The Story of Equestriaby Deathbite42ChaptersOriginEvolutionsIce WarOriginIt is questionable just where in the universe our world is. Some say it is in another universe, Earth's past or future, or a Second World beyond the stars. To see, we will first have to know how to get there. In billions of years time, the sun's hydrogen will run out, and it will be forced to fuse helium. This itself will result in carbon, which this star is too small to fuse further, resulting in cooling, turning it into a burnt cinder. But some stars will keep swelling, until the fusion of iron, making layers like an onion. But iron can't be fused, because that costs energy instead of releasing it. Such a star's iron will suddenly reverse position to the lighter elements, and be expelled like a nuclear blast. Gravity is the result of objects pushing down space-time around them, similar to a quarter in the middle of a drum with a penny on the sides. But that itself is the result of gravity, so what pushes down space-time? The answer: gravitons. These particles function like the gravity that pulled down the drum. So a supernova will suddenly collapse a great deal of space-time, forming what we call a black hole. If you get too close, you will not escape. At the center, time stops and the laws of phsics break down. Then consider a trampoline. You pus down the trampoline, but it will go back up, pushing YOU up, and forms what we perceive as being "shot" into the sky. The same is true of space-time, which will form something like a force-field, known as a white hole. Since space-time itself is curved, a black hole can connect to a white hole, forming a wormhole. This will be an instant teleporting device, sending an object at one point to another. We know of two habitable planets in the galaxy: Earth and Gliese 581 d. The latter is where I am. A wormhole can drift like a wave, one point going to earth, and another to Gliese. I believe one continent on your planet, North America, was missing a creature called a "horse" until settlers from another of your continents, Europe, brought it with them, even though they crossed a landform called The Bering Strait which linked this North America, to a third continent, Asia, during the Ice Age. That's us. But ponies are clearly not horses. What happened? Find out in the next episode. EvolutionsIt is questionable just how we became what we are. To know, we will first have to show how we got there. Early in the history of YOUR planet, you had no oxygen in your air. Instead, there were toxic gasses. Lightning, comets, and asteroids fell like shots from a starship. There were no liquid oceans; rather, lava composed the seas. This world sounds like hell, but it was soon going to get much worse. Jupiter was orbiting twice for every orbit of Saturn. This gravitational disparity pushed the outer planets further away. Beyond the orbit of Pluto there is a ring of long-period comets called the Kuiper Belt. And beyond that is an Oort Cloud, with more. In a way similar to a bathtub's water rising when you get in, the comets were flung by the incoming Uranus and Neptune toward the Inner Solar System. This was called The Great Bombardment. It caused the earlier mentioned comets and asteroids. The "caught" planets either were destroyed by this "Hellrain" or absorbed it and grew. And when they became larger they began taking out each other. The Sun's Stellar Cloud originally produced twenty planets. However, the Great Bombardment decimated them. However, one that is no longer in the sky remained: Thea. And it was on a path to Earth. It slammed into the planet with a force above that of nuclear weapons. It was much smaller than Earth, and was thus destroyed by the impact. Part of it became the Moon. Meanwhile, comets and asteroids brought water to this world. It eventually accumulated into seas. The moon gave it tides, washing vital elements into the ocean. Lightning struck at one of these nutrients, upgrading it like a superhero comic, into RNA. this can code for life, and replicated faster than it was being destroyed. It formed a nucleus, which in turn created a cell membrane to protect itself. But RNA is just one strand. If it makes a mistake, it cannot be corrected. And some mistakes can be fatal. So it developed into DNA. However, it still developped mistakes. But natural selection did not spread the bad ones...and favored the good. This is called evolution. The horses of Gliese 581 d evolved sentience, suction pads on their hooves, and in some cases, wings and horns. But this eventually led to a problem. What was it? Find out in the next episode. Ice WarIt is questionable how pegasi and unicorns came to be. It all goes down to a genetic mutation. Deep in the nucleus of a cell, there is a chemical known as "Hox gene". It gives all tetrapods four limbs. Sometimes these are all legs, sometimes the front two are arms, sometimes the fronts are wings, sometimes they're detached, some times the BACK ones are detached, and sometimes both. But never, ever, has there ever been a six-limbed creature, until the pegasus. This gene changed, producing wings. Another created the unicorn's horn. Realizing this mutation, the unicorns attacked, trying to use this to their advantage. But the horns were too brittle and fell through their heads in combat, killing them instantly. Then they realized the magical capabilities. They soon stopped fighting and used this ability to build a grand civilization. Meanwhile, the pegasi began flying around. When one crashed into a cloud by mistake, it was discovered they could manipulate weather. They soon took up the role of gods and maintained the skies like a farm. And speaking of farms, unicorns and pegasi soon lost the ability to harvest food. Realizing this, the Earth ponies began to exterminate them. But a baby pegasus named Hurricane was put into a basket and washed away in a river. When she grew up, Hurricane returned and brought the pegasi away into a new realm. The unicorns soon followed suit. They now hated one another and killed on sight. Some pegasi resisted fighting. They were banished to the wastelands and developed a diet of pony brain juices, specifically those associated with bad emotions and used them to lower the temperatures. They became the windigoes. Meanwhile, the three types fought a war for control. The windigoes feasted and created an ice age, destroying the land. The ponies left to the another which we now call Equestria. It was much better than the ruin behind them, so again they fought. They were forced to take shelter in a cave, together. The opening froze, trapping them. They soon started to die. Realizing what was happening, Clover, ruler of the unicorns, stopped at once. Deprived of food, the windigoes returned and evolved. They stopped feeding on brain juices and lost the ability to freeze, but gained shape-shifting powers. They became the changelings. The ponies emerged into the new land. and that is how Equestria...was made. Hey! That's what I said! But it wasn't true when you said it. And you said it in another episiode. :)
