice." she said but I was confused
"What's the elements of harmony?" I asked
Aria sighed "They are the group you've seen us around so much, they were the ones who defeated us when we tried to take over the school." she said
Sonata nodded "If we tell them about what's happening here then they'll come right over and take care of Coreana easily." she said and I nodded
"So, all we have to do is get to the car and get out of here, shouldn't be too hard." I said but as soon as I tried to walk the sharp pain came back making me stop and Sonata helped me by putting my arm around her shoulder "Thanks Sonata."
Sonata nodded "It's the least I can do to make up for what I've done." she said hen she looked at Aria and Adagio "We need to be a lot more sneaky since Eric is hurt, he won't be able to move much until we treat his injuries." she said and both of them nodded then Adagio moved and put my other arm around her shoulder
"You need help with moving him, none of us are exactly in top shape either." Adagio said and Sonata nodded then she looked back at Aria "Aria, be our lookout, warn us if someone is coming." she said and Aria nodded
We began moving slowly through the tent and past a few guards until we had made it under the stands from before and through the hole, we made earlier then we snuck behind each stand but as we walked through the area we eventually saw Coreana in front of a big group of people
"Finally, my circus days are over, now that I have all the power I need it's finally time I moved onto the next phase of my plan and taking over the nearest city, from there I will amass an army big enough to help me take over the world then one I have finally conquered this world I'll find a way back to Equestria and use my army to conquer that world as well, I'll rule both worlds with an iron fist and no one will be able to stop me, not even Star swirl the bearded." Coreana said then she flew high into the air "Come my army, it's time to show these humans their rightful place, under my boot." she said then she few forward then the large group of people followed her until they left the parking lot and disappeared into the forest that wasn't too far from the circus
We took this chance to get to our car and once in I started the car and we drove off and since we followed the road we didn't have to worry about running into Coreana
"We need to get to town as fast as we can, we have to warn everyone." Sonata said and I nodded
"Alright, we get to town then we do what we can to stop Coreana and her army, we also find these elements of harmony and tell them everything, hopefully, you guys are right about them being able to stop her." I said and they nodded as we drove back to town
The Dazzlings and the Human
I drove us as fast as I could back to town in hopes we would get there before Coreana could get the chance to use her magic and once we got to town I quickly realized that I didn't know where the group of girls from before liked to hang out at so I turned back to the girls
"You guys wouldn't happen to know where those girls like to go after school?" I asked
Adagio thought for a moment "I always hear them talking about going to sugarcube corner, sadly we don't exactly know where that is since we never really went with them." she said
I nodded "Right, looks like we're gonna have to find this sugarcube corner if we want to find them and stop that woman." I said then I began driving around town looking for this sugarcube corner but this was a big town and I never heard someone from where I lived talk about it or even mention it
As I drove around I didn't have much luck with finding the place until I finally spotted the group and they were going into some sort of cafe so I drove forward a bit and found that this was the place, sugarcube corner, so I parked the car nearby and we quickly ran to the shop and spotted them at a nearby table and they spotted us as well and they waved at us as we sped walked to their table
"Hey, Eric, Adagio, Sonata, and Aria, what's up with you guys? you look like you saw a ghost." Rainbow dash said
Sonata slammed her hands on the table which surprised all of them "We need your help!" she practically shouted
I pulled Sonata back "How about we explain why we need help first." I said
"Wait, help? what do I reckon y'all need help with anyway? I assume it must be some kinda big thing or else you wouldn't come to us." Applejack said
I stepped forward "It is, have any of you heard of a person named Coreana?" I asked but they all shook their heads "Makes sense, well the girls have told me that Coreana is this siren who came from the same world they did and now she is on her way here to try to take control of the whole town." I explained and I saw all of their shocked expressions
"My, that's quite a lot to take in and it's no wonder why you would come to us, we did deal with our own fair share of evil equestrian magic beings." Rarity said
Sunset nodded then she looked back at us "What did you say her name was?" she asked
"Coreana, they say she's a siren, do you know her?" I asked
Sunset thought for a moment "There are plenty of sirens in Equestria but after they were driven away by ponies back in the past, they haven't really been seen since except for those three." she said pointing at the girls
I couldn't help but think back to what she said "Wait a minute, first I hear about sirens then I hear about ponies, what kind of world are we talking about here?" I asked
Adagio put a hand on my shoulder "We'll explain later, first let's deal with Coreana." she said and I nodded
Fluttershy slightly put her hand up "Um, excuse me, but where did Coreana come from?" she asked in a soft voice
Adagio sat down in a chair "Coreana was just like us, roaming around Equestria and stealing magic from ponies when we could until we stole magic from the wrong neighborhood and Starswirl had finally found us, we tried to run but he and his friends chased us and so when we had finally found our own hiding place we all made a very bad decision." she explained but then stayed quiet for a bit and looked away nervously
"What happened next? tell us, TELL US!" Pinkie pie said leaning over the table and staring into Adagio's eyes then she was pulled back by Applejack
When Adagio still didn't talk Aria sighed and stepped forward "We decided to sell her out, while she wasn't looking we made our own escape but not before using our magic to move the hiding spot so she was exposed to Starswirl and his friends, while Starswirl was busy with her we made our escape." she said and everyone gave them their disappointed faces
"So, you three chose to save your own hides and sell out your friend all so y'all could steal more magic?" Applejack asked and all three of them nodded
Rainbow Dash shook her head "Even I'm surprised you three would do something like that, I know you were bad guys and all but that was just plain evil." she said
"You should all be ashamed of yourselves." Rarity said
I looked at each of them "I'm sure they feel guilty enough, what's done is done, now we should focus on fixing this problem so everyone and everything can go back to normal." I said
Sunset nodded "I agree, we can't change what happened so let's not make them feel worse than they already do, alright?" she said and everyone looked back at the girls and nodded "Good, as for the Coreana situation, I have a friend who can help us, I just need to get to my journal." she said
I looked at her confused "How will a journal help us contact your friend?" I asked
"Trust me, it'll help us big time." Sunset said
"Alright, so where is this journal?" I asked
"It's in my locker at school, I chose to put it there for safekeeping while I went out to eat, I was so sure that I wouldn't need it but I guess now I do." Sunset said as she rubbed the back of her neck
Sonata walked forward again "Well then let's head to school, get your journal then beat Coreana." she said and everyone nodded
We all headed out and I was going to head to my car but I realized that I wouldn't be able to fit everyone in so we decided to run to the school since it wasn't that far away anyway, we all ran to the school but once we got there the doors were closed and locked since today wasn't a school day
"Crud, the doors are locked, how will we get inside?" Rainbow dash said
Applejack rolled up her sleeves "Y'all stand back, I'll have these doors open in a jiffy." she said then she walked to the doors and she transformed again as she shoved the doors open
"Oh, I hope principal Celestia won't be too mad at us." Fluttershy said
We all walked in and followed Sunset to her locker where she opened it and took out her journal
"Here it is, now we can contact Twilight and she'll be able to help us." Sunset said then she opened it and pulled out her pen but before she started writing some singing came out of nowhere
"Is that singing?" Pinkie said
Adagio quickly ran to me and covered my ears "It's her, she's here." she said and I could barely hear her then everyone ran outside and we followed slowly since Adagio wanted to make sure I wouldn't be able to hear the singing
Once we were outside we saw Coreana in the sky singing over the city and across the street, we could also see people being put under her spell as they entered a trance-like state and stood completely still and I looked at the others to see that they were saying something but I couldn't hear them but I did see that Sunset wrote in her journal so hopefully her friend would be able to help us, however that worked, and once I looked back up at Coreana I saw she stopped singing and was looking directly at us so Adagio removed her hands and I could hear again
Coreana floated over to us "Now this is shocking, not only have I found you four annoying people again but also a few humans who seem to be immune to my spell, today is full of surprises." she said
"Oh did someone say surprises? I love surprises, especially surprise birthday parties, those are my favorite-." Pinke was cut off when Rainbow put her hand on her mouth
Coreana rolled her eyes "As I was saying, how could you humans be immune to my magic?" she asked
"Wouldn't you like to know." Rainbow said
"Hm, it doesn't matter, I can afford to lose a few humans, as long as my army is still big and strong." Coreana said then she snapped her fingers and a huge group of people walked toward us and stopped "Capture the humans, get rid of the sirens, and make sure they stay gone this time." she said then the people started walking toward us again
"We need to get out of here without hurting anyone." Sunset said
"I'll make us a path, Rarity, use your magic to make sure no one gets grabbed." Applejack said and Rarity nodded then she pushed through the group of people and shoved each one of them aside but not too rough to hurt them
"Everyone get close to me, but not too close I don't want to ruin my clothes." Rarity said and we all grouped up then she transformed and put up a shield around us and we began to follow Applejack through the crowd
"Is that Equestrian magic? this day just gets better and better." Coreana said then she began flying after us "Give me your magic, with it, I'll become as strong as starswirl himself." she said
"Oh no ya don't." Applejack said then she looked back at us "Pinke, your sprinkles." she said
"right." Pinkie said then she pulled out her sprinkle container and began eating them
"Use your magic sprinkles on her!" Applejack yelled
"Ooooh, that makes more sense." Pinke said then she put some sprinkles in her hand and she transformed then her sprinkles began glowing and Rarity opened a part of her shield which allowed Pinke to throw them at Coreana and knock her away
Just as Creana was knocked away Applejack had made it through the crowd and to the other side "Everybody, this way, hurry." she said and once we were fully through we all made a run for it and the people followed us
"You can't run forever, I'll capture you and steal your magic, just you wait, once I have your magic then no one will ever be able to stop me or my army!" Coreana shouted to us as we ran away
The Dazzlings and the Human
We ran as fast as we could away from the people who were chasing us until we wound up back at sugercube corner then Rainbow dash quickly opened the doors
"Everybody in here, quickly." Rainbow said and all of us quickly ran inside then she closed the door as we all hid behind something and watched as the people ran past the store and once they were all gone we all stood up
Fluttershy walked over to the window "Oh, this is terrible, just awful, all of our friends are being controlled by that evil woman, what do we do now?" she asked
"I say we head over to Coreana and give her a piece of our mind." Rainbow said
Adagio shook her head "No, that's what she would want, to get you to come to her so she can steal your magic easier, our best plan is to stay hidden." she said
Applejack adjusted her hat "We can't stay hidden forever, we need to get out there and save our friends at some point." she said
"What about your friend? Twilight, I think her name was." I said
Sunset opened her journal "I had her wait before she came here, if she comes through the portal now then she might get caught and we'll be out of luck." she said
I raised an eyebrow "Now there's some sort of portal?" I asked then I looked at the three girls
Aria waved her hands "Don't look at us, we don't know about any portal." she said
Rarity pats me on the shoulder "Don't worry darling, it took us a while to get used to all of this as ell when we heard of these new things, you'll get used to it to." she said
"Hold up." Applejack said as she looked around "Has anyone seen pinkie?" she asked and we all shook our heads then Pinke herself walked down the stairs with two babies in each arm
Sunset walked over "PInke? what are you doing with the cake twins?" she asked
"Well, when I saw everyone was being put into a trance during the singing I was thinking "Will everyone still enjoy my cake and cupcakes"? so when we came back here I decided to go and check on the cake and while checking I ran into these two and that's when I realized that Mr. and Mrs. cake weren't here so I brought them down." Pinkie explained with a big smile
"You mean the cake twins are alone right now?" Sunset asked and Pinke nodded
"Oh no, even the cakes were affected by the singing and without them, there's no one to take care of the babies, we can't just leave them all by themselves." Fluttershy said
Rarity nodded "Fluttershy is right, We have no choice but to take care of them ourselves, at least until we can defeat this Coreana and rescue their parents along with everyone else." she said and everyone agreed
Aria huffed "great, more baggage." she said
"Great, now that that's settled, what do we do about Coreana?" Rainbow asked
Sunset thought for a moment "We need a way to get to her without hurting the people she's controlling." she said
"How about we lure them away? we use some kind of fake us to lure them away." Applejack said
Adagio nodded "Alright, good job, you girls take care of Coreana and we'll cheer you on from the background." she said
"Oh no, you're not getting out of this that easily." Rainbow said then she walked over to them "You all got us in this mess and you're gonna help us get out." she said
Sonata shrugged "What do you even want us to do? we don't have any more magic, not since you destroyed our gems." she said
Sunset shook her head "You're not completely wrong about that, it's true ever since your gems were destroyed you couldn't use your magic but every being can use magic in some way, you just need to discover how to use it." she said and each of the girls looked at each other confused
"Wait, does that mean I can use magic to?" I asked
"I...don't think so, magic is usually reserved for equestrians." Sunset said
I crossed my arms "Well, that's just not fair." I said and Sonata gave me a pat on the back
"Alright, let's get back to the plan." Applejack said and everyone nodded then Applejack looked over at Rarity "Do ya think you can make some kind of fake us that's real enough to fool Coreana?" she asked
Rarity smiled "Of course darling, I'll make it so believable that not even Coreana would tell the difference." she said then she looked out the window "Sadly, we need to get the materials in order for me to get started and that would require us to go back out." she said
Rainbow stepped forward "I can get you the materials, I'll be moving so fast they wouldn't even get the chance to catch me." she said
"Oh no, I simply will not allow you to go out and get the materials." Rarity said
Rainbow waved her hand "Don't worry, I'll be fi-."
"Without me, of course." Rarity cut her off and Rainbow sighed "What? I don't want you getting me the wrong materials so I'm tagging along." she said and we all rolled our eyes
Applejack sighed "Well, while y'all are making the fake us, the rest of us will go and keep an eye on Coreana, just to see what she's up to." she said and we nodded
"WAIT!" Pinkie shouted and we all turned to her "What about the cake twins? we can't take them somewhere as dangerous as Coreana." she said
Fluttershy slowly raised her hand "I could watch them if that's okay." she said
Pinkie smiled but it quickly faded "Are you sure? the twins are a handful." she said
Fluttershy nodded "I'll be fine, I've taken care of baby animals, how hard can the twins be?" she said
"Alright, if you say so." Pinkie said then she handed the twins to Fluttershy
"Okay, the babies are taken care of, can we go now?" Aria asked
Sunset nodded "You all know the plan, we'll watch Coreana while Rainbow takes Raity to get the materials to make fake us to lure away the people she's controlling, everyone ready?" she asked and we all nodded
"Let's go save this town." Rainbow said and we all cheered then we were off
While Rainbow and Rarity went one way, the rest of us went another and while walking through the city we made sure to avoid any and everyone we saw since everyone was obviously still under Coreana's control and were searching for us and we even had t hide in some alleys just to avoid getting caught, we kept this up until we had finally reached the school but we made sure to stay hidden behind the trees near the school so we wouldn't be seen and we saw that Coreana had a couch sitting in front of the statue and school and she was being treated like a queen by the people she was controlling
Coreana sighed "This is annoying me, not only did you idiotic humans lose the sirens and that other human, but you also lost the only equestrian magic that I've seen ever since I was sent here, Ugh, useless humans, if I had the power to use my singing on any other animals, I would choose them over you any day of the week." she said then she opened her mouth and ate another grape "but I guess the only thing you fools will be useful for is my army, as long as I keep building it up then soon I'll rule this world and Equestria both, but before that, I need to refuel." she said then she sucked the magic out of the one holding her grapes "Good, now keep those grapes coming." she said
"Ugh, still as prideful as ever." Adagio said shaking her head
"I guess it's a good thing I told Twilight to stay away." Sunset said then she turned around and sat down "Where is Rarity and those fakes?" she said
As if on cue Rainbow had suddenly appeared carrying Rarity and she was carrying fake large dolls attached to long sticks that looked pretty much nothing like us, it had the same hairdo made out of paper but other than that, it was a very messy creation then Rainbow set her down
Sunset looked between the doll and Rarity "What are the-."
"Don't even start Sunset, I was hoping to work on them a bit more but sadly the boutique was also overrun with people so we only had time to get the materials, I worked on them back at sugercube corner and this is the best I could do." Rarity said then she handed each of us our own doll "Even I'm ashamed of these horrible creations, let's just use these to lure them away and never speak of them again." she said
Sunset nodded "These will just have to do, now we need someone to be the bait while the rest of us confront Coreana." she said
Sonata stepped forward "I'll be the bait." she said which shocked everyone including myself
"Sonata, are you crazy? you're going to risk your own life to lure away a bunch of people, don't you know how dangerous that is?" Adagio said
Sonata nodded "I know exactly how dangerous it is and I'm still volunteering." she said then she looked at the ground sad "It's my fault that Coreana was able to get this far and take control of the entire town, if only I had gone through it destroying her gem then we wouldn't be in this mess so I'm making it up to everyone by being the bait." she said
I chuckled as I walked over and took some of the dolls "Who on earth said you had to do this alone?" I asked
Sonata gasped "No Eric, I can't let you do this, this is my responsibility." she said
I hugged Sonata "This is one thing I won't let you do alone, yes you did make a mistake back at the circus but we all make mistakes but we also rely on our friends to help us fix that mistake and that's what I'm going to do now." I said and she nodded
Adagio walked over and put a hand on Sonata's shoulder "I'll help too, I won't let you do this alone either." she said
Aria sighed but walked over to "I guess I might as well help out to, think of it as my way of saying sorry for what I said back at the circus." she said and Sontata nodded
"Thank you, all of you." Sonata said then I let her go
"Okay, I'll take the Rarity and Rainbow." Adagio said picking up the dolls
Aria picked up two more "I'll take Applejack and...Fluttershy? I think her name was." she said
Sonata looked at the two reaming dolls in her hands "I guess I get Sunset and Pinkie." she said
"And I'll be the lookout." I said "I'll also help you three getaway while the rest of you take care of Coreana." I said and everyone nodded "Alright, let's go." I said then the girls and I ran to where the houses were while the others stayed behind the trees and bushes
Adagio turned to face us "So, how are we going to lure them away?" she asked
"We give her something so good that she would be a fool to ignore it." Sonata said
"What's that?" Aria asked
Sonata smiled "Follow my lead." she said then she stepped to the corner and placed two of her dolls on the corner so only their hair was visible "Oh wow, I can't believe how strong your equestrian magic is, it's so powerful you were able to repair our gems back to its usual state!" she shouted loud enough for everyone to hear
Adagio gasped then smirked "I get it." she said then she and Aria placed their own dolls on the ground so their shadows were shown on the wall "With our gems repaired, we'll be able to use magic again and become our powerful selves again and stop Coreana!" she shouted
I took this chance to peek around the corner and I saw the Coreana was looking right in our direction along with the people she was controlling
"GET THEM, BRING THEIR MAGIC AND GEMS TO ME!" Coreana shouted then the people began running this way
"Alright time to go." I said then we each picked up some dolls and made a run for it away from the people chasing us 'I really hope they defeat her soon, we won't be able to run forever.' I thought as I ran along with the girls
We ran around each house to try to lose the people chasing us but they were a lot faster than we thought so we had to run for much longer until we ducked behind another house and hid in the bushes until they all passed by or gave up then we started to hear singing so Adagio quickly covered my ears and we all watched as the people ran back to where Coreana was then Adagio took her hands away and we all left the bushes.
"That was Coreana singing." Adagio said
I scratched my head "Shouldn't she be defeated or something? and shouldn't the people be free?" I asked
"Something must have happened to the others." Sonata said then she ran forward and we followed back to our corner from before and from there we saw that the girls were being held captive by the people
Coreana walked forward then flew into the air "My old siren friends and their human pet, I'll give you all till the count of ten to show yourselves or these girls are going to be punished." she said as she looked around
We all moved back then Sonata turned to us "What do we do?" Sonata asked
"We have to give ourselves up." Adagio said
"WHAT?!" Aria nearly shouted "You want us to surrender to her?!" she said
Adagio nodded "We won't be able to get past her people to rescue them and she's still powerful, if we go out and try to fight then we'll be taken down instantly." she said then she sighed "I don't like giving up like this either but she has our friends and this is the best way to protect them." she said
I could hear Coreana get to seven "We have to make a decision and fast." I said
Aria huffed but nodded "FIne, let's go." she said
Right before Coreana got to ten we all walked forward with our hands in the air which made Coreana laugh then she had her people come and tie us up but I noticed that the person who tied me up wasn't very good and that the ropes were very loose so I could just slip out of them whenever I wanted but I decided to just stay put, I didn't want to risk the girls nor their friends, then we were moved to where the other girls were
"Sorry y'all, she got us." Applejack said
Adagio turned to her "What happened? don't you guys have superpowers?" she asked
Rarity nodded "We do but our superpowers mean nothing when your own family are the ones trying to fight us." she said gesturing to the three girls who looked the exact same as the other people, one was a redhead with a bow, one had purple and pink colored hair, and the other looked like a tomboy who had purple hair
"That damn siren." Rainbow said struggling in her ropes "She put us up against the ones we care about, we couldn't hurt them so we surrendered." she said
Coreana chuckled as she floated down to the ground "This must be the greatest day of my life, not only do I finally get to get rid of you annoying sirens but I also gain some additional equestrian magic, now what to deal with first, the sirens or the magic." she said looking back and forth at them
I tried to stand up but was pushed back down by the person standing next to me "Don't you dare hurt any of them." I said
Coreana looked at me then smirked as she walked over "I almost forgot all about you human, you and that annoying mouth of yours." she said then she grabbed my head and forced it to the ground "You should wait your turn, I'll get to you later annoying human, for now, enjoy being at the bottom where you belong." she said but I turned my head and gave her a glare but all she did was laugh then she let me go and stood up "You're going to be an annoying human in the future as long as you have that fighting spirit in you." she said then she walked away "So let's break it." she said then she snapped her fingers and the people standing next to Adagio, Sonata, and Aria all forced the girls to stand up and moved them to the middle
"Stop!" Sunset said struggling in her ropes "Don't hurt them, take our magic just leave them alone." she said
Coreana chuckled "Sorry, your magic will have to come next, for now, I want to kill two birds with one stone." she said then she faced the girls in the middle
"Do your worst Coreana." Adagio said
Coreana made an ord appear in her hand "I plan to." she said
Right before she shot her beam I removed my hands from the rope and pushed the people out of my way and quickly jumped in front of the girls and shielded them from the beam with my arms outstretched, I took the full force of the beam which left my body with many injuries and burn marks as it tore my shirt apart and after it was done I fell down
"ERIC!!!" was all I heard along with Maniacal laughter before I blacked out as my body with the ground
The Dazzlings and the Human
Coreana laughed maniacally as Adagio and her sisters ran over to Eric who was unresponsive
"Eric! come on! wake up!" Sonata yelled shaking Eric
"Eric! please don't be dead! you can't be dead!" Adagio yelled
"Damn it! come on Eric! get up!" Aria yelled
Coreana took a few steps forward "It's no use, he's gone for good, that's what he gets for trying to play the hero, he should have just let you three die at least then he would've lived longer, what an idiot." she said
Sonata along with everyone else glared at Coreana "Don't call Eric an idiot, he did what he did because he cared about us." she said as she stood up
Adagio stood up as well "That's right when we had nowhere else to go, it was Eric who took us in and made sure we had a roof over our heads." she said
Aria stood up as well "When I was hurt by some people, it was Eric who went out and made sure they paid, that goes to show that he won't let anyone who disrespects us go." she said
"So don't you dare call what Eric did idiotic, and if the roles were reversed, we would do the exact same thing for him because we care about him just the same." Sonata said and the other two nodded
Coreana laughed again "Well, since you care so much about him then you can join him IN THE AFTERLIFE!" she said then she charged up another orb appear in her hands, and as she did Sonata and her sisters held their hands preparing for the worst while the other girls tried to get up to stop her but the people made sure they couldn't then Coreana had finally shot her orb and once it made contact it exploded into a cloud of smoke while Coreana laughed maniacally but when the smoke cleared it showed Adagio, Sonata, and Aria all perfectly fine and inside of some sort of pink shield
Coreana stopped laughing and stared at them "What is this?! how did you protect yourselves from my attack? you don't have your gems which means you can't use magic, SO HOW?!" she said but they were just as shocked as she was.
Sunset gasped "It can't be." she said
Rainbow turned to her "Hey Sunset, do you know what happened?" she asked
"Twilight told me once about a time when her brother and another princess used the power of love to defeat an invasion but I didn't think I would see it here." Sunset said
Coreana looked at Sunset "LOVE?!" she said then she looked back at the girls "There's no such thing as love power, only real power." she said then she shot another orb at them but it only hit the shield so out of frustration she kept shooting orbs at the shield
Adagio and the others looked at themselves to notice they were glowing as well "This is the power of love?" she said
"It feels so much different from our other magic." Sonata said "I feel a lot more powerful than before with our other magic." she said
Aria chuckled "This feels good." she said then all of them turned to Eric whose body was also glowing which shocked them "Eric is still alive!" she said
Adagio looked at her hand then to Eric "We have to save him." she said
Sonata looked unsure "But, what if it doesn't work?" she asked
"It has to." Aria said then she grabbed Adagio's hand while she held out her hand to Sonata who nodded then grabbed her hand
All three of them focused their magic to Eric as it wrapped around his body and while it was happening Coreana continued her assault on their shield but wasn't making a dent, the magic around Eric wrapped around his whole body until you couldn't see it anymore then it glowed brightly making everyone cover their eyes including Coreana and once it was gone the magic disappeared to show Eric good as new
(First-person)
I slowly opened my eyes 'Where am I?' I thought then I slowly sat up and rubbed my eye and once I looked I saw the girls looking at me with tears in their eyes but smiles on their faces "What?" I asked
"ERIC!" all of them said as Sonata and Adagio suddenly hugged me while Aria gave me a pat on the back
I was surprised "Whoa! what's up with you two suddenly hugging me out of nowhere?" I asked then I looked forward and saw Coreana and I finally remembered "Wait, I almost died but..." I looked at the girls "You brought me back." I said and all of them nodded
"We're so glad you're okay." Sonata said
"We were so scared." Adagio said
Aria scoffed "Speak for yourself, I knew he would be fine." she said
Adagio narrowed her eyes at Aria "Admit it, you were just as scared as the rest of us." she said
Aria looked away "Okay, maybe a little." she said making Sonata and Adagio laughed then Aria glared at them "Shut it!" she said
I laughed at them "I'm just glad you three are alright to but, what do we do now?" I asked
Adagio and Sonata stood back up "We use this new power to defeat Coreana." Adagio said
I looked at her confused "What new power?" I asked then I finally noticed the shield "Where did this shield come from?" I said
"ERIC!" Sunset yelled making me turn to her "You and the sirens now have the power of love, you have to use it to defeat Coreana!" she said
"Power of love?" I said confused
"Yeah, defeat her with your new power!" Rainbow said
"It's all on y'all!" Applejack said
"Mess her up good!" Pinke said
"Show her what for!" Rarity said
I looked at them confused then Adagio held out her hand to me "We'll defeat her with the power of love." she said
I couldn't help but nod as I took her hand and stood back up "Alright, just show me what to do." I said
Adagio nodded then she stepped to my left while Sonata stepped to my right "We need to focus our magic and give her everything we got." Adagio said then she along with Sonata grabbed each of my arms making me blush
"Um, why are you-."
"Thank you." Sonata said cutting me off as I looked at her confused "For always sticking up for me and protecting us." she said
I smiled "Of course I would stick up for you and protect you, I care about you just as much as I care about my own family." I said
Sonata leaned into me making me blush harder "I love you." she said
I was surprised "Wait, wha-."
"Eric." Adagio said making me turn to her "I....l-love you." she said while she also had a blush herself
I noticed that my shirt was being tugged and I looked behind me to see Aria who also had a blush but was trying to hide it "Don't tell anyone I said this but I might l-like y-you t-to." she whispered the last part so the others couldn't hear.
I looked at each of them and smiled "I love you guys to, all of you." I said then my body began glowing and I also noticed that their bodies began glowing as well then we were all lifted into the air making the shield disappear and while the girls stopped moving up I floated above them
Coreana shot another orb at us but it didn't have any effect making her both surprised and scared "This shouldn't be happening, I'm supposed to have all the power, I'm supposed to be all-powerful, I'm supposed to win and have my revenge, so why, WHY DO A BUNCH OF TRAITORS LIKE YOU HAVE THIS POWER?!" she yelled and I could also see tears streaming down her face
I shook my head "I'm sorry for what happened to you, truly I am, but what you're doing must stop now!" I said as I felt a lot of power surge through me and the next thing I knew a pink beam shot out and went straight at Coreana and I could hear her yelling as the beam hit her, shortly after I along with the girls floated back to the ground and I looked over at Coreana to see her on her knees and her gem was shattered
Coreana looked at her gem then she scooped up the pieces "No, no, no, it can't be broken!" she said then she looked back at us and threw away the pieces "I don't need my magic to finish you four off, I'll do it with my bare hands." she said then she stood up and began walking to us but was then grabbed by Sunset and her friends "LET ME GO! LET ME GO!!" she yelled as they used the rope they were tied up with to tie her up and she continued struggling to get free as she was escorted into the school
I watched as Coreana was escorted away by Applejack and I also noticed that the people around us were finally free from her control and were looking around confused then I looked forward and noticed a car pull into the school and the one's who were inside of the car were principal Celestia and vice-principal Luna and they were looking at everyone at school
Celestia walked close to the group "Why is everyone at school on a Saturday?" she asked then she looked at me "And what happened to your clothes?" she asked as I looked at myself and noticed that my clothes were all ripped
Sunset walked to Celestia "I'll explain once we're inside." she said so Celestia and Luna walked into the school while Sunset followed but stopped when she got beside me "You guys should come to." she said so we all followed them into the school
The Dazzlings and the Human
After we had entered the school along with the principal and Sunset, we explained everything that happened from Coreana at the circus to now. And, surprisingly, she was completely understanding. At this point, I was starting to wonder if I was the only one in this town who didn't know about all of this magic nonsense and other worlds.
Celestia nodded. “I see,” She smirked. “So it's just another normal day for you girls?”
Sunset chuckled. “Seems like it.” She sighed. “I just wish we had an actual normal day without evil magical creatures from Equestria.”
I raised a brow. “Gonna be honest, this “Equestria” place doesn't sound like a nice place if people like Coreana come from there.”
Sunset turned to me. “Well, I'd say it's more of a place you have to visit yourself to understand it.”
Just then, Applejack stepped into the office, which prompted everyone to look at her.
Sunset spoke first. “Hey, Applejack. Where's Coreana?”
“I tied her up an' threw her in a closet.” She sighed. “She was real loud about it too. Kept yammerin' on and on about how she wants revenge on you three.” She pointed to the girls who were sitting around me, while Sonata hung onto my arm in a hug.
“Right. About her.” Luna brought back everyone's attention. “I was hoping you girls had a solution for her. We can't exactly keep her locked up here at a school. Think of how that would look.”
“I agree,” Celestia spoke up. “Sunset, can you contact princess Twilight and have Coreana taken back? I fear if she remains here, then she'll just cause more problems.”
I raised a hand. “Now, hang on-.”
I went ignored. “I would, but...” Sunset trailed off as she rubbed the back of her neck. “Twilight hasn't written back yet since this whole thing started. I think she might be in the middle of something.”
“Then, why don't you?”
Sunset slouched in her seat. “I'm...still not ready to go back.”
“Actually, I have a-.”
I was cut off once again. “Then we must find another way to keep her from harming anyone.” Luna held her chin. “But how?”
“I have an idea!” I made sure to say it loud enough for everyone to hear, and everyone turned to me. “Why doesn't she stay with me?” Everyone gasped.
“Eric, are you crazy?” I turned to Adagio. “She almost killed you! She almost killed us! And you want her to live with us?!”
Aria crossed her arms. “There is no way I'm letting her live under the same roof as us.”
Sonata tugged on my arm, which almost pulls me out of my chair. “Eric, you can't let her stay with us! She is too dangerous, and I won't let you get hurt again.”
Applejack tipped her hat. “I'd have to agree with em'. That Coreana is way too dangerous to be so close with.”
“Hang on, everyone.” We all looked to Sunset. “I want to hear him out, maybe it's not such a bad idea.” Everyone remained silent, then looked at me.
I sighed. “I know how dangerous Coreana is, but think about it. Her gem is broken, and you girls told me that was her source of power, which means she can't use her magic anymore. Right?” The girls slowly nodded. “Then as long as we keep a close eye on her, then she won't be able to hurt us anymore. Besides, it wouldn't sit right with me if we just throw her in jail.”
Adagio raised a brow. “Why not?”
I thought back to the moment right before our beam hit her and destroyed her gem. The face she made, and how sad she looked. After I saw that, there was no way I could just let her be thrown in some prison for the rest of her life.
“Didn't you see how she looked before we blasted her? The look of pure sadness and betrayal. She even started crying.” The others then wore a look of sadness themselves. “I don't know about you guys, but it seems clear to me that Coreana isn't just looking for revenge. She is really hurting on the inside.”
“Maybe...we should let her stay with us.” Aria and Sonata stared at Adagio in disbelief.
Aria huffed. “You're not serious. Right, Adagio?”
“I am. It's because of us that this whole mess started in the first place.” Adagio rubbed her temples. “We betrayed a siren whom we also called a sister just to save our own skins, and look where that got us. We have to show her how sorry we are.”
Sonata spoke up as well. “I agree with Adagio.” She hugged my arm tighter. “When she and Eric put it that way, I can't help but feel bad for her.”
I looked toward Aria. “Aria, please.” Aria turned away and huffed. “I understand how you feel, but we've got to do the right thing here.” I placed my other hand on her shoulder. “If not for that reason alone, then do it for me.”
Aria shut her eyes tight and groaned. “Damn it. Fine.” She turned and pointed at me. “But, if she tries to hurt anyone in any way, I'll throw her out myself.”
“Fair enough.”
Celestia cleared her throat. “Well, since the question of what to do with Coreana has finally been answered, I believe it's time we discuss the broken front doors of the school.” Applejack hid behind her hat, which made Celestia narrow her eyes at her. “Applejack?”
Applejack lifted her hat. “T-Twas' an emergency. We had to get to Sunset's journal to warn Princess Twilight.”
“I understand that, but you still need to fix it.”
Applejack nodded. “I'll get started right away.” She left the room.
“Now that that's covered, I believe it's time we all went home.” Celestia stood up. “And Eric, I must warn you.” She stepped over to me and pat my shoulder. “You're going to be dealing with things like these a lot, so you might as well get used to it.” She then left the room with Luna.
“I better get going too.” Sunset stood up and walked to the door. “Good luck with Coreana, I have a feeling you'll need it.” She left as well.
“Well.” I stood up, but Sonata continued to hang on and came up with me. “Let's go say hi to our new house guest.” Aria groaned but stood up along with Adagio, and we all left the room.
We all walked down the hallway together, with Sonata still clinging onto my arm. I had to admit, I didn't mind it at first, but now it's getting a little tiring.
I turned to her. “Sonata, can you let go of my arm? I would like to be able to move it.”
Sonata shook her head. “No, silly. I'm your girlfriend now, so I have to do this.”
Now, I guarantee you, if I was drinking something I would've spat it out immediately. Leave it to Sonata to be so blunt about it.
Before I could say anything, Adagio cut in. “Now, hold on just one moment, Sonata! You can't just declare you're his girlfriend like that.”
“Why not?” Sonata thought for a moment. “I thought when two people confessed their love to each other, then they become girlfriend and boyfriend.”
“T-That may be true, but you weren't the only one who did, remember?” She blushed.
“But I said it first, so I'm his girlfriend.”
Unexpectedly, Aria spoke up. “Shouldn't it be Eric who decides, since everyone confessed?” We all turned to her and she turned away. “Or, whatever?”
Adagio turned back to me. “Aria is right, the decision is up to Eric. So choose.”
Sonata stared at me with big eyes, while Adagio raised a brow and Aria crossed her arms. I looked between each of them as they waited for an answer.
I sighed. “Listen, I love all of you girls just as much as you do me, but I can't just choose one of you.” Before any of them spoke up, I raised my hand. “Instead, why don't we just focus on Coreana and deal with this later, alright?”
“Alright.”
“Fine.”
“Whatever.”
We continued on our way with Sonata still holding onto me at the dissatisfaction of Adagio, but I'm pretty sure I saw Aria stare with a hint of jealousy. Eventually, we had to ask Applejack for directions as we discovered we didn't actually know where Coreana was being held, then we continued on our way. As we approached the closet, we could hear sounds of struggle and a lot of yelling, then we heard something heavy fall, so I ran to the door and opened it to find Coreana on the ground tied to a chair.
I stepped towards her and got her upright. “Are you alright?”
Coreana tsked. “What the hell do you care, human? Last I checked, I'm trying to get my revenge on all of you.” She turned and glared at the girls, then at me. “Why the hell are you here anyway?”
“Well, I-.”
“Wait! Don't tell me!” Coreana thought for a moment. “Let me guess, you and those girls are gonna use your Equestrian magic to send me to some other world like Starswirl did before. Am I right?”
“No, I-.”
Coreana huffed. “What am I thinking? Of course, I'm right. Figures, I get banished to yet another world, while those three traitors get to stay here where it's sunshine and rainbows . Typical.”
“Will you listen to me please?!”
“Why should I listen to some lowly human when I already know how this story ends?!”
“Because if you did, then you would know that's not what we're doing.”
“Oh, don't you lie to me! I see where this is going! At first, I'll just believe you, then you'll all just turn around and laugh at my face as you open a portal and send me away!” Coreana gave a loud fake laugh. “Let's all laugh at the fool who was betrayed twice!” She continued to laugh.
I placed both hands on her shoulders. “Listen! You're staying with me!”
Coreana suddenly stopped laughing and stared at me. “What?”
“No one is gonna send you away.” I removed my hands. “From this day forward, you are gonna stay with me and the girls.”
Coreana started at me for a few seconds, then burst out laughing. “Okay, now I know this is some sort of trick. Someone is gonna pop out any moment now and say “gotcha”. Where are they? Behind the wall over there? You can come out now!” When no one came out, and she looked at our faces, her smile dropped. “Oh, you're serious?”
I nodded. “Of course I am. Now, let's get you out of here.” I began undoing the rope.
“No.” Coreana shook her head. “No way. There is no way in hell I am going to stay under the same roof as those three traitors. I'd rather get sent to another world, hell I'd even take Tartarus over being anywhere near those three."
"Too late." By the time she was done talking, I had already undone all of the rope. "Trust me, coming with us will be better than wandering the streets alone."
Coreana shot forward and grabbed my shirt. "And what's stopping me from killing you right here and now?"
Aria, Sonata, and Adagio all grabbed her arm. "Us."
Coreana growled and let go, then I pushed the other girls away. "Listen, we won't treat you like some kind of prisoner while you're living with us. You'll be able to go and do whatever you want, with supervision of course, and we'll leave you alone at home. You won't even have to talk to us if you don't want to."
"And if I refuse?"
"Do you really want to go wandering all over the city all alone? With us, you'll have a place to stay and eat that will keep out the cold."
Coreana remained silent and sighed. "Fine, I'll play your game, but don't try anything funny, human, or else I'm walking out that door and not coming back."
Aria chuckled. "Shouldn't we be saying that to you?"
"Who cares?" Coreana stepped past me and into the hallway. "Just hurry up and take me to the place I'm supposed to stay, human.
"Eric."
"Huh?"
"My name is Eric."
Coreana turned to me and smirked. "Oh, that's cute. The dog has a name." She looked at the girls "Did one of you name it? Did you give it a name so you can feel more attached? How adorable."
I glanced at the girls to see they were glaring hard at her. I put my arm out and shook my head, so they turned away and huffed in annoyance.
I stepped past Coreana. "Just follow me, we'll have to walk to my car first which is parked pretty far away from the school."
"Fine."
We walked to the doors to the school and passed by Applejack on the way out who waved us off but gave a glare at Coreana. When we got outside, Sunset and most of the others were there and they all looked toward us but none moved to question or stop Coreana.
Sunset stepped close to me. "It's alright, I already explained everything to them."
Rainbow shook her head. "I still don't like it. That girl is clearly an evil siren who definitely has no good in her whatsoever. She can't be trusted."
"Don't worry. We'll keep a close eye on her so she doesn't try anything."
"Yeah, but..."
"Well, I personally believe Eric will have this under control." Rarity spoke up. "Besides, he was able to take care of three other former evil sirens, no offense. What's one more going to do?"
"Alright, fine." Rainbow looked at me. "But if you need help, just come to us and we'll set her straight."
I nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." I glanced back at Coreana who had picked something off the ground so I stepped over. "Hey, is something wrong?"
I noticed Coreana quickly hid her hand. "It's nothing. Let's just get out of here. This place reeks goody-goody heroes, and I don't want the smell to get on my dress."
She sped walked past me and I just rubbed my head. "Alright then."
We all walked past them and continued on our way back to Sugarcube Corner where I parked my car last. Although, there was this nagging feeling that I was forgetting something. Someone important...I couldn't quite place it though.
Back at the school, just when Eric left, the portal in the statue glowed and Twilight stepped through the other side prompting everyone present to stand up and run over. Except for Applejack.
Everyone yelled. "Twilight!" As they wrapped her in a hug.
"Hey, guys." Twilight was soon let go of. "I came as soon as I could, but a friendship mission came up and I wasn't available. I'm sorry for taking so long."
Sunset waved her hand. "It's no problem. It was actually a good thing you didn't come through when you did. Coreana had control over the whole town."
"Wait, "had"? Past-tense?"
"It's a long story actually. You might want to sit down."
"Before that." Twilight searched the area. "Where's the other me? Shouldn't she be here too?"
"Oh, yeah!" Twilight turned to Pinkie. "She went on a trip with her brother and his wife. She said she probably wouldn't be back until next week."
"Which is why I called you, Twilight. You were the only Twilight available."
"I see. Well then, let's hear this story." Twilight and the others walked toward the stairs and sat down as Sunset, Rainbow, and Rarity began recounting what had happened before she arrived.
After a few minutes of walking, we had eventually reached Sugarcube corner and my car. While the girls got in the back, I opened the door for Coreana who stood there and looked between the passenger seat and the girls.
I raised a brow. "Is something wrong?"
"I'm debating which is worse." She looked back at the girls. "Sitting next to them , or sitting next to you."
Aria groaned. "Is all of this whining gonna be an everyday thing with you?" Coreana glared at her and Aria merely glared back. "What? You got something to say?"
I stepped between them. "Aria, please, we're gonna be living with her, so stop antagonizing her." Aria turned away then I turned to Coreana who had already sat in the passenger seat.
"I've made my choice. Dealing with you is a lot easier than having to deal with." She pointed behind her. "That. Just don't talk to me." She shut her door shortly after.
I shrugged my shoulders and got into the driver's seat. I started the car and we were off back to our house with a new addition. While driving, I took a few glances at Coreana and noticed she kept staring at whatever was inside of her hand. She held it in a position so I couldn't see.
"What's that in your hand?"
Coreana clenched her hand and glared at me. "I told you not to talk to me, human, eyes forward! What I have in my hand is none of your business."
"Hey!" Sonata leaned forward between the seats. "Eric was just asking a question. There's no reason to be rude."
Coreana didn't look at her. "I'll do, and say, whatever I want."
"Come on." Adagio leaned forward as well. "Eric is letting you stay with him out of the goodness of his heart. You can at least be grateful."
Coreana rolled her eyes. "Oh, yes. Let me be grateful to the same disgusting human responsible for ruining everything I had built up, and for destroying the one thing that made this world bearable. Thank you so much ." She turned to the girls. "By the way, I'm still not buying any of this. I'm just waiting for the moment someone appears and shouts "just kidding" as I'm sent through a portal."
I sighed. "I told you, no one is gonna send you through any portal."
Coreana looked at me and raised a brow. "You are really trying to sell me that lie, aren't you? What? Did all of you agree to only do it when I'm one hundred percent convinced?"
"What makes you think it's a lie?"
"Well, let's see." Coreana put a finger on her chin. "I tried to make you my slave, kicked you in the ribs, repeatedly, and tried to break your spirit by killing those three traitors back there. To be honest, you would probably trick me just to have it as my ultimate punishment for what I've done. It would even be poetic. My life in this world would have started and ended the same way, with me being betrayed by those closest."
"Well, that's not what's happening. I swear to you, this isn't some kind of trick. No one is going to betray you, nor send you through any portals."
Coreana merely stared at me, then rolled her eyes. "Keep repeating it over and over. Who knows? One day, I might actually believe those words. Wouldn't that be hilarious?"
I shook my head and we continued the rest of the ride in silence. I glanced at the rearview mirror to see Adagio and Sonata with sad looks on their face. No doubt they probably blame themselves for Coreana's obvious trust issues. They shouldn't beat themselves up about it now though. All they can do now is hope Coreana accepts their apologies when the time comes.
Once we had finally arrived home, we all exited the car, and I unlocked the door. As soon as they were in, the girls all sat down on the couch and let out exhausted sighs.
"Eric, can you do us a favor?" I turned to Adagio. "The next time you want to take us to a circus, don't."
I chuckled. "Oh, don't worry. I wasn't planning on going to any anytime soon." I then looked over my clothes. "I'm gonna go change. Please don't start any fights."
Aria huffed and glared at Coreana who was simply standing next to the door. "It's not us you'll have to worry about starting fights."
Coreana smirked. "Says the girl who got into the most fights with ponies who disrespected her back in Equestria. Hey, now that I remember. Wasn't it you who wanted to stay and fight Starswirl? Maybe we should be wary of you starting fights."
Aria stood up. "Big talk for someone with no fighting skills or magic."
"Try me. You might be surprised what you can learn in a few thousand years."
Before Aria did anything, I stepped between them, again. "Alright, that's enough. Aria, go to your room and don't talk to Coreana anymore."
"Fine." Aria walked away.
I turned to Coreana. "Please don't antagonize them. We're supposed to be living together, remember?"
Coreana glared at me. "You don't tell me what to do. Roommates or not, I'm not playing nice with you nor those traitors." She poked my chest hard. "Get that through your thick skull, human . The quicker you do, the quicker we can go back to hating each other's guts instead of...whatever this is." She walked past me and shoved my shoulder. "I need a shower."
I sighed and pinched my nose. "This is getting us nowhere." I looked at the other two girls. "Can you two-."
"Ask Aria to play nice with our new "guest"?" Adagio finished my sentence and stood up along with Sonata. "We'll try, but we all know how stubborn she can be."
"Just, try your best. I need to throw this shirt away." I walked back to my room to change my clothes.
Coreana easily found the bathroom, considering there were only three doors, and the human's door was already open, it wasn't really that hard. She stepped into the bathroom and made sure the door was locked and proceeded to open her hand and stare at a shard from her broken gem that she didn't throw away. She stared at it for a full minute then softly placed it on the sink and proceeded to remove her dress and step into the shower.
'What the hell am I doing?' She banged her head on the wall. 'I should've just said no and walked away from that disgusting human. Who cares if I wound up on the streets? At least I would be away from those three. But no, I just had to join them, didn't I?' She looked at her shard on the counter then grabbed at and sunk down but turned so the water was hitting her back.
'My gem. The one thing that was able to get me through so many hard times in this world, broken by the same people I'm now living with. What a joke.' She held the shard close to her chest. 'I should've just left.' Tears pricked her eyes but she refused to let them fall, instead, she wiped her eyes.
Coreana took a deep breath and tried to sing a soft melody, but it was horribly off-key. Despite that, she kept trying over and over. She only stopped when a knock came on the door.
"Hey? Are you alright in there? Sounds like you're in pain." She heard Eric's voice through the door and her mood immediately soured.
"Why the hell should you care if I'm hurt?!"
"So you are hurt? The medkit is in the closet if you-."
"No I'm not hurt, you idiot! Just go away! Even if I was, I can take care of myself!"
"Alright." She heard Eric's receding footsteps and sighed.
'God, I hope I get sent through a portal soon.' She rubbed her head in frustration. 'Maybe I'll get lucky and be sent back to Equestria. At least there aren't any humans there that can annoy me.'
Once she was done with her shower, she dried herself off with the towel and was about to put her dress back on until she noticed just how dirty it was from everything that had happened today. Despite how much she loathed it, she knew she needed new clothes and the only ones available were the Dazzlings. She tied the towel around herself and hid the shard in her dress and carried it to the Dazzling's room where she found the three of them on their own respective beds.
Adagio looked up from her phone. "Coreana? why are you-."
"Clothes. Now."
Adagio simply pointed at one of the two dressers in the room. "You can borrow some of mine, I guess."
Coreana made her way to the dresser and laid her dress on it as she dug around for anything she might like. She settled for a pair of tight jeans with a green crop top and an open short-sleeved red overshirt.
"Finally."
"Don't ruin them. Those are some of my favorites."
"Don't care." She snuck the shard into her pocket then walked out of their room.
I had maned to find myself a normal brown T-shirt with some sweat shorts. I was enjoying my time relaxing on the couch after everything that had happened, but life felt it necessary to bother me as Coreana stepped into the living room with new clothes on.
"I'm tired. Where the hell am I supposed to sleep?"
I thought for a moment. "You can take my bed."
"And have to deal with that disgusting human smell on my clothes. I'd rather die."
"Well...you could-."
"Don't even suggest it."
I rubbed my neck. "Well, the only place left is the couch."
"Couch it is. Now move."
"Hang on, I'm watching something."
She grabbed my shirt and pulled me off the couch. "Don't care, I'm tired. Watch when I'm gone. Should probably be by morning. Unless you and the others made other plans." She laid down on the couch and turned away from me as I stood up. "And no, I'm not getting into another debating match with you. Too tired to deal with you right now. Just wake me up when you're ready to open it."
I shook my head and left the remote on the t.v. and returned to my own room. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tired. Maybe it's best to just sleep it off and hope things will be better in the morning.
I had just made it to my room and was about to get into bed when a knock came on my door. I opened it to find Adagio standing there.
"Hey, Eric, can we talk?"
"Sure." Adagio stepped into my room and sat on my bed while I sat next to her.
"I'm sure you know what's, or whom, it's about."
"Coreana."
"Yeah." Adagio nodded. "I just feel awful for what we did to her all those years ago. I just want to go and apologize, but..."
"But, what?"
"I just feel like she'll only end up hating us more."
"You won't know unless you try." Adagio still looked unsure so I placed a hand on her shoulder. "Listen, I may not be that much help, but I know an apology can really help mend a broken relationship. I apologized to my sister every time I've done wrong by her, and yes she was a little angry, but she eventually forgave me. I'm sure if you tell her how sorry you are, then everything will be alright."
"Right," Adagio smirked and nodded. "I guess it couldn't hurt to try." She gave me a peck on the cheek. "Thanks, Eric."
"Uh, no problem." As she left the room I softly touched my cheek and shook my head. 'Those girls.'
Without any more disruptions, I finally laid down on my bed, but my thoughts were slowly drifting back to my sister...and the circus...and Coreana.
I shot up in my bed. 'Oh, crap! I forgot about my sister!'
Emilia had ended up in a part of town she didn't know and was walking around aimlessly.
"How on earth did I get here? Where is here? Where's the circus? Where Are Eric and the others? And why am I covered in twigs and leaves?!" She screamed out in frustration. "What is going on?!"

I know, I know, My grammar on the other chapters sucks, compared to this one. Well, guess what? I made this book like years ago when my grammar and spelling sucked. I don't even know if I want to go through the trouble of fixing it either. It's too much work. But I might, eventually, maybe. And I swear to god if I see ONE comment talking about my grammar and spelling on the other chapters, I'm gonna jump into snow butt naked.
