Chapter 1: The Day is Saved
King Sombra cowered in fear as the majestic stallion blasted him into oblivion. The stallion who called himself Jack Box was a green alicorn with bushy and short dark green hair. His left eye had a black pupil and a black spot surrounding it, whilst the right was a normal ocean blue eye. He was the size of a slender Celestia but about a thousand times more powerful! What was most identifiable about him however would have to be his large unchanging blocky grin!
"Oh Sombra, will you ever learn?" Jack asked as he pined the king to the castle's exterior walls. Sombra coughed as he tried to catch his breath.
"Oh great Jack Box, please have mercy!" he said, voice quivering.
"You can do it, Jack!" Screamed Twilight from behind Jack. Twilight was currently one of Jack's six different girlfriends. She was just a normal unicorn, yet something drew her to Jack. Her mind flustered at the thought of Jack, and her heart heated thousands of beats. It must have been love... right? What else could it be?
"Don't you worry Twilight, I always have things under control!" Jack said his catchphrase with a glint in his eyes. Just as he said this, he threw Sombra into the air and charged up his horn. Sombras last thought before oblivion was not the pain, or rage, or even the way Jack never blinked. It was how scared he was. Sombra was scared of what would happen to him on the other side. Then his mind went blank. Permanently.
As usual, Twilight was starstruck at Jack's actions. It felt as if he could do no wrong. His perfect hair and teeth, beautiful figure, and charming personality, his perfection.
"Hay sugar cube" spoke a Southern voice behind Twilight. Twilight jumped as she turnaround to greet the gaze of her friends.
Apple Jack was in the fount, treating the world with her tender smiles. Behind her Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash where arguing over what to get Jack Box for his Birthday next month, and Rarity was telling Fluttershy about the time Jack saved a pitiful group of kittens from a tree whilst earning money to save a nearby orphanage.
"Hay everybody, you just missed it. Jack killed Sombra again and saved the whole of Equestria!"
"WHAT!" Pinkie yelled, causing Rainbow Dash to fall over. "We have to through Jack a party to celebrate!"
"Another Party? For me? You shouldn't have!" All heads turned to the voice terminating from Jack Box's jaw. "Come on girls, you all shouldn't have~" All six hearts began to beat as sweat and blood circulated their faces. This moment, despite how often it cam, always brought the same reactions. "Pinkie, would you be so cool as to make up party for me- Er, us!"
"OKIEDOKIELOKIE" Pinkie shrieked before running off to start decorating Jack's castle with party banners and cakes.
"Pinkie stop!" Rainbow yelled, "Don't show me up in the speed department when Jack's here!" Then, she blasted into the air to 'help' set things up.
"My goodness Jack, what do you see in those two?" Rarity asked. For a second, Jack's eyes went blank before returning to a jolly glow.
"Haha, why ask questions like that? Rainbow is speedy and nimble, and Pinkie is perky and..." a moan emanating from his throat "... Bubbly...! Haha, don't you agree?" As usual, they all shook their heads up and down passionately. "Come let us celebrate!"
Alone at the center of an overgrown garden, a statue waits patiently for its awakening. Soon, very soon, somepony will come and they will awaken him. However, something felt... off to the statue. It felt like his awakening was overdue and delayed.
It was only now it noticed all the grime and mold covering itself and the garden around it. It was clearly abandoned meaning no ponies would be coming by anytime soon. It was at the moment of its realization that it began to call for plans on how to escape its stone based prison. That's when it sensed the possibility for chaos about 200 meters away terminating from one source...
"Yes, Jack?" Twilight answered back, her face turning red.
"Do you mind getting me something from back in the Castile? I've forgotten my book. It's the red one that says 'P.T' on the front."
"YES! I mean, yes I would love to." Twilight replied gleefully before heading towards the Castile. She walked passed the decorated tables and streamers all around with pictures King Sombra crying as Jack blasts him as the theme. Twilight let out a chuckle.
It didn't take long for Twilight to find the book. It was in Jack's dark purple bedroom sitting on a podium overlooking two Stained Glass windows. The one to the left representing the day, whilst the right represented the night. Twilight was tempted to open and read the book but decided against it. After all, it wasn't here's...
Yet she longed to know what was inside. Jack could always be seen writing or reading said book, yet he's never told anypony what was inside. Twilight looked both ways before placing a hoof on the cover and-
Quickly, Twilight snapped out of her delusion and reclosed the book. That was close. She couldn't even begin to imaging how upset Jack would be at the learning his privacy was breached. Twilight carried the book with her magic and walked back outside.
Just a fleeting moment. As Twilight left the room she closed the doors behind her and walked down the empty halls. No guards, no decorations, just what was there when it was built. Twilight was lost in thought thinking about Jack when she tripped.
"Ow", she said. Looking back, she saw the perpetrator; a vine. "Huh? What's this doing here, and where did it sprout from?" looking for the source, Twilight shook her head and walked back to the party, the book held back in her magic. It was gonna be a great week for Twilight.
