The Insignium

With a quick flash the 1. Equestrian Space fleet appeared in the orbit over Equestria and the Insignium neared the station and her Captain opened the Holocom interface and said:

“Space station Celestia this is the Insignium request permission to dock.”,

“Affirmative Captain please dock at Airlock 2!”, the husky voice of a worker sounded through the speakers,

“Citrus get us docked”, the Captain ordered. The Insignium slowly docked and a helm went up to the Captain and explained:

“Captain this is the data pad you wanted with the scans.”,

“Good, thank you princess Twilight will be very interested in what these scans say!”, he answered. And with that he trotted towards the airlock and into the station,

“Bring me to Canterlot, NOW!”, he ordered the shuttle pilot with anger in his voice. After the shuttle landed, he trotted to a taxi station and said

“Bring me to the castle please”, so he gave the driver his money and the taxi brought him through the skyscrapers of the capital straight towards Canterlot Castle. He walked nearly raced trough the hallways and into the chamber not even giving the guards enough time to open the big old doors, looked the princess directly in the eyes and shouted angrily:

“WHEN DID YOU WANT TO TELL US!”,

“Whatever do you mean?”, Applejack asked,

“We nearly got killed out there by this new type of Changeling ship and look what these scans say!”, he said his voice still full of anger and threw the data pad over to them nearly not giving the princess a chance to catch it with her magic,

“Project Liberty Class…. Assigned by Princess Twilight Sparkle and Minister of Defense Rarity.”, she mumbled and then asked, “Where did you find this?”,

“My helms extracted it from the System data this is part of the original Data pack all their ships are made with!”, the Captain answered with still a bit of anger in his voice.

“We should tell him, Girls, don’t you think?”, Twilight asked around and her friends nodded,

“Tell me what?”, the captain asked,

“Sometime ago we started a secret project called Project Liberty Class, it was intended to be a long range Railgun ship to destroy any shield and enable us to better fight the changelings.”, Rarity explained but before she could continue the captain cut her off his voice once more filled with rage:

“So let me get this straight: You build a ship strong enough to destroy the Insigniums shield and didn’t think of telling anyone about it?!”,

“Essentially yes and about a week ago the newest prototype who didn’t have enough power yet has been stolen.”, Rarity continued,

“Oh let me tell you it had power alright one shot brought our shields down 25%, and we had six more lined up to shoot without the rest of the fleet we would be toast now!”, the Stallion explained. Suddenly the sound of a yellow Pegasus mare sounded in the earpiece of the captain:

“Captain I’m getting strange Energy readings here.”, the captain immediately snapped out of his anger and asked: “What do you mean Citrus?”, “It looks like a shitload of warships……. Holy fuck Sir an army of about a dozen enemy ships just warped into the system this is an invasion!”, she shouted.

“Princess my lead helm just said the changelings just launched an attack on Equestria! We-”,he started but was cut off by another scream,

“Anti magic grenade!”, a guard shouted as something rolled into the chamber. A shockwave went through the chambers and Twilight dropped the data pad as the little ball detonated and the non-unicorn guard transformed showing what he truly is and raised a rifle at the princess

”All hooves up you don’t have your magic your defenseless!”, the changeling hissed,

“Didn’t you forget something!”, a voice sounded from next to the changeling, he turned to stare right down the barrel of a Colt M1911 the pistol of choice of the captain,

“I don’t need to be a unicorn for this!” he said with the gun in his mouth.

BLAM.

The shot echoed through the chamber as the changeling collapsed with a hole between his eyes.

” Captain you need to fight them off!”, Rainbow Dash shouted,

“I will!”, the captain replied while charging out of the chamber. The captain raised through the hallways to the taxi station

“Bring me to the Space port”, he ordered the driver

“I’m sorry dude but I’m gonna get out of here”, the stallion replied, the captain not having time to search for another taxi just lifts his gun and shouts:

“SPACE PORT NOW!”,

“Ok dude chill I’m getting you there!”, he replied taking off towards the port, the captain tapped his earpiece and explained:

“Citrus detach the Insignium immediately launch the drones and ready the weapons, I’m coming through Hangar 3!”,

“Affirmative, Sir!”, sounded the shocked voice of the mare from his earpiece. The captain raced into the next best shuttle and commanded:

“Pilot fly towards the Insignium and land in Hangar 3”, the Pegasus took a quick look at his radar to identify the Insignium and lifted off flooring the gas.
