It Rained for Three Days

It rained on the first day of May.
Spike wobbled back from the tree, the cool grass beneath his foot, splashing, from the step. Cold droplets continuously pelted his coat, which was undone, soaking the white shirt underneath. The denim of his pants was damp to the darkest hue of blue.
And his boots were ruined too.
But he didn't care as he went for a twirl, the momentum gained and a foot raised, striking the base of the tree. Dull thuds joined by echoing thunder. Despite being the afternoon, all was dark, the clouds a smokey kind of black. Remaining daylight was all but sombre.
Apples struck the wagons in quick successions. The dragon faltered as his foot came down, his scales chilled. He sneezed, loudly and wetly, a gasp after it was done, wiping the jacket's sleeve across his snout—like how Twilight and Rarity instructed him never to do.
“Spike! What in the tar...” There'd been her voice before his mind caught up to the footsteps behind him. His head leaned all the way back as he breathed through his mouth. Cold clouds delayed his mind in keeping to the world around him. “I told you not to go out! Yer gonna catch a cold like this!”
He groaned while his head turned, one eye, lazily, gazing back at her. “Nothing a premade soup from the greatest chief of all can't fix.” Shaking his head blurred the world as consciousness felt more distant from his body. “Hot coffee next to that too.”
“You think this is a foolin' matter?” Applejack stomped over to his side but keeping inches away. Tilting her head back, she glared up at him. “Not sure you noticed—but all the workers aren't out here for a reason! What makes you so special as ta think yer beyond the rules?”
Spike inhaled the cold air as it relaxed the bottom of his lungs. His head still spun and rocked as droplets chilled into his skull. Exhaling light steam and letting thin water leak into his mouth, the dragon tried a different approach. “That's exactly why I'm out here. Mac can't work and no chances can be taken on Bloom. Rain isn't expected to stop for three days.”
Applejack rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. “Welcome to the end of the thought process, sugarcube.”
“Nnngh! C'mon.” Spike inhaled and exhaled again. His mind clouded to the point of words being obscured. Everything seemed chilled over. Further pelted over by the incessant rain. “Think of all the work not done because of what happened? Crops unharvested and seeds needing to be planted?”
Applejack lost her anger as she looked down. “So that's yer pitch? Get a little more done and let the storm do the rest?”
“Can the farm afford not to?”
She chewed the inside of her cheek and turned away. “Knew there'd been a reason why you'd been hired.”
“Yeah.” Spike chuckled into a pant, breathing out through his mouth. The girl blurred into an orange haze as his wandering eyes refused to settle. Twitches of the head did nothing. “Someone signed the wrong papers and a poor schmuck didn't get the job.”
Giggles fought to not be released. “You're horrible.”
“Hence why the wrong papers were signed.” Spike saw the world from the bottom of a well. His consciousness was but a disconnected seed at the center of his body. What's... happening to me? He'd never been this out of it before. “Now get back on to the house. I heard from someone you'll catch a cold if you stay out for too long.”
He couldn't see her anymore. Only hearing the crunching of grass as footsteps trailed away. That, and the rain. Plit. Plat. Plit. Frozen pelting on leaves and trees and such things. Her warmth drew close like the aroma around a fire.
As she left, the cold returned, and he longed for her again.
“Hey... Spike?”
Seconds delay until his brain could activate. “Yeah Applejack?”
“I know how... how it feels like... to feel like you're built of a different material than others.” Despite the importance of her words, he did not turn around, worried about falling over if he did. He'd falter after she was gone. Never could he expose weakness before another. “Maybe that's partly true considering the hide beneath those clothes. You're like me. Ya always have a sense of what needs to be done—the minimal, at least.”
Silence followed and thunder bellowed.
“Just take my advice on this one, ya hear? Don't only relax once it feels like you've done the right amount of work.” Applejack exhaled a sigh heavier than an occasional spurt of icy rain. “It always, always feels like you can do a little more. Listen to yourself than what needs to be done.”
Easier to do if you weren't born lazy.
“You have my word.” Spike nodded and staggered in place. “Now get a move on. Few more chores and the next two days are taking care of themselves for once.”
“Alrighty then.” The crunching of grass from beneath her feet started to trail away. “Just don't be makin' promises you don't plan on keepin'.”
And then she was gone.
Spike stood in place underneath the dense foliage of the tree. He turned in place slowly, unable to see beyond his current hill. Distant trees and faraway lands merged into blotches of swaying colours. The cold stew churning in his stomach was ready to be vomited.
What was with this sudden sickness?
M-Maybe... it's best to take her word on this one.
Spike turned to the cart as it appeared in three different spots but somehow kept in the same place. Gritting his teeth, he blunted the step forward, the slimy feelings within pleading for him to hurl until passing out.
Is that an excuse? So what if you're a bit unwell? You can work through it... can't you?
The dragon took another step and then another, finding each easier than the last, bearing the level of 'ugh' inside to a manageable degree. It'd be harder to work, but he could work, and be known as one of those who always got the job done.
No matter the conditions.
Always have to be proving something, don't you?
Spike groaned at the switch of tone to the voice. Sick enough was he of the rain and the work that enduring the inner-turmoil of a personal debate would seal the deal for him. Doing his best to clear his mind, he grabbed the handle of the cart, a tighter grip, a support to keep him afloat.
He pulled it to the end of the hill and, his foot not sensing the slope, overshot its step. Spike released the handle, rather it was safer than used to save himself, as he turned and tumbled. Smacks of the shoulder into cold land each impact splashing higher volumes of water over his frame.
The wind across him slowed as he did the same. He came to lying on his back, gazing up, seeing the distant package of branches and leaves. To his eyes, it was vaguely painted on, done so across the sky. But that wasn't right. It felt far away.
And kept becoming further.
Spike reached a claw up to grab it only for the top of something green, arched and smooth, a strange kind of silk. Despite its feelings of thinness, it appeared thick, starting, too, to tower over him. Dirt became vaster bedding as his vision spun around the growing world.
He must have really been sick.
His was opened as droplets continued to pelt him. It must have been a rainstorm in that dark and brown sky for the water now soaked him. Consuming his entire frame and nearly submerging him underwater on every contact. Thunder echoed again. Different now. It cracked and quaked the ground. Drawing nearer. Just how close was the storm?
Spike reached up a claw and raised his head, not as a token for help, but rather, in seeing the distant apple that hung from the tree. Shadow of a colossus stalked next to him, the world, seamlessly, transitioned into a fuzzy nightmare. The darkened figure hovered above him as green orbs floated in the darkened abyss. Vibrations from the coming steps knocked free the apple above.
It fell, that red boulder, to crush the overworked dragon.
A hand reached out above, catching and tossing aside the falling object. All while the figure crouched above him, the dragon unable to support himself anymore. He went limp against the ground as exhaustion consumed him.
And another hand scooped him.
Spike was faintly aware he was floating in a tub. But... he'd never been in one feeling so like plastic before. Splashing was soft on his ears as his claws teased the water. It'd been warm. Steam undulated over his form. It evoked a groan of consciousness out of him.
“Oh sweet nelly! Yer alright! Thank sweet Celestial for that.”
Spike groaned for another reason as he limply smacked a claw into his frill—an attempt to suppress the blaring voice. “Nnngh! A-Applejack? Since when are you into waking guys with a blow horn?”
“Oh... right,” the voice dropped to a whisper, yet somehow, it was still all-consuming. Warm winds blew from her mouth. Not air. Winds. “Sorry about that. Still haven't... ya know, adjusted ta you yet.” She made another sound that didn't leave her lips. It sounded so small but, to him, felt shouted from a stage. “How are ya feelin'?”
“Like a thousand bits.” His eyes broke open from their crusted state, repeatedly blinking to keep conscious. He was lying back on some pool. Its walls were short and pink and transparent like a kiddy bowl. “What the heck? Applejack? Where are...”
Spike had turned onto his stomach and swam to the wall before his eyes settled on the monolithic impossibility. Stretching plains of wooden flooring trailed away into a mock horizon. Before that loomed her. Applejack. The might of her chin rested on the table as the pools of her eyes, ever so high, shone emerald in gazing at him.
The dragon opened his mouth to speak but, in sensing he would need a moment, glanced behind him. The surrounding water filled a heart-shape bowl safe enough for a kid to drop and toss. He gazed into the body itself, which, despite being hot, was too murky to see through.
Which meant it'd been warm water from a tap that now acted as a hot-tub.
“You've gotta be kiddin' me! What the heck happened—ack!” Spasms tore through his shoulder as he flipped onto his back, which drifted into a wall. He gripped the soreness with a claw and rolled his head back to deal with the pain. Above, the giant face of the girl loomed overhead, her hands out as well—unable to help but wanting to. “Nnngh! That fall. I must have torn or broken something on the way down.”
Applejack kept silent before sighing. She pulled back over the desk, hovering there, keeping safely away. He'd never seen her act like this. So much like a scared kid at finding a spider for the first time. Her colossal fingers laid on the table as half her muzzle hid beneath the wooden edge.
“It looked like you endured quite a tumble when I found ya.” Applejack's eyes lowered beneath the view of the desk. Something was on her mind. Spike pressed a fang into his bottom lip at being unable to do a thing. “Told ya... told ya not to work so hard.”
Spike rolled his head on the brim of the bowl. “Don't think overworking is a high cause of shrinking. Do you know anything about... about... about this?”
“Ya wanna watch that tone? I went back out lookin' for ya after I said not to overextend!” Applejack sighed as her warm breath surged across the desk. It even rippled across the water. “Darn lucky I was watching my step too! Found ya not too far from where I'd left ya. You'd been passed out and already small.” Her head shook and her muzzle dared over the desk. “How do you supposed I'd know a lick more than that?”
Spike squinted his eyes before clenching them. Thinking strained the brain. Shrinking out of nowhere? Had he stumbled into a poison joke? Never would he have dared for such a thing to grow close to the Apple family. What were the likely causes in the past?
He slapped a claw over his face on already knowing her name. “Twilight.”
“Twilight?”
Spike groaned into his palm as his mind frizzed from overuse. “When I went to visit her last. She'd been... nostalgic. Wanted to do old activities together.” His claw slipped from his face and splashed into the water—all while the gigantic face, concerned, watched from behind. “Experimentation had been one of them. Gave me back the moustache. But remarked she could never figure out how to reverse your effects of the Poison Joke.”
Applejack rolled her eyes. “I can see where this is goin'.”
“Tried her spell on me to no jackpot.” Spike turned in the water and crossed his arms on the brim of the bowl, gazing off to the face of the girl. Wisps of red blossomed in the water around his scales. “My guess is she replicated the effect perfectly. As in, at least a day or so for the side effects to kick in.”
Applejack blinked and her eyes were no longer on him. She'd dropped out from listening as her mouth opened. “Spike... I think you should get out of the water.”
“And why's that?”
“Yer bleedin'.”
Spike's muzzle scrunched as he glanced underneath his shoulder. Sure enough the blood transformed into fog inside the water. It stung—but so did the rest of his body. Limply he hoisted himself over the rim, swinging over it, the crash of his feet powerful on the wood. “Nothing to fear. Only a few cuts from rocks and sticks.”
Applejack shook her head. “Nu-huh! We're not riskin' that gettin' infected.”
Spike came to a pause before the titan. “What do you suggest? Little too small for a band-aid.”
“Already came prepared.” Her hand raised to the side of him, the tip of a finger tapping a roll of bandages. It pulled a small portion before ripping it off. Her other hand flew to him, orange fingers hovering around his body. “Even got a paperclip ready when you were still warmin' up.”
Spike, however, was more frightful of the surrounding fingers; their nails curved in the size of a counter. It scared him to witness the length of these soft pillars. He backed a step and, on doing so, the fingers did the same.
“What's the matter? Dirt beneath the nails?”
“More so the nails themselves.” Spike tilted his head back and drew a claw across the curve of his throat. “Feels like they could cut a head off if they wanted to.”
“Spike... I ain't gonna use my nails to cut your head off.” Applejack groaned from afar as her fingers fell onto the table, flatly, inviting his investigation. The little dragon stalked into the space in-between a pair, forced onto the tips of his feet to see over the hill of her knuckle. “May have liked to on a grumpier day. But that day ain't today.”
“That's a shame.” He drew around the orange webbing of the finger, it feeling like a flexing ceiling. He gazed over the hand to the point he couldn't. At least looking up always saw her face high above. “Because if you wanted to—now's your chance.”
“Right.” Those nails tapped on the wood behind him as the fingers marched in place. “So why bother bringin' all that stuff to help ya then?”
“Props?”
“Imma grab you and roll that bandage around your mouth at this point.”
The fingers ceased tapping seconds later. Still the giant could feel something wasn't right about him. Before she was forced for words, however, his claw laid on the skin of her knuckle. Turning, he put his back in the exact place. “You promise... you won't hurt me?”
“Only a few in the world I'd like to do that to.” Applejack beamed at him from above. “And you ain't on that list.”
Spike lowered his head and exhaled. Of course she wouldn't hurt him. Massive and towering and completely dominating his vision? Without a doubt. But never could he recall the girl wanting to do him harm.
He pushed off from the finger and left the space of the fingers, walking out before the row, offering himself to them. Gazing to the distant face, he nodded. “Just try not to handle me like an action figure, okay?”
Applejack sat on the stool before the desk, now empty in not wanting to risk the boy harm, except for the bowl and a few miniature tools. He cutely slouched before the row of her fingers as he gave himself up. Dark purple scales contrasting to bright green spines. He'd become handsome without knowing it.
“And here I thought a boy would enjoy being handled.” Slowly her index and middle finger softly pinched at his hips to ensure he'd be still. Lightest pressure she could apply. No groans followed. Sighs of relief for that. “I'm going to wrap this around your chest and over your left shoulder. That okay?”
“I'll let you know if they raise a fuss about it.”
She giggled. Applejack never meant to at hearing his pointless jokes but, as the months went on, her spine was tickled by them. No breaking of laughter except on a few great days. They were the consistent kind provoking a smile even as it rained.
Like it still did outside their room.
There was something adorable in dressing the dragon in the roll of white, around twice, seeing how it clung across his form. Her fingers were careful in passing under his arm and over his shoulder. She scooted the stool closer to the desk and rested her chest atop, leaning on the wood, getting a better view of the dragon.
And seeing he had a better view of her open collar.
Applejack arched an eyebrow at clocking his gaze... but made no mention of it. She even glanced down to the few buttons undone on her white shirt. Having forgone a bra, the mountains rested on the wood, spreading across it, flattening over it.
The fabric had been strained, and so, there wasn't any harm in wearing the top looser. But it caught her flattery to be gawked at like this. The little dragon must have found a modicum of shame for, in the coming seconds, his head turned away.
“Sorry.”
“For what? Risking a peek? Gotta admit you have big ones for that.” Applejack narrowed her eyes and leaned harder into the table, forcing her twins to mesh harder across the surface. She arched, their tops lifted up, showing him the warm, dusky valley. “Can't say I've noticed you peek at 'em before. This a first-time occurrence or a first time slip up?”
Her pinkie guided for this body to turn and his tail flicked out of the way to be safe. Now it was her turn for perversion. His tight derriere required a squint to see... but rewarded the effort. Firm with taut curvature. Not bad.
“I feel like that's a rigged question.”
“Maybe so.” Another pair of fingers hovered before his derriere. Would he mind a little squeeze? “But do you have the courage to answer honestly anyway?”
“Then yeah.” Applejack's hand reached to the side of the table, pinching the clip. Unhinging its sharpness, she delicately brought it over his back. Her ears and mind, however, were focused on his words. “Might have checked out a few places from time to time. But nothing... too lecherous?”
“That sounds like a defence you don't even want to be playing in the first place.”
“Hey! You're the one who told me to be honest.” Spike remained perfectly still as the cool metal slid across his back, a break in posture once the clip was set into itself. Her fingers pulled away and she returned to her seat. “You're a good looking girl, Applejack.” His little body turned around on the wood as his claws were held out to the sides. “But you hardly needed my input on that.”
Applejack huffed and rolled her eyes. In truth a tempo had picked up in the beating of her heart. There'd been stares and compliments—and odd jokes from Rainbow Dash—about her looks. But never had they come from one close enough, doing all of the above, that genuinely meant them.
“So is that it then? That's the whole reason for overworkin' on the farm then?” Shaking her head, she slid her arms underneath her bust, heaving their weight, pronouncing their shape. “Just for a chance for a glimpse at the girls?”
“Excuse me? But those things?” The little dragon walked across the wood, daring ever closer to her, becoming within the shadow of her masses. “Those are mountains now.”
“Think we can both agree they were always mountains.'
“I... you've got me there.” But the tiny bugger dropped his head and gazed at his feet. “Sorry. It's not often... I get pulled into conversations like these. I still don't know when I'm smooth and when I'm a creep.”
“Seem to be playin' off the words awfully well for now.” She poked a finger to his chin, inching it up, seeing his face across its length. Both of them smiled from the contact. “And I don't mind the peeks. You boys will be boys.” Applejack chuckled. “Should have known somethin' was up after you kept treating me the same during your teenage years.”
“Sometimes I forget I'm not one.”
“Don't sweat.” Applejack smirked. “It's a universal feeling.”
Silence struck them afterward as the gloom of the mood started to settle in. Spike continued to stand around on that desk, sometimes alternated on what foot he kept one, his claws now clasped behind his back.
Applejack, however, scratched the back of her head as she wasn't sure what to do. It'd been her goal to get the dragon from overextending but... as his present injuries—and size—prevented him from doing anything... she wasn't sure what she was supposed to do with him.
It was in gazing at him that something within was tickled. He'd always been a cute boy capturing her heart. But now that he was small and tiny, bandage up across his chest, a fashion much suited to him... strange feelings washed the girl.
She wanted to hold him for one. Clasp her hands around him and draw him against her chest, smothering him as close to her heart as possible, maybe letting him snuggled against her cheek. There was still the matter of getting him back to Twilight to reverse everything.
“Know there's not much of a point in asking this,” Applejack began as she turned in her seat, coming to stand from the table. She stalked across the room to the window, gazing out to the contentious rain. “But you okay with stayin' with me for this next while? Set to rain for the next few... and I don't want to risk takin' you to Twilight like this.”
Applejack turned her back from the window to see the dragon gazing at her, but only, his gaze was lower. Much lower this time around. She'd been sporting denim barely passing over her cheeks. That, and the green brim of her underwear had been tugged above it.
Once more a knowing smirk. “Really? Twice I'm catchin' ya?”
It was hard to see, but if she squinted, her eyes could make the little bounces of his head. “What do you expect? You're already a knockout normally! Amplify all that and—“
“Amplify?”
The little dragon brought his wrist to his maw, which opened wide, allowing his fangs to tear into his scales. “I did not mean it like that! Just that... if you already had a good size and shape... and now they're made bigger...”
Applejack tilted her head and tapped a finger against her chin. It'd just be the two of them for the next three days. It'd been a while since she had gotten some and, not wanting to be rude in her thoughts, but she doubted the dragon had been getting much of anything.
Perhaps there'd be a new way of killing the days the both of them could enjoy?
Spike had done everything he could to find the wandering of his eyes knowing, should they linger on that ass of destiny—he'd be dead. It was as simple as that. The greatness of those cheeks swallowing the horizon couldn't be stared at for too long.
But they'd been perfect. The tightness of denim shorts hugging her bottom to the swell of their underside exposed. Orange skin seemed warm as fingers came and danced across them, sinking easily into the gooey dough, each impression quickly filling out if a finger left.
Then it came to the dragon's attention that the giant girl was playing with her giant butt. Above the skyline of her shoulders was where her head loomed, one side turned, the pool of her eye set on him. Her grin had reached beneath it, too, as the size of the window towered in-front of her.
“Poor boy.” Applejack brought two fingers underneath each of her cheeks and pushed upon the masses, the alleviation compressing them, a slight spilling of flesh over those orange cylinders. “Able to remove your eyes the first time. But when a girl starts foolin' around the second. Heh, can't help yourself, can ya?”
“I can,” Spike replied without removing his eyes from the sight. “But my every instinct is telling me that's definitively the wrong thing to be doing right now.” Those distant fingers slid out from the tangerine hills, which bounced into form again, little ripples that quivered across their shape. “What exactly is this again?”
“Not sure there's exactly a name for it yet, sugarcube.” Applejack turned around from the window and walked toward him. Each step thundered with a dull thud and a chorus of creaking wood. Her towering stature reached him, the expanse of her crotch hovering before him, its waistband hard to see past. “But I think the last few days have been tough for you and me.”
That gigantic waist devoured the wooden horizon of the desk, those hips pushing out to the side, a hand laying on them. “Plus there's been somethin' on my mind I can't make heads or tails of.”
Spike was finding it hard to reply as the behemoth groin loomed before him. Its sides were lost to blurriness as the texture of the denim was all that could be made out. Gazing up was impossible as, across the vertical plane of the shirt, the mounds above blocked any view beyond. “I'm sure... we can work that out together. Y'know, if you sit down.”
“I'm so glad you suggested that.” That chest continued to soar above, and the dragon beat a few steps back, still deep inside its shadow. Before wisdom could kick his ass for the cause of his words, the rack above threatened their fall. “Before I do that. Let's play a game. Been a while since we got into the fighting spirit.”
Spike gulped on being stunned. “What's the deal?”
“You've been working aggressively on this farm.” Applejack shifted her hips to the other side, the mass of womanly delight consuming his sight. “Don't get me wrong. I'm extremely thankful for it. But, at the same time, I can't help but feel there's another reason for it?”
Spike went to throw up his claws only for pain to spark in his left shoulder. In gripping with his other claw, he wobbled in place, doing his best to shout past that beautiful chest. “It wasn't to leech on you!”
“Never said it was.” His gaze was drawn to the sweeping barrier of her shorts, which spanned beyond the sides of his vision, a thickness to them seeming delicious. Orange fingers hooked beneath the band, wiggling them down—exposing the thinner green one beneath. “But maybe I wouldn't have minded if it was. In either case. I think the two of us could use some relief tonight.”
Spike gulped at seeing the titanic spread of that emerald underwear. It already hugged dangerously low on the lands of her body to the point light crops of orange could be seen above its line. That, and slight protrusions against the slope of the panties as well.
“So how about we have some fun? I'm going to sit down and, just by accident, rest my chest on this desk here.” It wasn't often that a shrug could be heard in someone's voice. “And maybe there's a little, perverted dragon standing around where he ain't supposed to. Now it ain't my fault if he gets softly crushed by some jugs.”
Spike continued looking up as the shadow of the boobs was awash over his frame. His claw loosely slid off his shoulder as he considered the ramification of all that was to occur. Strangely enough. All of this was okay. “Really know how to take control of the scene. Don't ya?”
“Can back out if ya like.”
“Don't think I'll have a chance like this again.”
“Good boy.” Arms slid underneath that bust as it filled the created space, the heft of their weight able to be seen. “Give up underneath my twins and you have to give up whatever has been biting you in the arse. Make it out alive and you can make me do anything. Surely that ain't a line you've caught before?”
“Very true.” Spike nodded. “Not too many girls starting their sentences with 'get out alive'...”
Chuckles rained from above.
“Oh hooey! I'm going to enjoy this.”
Spike stood a few steps back from the chest hovering overhead, its sides filling out well beyond his vision, their elegant shape defined into the fabric of Applejack's shirt. Without warning was how the twins fell. The scraping of a stool followed by that fantastic ass taking a seat.
The dragon turned around and broke into a dash, the dimness now transitioning into darkness, the span of the girl's body looming behind him. By the time his head twisted to look up, the boobs had smashed down atop him, set to jiggle from the crash, seconds passing until they settled.
Underneath the mass of the rack in a field paved over in the softest of flesh, the little dragon laid on his front, immense weight washing over his back. Barely could he scrape his chin on the wood as he looked forward. A ceiling of white sprawled out before him until reaching a line in the distance.
Bright line that glimpsed out into the world beyond.
That was the place he needed to reach.
He turned his cheek to the mass laid over him. Softer than soft and barely supplemented by the clothing itself. Applejack's breast had been full, impossibly round, a fighting of the digits to not squeeze in seeing them. How she heaved them around so effortlessly was beyond him.
Only that having them rolled over him had deepened his praise. First to be noticed was their warmth, the heat, a sensation never fading. Within the confined pocket underneath her breast, Spike tried a claw into their inside, feeling the skin pleasantly burn at his scales. Pushing into it allowed the dough to swallow him, easily, more of that temperature spreading across his wrist.
“Don't tell me this whole experience is you just tryin' to cop a feel?”
He tried not to pay the fighting words much mind as lifting her breasts was out of the question. His body wasn't crushed by now as their full weight hadn't been placed. Glance to his shoulder told him why. The giant didn't want to risk him pain.
That bought him a minuscule advantage.
