Gilda never put her bits on the love life, not once being picked from the crowd by any griffon during mating season or holidays centered around love. She was generic, kept to herself, and ran a tight ship with her bakery. For a long time, she was totally okay with that. Having a partner complicated things, so why have one?

Until the letters started. Those wonderfully damning letters.

No return address, no name on the paper, and written in fine sweeping font, a written letter that complimented her in all the right ways. Whoever this was, they knew how she felt on the inside, and for once, hope blossomed in her chest.

Only...Who are they from? Where are they? And why won't they meet her in person? Gilda plans to get to the bottom of this.

And that...That scares the sender more than Gilda knows.
