Lol well It's official we've made it to 300 followers so as a reward to those who enjoy this story, It Thought I'd release this little piece of cringe. What is this? well it's actually the first book I wrote when I started it when i was like 15 and finished it at 18, so this is Bad. I had found the story when I was cleaning up some stuff and found the paper manuscript. (Back when i was thinking typewriters is what made a great writer) I'm glad I've gotten much better than this. But I thought, Well, Fuck it. Let's have some fun and make fun of my old story, Maybe it'll give you a good laugh. heh but I've come a long way since i tried writing this.
So My wild fan's here's Spike Draco, and the journey through the spirit world
Chapter 1
In opening this book, you are now in great danger. I’m telling you now, so you know in advance. If unknown risk scares you, then PUT THIS BOOK DOWN RIGHT NOW! If you’re too foolish to put this down, then I’m sorry that your life will soon be cut short. However, if you are brave and observant enough, then maybe you are the right person to know.
Are you willing to take that risk? If not, close this book and put it down.
For those who stayed, you should know that there are people out there that don’t want anyone to know what you’re about to learn. If you’re not already, you’ll soon be followed and observed. So be careful and keep your eyes peeled. I can’t tell you what to look for, but I can say they’ll move in the shadows. They disappear if you look right at them, but if you’re very observant you may catch one in the corner of your eye.
The other thing you need to know is that everything you believe about myths and legends may be true. Almost all myths and legends started out as truth. You may not agree now, but if you live long enough, you may change your mind. You may even see some for yourself.
I will give you one last chance to stop and put this book down before you’re in danger.
Ok, I gave you a way out, but if you’re reading this. You’ve stayed.
I myself work for a secret organization of the government. So secret that not even the president knows we exist. I’m sure you’ve heard that line before, but it’s true.
I have been assigned to watch a young man and a young woman. I can’t confirm or deny for how long, but I can say for a long while. We took notice that they trained in special skills at a young age. We knew we could use them but they were too young, so we had to wait. And thus I’ve been watching them. Till the time they reached the right growth and maturity, that time has come. Strangely, on day they leave for College…
It was a calm night for one small town in Highland County, Ohio. The stars and moon lit up the night sky. Glowing brightly the moon was at its largest it could be during the summer. It was a rare time of year. Even in the heat of the summer there was a cool breeze that blew gently over his face, helping to dry the sweat from his forehead and calm his nerves. It was barely enough to cause the trees around town to sway gently from side to side. With nary a cloud to break the skies above, the stars and the moon glimmered vibrantly against their inky backdrop, illuminating the surface below with their tranquil clarity.
Out of all the houses in this town, one stood out among the rest. This home was down at the end of Collins Avenue passing all of the newer single-story homes. This one had a different feeling about it. This home stood another story higher than the rest. It was the oldest house in town with a limestone foundation and vinyl siding with shutters that looked like they had just been painted. The house had a look of age on the outside. It almost gave a feeling it was alive.
Over the second floor there was a small colored window in the very center of it. An elegant stained-glass window with all the colors of the rainbow. It was a beautiful design, showing the seasons though the life of a tree with beautiful colors, and the oldest part of the house. It had been refurbished by the present owner so the moon light gave soft it a glow. This home in its glory could be considered a great treasure for anyone who loved the old style and fashion of American history.
When you looked over seeing the top of the old place you could even see a dark shadow wavering as it watched the moon. He sat perched right there not moving an inch. He was focused on the moon as he felt an almost desire for it. It almost seemed like the moon was calling for him. If the moon was a woman she would have given him a seductive look bringing him to her with the beauty she held. He also desired to try and learn the secrets that she was hiding from him and only him. It seemed like she was itching to let out what she was hiding from him but only if he learned it by himself. But so far he was getting nothing yet from her.
The man who sat there – his name is Spike. There was a reason he was up this late at night, he was overcome with excitement all around him, excitement and fear. As tomorrow he would be leaving the very place he considered home, heading off to the warm state of Tennessee, leaving this place forever.
Anyone who looked upon Spike would see what looked to be a lean, and tall man for his age with a nearly perfect six-foot length, most would argue he was one of the tallest people at his school, with stunning dark green hair, that seemed oiled down jetting back with a soft Shine to it, when hit by the light at the correct time. With a dark Tannish skin, the same like his step-father since they'd work around outside at his construction company almost all summer. That helped tone his body making him well fit though, not overwhelmingly large.
Then when it came to his eyes, they could look into your very soul. They were two different colors, one being bright blue while the other was a dark shade of brown, they were stunning and mysterious and would actually change color depending on his emotion.
He continued to stare upon the moon. It was something he did out of habit, but always enjoyed. It was simple, just like him. The sight of the full moon made him feel calm and relaxed. It made everything feel right with the world.
He kept quiet, Feeling the light pouring upon him. ‘What is her secret.’ he wondered, but once again found nothing.
Slowly turning his head from the full moon to survey the old town. The good memories flowing though his mind. He would miss this place, along with the people who lived here.
He knew deep inside he had to leave, and he would never forget where he came from. He remembered something his mother used to say.
“Spike you’re going to make new memories and have old ones, but they will always be with you. No matter what.”
With small tears in his eyes, he let out a small smile and a soft sigh. God he missed her. It happened twelve years ago but it seemed like only yesterday, but His parents just disappeared, never to be seen again. He always kept them close in his memories. Even though they faded a little over the years, they he wouldn’t forget them.
Suddenly the sound of a soft beeping came from his left arm, and with that it brought him back into reality. It had hit another hour. He’d lost track of time in his nostalgia so he checked his watch. He gave a look of surprised, for the clock said that it was already past midnight…
He figured he would call it a night. He had to get up early for the road trip he was about to take, but first he wanted to do something one last time.
Walking over to the very edge of the roof, he looked down at the green grass that stretched over the yard, but most of it was covered by the shadow from the old oak tree. He took a deep breath to get his nerves up then jumped as far as he could, stretching his arms to catch a thick branch. Relieved that the old tree limbs still had the strength to hold him up, he used his arms to lift himself up. Now sitting on the branch his breathing was heavily and his heart pounding. Twilight always called him suicidal but he’d done plenty of times over the years. The rush it gave always reminded him of the first time he’d did it.
‘Now the hard part.’
He though as he began walking slowly down the branch with one foot in front of the other. If the limb broke it was 22 foot fall to the dirt below. Once he got above his window, he took a second before taking another leap. His arms moved out quickly grabbing the window still, feeling the familiar pain of his wrists trying to get ripped off from stopping his fall. Still he’d done this enough times before. He quickly pulled himself up and through the window.
He closed and locked it, letting himself relax as he turned his head to check around. He was surrounded by the darkness cloaking the room. Even if the lights were on, it would’ve seemed dark because the walls were painted almost black. Spike remembered the day he had requested the color. It was right before high school.
Crossing the room, passing everything that still resided there. A desk, a dresser, and three swords hung on a rack on his right. Though the family he was with was known for their gun collection, and he was a decent shot, Spike preferred the sword. Something about it just felt natural to him. He’d had lessons and his friends knew it was his hobby, but to him it was more. They were his passion.
Jumping into his bed, he fell asleep near instantly. He did manage one sentence before he passed out. "Tomorrow is a new day." Spike spoke out to the darkness.
If only he knew of the events that laid before him that night, he might have known he wasn't the only one up so late that night. Across from the home standing on the sidewalk, there stood a man shrouded in darkness. Watching every motion Spike had made since he’d come outside.
The only reason anyone would have seen him at this late, was the soft shimmering, of the street light overhead. It had flickered constantly ever since the sun had left sight of the town. While there was no one out this late, if someone would’ve noticed him they would’ve felt he didn't belong. Even the dogs from around the neighborhood could sense that he had no reason being here, but while they would normally bark relentlessly at strangers, they all stayed deadly quiet. They were afraid of him. He wore a black hat with a curved top to it, the sort of hat that a Quaker would wear, and a leather overcoat that was as black as the night. He stayed right there watching, even after Spike went in.
The man let out a soft sigh. If you could’ve seen the man’s face you would’ve noticed he’d shut his eyes…
The street light gave up and went dark. The stranger said in a deep voice.
“Don’t worry Spike your time shall come.”
As he spoke the mysterious message. The light behind him started to flicker again, doing all it could to try and stay on but it was of no use. It lasted for a minute or two at most, once again going dark. When the light came one again, the man, who seemed more of a shadow, was gone without a trace…
It seemed like the dogs felt more comfortable right then, as they went back into their homes for the night, but even with the stranger gone and the dog’s where no longer worried, the feeling of his presence still lingered over street.
Time went by for Spike. He didn’t know how long he was truly out of it, but he didn’t care. He’d slept through the night without a single dream and he was ok with that…
“God-damn clock.” He grunted as he heard the screeching sound of the never ending beeping. He smacked the off button to shut it up and rolled out of the bed. He had hoped he could've slept another half-hour, but he had to get up.
“Morning me.” He Stated slowly, soon reaching over and giving himself a gently slap upon his cheek a means to wake him up, for the moment, slowly feeling the light stinging upon his face.
Rolling his eyes as he rolled out of the bed, he was wearing the same thing he wore yesterday. A simple pair of black sweats and an old t-shirt. He’d have to change, but first nature called.
“God-damn bladder.” He growled as he half-walked, half-stumbled to the restroom. At least the bathroom was right next to his. He was raised his hand and knocked three times.
He then heard her voice. It was the sound of a young woman. Stern yet rather elegant as she said four amazing words.
“Don't come in I'm not decent! I'll be out in a bet!"
It was Twilight. Damn it. Who knows how long she’d been in there. She could take another half hour or for all he knew and he didn’t have time to wait. His bladder wasn’t going to let him.
He quickly ran downstairs, made a quick turn, and opened the bathroom door under the stairs, without even bothering to knock. He really had to go.
After a few minutes he emerged from the can and went back upstairs. The door to the bathroom was open. Weird, Twilight always takes an hour. He didn’t put much more thought into it and went back to his room.
Nothing seemed odd for the moment. To him, the room had a calm feeling that could be considered sacred. He changed clothes, putting on a black t-shirt that fit over him just right, a pair of skinny jeans, and lastly, one of his personal favorite item’s, a black hat that said 'dodge' on the brim.
He took a moment to look at himself in the mirror. he was a good looking guy. He gave his reflection a smirk before he picked up a simple brown box, and heading downstairs.
He walked out the front door. The sun was rising in the sky, warming Spike. On one side of the driveway was his prize possession, a 1971 Dodge Demon.it was plum crazy purplem except around the top where it was Green with the wording The Demon was written onto it.
But it was more than a fine piece of American ingenuity. Under the hood was a classic 426 Hemi engine six cylinder with a nitrous injector. He didn’t know if nitrous was legal, but either way it deserved the name.
As with many things in Spike’s life, this car had its own story. It involved him, his adopted father, a junkyard, and a silent agreement to fix that car. He didn’t even remember what they’d gone there to look for, but they’d walked out with a wrecked car body and a dream. Spike and the old man didn’t agree on much but the car was the one thing they ever truly bonded over.
Closing the front door behind him, Spike stood on the porch and enjoyed the calm silence. Which was quickly broken by a grant from the garage. He crossed the porch, leaning over the rail, to look in. It was Twilight.
Long, Raven black hair, pretty face, nice breasts, and an hourglass figure. Many people, both guys and girls, would sneak glances at her either in lust or jealousy. Having a stunning beauty that could kill a man or drive him mad with desire, Spike bet she could make a model jealous.
Unfortunately, there’s that stereotype that all hot girls are brainless bimbos. Well if you say that around Twilight she will smack the hell out of you. Her hot body hides the brainpower of the smartest person Spike knows. She could’ve graduated high school early if she’d wanted. Give her a crossword or Sudoku and she’ll own it, she could finish a Harry Potter book in one night, and to top it off, she helped him though the hardest horror of his life. Geometry class.
Plus, she is just sexy with a gun. The only negative part of her was her demanding nature and that she could never take a joke. You mix that with Spike’s prankster nature and well... You can do the math.
She was packing her boxes in her car. Spike smiled because and done that yesterday. ‘And she’s supposed to be the smart one.’ He thought to himself as he watched. Then smile changed to a wicked grin. He had an idea. One last joke before they left.
He walked off the porch and crept over to the garage. Peering around the open door, he got a good view of her butt. No he wasn’t a per. She was just bending over to pick up a box, and seemed to be having some trouble getting it to defy gravity.
‘Prefect.’ Careful not to make a sound, not even daring to breath, he moved closer. She was so focused on the box she didn’t even look around her. He raised his hand and right as she finally managed to lift the damn box. The hand came down on her rear with a satisfying smack.
She wiped around, smashing her fist into his chest only to succeed in nearly breaking her hand. She hissed in pain, “Spike Draco you ASSHOLE.” Spike just laughed with a face that was somewhere between a smug grin and a troll face.
Her expression however gave a new meaning to ‘If looks could kill’ till she finally growled. “Yeah, just keep laughing dickhead. When we get to the university, I hope I don’t have to see your damn face again, yam ugly son of a bitch.” While normally kept concealed her southern accent showed though when she’s angry, which only caused Spike to redouble his laughter.
She continued to death stare till he finally calmed down. Wiping a laughter tears from his eyes. “Twilight you really need to chill out and take a joke. Take a chill pill and maybe, just maybe, you’ll finally get laid.” Try as he might, Spike couldn’t finish that with a straight face.
Twilight wasn’t amused and considered punching him in his smug grin, but decided against risking her other hand. She already knew how hard his face was from past experience. Instead she continued her death stare.
Half a minute pasted and Spike finally realized that his joke had gone too far. She was like a sister to him, his stupid statement crossed that line. “Alright, I’m sorry. Let me help you.”
She gave a slight nod toward her box saying, “Put that it in my car.” Before she headed into the house.
He looked over her car for a second, a ruby red 2010 Chevy Camaro with racing stripes down the middle. It’s not bad looking or anything but he never got why she got that over a Challenger or something. How’d she even talks her dad into buying the thing?
He picked up the box. It was light. Way to light. He knew he was stronger than Twilight but she shouldn’t have had any trouble with this. Did she only pretend to have trouble? Why would she do that?
Carrying around to the trunk, he found the reason. Her car was already full and she didn’t want to bother pulling stuff out to find room. She’d figured he’d do it. ‘Well jokes on her because I’m not doing that.’ He thought as he shoved it in.
After a few unsuccessful attempts to shut the trunk and some more pushing it still wouldn’t go in. He gave it a few kicks to force it down. On his third something shattered below it and the thing finally when in enough to close the trunk, which he did with a ‘Take that’ kind of grin.
Twilight ran back into the garage. “Hey” She yelled at him, “Be careful with my baby.”
She was looking him with her death stare. He just gave her that smug grin. A moment pasted, and she gave up on intimidating him. She threw a house phone to him, and enjoyed watching him almost drop it in his surprise.
“Your friend Braeburn is in the phone.” She said to him.
He put the phone to his ear. “Hey man, what’s up.”
“Hey Spike. You know how my car is in the shop, so I was wondering if you could give me a ride.”
Spike rolled his eyes. ‘How did I know?’ Spike thought to himself sarcastically. Ever since Braeburn had gotten a license he never could seem to not wreck his car. As a result, he was always bumming rides from his friends.
“Yeah, sure man. Just give me a few minutes and I’ll be there.” He hung up as Braeburn muttered something along the lines of. “I owe you one.”
“I’ll add it to the growing list.” Spike’s said with a slight chuckle.
Putting the phone down, he looked back to Twilight who was still standing there. She said. “Well I’m going to get going, but you better hope you didn’t break anything. If you did, you’ll regret it.”
“Have fun with that.” He countered. She gave a slight growl, the one she does when she’s annoyed, as she got in her car.
There hadn't been much, she would've been able to do involving revenge at this point but Spike, knew. He knew she would try and exact her revenge giving the chance to even try. Though She had much to plan right then. As She was the entitlement of the old saying of Hell hath no fury. It reminded him of the time, she took revenge on him one of the few nights he stood outside the house to admire the moon. She managed to lock him out, He'd forgotten about his jacket, and nearly spent the entire night out there.
She pulled out of the garage stopping just past the Demon. She took a minute to look over the house. He didn’t need to see her face to know she was trying burn everything into her memory. As she backed into the street she gave one last wave. Whether it was to the house or him, he didn’t know. Then she let the engine roar as she zoomed off.
Spike knew she was nervous, but to him that roar was the sound of her determination. Determined to make new friends, to graduate collage, and to show her nerves whose boss. He couldn’t help but smile as he went back into the house. He smiled because he had a secret, he was nervous too.
In the kitchen, there was a woman at the table sipping coffee and reading a book. She looked up as he came in and gave a motherly smile. Her name was Velvet and she was his adopted mother. If he didn’t know better, he might have thought she was his birth mother.
“Good book?” He asked as he reached into the cereal cabinet. Closing the book, she set it down. “It’s good enough.” She said softly.
Spike knew what she meant. When Velvet was worried she read. One of her favorite sayings was, ‘When you’re down, there’s nothing better than a good book.’
“Hey don’t worry. Twilight and I will be fine.” He tried to laugh but couldn’t. So he just ate cereal.
She gave him a small smile. “I’m sure you will, but still. I’m going to miss my children. Have I ever told you that I consider you my son?”
“Come on. Only like 300 hundred-million times. I know that by now.” Spike tried to pass it off like it was no big deal, but he couldn’t help remembering that day.
There wasn't much to his past about how he met Velvet, as he remembers remaining in the system, A few days after the death of his parents. All the kids had been taken to the nearby park that day. For some reason the bullies all ganged up on him. She’d saved him halfway through getting the crap beat out of him. After they’d all run away, she’d asked why they were beating him and he told his story. She’d asked his name and 9 months later he’d been adopted. If she hadn’t been there that day he would’ve never come to this town, never had the Demon, he would’ve never met Twilight. He never liked to think about that.
He realized she had gotten up and was standing next to him. “Well still. Can I at least have a goodbye hug?”
There was an awkward moment but she deserved it. Using all his willpower, Spike stood up and took the motherly hug like a man. She eventually let go, picked up her book, and let Spike eat his breakfast in a comfortable science.
Once his bowl was empty and in the sink, he walked thought the living room. The TV was playing a recording of last night’s game. He had to resist the urge to watch as he passed by Night Light to get to the stairs.
Back in his room Spike only had two things left to pack. The sheets from the bed, which he uncaringly crammed into a copy paper box, and his swords, which he gently placed into a rifle case as if they were newborn babies. The sword rack joined the sheets. Carrying both at once he headed for the Demon. He found Night Light blocking the front door.
Twilight’s Father Night Light was a man in the prime of his life, even in his forties. More than a little tanned, slightly bald, and well-muscled from his construction job, He had that constant look of ‘Don’t fuck with me’ and it really suited him. Past his appearance was a man of few words, who didn’t mind listening to Spike’s problems, but if he ever thought Spike was being a baby about something he would flip like a coin and become a Tasmanian devil. If Spike learned anything from him it was his love of cars, and the fact he’d let Twilight get away with almost anything.
They stared at each other, eye to eye, man to man. After a long moment Night Light finally said.
“Don’t fuck this up boy. You have a future.” He gave Spike a tough pat on the shoulder and went back to the living room.
Spike was so surprised at Night Light’s words he just stood there in shock for half a minute. He peeked his head into the living room. “You too old man.” Spike called over the TV, and then he ran out the front door in case Night Light changed his mind.
He threw his box and rifle case into the back seat of the Demon, but took one last look around before getting in. Just as Twilight had less than an hour ago, Spike tried to memorize every little detail. From the small things like the cracks in the driveway, to how the bushes needed a trim, and even the size of the tree he climbed last night.
He finally forced himself to get in the car. He turned the key, causing the Hemi to roar to life. Normally Spike would’ve enjoyed listening to the engine, but today he didn’t dare take his focus off leaving. If he didn’t get out of the driveway now, he might never convince himself to go. So with one hand on the leather steering wheel and the other on the gear shift, he backed into the street and zoomed off, letting the engine roar as Twilight had before him.
Unfortunately, Braeburn’s house wasn’t very far. Spike wasn’t even 20 above the 25 mph speed limit before he had to slow down. ‘Braeburn could’ve just walked to my place’ Spike thought as he parked on the curb. ‘But he’ll have stuff to bring won’t he. So this will be faster. Hope he doesn’t have as much as me. I only have the backseat left.’ He got out and walked up the driveway to Braeburn’s house.
As he approached the door he felt a cool breeze, bringing with it the sounds of children from up the street. He paused for a moment for it was a sound he was going to miss at collage.
“Snap out of it Spike.” He said to get himself moving. For the second time in an hour he was afraid that if he stopped, he might not leave at all.
He quickly finished his short walk to the porch and raises a hand to knock, but before he made contact with the hardwood the door swung inward to reveal Braeburn.
Braeburn wasn’t much to look at. Dirty blond hair, 5 foot 8, and a think stomach, likely because of genetics or lots of Doritos. You wouldn’t think anything of his appearance unless you noticed his grey eyes. His football player body hid that he had an IQ of 145 and was a bit awkward around people.
Braeburn had a somber expression on his face. “Thanks for this Spike.” As he came out and closed the door behind him.
“Hey don’t worry about.” Spike said with a smile, then he realizes Braeburn was only carrying one box. “Are you forgetting anything?”
“No Spike. Why would you ask that?” Braeburn replied without a hint of emotion. It was totally unlike him and that worried Spike.
Spike Tried to act casual. “Eh, just making sure cause we aren't coming back for a while.”
“I have all my stuff. I decided I needed a fresh start.” Again his lack of tone worried Spike, but since he didn’t seem to want to tell why, there was nothing Spike could say. He just hoped Braeburn was just nervous about leaving and nothing worse.
Simply putting His box in the Dodge slamming the engine shut before moving back towards the passenger side, Spike was simply sitting in the driver side waiting for his friend to join, Placing the key in the ignition and, all it took was a turn of the key and off they went. Spike rolled the windows down a bit and cranked up the radio till the Country music’s guitars and banjo nearly shook the windows.
“Why don’t you ever play some decent music?” Braeburn tried to yell over the noise.
Not able to hear Spike replied, “What?”
“I said, why don’t you ever play some decent music?” Braeburn said as her turned down the radio. “If you listened to Classical you’d be smarter. It’s better than this racket.”
Spike shook his head. “Braeburn if I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a million times. You what to be a genius you play Classical, but if you want to rebuild an engine you put on some Country. Also driver picks music.”
Outside of town Spike push the Demon till they were going 100mph, almost double the speed limit. Window down, wind in his hair, Spike felt alive. Braeburn not so much.
They soon passed the “Leaving Highland County” sign. He saw the red and blue lights as the cop behind the sign pulled out and began chasing them.
“Damn it, just when I’m having fun.” Spike gave a laugh and looked at Braeburn.
His friend was almost terrified. “I know that look Spike you better not be going to-.” Braeburn didn’t get to finish as Spike’s floored the petal going from 100mph to 180 and change. All it would take is one bad turn kill them both. But this wasn’t Spike’s first chase on this road. By the time that cop was up to speed he’d already lost sight of them. 20 minutes later he hadn’t caught so much as a glimpse and gave up.
“YOU HAVE TO BE THE CRAZIEST SON OF A BITCH I EVER KNEW! GOD DAMN IT SPIKE! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US?” Braeburn was yelling at Spike, and had been for the last 15 minutes.
Spike had finally slowed back down to the speed limit, and looked at his friend with his trademark cocky grin. “Yeah but if I wasn’t then I wouldn’t be me boy-o. Besides, life would be boring without me.”
“You could get us arrested! We could go to jail.”
Spike scuffed. “Please. It’s just Wotan. Do you know how many times I’ve done this? It’s just a game at this point.”
Braeburns only replied was muttering curses and insults under his breath. Spike might have been impressed with Braeburn’s vocabulary if he could her them over the music. As they rode away from the only homes they’ve ever known, Spike was thinking how it was like two cowboys riding of in the sunset never to be seen again.
Now if only they had a sunset.
“Dude, we’re clearly lost.” Braeburn said.
“We’re not lost. We’ll be there any minute now.” Said Spike for the 3rd time in half an hour.
“This should’ve been a 6-hour trip. The sun went down 1 an hour ago. When are you going to admit we’re lost?”
Braeburn was absolutely right. 10 hours had passed since they left and sunset was nearly 2 hours ago. If you’ve heard ever heard how some men hate to stop and ask for directions, well then you can figure that Spike was one of those guys. He hated stopping so much that he only did whenever Braeburn got car sick ever couple of hours. Last time they did Braeburn found out that Spike didn’t print any directions and was going from memory. That is how they found themselves on a mostly empty highway.
Spike was about to reply than but Braeburn said, "Spike I think that last sign we passed read, 'Welcome to Mississippi.' Again I think where lost."
“Alright, we’re lost. You’re right. We’ll stop at the next gas station.”
But Instead of stopping for directions right that, his head light, showing the way. Even the star’s seemed to be hiding from him right then.
Spike was feeling the slight extension of his body wearing down from the last few days of packing up and extended partying but he knew he knew he would be getting some sleep. It'd probably be a small two-hour nap at the most but that should've be enough to get him back on his feet, and maybe even going a few rounds’ with Mike Tyson.
Thought the matter was, that Spike was having a rough time trying to keep his eyes on the road, and it was beginning to affect him, But the more he struggled to even stay awake. The heavier his eyelids began to feel.
Braeburn let out a soft moan before saying the name ‘Adam.’ Spike looked at Braeburn, a little more than slightly confused that his friend was muttering a man’s name in his sleep.
“Well That's weird. Never heard him say anything like that before."
There he was driving in the right side of the road, he felt himself slow down, his head moving around looking away from the road as he was getting this odd feeling. As though he was being watched by someone, even the air inside the demon was beginning to bring a chill against his neck. It had to have been something but it still seemed like he was alone on this road. He then did the one thing that helped him calm down most of the time, and that was talking to himself,
“It’s ok me, just relax, you're just imagining things.”
It really didn’t help him much but he went with it right there. As he was hoping for some type of excuse to stop, anything he just was feeling more nervous by the moment like he was about to hit someone.
Spike would continue driving for about another mile, from how it seemed before he looked over seeing a gas station, this was his ticket it seemed like the demon was now, low on he pumped up about fifty, buck worth in gas, and moved parking. He felt himself relaxing right then. As his eyes were flickering, and soon said to himself,
“Five minutes and I’ll get back on the road.”
But that didn’t matter at much as when his eyes finally closed, he was out like a light, and was in what seemed like a dark, slumber only to be alone, hiding in the depths of his mind.

Spike woke trembling once, again in a cold sweat. He couldn't believe that this was even happening. This had to have been at least the fifth time this week he’d come across having these nightmares. Though Spike just couldn’t understand what it was that was even causing these. He was lucky he could even remember them half the time.
He tried concentrate on sleeping… even on the remote idea of sleep had eluded him, for the longest time, even moving here in this town, to this school.
While being here he had grown accustomed to the place, some of the classes he might not get use to others he would, but the matter was it had been a full week since, Him, Twilight, and Braeburn, even the woman whose name was Applejack, whom he spoken too at different times, had gotten there. But he was wearing out from his studies than he figured he would’ve been.
Applejack had soon invaded his mind, it had happened more offended since meeting the mysterious woman, even with the bits of times they had talked he still hadn’t really known her. Though there was something hat drawn her to him. But no matter what he could not get her out of his Mind. The radiant beauty whose name was Applejack. Whenever he looked at her, he couldn’t help but admire her. His mind clouded for the moment, but he had to be reminded, he wasn't in high school, any longer... Hell the feeling for her almost reminded him about being in middle school how his heart would race just hearing her name.
This hadn’t happened to him before, at least not in a long time. With no reason to get to sleep right then or even the flowing desire to he moved over to the laptop. Sitting down on the seat for about the fine moment, when he started turning it on. He figures he could look though what the internet might hold for him.
He softly told himself, getting frustrated, out of all the advance things the computer had for him he was unable to find anything that caught his interest for the short time, turning his head, he’d felt close to ripping his own hair out. Spike then turned looking over at his clock, getting curious at the moment only to see that it was around noon.
"Fuck, it’s morning already.”
He felt surprised right then, but figuring that he needed a moment he moved back to the computer hitting the key's softly He Decided to check on his email for a minute, while he waited for the sight to move on his mind wandered back to the blond, woman who seemed like that of a goddess to him, there he heard a soft Bing, his head moved over right then and he looked over to see he was getting an instant message, he checked right then too see who it was from only to see that the address, only read, (GreyApplejack32@gmail.com .)
He felt surprised right then as he clicked on it reading the message soon, and right there it read;
'Spike.’ It took Spike a moment before he even responded, hitting the keyboard hard, enjoying the clacking sound.
"Hey, Rave." He didn't know why but when he called her that it felt right in all sense.
"So anything up with you."
‘Not much you?’
‘I had an idea, I might try if you want to go with me :)' Spike looked at the screen for a moment wondering if she was serious or not but said back at her,
"What would it be?"
The clicking getting faster, not wanting to waste time before another ping returned to him.
‘Nothing much really just a nightclub in all form, want to come?’
He Grin, softly looking towards the screen typing his response.
‘Sure what's it called?’
The next message seemed to take just abet longer than it should’ve been as he watched those three small dots, raining as he waited for her response.
‘I think it’s something called the Wolf Den.’
For the moment Spike look time, to think about it and wonder who in their right mind would name their place the wolf Den. But shook his head, and sent a response back to her;
‘Sure I have nothing to do might be fun.’
She sent one last response at him.
‘Sure meet me at my dorm in a few minutes. ;)’
Suddenly the screen went black, nearly shutting for no reason at all. Spike didn't care much about it. The only thing that seemed to be a hint of emotion was how he’d given a wide mouth grin spreading across his face. That not even Twilight would knock off him if she had the chance in doing so...
He moved looking over his cloth’s that he’d might’ve worn, though which it would’ve been. Since he didn't want to see rather desperate or a jerk, he headed getting his normal clothes but in the moment, he soon decided to get, something more his style.
A pair of Blue jeans that had a rip on one side, while the other was still intact. His shirt seemed to have a mossy Green to it but felt right at the moment, before he moved placing his key's in his pocket.
Right before he left the room, feeling somewhat hungry, thinking of getting a bite before he headed over, he checked himself out in the mirror.
He looked right at the time, but taking a small whiff, he shook, his head getting a small bit of old spice, getting his neck.
Leaving the room, he couldn't help noticing the women walking around as they were leaving their room's fast, heading towards the co-ed some slowing down for him, as they wore a towel that barely covered them right then, Spike wasn’t able but to help thinking;
‘God I just loved college…’
Taking an a few minutes he turned walking down the hallway heading straight towards Twilightes, dorm. Something about it seemed to call him, almost begging him to come over at that moment. He was thinking of ignoring his instinct, waiting till a bit later, like he agreed to do though realizing, the time for the moment only thought.
"Oh What the hell."
Walking a few feet. Spike stood before the front door, right then. The sight of the oak door, He could tell it was a piece of Crap with the faultier structure on it, most people think that a door, is easy to make when they're wrong. Then he examined the lock it was the same, thing as his, to the point that he could open it if he wanted, with just a credit card. He’d have to place a mental not to get one for them later, install it himself.
Spike motioned over as he began knocking, not a hard one like he’d normally do but it was a good, firm knock, that nearly anyone would’ve noticed, without breaking the door in front of him. Spike then notice, that on the door, was a small hole, which he could tell right then was placed in the wrong way, from how it looked a person could look through it on any end, He grunted more, able to tell that the last person did a shitty, ass job on this place.
A curious thought came to him right then, as he slowly moved over to the hole, he was sure right then that one little, peek won't kill him, as he placed his eye close to the to the hole, and there looked inside.
Seeing inside the room was nothing, at the moment. But he notices, someone moving from one of the restrooms, he didn't know if it was Twilight, or not he was close to moving his head back, Knowing Twilight and her Sixth sense, if she was being looked at, and he knew if she caught him he might be dead. But it wasn't Twilight, it was Applejack, he knew instantly seeing the golden hair, moving down her back, since she was turned around right then.
Spike, soon shook his head. It was than he noticed something rather odd. He watched as she’d been brushing her hair, which was odd, since it seemed her hair, was currently, Red, rather Quibble, almost clumped together like an animal. if he could figure, he almost thought she dyed it for at the instant though that would’ve been impossible, For when Spike looked towards Applejack she still had her soft golden locks upon her head. This made him wonder just for the slightest, on who’s hair it might’ve been? Spike was beginning to move away, at the second, when he heard the door, begin to open and standing there looking towards Applejack stood and simply smiled she soon said;
"Spike there you. I was thinking about you a moment ago.
Spike looked in through the door towards the woman as he couldn’t help but admire just how she looked and what she was wearing a black t-shirt, that fit, right around her, even the sight of her cleavage was shown, right then. He even notices her hair was back, to its golden color. Spike couldn’t help but feel confused remembering what he’d saw for the moment, though He shook it up guessing his eyes where playing with him. Applejack must’ve notice his odd expression;
"Is something wrong Spike?"
The way she said, it so innocently, that Spike, almost caught him off guard. But He said, back a little too smoothly.
"No nothing wrong I just thought I forgot something."
Spike was feeling more relaxed right then, as He looked deep into her eyes. She seemed to calm, from her expression right then, as they stood across from each other. Suddenly Applejack giggled, a bit as she turned around moving back in her room, she then called out to him;
"Are you going to come in or just stand there collecting dust."
"Sure thing Rav, if you insist."
She gave him a smirk that seemed like a challenge. He responded with a wink. Spike, stepped through the door. Getting a better look than he had though the small and hardly seeable peephole, when he began notice how the room was much different from his own, It seemed slightly larger.
The walls seemed to be much different, from his own instead of being the simple egg white shade, it seemed to be closer to being a more baby blue coloring. Then looking over to the side it was clear to tell whose side was who Twilight being on the right side since it was clear that everything was prim and proper, holding it all in the same place as it needed to be not a single thing seemed to be out of line.
It was even more abundant that it was Twilighte's side from the pure scope overlooking to it even just a small glance as she held a set of yellow sheets, and the distinct images of flowers of different looks and ages, this had her name written nearly all over it.
On the other side, though it was Applejacks her bed covered in satin red, blankets two pillows seemingly no pillow covers in sight and just a bit of a mess, nothing too big just having the look as if someone had been sleeping on it not that long ago. Though Spike couldn’t help but imagine what Twilight might’ve thought about Applejacks side. Though when he really got down to thinking about it, she’d probably considered this, and even yell to the world that it was in fact an abundance of utmost chaos, and disorder.
There was area's that was speeded on it some papers, and what seemed and bits of clothing hanging on the bedpost, just slung on there with no care in the world Spike turned looking to her eyebrow raising with a chuckle Applejack simply blushing for the moment before finally saying;
"Sorry about the mess." Spike simply smiled at her, as he responded softly;
"It's ok Trust, me. I’m nothing like Twilight it doesn’t bother me.”
It was than Applejack looked towards him and finally relaxed from how it looked: “Thank god."
Spike couldn't help right then but laugh, as he knew how she felt, living with Twilight, for the last few year's. He simply looked at her, when she responded;
"Oh How rude of me, Please take a seat Spike."
Spike looked towards the bed wondered If he really should. Shrugging it off, and taking the obligation Sitting down. There the two began talking. It wasn't much just what they were taking or what might have been liked right then. Just hearing her voice, so velvet so beautiful to his very ear's it was scary. But not caring he just listened.
Applejack suddenly chuckled, at the moment, as said; “Well Mr. Draco. What interesting Idea’s are going through your head?”
Spike couldn't help it but gave a slight southern accent, and muttered,
"Oh Nothing much just having myself a good ol’ time though the professor in engineering made me look abit stupid.”
"That’s, Dometor am I right?”
He looked stunned right then he didn't remember mentioning him to her, but maybe it had slipped his might for all he could really, tell and just said,
"Yeah that was him."
He then remembers what he had come here for as he looked right in them Green eyes so seductive and beautiful.
“So where’d you hear about the Wolf Den?”
Applejack looked over to him as she smirked soon saying; “Oh Just heard about it from some girl, who’s in my Anthropology class."
Spike nodded some hearing her talking and said, “Well I don't have classes, tomorrow, and we could head over there tonight." She smiled at him rather softly, showing off them pearly, white teeth; "It's a date then."
She giggled, some after that, which Spike chuckled also, as she seemed to be moving over grabbing her jacket. He didn’t know why, but she just moved it over, there right then like she was covering something, but he didn't bother, to ask her right then. As he simple moved standing up, and said,
"So when do you want me to pick you up?" She watched him right then, as she moved over, to her, as she moves that delicate, finger down his chest. As she said,
"How about around Seven. That way by the time I’m done, it’ll be eight and I can make you sit around waiting" Applejack muttered giving a simple giggle looking back towards Spike.
Spike just gave her a nod, he seemed rather speechless, there was something about her that seemed to leave him like that, and he never felt this way, about anyone. He moved, but not of his own will, right then as he moved forward, till he finally realized, he was outside, the room, Applejack closing her door behind, him as she giggled, he turned around right then, wondering what happened.
"What the?"
He then turned back to his room trying to seem calm and collective, for the moment, but he seemed to have been the only remaining in the hallway, which seemed… Odd. But he simply didn't care he just knew he had to get to his room. Spike moved, back towards his room a chip on his shoulder, and remembering he was all alone out in the hallway, he nearly, jumped in the air with joy. His stomach feeling like he had butterfly's in his stomach, but he managed, to control himself. Suddenly, he took a whiff of himself realizing he was a little ripe at the moment, and began to move over needing a shower and one rather badly. As he headed to the personal bathroom.
By the time he knew it. It was almost a quarter to eight, but he didn't care he was getting the last of his cloths ready. He was wearing a white, button up shirt rather stylish, in the matter, as on the right pocket, held a small image, of a phoenix, soaring in the sky, It had to be one of the nicest Shirt's he had, and right then he wanted to look good for her. Then, his jeans a nice pair, of loose fitting jeans that were slimming for him.
In that moment Spike, started to walk over to the small, coffee table. Where he took taking his set of keys, and his wallet, Putting it deep in his left hand pocket. Right as he was getting to leave, he moved putting on a pair of diamond back-Skinned boots, that fit snuggly onto his back holding close as he chuckled. These had been the finest set he had, as he only wore them on special occasion, He’d barely even worn them out, from the way they looked almost completely new.
Spike sighed before walking towards the door, heading out. Getting ahold of his nerves. Spike turned walking back towards Applejacks dorm simply smiling as he headed towards her only to see that Applejack herself was moving over to him in a quick jog, his eyes, moved down, unable to help admire the way she moved the flow of her body while she moved closer to him. Spike eyes begin wondering over Applejack’s body, He couldn’t help but think of and how she might’ve looked by the end of the night- That was till he tighten his hand reminding himself this was the first date, though the thought lingered close.
Applejack walked towards him only wearing a Red, V-neck shirt which fit her perfectly. A pair of formfitting shorts. That fit around her tightly almost the exact same ones that she’d worn the first time they met. Spike couldn’t think of anything less than she looked amazing in his eyes.
Spike, continued Admiring her for the shortest time. That’s when Applejack took notice of his wondering eyes on her and simply staring, before shaking her head, Spike notice this quickly Looking up to her when she simply muttered looking slightly concerned;
"Is there Something wrong, do I look terrible."
When He heard this he shook his head almost immediately looking at her directly in the eyes with a compassionate smile:
"No, you don’t look terrible. You look beautiful."
She smiled hearing him say that taking it as a compliment, while, they were beginning to move away. Right then they began to walk down the hall, Spike couldn't see it, but he could almost feel Applejack's eyes right on him, watching him closely, He had a feeling she was liking what she was seeing, but said nothing about it at the time.
rooms they were able to hear, a large banging. (Spike again, couldn't help but enjoy.
As they walked down the hall they heard loud music coming from every other room, Fre couldn’t help but chuckle as they head towards the stair’s for the moment Though they continued onwards ignoring the noise music just hanging close, Spike couldn’t help but enjoy it the college lifestyle doing things He’d never have been able to get away with at home
They were nearly out of the dorm building thanks to Spike, Spike had managed in the last few days to figuring out a better way of getting out of the long bulding in the best time, going the near labyrinth they’d called a dorm building. Applejack followed him closely, paying attention to every turn and corner, even if she was there a little, longer she was surprised by how fast she got, out of the place.
Though It wasn’t long before they managed to get down the stairs and towards the parking lot. It was only around eight o’clock. Though the moon seemed to be out, in the sky, at it’s highest point without a cloud in the sky shining down bright on them, which was odd. Spike had figured that it would’ve rained though maybe the fates where wishing him a good night, With the young lady. It wasn't as full or as beautiful as it had been a week ago it was currently being a waning moon, So it wouldn’t have affected him like it would’ve on those night but to him it seemed perfect. Applejack walked behind him. Turning a good pace, as she looked out in the distance where she looked seeing the Demon, parked under the glowing radiance of the street light.
Nearly upon the first sight of the magnificent car. Applejack Looked towards it seeming rather mesmerized by how it looked. She walked towards it her eyes never looking away as she went passed Spike reaching over to the hood, hovering over, looking at her green reflection on the outer, shell. Her hand reaching over it for a moment a quiet moment as she went and touched it. Her soft hand pressed against it. Under most situation Spike might’ve gotten made over someone placing their fingers on the Demons hood, with the thought of their oiled finger ruining the hoods image. Though Looking at Applejack he couldn’t say anything he didn’t want to it was so rare to see someone this mesmerized by the car.
"I'm Guessing from your reaction you like what you see."
When First Spike saw her he would’ve admitted she seemed like the kind of woman who would’ve gone for Chevy V6 for the most but seeing her like, this of all things seemed to just make him smile. Applejack turned her head, she looked rather breathless, right then as she took a deep breath, speaking rather fast but He hung onto ever word she said never forgetting them.
"It’s a 1971 dodge Demon, with its original, body stock, and parts! This is simply amazing."
Spike's heart skipped the beat hearing her say that, as that. Then giving one of the biggest grin's he ever had in a long time. He’d never met women like her before, She was definitely different from any women He’d ever met even the ones from his own town.
"Well actually most of the parts are really, N.O.S (New, Old, Stock.) like the fender, most of it was original, but I got it from this old man, from Maine, a bit of the sides, were rusted, and manage to weld stuff from old scrap metal onto it which is the exterior, then with the interior I used it from an 86' dodge, giving it comfort."
Then a pause of silence rushed from the, rustling over, them in a moment, as Applejack smiled, a bit she seemed impressed right then, as she moved overturning her hips going to the passenger side, She jokingly said,
"I Hope I can drive some of." She winked right then, Spike would have let her right then, but shaking his head, he moved over opening the passenger door, the long creek could be heard, Spike had to remember later, to get it oiled, when he had a chance.
"Oh my gentleman, How kind of you."
Applejack sat in the passenger side she looked over on the driver side than to road. Spike Rushed, over to the driver’s side, getting in as he moved, turning the engine. It roared loud, Applejack squealed in delight, as she looked at Spike getting giddy, Spike, figured he would play with her, right then hitting the pedal, causing the engine to go up. It got her, even more, excited. Then the engine, went down to a low, purr;
“Hmm a Gentleman, and not afraid to go a little fast."
Her eyes changed, a bit instead of the bright Green she had, to what seemed somewhat red, Now it wasn't an angry Red it seemed like she was wanting him, but it went away, and her eyes were back to being them sparkling Green.
"Well then, I will show you how fast this Demon can go Rave."
He moved, out of the parking lot, and then. He drove out fast, the engine, roared, again away, from the school, In 3.2 second, Spike was already seemed to be pushing around sixty mph.
"Hold on Applejack."
Applejacks smile seemed to continue growing wider, watching Spike moving over holding the stick shift, shifting gears, seeming to go faster, by the moment. The feeling of the windows rolled down letting a rush of cold air embelish over them as it seemed to feel so right not a worry or care in the world. Just the two of them riding down the road, having the time of there young lives.
He watched Applejack from around the corner of his eyes. Seeing her simply smiling and having the time of his eyes, the way her hair went back and forth though the air, she seemed almost tempted as if she wanted to stick her head out of the window feeling the rush of the cold breeze moving in her hair, Spike would’ve chuckled about this, before returning his eyes back to the road once more, as they went down passing the other headlights. They moved, down the dark granite, road. The Demon's head light’s illuminating ahead of them as they followed the way going forth down the soft road, in the clearness of night, Spike kept his eyes turned around looking almost all over the place making sure that there wasn't a cop in sight, but for Spike he didn’t care, they probably wouldn't be a problem for him as long as he had the demon with it he felt nearly unstoppable. You could’ve called him cocky for the idea, Though with him anything seemed possible.
Applejack began holding onto her seat, with on hand near Spike’s as she watched over almost giggling, laughing in pure excitement. Spike chuckled some as he enjoyed feeling where her, hand there.
He knew that the Demon, had this effect on people mainly women, the way it seemed. Getting them excited, by the second going down the dirt road. Moving down the road, right before they entered the rather large city, Just cruising down, was a simple, enough watching around in the town, it seemed like a normal city, at the moment, the lights on rather bright you couldn't see the star's, most of the building were higher than they needed to be, But that didn't concern them as they knew where they were going.
Taking another, turn on the rather crowded road they could see the entrance of the club, it seemed odd, when he looked at it, from how it seemed it was more of a bar than anything. Giving that rustic feeling to it. But he knew that there had to be more than met the eye with it. So he headed to park across the street from it.
Spike moved out of the demon, First might he say, which he wasn't surprised as he looked at the passenger side, seeing Applejack move out of the car, She seemed like she was getting her composure back, then taking a breath, Shuddering some, before they began walking to the Building. The building had a large sign over it light's surrounded over it, even with the rustiness, with it there was forms of modern look to it as the sign over it stating, 'The Wolf Den.'
People couldn't help, but look at the smooth, car while they walked away, but the way it seemed most, of the men were looking at her. They moved across the street. Managing to pass the car's driving passed, them getting lucky, as they missed him. They headed, closer to the building there was now a large group of people. They moved passed them with great ease they didn't seem to notice, him or Applejack, Which he didn't mind or care if they did or not. Right then coming into sight, Spike was able to see two people standing right in front of the door.
In the effect, the two, men were larger than average, each of them a six feet, and were bulked up. While they moved forward up to them, the more, muscled bound of the two men.
One a black man with greasy black hair, looked at him giving him a dirty, look that burried into Spike, as though he was about a second or two he’d be kicking Spike out from entering the place. That’s lat least how his facial expression told him since he was wearing a pair of black sunglasses that covered over his eyes. Simply looking them than To Applejack a simple chuckle on his face. The other man, just a bit smaller, than the black man, who skin was white. He looked at Spike, like he would do the same thing but he looked just as tuff if not abet tougher and stronger then man who stood on the opposite side of him. Spike looked towards them for the moment, his for the shortest moment seeming to Colden upon looking at each of them never leaving as he refused to flinch almost as if they were communicating something that no one else around them would’ve been able to hear. The two simply looked at Spike stairing into his eyes at least thts what Spike was figuring though with the other it was harder to tell, that was before they each game him a large tooth grin, patting the other on the shoulder before letting them into the room. Applejack looked at him for a moment as they got inside, and said;
"What did you just do there Spike?”
“Don’t know really just looked them in the eyes and simply showed I wasn’t going to back off so easily.” Spike simply chuckled looking over at the slightly confused Applejack before she shook her head, they were inside that all that mattered. Being inside, the sound of, music blared in them, some of it was rock others was country. On one side, there was a bar, older men, were sitting, drinking a beer just minding their own business, on other side an area to dance, it had a much younger group mainly people in their twenty's college student's. Hell Spike looked hard enough he saw, a poker table in the end corner.
Spike couldn't help for a moment, to move over to the table seeing the sight of the man shuffling the deck almost like a pro.
But he remembered he wasn't alone at the moment, he had the ever so beautiful Applejack next to him. He was as lucky as he could have been.
Applejack looked over, at him for a second, smiling she seemed focused on him right then, as she took his hand, against his she was as smooth, as silk.
"Come on Spikedie, let's dance."
Spike was shocked hearing that, "Ok..."
Most people never called him Spikedy, remembering the last time, someone had done that in Highland, the guy ended up in a wall. But for her he would ignore it, beside, the way she said it was cute. The beat of the music, raised the mood, while Applejack looked at him, as she suddenly took him, off and said,
Spike looked at her for a moment, and just nodded, as she pulled him, down there. Now there was one thing Spike wasn't able to do and that was dance, when it came to it he was almost like a bull in a china shop, and just didn't have a sense of rhythm, Spike moved, on there watching her as she moved, her body going elegantly to him it was amazing, as he could stand there watching her, but he was feeling like they were watching as he started to move his leg some to the beat. He moved, together with her, as they started to dance.
The music, moved with them, as they kept going, Spike stumbled some. But soon the music, was changing he didn't know how long they were doing this, but Applejack wiped some sweat from her, brow before telling him she needed to use the restroom, leaving him right then. Spike smacked his lips, right then they felt dry, he was glad she left, so he decided to get something to drink. He walked over to the bar side, moving past the bouncer. The bouncer didn't seem to notice him. Right there, Spike then notice that some, women who might have had a little too much. Where on the table now random one's as they seemed to be dancing.
The bartender looked at Spike, right then staring at him with those cold black eyes he had, He wasn't much taller, than him but the beard definitely made him look older. Spike decided to push his luck right then,
"How about a west cApplejack apple Boss."
The bartender looked over to Spike his eyes on him looking rather unsettleing even for Spike as he chuckled softly though even that seemed to send a shivver down his spine before he spoke in a clear voice.
"Nice try kid, Might’ve, gotten past, those Bouncer there. but ya’h ain’t getting one over me, so you best be sticking with water or you’ll be outta here and I’ll make sure it’ll be me doing the tossing.”
The nameless bartender, moved back heading to the sink filling a glass, with water, placing it in between him and Spike. Spike could notice that on the bartender shoulder held a faintly black tattoo, of the word U.S. Navy Which was a sign he shouldn’t even try messing with this guy or he’d be getting his own ass handed to him. The glass was fairly, clean from how it looked, but the water, on the other hand the water looked utterly nasty like it just came out from the sewer itself. Spike let out a gulp and the Bartender looking at him his arms crossed as he watched Spike seeing if he’d drink it. Spike couldn’t help but thought the bartender might have called him something under his breath was nearly hard to even hear it.
Spike just manned up against it taking the glass in hand, as moved it to his lip's gulping it down, Right as it moved in his hand, Spike almost got sick right then, But he held it down, Spike could only think trying to hide the discuss from the man still standing infront of him ignoring the others around him.
‘This stuff taste like it came from a sewer.’
Leaving the glass, there, Spike was thinking of heading back to the Dance floor, Applejack had to have been back right then. He turned his head planning to find Applejack. Right then he looked seeing a group of three, they were sitting around in a circle, they were drinking at the most. When Spike looked at them it seemed to have gotten their attention. Spike ignored their looks, as he walked passed them, as he did they started to talk, they sounded rather drunkenly, barely able to finish a sentence, but he managed to hear one of them say,
"Hey... Dillon Remember seeing that hot ass blond, god what I would do to have that hot piece of ass."
Spike looked over seeing them He had a feeling they started it, because he passed, them. This caused, him to stop for a moment, which they noticed also, when another one of them said,
"Oh yeah Doug the one that headed right in the restroom."
Spike grunted, some but none of them seemed to notice. Spike couldn't help but frown at the moment, noticing one of them eyed him, and they were getting loader. He was getting ready to leave, but for the heck of it he couldn't help but look at them none of them were even in the same ballpark let alone anywhere near Applejack's league. The first one, from what Spike could tell might’ve been the youngest short blond hair blue eyes and a groggy complection that seemed to have a drunken look that seemed to almost read first timer. The rest of them, was an odd group.
A black man with an afro, or who, Spike would guess was Doug, Though really the hair looked more like a rat's nest, he wasn't big, but he was wide, he looked almost like the dark skinned bodyguard. Which might not have been a coincidence. Another man with light brown hair, he was about five foot, six. It was funny especially, because he was permanently crossed eyed.
The black man looked at the other, and said,
"I'll agree with you man that little, blond girl is just a fine piece of ass."
Spike growled at the moment, not liking how they were talking about Applejack. Then the man named Dillan, at least, Spike could have guessed, he was the man in the middle and the oldest of them. He seemed the most sober, of them all, almost like he hadn't had a drink all night, but he was more than anything under twenty-one. He gave a wrenching tooth grin, that was more yellowed, then the sun.
His eyes darted over, at Spike, right then and spoke;
"Yeah but it's too back that she came here with a guy."
For a moment, Spike was thinking the guy was ok, but only for a second, when the guy got up.
"Yeah she was too bad he won't be able to go home with her."
Spike's eyes looked at him more, he knew Dillan was talking to him right then, as Spike remained silent Dillan did the opposite, talking his sober ass off.
"Yeah when we're done, they will be scrapping his ass, off the ground she will be on her hands and knees begging for more, and more..."
Spike lost it right then Grabbing Dillan’s shirt holding onto it rather tightly, as he seemed to almost be picking him up. The other looked at him, they were shocked, right then, as each of them turned to get up ready to jump on Spike.
"Yeah How about that guy, simply knock you on your ass."
He let go of him, right then as he walked away he could feel the bouncers, eyes dangling right on him, they wanted him to do something. Just so they had something to do right then. This didn't stop the group, the way it seemed, they didn't have much brain cells to begin with, but adding Beer, and scotch in the processor, and they actually thought they were ten feet tall, and bulletproof. The Dillan started, speck, even than while still having trouble standing up for the moment;
"Look at him leave like a dog, his leg between his tails." Spike grunted, and spoke.
"You mean like a dog, with his tail, between his legs. Dumbass."
Spike corrected him before going back to the dance, floor. But it seemed to get them pissed, off. They even looked like they were about to jump on him. But something stopped them, Spike actually knew what stopped them the very same bouncers. Who tried stopped Spike from getting in with Applejack.
Spike grunted, some but decided that he would give them what they wanted, and that was a fight, and he would make sure that they would get one.
"Come on then."
There he would walk, out of 'The Wolf Den'...
In a moment, they left the bar, passing the dance room, Spike didn't know how long it had been But He didn't see Applejack, She must have been doing something or saw something, though What She was doing, Spike might not have known. He wondered some, Spike couldn't help but smile, some moving out as they turned from the building and going into the, alley
The alley was rather deserted except the sound of rat’s festering in it, even the shadow of a large dog for a moment before it left. There was a second of silent, and turned around looking at them just smiling right then examining them all. The large African American looked at him, before saying,
“What’s with the smile Cracker, your ass is going to be kicked in a moment.”
Doug muttered, they surrounded now most who didn’t know Spike would think this was a bad situation, but Spike was keeping his cool, and said to them.
“Want me to go fast or slow your choice.”
They looked confused as he asked the question for a moment, but they moved closer to him by the second,
“Why should we tell you that you're still going to lose, its four to one.”
“Figure I would be nice, and beside I like them odd’s.”
What they didn’t realize or where two drunk to really think about it but there was two types of fighting, that were true the first one was slower more controlling it might take a while but it was more warmer to the eye, which they used on television, then there was fast, real fighting, quick unpredictable, and more likely to get hurt in the process even get killed. That was at least how Night Light Describe to him, when He was teaching Spike how to fight incase trouble ever truly raised and there was no way to ever truly avoid a fight to come.
“So which will it be fast or slow? You’ll get the choice.”
From the utmost expression of each of the other men’s face they must’ve felt they were given a gift, though it probably was the swimming bits of Alcohol that went through their brains, and they just didn’t think that far ahead, Dillon walked up looking over at Spike giving that long nasty grin and Soon simply muttered;
“Sure That how about you just go nice n’ Slow for us. That way we can take you down faster.” Dillon than turned his head back looking at the other two, Doug ran right at Spike giving a drunken smile, before popping his knuckles Soon exclaiming.
“Easy as Pie.”
“You sure never judge a person from how they look.” Spike said, standing in the same position never moving just holding a cocky smile and a demeanor that held confidence over him.
Doug, Went towards Spike, wobbling and jerking since he barely walked straight came right towards Spike, his hand clenched in a fist, aiming it right towards Spike’s face, Spike simply took advantage of being the more sober between them and quickly ducked out of the way, and Soon twisted himself around thrusting his elbow hard into the African American man right in his collar bone, Given the chance to hear if it was quiet enough you could’ve heard from the other guy collar bone slightly crack, and Doug head jerked up and yelled into the air, with pure pain, His eyes shutting completely closed and only managing to state;
“Holy Fuck balls that hurt!”
He tried getting up but was having trouble with the rush of pain, and with that the other two who’d been watching than Looked towards the other. The Nameless Blond moved up Looking over at Doug and muttered,
“Ya’ got lucky pal, but you’re not gonna get me.”
Spike could tell right then Dillon, who was still hiding in the back he might have been the leader of this odd group but he was the most cowardly of the group. Refusing to fight that or he was the smartest one out of the lot.
Doug moved, Away holding his chest each move caused him to wince in pain.
Spike left him alone from how it seemed that the sound of cracking might have been his collarbone snapping like a twig, He just watched right the others as the blond moved more, as Spike figure he wasn’t going to hold back like his friend was thinking he was hot stuff. His hands were up defensively almost like a boxer, so Spike moved giving the same way, wanting to be far, when he watched him run right at him with speed. As he tackled Spike right into the wall. Pain rushed through Spike’s back as he watched as the man took advantage of Spike, slight form of shock as he began punching Spike where he could going for his chest, Spike felt then the guy had a hell of a right hook. But he went too far when he moved hitting Spike right in the cheek.
Spike’s saw the blond haired man, and his eyes narrowed. Spike couldn’t think of their names. Looked scared but before he could keep moving Spike moved his leg’s up kicking him back as Blondie forward. Stumbled back trying to get stabled, Spike moved right there, his hand in a fist as he punched the blond haired man right in the noise.
“Gahh my nose my beautiful noise.”
The Blond reached grabbing ahold of his noise almost cry in pain, blood slowly dripping from his clearly broken noise. Though he didn’t stay down. He tried, to punch Spike once more. But Spike moved catching the fist, as he twisted, him around as Spike had his foot on his back before pulling his arm back, as The other man screamed a high pitch sound from it before falling down.
Spike must’ve dislocated the man’s shoulder, maybe even broke it before taking that right hook away. He let him go, as it looked like he was about to pass out but he would live that was for sure. Spike took in a breath, he felt adrenaline rushing over him taking them down, it felt natural he just missed the burning rush that came from kicking the sorry ass of someone who, thought they were better than the rest. He looked over fast looking for Dillan, seeing where he went right then, as it was odd of the guy being silent when a couple of his friends, just got beaten down and hard. As he looked over and saw that the coward was gone by now leaving his Friends behind.
Spike would only look down on the ground soon spitting as his guard was down by then. He turned around planning to let them go off, as he went back to Applejack feeling he won this little battle. Spike simply took a single step away and that’s when he heard the light whistling sound coming from right behind him. After that there came a loud thump made contact with his head, and the sounds of a bottle cracking behind him. For a moment Spike felt nothing but then he began feeling slightly woozy before he began to move around for a moment, barely able to stay up the sharpness in his skull was horrible, he wouldn’t deny it, as he moved his hand back feeling a warm stickiness to it looking at it for a moment, with the moonlight helping he saw it his own blood, Spike moved down on his knees.
As he laid there he manage to turn his body around seeing who might have attacked him but he knew, as he looked seeing, Dillon there with a now broken end of a bottle, his sick smile moving across his face right then, as he soon moved into Spike’s side pocket, and pulling out his Key’s but not any of the key’s but one, that keys of the Demon.
“Thanks for the car bitch. Can’t wait for that piece of ass to come out just so I can say you told me to take her home.”
He chuckled right then starting to leave Spike’s limited amount of sight and in that moment Spike blacked out…
In the moment Spike felt as if he was in complete Darkness, nothing forward and nothing back he just floated in place right then, he was nowhere, but he was in piece for the time. When suddenly he felt something sharp moving in his neck for a moment then a voice,
“Wake up! Wake up god damn you!” He didn’t know who it was but he felt himself being slapped, hard in his cheek it was light but annoyed him for a moment as he opened his eyes slowly, His vision was blurry right then but it cleared slowly,
“Hnngg…?”
Spike commented for a moment not able to tell what was going on for a second as all he could really see was a dark shadowy figure. Spike tried getting a good look onto his face but wasn’t able to see anything he was too far because of the shrouded face in the darkness.
“Come on kid let’s get you up.”
The deep voice, coming from the shadow, as he moved helping Spike back up to his Feet, not too fast, but in the end Spike was able to stand on his feet barely but he could, the sharp pain was still right behind his head but it wasn’t like it was before. But it wasn’t as bad. He was forced to turn right then as the man simply said,
“Go back to what your doing kid and don’t look back.”
Spike wondered what he meant from that, as he turned his head and looked seeing the stranger was gone, almost like he wasn’t there before, Spike shook his head right then pretending it was nothing for the moment and soon he began to walk out of that alley.
Right then as he moved out of that dark alleyway, he was hearing muffled sounds coming close to him, he wondered for a moment who it was as he moved over to the sound, Spike moved closer to the sound as he did he couldn’t help but laugh a bit with what he actually saw.
Right there before him was three people tied up to a telephone pole, right there but they were lacking a couple of thing’s which was mainly cloths. and over the shortest head, who Spike now recognized as Dillon was a set of keys and a sheet of paper, that said his name,
Spike soon Remembering what happened he looked towards them reached and simply cracked his knuckles which when he did cause the three men to panic, Spike only smirked looking towards them before reaching over towards Dillion taking the key’s back along with the small note which had his name, and left them before the small club for whatever it is that might accuse next.
As he was moving in everyone at the time, started to come out, and most of them happened to be female. He ignored them hearing a large portion of laughter, Spike had a feeling they wouldn’t bother him for a while or tell anyone what happened to them or who did it to them. Spike reentered the place looking around it was almost empty from the look, after everyone left looking at the three tied to the phone poll. He then looked seeing Applejack she was sitting at one of the chair’s she was all by herself right then she looked rather depressed right then, as he moved over to her, as he got to her she didn’t seem to notice him as he then said,
“This seat taken?”
She looked up to see who it was when she realized that it was Spike himself, her sad look seemed to rise right then, as she simply said,
“Where were you Spike?” She sounded mad right then and he couldn’t help but move a step back remembering the last time he made a woman sound that way. He still couldn’t go to an airport without explaining the pieces of buckshot’s resting in his rear.
“Sorry about vanishing there a couple of guy’s attacked me, though It’s ok I took care of it though, just so you know their outside, screaming its cold outside.”
Applejack paused right there opening him mouth trying to get the words out, turning before finally saying towards the man, all the while holding the smallest bit of confusion in her eyes.
“H-How? It’s like eighty-five degrees outside how can it be co- Never mind.”
Spike smiled some seeing how she looked like that until she notice the blood creeping down his neck. There she looked scared.
“F-Spike you're bleeding.” He moved his hand over some, as he looked at the small droplets of blood that had dangled down, as he said rather calmly.
“It’s nothing Applejack Just some guy, hit me with a bottle broke it over my head I’m alright.”
“Spike You’re calling this nothing I can see blood that isn’t nothing!”
He moved his hand over his head for a second as he watched her trying to reassure that he was in fact ok. But she refused to listen to him almost insisting that she would take him to the hospital to be taken it.
“I said I’m fine I don’t need to see a doctor.”
“Well Mr. I don’t care Where going to get you checked out right this instant.”
It was than Applejack forced Spike right into the passenger side of the Demon- his own car! Taking his keys from him, soon taking him to what had to have been the closest urgant care Hospital. It seemed rather simple from it but pretty much like Spike Said, it was nothing, it could have been a mild concussion at the most, and just for her to watch him. This seemed to make her feel more relax though.
By the time they had actually made it back from the hospital it was around midnight from the look of it, most of the dorms were closed, nothing two big on it, They slowly moved down the hall Applejack’s hand gently around Spike’s as she seemed to be helping him up despite his own protests. They were almost to his, room, as they began moving pass Applejack, and Twilight’s Room.
He couldn’t help for a second noticing something hanging from around the door, from what it looked like it was a red, tie. This caused Spike himself to see red. Applejack didn’t notice his anger for a second, until she heard a rather beastly growl that gave her a small scare. As she looked back at him.
Spike looked over towards the door, as he took in sight of the tie that seemed to hang off Applejack and Twilightes room while his brotherly instinct began to unfold and soon he began specking though it seemed to remain in his steady voice you could just hear the fury of it, Spike could only wish the person in that room with Twilight could hear him right at this moment;
“I’m going to go in that room and kick his fucking ass..!”
He was moving his hand right then heading over to the door knob. His first step he did moving from Applejack he still wobbled for a second or two, but he was getting more use to his own weight, at that second he could feel Applejacks soft hand touch his shoulder.
This caused him to turn his head rather quickly looking at her while she gave him a rather soft, and compassionate look, this seemed to stop him, for a moment, and he then heard her say,
“How about we just go back to your room, before someone gets hurt again.”
Right then she squeezed his shoulder this time hard, he had never been easy to feel pain but when she did it he couldn’t help but bend to her will especially right then. Even how she asked him, he couldn’t deny her, as he just kept walking taking her back to his room.
Spike soon unlocked the door, looking at it right then before they stepped in, the inside of the place was just like how it was a little messy nothing to much he just didn’t think that there would be people be coming over especially after the event. He managed to move by himself for a moment as he separated the large bed turning it back into two, for the time as he simply said,
“You can take this one if you want.” He wanted her to feel comfortable removing a few of his own pillows placing it on her bed.
Applejack looked at him for a moment as she then started walking over to the bed her hips moving so seductively, Spike gulped as a bit of sweat trickled down his temple She seemed to notice this for a moment giving a warm smile, as she moved grabbing the base of the bed.
“Don’t worry Spike I won’t bite... much.” She said with a wink.
Spike didn’t hesitate right then moving into the bed, removing the white colored shirt, as he headed right under the colors, he watched Applejack almost lustfully but it seemed all she did for him was take off her shoes, before moving right into the bed, not even bothering with her cloths almost teasing him much to his frustration he had to guess he would have to wait another night, but somehow he felt himself rather lucky to even be in this moment. Applejack headed closer to him, the warmth of her touch of her hand pressing against him only made breath Heavily, though she took no notice this, as She moved near pressing her elegant body right up against him as she rested her head on the pillow.
Spike began doing the same thing right then as he felt his body getting heavy by the second his eyes slowly shutting while he took the time taking in the beauty that laid before him… Right then he felt himself getting closer to sleep as he felt more relax then he had in a long time. Suddenly a question popped in his head.
‘Who was the man in the shadow?’
Journey to the Spirit world
Spike went down into a deep slumber, he was soon beginning to enter a dream state, his body felt ever so heavy, as he was drifting off. He couldn’t see anything, and then he was beginning to see fields. Fields going as far as Spike was able to see at that point, the feeling of the warm sun hitting his face, right then, he almost thought he was having a wonderful Dream. For the moment he was that was until he felt himself being pulled, he tried fighting it, but whatever this strange force seemed to be strong, as he was moving rather fast, the sun moving down for the day.
Right as Spike was moving with the sun while it began setting, but he was not in the darkness he was able to see rather bright light, as he was now moving onto a city, rather large from the look of it, as the lights were strong enough to remove the beauty of the star light.
“Wow I can already tell this isn’t gonna be normal...” Spike’s voice echoing off into the distance.
Then he felt the grip of earth gravity begin pulling him down from the minute of pure weightlessness. Spike could feel his stomach, felt almost like it was moving up his throat, and would Rushed out of his mouth if given the chance two though it seemed like it never game the feeling of his body Acceleration seemed to gradually slow down as he watched up wondering where it was he might’ve been.
Spike looked towards the night sky the feeling of his feet moving safely on the air’s tides, while he looked up he couldn’t help but notice the sight of the moon. It seemed rather bloody for a second. Really this moment was only missing the harsh sound of the first six minutes of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata to add into the strange and mysteriousness of the moment. Just the vagueness. The sense of dread began raining down upon him. It seemed impossible since the harvest moon was months away so this should’ve been impossible to even happen even if this was a dream.
Then he heard the sounds of footsteps echo out into the bleak distance surrounded by darkness. Spike would begin walking towards those mysterious footsteps, feeling determination come over him wanting to find out who it might’ve been that was making the sounds. Spike could only guess it was a dream still, though everything seemed more realistic than most almost the same as the dream he had the night before reaching the college, So he decided to take note and try to remember every bit of the smallest details not to forget them in case something about it might’ve been important in the long run.
He walked towards the echoing footsteps and where it had lead him to. He then saw a woman, walking down the long dark sidewalk, by her side was a rather large dog from what could be told it was a Doberman mixed with what seemed Rottweiler, and abet of newfoundland, judging from the beastly dogs size and look. Its fur was black with a white pattern around his neck. Spike was only able to see a woman standing tall being at least in her mid-forties but it was easy to realized that she’d been a who if you asked how old she was, would simply say;
‘Oh I’m only about twenty-nine good sir.’ The woman had Long fiery red hair going down her back, and what seemed straight, until it reached the tips of her hair which was at her shoulders. She wore, simple oval glasses the perched over her nose, barely under her eyes. From what he could tell she had just gotten off of work and didn’t even bother getting change, before taking her dog out.
She continued moving down the long, sidewalk, from what Spike could tell looking in them dark brown eyes which, had a hint of blue in them. Suddenly the sound of ringing could be heard from the woman’s pocket, Spike could have figured that it was a cell phone.
It rang for a once maybe even twice. Spike didn't pay much attention to that really. He mainly looked over seeing the woman fumbled through her purse. Whoever the nameless woman was must not have worried much of money since Spike looked over it as it seen Twilight looked over purses like those unline and it seemed like one that came over from across the sea’s Italy for the most. Though he never really understood why a woman would want to spend so much on a bag, they’d only use a week before getting one he’d never know.
"Hello!?" The women spoke rather loudly into the phone, as there was a moment of silence, Spike thought he heard a meek voice but it was soon interrupted by the woman as she said,
"Oh no you don't you better listen to me!"
She sounded mad right then, as she was barking order's right at the poor man, who she was talking too. Whatever the person on the other line said, it managed to put her in a bad mood. She then said,
"Now listen here you get those deeds to the land, and right now!" more silence from the other man who might have been cowering, but Spike watched, her talk, but he could tell, was he didn't like this woman, she seems like the kind of person who thinks her own shit didn't smell.
"Yeah, yeah, well I don't care for a small little riot, from them little hicks. Or what the law say's just fucking do it! Hold on I have another call."
With that she simply hanged up on the man, and placed the phone away.
"You know Ares hate, hearing people Just can’t get the job done right, if I hired they they should do the job done, a second after I ask them.”
She simply looked spoke out, like she was talking to someone before laughing, at the moment, taking her dog off longer,
She simply stated to her dog looking down as she turned giving a slightly laugh looking back ahead as the dog, only gave a ‘Gruff.’ And Followed his master.
Spike kept moving after her. Not that he really cared about it, though the fact was some strange and unknown force seemed to be pulling him onwards to watch and followed the woman at the time, he had no full control over his body it seemed like. There, she kept moving looking at her dog almost lovingly, it seemed like that animal was one of the very few things she actually ever loved. It seemed like nothing was going to happen, Spike was about to leave her, when suddenly the large dog, started whining, almost like a newborn puppy, as it seemed, like it wanted to get away.
"Ares what's wrong boy?" She sounded concerned, right then.
Ares the dog, Tried fighting his mistress pulling and tugging off trying to get her away from the direction they were heading. As if it was feeling something- No it knew something was there that his mistress couldn’t see, and it feared the idea of what it could do. Even Spike was starting to wonder what was wrong with the poor animal. Soon the large dog mustered all its strength pulling from the woman in doing so began breaking the leash and running far from his master, as Ares the dog ran away, the woman screamed for him;
“ARES COME BACK BABY!”
She yelled out as loud as she could have hoping the dog would on the small chance return to her She stood there, her foot slamming on the ground which was bad at the moment wearing what looked like an expensive pair of heel's really if she needed to she could run after the dog, and catch up getting a hold but she simply started to walk, in the direction Ares went... Right then as she was moving after the dog. She only heard the loud growling bark of the large k-9. She knew Ares loud barking coming from the distance. The barking lasted for a moment, growing louder than came a loud yelping whine of pain before silence, when the bussiness woman looked towards where her dog had ran off. That was when the fog slowly rolled out towards her, coming from some unknown force though she never thought about it. As she looked into it, she was about to run into the fog. She screamed, and yelled into the fog,
"ARES DON'T WORRY BABY BOY MOMMY'S COMING!"
She began running, trying to go as fast as she could, but all she could see was nothing. She was getting worried, and began yelling out the dog's name... Soon the area around her turned silent, she looked around, as she felt herself getting scared, as there was no sound around her not even the chirping of crickets. Even a small voice in her head was yelling at her, Spike somehow knew she was in trouble and soon Spike would scream out towards the woman though somehow knew that she’d never hear him: "Run... RUN NOW!"
Under the fog came a soft growl, for a moment the woman thought it might have been Ares but deep down she knew that wasn't her dog, with that she turned around and started to run. Fight or flight had turned on and it chose to flight on her. When she started to run, she went into a full blown sprint moving as far as she could be trying to get away, from whatever it was that was chasing her, whatever had gotten her beloved dog Ares. Suddenly a cracking sound could be heard from under her. The woman’s heel broke down under the woman when she made one wrong step.
The fall wouldn’t have been as bad but it was where she landed that was the worst part, she had landed on her knee, and with her full body force, going on it she felt a searing pain, rushing right though her she didn’t know if she shattered it or not, but she couldn’t stand up that was for sure so she did the only thing she could do and that was crawl.
Moving crawling as far as she was able to, even as she did the pain rushed over her, if it wasn’t for the adrenaline running in her veins at the moment, and the very will to live, she would have just stayed in place, she didn’t know she was even bleeding, but whatever it was that was after her, knew the very smell of her blood was enticing to it, as it managed to move onward to her, and right then she turned around wanting to get one last look at the thing.
All she could see was eyes… Cold black eyes, they seemed rather soulless, she knew right then, she was looking right into the very eyes of death.
Spike would than wake up in a cold sweat his heart beating fast all the while, His whole body was drenched in perspiration. He didn’t know what he had just seen, but the only thing he even knew was this dream was different from the rest of them, this one was dark. He moved his hand away wiping the sweat from his brow, looking ahead of him realizing that he was back in his room where he was safe. That was for the least he hoped he was safe from whatever it was that had been in his nightmare- That strange vision.
He then laid back down laying on his side just wanting to get back to sleep, he didn’t care what time it was, that was when he got the sight of hair, blond, flowing hair that covered the pillow next to him.
Spike was rather shock seeing the hair, trying to remember what happened last night, he kept his mouth shut not wanting to disturb the person sleeping, by him. Spike looked over to the side, seeing a woman laying by his side her head pushed in the pillow, remaining silent for the moment trying not to disturb and the woman from her slumber. It wouldn’t take long for Spike to remember in truth, but he was still shocked realizing the woman who laid by him, was in fact Applejack remained in pure slumber resting dreaming whatever dreams she might’ve had. Then the events of last night returned to him, almost all at once, some of it was fuzzy but the clearest thing he could remember from it was her, and that man in black.
He didn’t move not even making attempt, just for the time, he simply looked over at Applejack admiring her, as she slumbered without a care, He stayed quiet, wondering how much luck he could have had. Then she started to turn over, her eyes opening slowly, as she gave the man a soft look. Applejack took a second or two as Looked at Spike giving a soft smile before saying drowsy;
“Wow last night must’ve been a hell of a night.”
She then let off a giggle. She Shuffled close to him, looking right at him, she looked at Spike with passion staring deep into his eyes. Spike laughed also knowing last night had been interesting especially, with those three men who had attacked him, but there was more, wasn’t there something he didn’t noticed. Right then he saw Applejack’s hand moving over caressing his chin which was spotting a simply five o’clock shadow.
The way they looked at each other it could have lasted for eternity, but Spike’s back had stiffened something that happened when he was in bed, he tried ignoring it, their breathing was soft. As her cool breath hit him, Spike felt Goosebumps running down his arms but he wondered why.
Applejack then said to him,
“So I wonder did you enjoy that date.”
Her eyes would soon change not changed involving emotional like most people would’ve Her eyes changed they didn’t show emotion as people would have suspected they would they just changed to a light shade of blue.
“Well I know I would never forget it.” Spike chuckled, after telling her, knowing it was the truth and he couldn’t lie to her about anything,
“Beside it’s not every day I wake up with a very beautiful woman in my bed.”
She seemed to blush at that comment, but It only did was show off her strange and mysterious eyes. Spike then took a chance, as he wrapped his long arms around her pulling her close she only let a smirk, but that was a moment, as she then said,
“As much as I could love to be here Spike I need to go off I have a class to go.” Spike rolled his eyes chuckling,
“Wouldn’t you rather be here instead?’
Applejack simply laughed at Spike words giving a simple smirk;
“As much as I’m tempted by that I really, need to go, don’t want to fail. Beside I can always come back after.”
She smiled at Spike before getting out of the bed. Revealing that she was still wearing the clothes from last night. She’d worn the night before. Spike watched Applejack walking to the restroom seeing her hips swaying, as he couldn’t help but think that her body was blessed by the angels themselves. The blanket moved off him and he notice he had a lack of cloths as opposed to her, making him wonder. He shook his head knowing that was impossible. The first thing she did was head to the restroom, there was a shower, in its crudely made, but it worked pretty well. A second later, the sound of the shower had started, and she began giving a humming sound something he had heard on a regular during the week. This went on for about a half hour, and she simply walked out.
She held a towel over, her as she went on asking him if he had a spare set of cloths he didn’t mind lending her. Which he didn’t mind passing them to her. Right as she was handed the cloths, she began to change, Spike wanting to be a gentle man turned around from her not watching, but he couldn’t help but turn his head, but she caught him right then, calling him a little perky, which all he could say was,
“Yeah and?” having a soft chuckle.
Then with a moment in silence as the chuckle vanished Spike soon heard, a knocking on the door, it seemed rather load, who could it have been Spike wondered?
He wanted to ignore it right then, trying to keep his time, with the blond to himself, whoever it was could wait, right… But that seemed to come to no end from how it seemed because even as they remained quiet, the knocking kept going, before Spike finally got tired of it, and headed right to the door, opening it. Soon he was eye to eye with Twilight, and she didn’t look to happy at him. Spike couldn’t help but feel annoyed here he was standing shirtless, at the moment standing in front of someone who didn’t need to be here but he kept his mouth shut watching her, and said; Yes, Twilight?
Twilight watched him rather focused, not saying much, but the way it seemed she was looking in his room, before she responded; “Yeah I was wondering if you saw Applejack or not she hadn’t come home last night, and I was getting worried.”
She looked hesitated from what Spike could tell, looking at her but it might have been hard to tell really, that was how she was sort of reminded him of a Chihuahua, really from how its head moved left and right shaking
“... Um Do you want to come inside?”
Without an answer or, happened to be the question she wasn’t to hear she moved him aside. and went right in still seeming, to be looking around, that’s when she seemed to finally notice Applejack, right there standing with one of Spike favorite shirt’s around her body, almost swallowing her whole. Twilight looked rather shocked seeing her like that before returning her sight back to Spike.
“I knew she was here Spike; I knew right as I smelled the perfume right on your cheek. You jerk!”
She sounded irritated at him, as she moved even more into ‘His’ room. He wanted to say something but at the moment he couldn’t come with a snappy comeback not right then at the least.
“Is there a problem Twilight? With me being here with Spike?” Applejacks eyes squinted some looking at the Applejack haired woman. Like she was looking into her very Soul somehow it reminded him of something he just couldn’t figure it out, not right then at the least.
Spike began to watch closer, Twilight then started talking to Applejack,
“Where were you last night? I was worried sick when it finally reached Midnight, and why in the hell are you doing here.?!”
Twilight suddenly stopped, her mind seemed to wander off from her as she was coming up with conclusions that may or may not have been true for her but her head shot, over to Spike so fast that, most people would wonder how she didn’t get whiplash from it.
“Spike your god damn pervert.”
Spike’s head raised up looking confused after all losing interest in the conversation for a few minutes before and the next thing he realized he was being called by his ‘Sister’. Twilight looked at him, while he kept a dumbfounded look on him, (the way she looked at him, it was almost one of them if looks could kill event.
“Um how am I a per, Twilight?” He asked rather mellowed right then, Twilight was at a loss of words the way it seemed;
“Because...Because you are here and you are naturally a per that’s why! Plus, why else would she be in here in you room, this early in the morning.”
Spike rolled his eyes right then not in the mood to fight with her his head felt like it was splitting slightly, and her yelling wasn’t helping,
“Wow, you seem rather tensed for someone who got some last night am I right Spike.”
This was rather shocking as instead of it being Spike like most people would have figured it happened to be Applejack herself, she let off a rather dark grin,
“Who was he Twilight?”
Twilight never took notice what Spike was saying when she started to defend herself.
“It’s none of your business who she was we were just studying and nothing else.”
She seemed rather fast trying to defend herself right then, But Spike managed to catch on the one part about it not being a man, but a woman.
“She? Wow Twilight Never thought I’d hear you do something like that though you where just that goodie two shoes Christian girl that Night Light wanted, but underneath it looks like a wild streak in you.”
Right then Applejack looked rather annoyed, right then hearing this even though she knew she was the one who started it, as she soon said, rather firmly but holding a bit of passion, it almost seemed like she knew it would have started to become a fight if she hadn’t said anything,
“Ok you two let’s settle down and all how about we just get something to eat, Spike you can pay.” Turning her head to the man she gave him a rather seductive Blink but even if she didn’t do that Spike would have done it anyway, (“err ash” It seemed like his stomach agreed, with Applejack.)
“Besides, Spike she has the right to do what she want’s She is a grown woman after all.” Chuckled, before she turned her head back to the other woman,
“And, with you what I and Spike do is none of your concern got it.”
Twilight seemed to grunt with it as she went silent rather fast, but it didn’t matter Spike was listening to the calling his stomach as it was doing the talking, and said,
“Well let’s get going then how about it.” Giving a rather goofed up dance, Applejack just chuckled, some almost like she was thinking, ‘Boys and their stomachs.’ She soon moved over, getting her small purse that was laying on the other side of the room, before she simply looked at Spike,
“I hope you don’t mind me taking this shirt for a while it is rather comfortable to me.”
Before winking, Spike simple looked at her, keeping his cool,
“I don’t mind Rave, Not at all.”
Smirking neither of them had realizing Twilight had left the two love birds alone in an instant. Though neither of them noticed or care. Spike was remained next to the bed. when the golden haired woman walked towards him almost pull him by his shirt towards him, simply to embarrassing him her lips pressed against him. It wasn’t lustful but a fast simple peck. Though for Spike it seemed to send waves of electricity over him. Spike could have stayed like this forever if he could but they were then interrupted by the sound of screaming, a rather high pitch one close to breaking a high C note.
“Spike!”
Both of them turned their head looking right out the door. Spike turned instinctively hearing his sisters cry for help ran straight towards his desk which he proceeded pulled out what looked like four-inch switch blade he quickly unlocked, Double edge, in length with a wooden handle.
They’re Spike proceeded to run out of the room following Applejack, trying to find out who might’ve been, dumb enough to attack Twilight but Whoever it was had better have prayed to whatever god they worshiped for whatever they might’ve done to Twilight wasn’t going to get far. They weren’t able to see anything everything just seemed to look rather blurry to them. It didn’t really mattered, as their vision started to change as they watched the wall began to melt and the world around them seemed so change. Morphing and twisting until it seemed unrecognizable. He almost forgot about Twilight, but that was until he saw her, she wasn’t that far from him, but he made a dash for her, moving to her side, as she laid on the cold tiled ground. Her eyes were closed; Spike went with his gut moving his hand over checking her neck...
There was nothing for a moment Spike felt a surge of fear move over him, he didn’t know if Twilight was dead, but right then when the first beat pulsed, against his two finger the feeling of relief scurried over him. It seemed that Twilight had passed out but what was the reason for that really, the place didn’t show anything but that was because Spike never got a good look at it in truth, what he would have seen would make him question his very sanity…
His eyes never left Twilight as he moved closer to her. Twilight needed to wake her up So he’d be able to find out what had caused her to faint. So he did the only thing he could think of when he began tapping her cheek’s moving soft at first. It didn’t seem to be working. So he then decided to move his hand a little harder using at little strength as he could not wanting to hurt Twilight. Seeing if that could possibly wake the unconscious woman, as he did her cheek started to become bright red. The way she was she wasn’t going to wake up Spike felt like nothing was going again till he slapped her face once more, which he was then surprised by how her eyes opened, shooting almost daggers onto him, in anger, Spike didn’t notice it but she was making a fist. Spike knew she’d be angry towards him by what he did but Spike never imagined that she’d actually go as far as punch him right than.
Though in truth, Spike might have deserved it and he knew that but he still couldn't help but say to the young woman.
“Oh come on Twilight! I was trying to help you”
Spike eyes locked on the Applejack haired woman even then as she seemed to shoot off the ground like a rocket looking around she looked around seeing nerves but casually, stating;
“Next time don’t hit so hard.” Twilight would simply chuckle. Applejack moved looking over at Applejack who she herself couldn’t help but laugh at how Spike was knocked back by a woman smaller than him.
“Ok y’all laughing aside, where the heck are we.”
Spike asked, right then the only thing they could tell whatever way they had actually gotten here was gone. They were almost in an empty room, it was fairly large, but rather empty in all truth. Spike’s turned around looking observing the whole place, the best that they were even able to only able to see a door, a tall metallic one from the looks of it.
Spike started moving over to it, the others watched for the moment as he then looked back simply saying.
“Let’s head this way.” Pointing over to the very door that stood ahead of the,
“How come Spike?” Twilight asked, she didn’t seem sassy really, but rather puzzled, before moving on following him, he didn’t say anything right then. All Spike would do was walk, his focus seemed to be on that door, and it reminded him of something long since forgotten. When he moved at the door, it seemed to side to the side, moving fast, from how Spike could have figured, he didn’t even need to push it. So he simply walked through it with Applejack, and Twilight following him,
“Um Spike where are we heading to be exact?” Applejack asked as they headed through the door, Spike only said,
“North I’m guessing.”
It wasn’t much of an answer; it was the best he could come up with as the three continued on that was until they heard a loud whooshing sound raining fast before them as a set of large doors began opening before the. Then as they entered the new room, it was far larger than the last one it was a grand room, filled to the brink, with object’s rather large stuff that couldn’t have been made by no man. At least that was from what Spike could have guessed, at the least Most of them looked like monitor’s, glowing with images, showing rather odd symbols on them none that could have been written by the hand of man, at least living as far as any of them could tell.
But that was not the oddest of it all-Not even close to it. Spike was looking up as he notices there was a second floor, and there he was able to see it, creatures, more like monsters at the most, scattered over in front of monitors looking at them examining each of them different from the other, it scared even Spike. one of them the fist he saw, it seemed to be the most human out of them the only difference was when he looked at it seeing the large lizard tail. It moved around her almost like a third hand.
Another, was a bat like creature, it stood tall as it looked rather tired but worked none the less. He wondered if Twilight had saw something like this it might have explained a bit.
“What the?!”
He almost screamed it out loud, but even as he opened his mouth nothing seemed to come out, something had stopped him but it wasn’t him, this even caused him to drop the very knife he had held firmly, even as it fell to the ground it echoed, through the room but no one even noticed it. Spike didn’t know if they were either demon of monster, but they didn’t bother noticing Spike, or the other he felt relief even then.
“Are you two seeing what I think I’m seeing?”
He asked them concerned thinking he might have just lost his mind but they both spoke rather at the same time,
“Yes I am.” This didn’t settle him, it only brought him even more fear.
Then on the far side of this rather large room, a door, much like the one they had come in from made the same swooshing sound, making all three of them jump. Looking over, to where the sound came from Spike was watching a man heading towards them, his eyes they seemed rather cold, they felt like eyes when they looked at him, he was wearing a large jumpsuit, with the bland color of grey moving over it.
He seemed to have the looks of a general, at the most, mainly from the constant serious look, almost like he was on guard for something to happen, from what happened next, it was clear that Spike and them saw him first and not the other way around, as he got closer he soon got a good notice, and he looked like he was about an inch from blowing a fuse. His face was as Red as a tomato in under a second.
“Who the Hell are you, and what are you doing here?”
Twilight looked at the man for a moment, as she tried to remain calm for the moment, not saying much but;
“Don’t know sir, where are we, and also watch your mouth you’re in front of a lady.”
She smirked some but it didn’t seem to help smirking some, looking up at him, in a second thought it looked like he was about to blow a fuse, from pure anger but he let out a small smirk, who wouldn’t when talking to a woman as beautiful as Twilight, herself, and she knew that he was almost putty in her hand.
But sadly that had only lasted a minute or so, before he realized something and started to speak onto her in a rather harsh term. His eyes seemed to then fill with a kind of lust something that no woman should ever have to see, in her life, as he moved over, talking, his anger rising, and then he spoke,
"It seems like you're not in any conditions to by telling me what I can, and cannot say woman."
He moved closer, grabbing ahold of her hand, Spike eyes flared at the sight how dare he lay a hand on the woman he even considered a sister, no matter what, this was something Spike was going to take lying down, as he was getting ready to move up to help the woman, a hand stopped, him and it was none other than Applejack who had done that.
"What the?" He looked at her right then confused.
"Like I said Spike she is a big girl, she’s gotta fight her own battles." She was so calm it seemed rather creepy, for him. He didn't move not wanting to cause trouble he figure, and simply watched Twilight, as she was confronting the much larger man.
"Well big guy I don't happen to like your attitude."
Twilight spoke up right then a brave look appearing on her face, as she looked the man in the grey jump suit dead in the eye. The guy looked at her, his eyes flaring with hate, it seemed he wasn't the type of man, to let a woman walk over, him he guessed. It seemed like he was moving his hand back to slap, her but not before Twilight moved, He might have been larger but Twilight on the other hand was faster.
Her leg moved in the air, going toward him, he watched it, and the way it ended he over estimated, where it was going to head for, as Twilight had manage to moved hitting him dead center into the family jewels.
Now Spike knew that this man deserved what he got but he couldn't help in the slightest but finch. Having some simpathy for the man as he watched him begin falling down to his neck. Spike was almost feeling the mans pain himself. As he reached down between his own legs as he hissed in pain seeing the man doing the same, holding his scrotum in pain. Just specking must’ve hurt, though He managed to speck,
"You Bitch!"
Which wasn't the right move to say right there as soon as he opened his eyes he was within sight of Twilightes, foot as it quickly struck him in the center of his face causing him to fly back landing on his back, and with that final move, he was out cold.
"Didn't yah momma ever tell you never to cuss in front of a woman Hun, I bet it just breaks her poor heart."
With that she moved from the man, brushing her lower wear from, any dust she might have gotten, before returning with the two. Spike though he was surprised, and knew he had to remind himself not to anger the woman anytime, soon not after seeing her just do that to a guy twice her size, in truth. They watched the man standing right there, Spike didn't know if he was breathing at all. Or if Twilight actually killed him...
Watching the man who laid down before them still cowering in pain at the moment, had began rising up slowly that was when they heard behind them the door beginning to open once more, and Spike was even wondering if it would come to turning into a fight at this time, as they turned back towards the door, which much to their surprise really, they looked seeing another man standing there in front of them. He was looking at them, his eyes darting from each one, he was a short man, only a couple of inches shorter then Twilight, who stood about 5'4 herself, with jet black hair, that seemed to have a Quibged style for him. He had no facial hair covering his body that could be notice from the moment, the dark overcoat covered a lot, from sight, but Even then looking at his eyes. They were even more shocked they seemed the only part of him that wasn't even human.
"Roland... Get up this instant." Then almost on cue the much taller man, Who managed to get up from the ground than his right hand over his more private of area, looked as though he was having a small bit of trouble taking deep breath but it seemed more out of fear than anything as he looked over towards the smaller man, and nodded, soon responding;
"Y-Yes. Mr. Quibble..."
It seemed the density, of the room, became silent, and soon the man by the name by the name Quibble, looked at him showing no form of expression, and said to him,
"There seems to be a mess in sector seven would you mind going in there and cleaning it up."
Roland, looked nerves like something about this sector seven was much more, horrible than it actually sounded to them. He soon started moving running the opposite way, that he had come into that room, and he didn't turn back running off to only god knows where.
Quibble turned over looking at them, his expression never changing, but he calmly said,
"I’m sorry about Roland rudeness. He’ll be dealt with later."
Spike felt nervous not knowing him, but even the sight of seeing him knew that the man standing right before him was someone you didn't want to mess with. He might have been small, but there was something odd, with him, even familiar, But Spike couldn't tell what it, was soon Quibble moved on leaving, them as he moved back to the very same door he walked in from, before the door was getting ready, to close, he turned his head back,
"Come on we don't have all day Hurry up."
He sounded more demanding than before, they soon ran after him, not wanting to lose the man, name Quibble. It took them all a moment, to see the speed, Quibble was moving as the way it looked like he was already across the hall, they were lucky really to even get over to him right them, but they had, Spike looked at him, he was trying to remember hard; ‘Who is this guy?’
In a moment, Spike was seeing images they came back to him they were memories, but they were of the other night, mainly the sight of the man in the shadow the one who helped, him, got him out of that trouble.
"You! You're that guy from last night the one in the shadows!" He nearly screamed out his answer.
Quibble looked back at him for a moment, only to stare at him with that expressionless face, and mumble:
"Yes that was me but so you know I had high hopes you would’ve done better, beside you should be thanking me, from the momentum of the bottle, and the direct angle it manages to crack your skull and a single sliver of glass managed to move right in place causing your brain to bleed. That could’ve caused you near memory loss, maybe even death."
Spike looked at him confused some, as he stared at him, blinking a couple of times, this seems to annoy Quibble, who simply said.
"I made sure you didn't need to wear diapers again. I swear you humans and soft skulls. No wonder my kind nearly took over this miserable rock."
"Ok then wise guy mind telling up where we are at?"
Spike then retorted back, as he was getting rather annoyed by how the man was talking to him, and how he had a rather big ego.
"Well Mr. Draco you are currently in the American base of S.U.P."
Spike was beginning to look confused hearing that he had never heard anything about an agency known as S.U.P, right then as he turned over and simply, as he then started to ask,
“So... what the hell is S.U.P, and didn’t you say something, about this being the American base? Do you mean there’s more of them around.”
Quibble simply seemed to ignore him right then like he didn’t even exist, But Spike was bound and determined to find out, and he had a feeling he would get them very, very soon. Spike was beginning to look confused hearing that he had never heard anything about an agency known as S.U.P, right then as he turned over and simply. As they moved down the long hall, the sign of those creatures from before, seemed to be from sight, and out of their mind’s the way it seemed like the very echoing of each of their footsteps seemed to be the only things that could be heard at the time.
Spike moved his head checking on the other, Applejack seemed to remain calm and relax, which was odd to him, but he said nothing, at all for the moment. But Twilight just looking at her he could tell she was getting, rather nerve reckoned, and her O.C.D was kicking in. Spike was really hoping they would get out of here and get some answer before, Twilight Simply opened her mouth right than trying to find the right words to respond towards Quibble but unable to find the right words, closed her mouth, and continued walking behind Quibble. Suddenly he heard a lack of footsteps, this seemed to make Applejack and Quibble look back, finding out who it was then they all looked seeing Twilight standing there and she was looking rather pissed. Too late Spike figured, Twilight slammed her foot down, as she simply looking at them and simply responded,
“You better tell us where we’re doing here or else I’m not moving from this very spot,”
Spike couldn’t help but move his hand over his head making a small slapping sound knowing that what Twilight, had done, was a bit childish, but he knew she wasn’t going to change her mind rather easy,
He took time watching Quibble for a moment, he stood there looking at Twilight with them piercing Orange eyes, his temper seeming to rise for a moment, but he did something Spike wouldn’t figure he simply rolled his eyes. At the woman,
“Stupid, stupid girl.”
He responded softly, not taking a moment this only manage to bring more anger into Twilight right then, as she looked over at him, but she stood her ground staying there not even moving an inch, that was until, the Quibble haired man, moved his hand up and snapped his finger. The very earth under Twilight, began to shake slowly, but it surely moved, at the moment, Twilight stumbled some trying to stay in place but that was until, she slowly began raising in the air. Looking over at the shorter man, who was still walking. Even as he walked Twilight was followed him, without her even taking a single step.
“Oh, Miss. Twilightica Grace Colt, You’ll get your answer in due time, but you simply need to come with me, and that can be the easy way, or the very hard, way.”
He then let off a rather dark smile looking over at Her, Twilight couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming rush of Fear surge through her. No one had ever truly called her by her full name in her life well except her parents, when she did something truly stupid but that was when she was a lot little, but this man had known how he did. Twilight took a moment, as she said softly;
“I think I will take the easy way then.”
Quibble still held that creepy smile continuingly, Before giving soft nod, His head turning around when he soon snapped his finger one last time, then the peace of earth moved, down in a sudden rush. As she felt herself on the safety of the earth.
Spike watched it right then as Applejack soon started walking with a rather faster motion toward Quibble, there was something about It Spike didn’t like about him, he knew too much, and all His instincts were telling her him to just try and get away from him, as fast as he could at the moment. Applejack stayed close to him from how it seemed, she was the most nerves at the moment watching the man, Spike didn’t mind at all, from it, as he was close to her.
None of them even bothered asking the man about anything soon after that.
“Where are we going and how will it explain about what the hell this S.U.P is?”
Spike could really only ask himself that, as they still kept moving forward, so much was racing through his mind would they get the answer they needed or was where they were going, leading them to their ultimate death. They moved down each corridor, of this large building till they finally made it to the end of it then they saw a large oak door, that seemed to have been a true piece of art itself. Spike himself knew the answer he and the other were wanting to know, would be right behind this door. The only thing he wondered the most was would he get them answered…
