Princess Twilight Sparkle was happily skipping on the sidewalk. The people were watching her and they couldn't help but smile at the skipping princess. Twilight was so excited to surprise her friends here in the human world. She had waved to strangers and they waved back with smiles on their faces.
I'm so excited to meet them! It's been so long since I last visited them. I was happy when Sunset has been telling me stories about what was happening on her life. I'm so glad that Sunset is able to become a role model to everyone.
A few skips later, she reaches her destination, Sugarcube Corner, and enters to immediately scan the crowd, looking for her friends. She smiled as she saw her equestrian friend, Sunset Shimmer, surrounded by this world's version of her friends, including her doppelganger. Twilight was so happy to see her friends, looking really free and happy, chatting away without a care in the world.
They haven't seen me yet. Whatever they're talking about must be important, if they weren't curious to see who just entered... Hmmm, I wonder if I can... A crazy idea of scaring her friends popped into her mind as he slowly tiptoed towards the direction where her friends, while crouching and having a sly evil smirk on her face.
"I'm telling you guys, we have this battle of the bands in the bag!" Rainbow proudly yelled as she took a big chug of her milkshake, while her friends and bandmates did not have that same optimism.
"I wouldn't be so confident about that, Dash. Sure we have some great songs, but they've all been the same ones we used before and after we defeated the Dazzlings." Sunset said with concern, not noticing Pri-Twi getting closer as the fashionista voiced her opinion as well.
"I'm siding with Sunset in this. She does have a point. We have gotten quite lazy with our music lately, darling." Rarity responded. Rainbow just simply lets out a huff and puts down her milkshake.
"Like I said, relax. We got this one. I mean, we always win in the end." Rarity rolls her eyes at her friend's arrogance and drinks her juice as Applejack joins in.
"If we lose to the Phoenix tonight, we're low-key blaming you, Dash." Applejack replied, causing Rainbow to get into her face.
"Blame me? Since when was this lack of confidence around me, huh? I thought of the idea of starting this band and the name. Show some faith in me, will ya?" Rainbow shouted in anger, causing Fluttershy to hide behind Pinkie in fear, while Pinkie simply had a smile on her face as she just finished what was probably her 15 cupcake.
"Of course, we have faith in you, Dashie. Like you said, you're the leader of the band, but not taking the people's opinion you're leading to heart is bad." Pinkie said as she pulled out another cupcake from out of nowhere and managed to calm down Fluttershy out from behind her.
"Like a super bad thing to do. Like me eating that super duper sour grape licorice Gumball for breakfast or letting a weird blue Hedgehog drive a car. It's best to hear our ideas and suggestions, otherwise we're going to end up like stale sweet Taffy at the contest." Rainbow relaxed a bit after hearing her bubbly friend's unusual advice.
"Fine... I guess we could try to work something out before the show, but don't say don't do anything nice for you girls, especially AJ." Rainbow said harshly as she and AJ were glaring at each other as they pressed their foreheads together, nearly nose-to-nose.
"Sooo... I guess we agree I'm trying to work on a new song then? Twilight (Sci-Twi) awkwardly asked as she had a pen and notebook ready to write out ideas as her Circle of Friends (minus Dash and AJ) nodded in agreement.
"Affirmative my sweet dorky friend, let's write another masterpiece! Also, hiya Twilight!" Pinkie randomly yelled as she waved her hand like crazy as Sci-Twi waved back all confused.
"Uhhh, hi Pinkie?"
"Oh, sorry Twilight, didn't you mean, I mean-"
BOO!!!
The girls (minus Pinkie) let out a loud shriek as the princess finally made her presence known by a well-placed scare, who was now on the floor laughing. Princess Twilight couldn't stop cackling from what she had done while the others were super shock and scared of the prank. After a few seconds of laughing, Twilight had calmed down and waved at her friends.
"Hi girls."
The girls immediately got up and hugs the princess. Twilight giggled and enjoys the warmth of the hug from her best friends. She could hear the girls questioning about why she hasn't been visiting and how was her home land. She was just giggling and answers all of their questions.
"Okay y'all. Twilight needs to sit down. She just got here." Applejack said and guides the princess to the couch.
"Thanks AJ and sorry for scaring all of you, but I couldn't resist the opportunity." Twilight said happily before giving Pinkie a playful glare. "Well, almost all of you. I will get you one day, Pinkie, especially since you almost gave away my position."
Pinkie let out a giggle as she began to twirl a bit of her long puffy hair. "Sorry, Twiggy, but you'll never scare me as long as I have my pinkie sense on my side."
"Is that a challenge, Miss Pie?" Pri-Twi responded as she leaned over the table to get close to Pinkie, glaring directly into her eyes
"Maybe it is, your highness... What are you going to do about it?" The hyper girl replied as she glared right back at her royal friend.
After a few seconds of silence, the two girls ended their glare as they burst into laughter with their friends laughing along.
"No way, I would ever do anything about it! I learned my lesson the first time but the Pinkie Pie in my world." A giggling Pri-Twi responded as she sat back down to her seat. The girls were confuse for a second but later on sat next to the princess.
"So Princess Twilight, what do we simple peasants own this great pleasure of your visit?" Sunset jokingly said with a smile on her face as Pri-Twi playfully punched her shoulder.
"Well, this may be hard to believe, but I wasn't actually planning on visiting you guys so soon, however Princess Celestia figured I took a nice quick vacation away from my duties. After some thinking and planning, I came here to surprise you all... Literally." Pri-Twi said with a sly smirk on her face.
"Awesome! So that means you'll be staying two watches kick butt at the Battle of the Bands this weekend!?" Rainbow Dash shouted with excitement as she pumped her fist into the air, nearly hitting AJ in the process.
"Oh yeah, Sunset mentioned that in our last book chat." The princess said with a smile, before it turned to a small frown. "Although, from what I heard a little bit before I scared you all, you girls seem to have trouble creating some new songs again, huh?"
The Rainbooms sheepishly looked away or scratched their heads in embarrassment as Fluttershy chose to step up and answer. "Y-Yes Princess. Unfortunately, ever since we returned back from Camp Everfree a few months, we've all been lacking that special gift of writing new songs... Especially me..." Fluttershy answered sadly as Pinkie Pie rubbed the back of her head for comfort.
"Alright, Fluttershy, don't be sad. Remember when I was scared to fight the Dazzlings by your side, and I struggled so hard to counter their magical songs with my own?" Fluttershy looked towards seeing her royal friend who had a comforting smile on her face.
"I failed to help you write a song in time to stop them, but at the last minute it was you that helped us all save the day. I'm confident in you..." Pri-Twi briefly paused to look at all of her friends, before continuing. "And all of you as well that you create something special for that contest and win or not, you'll be the highlight of the show just before."
The Rainbooms felt a fire of passion lit up from underneath them from the emotional speech their Royal friend had given them as Rarity was the first to speak up, while wiping away some small tears of happiness from her eyes.
"Bravo, darling, and you're right! We can't give up just because we're in a creative slump! We have to keep moving forward and continue to show the world why our songs are always deserving of a spotlight!" Rarity shouted with pride as the rest of her friends nodded in agreement!
"Yeah, what Rarity said!" Rainbow joined in as she stood on top of the table, nearly knocking down some of the drinks. "We're beating the odds in the past and wowing the crowd before and do it again! Especially with you, Princess Twilight!"
Rainbow hopped off the table as she pulled a surprised Pri-Twi out of her seat and put her arm over her shoulder. "With you by our side and helping us out, we'll create the most awesomest song that Canterlot has ever heard!" Rainbow proudly yelled with her fist in the air.
"Uhhhh I think it's fantastic that you have some new found confidence in yourself, Rainbow... But I'll just be supporting and cheering you on from the sidelines." A nervous tone came out of the princess's voice as she nervously backed away from a now shocked Rainbow.
"What!? B-B-but why!? We could definitely use your help!" A frantic Rainbow yelled as Pri-Twi nervously rubbed her arm.
"Sorry Rainbow, as much as I am honored to write, and maybe sing along with you girls again. This is your battle, not mine to be a part of. I know you girls would do just fine without me and besides..." Pri-Twi briefly paused as she walked over to where her doppelganger was and pulled her out of her seat.
"You already have someone magical by your side for the big event." Twilight finished with a lovely tone in her voice as she held both of her hands with her own.
"M-Me!?" Sci-Twi was freaking out beyond her control as she tried to (gently) break her hands-free from her magical counterpart. "With all due respect, princess, not magical in any way like you! I nearly destroyed our dimensions when I caused multiple portal rips and I've only sang with the girls once you had more experience! I think it's best that you be by their side!"
"Nope you're wrong about that Twilight... That's still so weird to get used to... Anyway, despite your mistakes and mishaps, you have grown so much since we first met." Pri-Twi gave her doppelganger's hands a gentle squeeze to calm her down.
"You've defeated your inner demon, made great lengths to study and learn more about magic, came out of your shell to be a better person, and most importantly you've become such a more perfect friend to everyone here, than I could ever be." Twilight gently wiped the tear off Sci-Twi's eye, and so touched the kind words she was hearing.
"That's why I know you'll do great helping them out after all... It looks like you already have some lyrics written down and they're pretty good." Pri-Twi finished, glancing down at the notebook left on the table.
Sci-Twi looked at her notes she wrote, before turning her attention back to the princess with a bright smile. "Thank you for your vote of confidence and I'll do my best to make you proud, Twilight... Wow you're right, it is still weird to say."
Both Twilights let out a big laugh, while they embraced each other in a hug. While their friends watched how adorable they looked, Rainbow still had an unhappy look on her face.
"I still say you going to be with us on the stag--OW!" Rainbow rubbed her arm as AJ threw her cup at her.
"Don't go ruining the moment, Dash. Ya heard what the princess said and besides, she's on vacation. She's here to have fun, not work." AJ said as Rainbow tried to give her a quick death glare, only to look away from her as small amounts of red began to appear on her face.
Suddenly before anyone could say anything else, a small growl came from Pri-Twi's tummy as she sheepishly gave the small chuckle and had ended the hug.
"Welp, I guess I should get a snack, hehehe. Any recommendations?" The Princess nervously asked as a small blush appeared on her face.
"Oh, oh I know! Get the sweet cinnamon strawberry swirl shake! Super tasty and a good way to fill your tummy, while still leaving a nice small room for more dessert!" Pinkie voiced her suggestion as she jumped up and down from her seat with glee.
"Okay, then, I'll try it!" With that, Pri-Twi stood up from her seat and went to the cashier.
The girls smiled towards their friend. The entrance door opened and the rainbooms were so shocked that their jaws almost hit the floor. They watched their friend order her drink while they also stared at the customer behind Twilight.
"Ar-Are you seeing this right now?" Rainbow asked, and the girls nodded their heads.
Twilight Sparkle smiled as her order was finished and turned around, but only to bump into a stranger. She looked down in horror and remembered that this happened to her before. It's like history repeating itself. She bents down and grabs the cup, but only to meet the stranger's hand on top of hers. Both of them looked at each other and Twilight couldn't help but get lost on the stranger's sky blue eyes.
"I-I'm so sorry! I should've looked where I was going. I ruined your clothes." Twilight panicked.
"My clothes don't matter. I was focused on the menu so it's okay." The stranger grabs the cub and helps Twilight get up on her feet. She stood up after that and looked at the princess.
"I'll buy you a new drink." Pri-Twi was shocked and panicked that she started to shake her hands.
"N-No! You do-don't need to do that!"
"I insist. Think of it as an apology treat." The stranger smiled, and both of them went to the counter.
"Hi, ma'am. Can you remake this girl's order? We sorta bump into each other and it was my fault. Also I'm having what she's having." The stranger winked at Twilight, making her blush.
"Coming right up!" Mrs. Cake replied.
Both of them waited for their order. It was a bit awkward for a while and the stranger thought it's best to break the tension.
"I don't see you around here. Are you new here in Canterlot City?" The stranger asked, and Twilight wasn't sure how to answer the question.
"Ye-Yeah, you could say that, but I'm just visiting my friends." Twilight said and blushed again. The stranger smiled at her. That angelic smile!
Celestia, give me strength!
"That's awesome! Oh how silly of me, I'm Sunset Shimmer, by the way. My friends call me Shim for short." Shim said.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle." The Princess responded as she finally took the time to admire the girl in front of her.
Shim was about 2 feet taller than her and her friends and had a shorter, messy hairstyle that resembled spikes (A/N: Basically, Tracer's haircut from Overwatch). She was wearing a sleeveless dark red hoodie with a black and white striped long sleeve shirt underneath it. She also wore black leather pants with a neon red design of a fiery Phoenix on the right side of her leg with matching red and black biker boots.
Overall, she looked phenomenal in the eyes of Pri-Twi as Shim gently booped her nose.
"Cute name for a cute girl. It suits you, Twily." Twilight was sure she could die from Shim's cuteness right now.
Shim noticed their orders were ready and paid before grabbing the order. She gave the other cup to Twilight and noticed the rainbooms. Applejack panicked because Shim was looking towards their direction. She grabs Sunset and puts her behind the couch before joining her friends with nervous smiles on their faces.
Shim and Twilight went towards their direction.
"You must be the rainbooms?" The rainbooms nodded their heads slowly. Shim then noticed Sci Twi and looks at Pri Twi. She looks at the both of them for a few seconds and decided not to question it.
"I'm Sunset Shimmer. Call me Shim. I'm a member of The Phoenix. I play the bass. Good luck tonight then. No hard feelings whoever wins." Shim smiled, and Twilight's heart started beating so fast.
"Oh, Twilight." Shim removes her sleeveless hoodie and gives it to Twilight.
"I know it's nothing much to cover your cute shirt, but it's the least I could do." Twilight slowly accepted Shim's jacket and looked at her with a blush on her face.
"Th-Thank you, Shim." Twilight bashfully replied.
"Well, I'll see you all tonight." Shim waves at them and gives Twilight a smile before leaving Sugarcube Corner.
The rainbooms and Pri-Twi were staring at the entrance door for a good 5 minutes before Pinkie Pie decided to break it.
"Wow, Sunset. You sure look hot!" Sunset groaned in response as she pops her head out behind the couch.
"Next time, girls, just tell me to go to the bathroom. I didn't need to see my life flash before my eyes like that." Sunset complained as she tried to fix her hair, which was now a mess.
"Sorry, sugarcube, I just didn't expect her to walk up to us for an introduction, let alone the fact to see that human you actually exist and live." AJ responded as Rainbow added to her two cents.
"Yeah Sunset, what gives? I thought you said you searched high and low for your human self, but found nothing. Did you ever try to look to see if you existed already in this world or did you just get lazy and give it up halfway?" The girls except the princess gave their ego-headed friend a glare for her arrogant question.
"I did, Rainbow, really hard! Unfortunately, we don't have time to worry about that, we have a bigger issue at hand!" Rarity nodded in agreement with her long bacon-haired friend as she immediately stood up and grabbed both Sunset and Pri-Twi's hands.
"I couldn't agree with you more, darling! We need to get you properly disguised into our only male band mate and get the princess a new pair of clothes!" Rarity shouted with determination in her eyes as she led both girls out of the building.
"Wait, what!? Why as a boy!? Why not a bandana and sunglasses to hide my face? Twilight help me out here!" Sunset looked towards her fellow equestrian, only to see that she was still in a puppy love state of mind as Rarity continued to drag them away.
The rest of the Rainbooms nearly shook their heads as they got up to leave and follow their fashionista friend, however Pinkie Pie suddenly stopped and grabbed both Rainbow and AJ by the front of their shirts.
"Hey Pinkie, what's the big idea of grabbing us like this? Let go!" Rainbow demanded as Pinkie simply responded with a sly look on her face as she leaned in closer to both girls.
"Don't worry, girls, I'll let you go... But first I need to know what kind of cake do you want for later tonight?" Pinkie said in a teasing tone, making both girls very uncomfortable.
"Cake for what, sugarcube? If we win against the Phoenix?" Pinkie shook her head at AJ's question as her smile got even wider.
"Nope sillies, a cake for your "1st ever (accidental) kiss as a couple" party tomorrow!" Pinkie Shadow with pure joy as both girls were in complete shock and red-faced as they finally pulled away from Pinkie's grasp.
"What are you talking about, you crazy nut head?! We didn't kiss, and we sure as hell ain't a couple!" Rainbow shouted back as the smile never left Pinkie's face.
"Yes, you did," Pinkie responded in a sing-along tone. "Remember how close you two were? You two were just so close to each other, that your noses were almost touching, and when Twilight scared you all, your lips made that sweet connection, forever bon-"
"Lalalalala!!! I'm not listening because that didn't happen!" AJ interrupted in denial as her face was even redder than before and covered her ears, making her way out the door.
Rainbow also had more red on her face as she gave her hyperactive friend a death glare, which didn't phase Pinkie at all. "You tell anyone what you just said, and I'll destroy a pink stuffed bear in your room that you love so much."
Rainbow walked out the door in anger as her threat went over Pinkie's head as she let out a chuckle and proceeded to skip out towards the end to catch up with her friends.
"I ship it!"
Things were quiet at Rarity's Boutique as the girls were waiting patiently except for Rainbow for Twilight and Sunset to come out of their dressing rooms.
"Come on, hurry up you two! We ain't got all day, we have a contest!" Rainbow yelled in frustration as she banged on one of the doors.
"Sorry Rainbow, changing into new clothes still feels bizarre and uncomfortable for me, plus I'm surprised that the contest is all you worry about." Pri-Twi responded as she was putting on the remaining clothing.
"What do you mean by that?"
"She means about Sunset's doppelganger, Rainbow. Why aren't you more worried about this new situation?" Fluttershy answered instead.
"I'm worried about it... I just don't want us to lose that kind of my main focus as leader, plus aren't any of you girls curious how good both her and her band are?"
"No cuz unlike you, none of us are worried about our ego and reputation." AJ harshly answered, while Pinkie Pie simply had a big teasing smile on her face.
Before Rainbow could reply back, one of the dressing room doors opened as Princess Twilight stepped out, leaving the Rainbooms in awe and speechless.
"So... what do you think?" Twilight asked as she twirled around a bit and the girls began to cheer about how well the princess was rocking the new look.
Twilight was wearing a pure black tank top that gave off a military vibe, due to it having 10 small buttons going down the middle with a silver necklace and dark blue fingerless gloves as accessories.
From the waist below, she had on tight denim shorts, stopping an inch above her knees with a grey metal-like belt as a red design of a fiery star on the right leg of the shorts.
Her shoes were very impressive looking as they were long light brown, cowboy style boots with silver lacing as the princess gave another twirl.
"Oh darling, you look marvelous! I am once again outdone myself!" Rarity excitement as the princess had a big smile on her face and a blushing red face.
"Thank you, Rarity, I appreciate you putting this much effort into this outfit for me. I'm surprised you waited for me to come back to give this to me, instead of giving it to Twilight over there." Pri-Twi thanked her as she grabbed Shim's hoodie and proceeded to put it on.
"I already have several designs and outfits for our dear Twilight here. It's only fair that I treat you differently from her, otherwise I'll just be lazy in my work... Although, must you put that thing on? It hides that top and beautiful necklace you're wearing?" Rarity finished with concern as the princess began to fiddle with the front of the hoodie.
"Don't worry, Shim's hoodie has a zipper on it. So I can still show off your outfit and still have that comfortable feeling, when I wear her- I mean hoodie! Her hoodie, I meant to say!"
Pri-Twi tried to hide away her blush, with no success, as the girls all saw and had a smirk on each of their faces.
"Sunset, come on out and take a good look at the princess! Plus it's your turn to model your outfit!" Sci-Twi yelled, setting aside her notebook with the page nearly filled with lyrics as their another Pony disguise friend had yet to leave her dressing room.
"No! No way! I'm not coming out of here! Rarity give me my clothes back and give me a pair of sunglasses and a bandana, so I can just hide my face from human me!" Sunset shouted back in anger and embarrassment.
"Absolutely not, darling!" Rarity shouted.
"You don't need to be so embarrassed, Sunset. We won't laugh. I mean, it's Rarity's fashion choice, so we can tell that it will look good on ya." Applejack reassured her best friend.
"Promise you won't laugh?" Sunset asked so that she could be sure that they won't make fun of her.
"We promise!" The girls said in union.
They waited for 5 minutes for their friend to feel comfortable showing off her out. The curtain opened and the girls gasped in shock because of Sunset's outfit.
She was wearing a demin vest, black leather jacket underneath, black shirt with the word metal in it, black pants, black fingerless gloves, her usual boots, and also she was wearing her geode necklace. She was shyly rubbing her neck. The girls, except for Pri Twi, began to blush.
"No-Not bad, Sunset." Sci Twi responded while adjusting her glasses.
"Wo-Wow, Sunset. If you were actually a guy, I'll totally date you." Rainbow said in awe.
"You look like an actual fella!" Applejack said with all honesty.
"You look hot!" Pinkie happily replied.
Sunset looked at Fluttershy, whose face was too flustered and was blushing really red. She walked up to her and both of them were avoiding each other's gaze.
"D-Do I look okay, Fluttershy?" Sunset asked, and was avoiding Fluttershy's gaze.
"Ye-Yes... You lo-look re-really cool." Fluttershy nervously said.
"Really?" Sunset asked with a smile on her face and her gaze landed on the shy girl. Fluttershy nods her head and Sunset suddenly ponied up because of how happy she is about her friend's approval.
"Oh my." Fluttershy giggled and hugs her friend for being cute. Sunset was so happy and everyone couldn't help but feel happy about the two of them, except for the princess, who was so confused about what had happened.
"I thought you girls pony up for emergencies?" Pri Twi asked.
"We thought so too, but Sunset would randomly pony up when she's happy or when she's around Fluttershy." Sci Twi explained.
The faces of Sunset and Fluttershy became even redder as the end of the hug looked away slightly out of shyness as Pinkie took the opportunity to speak.
"We still haven't figured out why or how she started to do this, we still have one more issue regarding Sunset." The girls looked confused towards Pinkie, who was trying to cool off from Sunset's unexpected hotness.
"What do you mean, Pinkie? I'm not embarrassed by dressing up as a guy anymore and this disguise will work perfectly to hide from Human me." Pinkie shook her head as she walked towards to Sunset.
"Maybe if we were hiding you from someone else, then yes the clothes would work, however, since we're trying to hide you from you, well...." Pinkie gently grabbed the end of Sunset's hair and held it up a bit.
The girls let out a gasp as Sunset backed away from all of them, freaking out as she held her hair. "Oh no, if you're thinking about cutting my hair, then you are absolutely losing your mind! Give me a hat or something, Rarity!"
Rarity shook her head as she walked towards the hat cabinet behind her and locked it up. "Sorry darling, but that outfit only looks perfect without a hat, so I cannot let you ruin it just so you can save your hair."
"Yeah Sunset, you already got that outfit... Imagine how drop-dead gorgeous you look with shorter hair!" Rainbow teased as she and the rest of the girls (minus Pri-Twi) began to blush once again.
She hid behind Fluttershy for protection and starts whimpering like a lost puppy because of how evil her friends are. Fluttershy softly smile and pats Sunset's head.
"Help me!" Sunset cutely cried. She puts her hands on Fluttershy's shoulders.
"I'm sure there's another way involving not cutting Sunset's hair." Fluttershy said and the girls started thinking.
After a few seconds, Pinkie jumped up and down with excitement as she began to search through her puffy hair. "I got the perfect idea! No hat or haircut required!"
Everyone slowly crowded close to Pinkie as the hyperactive girl suddenly pulled out a spray can. "Ta-da, instant color spray, Midnight Blue! The perfect solution to hide you in plain sight from Shim!"
"Dye my hair to blue? I don't know about this, I mean sure I don't lose my hair, but..." Sunset's concern didn't really seem to phase Pinkie as she already began to start shaking the can really fast.
"Don't worry about it too much, Sunset! This isn't even permanent or anything, so nothing can go absolutely wrong, unless I read the label wrong, but I know I didn't..." Pinkie's unsure tone scared Sunset even more as she slowly backed away from all of her friends.
"Nope, I can't go through this! I'm not going to change my hair color or cut it and there's nothing you girls can do about it." Sunset stood her ground as the Rainbooms (minus the princess) slowly approached her.
"Get her!" Sunset made a beeline for the back room as she nearly avoided Rainbow from tackling her as her friends followed her, where Mayhem ensued.
Pri-Twi couldn't help herself, but to let out a small chuckle at her friend's antics as she slowly inspected herself at a nearby mirror.
Hmmm... I wonder if Shim will love my outfit... I wonder, would she love me? Pri-Twi shook off those thoughts away as she did another twirl, while hugging herself tightly.
"Regardless, I think I'll be okay with me being a part of her life now." Twilight let out a heavenly sigh, not realizing that Sunset was screaming for help from the back.
"Twilight! Princess Twilight, help! Get back, girls! Get that can away from me! No! N-No! NNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!" Her screams echo throughout half of Canterlot, causing a new urban legend to be born.
Sunset Shimmer can see the light of the afterlife. She looks like she was ready to be a sacrifice to the Gods above in this world. Here she was, looking at the mirror, checking out her new hair color, which is now blue. Rarity was fixing her hair to make her more like a guy as Sunset couldn't wait for this day to end and hopefully to never see her human self ever again.
"Come on now Sunset, don't be all grumpy. You look completely dashing and handsome enough for me to ask ya on a date." AJ said.
She tried to cheer her friend up, only to be met with a death glare by a more irritated Sunset. Sunset knew her farmer friend was just trying to be positive, but she was too much in a bad mood and it was made even worse as she couldn't even spend time with Fluttershy because she's the one driving the tour bus.
Princess Twilight was looking out the window, thinking about Shim. She couldn't help it but think about the bad girl earlier. Shim looks really tough yet she was nice towards her. She and Sunset look the same but both of them live in different worlds and have different personalities. Twilight fondles the zipper on Shim's hoodie as she thinks about her.
I can't stop thinking about her.... Is it the way she was so kind to me even though she's clearly looking like she bullies anyone? Or is it because she looks so... attractive when she smiles at me? STOP IT, TWILIGHT!
"Are you thinking about Shim?"
Pri Twi jolted in surprise to see Pinkie Pie close to her face. Her bubbly best friend had this face like she knows everyone's secret.
"N-No I don't!" Twilight nervously said and looked away.
"You're denying iiiitttt~" Pinkie teasingly replied, and the princess began to blush.
"No, I'm not! AAHHAHAHA! What makes you say that?!" Twilight began to laugh like a crazy person and the others soon felt concerned about their friend.
"Yeah, you're really denying it." Rainbow said in a deadpan tone and Applejack smacked her head.
"I-I'm fine, girls. I'm just thinking about-"
"Thinking about Shim?" Sci Twi asked with a smirk on her face.
"Not you too!" Pri Twi felt so betrayed by her own human version. She covered her face with her hands because she couldn't let them see her blushing really red.
They were right though. Princess Twilight just couldn't stop thinking about Shim. There was something about her that made the princess feel different.
Twilight took a big, deep breath as she uncovered her face which was still red, so she could look at her friends, face to face.
"Yeah... You're all right, I was thinking about Shim and I just can't help myself!" Pri-Twi said with a shout as she got up from her seat to begin to walk back and forth.
"I never felt like this before for anyone, I mean there was Flash, but that quickly died out! With Shim, I truly feel like there's a connection waiting to happen between us, like that red line of love thong, the Rarity in my world told me during one of her usual ramblings on Romance."
An anime-style sweatdrop appeared on Rarity's face as she put the finishing touches on Sunset's hair. "Uhhh darling, I think you meant to say the red thread of fate."
"Yes, that thing, so where was I?" Twilight quickly replied as she was back into our own little world for a brief moment, before remembering where she left off.
"Girls, I feel like a connection between me and her is truly there, and I want to do anything to be close with her, even if things don't really work out." Twilight let out a heavenly sigh as she began to have a hypnotic trance look in her eyes.
"Shim is a girl, like no other girl that I've seen before. She has the heartwarming presence of an angel, mixed with the personality and appearance of a bad girl. I know we still don't know anything about her or why she's now appeared in our lives, but I know that small act of kindness she did for me is enough for me to call her... Mine." The princess had a huge blush on her face as she whispered that last part.
While the girls found the moment very sweet, especially Rarity and Pinkie, as they were being held back by AJ, so they don't try to bear the hug of the princess, Sunset had a slightly annoyed look on her face.
"So, your Royal Highness, if that's how you truly feel about human me, I have a question for you." The newly disguised girl made her way over to Twilight as she placed her arm over your shoulder.
"How do you feel about me? What do you see when you take a good look at me? What does your heart tell you?" Pri-Twi had an unsure look on her face at the question she was presenting as she took a moment to think about it.
Hmmm, how do I feel about Sunset? Never really put much thought about it, even after she changed her ways for the better? Pri-Twi thought to herself as she put on her best thinking face.
After a few moments of silence had past, the look came directly into her fellow equestrian's eyes.
"I feel you're a gentle soul that still craves to be forgiven by the sins of your past and to help those from going down that same path you once took, like a guardian angel would do... And most importantly..." Twilight paused for dramatic effect as Sunset smiled at the kind words about her, feeling happiness and pride fill her body... until she saw a smirk appear on the princess's face.
"... You make a very handsome boy that will make any girl believe you are the prince of a fairy tale. They have been waiting for you." Just like that, the pride and happiness of the body's Sunset let out a huge moan of frustration, while Twilight and the Rainbooms proceeded to laugh out loud.
"I think there's a certain girl that wants rescue in the tower by you." Dash teasingly said, pointing her finger towards the driver's seat. Sunset blushes and looks away with a small smile on her face. "I-I wouldn't mind saving her."
Then the bus stopped and the girls were confused. The bus door opened and Applejack decided to be the one checking the situation. Princess Twilight began to fiddle the hoodie's zipper again as she continued to think about Shim. She sits back down when the bus starts to move again.
"Wassup, Flash!" Dash exclaimed as she fist bumped Flash.
"Good to see you again, Rainbow Dash. I'm so stoked to see you girls perform and beat The Phoenix tonight!" Flash said and high fives Rainbow Dash.
"Good thing Fluttershy saw ya. I'm sorry about your car too." Applejack said while taking a sit next to Rarity.
"It's okay." Flash said and his eyes winded in shock when he saw Princess Twilight.
"Twi-Twilight?!" The princess didn't seem to have heard Flash because she was deep in thought while looking out the bus window. She's probably thinking about Shim again.
Flash was psyching himself up as he made his way to Twilight. Okay Flash, it's been a long time since Twilight was here, so be cool, work your charm and finally sweep her off her feet. He took a deep breath as he sat right next to Pri-Twi.
"Hiya Twilight, it's been a long time since I saw you! How have you been? I do love your outfit by the way. You look marvelous." Flash's words went unheard of as the princess let out a sigh with a smile as she continued to look out the window.
"Uhhh... So, how long are you going to be visiting? Are you staying until the Battle of the Bands has over or you going to be here for a while?" Once again, Flash was ignored as nothing was getting through to her with her mind clouded in love.
"Mmmm, Shimmy..." Twilight whispered gently her new lover's name as she still had not noticed that her former crush was sitting next to her or to notice his left eye was twitching uncontrollably in annoyance.
Seriously!? Why is she all lovey-dovey and ignoring me? Did she forget I exist or something and who's "Shimmy?" The answer slowly began to form into his head as anger built up inside him.
Sunset, of course! How could she, when she knew how I felt about Twilight?! She knew how much I cared for her, even when I was struggling to accept the constant rejection of the Twilight we have here! I'm gonna give her a piece of my mind!
Flash quickly got off from the seat and looked around the bus to notice, oh, that there was no Sunset in sight. Before he went to look in the back of the bus, he noticed a new and unfamiliar face riding with the girls as well.
Never seen this before, wonder who he is? Flash questioned himself as he approached the heavily disguised Sunset with the intent of an introduction and info, unaware of the horrible mistake he's about to make.
"Hey, man. I haven't seen you around in this city. The name's Flash Sentry, leader of the Flash Drives. It's a pleasure to meet you and I did your outfit. You look like you came from K-pop group and I mean it in a great way too." Flash said as he pulls out his finger guns towards an annoyed Sunset.
Sunset's eye twitched in disgust and Flash could tell that she was glaring at him, even though he still hasn't figured out who she is in disguise. A nervous Rainbow approached and tapped his shoulder, making Flash turn around.
"I-I see you have met Rarity's cousin, Windy Storm." Dash nervously said that Rarity almost choked at the tea she was drinking.
Sunset's eyes winded because of what Rainbow had said, but she knew that she had to speak up somehow. She clears her throat and tries her best to sound like a guy.
"Ah, yes. I'm Windy Storm. My cousin Rarity told me that Sunset wouldn't play toda-ay because she had um... she had her dentist appointment!" Sunset nervously said and hoped Flash would be convinced
"O-Oh! I understand. Also, I do have a question."
"Sure, hun, fire away." Applejack said. She was rubbing Rarity's back to ease her pain as she was coughing violently, due to her choking on the tea seconds ago.
"I heard Twilight mumbling Shimmy. Does Twilight have a crush on Sunset?" Flash asked and he didn't hide his anger at the question he just asked. The girls nervously looked at each other and smiled towards him.
"Yo-You see um... Flash. There's the thing um well... Twilight um..." Dash couldn't figure out what she wants to say and she looks at Sci Twi. She could tell that Rainbow wanted help so she did and the girls couldn't believe it.
"She has a crush on a really sexy person and that person's name is Shim!" Sci Twi shouted and everyone face palmed.
Pri Twi snapped out of her thoughts because of what her human self had said and began to blush really red. Sci Twi wanted to die because of what she just said and looked away nervously.
Why, why, why did I say that!? I made everything so much worse! A panicked Sci-Twi thought to herself as Flash began to feel more angry at the missing Rainboom, unaware Sunset was actually mere inches away from him.
"Is that so, huh?... Well, then, I'm going to just have to have a good long conversation with her, the very next time I see her." Flash said with hatred in his voice as he took his seat next to Sunset aka Windy, who sweated profusely out of fear.
While Twilight had this moment to herself, Flash, whom the princess is still unaware that is on the bus, was getting more annoyed by the fact that he wasn't the reason for her lovey dovey behavior, while Sunset was getting more nervous being that close to him.
Awkward silence quickly filled the bus with the exception of Sci-Twi banging her head against a window, while muttering the word "stupid" over and over as a still blushing Pri-Twi was staring out the window again with a goofy smile on her face as she thought about what her doppelganger said.
Shim is pretty sexy... And very gentle and caring, plus she has a great smell. The Princess took a quick sniff of Shim's hoodie and she let out a sigh of pleasure.
Mmmm Strawberries... It's like she knew what my favorite fruit was from the very beginning. I can't wait to see her play, I hope she's the one singing. I bet she has the voice of a mermaid. Pri-Twi let out another sigh as she closed her eyes and hugged herself tightly, embracing the warmth and scent of the hoodie closer to her.
I'm gonna tell him the truth about everything before he does anything crazy to me or human me for that matter... Maybe, when we're in a crowded area where there's witnesses... Sunset thought to herself as she pulled out her phone to distract herself from this awkward tension.
Suddenly without warning, the bus came to a halting stop, slightly jolting and starling the girls and Flash. "What was that for, Fluttershy? Trying to whiplash our necks?" Rainbow yelled as Fluttershy looked back at the rear view mirror with a frown.
"Sorry about that everyone, but it appears we have some blockage in front of us."
Pinkie chose to investigate as she poked her head out of the window to see a lot of cars that were seen to stretch on for miles, even far past their destination.
She looks at everyone with a frown, while putting her back in the bus. "Fluttershy isn't kidding guys, we're probably gonna be a tinsy bit late."
"Dang it! Why does there have to be traffic now, especially my-- I mean our big day to shine!" Dash shouted, angrily looking out the window, while gaining the attention of Applejack, who now watches random videos with Rarity on her tablet.
"Calm down Dash, your shouting isn't gonna make traffic go by any fast. Just take a deep breath and relax, plus I'm sure if you think about something that makes you happy, time will fly by." AJ said as she turned her focus back to the tablet, leaving Rainbow to think to herself for a moment, before she let out a sigh as she grabbed her guitar and began to fiddle with strings.
A few minutes had passed as everyone was now passing the time in a quiet and peaceful manner. The princess decided a quick nap would be best to save her energy. As she got into a proper position to rest, she began to close her eyes. However, before she could drift off to dreamland, she heard a faint music and looked outside her window to see a tour bus that looks exactly like the Rainbooms but different colors. Her eyes winded from the sight and her heart began to beat so fast.
It was Shim, playing her acoustic guitar while singing a song. She looks so cool right now and Twilight couldn't help but admire that beauty she was seeing. Shim was still wearing the same outfit, but without the hoodie she had given to the princess.
Shim was finished and sighed dreamily. Shim began to daydream about a certain girl she had met earlier. It was a really long time since she found someone that made her this way. She turned to the side and her eyes winded when she saw Pri Twi again.
"Tw-Twilight!" She rolls up the window quickly and pops her head out the window, smiling really happily.
"I didn't know that you're attending the battle of the bands! I should have figured you were a vocalist with your twin sister, your voice definitely sounds cute!" Shim giggled and Pri Twi couldn't help but smile dreamily.
"Th-Thank you, but I'm not singing with them. I'm visiting and supporting them for their performance tonight." Pr-Twi responded, causing Shim to have a confused look.
"Really? I assume you were joining them tonight, since they might need the help of a goddess, like yourself, to win against us!" Shim shouted, causing Pri-Twi to blush a deep red.
"I-I-I appreciate the comment, but I'm no goddess. Just a good friend and supporter" Pri-Twi responded while fiddling with her hair as Shim just smiled and giggled at her.
"You are to me, when I hear your beautiful voice and that smile of yours brightening my soul." Shim said with her face, now blushing as the princess's face became even more redder.
Pri-Twi was jumping up and down on the inside as she was unable to give a compliment back. All she could do was to smile back and do with a sloppy twirl for Shim, which was enough for her as she found Twilight's actions adorable. Not wanting to miss her chance, Shim decided to bite the bullet as she took a deep breath.
"H-Hey Twilight, I was wondering..." Shim paused for a moment as she struggled to find the right words. Come on, Shim, you can do this! She's right there! She took another deep breath, before continuing.
"I was wondering that, after the competition, if you're not busy... Do you want to ha-" Before she could finish, Shim's bus began to move forth as her lane was finally cleared of traffic.
No, no! Not now! Shim shouted in her mind as she looked back at Pri-Twi with a heartbroken look on her face. As the princess watched Shim move slowly away from her, she could tell whatever she wanted to say to her was important, but was now too disappointed to say it. A frown appeared on Twilight's face, before she turned it upside down as she shouted at a now far away Shim as loud as she could.
"Shim! Don't be upset! Just tell me after the concert! Tell me... Tell me, after you play your heart out and win, okay?!" Shim was stunned by Pri-Twi's words as her smile returned onto her face. "Okay! I will! I promise you!" Shim shouted back, waving her arm like crazy.
The princess giggled as she let out a sigh of relief as she sat back down and closed the window. Pri-Twi felt like she was on cloud 9 as she placed her hands over her beating chest and closed her eyes to finally take the rest she wanted earlier as she felt nothing could ruin the moment she just had.... Until a loud cough got her attention.
Pri-Twi opens her eyes to be greeted by The Rainbooms (expect Shy) and Flash staring at her. The girls all had pure joy and happiness for Twilight expressing herself to Shim, with the exception of Rainbow, whom she and Flash were tapping their feet in annoyance.
"Soooo Twilight, what should you talk about first? The fact you're new lover is gonna be at the beach and we're still stuck in traffic or the fact you're rooting for her to win? What shall it be?" Rainbow said with a venomous tone as Pri-Twi nervously chuckled and scratched the back of her head.
Oh boy.....
