Chapters Author's Note
Hey guys and girls, I noticed that there are barely any Daybreaker fanfictions around here and even less ones where an oc is involved with her so I decided to do one myself. Next I wanted to say that I am no scientist or physic student so most of the space stuff in here will be unrealistic to impossible. I perhaps have some interest in space but I barely know anything about it. The thing I am mostly sure is wrong is the distance between the sun and the space station. I googled the distance of the earth and satellites then multiplicated it with the additional gravity of the sun while rounding it up. I still feel like it would slam straight into the sun buuuuut yeah.... it will just be for a few moments anyway.
Enough of my talking you came here for a reason didn't you? I hope you enjoy my story!
PS Reviews, positive as negative are appreciated!

“Ugh whatever.” a gruff voice grumbled as he shoved himself off the screen that he stared in for about an hour. Damn protocols, go there in the ship and write those stupid numbers down, then turn towards the next screen and send the coordinates and current feelings back home.
Sighing quietly the figure got out of the main room which also acted as his sleeping quarters and into the cockpit. He turned the computer on before typing in the same texts he had used over and over for god knows how long.
Name: Alexander Heinz Wolf
Date: 09.03.2142
Age: 26
Nationality: People's Republic of Poslau, continent Europe, region Germany
Coordinates: 67**** 12*** 34** 81* 32
Distance to next orbital object: 1 000 000 Kilometers, Sun
Report of the day:
Sun activity raised by 20 percent, solar panels still damaged from yesterdays meteor shower.
Running low on materials to fix, asking for permission to return into safer distance to continue repairs.
Estimated length including travel 2 days.
Pressing 'send' the German finally pulled back and let himself rotate in the non existing gravity of space. Sighing deeply he stared to the massive sun and then into the distance. The map on the computer saying that earth was roughly in this direction. Beside the window was a photo pasted with some tape which showed him his family... or rather the rest of it. His brother Sebastian sitting together with him at the table both having gigantic smiles on their faces. Alexander wished he could feel this way again and forget the travel that was pushed up on him. Without the constant danger of dying as nobody had strayed this far into space before. Without the knowledge of his oxygen levels which were slowly depleting from the lack of successful plants in his station or the thought that his brother was at home with a tumor the size of a grape in his head. At least this way he could pay the operation and therapy and Sebastian was safe should anything happen. Money was always short with his former rather low pay in the mine but taking his brother out of the orphanage was the right thing. 'Family always comes first.' his mother said.
Suddenly a loud beeb had caught his attention, right the orders for today. Turning to the clock on the screen he sighed when he noticed how he had pondered for half an hour already. Time could pass so fast out here.
Orders for the day:
Search for meteor dust to regain water supply, continue agriculture, repair solar panels without returning away from destination, deadline still in 3 days
Glory and prosperity to the People's Republic of Poslau
“... they just told me to go fuck myself didn't they?” the man muttered. Great, he was about 1 million kilometers away from the sun which perhaps sounds like much at first but it was easily close enough to toast him in a millisecond if he got out with the normal spacesuit which they use on mars or the moon, or to pull him in by its large gravity. The ship itself was perhaps secure but should he get any closer in its radius, he knew it was over.
Alexander turned to the smallest and last part of the ship, a separate room with an airlock. Getting closer he stared to the side to see his slightly grey spacesuit standing ready. Sighing quietly he started to strap in. If he wore that thing while he was on earth he would instantly be crushed by the behemoth as it weighed around 600 kg. Snorting quietly at the thought that the older suits would only weight 70 to 100, he started to put on the reinforced Kevlar, heat resistance prismasteel and reinforced plasmaplate pieces on. Getting out of this thing will be a pain in the ass he knew. But this was the least of his problems, he was far more scared about being so close to the sun as one sun storm was enough to roast him despite all of the equipment. Turning to the tether cable which would normally be used for drag entire satellites he could only shake his head knowing this was his only option. The other ropes which were normally used for space walks were all ripped already. Putting it on while strapping it to his spacesuit, then to the ship he could only look at the slightly yellowish vision of his helmet, reflecting a set of tired blue eyes with brown and sweaty hair. Taking a deep breath he put the piece on and moved to the exit before putting his hand on the lever and removing the safety glass which was over the button next to it. Pressing it he heard the door behind him shut, with a slight hiss accompanying. Turning upwards he waited until it disappeared, knowing that even the smallest bit of breathable air was worth gold out here. Soon enough the sound quieted as another lock seemed to open letting him know that he could open the exit now. Finally he slammed the handle down. Almost instantaneous he was greeted with the massive sun reminding him how much he was worth in the universe. It covered his entire view blazing in all of its glory. He noticed the large amount of sunspots indicating that it was either at its height of activity or getting close to it. Stepping outside he felt himself slowly drawn out as the cable caught him again allowing him to maneuver himself to the solar panels. Taking a look at the damage he was surprised to see that he was even able to get so much energy still out. Several large holes were covering the plates. Reaching into his zipper on the side of his spacesuit he took out some new ones and used the tools in his left zipper to exchange them. While doing so he glanced over his shoulder at the sun again. If he was not send on this almost suicidal mission he might even enjoy the sight but he knew better. This might even be the closest he would ever be to the fiery giant.
Remembering something he reached to his chest zipper and took out an old and almost forgotten tool. An antique camera. You know the ones you could ONLY make photos with. Someone might ask why he carried this.. relic with him but he remembered the speech his father gave him before he went out and died in the Poslau-Darstic war.
“Your great grandfather took a stone from the moon when the first space station was build. Your grandfather brought his first bottle of sand from the mars when the world discovered the water underneath the surface. I will not be able to take anything back to my family but you will. Take this camera and make a photo of something large, of the largest thing you believe you have achieved or are the first to achieve in your entire life.”
snap
Alexander stared at the camera which he had just taken a picture of before smiling inwardly... surely that was what dad had meant... hold on.... what was that in the dista...
SLAM
Screaming in surprise as a large object flew past him he shielded his face as several splinters hit his arm. If they caught the helmet he was sure that it would have shattered. Turning to the ship that he had lived in for such a long time he saw how the top half had one of the largest holes in it as hundreds of meteor parts shot in all directions. Suddenly he paled and that was not because his only hope of returning was gone now.
The fuel... it was unprotected and so close to the su...-
BOOM
Alexander cried out in surprise as a large piece of metal flew past him... he soon enough noticed that it was the part where his rope was connected. Looking down he screamed as the tether cable was in no way made to hold a man and almost cut into his suit while flying off, dragging him along. He was turning heads over, doing flips and turns with the explosion which was like a shockwave not helping him the slightest. He was desperately trying to get it off. Finally reaching it with his hand he undid it leaving him spinning a little more. Soon enough he began to slow down until he was looking back at the wreckage of his ship.
His head could still not wrap itself around the situation but it didn't seem to matter as a second explosion followed, more than likely from the reserve tank which was somehow intact until now.
CRACK
His eyes widening in surprise something hit his visors which then broke into thousand pieces. Gasping in surprise everything became silent as the last bit of air was sucked out of his lungs with no ability to retrieve it again. His hands reached for his throat but it was far too late. His coughs were completely silenced leaving gasping as nothing entered his already burning lungs. Slowly however he began to feel numb... He noticed how everything started to get black, with his body slowly turning. The last thing he saw was the sun, its rays most likely frying his face already, yet he just felt... cold... so.... cold....
Alexanders head was quiet, no thoughts crossed themselves like he had seen in movies about his entire life flashing before his eyes. He only thought about a single thing. His brother. What would happen to him now? Would the country keep their promise and continue the therapy? Very unlikely, as oppressive military dictatorships rarely tend to say the truth. However he had tried to help and so he hoped that his brother could forgive him for his failure....
…
…
…
Would Sebastian ever know that his brother was dead? His assignment was permanent with no return, perhaps he never would. Perhaps... its even better that way.
…
...
'Mom... Dad.... I am sorry I couldn't take care of him' he thought bitterly ready to be taken by the black.

Grandfather might also be disappointing in him, he also looked up at the great man...

Yes he gets it he is a failure can we get to the dead part please?

'Was zum Teufel?'
What is this? Why wasn't he already in the unending dark? Why could he still think? What was going on? He tried to move even the slightest but quickly discovered that he couldn't. His eyes also didn't move nor did his tongue when he tried to speak. What the fuck was going ooo...-
Warmth ...
Suddenly something changed as if someone had flipped a switch. He felt warmth all over his, well whatever was left, body. It felt like laying close to a fire under the free nightsky, like he used to together with his brother. Suddenly the warmth was aided with something... soft and comforting.
'Never thought death could be so nice...' he murmured thinking it might be a hallucination from the lack of oxygen. Then he felt something fuzzy touch his back, wrapping itself like a blanket around him. Whatever was happening right now, he didn't care anymore. If death was so gentle then he might as well enjoy his last moments. The entire stress of his now ended life was gone, reduced to atoms.
Well... until he felt something rumble bellow him. Emphasis on felt as he could still hear not a single thing. It was like... the purr of a cat who was sleeping on your chest he guessed with the same calming effect.
'Don't tell me that death has a pet.' he thought, shivering on the inside at the thought of a skeleton or zombie cat. The rumbling however was not constant but seemed to be longer or shorter, sometimes stronger sometimes weaker. All in all you could say he was confused as fuck.
That didn't change when he felt something soft press against his cheek... yeah now this was getting weird and we are not yet considering the fact that the 'blanket' was slightly moving.
Then however he suddenly felt something touch his forehead and he was out like a light. Just like that as if he just had his neck snapped or something. Weirdly enough he still felt warm though even though he couldn't think anymore... if that makes any sense.
He was in that state for quite some time until he was suddenly able to collect his thoughts again.
'What the fuck was that' Alexander thought. Did he just fall asleep IN DEATH?! Whatever it was he felt... stronger now, if that makes any sense. As if he gained strength he didn't know he was lacking. Using whatever energy he could muster up he tried to move... move even the SLIGHTEST bit but couldn't. It felt as if he was paralyzed by something... or rather someone he noted as the rumbling continued again. This time however, whatever was bellow him moved slightly.
'Hold on... is that PILLOW FUCKING ALIVE?!' A voice screamed inside his head.
As if sensing his distress the movement suddenly stopped and he felt something touch his cheeks again. He would have recoiled if he could but was unable to anything but feel something fuzzy stroke along his other one. The rumbling continued as he felt exhausted. Great so the trip of movement took more energy out of him than he had thought. Knowing there was no other way he had to try to fall asleep again which proved to be no problem as something had touched his forehead again...
… 'Huh?' was the most intelligent and appropriate thing Alexanders head could come up with. Don't blame him though he didn't wake up himself but that weird fuzzy thing bellow him did. However as he focused himself on the rumbling he noticed something quite deaf sounding around him.
“… thought of … adorable...-”
'Wait... thats a voice!' he almost screamed inside his head and what was that? Adorable? What the shit was it talking about? Listening to the voice more but this time at the height he concluded that it was while still dull sounding higher than one of a guy. So whoever was speaking to him right now was female... or a kid great so death was maybe a child now? Whatever. Then silence came again as the movement stilled, knowing he couldn't do much more he went right back to sleep.
…
…
…
“... that you have grown so much...” he heard the voice again. This time he could hear it clearly easily identifying it as a woman. “At the age of 4... you fill me with such pride...” a sigh of contentment filled the air.
'What? 4 Years? First of woman I am 26 and second WHO THE FUCK A-...'
“Oh... have we become a little excited?” the voice spoke in a warm to motherly tone.
Knowing if he would try to struggle again he might as well throw his strength out of the window this instant he focused on something else. His eyes. It felt as if they were sealed shut with flex tape (too bad he didn't have any on his ship or the solar panels would have been repaired instantly). He focused his entire energy on that simple process of opening them and oh boy... it felt like moving a tank... who had the brake on... without any tracks.... and extra armor plating... which was a Maus.
After several attempts he focused on regaining his breath... well if he could do that because if there was something that he PERHAPS should have noticed earlier was that he didn't breathe... like at all. Panic broke out as he tried his best to gain even smallest bit of air but still no reaction of his body... well except for a large amount of pain to form in his chest.
Suddenly he felt something touch the back of his head. “Is something wrong little one?” she unnervingly asked.
'Nooooo everything is just a-okay why do you ask. And for reference I am not little I AM FUCKING 1.90 meters big!' he shouted thinking back about his time in school when he was 5feet 9inches and seemingly invisible for girls at his age. He had his growth spurts later but it seemed to not matter anymore, as he died a virgin after all.
She however didn't seem to care as she instead focused on putting that fuzzy something on his back.
“Hush now.”
Focusing his entire strength he finally managed to snap his eyes open for a moment... and by the holy shitstained toaster...
'FUUUUUCK!' was all he heard as his eyes burned extremely even after shutting them. Reacting to this he instantly felt something cover his eyes.
“By the sun you can not open your eyes yet young one!”
'WELL THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION' he wanted to shout at her but he was silent as a mouse. A single drop of liquid went down his cheek, the weight feeling like it was made out iron.
As soon as this happened something seemed to click in whoever was talking to him. His entire freaking body was suddenly enveloped in that weird blanket again as he felt something rub his cheek.
“I am so sorry young one, I should have known you were trying to see your glorious mother.”
…
…
…
MY FREAKING WHAT?! He thought before something touched his forehead making him black out AGAIN.
Alexander groaned as he was knocked out cold so often in a row. His cheek felt sore, probably from the constant rubbing so he moved his mouth slightly to ease it....
WAIT I MOVED! His eyes snapped open by instinct making him want to wince as he didn't want to go through the pain again only for nothing to follow. Hesitatingly he opened them again to see fire... A freaking world of fire. Looking around he saw nothing but orange and red in the sky with something close to resembling a burning inferno at the bottom of them...
Them you might ask? Oh yeah you remember that weird blanket he kept talking about which covered his stomach? Yeah turns out that were a pair of wings....
'OH SHIIIIIII!' he tried to shout, but all that came out was a squeak. Yes I am serious a squeak. Like the sort of squeaky toy that made your dog go crazy, which you kept on fake throwing until he finally bit you in the dick as revenge... oh yes I am getting of the point already don't worry.
Hearing a quiet moan bellow him he tried to move even the slightest but couldn't. Turning down he saw a blanket of light orange to white... fur? He guessed judging by the feel on his skin and the size difference.... hold up fur on a fiery surface? Second question FIERY SURFACE?!
“Ahhhh good morning I see you are already awake.” the voice was as gentle as ever. He in the meantime was far too occupied to try to see who has been tormenting him the last few... days? He wasn't so sure anymore
As if noticing his struggle he heard a light female laugh.
“Cease you attempt young one, it is time you finally see your mother in all her well deserved glory.” before he could think about her declaration again he was suddenly turned around by... something he guessed. However he would have wished for his sanity that this wouldn't have happened.
“Hello young one, my name is Daybreaker and I am your mother.”
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. Alexander was laying with his head against the mares side once again. His entire head hurting with the amount of questions and lack of logic around him. This was a nightmare, one of the cruelest nightmares he had ever gone through. What had he done to deserve this? Was it because he stole sometimes from the more well of to feed his brother? Or was it because he didn't believe in the 'divine' rule of the republic?
He didn't even try to stop the tears. Death had done it, it had broken him.
Even after several minutes the crying didn't stop. He felt shameful to let it out like that but his pride was taken a long time ago. Right now he wanted to do nothing but let the anguish out even if it was noticed by a certain someone.
“Ahhhh~ good morning Dawnbre...-” she immediately stopped when she turned her gaze to him. Her maternal instincts kicked off far harsher than normally. Her foal, her HEIR was crying and she didn't even notice.
Alexander almost cried out in surprise as his minute long stare was disrupted when he was suddenly flipped. Moments later he was laying on a warm soft surface once again with something covering his back. Oh yeah and the nuzzling of his face was there too. It didn't take long for him to realize what happened, but this time he didn't even try to resist.
“Shhh” she whispered. “Let mother take your sorrows and worries away.” The former human said and thought nothing. His head now empty, what happened to him now didn't matter, not anymore at least. With her hoof on the back of his head and his muzzle in the neck of the mare he didn't notice that he was slowly drifting off once again.
…
…
…
'Hm? Oh this again.' Alexander thought slowly getting sick of laying around all day. He was better than yesterday now. Turning to his side he still saw Daybreaker sleeping peacefully with one of her hoofs reached around him. She was turned to her side with him apparently sleeping against her belly once again. He carefully pushed her leg away before stepping his front hoofs against the ground.
'Okay... drei, zwei, eins' with that he jumped up... standing on 4 hoofs instead of 2 feet is an own experience. You can guess what happened next right? 'Woah woah woa...-'
“Umpf!” came out of his mouth huh looks like another body part got stronger too.
Letting out an inward groan he lifted his face from the stone hard ground. Turning back he sighed in relief to see the mare still sleeping.
'Okay again!' with that he got up only to fall to his side. Laying on his back he let out a inward sigh, this would prove to be a longtime project.
Slam
Slam
Slam
Sla- 'Oh FOR FUCKS SAKE' Alexander shouted inside his head as he fell down for what felt like the 10th time. This didn't mean that it wasn't any less painful though, remember the ground still felt like it was made out of solid rock. Gritting his teeth he was about to stand up again when he heard the dreaded voice again.
“Dawnbreaker what are you doing?” he turned to the side to see her slowly standing up. Noticing his position her eyes widened before a bright smile formed on her face. 'Dear god no.'
“Little one you should have told me you were trying to walk!” she practically shouted in pure euphoria. He winced at the volume of her voice but she quickly reached to pull him up again. He almost squeaked at the amount of force used but managed to stand still.
“Flank a little lower dear.” she instructed lovingly making him want to vomit. The fuck is a flank anyway? Like the flank in battle? The train of thoughts was interrupted when she pressed her hoof on his backside showing what she meant. Letting her free rule for now stood in a far more comfortable position.
Yes he stood for more than 5 seconds, he didn't want to believe it himself. Finally he felt her wrap a hoof bellow him. Looking up to her smile she whispered.
“Go on, I'll catch you should you fall.” Hesitating for a moment he then took a step forward, then another and another. Meanwhile the mare followed him slowly intend on keeping her promise. Finally after around 1 minute he tried to sit down only to lose his balance and be caught by her. He heard her soft laugh letting him grumble quietly. Not a moment later he was once again in a cuddle season leaving him swear to god that one day he would ram this horn of his into her throat.
…
…
…
A sigh of contend filled the air... or whatever the fuck was surrounding them. It however did not come, as assumed from the mare, but from the (hopefully) colt she held tightly in her embrace. With his cheek against her stomach, the softest pillow he ever had, his gaze turned to her once again sleeping form.
'For the fact that I am supposed to be the child of the two of us she sleeps even more than I do.' he thought smiling to himself. 'Wait why am I smiling I hate her... somewhat right? She is responsible for all of this isn't she?' despite this thought gnawing at his mind he couldn't honestly care anymore. Her fur was faaaaaaaaaaaaar to soft for that. Or was it coat? He remembered that she called it that once.
Moving to change positions he accidentally went across a sore spot of his many attempts of walking.
“Sssssche....” came out of his mouth. The reaction was almost instantaneous as he was once again kicked up in the air. His eyes widened as he thought he was going to get slammed into something again when he was suddenly caught and locked in an embrace by none other than the mare who was sound asleep just a moment ago. Her eyes were gazing into his as if waiting for him to do something. She was fucking terrifying in that moment. However soon enough a grin painted her face.
“Did I just hear you try to say a word?” she asked him. Noticing his slight shivering her eyes expanded a lot and when I say a lot THEN I MEAN IT.
'What the fu...'
These were the equivalent of ultra puppy eyes as her pupils became so large that they were almost covering her entire eyeball. Instead of the original purpose of puppy eyes however this made it fucking terrifying like she was going to eat him or something.
“Come now say it.” she urged him not breaking her gaze.
'Say what now?' he thought as he tried to back away as much as he could in his current position.
“Say mother, say it little one.”
'… She does realize what I was trying to earlier wouldn't even get close to that word... well on the other side she is kind of one'
Her pupils expanded even more (don't ask me how) as she touched him nose to nose.
“Say it little one, I know you are able to.”
'Someone call child protection service right now because I feel like she won't take anything else as an answer.' he thought finally though he opened his mouth making her eyes glitter in anticipation.
“Get your fucking hoofs of my stomach you are crushing me!” the pure power and volume in which he shouted this sentence out surprised both of them but none the less it was understandable. She was literally breaking his rips right now.
“W..-What?!” she asked out in pure shock at the perfectly formed sentence, setting aside the meaning.
“For the love of god LET ME FUCKING GO! You have constantly been cuddling hugging, gripping snuggling, smooching me. I need some fucking space!” This made him blink. 'Sounds more like a broken marriage.'
“D-Dawnbreaker?” she asked as if to make sure it was the foal she has been … 'raising'.
“Stop saying that! My name is FUCKING ALEXANDER!”
“L-little one calm yourself.” she spoke timidly, the once so proud and brave queen reduced to stutters by nobody else but a foal.
“I won't be quiet, I haven't been able to speak for the last few.... well for a long time! You better explain what all of this is!”
“What has gotten into you?” she asked as if she could not believe this was happening.
“What has... Woman I was a 26 year old guy who was blown into pieces and roasted in space only to wake up to some unicorn with wings and burning mane who mothers me to death for the last few weeks, while not being able to move or speak and being turned into a unicorn MYSELF! Oh yes I am feeling PERFECT!”
Taking deep breaths of the still nonexistent air he felt fucking exhausted, having put all of his energy into that ragefilled rant. To be honest he was ready to slam into the ground and sleep when he was suddenly pulled closer by Daybreaker. Lowering both of them simultaneously she left his head resting against her side like before.
“My poor Dawnbreaker.” she whispered. He was about to remind her of his actual name when she nuzzled him. “I am so sorry, I had thought your memories would have faded until now, but apparently not.” she gave a bittersweet smile.
“I will answer any questions you have later but for now you have to rest. While your soul may be a few billion years old your body is still the age of a ten year old colt.”
“W-What?...” he asked already feeling drowsy. This was amplified by the kiss he received on his forehead just bellow his horn. Moments later he was already asleep.
Alexander woke up still in the very same position he was originally in and much to his surprise, Daybreaker was also awake.
“Good morning young one.” she smiled receiving a drowsy groan as he tried to bury himself in her stomach again. This earned a nuzzle on his cheek. Knowing that he won't get any more sleep like this he finally laid down on his cheek to see the mare into her eyes. Her gaze was burning with nothing but affection and love and he had no fucking idea on how to react on it. That's it, this mare was officially crazy.
“So...” she started. “I best start explaining, you can ask your question afterwards.” she spoke waiting for a reaction but getting none as he just kept his gaze. It looked to her that he was still tired and comfortable at the moment.
She opened her mouth and...-
“How did I land here?” he immediately asked making her sigh but keep smiling none the less. If there was one thing he more than certain has inherited then it was her stubbornness.
“Well little one, to be honest I do not know.” this made him blink. “Your soul was here before I was so you should.”
What the fuck? So he was here before her? And what did she mean soul?
“You said that you were in space no? Were you close to the sun by any chance?” she asked.
“I... I was blown into it I think.” he answered thinking back as the space station was just beyond the gravitational pull of the sun.
“Well then young one you have your answer. Your soul was trapped in the sun.”
“What? Woman you have to make sense for once!” he shouted getting frustrated at her lack of sense.
Shaking her head she soon continued.
“Have you noticed how hard it was for you to even move while being here? To breathe?”
“So you are trying to tell me that we are on...-”
“The sun yes.” she interrupted.
Alexander stared at her for a few moments before laughing hysterically. Seeing her serious stare however made him silent very soon.
“Wait, you're serious? Are you high on death sticks?! This whole soul stuff doesn't exist! ”
“Of course it does young one, how else was I supposed to...” she sighed knowing she was getting nowhere. “Listen little one, I have been telling you nothing but the truth ever since I first carried you in my hoofs. I found your soul inside the sun which is where we are right now.”
Alexander looked around and just suddenly felt reeeeally small. “But wait... if I am trapped here how did you get here? From where are you anyway?”
Daybreaker blinked before she shook her head. “I have really forgotten to tell you about Equestria haven't I? Very well, you see Equestria is a land filled with ponies, similar to you and me. There are earth ponies who lack both horn and wings, then pegasi and unicorns.”
“Uhhh...-” he started.
“EXCEPT...” she spoke showing that she doesn't wish to be interrupted again. “Me, my weaker self, my sister and my sisters shadow.”
“...What.”
“I will explain it to you later once your training begins.”
He opened his mouth only for her to stare at him with a frown on her muzzle. Letting out a wince quickly laid down on her stomach again. Seeing this she nodded with a smile and continued.
“I was banished by my weaker self and brought here to the sun for at least a thousand years.... she seems to like those punishments...” she spoke offhandedly making him tilt his head.
“Considering my immunity to heat I would most likely come out physically unscathed so the actual punishment would be the isolation, which I have to admit... severed me. Madness was slowly manifesting itself and when I thought that I might drown in it, I found one last light. A soul just like me trapped inside the sun. I thought of the countless opportunities I could have with this and thought to search for a way to aid it in my escape until I realized that it might even take care of my most basic instinct. My maternal one. When I first held you in my hooves I felt like... something breaking inside me. Something that should have broken a long time ago. Ever since then I have been raising you as my own.
You were the light that shone my darkness away, brought me into a new dawn of happiness. You were and are my little Dawnbreaker.” she finished smiling brightly at the colt who was more freaked out than ever.
“Hold on... how the fuck did you then turn me into... this?” he asked gesturing to his body.
This question made her pause for a moment before her horn began to sparkle. He was confused until he felt something touch his neck, slowly covering him like a blanket. Turning around he almost shat his pants... if he still carried any. Her fiery mane had moved over his body. Moving out of pure instinct he was held down by Daybreakers hoof.
“No need to be afraid Dawnbreaker, just feel it.” she spoke in a soft tone and true to her word it wasn't hot the slightest but soft. REALLY soft. Alexander reached towards it pulling it closer before pushing his face into it. Hearing a quiet chuckle beside him he almost let out a growl but restrained it. It wasn't his fault that it was so nice!
“Apparently you can recognize your birthplace.” she spoke making him snap out of it. Looking up he saw her reach to head with one of her hoofs before pulling at her mane. Out came a small strain of what looked like... a burning hair? What the fuck?
“All it took was a single strain of my mane to give you life.” she spoke as she... gave it to him. He held it with both of his hoofs still not believing his ears. Seeing this she gave him a small nuzzle on his cheek.
“I understand that this must be overwhelming for you, but rest assured. I will be here for you, for the current millennium and many more.”
Wait millennium, hold on... didn't she also say that she was banished here for a century?!
“Hold on... WHAT?! As far as I looked back horses only live for 40 years or so...” he shouted trying to stand up only for her mane to be in the way. Growling he pushed it aside to complete his 'task'. Seeing this Daybreaker quickly got up too.
She smirked down at him. “It's ponies young one and we are not gods for no reason, we are immortal.” she reached to touch the top of his head, with him being far too stunned at her answer to react.
“You will mature until you are at the tender age of twenty five and then continue to live forever.”
Alexander was quiet, his entire head empty once again. Immortal, FUCKING IMMORTAL. How many people back at his home would rip their heads off for this achievement which he got thrown at with.
“Well then, I suppose now that we-...”
“Hold on, you said that I was inside the sun, is this Equestria orbiting it right now?” he asked making her blink.
Sighing he simplified “Is the star that Equestria is rotating around this one or another?”
Finally understanding she answered “It is.”
Alexander was left deep in thought. What the fuck happened to earth?
“And there are no other races except horses right?”
“Ponies.” she corrected. “There are other races on Equestria such as griffons, minotaurs...”
“But humans?” he asked trying to get to the point. Letting out a frustrated sigh at the impatient colt she shook her head.
“Humans? Why do yo... oh I see, this must have been race no?” she asked but not waiting for an answer. “No there hasn't been any in equestrian history.”
Alexander grunted and slammed his hoof against the fiery surface they were standing on.
“However-”
He looked up at her again.
“My father often told me the stories of one of our ancestors. An alicorn called Lauren Faust found a star with planets suitable for living but the fireball was slowly dying. She rekindled it before building a new home for her to rest in and watch over. Before she did however she created ponies, minotaurs and many other races to walk the ground she had created. This land was named Equestria.” she finished.
“Wait... how old did you say I was again?”
She was silent before her horn lit up. He at first stepped back as she lowered herself to his size but stopped. If she didn't want to harm him before why should she now?
“I... I can tell that it was before Equestria was created so at least... 10 billion years.”
Alexander blinked. That was a HUUUUUUUGE timeline he skipped.
'So that means I am 10 billion years late for dinner.' he chuckled dryly. Daybreaker looked at him oddly. That was when his eyes snapped open.
“Wait... 10 billion years?!” he slammed on his back. “No wonder the fucking earth wasn't there anymore!” Seeing him react like that triggered the maternal instinct of the mare once again as she quickly scooped down and laid him on her stomach again.
“No fucking wonder.” he began to hyperventilate... yeah um you didn't forget that there was still no oxygen around here right? His body didn't seem to care for that at this moment as his brain was far too occupied by going into liquid status... oh wait its already liquid now going for gas... aaaaaaaaaaand here we are going for plasma.
“Little one you must calm yourself, what is the matter?” Daybreaker asked feeling worried.
“Whats the matter?” he asked shaking more and more. “The matter is that my fucking planet first got swallowed up then got blasted in a SUPERNOVA!” he whimpered. His home was gone, the place he used to life in his....
His eyes suddenly widened.
“Sebastian...” he whispered.
His brother, his little Sebastian was gone. That thought alone destroyed the damn which kept all of his emotions together until now and he broke down in tears. Daybreakers maternal instinct now kicked up to infinite levels as she tried to calm her foal down the best she could, using whatever was possible. Her soft stomach, soothing voice and whispers, her wings and finally her mane.
Alexander has never been the man to cry. Fuck nobody has ever been. Living in a terror regime made one thing clear: Only the strongest survive. If you were emotional you were dead. If you couldn't shut your mouth you were dead and if you didn't speak of the glory of Poslau once a day... you can guess what happened. His mom had done this mistake once and it had shown enough, in the public execution of hers along with others. He had to see her getting shot while she standing in a line with others. She was not even worth the bullet to the regime.
“Dawnbreaker.” he heard a voice distantly speaking. Alexander knew it was the mares and felt her attempts to comfort him. Never in his wildest dreams would he have thought to end up like this. Perhaps his mom was right, one day he would be in the arms of a woman, she probably didn't picture it like this. A bittersweet smile graced his lips.
“Dawnbreaker.” she spoke again. What would his mom say if she saw him like this? In a way he already heard her voice.
“Life is short and don't let anybody try to keep you from enjoying it.”
When he first heard it he didn't realize how radical she actually meant it, but he none the less admired it. She knew what was going to happen and she didn't break even when brought before the wall she would eventually be shot at.
“Don't let my death or any other keep you from living.”
Perhaps she saw this coming and tried to prepare him and his brother.
“Dawnbreaker.” this time he broke out of his train of thoughts by the pure desperation in her voice. Her eyes were now teary too as he desperately nuzzled him. “Look at me, look at your mother.”
Mother , he felt his instincts gnawing at his mind upon hearing it again. He always ignored it before but now he couldn't in the context with the thoughts from before. Would his mom want him to keep living even here? Like this? Having a new mother and perhaps a new family? He had to admit that no matter how much he struggled against the nuzzles and snuggles the last few... whatever he kind of enjoyed it. Yes burn him at a stake he didn't care anymore. Perhaps this was a new start for him and later he might get to Equestria... a world without death and oppression.
He stared up to Daybreaker who finally managed to get the slightest reaction out of him.
“Dawnbreaker?” she asked her voice heavy.
Alexa...
…
…
…
He hugged her.
Daybreakers eyes widened before her cheek nuzzled against his before she wrapped everything she had around him.
“My poor little Dawnbreaker. Do not worry now, mother is here for you.”

Author's Note
Well here is an additional chapter that I managed to get out. It is really a short one which is why I am throwing two chapters on 1 day out^^
Chapter 6
The young stallion woke up feeling even more tired than before he went to sleep. Must have been his 'bed'. Looking down he saw the mare snoozing once again. He at first tried to pull away only for him to notice that he still had his hoofs wrapped around her.
Letting go he got off Daybreaker who almost immediately tried to reach for him. 'Guess she didn't lie about her maternal instinct.' he noted. She kept reaching until she grabbed a... hoofful? of mane wrapping it up to a ball and pressing it once again against her.
Walking back he laid down thinking on the events of yesterday and at his... moment of weakness. He almost snorted at the thought. 'Weakness' he was crying like a little girl and snuggled into the comfort of... her .
As this thought crossed his mind he turned to the mare who was beginning to get unruly. Apparently someone had noticed that he had escaped.
'Is... is this right?' he asked himself noting that there was a certain... desire to return into her hoofs. His resistance was slowly breaking now. What other option did he have? He was trapped along with her on a star for what a very long time. At least this way it might go faster. Taking a deep breath he finally made his decision. If some divine thing had graced him with this life he might as well accept it.
“Dawnbreaker?!” he heard her speaking. Turning to her he expected her to smile at him as warmly as yesterday only that she didn't. Her face was filled with pure shock and fear. He blinked at what could do thi...-
As he turned his hand he saw a giant purple portal with some sort of golden claw slowly reaching to him. His head slowly turned to the front again.
…
…
…
oh....
…
…
…
“SCHEIßE!” he shouted as he tried to jump forward only to be grabbed by this thing. Daybreaker didn't waste any second as she jumped up and leapt to him faster than anything he had ever seen before. Her hoofs were stretched forward while he was pulled back into the portal with immense power. In almost no second he was back in the portal as the view of the mare became more and more purplish. The only thing he could still hear was her heartbreaking scream.
“DAWNBREAKER!”
…
…
…
Suddenly she was gone. His hoof who he hadn't noticed which had also reached to her now facing a wall of purple. Turning back he still saw the golden claw taking a hold of him. Growling he reached with his hoof trying to pray it off him.
He legit felt scared for now, his heart pumping like a maniac. Scratch what he said before he desperately wanted to get back to Daybreaker now! Finally three of the claws had been ripped off his coat. Using all of his force he kicked the remaining claw back as it suddenly dissolved. Problem? Well apparently it was stabilizing him before and now he was spinning like crazy.... Does this remind you of a certain situation?
Suddenly he heard loud hissing as he slowly became colder and colder.
'What is this hissing?! Wait... hissing in space?! That wouldn't make sense. That was when he felt something literally yank him into an direction out of the portal. The once purple surroundings suddenly turned yellow, orange and red. He felt like he was falling straight into hell. Squinting his eyes as the wind was blinding him he focused his entire sight to the ground only to notice something... there was something green bellow him and it was getting closer VERY quickly.
“OH SHI-”
BAM
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. When Dawnbreaker woke up, he was ready to go back to sleep again. His body had barely recovered from whatever happened yesterday. Looking around he grumbled.
“Whoever made this room surely liked orange.”
“Actually the room is pure white young one.” he heard his second contestant for the most annoying voice of the year. “Your bubble isn't transparent, and the heat causes it to appear more orange.”
He turned to the multicolored ughhhh 'pony' looking through a book. “Heat?” he asked making the mare fold her book.
“Your body is adapted to stay inside the sun, I do not know how much your... mother has told you of this world but it doesn't nearly get as much as heat as your former home.”
Dawnbreaker grumbled at this information, as he let out a low sigh.
“When can I go back?” he asked making the mares eyes widen.
“Why would you... listen young one, whoever you believe Daybreaker to be, she is it not. She is...”
“I don't give two shits what you think about her... I just want to get close to her again.” he muttered making the mares expression soften.
“I... I understand, however even if I wished to, I could not return you back to the sun.”
“What?!” he practically shouted. Don't tell him he was once again stuck on some foreign planet/region.
“Calm yourself young one, like I said I can not return you back to the sun.”
“Wha...why just send me the same way back!” he stood up glaring at the mare who none the less kept calm.
“It is not that easy young one, taking you from the sun itself already presented a very large risk of bringing back Daybreaker.”
Sighing in defeat he laid flat on his stomach. “You guys really don't like her do you?”
She opened her mouth
“Rhetorical question.”
Only to shut it again.
“And what do you then plan to do with me? Your sister looked ready to kill me.”
Celestia almost looked offended. “Young one that was merely the slight.... disrespect for our title, however she has long recovered from this. I admit there are certain voices who would... prefer your death, word has gotten around and there are few who wish for you to stay.”
“Yeah telling the ponies that the son of their arch enemy is back is a great idea.” he spoke sarcastically.
“We didn't, if you hadn't struggled against the grip of our portal you would have been brought back in all secrecy. However, due to your fight against us you flew off course into a forest near a village creating a rather large crater.”
“... fucking great so I am dead. Do I get to decide how I die? Lets see... burned alive? Good luck creating more heat than the sun, guillotine? Never liked the french... shot on the wall? Brings back bad memories... ah I know how about a stoning? Then the mob has something to do too!” he spoke the mares eyes getting wider and wider.
“By the sun how are you thinking of these disturbing thoughts?”
“Being born in a dark times brings those.” he said leaving the mare quiet for a moment.
“So she has not even stopped at your innocence then, more than likely preparing to use you as a mere weapon.”
Knowing immediately who she was talking about he glared at her but decided to conserve his strength... for now at least.
“So, what do you plan to do with me then? Keep me locked in here for the rest of eternity?”
Celestia shook her head. “No, I will give you the freedom to walk around the royal palace.”
He blinked. “The what now?”
The mare let out a sigh, before her horn lit up. Staring in confusion the colt noticed something... this weird shield was moving, looking back he noticed how it was getting smaller and smaller until it seemed to cover his legs, slowly trailing upwards. It trailed closer to his eyes as he automatically shut them for a moment. Then he still saw the world in orange but was still able to move. Reaching up he tapped his hoof against his chest, both of which felt numb from the impact.
“What the fu...”
“I simply made the shield of yours cover your body, feel free to walk to the door.” she spoke picking up the book she had been reading.
He did as he was told and moved over before reaching to the doorknob.
Snap
Eyes widened as he suddenly held the entire knob in his hoofs he stared at the mare flipping through her pages.
“Interesting.” she said quietly before shutting it again before smiling slightly. “I would advice that I should open doors for now.”
Taking a step back he let her lead him through the halls. It was obvious that they were decorated but to him everything still looked orange in different shades. On the way he noticed something else, several stallions just slightly bigger than him stood in what looked like plate armor armed with spears and swords.
“So much for my hopes on trying to built a ship myself...” he muttered getting the attention of Celestia who turned around as she stopped near a door. Opening it it revealed a large library with several stone tables and glasses of all sorts filled with god knows what.
“Twilight, our guest is here.”
'That is one way to put it.' he thought.
“Twili...” Celestia stopped as they both gazed at the mare in question sleeping on top of a book, a trail of drool dropping to the ground.
“Ew...” Dawnbreaker spoke out loudly as Celestia merely used her magic to put a blanket over her.
“Very well, I will do it myself then.” she spoke with a small grin as he mentioned to one of the stone tables. Taking out another book from the stock she continued.
“I will need to know more about your time on the sun.”
“Thousand times better than here.” was his instant response making the mare sigh before her patience was starting to break.
“Listen young one, if it wasn't for my sister and myself you would most likely be.... under very unfortunate circumstances so I would suggest for you to listen.” with that done she began to read.
“You act like you are some sort of president or something.” he muttered as the mares concentration broke. She opened her mouth only to sigh deeply. “I can not believe that I have forgotten to tell you of our rank in the kingdom.” straightening herself she spoke.
“Both me and my sister are the princesses of Equestria.”
“And I am Jangles the Moon Monkey.”
snap
Celestias hoof had gripped itself so strong as the pen she held in her hoof had broken under the pressure.
“Calm yourself Celestia, just act like he is one of the nobles...” she muttered fetching a new one.
“We should continue, now your age was ten no? You seem to be a lot bigger than a pony at your age.”
“Has to be in the DNA.”
“Has your... mother ever talked about your father?” she asked trying to find out where a colt could fit into this.
“Nope.” he spoke out truly... “I was materialized out of thin air.”... at first
Blinking the mare wrote that down into the book. 'Damn she actually believed that.'
“Finally how would you like to describe your time at the sun.”
“It was just me and a thousand guinea pigs... they turned carnivorous.”
slam Dawnbreaker couldn't contain his slightly childish giggle at the mare who slammed her head against the desk.
The young colt laid on top of his... 'castle' made out of pillows. Celestia had walked off while carrying Twilight within her magic grip telling him specifically not to touch anything. For now, he had obeyed well enough... though he had to admit, leaving a colt within a laboratory? Not the best idea eh?
Withstanding his inner demons to become a crazy scientist he sighed as he looked outside of the window.
This... 'princess' (he still didn't believe her) was gone for several hours already, she looked like she was ready to murder somebody or 'somepony' as they liked to call it.
'Have I taken this too far?' he thought at the amount of rage in her eyes but then shook his head. 'Nah, she deserves it.' he mused out. IT was kind of weird... ever since he left the sun and with that mo...
He stopped the second he wanted to speak the word out realizing something. How long has he been calling her mother or mom already? His head began to hurt as he slightly shivered as all he could think of was resting in her nice warm and soft mane.
What the fu...-
That was when the door opened and a rather dark orange head popped out.
"Ah I would have thought that you were already asleep, young colts such as you need their rest." Ah yeah it was... Luna right? She quickly came in and closed the door behind her observing the pile of pillows he was laying on.
"I see you have already prepared yourself." she spoke almost in the same tone as his mother would, which made him gag.
"Can you please stop with the whole little talk? You are going to make me vomit." Hearing this the mare frowned slightly but still closed in.
"I can not help it if you seem so comfortable." she spoke as her smile came back.
"Well I ain't. No really, it feels like I am laying on top of a stone right now." he said kicking it to the side before laying down on the ground. "I don't even feel a difference."
The mare blinked but used her horn to bring a new pillow to herself before sitting down on it.
"I see, well you should still be able to sleep properly. Especially if I will sing you a lullaby!" she spoke with a smile.
"Don't."
"But I must!" she continued with enthusiasm
"Are you a disney princess?"
"A what? I am a princess yes, bu..."
"Then you don't have to sing anything." he spoke as he laid down. The mare sighed quietly.
"So this is what sister has warned me about, you should perhaps speak with more respect."
"Yeah respect to my captors horai!"
The mares eye twitches for a moment.
"In former times ponies have been burned alive for less"
"Okay boomer."
Taking several deep breaths she noticed a book bellow him. Smiling slightly she asked
"Are you interested in learning our culture now?"
"Well, knowledge is power as far as I know."
"Finally something we can agree on, where have you found it?"
"That... Twilight I think was sleeping on top of it."
Raising her eyebrow she opened it and flipped through the pages then suddenly froze.
"You alright?" he asked with half lidded eyes.
"H-Have... have you been looking through it... already?"
"Not really what is it? Give it to me." he held his hoof out only for the mare to close it shut revealing a bright blush.
"N-Nay there is no need to. Go to sleep now young one, I shall guard your dreams."
"... alright..." he spoke laying down. The mare gazed at him for several moments and laid down herself, perhaps she could get some work do...-
"... its always the librarians huh?" aaaaaaaaaaaand she was awake for the night.
Dawnbreaker groaned in frustration as he was once again sitting in the library now underneath all of these pillows. Perhaps testing out his strength while in the room next to it was some sort of noble meeting wasn't the greatest idea but hey... at least now he knows that he is able to slam a stallion through what looked like 30 cm thick stone blocks. Why so specific? Well lets just say somebody errr 'pony' called Blueblood now learned how to properly speak to peo... UGH ponies.
His head still ached form the puns that this race made. Everything else is completely the same, normal English but the puns... dear god he feels like the world was preparing him to become a dad. But that was not all, whatever he felt yesterday it got a lot worser. Something inside him was trying to kill him, he was sure. He felt cold, uncomfortable even tired from the sleepless nights prior and when he thought it couldn't get worse it seems like god or rather Faust just send him the middlefinger.
“He-llo!” came a rather higher voice from the door. This time a really bright... alicorn? Was it that what Celestia called their race? Entered the room. From what he could gather he knew that her coat was rather bright but not like Celestias, just a little darker and she was also a LOT smaller than her and Luna.
“Ahhh it feels like I am 16 again!” she smiled widely as Dawnbreaker kept underneath his structure like a bunker. “Dawnbreaker where are you?” she asked looking around before a wide smile came to her face “Oh are we playing hide and seek?”
The colt didn't know what was wrong with her. From what he understood so far she had been the babysitter of Twilight AND on top of that she was supposed to be some sort of princess of love... that explains why the former was reading through that boo-
ERM what I am trying to say is that Dawnbreaker was still a little freaked out about her. She had the same vipe as his mother did, but while the later had a reason she didn't and also kicked it up by ten.
“Now I wonder where he could be...” 9/10 would use plasmagun again
It was obvious that she already knew where he was, the several peeks she took at him was enough. Finally though she slowly made her way to him making him shudder. Nope he was not going through this again.
“Aaaaaaand got you!” Cadence giggled as she pushed the pillows out of the way only to find nobody underneath. Looking left and right she finally found a certain someone near a window. Her eyes widened as he let out a salute before climbing outside.
“DAWNBREAKER!” she screeched as she instantly ran towards the window before looking upwards to see an orange tail waver at the next window. She ran towards the door ramming it down with the hinges breaking down. With speed that rivaled Rainbow Dash she was already on the next floor (which was the armory) only to see the younger stallion stare at the swords there with fascination.
“Dawnbreaker you might hurt yourself!” she shouted but he was already bolting off with her following. Panting quietly at the hundreds of stairs he was running up she stopped halfway panting.
“I... by Celestia she is right I am getting old...” she looked to the side to see the colt sliding down the side downwards again. “That's it you are grounded!” she shouted as she followed him.
The colt didn't listen as he instead ran left and right, from one side of the royal palace to the next with the guards only staring at the sweating princess dashing after the young 'bundle of joy' she so often called. On the way they found themselves crossing ways with nopony else but Blueblood who was almost immediately slammed aside, which did result in a small giggle by the princess... what you don't expect her to like him just because they are cousins do you?
Finally the colt stopped at the library with the princess literally crawling after him. Eventually she reached him grabbing the colt by the leg.
“You...”she panted. “are groun...ded...” she spoke falling into unconsciousness. Seeing her like this did bring a small piece of pity inside him... a small bit... like... the size of an atom.... okay.... a proton.... neutron? electorn? Quarks? Okay the size of a quark. With that in mind he looked at the rather large bunker he still had before lowering himself. The mare was REALLY light. He easily picked her up with little to no effort at all. Probably had to be due to the increased gravity he had back at the sun.
He quickly pulled her back to the pillows before placing her down on them. She took a small pillow and pressed it against herself protectively hold it as if it was her own foal. This resulted a small stab inside heart. He just had to think of his mom didn't he?
Sighing quietly he laid down on the ground beside her... remember he still felt no difference. They said it was impossible for him to get back didn't they? Sighing quietly he rolled to his side, a strain of his orange mane covering his mouth. Gripping it he remembered when he was back in her embrace.
With narrowed eyes he made a decision. He would wait for her, even if it would take longer than the millennium she spoke of.
...
…
…
Little did he know that he would see her soon enough as a few hooded ponies stared inside the window, all carrying the same golden necklace in the shape of a sun.
'Primo Sol.' was engraved in them.
Dawnbreaker felt weird when he woke up. Normally when he did, he always heard the voices of some guards marching around, maids cleaning stuff up, Blueblood getting his flank kicked into a wall, the normal kind of things. Something felt... off... it could also be the what sounded like latin chanting of several hooded ponies around him while he was laying on some sort of stone altar with a gigantic sun over his head... wait... WHAT?!
His half lidded eyes snapped up as he tried to jump up only to slam down on the altar again. Gasping in surprise he struggled against whatever was holding him down but didn't move the slightest.
"Welcome son of the only one." he heard a deep voice beside him. Turning to the speaker he saw a still hooded pony with only its snout revealed which was split up in a grin.
"We have been expecting you."
"W-Who the fuck are you?" Dawnbreaker asked almost having to cough from the amount of strength required for this simple sentence. It felt like he was on the sun all over again.
"We are nopony but simple servants of the almighty one, of the glorious, eternally shining star also known as Queen Daybreaker." the stallion spoke.
The colt tried to open his mouth but whatever was pulling him down a lot stronger, to the point where he had become unable to speak once again.
"We can imagine that your holiness is asking yourself why we have... freed you from those heretics." he mentioned over to a statue of none other than Daybreaker made out of pure gold.
'Where the fuck...'
"Those fools in canterlot hadn't even tried to cover up your arrival and heritage but still dare to speak so ill of you and her highness. We have come to put an end to this and to help her achieve her true goals, for this we are in need of a small sacrifice of yours." he circled to the other side where 20 other ponies stood.
"I sensed that you are still untrained in the arts of the eternal fire, for which would be required to pave the path of her return but this will be achievable even with the limited time we have. The eternal flame is powered by only one emotion. Rage, any anger you have has to be turned to rage and needs to be burned inside your heart. Any pain your receive must be burned to ashes and for this we have assembled our most gifted unicorns." he turned to the ponies in question.
Wait... eternal fire, rage... PAIN?!
"We shall begin, may your pain be remembered by those you have helped to see the light."
With this finished he returned to the group whose hoods emitted different colors of sparkles underneath with the former preacher joining them.
'SHIT SHIT SHIT! THIS IS A FUCKING CULT!' Dawnbreaker struggled as best as he could but it was useless. Whatever was keeping him down it was starting to get stronger and stronger.
With each passing second the weight that was pushed up on him, from his limps, stomach and body increased pressing him harsher and harsher against the stone. His lungs burned already by the immense amount of weight put upon him. Pain was starting to erupt from every corner of his body and the worst thing it wasn't getting any better and Dawnbreaker knew it.
"Use your rage, bring us back the almighty one!" he heard the stallion shout but the colt was far too occupied as his brain went into panic mode.
BREATHE
THINK
MOVE
RUN
Different instincts were screaming at his head, all at the same time not helping the slightest. That was when he heard the dreadful voice of the stallion again.
"Stronger."
As soon as this word left his lips Dawnbreaker would have screamed out in agony if he could. His weight seemed to have doubled as he was more than sure that his bones, if there were not made by his mothers DNA would have shattered by now.
"Still nothing stronger!"
'YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!' he wanted to shout out but the shockwave of pain that followed send his mind into a reset mode. All he could now was to focus his eyes on the stallion who was gritting his teeth. All that Dawnbreaker could think of right now was a single emotion. Rage. Pure and untamed rage.
"It is working!" a mare in the group shouted with glee. "Increase it further!"
Dawnbreaker was sure that he was slowly getting close to the amount of pain a normal person could possible receive before blacking out. Sure enough his vision was getting darker and with this the rage was slowly disappearing.
"No! We can not let it stop yet!... Even if the colt dies, the queen is more important!" With that a shockwave went through his body snapping him awake with the newly added pain which was numbed until now hitting him like a train.
'I WILL RIP YOUR FUCKING HEART OUT!'
Dawnbreaker had never been a violent person but tonight he certainly would like to rip and tear this stallion apart. Suddenly he felt something form inside his heart, heat building up as it was slowly spreading to the rest of his body.
"Increase!"
With the newly added weight which felt like it was snapping his neck-
"Increase!"
His blood felt like boiling at this point.
"Increase!"
And that was not the only thing that was boiling.
"Increase!"
With the final wave of increased pain his entire body feeling like it bursted. His mane had started to catch fire with his horn already emitting a glow which was bright enough to light out the entire cave.
'RGGGGGGGGGGHAAAAA' "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
BOOM
An explosion followed as bright as the sun itself, the hooded creatures, lost their focus before turning into dust the second the wave reached them. Despite this there was still the grin plastered on the stallions mouth despite him being ashed a moment later. The entire structure that they were in blasted open revealing a gigantic red sun and a burning forest surrounding them...
In the middle of this inferno laid a colt, with pure orange coat and burning mane and tail. The stone table he laid on, long turned into liquid state.
Dawnbreaker dropped to the ground as all of the pain he had received so far disappeared with only one thing remaining. Rage. He wanted to grab the stallion responsible for this, rip him to shreds and turn his entire body to dus...-
Looking around him his eyes widened at the burning forest, reddened sky and black, almost charcoal like ground.
"Woah..." was all he could get out.
"Woah indeed young one." he heard a voice beside him. A voice which made something snap inside him. Turning to it he saw Daybreaker having one of the brightest smiles she ever had all over her face. Not even waiting a moment he followed his instincts by running up to her being welcomed in one of the motherly hugs he had grown to miss so much...
Weird how much things could change huh?
"My little one, look at you grown to be so powerful, nothing less expected from the son of a goddess." she smiled at her foal. Dawnbreaker didn't answer and instead buried himself deeper into her coat... he wished this moment would never end...
Zip
His ears lowered although he didn't exactly notice. Of fucking course.
"Woah!... this..." a voice came from behind him.
"This... this is so cool!"
"Rainbow!" several voices shouted simultaneously.
A growl escaped his mothers lips as she pressed Dawnbreaker further into her coat.
"You..." she spoke with enough venom which would kill the entire forest, if it wasn't burning. Finally she let go before stepping protectively over him. Looking towards the newcomers he saw several new ponies standing there. 4 Alicorns, 2 ponies without wings or horns, 1 unicorns and 2 pegasus. The last five carrying necklaces with the exception being a crown of some sorts for one of the alicorn.
"Greetings Daybreaker." he instantly recognized the voice.
"Celestia?" he asked stepping out for them to see. Almost everypony gasped at his sight except for the mare in question who, for a moment shut her eyes only to smile sadly at him.
"Yes young one I am here." turning to the others she continued. "We all are."
Dawnbreaker could now finally see their true colors without that stupid bubble coloring his vision. He guessed the heat he emitted was similar to his mother now. Taking this opportunity he gazed upon them with
Celestia being painted in a pure white coat with rainbow mane and tail.
The mare next to her, he soon recognized as none other than Princess Luna, glaring at his mother above him. She, was in a dark blue coat with the same color applying to her mane and tail.
The other two alicorns took a little longer as he did realize one of them was Twilight, the other Cadence but with the similar height making it a little more difficult. As the brighter, pink coated mare however turned to him she gave him the same gentle smile Cadence did so he figured it out soon.
"Umpf." he muffled out as a leg stepped in front of his vision.
"How DARE you show your face and interrupt our first encounter ever since the last week?"
"You know why we are here, we can not let you take over Equestria." Celestia answered.
"Why not? You and your precious sister, your niece and your soon to be heir over there seem to do rather poorly on ruling yourself. Even those reformed knight order is not even the slightest near to what they should be."
"The bearers of the elements aren't knights anymore."
"It does not matter to me. You have become weak with your country being trampled upon by so many foes. I was able to watch all of this from the distance. Enemy after enemy with the recent ones even defeating you so you had to rely on those mortals!"
Dawnbreaker ducked as he heard the pure rage in her voice. He hoped he would never be on the receiving end of that. "And not to mention that you could not even take care OF YOUR OWN SON!" the last part making Dawnbreaker blink. What... hold on does that mean she is... oh...
"I admit... that I should have cared for Dawnbreaker better bu...-"
"Nothing but! You have always been inferior to me all of you were! Your student does not even compare the slightest to our son! It is time that I make this country strong again, become a ruler that ponies respect and to bring the eternal day!"
"Silence you fiend! You have no right to make such demands!"
Dawnbreakers head was in a rollercoaster right now. What the fuck did his mother just say?
"Twilight." Cadences tender voice spoke. "Go and take your friends back to the Crystal Empire."
"What?" the smaller alicorn asked with the remaining ponies staring at her minus the largest alicorns.
"We will not leave you behind!" shouted the cyan colored pegasus.
"Listen, the elements have perhaps worked once, but she spend most of the time at the sun to find magic ways to counter them. I will not have you or any of your friends set in danger. If she should really take over canterlot... submit please."
"B-But Cadence... what abou..."
"Just... tell Shiny I love him and take care of Flurry for me."
The smallest alicorn was stunned for a few moments before she nodded. Cadence was about to pull away before she received a hug by her, followed with the other princesses. Celestia stared down at her apparent 'heir' giving her a sad smile.
"I am sorry Celestia, I found hi...-"
"Don't be, it was my mistake to bring him here." she spoke giving the young one a glare which made him shiver slightly. Seeing this made Daybreaker almost growl. How dare she gaze at her heir like this?
With that he group of six left, leaving only the 4 alicorns and the small unicorn colt behind.
"I surely hope that you have enjoyed your time in Equestria because this will be your last day here!" Daybreaker laughed maniacally making the younger stallion lower himself slightly.
"Not in this life or another tyrant!" Luna countered. With that said the 4 alicorns stormed at each other leaving the youngest behind to watch. While Dawnbreaker thought that his previous antic was strength consuming yet powerful he nearly shat his pants when he saw this display. Spells after spells, Attacks after attacks with each one become more and more monstrous. Was this what he would one day turn into? He couldn't help but watch the grin plastered on his mothers face...
Why was something biting at his consciousness right now? He didn't even know which side of here was the 'good' one.
Finally however the attacks came to an end with the three alicorns laying on the ground and his mother almost unscathed.
"... That was it?" she asked before howling into laughter. "This were the powerful princesses of the sun, night and love? Have you even used half of your strength already?" she grinned at the pony princesses who tried to get up but failed through their injuries.
"Hm I believe I now know the proper punishment for all of you. Your precious kingdoms will burn and upon its ashes like a phoenix a new empire shall rise. The eternal celestial empire, has a nice sound to it no?
"..."
"I love your enthusiasm, now let us continue to you weak willed individuals shall we?" she turned to the two sisters. "You have taken my own child from me, do you not know to never get in between a mother and her foal? I believe I will make an eye for an eye no? You and your sister will be banished to opposite sides of the universe for all of eternity, never to meet one another again.
Lunas eyes almost popped out of their eye sockets as she desperately held onto her sister.
"Now about your my 'niece'" she spat. "For your betrayal against the celestial empire you and your bloodkin shall be punished by death."
Bloodkin... wait does that me...-
"No!" the pink colored mare shouted her eyes widened and filled with tears. "Leave my daughter and husband out of this. Do with me what you want but do not hurt them please!"
"Your begging falls on deaf ears traitor!" she shouted before calming herself, though an almost sadistic grin came to her face. "Finally what to do with the elements of harmony and their bearers..."
"Leave... them..." Celestia managed to get out followed by a harsh cough.
"Hahh... I am not so sure, perhaps with a little more passion?" she grinned.
"..."
"Do you wish for her to die?!" she shouted as her grin went go a glare.
"please..." the princess whispered.
"Could you repeat those words please I didn't quite hear that."
"Please spare them... spare my... spare my Twilight and her friends."
"Something is still missing don't you think?" she spoke as if gaining sick pleasure from this.
…
The glare that followed made the princess glare at her for a moment before she lowered her head in submission.
"... my... empress."
"Hm... now that you speak of it that way... no." as soon as those words left her mouth Celestia tried to jump up only to be held back by Luna. The white mare almost bared her fangs only for her sister to give her a painful but still understanding look. Seeing this, her rage was gone before only something came to her face. Tears. Seeing the princess of the sun lower her head the newly self appointed empress laughed.
"I will enjoy thinking about the insanity that you had gone through... though just for safety." her horn lightened up before rings appeared on the sisters horns. "So you do not try to steal my idea." she grinned as her horn lit up now a lot more powerful, charging her banishment spell.
"Farewell Celestia and thank you for looking after my kingdom for me." the two sisters gripped each others hoofs as if trying to keep holding onto each other. Daybreaker prepared to fire the spell if it weren't for a small factor...
"STOP!" with the loss of her concentration Daybreaker almost lost her composure as she gazed upon who interrupted her in her march of victory. A small ball of burning fluff standing in between her and her eternal victory.
"Dawnbreaker, not now I am securi-"
"No! Wha... What are you doing mother?" he asked her as the mare shivered hearing the despair in his voice combined with the first time he actually called her mother face to face.
Daybreaker tried to keep her mother instincts from taking over at his tearfilled eyes.
"Little one listen to me..."
"No! You never told me of this! You never told me why you were banished, what you were planning to do to the kingdom. That you were planning to bring some sort of eternal day, to kill several innocents and to banish two siblings from one another!"
The remaining mares, despite the state they were in widened their eyes.
"Little one it is necessary fo..."
"For what? An empire? For a dictatorship like the one where I came from? Where my own father was killed for a conflict across the country for 10 FUCKING KILOMETERS?!"
The mare didn't speak as he continued his barrage. "For a oppressive regime which took my own mother from me just because she didn't praise its divine glory for 5 minutes?! For an empire, where ponies are forced to fly through space to help their own siblings medically? To be blown to pieces and send into the sun only to be brought back into a new world? If this is so then I don't want to be YOUR FUCKING SON!"
The mares breath broke just at the same time he broke down too.
"Don't you understand me? I never had freedom, I have lost my family and identity but I didn't care because you were there for me! But now you are straying to a path I can't follow."
"...Little one..." she almost whimpered.
"For fucks sake I love you!" he finally shouted but Daybreaker seemed to have enough. She gave him a glare before her gaze turned to Celestia. She charged her horn again only for the colt to close the distance, trying somehow to stop her-

Okay guys, I first want to say this. I am sorry. Why? Well because the story will end soon. Yup I spoilered it. I just want to tell you this before you went wide eyed and shouted. WHAT IN THE WORLD?!
Yes I am sorry, I am trying to make small steps. I have done longer stories before but... they didn't end well so... yeah. I hope you like it none the less.
For a moment as the sound of a smack filled the air everything became quiet. Only a faint heartbeat could be heard, which Dawnbreaker soon noticed as his own. Despite being in the air he felt nothing, as the world seemed to stop for a moment. He could still see the ragefilled eyes of Daybreaker, until he met the ground falling before Celestia who looked down at him with a face of horror. A faint mark of a hoof still being visible despite the already orange redish coat he carried.
Daybreakers teeth were gritted as she slammed the pest out of the way. Nopony gets in between her and her victo... wait... who did she... Her anger was gone within the moment she realized what just happened.
"D-Dawnbreaker... what... what have I done?" she asked herself stepping closer and trying to reach over to him only for sompony else to interfere.
Celestia looked down at the bruised foal that she just called a few minutes before a mistake to be brought here, the slightly redish mark and a small bloodtrail still on his cheek. She didn't even try to stop her tears of despair, the feelings that she had been holding back ever since he arrived as a meteor, slamming into the everfree forest.
She moved her hoof forward and started to pull him towards her. She couldn't leave him in his mothers grip... not like this.
"Don't you dare!" she heard Daybreakers shriek, who stared at the young colt with her eyes full of tears. Growling the walking campfire turned to her counterpart. Her shock now turned to rage.
"You turned him against me!"
"You have done that yourself." Celestia spoke with a tone that made Cadence shiver beside her, Luna wasn't any better off. Her sister had perfectly recreated the stern tone of their father.
"You will not take him from me!" Daybreaker began to get closer, to get to her child and bring him away from this... thief.
"Your anger and your lust for power have already done that."
Dawnbreaker in the meantime held up to his cheek before slowly getting up. With wobbly feet he almost fell down only to be held by none other than Celestia. Looking up he saw her saddened gaze look into his eyes, her own filled with nothing but regret.
"I am sorry, this is all my fault." he quietly whispered, not only to her but to himself too.
Daybreaker in the meantime was stressed. Seeing her colt next to that mare brought new ways of pain she didn't deem to be possible. That he didn't resist was even worse. Her instincts were now set out to try to kill her, trying to rip her heart into thousand pieces. She couldn't just stay there. She needed to act, try to get her son back. For him to understand, what she meant.
"Little one listen to me, I am bringing peace, freedom, justice and security to our new empire. I am sorry for what just happened bu-..."
"Your new empire." Dawnbreaker corrected her as his cheek continued to sting as he stepped down. These three words stung the mare far more than any weapons ever could, her mother instinct now burning inside her.
"Young one, get out of my way please..."
"I won't. I have been bowing down for far too long. Stood aside when peo... ponies got killed. Watched my own mother die and accepted the fate that the state gave me. I won't do that any longer." with that he stepped closer away from Celestias grip who immediately reached out to him.
"Little one, you can't she will kill you!"
"Then that is what I deserve for bringing her here and killing the planet by eternal fire."
This made Daybreaker snap her attention to the colt. For a few moments she was quiet as the forest burnt to the ground, leaving nothing but ashes scattered everywhere. The mare looked at the colt in front of her, her once so precious foal, who once snuggled into her coat now facing off against her, his horn even if it was perhaps unintentional glowing with power.
"Is this your final decision?" she asked in a tone that he almost didn't recognize. A mix of grief, pain and worry.
Taking a gaze back at the three princesses who now bundled up to a ball he watched over their terrified faces. If they were scared of what is going to happen to them, he didn't know but one thing is for sure. They all knew they were already dead.
Turning forwards he gave his answer. "It is."
Something changed the second he said this. Instead of the gentle smile she normally gave he only saw one thing in her gaze. Rage.
Making her decision her eyes narrowed. "... then... I am sorry for what follows little one."
Hearing this sealed even the slightest bit of hope he had. A small memory came back on where his mother was shot on the wall.
"Only a tyrant deals in absolutes." with that the young colt lowered himself. Celestias eyes widened as she tried to reach for his leg but failed to do so as he stepped closer the empress. Inside of him was a turmoil going on. His child instincts fighting against his still human side. Shaking his head he readied himself.
Turning to her again he began to circle her so the three alicorn were out of reach should any magic blast happen to miss him. Gritting her teeth Daybreakers horn lit up as she released a wave of fire heading straight for the colt, her mother instinct apparently vanished.
Dawnbreaker gazed upon the wave of fire that he saw heading to him. He thought back at his birth mother back at earth. It kind of reminded him of her, both knowing it was a lost cause but still fighting for it. He knew he could never dream to defeat this mare but... its better to die for something you believe in than to be responsible for something you hate right?
"UAGH!" he shouted as the shockwave slammed him against the tree.
That didn't make a heroic death any less painful.
Her voice filled the air.
"I can not believe that you have thrown away all of this just for those... princesses. Look at you, burning with pure power and passion yet fighting for the wrong side... fool."
Gritting his teeth the colts eyeholes lit up on fire as a shockwave of fire was heading for her. The mare grinned as she merely knocked it aside, almost as if relocating the power to... OH FUCK!
"Sister!" Celestia shouted as she casted a shield together with her wounded sibling which prevented the blast from hitting them.
The mare turned back and grinned. "You perhaps have immense power but your body can not effectively use it. Can you not see that it is useless to resist?"
Still laying on the ground Dawnbreaker stood up. "Fuck... you..."
"Ah yes, still resistant to the end, wouldn't expect any less of you."
Using her magic his entire body started to feel constricted before he was lifted into the air. Suddenly his body was being crushed by the magic field making him feel like his rips would burst. Before this however he was thrown backwards slamming through a burning tree effectively breaking it apart, with a burning branch laying on his back immobilizing him.
"Stop it Daybreaker this is your own son!" Cadence shouted from the far back.
The mare looked at the coughing colt, buried beneath all of the wood.
"I have no son."
She grabbed him by the throat leaving him to gasp as she lifted him into the air, his back legs kicking.
"Running short on oxygen now are we?"
Gritting his teeth Dawnbreaker lit up his horn "Never needed any in the first place!" the blast that followed was a little too fast for her to react to. It none the less send her dazed letting him fall to the ground. Grasping to her cheek she winced as stinging came from the region.
"He... he hit... me..." she spoke in pure wonder which then turned to fury before gazing at the colt. He in the meantime was far too occupied trying to sing 'Dumb ways to die'
The mare got closer as she gazed at the colt who tried to get up. Finally on his 4 legs she lowered herself letting her horn glow.
Suddenly his entire body felt energized as his wounds seemed to heal. Gasping in surprise at the warm feeling he saw the glaring visage of Daybreaker.
"I will not be injured by a weak unicorn show me your true power!" she shouted letting the child blink. Before he could react however she slammed him over to the next tree leaving another hoofprint on his cheek.
"Use your pain for your anger, turn your anger into rage and burn your rage into ashes until nothing remains!" she shouted at the colt. Seeing no reaction she growled "I think your mother might even deserve the fate given to her for giving birth to such a weakling."
…
…
…
Something just literally exploded inside his heart. Being slammed into a tree? Alright, being crushed by magic? Alright but this sentence alone started a fire which was beyond quenching at this point. His entire heart felt like it was melting at that point, every bit of restriction every bit of love he felt for the mare... every bit of sympathy gone, burned inside a flame.
His mane flared up into a brighter white flame as he rammed his hoof into her stomach which send her flying near the pony princesses.
Dawnbreaker flew forwards to engage her again noticing how his heart and body became hotter and hotter...
Suddenly however the enormous heatwave became noticeable to the three.
"Sister... this... what is happening?"
"Sister... heat resistant shield NOW!" Celestia shouted as the two collided, revealing a ball of flame.
Looking to the princesses the mare grinned wickedly before turning back to Dawnbreaker.
"Come now you are not getting tired now are you?"
"Of bashing your face in? Never dreamt of it!" he shouted at the mare in question whose grin widened.
...
...
…
"Sis... ter... this..."
"I... know..."
"Aunt... what..."
The three princesses, despite their injured status were now keeping the shield combined as the heat inside the shield started to increase and increase.
"How... could... you... keep... this... shield... for so long around him?!" Cadence shouted out the last bit.
"The... shield was... never... so... hot... inside..."
True to their word, the shield was starting to become a more pure red instead of the orange like it was before. Daybreaker grinned before grabbing the colt and making him see the three struggling mares.
"Look at those weaklings... look at their struggle just because of you. Perhaps I am feeling merciful and I end up just killing all of them." using his head he slammed straight into the maw of Daybreaker and charged up his horn.
"Bolt of you to assume that you are going to get so far!" he replied making her just grin.
Celestias mind began to go wild. She was not prepared for a day like this, but she still couldn't understand. One can not simply 'turn off' their maternal instinct like this. Even she was struggling for twenty five years not to smoother Twilight into submission how is thi...
…
…
No
…
…
Gazing at Daybreaker she saw the mare take a short look at her, her eyes showing nothing but pure satisfaction. Celestia almost whimpered...
Daybreaker had won... she had won even before the battle had started.
"I... can... not,..."
"we... ha..."
"Ce...le...stia?..."
…
…
…
"I am sorry." this made the two mares snap out of it as the shield suddenly went white before bursting and a shockwave of fire started to cover the planet. Stopping at nothing, not the trees, mountains, Ponyville, Canterlot, the Crystal Empire not until it covered all of Equestria. All life as it was once known, has been eradicated.
Dawnbreaker woke up with a jolt, his entire body felt weak, just as if all of his strength had been taken away. Looking down he didn't see the black, ashy ground anymore... it has melted into red lava. Looking around him he saw how the entire landscape had devolved into nothing but molten ground. The princesses nowhere to be seen. Looking down he then found one last reminder of one of them.
A golden tiara with a purple diamond inside.
The one that Celestia carried. With his eyes widening, he stepped closer ignoring the pain in his body. Holding the tiara in his hoof he felt tears flowing down his cheeks.
"Dawnbreaker." he heard somepony speak behind him. "What have you done?" she asked.
"I... I never... she..." he turned to the saddened face of Daybreaker who immediately brought him into an embrace.
"Shhh I know my foal, I know." she rubbed the back of his neck as he broke down while leaning against her. His mind breaking in as his human side lost the final battle. Daybreaker in the meantime stared forward at the golden tiara which was slowly sinking into the molten lava making her smile with satisfaction.
"I... I am... I never want-" he tried to speak in between his whimpers but was soon hushed by the large mare.
"I know my foal, I know." she guided his head to look into her eyes. "But regardless look around you. Everything is destroyed and only because you didn't listen to me." his grip around her got stronger.
"I tried to warn you but you just wouldn't listen, I tried to show you the truth but..." she let out a sigh. "There is nothing we can do anymore, but to wait and until the planet calms itself. Then we can build an empire that is made to last, one that only we two would rule."
"Bu..."
"Dawnbreaker." she spoke much softer. "The illusion of freedom that those ponies so desperately faught for, infected you and caused all of this. Freedom causes chaos, chaos causes destruction. We do not wish to have chaos again do we?" the colt just peeked outside of her grip for a moment before pressing against her again.
"N-No mother."
"You will listen to me from now on won't you?"
"Y-Yes."
"Do you promise me to never rebel against any of my decisions anymore?"
"Yes..."
The mare let a smile come to her lips. 'Finally' she thought with a smile. Leaning down she used her magic to create a crown and a small tiara, which was still made out of molten lava.
"Then, we have a legacy to restore my heir." Looking up the colt never broke contact as he only nodded still with tears in his eyes.
The mare looked up at the gigantic red sun still glowing down at them with a smirk.
Finally she laid down letting the young colt rest against her stomach once again. He followed without any struggle desperately trying to get deeper into her fur, as if trying to escape the guilt he was feeling. His attempts seized after a few minutes leaving her to stroke his mane.
'That is for taking my son from me, Equestria.'

Welp there is the end of the story guys and girls. I hope you liked it. If you were expecting a happy end then I gotta ask ya something. What defines your kind of happy end? One where Daybreaker gets banished? Where both get banished? Where Celestia and Luna are gone like here?
Think about it, would Daybreaker, the mare with a god and superiority complex really allow equestria to be ruled by 2 'inferior' princesses? A mother instinct is a powerful thing yes, but this is a mare that has lost all her sanity, tried to recollect it by taking a soul which she didn't know who it was to raise as her own. The answer is simple:
Perhaps. However not here that much is for sure, because while Daybreaker is an excellent mother, she is still a tyrant and would not let Equestria be unpunished for taking her child from her.
