//-------------------------------------------------------// The Darker Side -by cooliofir135- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie Pie. //-------------------------------------------------------// Pinkie Pie. We all have a darker side, the kind we don't show to anybody, even the most friendliest of people have it... Pinkie looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. Her mane was curled and bouncy. The reflection showed the same Pinkie, only with straight hair. "Pinkamina, why am I out here?" The pink mare asked the reflection. "I don't know Pinky, I personally thought that you wouldn't come out again." The depressed reflection sadly. "Why do I feel so... empty?" The bouncy mare looked directly at her reflection waiting for an answer. "I feel like that every day," The reflections face fell quite quickly as she began to explain to her true self, "You see, I can only feel happy when I see other people happy, but only for a short amount of time. I actually don't feel anything, I feel nothing, hollow, empty, drained. The only time I can feel anything is under two circumstances, one is to see people happy, and the other, is physical pain." The Pink mare's reflection had a look of apathy on it. "So, you can either make others happy, or, harm yourself?" Pinky was shocked at this dark revalation. "Pinkamina, that's horrible." "I know, but I have to do it, I have to, whenever my friends are sad and even I can't cheer them up I always take a blade to my leg. It's the only thing I can feel." Pinkamina said, looking at the dresser, where a blade was. It had slight dried blood on it. All of a sudden there was nothing other than the knife and Pinkie. Pinkie slowly walked up to the knife, and began falling. "Ouch." Pinkie said rubbing her head, she had fallen out of her bed. She looked at the knife on her dresser, and debated. Grabbing it she put the hoof strap on and stared at her arm. She slowly brought the knife forward towards her left forleg. The sharp blade touched the fur, pressing harder she got it to dig into her skin slightly. She slowly pulled it across her flesh, the serraded edge ripping her skin open with ease, the blood slowly came up, and she felt the pain. She felt the marvellous pain, the feelings and emotions of anger, worry, and mostly pure bliss filled her mind, and she loved it, because she could, even if for the shortest possible time, feel something, something other than the emptiness inside of herself, the dark pit that had dug itself into her soul, yes, as the blood trickled down her leg, she sighed softly and smiled, it felt good to her, she could feel it. She could feel it. She could feel something. Her mind started to blank out slightly as she felt emotions welling inside of her, basic thoughts repeated in her mind, but only one made itself known the loudest. She could feel it. She could feel it. She could feel it. She could feel it. She could feel it. She could feel it. Emotions began to fade away from her mind once again, ever so slowly, she had a genuine smile, one that did not hide anything from anybody, a true smile, a happy one, that faded with the emotions. She could feel it She could feel it She could feel it She could feel it She could feel it She could feel it She could feel it She could feel it She could feel it The feeling was gone, and she no longer smiled a real smile, instead, she got ready for her day, and put on her mask that said I'm happy, and everything in this world is perfect. But she really felt nothing, nothing but the bitter emptiness that engulfs her, the very aura around was pouring off false happiness, but she didn't complain, because if she did it would make some people sad, and when people are sad she can't feel anything, except the bitter coldness of her own heart, the emptiness that nopony else could see, but if sompony would actually bother to check, maybe they could see the seems of her mask. But no, and as such she felt nothing. For she could not feel it... NOTE- Yah so I figured out something. When you major in psycology you learn a few dark things about people. So anyways, just decided to give these stories out, note that these are not for the faint of heart, and if you think that these will become cheerful and get the problem solved, then you my friend, are wrong. These are very real things, ponified, there is no happy ending to these stories, as a matter of fact, there is no ending to them, they are all going to be left open. Another note, some characters will be in here more than once as I see fit, one of these characters is Twilight, just a heads up. //-------------------------------------------------------// Spike //-------------------------------------------------------// Spike Everybody has a darker side, even the most helpful of people have one... Spike sat in front of a mirror his scales were straight, and he was little, for he was a baby dragon. But in his reflection sat a greedy monster sitting on top a pile of random items. "Why am I out here?" Spike asked the reflection. The reflection stared at him hungrily. "I don't know. Personally I thought you would not ever come back out." The reflections voice was deep and snarled at everything. It was slightly frightening. "Why do I feel so... greedy?" Spike asked the monster. "Let me explain. I am a dragon, it is in my nature to take, and not give, you on the other hand, are an honorary pony, raised in the way that ponies would be raised. But neither of us can feel happiness unless we have physical items, loveis great and so is friendship, but we need material items, it's just part of who we are, but to get these items we have two choices. Buy them, or take them, I care not of the way I obtain them." The creature said. Spike was shocked, that this creature would do such a thing as steal. "When I do take something I put it in the box in the closet marked Spike's do not touch." "But why?" Spike screamed at his reflection. "Because we must..." All of a sudden there was nothing other than Spike and the box of thingshe has been hording. He took a step towards it, and began to fall. "Ouch" Spike rubbed his head as he got up from the floor, he had rolled right off the little makeshift bed. He looked at Twilights bed and saw that she was still asleep. Spike looked at the closet, and back to Twilight. Making sure she was still asleep, he went over to the closet and opened the door. He looked behind a couple of dresses from Twilight's childhood, and there it was, the box. he opened it slowly and pulled out four items, a rubber ball, a hat, a stuffed cat, and a picture frame. He pulled the items close to himself, and felt content for the smallest amount of time. He put the items back and jumped in the box himself, he buried himself in the items, feeling happy and not so exposed, he had things that some people didn't, and he was content. If only for the moment. He put the item he was holding behind one of his scales in the pile, a small sock. He felt safe. A series of thoughts ranthrough his head, but only one main thought was loud enough to listen to. He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe Spike felt purely and utterly safe in his small pile of useless items. He wasn't exposed to anybody. Nobody could touch him while he was in his pile of items, of friends. They couldn't harm him in any way, and they always provided shelter. His eyes had that of pure content, it was real, not hiding what he truly felt, so exposed when out in the open, but the shelter breached slightly, letting in some light, and the feeling of safety slowly drifted away, but one thing was still for sure. He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe He felt safe The safety finally left, as the hole in his pile widened he was exposed, he could be seen, the safety of being hidden had disappeared. No more was the content feeling in his heart, it was gone, all of it was gone. Nothing felt right, being out in the open. But one thing was certain. He felt exposed... NOTE- Yah, hoarding, it's a massive problem across America, and Equestria. Not much more to say on this one, well I'm done writing for the time being, maybe I'll put more in later today, if not tomorrow. //-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbow Dash //-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbow Dash Everybody has a darker side, even the most loyal of people have one... Rainbow Dash sat in front of a mirror, her posture straight, and the look on her face determined, with slight confusion. Her reflection sat and stared at her, the reflection's face looked shattered and heart broken, but most of all, it looked afraid. "What am I doing out here?" She asked her reflection. "I don't know." Her reflection replied "Why do I feel so... Ashamed?" She asked the reflection. "That's how I feel every day." The reflection said, face cracking up into a smile that would have scared most ponies. "You see, I always felt powerless growing up, constantly getting picked on by bullies, never could amount to anything, all I could do was fly, I mean that was my cutiemark, flying. Yippie, what good will that do me in life? It was useless, and all through out my life, I admired the ones who made a living off of flying, The Wonderbolts. But the thing is, they were better than I could ever dream of, even the one that doesn't have a cutiemark in flying! So instead of feeling the humiliation and shame from people thinking my cutie mark is lame, or useless, I show off my cutie mark, to anypony, heck, I'll take the glory, even if I'm no good, even if I'm a failure. So you know what I do? I go to my bathroom, open my medicine cabnit, and use the needles in there. They make my wings strong, fast and durable." The reflection said, the smile gone. "That's horrible, and wrong! Why would you do that?" Rainbow screamed at the mirror. "Because, I'm you..." All of a sudden there was nothing, nothing other than the medicine cabnit and Rainbow Dash. She walked up to it, and began falling. "Ouch" Dash got up slowly, rubbing her head. She had fallen out of bed. She looked ahead of her to see her bathroom, and debated. She walked over to the medicine cabnet, she opened it and reached in, grabing the needle and the anabolic steriod. She inserted the needle in the liquid, drawing it out, as always she made sure there were no air bubbles, and brought her wing up towards the needle, finding that special blood vein, she inserted it in, and let the needle drain. She started to feel powerful. It felt so good, only basic thoughts were running through her mind, but only one that was loud enough for it to be heard. She felt powerful. She felt powerful. She felt powerful. She felt powerful. She felt powerful. She felt powerful. The feeling was so great, as her blood brought not only the ability of her muscles to strengthen faster, but also the adrenaline need for it, butthe good feelingalong with her smile was fading. But one thing was for sure. She felt powerful She felt powerful She felt powerful She felt powerful She felt powerful She felt powerful She felt powerful She felt powerful She felt powerful The feeling faded, and her smile was gone. She breathed out a sigh of sadness, and got to work on her daily exercise ruitine. She felt unsure of anything except one thing. She felt powerless... NOTE- Hey, story finally got through! Coolness. Oh and damn, this chapter nearly killed me, you know how hard it is for me to write a fault for the most awesome pony in Equestria? Holy crap. Well as for you fans, here you are. I will do another today. And 1-3 more tomorrow. Okay, thanks for the thumbs up guys. Related to this fic-- Yah Steroids, alot of people use them, andthey are extremly harmful. I could list the bad things about them, but instead I'll tell you this. A man's arms popped because of steroids. //-------------------------------------------------------// BONUS: GLaDOS //-------------------------------------------------------// BONUS: GLaDOS ` GLaDOS looked in a mirror, and in the mirror stood Carolyn. "Why am I out here" The robot asked the reflection. "I don't know." Replied the reflection. "Why do I feel... anything?" GLaDOS asked. "I feel things everyday. That's how humans work." Carolyn answered. GLaDOS turned off sleep mode. "Delete Carolyn." She said out loud. "Carolyn deleted." A male voice sounded out. The End. NOTE- I got bored. so yah. //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight- Requested //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight- Requested IMPORTANT NOTICE- I am embracing the dark side of writing, this chapter contains disturbing parts, do not read if you are squeemish, or easily spooked. Viewer Discretion is advised... Oh, and this was inspired by an idea that A Mess gave me, though I twisted it quite a bit. I will also be writing a one shot based more realisticly on the idea. Everybody has a dark side, even the smartest of people have one... Twilight Sparkle looked in a mirror. Her mane was straight and well kept. Her reflection stared back at her, the reflection was spattered with a strange red liquid, her hair a bit messy. "Why am I out here?" Twilight asked the reflection. "I don't know." The reflection replied. "Why do I feel so... curious?" Twilight asked. "I feel like that all the time, I need to know everything, I need to learn. I even learn about the things that ponies don't try to learn. Under my bed there is a box, it contains my studies, the ones that nopony wants to learn about. The things that would make most ponies think I'm crazy." The reflection smiled sadisticly. All of a sudden there was nothing other than the box and Twilight. She stepped towards it, and began falling... "Ouch" Twilight got up slowly, rubbing her head. She had fallen out of bed. She looked around, and saw thaat Spike's bed was empty. 'That's right, he's at Rarity's tonight.' She thought to herself. She looked at the darkness beneath her bed and debated. She pulled the box out, and stuck her horn in a hole on the top, pumping in some magic, it came unlocked and popped open, revealing a cat. At least, what's was left of the cat. It had been sliced open and skinned, all of the body parts were protected by magic so they wouldn't rot. Twilight began to pump magic into all of the vital organs, causing them to begin to work, as if the cat was still alive. But while the body was working, the soul was gone. As she did her testing, basic thoughts ran through her mind, but only one was loud enough to be heard. She felt satisfied. She felt satisfied. She felt satisfied. She felt satisfied. She felt satisfied. She felt satisfied. And slowly her sadistic smile began to fade with the satisfaction of her tests, but one thing was for sure. She felt satisfied She felt satisfied She felt satisfied She felt satisfied She felt satisfied She felt satisfied She felt satisfied She felt satisfied She felt satisfied And the satisfaction was gone, for the tests that could be done on the cat, were over. Twilight sighed as she put the box down, locked it and shoved it under the bed. Only one thing was for sure. She felt curious. NOTE- Okay, I wanted to write down some gore, and I did, the gore part was kind of my idea, but the idea of Twilight's dark side being curiosity belongs to A Mess. So yah. I guess I'm a bit of a sicko.
