Letters to mom

Hi mom,

He’s doing just fine. We had a serious heart to heart, and he told me things. Don’t ask, there the kinds of things I think he doesn’t want others, except me, to know. He’s my best friend and I think I really get him. I understand why he did what he did, and I think it’s sad and beautiful, you know?

Before you warn me about falling for him, I’m not. He’s totally friendzoned me, and I’ve done the same. I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t like a relationship, but, with what I know now, I don’t think there’s any place in his heart for anyone that close to him.

Anyway, the important part is that he’s getting better and there are no long term injuries.
