What if the two royal sisters had not allowed Discord to choose the Legion of Doom's punishment? What would be the fate of the trio? Would they still be punished for what they did or would they have a different path?
Celestia and Luna didn't allow Discord to choose punishment for the Legion of Doom, after he had joined three villains and personified as Grogar. Twilight, after realizing that Discord will not be able to choose the punishment, she decides that she will try to reform the trio. It will not be easy. While she does this, the Mane 6 need to decide if they should forgive Discord after what he did.
