From the moment we first draw breathe, to the moment we expel our last, we all have a story. Many are filled with happy moments, some are filled with both joyous and tragic moments. Then there is my life that is filled only with moments of grief and despair. From the moment I first took breathe in the year 1370, my life has been nothing but endless darkness and turmoil. I shall admit, there was a brief flicker of light amongst the overshadowing darkness. However, like many brief glimpses, it all came to an end much too soon and I was once more plunged into chaos.

My new life began the day I was called into battle against the French during what was then known as the Hundred Years War. Though I fought valiantly, I was struck down in the heat of conflict. As I laid upon the ground desperately clutching at what was left of life, I could see only one thing. A dark figure emerged from the forest and from that moment on, my immortal life began. Now here I am six hundred and fifty years later, once again I find myself drawn into deaths cold embrace. This time I am more than willing to greet him with gratitude. The next thing that occurred to me was finding myself in the middle of a dark forest in land that was not my own.
