A Truth Revealed, A Smiling Endby The Sleepless BeholderChaptersA Message of AcceptanceThe Last Family PhotoOne Last ShowThe Great and Powerful EndingRock-hard TruthA Message of AcceptanceA huge rumbling traveled through Equestria, scaring every creature at the apparent looming threat of a new form of villain. Celestia looked at the sky from one of the balconies of Canterlot castle, and witnessed as a huge black crack appeared, like if reality itself was being damaged. The elements of harmony ran towards her, panic in all their faces, except for Pinkie. “Where’s Twilight? She maybe knows what’s happening,” asked Applejack, and Celestia could only give her a concerned look. “I don’t know, she and Luna have disappeared.” “Not yet.” Everypony watched as Twilight and Luna, no, Nightmare Moon, walked towards them. “Luna? What happened?” Asked Celestia, her heart confused and sad to see her sister in that state once again. “Why do you look so old Twilight?” Asked Rainbow, confused as to what to do. “I know it’s confusing, but we prepared an explanation. We just need to broadcast it.” Nightmare Moon lighted her horn, and a magical screen appeared in front of them. All around the world, more magical screens appeared in front of all the creatures of Equestria, showing the faces of the two princesses, whose new look made them feel like something very wrong was happening. “Attention, all creatures of Equestria and beyond!” Twilight called out, her voice reaching every part of the world. “I know you are scared and confused, and yes, this is indeed the end of all of us.” Celestia and Twilight’s friends looked in shock at the statement, and the world was about to enter a massive panic, but Twilight continued speaking. “There’s no use in fighting it or enter a panic, but we want to give you the chance to say your goodbyes and leave this world in peace. And for that, you need to know the truth.” Twilight and Nightmare Moon lighted their horns, and a sphere of pure white magic formed over their heads. The sphere raised up into the sky, and started to divide itself into dozens, then hundreds, then thousands, then millions, then billions of spheres that flew away to all the corners of the world, still dividing themselves while they traveled, one even passing through the mirror portal. And as the spheres reached the creatures of the world, each one of them fell on their heads, entering their minds and deliver the message Twilight and Nightmare Moon had prepared. It took years to prepare the right words, to select the thousands of memories to reveal to them, to give them the comfort that even if this was the end, they would leave this world having lived more lives than any creature ever in Equestria. “We have removed the restrictions of the dream so you may move freely over the world and connect to your loved ones. I hope this is enough to make your last moments as happy as I can.” After the deed was done, Twilight’s friends approached them. “I can’t believe it,” whispered Applejack, still shocked by the revelation. “I think we all saw it darling. And I don’t think Twilight would lie to us with something like this.” “You really gave everypony a happy ending? There must be millions all over the world!” exclaimed Rainbow Dash extending her arms. “If there was someone that could do it, it would be Twilight,” said Fluttershy with a smile. “I’m sorry I couldn’t save you at the end. This was the best I could do.” Twilight looked at the ground with a sad expression, but Pinkie lifted her head while giving her a big smile. “Don’t gloom Twilight, what you did was the most beautiful and selfless thing anypony could ever do. You didn’t only give us happiness; you gave us a reason to smile at the end. Dream or not, your actions made the lives of millions matter, because they were so precious that a simple pony confronted the cold world of reality for decades just to put a smile on their faces. That’s something that even I couldn’t do.” Pinkie hugged Twilight, making the unicorn’s eyes fill with tears. “She’s right. This may be the end, but it’s the end of something beautiful that you made with your own hoofs. And we are thankful for it.” Applejack joined the hug. Rainbow flew over them, doing the same as Applejack. “You are officially the most awesome pony ever! Doomed world or not, I’m very happy to be your friend.” Rarity also joined the hug. “Even before knowing the truth, you gave us so much to be grateful for meeting you. This just cemented that notion and I’m happy to know it, so I can thank you the best I can.” Fluttershy was the last. “You carried the weight of the world on your shoulders, a did so just to make people enjoy life to the fullest extent before an inevitable end. The way I see it, you saved us. Not just your friends, all of Equestria.” Tears ran down Twilight’s eyes, and she embraced her friends as much as she could. “Thank you. You are the best friends anypony could have. I’m so happy to have met you that day. And being able to see you one last time.” Slowly, Twilights body started to fade away, until she finally disappeared. Celestia walked towards Nightmare Moon, who had been seeing the scene with a sad smile. The dark alicorn looked at her sister but couldn’t make eye contact. “I’m beyond sorry I destroyed your world, sister. I can never forgive myself for it.” Celestia moved her head so her eyes met hers. “But I can forgive you.” Nightmare Moon looked at her sister in disbelief. “But I killed you, the real you. I killed your little ponies. I killed the world that we protected for centuries.” “And you regretted it ever since, and even tried to save everypony and gave them something to live for. For that, at least I, can offer you my forgiveness.” Nightmare Moon shook her head while tears ran down her face. “You can’t forgive me; you are just my memory of the real Celestia.” “That makes me the only person that can. You made me from your memories of the real me. All our past together, and all that I’ve learned and experienced over the years have made me who I am. I’m probably more Celestia than the real one. And after seeing you tear yourself apart trying to fix your mistake, and then find a way with Twilight to make the world a better place, I can forgive you. You have suffered enough, now I want you to rest.” Celestia hugged her sister, and slowly, Nightmare hugged her back. “I hope you find a way to forgive yourself someday.” “I’ve missed you so much sister.” Were the last words of Nightmare Moon as she also faded away. Celestia turned away from the ponies, not wanting them to see her tears. “Go to your families my little ponies. And know that I’m proud of every one of you.” She then walked away, and the rest of the elements moved through the vail of the dream to reach their homes. The Last Family PhotoApplejack appeared in the farm, a little confused at the fact that she traveled such a long distance with just a single step. She was immediately approached by Applebloom, who jumped to give her a hug. Big Mac and Sugar Belle approached with a little violet colt following behind. “Hey, aren’t you a little early in life?” she jokingly asked while ruffling his mane. “They said that the dream has no restrictions anymore, so we pulled him here.” “Eeyup.” Granny Smith appeared behind Applejack. “I’m quite glad it doesn’t have them, it’s been a long time since I felt this young,” she said while stretching her body, making everypony laugh. AppleBloom let go of Applejack before speaking; “I’m glad we can spend the end in family.” Granny Smith laughed. “Wait until we are all here to say that.” Little by little, more and more ponies started to appear around them, until the whole Apple family was gathered outside of the barn, talking to each other and giving their goodbyes. Applejack wiped a tear from her eye and called out to them; “How about we have one last family picture?” The Apples agreed and quickly started to gather in front of a camera that somepony made appear. “Can a friend also join?” sounded a voice behind Applejack, and when the farm pony turned around, she found Coloratura nervously looking at her. “Of course, Rara. You are like family to me.” Both friends hugged each other and took their place for the picture, smiling along the rest of the Apple family. A couple seconds later, the flash of the camera activated, and the photo was ejected from it, showing an empty barn. One Last ShowRainbow Dash tried to dream-walk her way to her parents but ended up butting heads with somepony else halfway, falling into an open field. “Auch, I wasn’t expecting traffic in the dream.” Rainbow Dash stood up, and found her parents rubbing their heads from the collision. “I guess we all think alike,” she said with a smile, hugging them both, but then she noticed a third pony. “Scootaloo? What are you doing here?” The little filly looked at her with a worried expresion. “Sorry, I just. When I got Twilight’s message, I didn’t really know what to do, so I tried to come to you. This dream-walking is weird.” Rainbow looked at Scootaloo, and she could see that she was a little scared. She had thought that Twilight and Nightmare had talked everpony to accept the news. ‘I suppose not everypony have the same reaction to this,’ she thought to herself. “Don’t worry, I’m here for you.” Rainbow offered a hug, which Scootaloo immediately accepted. Rainbow’s parents joined the hug, calming the fears in the little filly. “We want you to know that we are very proud of both of you,” said Hothoof, looking at Rainbow and Scootaloo. “You both have turned into incredible mares, and we are happy to be able to cheer you on in all of your achievements,” Added Windy. Rainbow Dash smiled, but then looked at the skies, seeing the huge cracks that covered the skies. They were growing quite quickly, showing a dense darkness beyond the dream. “Hey, you know what? Since there are no rules now, how about I show you just how fast I can really go without restrictions?” “Oh, that’s a wonderful idea.” “Yeah, show us how awesome you can be!” screamed Scootaloo with stars in her eyes. Rainbow extended her wings and took off, quickly noticing how gravity and wind resistance weren’t affecting her. She started to accelerate, doing various tricks and maneuvers to give a good show to her loved ones. Rainbow’s parents and Scootaloo cheered her on, seeing her moving faster and faster, until they could see her no more. “She is the most awesome pony in the world,” said Scootaloo, slowly fading away. “And a wonderful daughter.” Rainbow’s parents followed suit. The Great and Powerful EndingTrixie looked on as parent after parent appeared inside the school of friendship to care for their fillies. They were worried, trying to console some and others simply didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, Starlight appeared beside her, and she quickly went for a hug. “I can’t believe all of this is happening,” Starlight said, her legs trembling a little. “As Twilight said, it’s inevitable. But you don’t need to be scared Starlight.” “Since when were you the brave one?” Starlight asked with a little nervous smile. “Well, in some timeline I was able to become the greatest sorcerer in Equestria! Which wasn’t surprising since it’s me we are talking about.” Trixie could see Starlight rolling her eyes, but she wasn’t trembling anymore. “I don’t carry any regrets. If this is the end, I shall face it as a completed mare. And so should you.” “It’s hard to think that positively when you realize you are just a thought in somepony’s head.” Trixie could see tears coming to Starlight’s eyes. “Starlight, did you not see the same things as me?” “What?” Trixie concentrated her magic, and a little magic screen like the one Twilight used for her message appeared. Starlight saw Twilight and Nightmare Moon siting in the frozen castle of the two sisters, talking to each other. “Can we… change a pony’s dream?” “Of who exactly?” “Starlight. I want her to have a dream where she stays with Sunburst and they remain as friends.” “Twilight, I told you she’s not real.” “She is real for me! She’s my pupil. My friend. She has been it for a long time. It may have come from your head, but my friendship with her is real in my heart.” Starlight looked surprised, and Trixie put a hoof on her shoulder. “Thought or not, you left such a mark in Twilight that you were the first she wanted to make happy. You matter to her, and even more to me. You taught me so much, and we enjoyed each other’s company for many years. You are more than just a thought; you are my dearest friend.” Starlight smiled, wiping her tears and giving Trixie a big hug. “Go see Sunburst, you two need to be together at the end.” “Aren’t you coming with me?” Trixie looked at the mass of ponies that have been gathered. Scared, confused, sad. “No, The Great and Powerful Trixie shall face her end doing the what she knows best, putting an amazing show for the ponies to enjoy!” Starlight smiled and gave her one last hug before dream-walking away. A huge explosion of fireworks made an elaborate stage appear, catching the attention of all the ponies in the school. Trixie stood in the center of it, her cape flowing dramatically, and her hat covering her eyes. “I heard that you ponies are saying this is the end, but this is just the beginning!” Trixie made a dramatic pose as fireworks exploded behind her. “The beginning of the Great and Powerful Trixie’s biggest show ever!” Trixie held nothing back. She did trick after trick after trick, each more elaborate than the previous one. She even took advantage of the dream to make tricks that she never attempted before, even inventing new ones on the spot. The ponies looked at her in amazement, mesmerized by her showmareship, their worries and fears forgotten. They watched with smiles as the show went on, not noticing the ponies fading away around them. When Trixie finished her show, she took a bow, but there was no public left to applaud her. “Tough crowd,” she said with a smile as she faded away. Author's Note I hope I’m not making it look like I’m milking this story dry, but all the comments I have seen on them keeps giving me more and more ideas. You are probably wondering where the rest of the characters endings are, and the reason is that I didn't want to force any ending, so I made the ones I was inspired to do. I will leave it incomplete so I may add more if I get more inspiration (which you surely will give me) I thank you all for giving this story so much love, this community is great and I’m happy to be here and enjoy it. Have a good day! I will be watching you. Rock-hard TruthPinkie arrived at the farm just like her friends, but she wasn’t confused by it. “You are late. Everyone is already around Holder’s Boulder.” Pinkie smiled at the deadpan welcome her sister Maud gave her. “Sorry, I had to get Gummy from the shop,” explained Pinkie, showing the toothless alligator currently biting her mane. While the sisters walked towards their family, Maud asked. “So you knew of all of this?” Pinkie’s hair deflated a little. “Yeah. I wish I could have helped Twilight with all of this, instead of-” “Making every creature you have ever met happy? Helping your friends smile at the face of danger? Being the best sister?” Pinkie looked at Maud with surprise. “You did all that before Twilight or Nightmare Moon started to alter the dream, and you didn’t have the almighty power of an alicorn or the smart of the most powerful bookworm in existence to do it.” Maud stopped walking and put her hoof on Pinkie’s chest. “In the face of a doomed world, you stood your ground and followed your heart to make every creature feel special and loved. You brought happiness to the world in the best way you could, never forget that.” Pinkies hair puffed up again, and she gave Maud the biggest hug she could. Once they arrived at the boulder, Li’l Cheese ran at them, followed by Cheese Sandwich. “I can’t believe you chose me for a family,” Cheese said while Pinkie hugged her colt. “I had very good reasons.” With all the family gathered, they all said their goodbyes, and Pinkie took Gummy from her mane. “You know Gummy, I always wondered,” said Pinkie as her family faded away. “Did you also know about all this?” The little alligator licked his eye with his tongue. “I knew it.” And they both faded away.
