The puppeteer
DEAL!!
Load Full StoryWalking around I admire the empty streets. Well almost empty, there are some people walking their dogs. Loosing interest in them I look forward and try to enjoy my music. That's how my experience with COVID19 is going. Boring. I know but what the hell are all of you doing that's so much better. . .
Don't answer that. Those answers will probably make what I'm doing even more insignificant. Better than being home with all that chaos though. Who knew my brother could do so much damage with an umbrella, a coconut, flex tape, and a handful of butter. Now that's a lot of damage! heheheheheheh . . . . I'm lonely.
Before this quarantine I would have explored all these shops, but now they're all closed. Wait a minute, I think that one's open. Walking up to a small building I see it is indeed open. Walking in I found a compacted convention in here and a good one too! Looking around I see that there is only me and the guy behind the desk. When he noticed me he perked up and scanned me.
After scanning the room for a bit I here him beckon me by name. That set off a red flag. I thought this was someone who saw my awkward teenage years so I scanned him more thoroughly. What was strange about him was that he looked like a stereotypical devil in human skin. Black hair, chiseled body, and of course the black and red suit.
While I walked towards him I mentally cross out another space. That's another one for apocalypse bingo. Yes I know "why would you walk up to him!?!" But let's be honest with ourselves, selling my soul would at least be something to do. While I walked over I notice he pulled out a clipboard with some sort of contract on it. Without a word he hands it over to me. Yes it was indeed a contract but I could not read it.
Signing it without any sort of hesitation, I admit wasn't my smartest move. But it's like a big red button labeled "do not press". Handing it back over to him he seemed rather pleased. When he was finished packing it away we have a little starring contest.
"So what did I sign?" When I asked this he began laughing. While he was busy I quickly typed out my will on my phone just in case.
"I've been watching you for awhile now -" interrupting him I asked the most important question at that moment, "did you see my teenage years." Trying to stay calm I ask this in a even tone.
"Yes" I FUCKING KNEW IT " What you signed was in interest of this pandemic. You see humanity is always entertaining to watch but while this pandemic is going on I need another source of entertainment. Once your on Equus I'll give you more instructions but right now say your good byes. Then pick something to wear and a weapon of your choosing. Lastly choose what your power will be. Choose carefully because these cannot be changed. But you have 20 seconds left so no pressure".
FUCK! Quickly I run back through the shelves. I pick out the two I've been eyeing. But my power was where I drew a blank. Looking around frantically I couldn't see anything I would like.
"Five seconds left!" No! Okay okay okay think what are you good at. What would I have a grasp on already. Then it hit me like a speeding train but I needed to hurry since I was in the back of the shop.
"3 . . . 2 . . .1! Done what did you - wait a minute." He saw the two objects I've grabbed which was a robe and Captain Kuro's claws. Honestly I hoped I can have his speed without that I don't know how useful they would be.

Oh and the thing he had to double take on was what I had for my power. There was a sign on the window of the store and I had to quickly run outside to grab it. What my power will be exactly I don't know but I have some sort of idea on what it could be. But it was luck of the draw which was my strong suit. Focusing back on the guy he was smiling ear to ear and laughing his ass off.
"I had a good feeling about you and I'm glad to see that I was right. But let me ask what power do you think this will give you?"
"Well seeing that you're bored nothing too overpowered. Plus I can't switch my first two choices so someone else would have to use them. So my guess is either to grant others power or making my own help. Am I right?"
"That is some rather sketchy reasoning."
"Well I was gifted with an approximate knowledge of many things."
"Do you even know what those words mean?"
"Well I like to use big words to sound more photosynthesis." There he goes again with his laughing. Wow he looks more excited the longer we talk. But there is one thing I need to do. It may be too late, but I need to try.
"Wait, before I get sent to Equus there are two things I need to ask."
"Hmm, what would that be?"
"Tell my story."
"Really and who should I tell this story to?"
"The people of course. You're the one sending me to this Equus place so just choose a random website."
"Fine. Since there is a bridge between these two worlds I'll post it on Fimfiction."
"What's that?"
"My Little Ponys fan fiction site, since that's where you're going anyway."
"Wait, wait, wait, you're sending me to my little pony! Why didn't you tell me!"
"I did" pulling out the contract he points to a group of scribbly nonsense.
"Right here! It's not even in the fine print."
"Okay and that brings me to my second question. What is in the fine print?"
"When you die you are coming to hell with me but don't worry you'll walk in on the red carpet." Fuck! He WAS the devil. Two out of three's not bad but let's see if I can get three out of three.
"Well what are you waiting for! MY BODY IS READY!"
"Finally some entertainment!" Then with the snap of his fingers I saw nothing but darkness.
