Butterscotch, the Element of Kindness and the only other boy besides Spike among the group, has always been the humble kind of guy who never lets anything get to his head. Birds are singing, the breeze is blowing beautifully and it was perfect Spring day without a cloud in sight and Celestia's sun was shining brightly. Perfect weather for Butterscotch to enjoy his food outdoors in his backyard, enjoying his long-awaited peace and quiet. He took a bite out of his sandwich and a few sips of his tea, looking up at the sky with a smile on his face. There she stood, dressed in a royal white dress with gold yellow trims. Her pale pink skin, star-spangled purple eyes and long, flowing multi-colored hair with a royal crown atop her noble brow. It could be none other than the monarch of Equestria herself, Princess Celestia. "P-Princess? Wha-What brings you here, would you uh... l-l-like me to pour you a nice hot cup of tea?" Butterscotch asked.
"Of course. I was planning on talking with you about something," Celestia said, going over and taking a seat right next to Butterscotch while he poured her some tea and handed her a cup. "Thank you. By the way, I'm sorry for coming here without telling you."
"It's no trouble at all, Princess. Would you also like me to make you a sandwich?" Butterscotch asked. Celestia chuckled at how polite he was towards her, though she didn't expect anything less from this kind soul and really admired his kind and gentle nature. She shook her head and patted him on the shoulder.
"No need to trouble yourself, the tea is all I need. Besides, I just ate," Celestia assured.
"I understand," Butterscotch said before the two of them took a few sips of their tea. "So if you don't mind me asking, what brings you all the way out here to my cottage?"
"Well, I'm glad you brought that up." she said.
Putting her tea cup down, she gave Butterscotch her full attention. "You see, Butterscotch, you've been saving Equestria for about, what, a couple of years?" Celestia asked.
"More or less," he confirmed.
"Well, I've noticed that you're hardly ever recognized for your valiant efforts because other people think you just stood by and watched idly from the sidelines. Nearly an hour later, Celestia and Butterscotch had arrived at her palace at Canterlot. Butterscotch followed her inside, receiving smiles from some of the maidens who work for Celestia.
Once they reached the double doors leading to Celestia's room, they went inside and then Celestia closed and locked it while Butterscotch stood there, patiently waiting. "P-Princess?
