I added Sonic Heroes for one core reason: I LOVE the song, especially the rock version by NateWantsToBattle.

Chapter 9: A Volcanic Personality

Sonic, Rainbow Dash, and Shadow tracked the Red Ring, which is infused with the emotion of rage, to an active volcano. "How the hell are we gonna survive this?", Shadow asked.

"Either we figure out how to survive lava or we risk everything", Rainbow Dash answered. However, Sonic simply ran into the volcano.

Temperature

It turned out that the volcano was currently at rest. Shadow and Rainbow Dash entered the volcano as well. "Holy shit!", Shadow shouted. The echo bounced around. The Red Ring was in a pool of lava. Sonic reached for it, but it sank as if something pulled it down. The lava started to bubble. Suddenly, a giant hand emerged from the lava. "What the hell is that?!" Another hand emerged as well. A giant fire monster rose to its full height and roared. It slammed its fists down, but the heroes ran. "So much for being at rest!"

"We need to destroy that thing!", Rainbow Dash shouted. Suddenly, an evil cackle was heard. "Thunder Clap." The aforementioned villain flew out of the volcano. "I'll handle Thunder Clap! You two, take care of the monster!" She flew towards the villain and tackled her while Sonic and Shadow fought the monster. It attempted to smash Shadow, but the Ultimate Life-form teleported behind the monster and delivered a hard punch to the monster's head. Unfortunately, the monster wasn't affected by the attack. It spewed lava.

"Holy shit!", Shadow shouted. He and Sonic ran from the monster.

"Overheat, kill them!", Thunder Clap bellowed. The monster, Overheat, chased the hedgehogs while Rainbow Dash and Thunder Clap continued to fight in the air. "You cannot erase the past, Dash! You turned me into this! I am who I am today because of you! You should've..." Rainbow Dash socked Thunder Clap in the face. "AGH!"

"You should learn to keep your mouth shut!", Rainbow Dash retorted. She grabbed the filly and choked her. Thunder Clap then punched Rainbow Dash, releasing her grip. They traded blows in the air.

Rainbow Dash ultimately defeated Thunder Clap by damaging her flight suit. Through the visor, an error message flashed. WARNING. CRITICAL DAMAGE. Thunder Clap fell into the volcano. Rainbow Dash flew off after Overheat. Unbeknownst to her, Thunder Clap survived the fall. Despite her flight suit malfunctioning, she managed to fly off after Rainbow Dash. "Stupid Pegasus..." After a while, the flight suit completely shut down. Scootaloo passed out. All around her, the forest was starting to catch fire because of Overheat. A evil smile touched her face as the chase continued.
