Letters to mom

Mom,

I did something bad. Really, really bad. You see, before Alex came here, he spent the last sixty years “jumping” from one world to the next. He has a magic scroll that lets him talk back to where he started. Anyway, when he first jumped he was still married, and I kind of told him his wife thought we should get together.

That was a lie.

What really happened was I asked her permission, and she flat out said no. It’s been so long for Alex, but only about 8 months for Ann (that’s his wife). She still loves him and has a hard time letting him go. She knows it’s been a long time for him, and that I love him with all my heart, but she loves him too.

Last night, before we left Canterlot, I let it slip. He say’s he forgives me, but what if he doesn’t? What if he’s just being nice about it. Mom, what can I do? I don’t want to lose him. What can I do?

P.S. He delayed the marriage for four months, so he can talk to Ann. I hope she says yes this time. I think I’ll say a little prayer to Luna every night until then. Every little bit helps.
