It took me a few times before I got it quiet. I slowely openned my eyes and looked up at the time. '7:25' "Perfect." I say as I drag myself out of bed. I feel the cold breeze out of the window on my body as I get the blacket of me. I get off my bed and after a small stretch I leave the room. Having done my own routine I moved on to my little animal friends. Angel was the first one I would check on. He likes special attention from me and I woke up early so not to make the others jelous. But knowing him he would probably brag about it with the other bunnies. But I wouldn't want him throwing another tantrum either. I get to the bunnies and quietly make my way through the still sleeping bunnies. I walk to the bags with fresh vegetables and get some of them out. Mainly, lettuce and tomatoes with some carrot pieces as a taste bonus. It was monday and I like to treat them to something more than just lettuce and tomatoes. I cut it all up into small digestible pieces and put it in small bowl. I used to give it all in one bowl but I found out it was better to have it in smaller ones after one of the baby bunnies didn't get the chance to get any yesterday. I hid the carrot pieces in it and left it on the table to go wake the little bunnies up. I got a small bell from the counter and make a small but audible ring. I saw the heads pop up as they awoke from their slumber. The older bunnies were up quicker than the babies and looked at me waiting for their breakfast. One of them was trying to wake the babies up themselves not wanting to wait. "Patience Angel. You should let them wake up on their own. It's not very nice to shake them awake like that." I said in a calm but strict voice. He looked annoyed but let them wake up. With another small ring of the bell they popped up their heads too and got up. I gave them a smile. "Good morning everybunny." I said putting the bowls on the ground. The bigger bunnies ran to the larger bowls while I lead the smaller ones to their bowls. They gave me a happy squeek before getting at the bowl. I return them a smile and make my way back to the door. Those squeeks never gets old to me. I carefully close the door and leave the bunnies to their food. And after finishing up with the other animals I clear the bowls back up and prepare myself for the next part of the day. Having so much animals isn't easy. Especially when it comes to food. I'm out of carrots and remembered I should probably fill up on some of the letuce and tomatoes because of the baby bunnies. And even though I do it a lot I never look forward to having to get things from the market. Things are always so crowded there and it was always a quest to get to one stand to another trying to get everything I need. I mean, someone like Rainbow Dash wouldn't have this problem. Other ponies make way for her and she knows how to get her way anywhere she goes by using just her words. But I'm not her. I know that. So I just had to go out and hope for the best. I got my saddlebag and after thinking about my stragety I went out there to get what I needed. I leave my house and head out to Ponyvile. My house was on a bit of a mountain so I could see a bit of the market from up here. And from what I saw it was already pretty busy. I just wished it would calm down a little or atleast not get worst once I got there. I walk down to Ponyvile and get to the market. To my dismay it wasn't any better than before. There were some more ponies and the stands I had to get my stuff from had ponies standing in line. They were all 3 or more. I guess Letuce, tomatoes and carrots were popular today. I firstly decide to get carrots because I have none of those anymore. Atleast I still had some letuce and tomatoes at home if I couldn't get my hooves on any of those today. I try my best to get through the crowd of ponies at the market trying my best not to bumb into any of them. I also liked to keep from having eye contact. It would be better to keep a low profile right now. I just needed to get to that stand, get my stuff and then I could leave. I succesfully make my way to the stand and get in line. I made sure to keep my eyes on everything around me while keeping from any eye contact. I didn't want anyone cutting infront of me or a distraction causing that to happen. I had a bad case of that last time but I felt like I was prepared this time. After a small minute I'm infront and pick out a two packs of 5 carrots. I see the cost saying '4 bits' and get the bits needed out of my saddlebag. I put it on the counter and give the pony at the stand a smile. "Two packs of 5 carrots please." My smile fades hearing his next words. "I'll need 5 bits for those." He just gave me a small smile pointing at my 4 bits. I looked at the sign again which clearly said 4. "S-Sorry, I thought it was 4. I saw the sign and-" Before I could continue he spoke again. "That sign means nothing. I say 5, I'll get 5." I could hear the ponies behind me wispering and I just quietly nodded not wanting to cause any drama. "Ok.." I get one more bit out of my bag and put it on the counter. "There." A smile returns on my face as he slides the carrots to me. "Thanks for the purchase. Have a good day." "Same to you sir." I give him a smile before getting the carrots in my saddle bag and leaving the line. I got my check list and checked it off. "Now I just need letuce and tomatoes." I look over to the two stands and see a line of 4 ponies each. I let out a sigh and walk over there. "Just two more." I tell myself walking to the letuce stand. I go stand in the back of the line still keeping an eye on what was going on behind me. I also kept a close eye on the tomato stand I also had to visit later. I saw it was getting less crowded there and got a smile. After a minute or two I'm second in line. I notice the pony infront of me has been looking at two packs of carrots for half a minute now. "Should I take this one or that one.." She says to herself while the pony at the stand just waits for her to make a choice. He notices me behind her. "What do you need?" I looked a bit confussed at him before answering. "I-I think she's first.." "Yea but I'm sure I can get somethin' for ya before she has decided anythin'" He looks back at her. "If you do ever choose anythin' that is." "Just one more minute!" She told him before going back into deep thought. I get a smile and walk forward. "Just a medium pack of letuce plea-" Before I could continue the pony behind me spoke up. "A small pack for me sir." She cut infront of me and gave him the bits. "Thanks miss." He hands her the pack and puts the bits in his counter. "I also have a quick order!" The pony bumbs me aside and the others behind her follow. I attempted to speak up only to get drowned out by the others at the stand. Again I didn't want to cause any drama so I waited behind them until they would finish. "T-That's ok.. I'll just wait here.." After two whole minutes I'm finally infront again. The pony that was infront of me at first also left and I didn't have anypony behind me this time. "A medium pack please." I put the bits on the counter and give him a smile. "One medium pack comin' right up." He gives me the pack and takes the bits. "There ya go. Have a nice day miss." I give him a smile. "Same for you sir." I get the pack and put it in my saddlebag before leaving the stand. Now I only had one more stand to go. I looked out at the stand and saw a familiar pony there. She was infront in line and looked like she was just done. She left the stand and noticed me. "Hey Flutters!" It was Rainbow Dash. She flew up to me with a smile. "What's up?" "Oh hey Rainbow." I didn't expect to see her here so I just gave her a quick smile. "Not much really.. Just getting some groceries like everypony else." "I could've guessed that.." She looked away with a small smile. "So, how's it goin' out here. Any better?" I just let out a sigh. "I really apriciate the 'how to be assertive' lessons but I don't think it's working.. You did nothing wrong of course.. I just can't do it.." The smile faded from her face. "Really? Nothing changed? Nothing at all?" She stopped herself seeying me look away a bit ashamed. "I mean, it's not your fault. Maybe we should just up our game. Try even harder to get your confidence above anything else!" She gave me a determined smile. I shuck my head. "No, it's fine Dash. It was nice of you to try to help but I don't think this is going to work. I just want to survive. And I'm doing that just fine right now." I saw her smile fade. "Fine.." She looked over to the tomato stand which had a lot of ponies now. "Were you getting tomatoes?" I just nodded not knowing what she was planning. But seeying by her face she was deffinetly planning something. "Yea, why?" I was curious to what she was thinking. "Follow me!" She got my hoof and we got in line together. "Our lessons may be over but I can still show you how it's done." She gave me a smile. I returned her a smile seeying the ponies in line look at both of us. "Oh ok.." We stood in line as the ponies 1 by one got their stuff and left. We were in second when the one infront of us started looking frantactly in her bag. "I'm sure I have another bit in here somewhere!" Dash gave me a smile and spoke up. "You got quite the search there. We'll go first. You can look for.. Whatever you're looking for." She got my hoof and we walked infront of her. "Go on Flutters. What do you need." I looked back at the pony who gave me a sign to go on as she kept looking. It suprised me how she would allow that without Dash even asked it. She just stepped infront of her. I looked at the pony at the stand and spoke. "5 tomatoes please." I put the bits on the counter and gave Dash a smile. I got the tomatoes in my bag and after saying good bye to the pony at the stand we got out of line. Dash looked back at me with a smile. "Now, how easy was that?" "Pretty easy.." I looked away. "But that's only because you did it." "And? That doesn't mean you can't do it too. You just have to be more like me. I'm sure I can get something for that." She smiled at herself probably thinking of something. 'Be more like her'? How was I possibly going to do that? "What do you mean? Our lessons didn't work." "You don't NEED those lessons to be awesome. Didn't work with me either. I got something better than even myself to fix you up." She gave me a smile. "What is it?" I was really curious now. "Is it fine if I come over tomorrow? I'll bring it with me. It's going to be awesome!" She sounded really excited about it. I gave her a smile. "Sure." "Awesome!" She got back in the air. "I gotta fly now. See you tomorrow!" She flew off and I made my way back home. I didn't know what she was talking about but seeying from how excited she was about it it must be good. I just hope it didn't end up being a prank or some other joke. And if it did work I could only imagine what it would do. Of course I had always looked up to her and wanted to be like her. Assertive, cool and just good at everything. I would never admit it but if the thing she talked about would really help to me be more like her it would be pretty great. I just looked forward to her visit the next day. The Squip.It was the next day and after finishing up with the animals I prepared for Rainbow Dash's visit. I was pretty excited for her visit and whatever she would bring with her. I couldn't think of anything that could help me more than what she already tried to do. It wasn't like you could just take some pill and become like her. I set up the table with a small blacket and a tea set. I also put small crackers on a small plate as a small extra. I felt the tea was nice and warm and got on my seat to patiently wait for her. After a few minutes I heard a knock on my door. I walked over and openned it to see Rainbow Dash. She had a small shoe box in her hooves and gave me a smile. "Hey Flutters!" I let her in and we got on the couch. "It's nice to see you here Dash." I greeted her. "What did you bring?" She put the box on the table and looked back at me. "It's important I talk to you about something first. Is that alright with you?" Seeying by her face it must be something personal. I gave her a soft smile. "Sure. Whatever it is I'm listening." "Alright.." She let out a sigh and continued. "Do you remember highschool? More specifically, freshmen year?" "Yea.." I remembered that time. It wasn't that great. Bullies everywhere even more than before that, teachers kept pushing us further than we could go, especially for me and all these things combined made things very dark. "It wasn't great.." She shuck her head. "No, not that. Do you remember ME from way back then?" "Uhm.." All I could remember were her being the popular kid in the years after and her pushing me to become the same. "Not from that year.. I do remember you being very popular in the other years." "Exactly!" She looked like she made a point. "You don't remember." She looked down. "No one did. No one noticed me back then. And if they did, they would just ignore me the next day. Ponies didn't bother to know my name until a year later." I didn't know what to say. From how she said it, it did sound true but I could never imagine her being that kind of pony. It did look like it hurt her a lot to remember. "Are you ok..?" I wanted to make sure of that before I could start with any other questions. She looked back up and got a small smile. "Yea.. It's just a really bad memory to remember." I felt save to ask something now. "But why? I can't imagine you as someone like that. I mean, you were the most popular the next three years." "I know, but I didn't do that on my own. I couldn't ever gotten as far as I did if it wasn't for-" She stopped herself and I noticed a small spark in her eyes. "I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's just start at the beginning.." I gave her a small smile letting her continue. "On the first day I was pretty confident about myself and sure it would go well. And it did go pretty well at first. I started making friends and stuff like that and getting a social status. It wasn't long until I decided to tell them about my Sonic Rainboom." She stayed quiet for a bit before continuing. "They didn't believe me.." I heard from her voice it was going to get worse. "What happened..?" "What do you think? They wanted proof. Of course, I only did it once back then and I didn't think I could do it again without lots of practice. It all went down hill from there. They would tell the others about my 'lying' and said I was an attention seeker. And who wants to hang out with someone like that?" She continued after I couldn't get myself to answer. "Aside from you, I was alone at that time. I didn't admit any of it to you because I didn't want you worrying about me. But I hated it. I hate being alone more than anything." "I know that Dash." I continued. "But in the next few years you weren't alone. Did they forget?" She shuck her head. "Of course not. But whenever someone wanted to hangout with me the others would say things like 'don't give her attention' or 'this is what she wants you to do'. It wasn't true of course but it still hurt." I saw she was trying to keep herself from letting out a tear. "I hated myself for mentioning that Sonic Rainboom. Everything wouldn't have happened if I didn't-" She stopped herself and looked away from me breaking eye contact. "Rainbow.." I got closer to her and looked if she was ok. I saw her whipe away a tear or two and look back at me with a forced smile. "Don't worry, I'm fine.." "You don't need to force a smile Dash. If you want to let it out, you can." I tried to tell her still looking at her a bit worried. I never knew she felt like this. I mean, being Rainbow Dash I know she wouldn't tell me about how she felt but still. She looked at me for a bit before I noticed another spark in her eyes. "N-No. Really it's fine. I'm not supposed to cry anyway." She gave me another smile. "Now, time for the good stuff." She got the top off the shoebox and in there was a small grey pill. "What is that? Why did you bring a pill?" "It's not just a pill." She got it out and showed it to me. "This is the pill that made me the most awesome pony in all of Equestria after that first year." I looked confussed at her. "Sorry, what? How can a small pill like that-" She stopped me before I could continue. "This is a top secret, can't look it up anywhere, stuff. I got this from one of the popular ponies back in first year. It's called a Squip. It's from Los Pegasus. It's a gray, oblong pill. Quantum nanotechnology CPU." She just looked at my still confussed face with an excited smile. Whatever came out of her mouth didn't make any sense to me. It was more like something Twilight would say to discribe another one of her inventions. "A what?" "It's like a super computer in a pill with all the information in the world. For present and future events." I noticed another small spark in her eyes but this time it stayed like a small yellow star in her pupil. "The super computer in the pill will travel through your blood until it implants in your brain and it tells you what to do." Althought she looked excited about it, it didn't sound right to me. "Is it save?" "Of course it is! I took it years ago and I'm still standing. And once you do the same, you don't have to think of anything anymore. It will just tell you what to do. All you have to do is listen and obey to what it tells you. Next thing you know, all your problems are no more." She handed it to me. "You have to take it with apple juice. GREEN apple juice." That was a bit specific.. I looked down at the grey pill still not sure. "Are you totally sure about this?" She gave me a quick nod. "120%. I feel like you need that extra help. And if it worked for me it will work for you. You trust me right?" "Of course." I looked down at the pill again still unsure. "But is it ok if I think about for a bit? I'm still not sure.." She looked a bit disapointed but nodded. "I understand. This is a pretty big decision." She got it from me and put it back in the box. "You can keep it. But when you decide to do it, tell me ok?" "I'll do." I got the box and put it on a desk in my room. I got back in the room and saw her getting off the seat. She gave me another smile and I noticed the spark in her eyes was gone now. "It was great seeying you Flutters but I gotta fly. Good luck with the Squip." "It was nice seeying you too Dash." We walked to the door and she walked out and got in the air. "Thanks for the.." I forgot the name of that thing already. "Squip. S Q U I P." She reminded me. "Gotta go now!" She gave me a quick wave before speeding away. I closed the door and walked back inside. I got to my room and got my attention back to the shoebox. I thought about what Rainbow Dash told me for a bit just looking at the box. "Can't look it up anywhere.. A super computer in a pill.. Implants in your brain and tells you what to do.." Those were the few words I could understand and remember. I was pretty sceptical about the first part. Why can't anybody look it up. The question was stuck in my head until I decided to test it. I left my house and made my way to a good friends of mine. I'm sure she would be able to look it up somewhere and maybe give me some more info before I took it. And I know Dash told me it was a top secret thing but I didn't want to take any chances. I just hope she isn't going to be mad at me for this. I got to the Golden Oak Library and knocked on the door. After a few seconds the door openned up and I saw my friend, Twilight. "Oh, hey Fluttershy. I didn't expect anyone today." She let me in. "Sorry for coming unexpected. I just wanted to ask you about something." We got to a small table and sat down together. "What about?" She asked me curious. I knew it was probably a dumb question and sound really weird but I wanted to know if she knew about it. "Do you know what a Squip is?" She looked at me for a bit with a confussed look before responding. "A what?" "A squip. S Q U I P." She just kept looking at me with the same confussed face so I continued. "Dash came over to my house today and brought one with her. She said it would help me be more awesome like her." "Oh.. I don't know what a Squip is.. Why do you want to know?" I sighed and continued. "Dash said it was a super computer inside a pill that implants itself in your brain and tells you what to do. I mean, she didn't say it like that but that's what I was able to make out." She stayed quiet for a bit before answering. "That sounds horrible.. How much did she tell you about it?" I just shrug. "Just that. And that it would help me with whatever problem I had. I thought you may know what it was." "Hmm.." She gets up and walks to her bookshelf. "What did you say it was again?" I remembered what Rainbow said. "Actually, Dash said it was a top secret thing and that you couldn't look it up anywhere." She looked back at me confussed. "What do you mean 'can't look it up anywhere'?? I've never heard of something which information is no where to be seen." She pauzes before continuing. "Also if that was the case why would Dash know about it? No one could've told her so." "Dash said one of her classmates in highschool, freshmen year gave her one and told her about it." I informed her. She still wasn't convinced. "I'm not believing it. If it exist there must be information somewhere." She looked back at the bookshelf. "What was it called again?" "Squip." I stayed quiet letting her search. I sat in my seat for a few minutes with Twilight trying her best to find it. Eventually she let out a sigh and turned back to me. "Nothing. I couldn't find anything close to what you discribed. I can't even find it in the dictionary! And EVERYTHING is in the dictionary!" She sounded a bit frustrated now. "Then she was right.. You can't look it up anywhere." I got off my seat. "I apriciate you wanting to help but I think I'm done here." We walked to the door together and she openned the door for me. "I'm sure I can find something somewhere. I just have to search somewhere else. I'll tell you when I found something ok?" "Sure." I have her a smile and walked out the door. "I'll see you someother time Twilight." "Same." She closed the door and I flew back home. After doing my usual morning routine and checking on the animals I got back to my room where my attention got send back to the shoebox. After thinking about it I made my decision. It would probably take forever for Twilight to find even 1 word about it and Dash said it would be save, so I wanted to take it just to see how it would effect me. If it would even effect me in any way. I remembered Dash's visit and her saying to take it with apple juice. No, green apple juice. I didn't know why it was such a big deal to have that kind of apple juice but if she mentioned it like that it must be important. I got my saddlebag and headed to Sweet Apple Acres. The best place to get any apple product you would ever need. I mostly come there to see Apple Jack but this time I actually had a good reason to be there. I even had the bits with me to buy them. Eventhough I knew Apple Jack would just reject it and let me have it for free. I arrived at Sweet Apple Acres and saw Big Mac and Apple Jack apple bucking and the Cutiemark Crusaders probably trying to get their cutiemarks. I walked into the farm and did a small wave at Apple Jack. She noticed me and waved back. I flew to where she was and gave her a smile. "Hey Apple Jack." "Howdy Fluttershy." She bucked the last few apples into the baskets and looked back at me. "Nice to see ya. What're you here for?" "I just wanted to ask if you have green apple juice." I only realised after I said it how specific I sounded. While she did look a bit confussed due to the specific nature of the request she didn't look bothered. "Of course we do. Ah'm sure ah can get somethin' for ya." We got to the barn and she a couple of green apples from a few boxes and got a blender. While she was cutting the apples we talked. "This is a pretty specific request ya know?" I nodded. "I know.. I need it for something." "For what? Did Angel want a special breakfast again or somethin'?" We both laughed a little at her question. "No, not this time." I realised I didn't really know a good way of explaining it. "I don't really know how to explain it." "That's fine. Not everythin' can be easly explained ah guess." She cut the first the apples and put them in the blender before pressing the button. She did this a few times before she had a few bottles of them. She gave me the bottles and put the started cleaning the table she worked on. "Ah hope that's enough for ya. We still need to get all the apples bucked before the end of the day." I gave her a smile. "More than enough. Thanks AJ." I put the bottles in my saddlebag. "No problem Fluttershy. Good luck with it." I gave her another smile before heading back home. I got back home and enterned my room. I put my bag down and got a bottle out. I put the bottle on my desk and openned the shoebox. I looked at the pill just looking at it for a bit before taking it out. I took a deep breath and looked at it in my hooves. "Let's hope this works.." I put the pill in my mouth and flushed it down the apple juice. When the apple taste wore off I tasted a nice mint tast from the pill. But I didn't feel any different. I took another sip from the apple juice but it didn't change much. I closed the box and put the bottles in the fridge for another time. I sat down on my couch still waiting for the effects. "Maybe it comes later.." I sat there for a bit until I felt a really bad headache coming up. I held my head hoping the pain would end soon. "W-What's going on!?" I asked myself as I felt another shock in my head. "Calibration in process. Please excuse some mild discomfort." I heard a voice echo in my ears as the pain got stronger. "Mild!?" After a few seconds I felt the pain going away. "Calibration complete. Acces procedure initiated." I calmed down a bit and let out a relieved sigh now that the pain was gone. "Discomfort level may increase." I felt another shock through my entire body now that was even more painfull than the last one. I felt my muscles getting stiff and fell on the couch not being able to move. Was this supposed to happen?? If so, why didn't Rainbow tell me about this?? I heard the voice again. "Accessing: Neural memory. Accessing: Muscle memory. Access procedure: Complete." The hurting finally stopped for real now and I slowely got up. I looked up and saw something glitch into my sight. After a few seconds it fully formed into a glitchy looking pony made of blue, black and greys. He kind of looked like the pill but in pony form. I didn't know what to say. "Fluttershy.." He gave me a smile and spoke. "Welcome to your very own Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor, your Squip." I just stayed there quiet for a bit before I got myself to respond. "Y-You're.." I took a small pause before continuing. "The Squip?" "Yes. I just told you that." I just sat there quiet for a bit. "R-Right.." I noticed my animals didn't even react to the new pony in the house. "Can't they see you?" "No. I only exist in your mind but I found it more effective to come in a somewhat physical form. All they see is you having a conversation with yourself. So don't do that. Just talk with me through your mind." "Oh ok.." I decided to try it out. "Can you hear this?" I thought hoping he would respond. "Perfectly clear. This will work out just fine." He walked closer to me looking around me like he was inspecting me. "But I see we have some work to do." "What do yo-" He interupted me. "I see from your memories what your goal was for getting me. And I'm going to help you get to that goal like I promised." He looked back at me. "You want to be assertive right? You want to be seen by others, not ignored. You don't want to be a doormat people step on and trash before leaving. For that you're going to have to do as I say and work hard. Are you up for it?" "O-Of course!" I thought excited before stopping myself. "I-If it's not too much trouble of course.." "Great! Firstly, stop stuttering. You sound stupid and weak to others around you. You're a easy pony to mess with. Keep you voice clear and strict and don't let go until the message is across." He lectured me. I gave him a nod and responded. "Ok. A clear voice. Got it." "Good, Secondly, we need to work on your posture. Stand straight, head up, be proud. And keep that up all day everyday." I tried my best to do what he said. "Like this?" "Perfectly," He got a smile and after a small pause spoke again. "Now that you know the basics we can start with interactions." I remembered I was going to meet up with Rarity and Pinkie at Sugarcube corner today. "How did you know I had somwhere to go?" "I'm in your head Fluttershy. I need to know these things to help you succed. Now, are we going?" "Yea." I noticed him following me. "Will you be following me around like this all the time?" "Not necessary. If you want me to leave I'll come back once you need me. But I can still communicate with you through your mind." "Oh ok. I'd like it if you do that then." "Whatever you like best. Feel free to call me when you need me." He glitched away and I left my house and headed to Sugarcube corner to meet up with my friends. On my way to Sugarcube corner the Squip kept reminding me of what to do and gave me a small shock every time I messed up. It was a bit annoying and I caught some unnecessary attention but he said it was all part of the learning process. I just tried my best not to get shocked and continued my way there. I arrived at Sugercube corner and saw the Squip glitch next to me again. "You're here again?" "I wanted to see the situation with my own scanners. Just act like I'm not there. But I will give you things to follow through out the interaction." "Oh ok. Let's go then." I walked in the door and saw Rarity already at a table with a cup of tea and a small cupcake at her side of the table. She noticed me and I sat down with her. "Hey Rarity. It's so nice to see you." "Same for you darling!" She gave me a smile. I noticed Pinkie was still busy with at the cash register. "Pinkie will join us in a bit." I heard the Squip again. And I can see the two of you are close." I was a bit confussed to why he felt it important to mention that but ok.. "Right.." "I don't mind waiting." I give Pinkie a small wave and turn back to Rarity. "How have you been?" "Just fine darling. I've been working on the new designes for the next season. I want to get them ready so I can send them out early." She explained. "I've looked into a succesful future and I must say, those are some pretty good designs that will get her lots of attention. It's important to keep a good reputation with her." He commented again. "We're friends. I think I already have a good enough reputation with her." I see Pinkie finish up with the last customer and walk to our table. "Hey Rarity, Fluttershy! I'm here!" She quickly got a seat and looked at both of us with a smile. "So, what did I mis?" "Nothing much darling. I was just telling Fluttershy about my new season themed designes." Rarity explained giving her a smile. "Sounds great already! I'm sure they'll be amazing Rarity!" She looks at me. "What about you Fluttershy?'' "Oh, not much really, Just the usual." I say giving her a smile. I see the Squip inspecting Pinkie. "Pinkamena Diana Pie, this pony is extremely popular in all of Ponyvile and other places in Equestria. You have good tastes in friends if I do say so myself." "I don't get why you're telling me this.." I replied while Rarity was discribing her new designs. "If you want ponies to do as you say a good social status is a good way to get to that point. With my advice and added popularity from these friends you're able to make quite a mark." I got snapped out of my conversation by Rarity. "What do you think of it darling?" "Oh no.. I didn't hear her.." "Say it sounds fabulous." Not wanting to sound like I didn't listen just now I did as he said. "That sounds fabulous Rarity!" She gives me a big smile. "I knew you two would love it!" Seeying her smile I get a smile back too. "That was close.. Thanks Squip." "No problem. That's what I'm here for." We continue and spend the rest of the afternoon talking about our own things, with the Squip coming in every now and again to comment on things and tell me stuff. It did feel a bit like he was pushing me around but he said he wanted me to give a good impresion. And it wasn't like he was saying anything mean or wrong. He was just helping. Eventually Rarity had to go and I also had some things to do at home. We said good bye to Pinkie and me and Rarity walked together until we split up at the Carousel Boutique. I was on my way home when I remembered about telling Rainbow Dash once I got the Squip. I figured it wouldn't hurt to pay her a small visit so I decided to fly to her house. Meanwhile the Squip floated next to me. "Switching plans up huh? Way to trick my system." "I'm just going to be seeying a friend of mine. She's the one that gave me.. you. I just realised how weird that sounded. "She wanted to know when I made my decision." He didn't seem to have a problem with it. He actually looked excited to go there. "Wow. I get to meet the reason I'm out. Sound good to me." I gave him a smile and continued my way there. I arrived at her house and knocked on the door. After a few seconds Rainbow Dash openned up. "hey Rainbow." I greeted her with a smile. She looked suprised at me but quickly gave me a smile. "Oh hey Flutters. I didn't expect anyone. Especially not you." "Sorry for coming unexpected but I had time and I wanted to tell you something." She looked curious at me. "What is-" In the middle of her sentence the Squip spoke up. "Up, up, down, down, left, right, A." "Ouch!" It looked she got a shock of some kind and looked back at me with a smile. "You got one!" I realised the Squip did something to let her know. "Yea! I came here to tell you.. And now you know.."I let out a shy laugh. She still looked excited. "This is awesome! So, how is it?" I got a smile. "It's pretty great. I only just got it this morning but still, it already did some pretty great things." "I told you it was awesome! Now, come in! I want to hear all about it!" She got my hoof and got me inside. I quickly aske the Squip a small question. "What did you do?" "I synced with her Squip. You two share a special bond now. It's like, sharing the same wifi but with Squips." "Oh ok then." Dash shut the door behind me and we got on her couch together. I already knew what my first question for her would be. "Can I ask you something?" "Sure, whatever you want to know." After a few seconds of thinking how to ask it I asked. "Is pain at the start.. Normal?" "Oh that.." She gave me a innocent smile. "I forgot to tell you about that.. How bad was it?" "Bad, I mean, he said mild but it was really bad." She nodded in agreement. "Same for me, but that's only once. And you'll get used to a few shocks every day." She was pretty casual about it. The Squip gives me a grin. "You heard her Fluttershy. By the way, if you just do as I say the amount of shocks per day would decrease by about.. 87%." I didn't know how to answer that so I just ignored it and continued my conversation with Rainbow Dash. She talked about her years of using it and I talked about the couple of hours it followed me. We set up a time once a week to meet up and talk about the progress per week and parted ways again. The rest of the day was spend like normal with the Squip keeping me company every once in a while. But after most of the day was over he stayed in my head until I eventually got to bed. "Have some time to recharge your brain ok? We got a big day tomorrow." Upgrade.It wasn't even past 7:00 yet when I felt myself waking up. I looked at the time still half asleep and wanted to sleep again when I felt a shock go through my head. "Rise and shine Fluttershy. Are you going to wake up or do I have to keep shocking you until you do?" I felt another shock and slowely got up. I rubbed my eyes and saw the Squip standing at the side of my bed. "Why did you have to wake me up so early..?" I stretched and got out of bed. "I already prepared a full proof plan for today and I always like to start early. You'll get used to it." I wasn't too happy to be up this early but if he had plans I didn't want to sleep through it. "What kind of plan?" "I downloaded the data for today and created a plan with the perfect outcome. Just do as I say and you'll reach your goal in no time." I gave him a nod and he continued. "Firstly, you need to look presentable. I suggest you do as you normally do and I'll correct you on things." I walked out of the room and entered the bathroom. While I was doing my usual routine the Squip kept telling me how I was doing everything wrong. From brushing my teeth to simply brushing my mane it seemed like I couldn't do anything right. Not to mention that he would shock me everytime I 'messed up'. But I didn't speak up about it. He was just helping. Just in his own way I guess. I finished my morning routine and looked back at the Squip. "Do you mind leaving for a few minutes? I have to tend to my animals and it's easier without any distractions." He simply nodded. "Call me when you need me." He glitched away and I started tending to the animals. He was pretty quiet now. Usualy he would still talk to me atleast a little. But he was completely silent now. It was nice having some peace like that again. But I knew he would probably be aware of what I was thinking so didn't think of it too much. After finishing up with the animals he came back again. "Nice animals you have there. It was entertaining to see you do all of that for a few fluffy bunnies." I was suprised to hear that so I have him a smile. "Oh, it's nothing really. I'm just doing what I'm best at." He also gave me a smile and spoke again. "Now, let's not waste any more time shall we? We have a lot of things to do and I don't want to wait for another minute." "Alright, but you still haven't explained your entire plan to me." "Don't have to. Just do as I say. Now, are we going?" He sounded very impatient so I quickly nodded and walked out the door. "You know, I didn't really have any plans this time. Why do you want us to go out now?" I asked him walking my way down to Ponyvile. "Like I said, I have all the information about today's different outcomes and the one where you stay home isn't that productive. I just want to make some progress." "Okay then, what do you want to do?" "Listen closely okay?" I nodded and let him continue. "Once you enter Ponyvile you will see your friend, Pinkie Pie handing around invitations to her party tomorrow. Once we get to that point just do as I say." "Can't I talk to her myself?" "Look, if you want ponies to take you seriously you need to have a good image for ponies to listen to." It did make some sense. Knowing he can't make me say anything bad I just nodded again. "I'll do that then." "Good, now we're almost there. And remember what I told you about voice and posture." I nodded and entered Ponyvile. As the Squip predicted I saw Pinkie Pie going to every mail box she could find and putting a colourfull letter in there. Eventually she noticed me and happly hopped my way. "Hey Fluttershy!" "Hey Pinkie! Nice to see you." "Ask about the letters." "Why?" "It shows intrest in her. It'll make her happy." I did as he said. "What are all those letters for?" "It's for my party tomorrow! I'm inviting all of Ponyvile! It's going to be the biggest town party ever!" She said excited. "Why else would I have this big bag with enough letters for the whole town?" "Say that you would love to come." "D-Do I have to?" I wasn't too big a fan of big parties. Especially if it was full of ponies I didn't or barely knew. "How do you expect to get a social presence if you're not present at social events?" He did have a point there. I just got a smile and looked back at Pinkie. "I'd love to come." She looked pretty suprised. "Really? You always say you don't like big parties. I mean, it would be great if you're there but I don't want to force you into something you dislike." "I.." I saw the Squip trying to hint at something. It was like a turtle put he did a hand motion above his back. "wanted to try getting out of my shell more?" He gave me a smile and a thumbs up. "That's great! And I Pinkie Promise this is going to be the best party of your life!" She gave me a letter and gave me a small wink. "There's a suprise in there, you'll love it for sure!" She looked at a drawn on watch on her hoof. "I still need to get to 42 houses. I'll see you at the party!" I gave her a smile and waved good bye. "See you there." When she was out of sight I turned back to the Squip. "She looked so happy! Thanks for getting me to say that." "Told you so. Now let's move on with the training and stop standing there. Ponies will think you're crazy." I looked away letting out a shy laugh. "Oh, right.. We continued out small walk through Ponyvile running into multiple situations where I was guided by the Squip. I really felt ponies starting to take me seriously and actually listen to me. No matter now long it may took for them to do so. It felt so easy. All I had to do is do what he said and things would go right. I now got why Rainbow Dash was so excited about giving one to me. The Squip is amazing! Oh yea, and the letter had a pop out card in it with confetti in it. She was right. It was great. After a few weeks of the Squip guiding me through most of my interactions with other ponies, I felt really good about myself. I was more confident, went out more and also attended more parties. I was happy to have the Squip helping me. I just finished tending to my animals today and heading out when I heard a knock on my door. "I didn't expect anyone today.. Squip?" "I'll be honest with you, I think I might have over looked something. Go see who it is. I'll try getting the data." I walked to the door and openned to see Apple Jack. "Oh, hey Apple Jack." "Sorry for comin' like this but I wanted to ask if you've seen Dash anywhere. She was actin' really off last time I saw her and I wanted to see her. I also had something she asked me to give her." She pulled out a bottle of apple juice. Red apple juice. The last time I saw her was at our weekly meeting. "No, I haven't seen her. But maybe you can find her somewhere in town." I looked back at the bottle of apple juice. "Why apple juice?" She just shrugged. "Ah don't know, she came at the farm yesterday lookin' crazy askin' if ah had red apple juice. When I said she'd have to wait a few minutes she went even crazier sayin' she needed it right now. When ah told her to wait again she sped off without sayin' another word. It was really weird.." She let out a small sigh before continuing. "Ah've already been at her house and looked through Ponyvile. There's no sign of her anywhere. Atleast not what ah could find." "Oh.." I was also a bit worried now but I had made plans for today and didn't have the time to look for her. "I don't know anything about that or where she is but I can't look for her right now. But I'm sure you'll find her somewhere." She just shrugged again. "Ah'll try my best to. Ah just hope she's alright. Wherever she is." She looked out at the town and back at me. "Ah'm goin' to ask Rarity if she's seen her." She turned away and made her way back to Ponyvile. "Good luck!" I shouted at her as she left. I got back in and closed the door behind me. I looked back at the Squip. "Do you know where she is?" "How would I know where that pegasus is off to!?" "I thought you had a connection with her Squip?? If that's so, you can find her right?" "I tried. Her Squip is not reachable to me. It's shut off I think." "How is that possible??" "There are a few options, but you may not like them." "Just tell me!" "Right.. One of the reasons could be that she's drunk or had too much of something else. The second option is that she's unconcious or asleep. And of course, the grimmest outcome. Her Squip is still in her head so it must be one of those." I stayed quiet not knowing what to say.. If it was any of those things something could be horribly wrong. "Oh my.." That was all I could say. I got on my couch and started having a mini panic attack right then and there. The Squip noticed. "Hey, calm down! No need to panic! I can still try to get contact. And when I do I'll have her location. Just be more chill!" "Chill!?" I almost scared myself by my sudden outburst. I looked down and apologized. "Sorry for going off like that.. I guess I'm just a bit stressed now.." Before any of us could say anything I heard another knock. "Ugh.. Yet another over look on my part. Sorry 'bout that." "Let's just see who it is." I got back my cool and walked over to the door. I openned it up and saw Twilight. She looked like she had ran all the way here since she was catching her breath. "Twilight?? Are you-" She interupted me with a panicked yell. "I need to tell you something!" She catched her breath. "It's REALLY important!" I stayed quiet for a bit before responding. "Uhm, ok.. What is it?" "Well, I did my research and I found something out about-..." She stopped herself and looked at me serious. "Is it listening too?" "Oh, I think she's talking about me." "Can you leave for just a minute?" "Sure, that gives me more time to connect to my fellow Squip." He glitched away and I looked back at Twilight. "Not anymore. Now, what's wrong?" "So, I did some research about the Squip. I couldn't find it anywhere, not even in the restricted section of the Canterot library! That's weird right??" She took a small pause before continuing. "So, I started asking around and I found a few ponies who told me some things about the Squip." "What did you find?" I asked pretty curious now. "One of the ponies I asked said their brother took a Squip and turned from a nobody to the most popular pony in town." Wow. That sounded pretty great. She noticed my smile and continued. "But do you want to know where they're now?" "Somewhere happy and succesfull?" That was my best quess. It couldn't be anything bad. She responded in a monotone voice. "He's in a mental hospital." Or I could be wrong. "They completely lost it." "W-What??" I didn't get how it could go from so good to bad like that. "Just think about it ok? We're talking about some super computer which is about 10 times better than our current technology. Ponies would talk about it. But no, it's a secret thing." She continued. "Also, if it's so much better than anything else, who made it? And how did it end up in Ponyvile of all places??" It did make some sense. "Right.. But I don't get what that has to do with going crazy." "This is some powerfull technology we're talking about. If it implants itself in your brain like they all said, don't you wonder what it's doing inside you?" Her voice was straighter now and more serious. "No.." I stayed quiet for a bit before replying. "It's only been helpfull to me. When did you find out about this?" "I found it a week or two after you mentioned the Squip to me. But when I tried talking to you, you acted like I was invisible." I looked at her confussed. I haven't seen her ever since I told her about the Squip. I noticed the Squip again. "It's called optic nerve blocking." "What?" "I've been blocking Twilight Sparkle and other distractions from your field of vision." "Why??" "I wanted our training to go flawlessly. No distractions are allowed. And she wouldn't stop trying to talk to you." "Fluttershy?" I looked back at Twilight. "I thought you said he was away?" "He just told me about something. Just tell me why the Squip made him crazy." "The Squip didn't make him crazy!" "Then what do you even-" "He went crazy trying to get it out!" We both got quiet just looking at eachother. Eventually I responded. "I wont have a problem then.." She looked at me in disbelief. "You can't be serious.. You want to keep that thing in your head? If we go now we can still get it-" "And what if I don't want to!?" I accidently yelled at her. "All it had done is help me. I'm not getting rid of it. And Rainbow Dash had told me she had it for years and nothing happened to her!" I already regret saying that. "I'll let you know, I just saw Apple Jack she told me all about how crazy she was yesterday. I wouldn't call that nothing." I didn't know why I felt so mad at her but I wanted to go back inside to just calm down a little. "That's probably nothing. I'm going. Bye Twilight." got back inside and tried to close the door when she stopped me, putting her hoof between the door. "Fluttershy, please just listen to me! I want to help you-" "We'll I don't need it. Just go home." She let go of my door and I closed it. I got back on the couch and saw the Squip again. "That was quite a scene there. I guess the optic nerve block failed while I was using your energy for something else." "Don't mention it.." I remembered about Rainbow Dash. "Have you found her Squip yet?" "Yes. She's save and well and there's nothing to worry about." I let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad to hear that." He thought for a bit before looking back at me. "I should be prepared for other times like this. I can get an upgrade. But only if you allow me to." "An upgrade?" What's he talking about? "With the upgrade I'll be able to find even shutdown Squips. And we can also make progress way faster." It sounded good enough. And even after what Twilight told me I trusted him. "You can upgrade if you want. Unless you need me to do something." He held his hoof out at me. "All you have to do is shake my hoof. It's a sign that both parties are in on it." I looked at his hoof for a bit before shaking it. He already helped me so much the last few weeks. Nothing bad could possibly happen. Pitiful poniesAbout yesterday, turns out I was wrong. Something bad happened. But not to me. But it's really bad.. It was the next day and I was watering my garden when I heard a loud 'boom' sound. It came from Ponyvile and when I looked I saw a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of the town. The houses around the explosion either, got blown away or got heavly damaged. I knew Rainbow Dash could've been the only one to cause it but I couldn't figure out why she would do a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of the town. "Rainbow!?" I put away my watering can and started walking toward the town. "Squip? What's going on?" "She unleashed a Sonic Rainboom and destroyed the town. She's unconcious somewhere now." "But why? Is she ok?" "I don't know why. And don't worry, just a few broken bones and burn damage. I can't say the same about the town tho. She wrecked that place." I got to the town and it looked like a villain invaded Equestria. Houses were burning, the whole town was in ruine, the only good thing was that I didn't see any injured ponies. They probably got away before she got down. I wanted to find Rainbow Dash and see if she was ok. And if she was I wanted one good reason for doing a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of the town. This wasn't right. She wouldn't put others in danger like that. I walked through the ruines that remained of Ponyvile and saw Twilight also checking the town. We made eye contact until I eventually looked away and continued my search. I saw she wanted to talk to me but continued looking instead. Eventually I also bumbed into Apple Jack. "Oh, sorry Apple Jack. I didn't mean to bumb into you." "It's fine." She looked at me worried. "Have you seen Dash? Ah'm gettin' worried 'bout her now." I shuck my head. "No, I'm looking for her too." She let out a sigh with a mix of worry and frustration. "She better have a good reason for doin' this.." We started noticing the fire ponies started blushing the fires in the houses and bushed around the exploded area. I joined Apple Jack and we continued our search. After a minute of two of walking down the explosion path we saw Rainbow Dash passed out against the wall. It looked like she flew into a wall after doing the Rainboom. We already saw a few emergency ponies making sure she was ok. After getting her in the kart they drove off to the hospital. Me and Apple Jack just stood there looking at echother and back at the kart. Atleast until we lost sight of it. "Is she going to be ok..?" I dared asking. "Ah hope so.. It did look like a pretty hard hit.." We saw Twilight catching up to us. "Apple Jack, Fluttershy!" She got to us and saw Rarity and Pinkie were with her. "We saw Dash being put in the cart. Is-" "Is Dashie ok??" Pinkie interupted. "I do surely hope so.. I still can't imagine her even thinking of doing something like this.." Rarity said looking at the effect of the explosion. Apple Jack just shrugged. "We don't know why she did it. But ah just hope she's alright." I tried to keep positive. "I'm sure the nurse ponies will be able fix her up. Atleast I hope so.." It wasn't very effective but I still tried. "All we can do now is wait and hope for the best.." Twilight mentioned. We stayed there to check on the other ponies who ran away before the whole event. After that we just had to go home and hope for the best. Later that day I got the newspaper of the day and saw an article about the event. "Element of loyalty, Rainbow dash, unleashed a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of Ponyvile. Further information on the state of the town and the mare responsible here.." I read. "I hope she's alright.." I still felt nervous about the whole thing. "Atleast she got some publicity from it. Even if it's not the right kind." "Don't say something like that!" I returned to the article and read through it. I let out a sigh of relief seeying what the Squip said earlier was true. "You were right, just some broken bones and burn damage. But I still don't get why she would do something like this." "I talked to her Squip. They had no say in the decision. She did it on their own." "But why?? She would've known what it could do and the damage it could cause. Why would she do it on purpose knowing the consequences??" Unlike usual where he would quickly respond he stayed quiet for a bit before answering. "I don't know why. But you can't worry about that right now. We need to proceed the plan." "But what about Rainbow?" "She'll be fine. She's save in the hospital. And I know something you can do that will boost your reputation to the amount we need to continue making a bigger impression on everypony." "What do you want to do?" I looked out at the town that, wasn't burning anymore but was still being rebuilt. "Ponyvile is still being rebuilt and there are barely any ponies out." "Exactly! Most of those ponies are inside watching the builders. If you catch their attention with something they'll remember it. Especially in a time like this where there isn't anything more intresting for them to watch." He gave me a grin. "You can assist the builders and leave a good impression." I quickly shuck my head not very excited about the idea. "I can't do that! I'm not strong enough to lift any heavy materials and I'm not a professional.. I will probably mess things up.." I felt a shock in my head and the Squips voice got stricter. "Stop talking back at me! You can't just listen to what I tell you and say 'no'. You have to obey! And if you keep doing that we will get a succesfull result. This is one of the most perfect places for you to boost your reputation and I DON'T want you to mess that up!" "Wait.." I realised something. "Did you know this would happen??" "What do you-" "You said you could see into the future right? If that's so we could've prevented this whole mess!" I got a very messed up thought. "You didn't want this to happen.. Did you?" "Of course not.." He didn't sound convincing but he still continued in a harsh tone. "None of that is important now. It happened and we have to use this time to our advantage." I felt another shock but this one was more painfull. "Are we going!?" I didn't want him to hurt me again so I just nodded. "Y-Yea.. I'll do as you say.. Just don't shock me again." "You know what to do to stop it." He gave me a grin and I knew exactly what he was talking about. Thanks to the Squip I was walking into Ponyvile again. It still smelled like a campfire and you could still clearly see the damage on the houses that were near the explosion. When I came to the.. Crime scene.. I saw some buider ponies working on the buidings. They were fixing roofs, walls and the property around them. "Good, now walk up to them." I was still unsure about it. "Do I really have to? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to skip one-" I felt another shock. "What did I tell you about going against me!? You don't! Now go to them and tell them you'll help. Speak like you don't care about your own death." I hessitated a little but after another quick shock I walked forward. "Good, now do as I told you. Proud posture and a clear voice until the message is across." "Right.." I still felt very nervous but felt like I had to keep going. I didn't want to get hurt again or make him upset. He was just helping anyway.. I got to a few builders who were working on one of the buildings and rebuilding the roof that burned off. "H-Hey.." I felt a shock saw the Squip looking at me more strict now. "Hey." They looked at me and one of them spoke. "What are you doing out here. It's saver inside while we're building." "Tell them who you're here. And keep that tone up." "I know. I wanted to see if I could help in any way." I got a nod from the Squip. "Boss?" The builder looked up at probably the leader. The leader was looking through a map and noticed me. "I guess if you really want to.." He looked over to the work. "You can get materials for the roof workers. But you do need to put on a vest, helmet and the other protection in that bag over there." He pointed at one big bag next to him. I got the protection and I started to assist them. I only really brought small materials to the roof if they ran out or needed it but it was actually kind of fun. I also saw some of the ponies in the houses look through their windows at me. It made me feel pretty good knowing I was doing good. Meanwhile the Squip helped me do everything perfectly and didn't let any mistake slide. But those shocks were getting pretty annoying.. I stayed there for a hour or two and finished the roof with them. I said good bye to them before making my way back home. At my trip home the Squip popped up again. "You did great today. Maybe one day we'll get through the day with only 13 shocks." "Thanks. I was just doing what you said." I gave him a smile. Even after what Twilight told me I couldn't see any bad in him. I can't for anybody. He just had good intentions for me. And even the shocks are to achieve something good. "I could see a boost of respect from the ponies in town. Thanks to the progression you made you can do whatever you want for the rest of the day. See it as a prize for doing as I told you to." The smile on my face grew a bit hearing what he said. I can't remember the one time after I got him that he didn't push me around. I looked forward to spending the rest of the day how I wanted to. I arrived back home and did exactly that. While the training kept going it wasn't as easy as the last few times. Ever since Rainbow Dash's accident not many ponies were out and I couldn't really continue with anything. The Squip seemed extremely annoyed by this. "If those ponies aren't going to leave their houses again today I swear to my master chip I'll scream!" "The workers won't allow it. Everypony needs to stay inside." "I can see that!" He looked like he got an idea. "I have an idea but you'll have to do everything I say perfectly." I was getting curious now. "What is it?" "Firstly, you have to go to Rainbow Dash's house." "Why her house? Nopony is allowed in there." I didn't want to break in her house like that. It didn't feel right.. "We just have to get something and then we can leave. And last time I checked there wasn't anyone keeping an eye on it 24/7. It shouldn't be hard getting in there." He explained waiting for me to answer. I wasn't a fan of the idea. "I don't know.. It doesn't feel right to me.." I recieved another shock from him. "Did I ask how you felt about it?" He looked more serious now. "You should've learned by now going against me isn't a good idea." Eventhough I didn't like the idea if I didn't do it he would keep shocking me until I do. So I just nodded. "Ok, I'll do it.." "Great. Now, let's get moving." He got a smile and looked very excited about what we were going to do. All I could do was go along with him. I arrived at her house still feeling doubth. Eversince the incedent no one has been at this house. And you could really notice. The clouds on and around the house were starting to turn grew like rain clouds instead of their usual snow white colour. The door was also half open. She must've left in a hurry of some kind when she last was here. Further was her house not well kept, especially the windows. I got another shock. "Are you going to move or what?" "I.." This didn't feel right.. "I can't do this.. Sorry.." I got another shock and annoyed look from the Squip. "Yes you can. Now, get in there and I can tell you what to get so you can leave." After another shock or two I did as he said and walked to the door. I walked in and saw how messy it was inside. It looked almost like a horror movie. Things looked like they were trown around, other things looked like they fell on the ground and I could even see a broken mirror and a punch in the wall. "Go to the bedroom. What we seek will be there." I didn't respond and just did as he said. I got in and it was even a bigger mess here. But what suprised me the most was a big mug of cider spilled on the ground. I didn't know why she had such large amount of alcohol in one mug but the Squip spoke again before I could think more of it. "See her desk. Bottom shelf." He pointed at one of the desks and I followed him to it. I openned it and saw a simular shoebox to what she gave me. I openned it and saw the box was filled with many small grey oblong pills. It was full of Squip. "What? Why does she have all of these? It's almost enough-" "For the whole town?" He finished what I was going to say with a grin on his face. "Do you know what I'm getting at?" I realised what he was suggesting. "Y-You want me to give this to the whole town??" "Exactly. And I already thought of a way to make that succeed." "But why??" "It will be for the better. Just trust me on this. Now, get out of here." I took the box and left the house. I wasn't planning on actually doing it but I didn't want it to be there out in the open for anyone to take. I got out of the house and started walking away when I heard someone. "Oh, hi fluttershy!" I looked and saw Derpy. "Hey Derpy." She saw my box. "What's that?" "You know what to do." "I'm not giving it to her." "If you won't I will. But that's your choice." "It's nothi-" I got stopped by something and it quickly got replaced by something else. "It's a Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor. A Squip. It helps you with whatever problems you have and you should really try it." I didn't want to say it but I still did. Derpy didn't ask more questions and got one of them. She took it and after a few seconds she spoke again. "It's minty! But I don't feel anything." I felt my voice do it's own thing again. "You have to take it with green apple juice." "Oooh! I have that at home!" She gave me a wave. "Thanks for the mysterious pill Fluttershy! Bye!" I waved good bye as she flew away. I looked back at the Squip who wore a big grin. "You wouldn't do it so I had to." I looked at him for a bit before replying. "I told you I didn't think it was a good idea. I didn't want to give her it! "So you wanted to keep this perfection to yourself? Sounds a bit selfish to me." Now that he said it it did sound like that. After hearing no reply from me he continued. "This will all be worth it. Things are already improving as we speak." I decided to trust him and go home. If things did improve I would notice it tomorrow. I just hoped it would be good and not turn out like it did last time I wanted things to go well.
Just survive.Fluttershy POV 'Ring, ring, ring, rin-' I sleeply press my alarm clock still half asleep. It took me a few times before I got it quiet. I slowely openned my eyes and looked up at the time. '7:25' "Perfect." I say as I drag myself out of bed. I feel the cold breeze out of the window on my body as I get the blacket of me. I get off my bed and after a small stretch I leave the room. Having done my own routine I moved on to my little animal friends. Angel was the first one I would check on. He likes special attention from me and I woke up early so not to make the others jelous. But knowing him he would probably brag about it with the other bunnies. But I wouldn't want him throwing another tantrum either. I get to the bunnies and quietly make my way through the still sleeping bunnies. I walk to the bags with fresh vegetables and get some of them out. Mainly, lettuce and tomatoes with some carrot pieces as a taste bonus. It was monday and I like to treat them to something more than just lettuce and tomatoes. I cut it all up into small digestible pieces and put it in small bowl. I used to give it all in one bowl but I found out it was better to have it in smaller ones after one of the baby bunnies didn't get the chance to get any yesterday. I hid the carrot pieces in it and left it on the table to go wake the little bunnies up. I got a small bell from the counter and make a small but audible ring. I saw the heads pop up as they awoke from their slumber. The older bunnies were up quicker than the babies and looked at me waiting for their breakfast. One of them was trying to wake the babies up themselves not wanting to wait. "Patience Angel. You should let them wake up on their own. It's not very nice to shake them awake like that." I said in a calm but strict voice. He looked annoyed but let them wake up. With another small ring of the bell they popped up their heads too and got up. I gave them a smile. "Good morning everybunny." I said putting the bowls on the ground. The bigger bunnies ran to the larger bowls while I lead the smaller ones to their bowls. They gave me a happy squeek before getting at the bowl. I return them a smile and make my way back to the door. Those squeeks never gets old to me. I carefully close the door and leave the bunnies to their food. And after finishing up with the other animals I clear the bowls back up and prepare myself for the next part of the day. Having so much animals isn't easy. Especially when it comes to food. I'm out of carrots and remembered I should probably fill up on some of the letuce and tomatoes because of the baby bunnies. And even though I do it a lot I never look forward to having to get things from the market. Things are always so crowded there and it was always a quest to get to one stand to another trying to get everything I need. I mean, someone like Rainbow Dash wouldn't have this problem. Other ponies make way for her and she knows how to get her way anywhere she goes by using just her words. But I'm not her. I know that. So I just had to go out and hope for the best. I got my saddlebag and after thinking about my stragety I went out there to get what I needed. I leave my house and head out to Ponyvile. My house was on a bit of a mountain so I could see a bit of the market from up here. And from what I saw it was already pretty busy. I just wished it would calm down a little or atleast not get worst once I got there. I walk down to Ponyvile and get to the market. To my dismay it wasn't any better than before. There were some more ponies and the stands I had to get my stuff from had ponies standing in line. They were all 3 or more. I guess Letuce, tomatoes and carrots were popular today. I firstly decide to get carrots because I have none of those anymore. Atleast I still had some letuce and tomatoes at home if I couldn't get my hooves on any of those today. I try my best to get through the crowd of ponies at the market trying my best not to bumb into any of them. I also liked to keep from having eye contact. It would be better to keep a low profile right now. I just needed to get to that stand, get my stuff and then I could leave. I succesfully make my way to the stand and get in line. I made sure to keep my eyes on everything around me while keeping from any eye contact. I didn't want anyone cutting infront of me or a distraction causing that to happen. I had a bad case of that last time but I felt like I was prepared this time. After a small minute I'm infront and pick out a two packs of 5 carrots. I see the cost saying '4 bits' and get the bits needed out of my saddlebag. I put it on the counter and give the pony at the stand a smile. "Two packs of 5 carrots please." My smile fades hearing his next words. "I'll need 5 bits for those." He just gave me a small smile pointing at my 4 bits. I looked at the sign again which clearly said 4. "S-Sorry, I thought it was 4. I saw the sign and-" Before I could continue he spoke again. "That sign means nothing. I say 5, I'll get 5." I could hear the ponies behind me wispering and I just quietly nodded not wanting to cause any drama. "Ok.." I get one more bit out of my bag and put it on the counter. "There." A smile returns on my face as he slides the carrots to me. "Thanks for the purchase. Have a good day." "Same to you sir." I give him a smile before getting the carrots in my saddle bag and leaving the line. I got my check list and checked it off. "Now I just need letuce and tomatoes." I look over to the two stands and see a line of 4 ponies each. I let out a sigh and walk over there. "Just two more." I tell myself walking to the letuce stand. I go stand in the back of the line still keeping an eye on what was going on behind me. I also kept a close eye on the tomato stand I also had to visit later. I saw it was getting less crowded there and got a smile. After a minute or two I'm second in line. I notice the pony infront of me has been looking at two packs of carrots for half a minute now. "Should I take this one or that one.." She says to herself while the pony at the stand just waits for her to make a choice. He notices me behind her. "What do you need?" I looked a bit confussed at him before answering. "I-I think she's first.." "Yea but I'm sure I can get somethin' for ya before she has decided anythin'" He looks back at her. "If you do ever choose anythin' that is." "Just one more minute!" She told him before going back into deep thought. I get a smile and walk forward. "Just a medium pack of letuce plea-" Before I could continue the pony behind me spoke up. "A small pack for me sir." She cut infront of me and gave him the bits. "Thanks miss." He hands her the pack and puts the bits in his counter. "I also have a quick order!" The pony bumbs me aside and the others behind her follow. I attempted to speak up only to get drowned out by the others at the stand. Again I didn't want to cause any drama so I waited behind them until they would finish. "T-That's ok.. I'll just wait here.." After two whole minutes I'm finally infront again. The pony that was infront of me at first also left and I didn't have anypony behind me this time. "A medium pack please." I put the bits on the counter and give him a smile. "One medium pack comin' right up." He gives me the pack and takes the bits. "There ya go. Have a nice day miss." I give him a smile. "Same for you sir." I get the pack and put it in my saddlebag before leaving the stand. Now I only had one more stand to go. I looked out at the stand and saw a familiar pony there. She was infront in line and looked like she was just done. She left the stand and noticed me. "Hey Flutters!" It was Rainbow Dash. She flew up to me with a smile. "What's up?" "Oh hey Rainbow." I didn't expect to see her here so I just gave her a quick smile. "Not much really.. Just getting some groceries like everypony else." "I could've guessed that.." She looked away with a small smile. "So, how's it goin' out here. Any better?" I just let out a sigh. "I really apriciate the 'how to be assertive' lessons but I don't think it's working.. You did nothing wrong of course.. I just can't do it.." The smile faded from her face. "Really? Nothing changed? Nothing at all?" She stopped herself seeying me look away a bit ashamed. "I mean, it's not your fault. Maybe we should just up our game. Try even harder to get your confidence above anything else!" She gave me a determined smile. I shuck my head. "No, it's fine Dash. It was nice of you to try to help but I don't think this is going to work. I just want to survive. And I'm doing that just fine right now." I saw her smile fade. "Fine.." She looked over to the tomato stand which had a lot of ponies now. "Were you getting tomatoes?" I just nodded not knowing what she was planning. But seeying by her face she was deffinetly planning something. "Yea, why?" I was curious to what she was thinking. "Follow me!" She got my hoof and we got in line together. "Our lessons may be over but I can still show you how it's done." She gave me a smile. I returned her a smile seeying the ponies in line look at both of us. "Oh ok.." We stood in line as the ponies 1 by one got their stuff and left. We were in second when the one infront of us started looking frantactly in her bag. "I'm sure I have another bit in here somewhere!" Dash gave me a smile and spoke up. "You got quite the search there. We'll go first. You can look for.. Whatever you're looking for." She got my hoof and we walked infront of her. "Go on Flutters. What do you need." I looked back at the pony who gave me a sign to go on as she kept looking. It suprised me how she would allow that without Dash even asked it. She just stepped infront of her. I looked at the pony at the stand and spoke. "5 tomatoes please." I put the bits on the counter and gave Dash a smile. I got the tomatoes in my bag and after saying good bye to the pony at the stand we got out of line. Dash looked back at me with a smile. "Now, how easy was that?" "Pretty easy.." I looked away. "But that's only because you did it." "And? That doesn't mean you can't do it too. You just have to be more like me. I'm sure I can get something for that." She smiled at herself probably thinking of something. 'Be more like her'? How was I possibly going to do that? "What do you mean? Our lessons didn't work." "You don't NEED those lessons to be awesome. Didn't work with me either. I got something better than even myself to fix you up." She gave me a smile. "What is it?" I was really curious now. "Is it fine if I come over tomorrow? I'll bring it with me. It's going to be awesome!" She sounded really excited about it. I gave her a smile. "Sure." "Awesome!" She got back in the air. "I gotta fly now. See you tomorrow!" She flew off and I made my way back home. I didn't know what she was talking about but seeying from how excited she was about it it must be good. I just hope it didn't end up being a prank or some other joke. And if it did work I could only imagine what it would do. Of course I had always looked up to her and wanted to be like her. Assertive, cool and just good at everything. I would never admit it but if the thing she talked about would really help to me be more like her it would be pretty great. I just looked forward to her visit the next day.
The Squip.It was the next day and after finishing up with the animals I prepared for Rainbow Dash's visit. I was pretty excited for her visit and whatever she would bring with her. I couldn't think of anything that could help me more than what she already tried to do. It wasn't like you could just take some pill and become like her. I set up the table with a small blacket and a tea set. I also put small crackers on a small plate as a small extra. I felt the tea was nice and warm and got on my seat to patiently wait for her. After a few minutes I heard a knock on my door. I walked over and openned it to see Rainbow Dash. She had a small shoe box in her hooves and gave me a smile. "Hey Flutters!" I let her in and we got on the couch. "It's nice to see you here Dash." I greeted her. "What did you bring?" She put the box on the table and looked back at me. "It's important I talk to you about something first. Is that alright with you?" Seeying by her face it must be something personal. I gave her a soft smile. "Sure. Whatever it is I'm listening." "Alright.." She let out a sigh and continued. "Do you remember highschool? More specifically, freshmen year?" "Yea.." I remembered that time. It wasn't that great. Bullies everywhere even more than before that, teachers kept pushing us further than we could go, especially for me and all these things combined made things very dark. "It wasn't great.." She shuck her head. "No, not that. Do you remember ME from way back then?" "Uhm.." All I could remember were her being the popular kid in the years after and her pushing me to become the same. "Not from that year.. I do remember you being very popular in the other years." "Exactly!" She looked like she made a point. "You don't remember." She looked down. "No one did. No one noticed me back then. And if they did, they would just ignore me the next day. Ponies didn't bother to know my name until a year later." I didn't know what to say. From how she said it, it did sound true but I could never imagine her being that kind of pony. It did look like it hurt her a lot to remember. "Are you ok..?" I wanted to make sure of that before I could start with any other questions. She looked back up and got a small smile. "Yea.. It's just a really bad memory to remember." I felt save to ask something now. "But why? I can't imagine you as someone like that. I mean, you were the most popular the next three years." "I know, but I didn't do that on my own. I couldn't ever gotten as far as I did if it wasn't for-" She stopped herself and I noticed a small spark in her eyes. "I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's just start at the beginning.." I gave her a small smile letting her continue. "On the first day I was pretty confident about myself and sure it would go well. And it did go pretty well at first. I started making friends and stuff like that and getting a social status. It wasn't long until I decided to tell them about my Sonic Rainboom." She stayed quiet for a bit before continuing. "They didn't believe me.." I heard from her voice it was going to get worse. "What happened..?" "What do you think? They wanted proof. Of course, I only did it once back then and I didn't think I could do it again without lots of practice. It all went down hill from there. They would tell the others about my 'lying' and said I was an attention seeker. And who wants to hang out with someone like that?" She continued after I couldn't get myself to answer. "Aside from you, I was alone at that time. I didn't admit any of it to you because I didn't want you worrying about me. But I hated it. I hate being alone more than anything." "I know that Dash." I continued. "But in the next few years you weren't alone. Did they forget?" She shuck her head. "Of course not. But whenever someone wanted to hangout with me the others would say things like 'don't give her attention' or 'this is what she wants you to do'. It wasn't true of course but it still hurt." I saw she was trying to keep herself from letting out a tear. "I hated myself for mentioning that Sonic Rainboom. Everything wouldn't have happened if I didn't-" She stopped herself and looked away from me breaking eye contact. "Rainbow.." I got closer to her and looked if she was ok. I saw her whipe away a tear or two and look back at me with a forced smile. "Don't worry, I'm fine.." "You don't need to force a smile Dash. If you want to let it out, you can." I tried to tell her still looking at her a bit worried. I never knew she felt like this. I mean, being Rainbow Dash I know she wouldn't tell me about how she felt but still. She looked at me for a bit before I noticed another spark in her eyes. "N-No. Really it's fine. I'm not supposed to cry anyway." She gave me another smile. "Now, time for the good stuff." She got the top off the shoebox and in there was a small grey pill. "What is that? Why did you bring a pill?" "It's not just a pill." She got it out and showed it to me. "This is the pill that made me the most awesome pony in all of Equestria after that first year." I looked confussed at her. "Sorry, what? How can a small pill like that-" She stopped me before I could continue. "This is a top secret, can't look it up anywhere, stuff. I got this from one of the popular ponies back in first year. It's called a Squip. It's from Los Pegasus. It's a gray, oblong pill. Quantum nanotechnology CPU." She just looked at my still confussed face with an excited smile. Whatever came out of her mouth didn't make any sense to me. It was more like something Twilight would say to discribe another one of her inventions. "A what?" "It's like a super computer in a pill with all the information in the world. For present and future events." I noticed another small spark in her eyes but this time it stayed like a small yellow star in her pupil. "The super computer in the pill will travel through your blood until it implants in your brain and it tells you what to do." Althought she looked excited about it, it didn't sound right to me. "Is it save?" "Of course it is! I took it years ago and I'm still standing. And once you do the same, you don't have to think of anything anymore. It will just tell you what to do. All you have to do is listen and obey to what it tells you. Next thing you know, all your problems are no more." She handed it to me. "You have to take it with apple juice. GREEN apple juice." That was a bit specific.. I looked down at the grey pill still not sure. "Are you totally sure about this?" She gave me a quick nod. "120%. I feel like you need that extra help. And if it worked for me it will work for you. You trust me right?" "Of course." I looked down at the pill again still unsure. "But is it ok if I think about for a bit? I'm still not sure.." She looked a bit disapointed but nodded. "I understand. This is a pretty big decision." She got it from me and put it back in the box. "You can keep it. But when you decide to do it, tell me ok?" "I'll do." I got the box and put it on a desk in my room. I got back in the room and saw her getting off the seat. She gave me another smile and I noticed the spark in her eyes was gone now. "It was great seeying you Flutters but I gotta fly. Good luck with the Squip." "It was nice seeying you too Dash." We walked to the door and she walked out and got in the air. "Thanks for the.." I forgot the name of that thing already. "Squip. S Q U I P." She reminded me. "Gotta go now!" She gave me a quick wave before speeding away. I closed the door and walked back inside. I got to my room and got my attention back to the shoebox. I thought about what Rainbow Dash told me for a bit just looking at the box. "Can't look it up anywhere.. A super computer in a pill.. Implants in your brain and tells you what to do.." Those were the few words I could understand and remember. I was pretty sceptical about the first part. Why can't anybody look it up. The question was stuck in my head until I decided to test it. I left my house and made my way to a good friends of mine. I'm sure she would be able to look it up somewhere and maybe give me some more info before I took it. And I know Dash told me it was a top secret thing but I didn't want to take any chances. I just hope she isn't going to be mad at me for this. I got to the Golden Oak Library and knocked on the door. After a few seconds the door openned up and I saw my friend, Twilight. "Oh, hey Fluttershy. I didn't expect anyone today." She let me in. "Sorry for coming unexpected. I just wanted to ask you about something." We got to a small table and sat down together. "What about?" She asked me curious. I knew it was probably a dumb question and sound really weird but I wanted to know if she knew about it. "Do you know what a Squip is?" She looked at me for a bit with a confussed look before responding. "A what?" "A squip. S Q U I P." She just kept looking at me with the same confussed face so I continued. "Dash came over to my house today and brought one with her. She said it would help me be more awesome like her." "Oh.. I don't know what a Squip is.. Why do you want to know?" I sighed and continued. "Dash said it was a super computer inside a pill that implants itself in your brain and tells you what to do. I mean, she didn't say it like that but that's what I was able to make out." She stayed quiet for a bit before answering. "That sounds horrible.. How much did she tell you about it?" I just shrug. "Just that. And that it would help me with whatever problem I had. I thought you may know what it was." "Hmm.." She gets up and walks to her bookshelf. "What did you say it was again?" I remembered what Rainbow said. "Actually, Dash said it was a top secret thing and that you couldn't look it up anywhere." She looked back at me confussed. "What do you mean 'can't look it up anywhere'?? I've never heard of something which information is no where to be seen." She pauzes before continuing. "Also if that was the case why would Dash know about it? No one could've told her so." "Dash said one of her classmates in highschool, freshmen year gave her one and told her about it." I informed her. She still wasn't convinced. "I'm not believing it. If it exist there must be information somewhere." She looked back at the bookshelf. "What was it called again?" "Squip." I stayed quiet letting her search. I sat in my seat for a few minutes with Twilight trying her best to find it. Eventually she let out a sigh and turned back to me. "Nothing. I couldn't find anything close to what you discribed. I can't even find it in the dictionary! And EVERYTHING is in the dictionary!" She sounded a bit frustrated now. "Then she was right.. You can't look it up anywhere." I got off my seat. "I apriciate you wanting to help but I think I'm done here." We walked to the door together and she openned the door for me. "I'm sure I can find something somewhere. I just have to search somewhere else. I'll tell you when I found something ok?" "Sure." I have her a smile and walked out the door. "I'll see you someother time Twilight." "Same." She closed the door and I flew back home.
Welcome to your very own Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor, your Squip.'Ring, ring, ring, rin-' It was the next morning and I got out of my bed ready for the next day. After doing my usual morning routine and checking on the animals I got back to my room where my attention got send back to the shoebox. After thinking about it I made my decision. It would probably take forever for Twilight to find even 1 word about it and Dash said it would be save, so I wanted to take it just to see how it would effect me. If it would even effect me in any way. I remembered Dash's visit and her saying to take it with apple juice. No, green apple juice. I didn't know why it was such a big deal to have that kind of apple juice but if she mentioned it like that it must be important. I got my saddlebag and headed to Sweet Apple Acres. The best place to get any apple product you would ever need. I mostly come there to see Apple Jack but this time I actually had a good reason to be there. I even had the bits with me to buy them. Eventhough I knew Apple Jack would just reject it and let me have it for free. I arrived at Sweet Apple Acres and saw Big Mac and Apple Jack apple bucking and the Cutiemark Crusaders probably trying to get their cutiemarks. I walked into the farm and did a small wave at Apple Jack. She noticed me and waved back. I flew to where she was and gave her a smile. "Hey Apple Jack." "Howdy Fluttershy." She bucked the last few apples into the baskets and looked back at me. "Nice to see ya. What're you here for?" "I just wanted to ask if you have green apple juice." I only realised after I said it how specific I sounded. While she did look a bit confussed due to the specific nature of the request she didn't look bothered. "Of course we do. Ah'm sure ah can get somethin' for ya." We got to the barn and she a couple of green apples from a few boxes and got a blender. While she was cutting the apples we talked. "This is a pretty specific request ya know?" I nodded. "I know.. I need it for something." "For what? Did Angel want a special breakfast again or somethin'?" We both laughed a little at her question. "No, not this time." I realised I didn't really know a good way of explaining it. "I don't really know how to explain it." "That's fine. Not everythin' can be easly explained ah guess." She cut the first the apples and put them in the blender before pressing the button. She did this a few times before she had a few bottles of them. She gave me the bottles and put the started cleaning the table she worked on. "Ah hope that's enough for ya. We still need to get all the apples bucked before the end of the day." I gave her a smile. "More than enough. Thanks AJ." I put the bottles in my saddlebag. "No problem Fluttershy. Good luck with it." I gave her another smile before heading back home. I got back home and enterned my room. I put my bag down and got a bottle out. I put the bottle on my desk and openned the shoebox. I looked at the pill just looking at it for a bit before taking it out. I took a deep breath and looked at it in my hooves. "Let's hope this works.." I put the pill in my mouth and flushed it down the apple juice. When the apple taste wore off I tasted a nice mint tast from the pill. But I didn't feel any different. I took another sip from the apple juice but it didn't change much. I closed the box and put the bottles in the fridge for another time. I sat down on my couch still waiting for the effects. "Maybe it comes later.." I sat there for a bit until I felt a really bad headache coming up. I held my head hoping the pain would end soon. "W-What's going on!?" I asked myself as I felt another shock in my head. "Calibration in process. Please excuse some mild discomfort." I heard a voice echo in my ears as the pain got stronger. "Mild!?" After a few seconds I felt the pain going away. "Calibration complete. Acces procedure initiated." I calmed down a bit and let out a relieved sigh now that the pain was gone. "Discomfort level may increase." I felt another shock through my entire body now that was even more painfull than the last one. I felt my muscles getting stiff and fell on the couch not being able to move. Was this supposed to happen?? If so, why didn't Rainbow tell me about this?? I heard the voice again. "Accessing: Neural memory. Accessing: Muscle memory. Access procedure: Complete." The hurting finally stopped for real now and I slowely got up. I looked up and saw something glitch into my sight. After a few seconds it fully formed into a glitchy looking pony made of blue, black and greys. He kind of looked like the pill but in pony form. I didn't know what to say. "Fluttershy.." He gave me a smile and spoke. "Welcome to your very own Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor, your Squip." I just stayed there quiet for a bit before I got myself to respond. "Y-You're.." I took a small pause before continuing. "The Squip?" "Yes. I just told you that." I just sat there quiet for a bit. "R-Right.." I noticed my animals didn't even react to the new pony in the house. "Can't they see you?" "No. I only exist in your mind but I found it more effective to come in a somewhat physical form. All they see is you having a conversation with yourself. So don't do that. Just talk with me through your mind." "Oh ok.." I decided to try it out. "Can you hear this?" I thought hoping he would respond. "Perfectly clear. This will work out just fine." He walked closer to me looking around me like he was inspecting me. "But I see we have some work to do." "What do yo-" He interupted me. "I see from your memories what your goal was for getting me. And I'm going to help you get to that goal like I promised." He looked back at me. "You want to be assertive right? You want to be seen by others, not ignored. You don't want to be a doormat people step on and trash before leaving. For that you're going to have to do as I say and work hard. Are you up for it?" "O-Of course!" I thought excited before stopping myself. "I-If it's not too much trouble of course.." "Great! Firstly, stop stuttering. You sound stupid and weak to others around you. You're a easy pony to mess with. Keep you voice clear and strict and don't let go until the message is across." He lectured me. I gave him a nod and responded. "Ok. A clear voice. Got it." "Good, Secondly, we need to work on your posture. Stand straight, head up, be proud. And keep that up all day everyday." I tried my best to do what he said. "Like this?" "Perfectly," He got a smile and after a small pause spoke again. "Now that you know the basics we can start with interactions." I remembered I was going to meet up with Rarity and Pinkie at Sugarcube corner today. "How did you know I had somwhere to go?" "I'm in your head Fluttershy. I need to know these things to help you succed. Now, are we going?" "Yea." I noticed him following me. "Will you be following me around like this all the time?" "Not necessary. If you want me to leave I'll come back once you need me. But I can still communicate with you through your mind." "Oh ok. I'd like it if you do that then." "Whatever you like best. Feel free to call me when you need me." He glitched away and I left my house and headed to Sugarcube corner to meet up with my friends. On my way to Sugarcube corner the Squip kept reminding me of what to do and gave me a small shock every time I messed up. It was a bit annoying and I caught some unnecessary attention but he said it was all part of the learning process. I just tried my best not to get shocked and continued my way there. I arrived at Sugercube corner and saw the Squip glitch next to me again. "You're here again?" "I wanted to see the situation with my own scanners. Just act like I'm not there. But I will give you things to follow through out the interaction." "Oh ok. Let's go then." I walked in the door and saw Rarity already at a table with a cup of tea and a small cupcake at her side of the table. She noticed me and I sat down with her. "Hey Rarity. It's so nice to see you." "Same for you darling!" She gave me a smile. I noticed Pinkie was still busy with at the cash register. "Pinkie will join us in a bit." I heard the Squip again. "Seeying from your database, your memories, Rarity sounds like a good choice of a friend. She's a popular, loved by many pony. This will be able to boost your social status. And I can see the two of you are close." I was a bit confussed to why he felt it important to mention that but ok.. "Right.." "I don't mind waiting." I give Pinkie a small wave and turn back to Rarity. "How have you been?" "Just fine darling. I've been working on the new designes for the next season. I want to get them ready so I can send them out early." She explained. "I've looked into a succesful future and I must say, those are some pretty good designs that will get her lots of attention. It's important to keep a good reputation with her." He commented again. "We're friends. I think I already have a good enough reputation with her." I see Pinkie finish up with the last customer and walk to our table. "Hey Rarity, Fluttershy! I'm here!" She quickly got a seat and looked at both of us with a smile. "So, what did I mis?" "Nothing much darling. I was just telling Fluttershy about my new season themed designes." Rarity explained giving her a smile. "Sounds great already! I'm sure they'll be amazing Rarity!" She looks at me. "What about you Fluttershy?'' "Oh, not much really, Just the usual." I say giving her a smile. I see the Squip inspecting Pinkie. "Pinkamena Diana Pie, this pony is extremely popular in all of Ponyvile and other places in Equestria. You have good tastes in friends if I do say so myself." "I don't get why you're telling me this.." I replied while Rarity was discribing her new designs. "If you want ponies to do as you say a good social status is a good way to get to that point. With my advice and added popularity from these friends you're able to make quite a mark." I got snapped out of my conversation by Rarity. "What do you think of it darling?" "Oh no.. I didn't hear her.." "Say it sounds fabulous." Not wanting to sound like I didn't listen just now I did as he said. "That sounds fabulous Rarity!" She gives me a big smile. "I knew you two would love it!" Seeying her smile I get a smile back too. "That was close.. Thanks Squip." "No problem. That's what I'm here for." We continue and spend the rest of the afternoon talking about our own things, with the Squip coming in every now and again to comment on things and tell me stuff. It did feel a bit like he was pushing me around but he said he wanted me to give a good impresion. And it wasn't like he was saying anything mean or wrong. He was just helping. Eventually Rarity had to go and I also had some things to do at home. We said good bye to Pinkie and me and Rarity walked together until we split up at the Carousel Boutique. I was on my way home when I remembered about telling Rainbow Dash once I got the Squip. I figured it wouldn't hurt to pay her a small visit so I decided to fly to her house. Meanwhile the Squip floated next to me. "Switching plans up huh? Way to trick my system." "I'm just going to be seeying a friend of mine. She's the one that gave me.. you. I just realised how weird that sounded. "She wanted to know when I made my decision." He didn't seem to have a problem with it. He actually looked excited to go there. "Wow. I get to meet the reason I'm out. Sound good to me." I gave him a smile and continued my way there. I arrived at her house and knocked on the door. After a few seconds Rainbow Dash openned up. "hey Rainbow." I greeted her with a smile. She looked suprised at me but quickly gave me a smile. "Oh hey Flutters. I didn't expect anyone. Especially not you." "Sorry for coming unexpected but I had time and I wanted to tell you something." She looked curious at me. "What is-" In the middle of her sentence the Squip spoke up. "Up, up, down, down, left, right, A." "Ouch!" It looked she got a shock of some kind and looked back at me with a smile. "You got one!" I realised the Squip did something to let her know. "Yea! I came here to tell you.. And now you know.."I let out a shy laugh. She still looked excited. "This is awesome! So, how is it?" I got a smile. "It's pretty great. I only just got it this morning but still, it already did some pretty great things." "I told you it was awesome! Now, come in! I want to hear all about it!" She got my hoof and got me inside. I quickly aske the Squip a small question. "What did you do?" "I synced with her Squip. You two share a special bond now. It's like, sharing the same wifi but with Squips." "Oh ok then." Dash shut the door behind me and we got on her couch together. I already knew what my first question for her would be. "Can I ask you something?" "Sure, whatever you want to know." After a few seconds of thinking how to ask it I asked. "Is pain at the start.. Normal?" "Oh that.." She gave me a innocent smile. "I forgot to tell you about that.. How bad was it?" "Bad, I mean, he said mild but it was really bad." She nodded in agreement. "Same for me, but that's only once. And you'll get used to a few shocks every day." She was pretty casual about it. The Squip gives me a grin. "You heard her Fluttershy. By the way, if you just do as I say the amount of shocks per day would decrease by about.. 87%." I didn't know how to answer that so I just ignored it and continued my conversation with Rainbow Dash. She talked about her years of using it and I talked about the couple of hours it followed me. We set up a time once a week to meet up and talk about the progress per week and parted ways again. The rest of the day was spend like normal with the Squip keeping me company every once in a while. But after most of the day was over he stayed in my head until I eventually got to bed. "Have some time to recharge your brain ok? We got a big day tomorrow."
Upgrade.It wasn't even past 7:00 yet when I felt myself waking up. I looked at the time still half asleep and wanted to sleep again when I felt a shock go through my head. "Rise and shine Fluttershy. Are you going to wake up or do I have to keep shocking you until you do?" I felt another shock and slowely got up. I rubbed my eyes and saw the Squip standing at the side of my bed. "Why did you have to wake me up so early..?" I stretched and got out of bed. "I already prepared a full proof plan for today and I always like to start early. You'll get used to it." I wasn't too happy to be up this early but if he had plans I didn't want to sleep through it. "What kind of plan?" "I downloaded the data for today and created a plan with the perfect outcome. Just do as I say and you'll reach your goal in no time." I gave him a nod and he continued. "Firstly, you need to look presentable. I suggest you do as you normally do and I'll correct you on things." I walked out of the room and entered the bathroom. While I was doing my usual routine the Squip kept telling me how I was doing everything wrong. From brushing my teeth to simply brushing my mane it seemed like I couldn't do anything right. Not to mention that he would shock me everytime I 'messed up'. But I didn't speak up about it. He was just helping. Just in his own way I guess. I finished my morning routine and looked back at the Squip. "Do you mind leaving for a few minutes? I have to tend to my animals and it's easier without any distractions." He simply nodded. "Call me when you need me." He glitched away and I started tending to the animals. He was pretty quiet now. Usualy he would still talk to me atleast a little. But he was completely silent now. It was nice having some peace like that again. But I knew he would probably be aware of what I was thinking so didn't think of it too much. After finishing up with the animals he came back again. "Nice animals you have there. It was entertaining to see you do all of that for a few fluffy bunnies." I was suprised to hear that so I have him a smile. "Oh, it's nothing really. I'm just doing what I'm best at." He also gave me a smile and spoke again. "Now, let's not waste any more time shall we? We have a lot of things to do and I don't want to wait for another minute." "Alright, but you still haven't explained your entire plan to me." "Don't have to. Just do as I say. Now, are we going?" He sounded very impatient so I quickly nodded and walked out the door. "You know, I didn't really have any plans this time. Why do you want us to go out now?" I asked him walking my way down to Ponyvile. "Like I said, I have all the information about today's different outcomes and the one where you stay home isn't that productive. I just want to make some progress." "Okay then, what do you want to do?" "Listen closely okay?" I nodded and let him continue. "Once you enter Ponyvile you will see your friend, Pinkie Pie handing around invitations to her party tomorrow. Once we get to that point just do as I say." "Can't I talk to her myself?" "Look, if you want ponies to take you seriously you need to have a good image for ponies to listen to." It did make some sense. Knowing he can't make me say anything bad I just nodded again. "I'll do that then." "Good, now we're almost there. And remember what I told you about voice and posture." I nodded and entered Ponyvile. As the Squip predicted I saw Pinkie Pie going to every mail box she could find and putting a colourfull letter in there. Eventually she noticed me and happly hopped my way. "Hey Fluttershy!" "Hey Pinkie! Nice to see you." "Ask about the letters." "Why?" "It shows intrest in her. It'll make her happy." I did as he said. "What are all those letters for?" "It's for my party tomorrow! I'm inviting all of Ponyvile! It's going to be the biggest town party ever!" She said excited. "Why else would I have this big bag with enough letters for the whole town?" "Say that you would love to come." "D-Do I have to?" I wasn't too big a fan of big parties. Especially if it was full of ponies I didn't or barely knew. "How do you expect to get a social presence if you're not present at social events?" He did have a point there. I just got a smile and looked back at Pinkie. "I'd love to come." She looked pretty suprised. "Really? You always say you don't like big parties. I mean, it would be great if you're there but I don't want to force you into something you dislike." "I.." I saw the Squip trying to hint at something. It was like a turtle put he did a hand motion above his back. "wanted to try getting out of my shell more?" He gave me a smile and a thumbs up. "That's great! And I Pinkie Promise this is going to be the best party of your life!" She gave me a letter and gave me a small wink. "There's a suprise in there, you'll love it for sure!" She looked at a drawn on watch on her hoof. "I still need to get to 42 houses. I'll see you at the party!" I gave her a smile and waved good bye. "See you there." When she was out of sight I turned back to the Squip. "She looked so happy! Thanks for getting me to say that." "Told you so. Now let's move on with the training and stop standing there. Ponies will think you're crazy." I looked away letting out a shy laugh. "Oh, right.. We continued out small walk through Ponyvile running into multiple situations where I was guided by the Squip. I really felt ponies starting to take me seriously and actually listen to me. No matter now long it may took for them to do so. It felt so easy. All I had to do is do what he said and things would go right. I now got why Rainbow Dash was so excited about giving one to me. The Squip is amazing! Oh yea, and the letter had a pop out card in it with confetti in it. She was right. It was great. After a few weeks of the Squip guiding me through most of my interactions with other ponies, I felt really good about myself. I was more confident, went out more and also attended more parties. I was happy to have the Squip helping me. I just finished tending to my animals today and heading out when I heard a knock on my door. "I didn't expect anyone today.. Squip?" "I'll be honest with you, I think I might have over looked something. Go see who it is. I'll try getting the data." I walked to the door and openned to see Apple Jack. "Oh, hey Apple Jack." "Sorry for comin' like this but I wanted to ask if you've seen Dash anywhere. She was actin' really off last time I saw her and I wanted to see her. I also had something she asked me to give her." She pulled out a bottle of apple juice. Red apple juice. The last time I saw her was at our weekly meeting. "No, I haven't seen her. But maybe you can find her somewhere in town." I looked back at the bottle of apple juice. "Why apple juice?" She just shrugged. "Ah don't know, she came at the farm yesterday lookin' crazy askin' if ah had red apple juice. When I said she'd have to wait a few minutes she went even crazier sayin' she needed it right now. When ah told her to wait again she sped off without sayin' another word. It was really weird.." She let out a small sigh before continuing. "Ah've already been at her house and looked through Ponyvile. There's no sign of her anywhere. Atleast not what ah could find." "Oh.." I was also a bit worried now but I had made plans for today and didn't have the time to look for her. "I don't know anything about that or where she is but I can't look for her right now. But I'm sure you'll find her somewhere." She just shrugged again. "Ah'll try my best to. Ah just hope she's alright. Wherever she is." She looked out at the town and back at me. "Ah'm goin' to ask Rarity if she's seen her." She turned away and made her way back to Ponyvile. "Good luck!" I shouted at her as she left. I got back in and closed the door behind me. I looked back at the Squip. "Do you know where she is?" "How would I know where that pegasus is off to!?" "I thought you had a connection with her Squip?? If that's so, you can find her right?" "I tried. Her Squip is not reachable to me. It's shut off I think." "How is that possible??" "There are a few options, but you may not like them." "Just tell me!" "Right.. One of the reasons could be that she's drunk or had too much of something else. The second option is that she's unconcious or asleep. And of course, the grimmest outcome. Her Squip is still in her head so it must be one of those." I stayed quiet not knowing what to say.. If it was any of those things something could be horribly wrong. "Oh my.." That was all I could say. I got on my couch and started having a mini panic attack right then and there. The Squip noticed. "Hey, calm down! No need to panic! I can still try to get contact. And when I do I'll have her location. Just be more chill!" "Chill!?" I almost scared myself by my sudden outburst. I looked down and apologized. "Sorry for going off like that.. I guess I'm just a bit stressed now.." Before any of us could say anything I heard another knock. "Ugh.. Yet another over look on my part. Sorry 'bout that." "Let's just see who it is." I got back my cool and walked over to the door. I openned it up and saw Twilight. She looked like she had ran all the way here since she was catching her breath. "Twilight?? Are you-" She interupted me with a panicked yell. "I need to tell you something!" She catched her breath. "It's REALLY important!" I stayed quiet for a bit before responding. "Uhm, ok.. What is it?" "Well, I did my research and I found something out about-..." She stopped herself and looked at me serious. "Is it listening too?" "Oh, I think she's talking about me." "Can you leave for just a minute?" "Sure, that gives me more time to connect to my fellow Squip." He glitched away and I looked back at Twilight. "Not anymore. Now, what's wrong?" "So, I did some research about the Squip. I couldn't find it anywhere, not even in the restricted section of the Canterot library! That's weird right??" She took a small pause before continuing. "So, I started asking around and I found a few ponies who told me some things about the Squip." "What did you find?" I asked pretty curious now. "One of the ponies I asked said their brother took a Squip and turned from a nobody to the most popular pony in town." Wow. That sounded pretty great. She noticed my smile and continued. "But do you want to know where they're now?" "Somewhere happy and succesfull?" That was my best quess. It couldn't be anything bad. She responded in a monotone voice. "He's in a mental hospital." Or I could be wrong. "They completely lost it." "W-What??" I didn't get how it could go from so good to bad like that. "Just think about it ok? We're talking about some super computer which is about 10 times better than our current technology. Ponies would talk about it. But no, it's a secret thing." She continued. "Also, if it's so much better than anything else, who made it? And how did it end up in Ponyvile of all places??" It did make some sense. "Right.. But I don't get what that has to do with going crazy." "This is some powerfull technology we're talking about. If it implants itself in your brain like they all said, don't you wonder what it's doing inside you?" Her voice was straighter now and more serious. "No.." I stayed quiet for a bit before replying. "It's only been helpfull to me. When did you find out about this?" "I found it a week or two after you mentioned the Squip to me. But when I tried talking to you, you acted like I was invisible." I looked at her confussed. I haven't seen her ever since I told her about the Squip. I noticed the Squip again. "It's called optic nerve blocking." "What?" "I've been blocking Twilight Sparkle and other distractions from your field of vision." "Why??" "I wanted our training to go flawlessly. No distractions are allowed. And she wouldn't stop trying to talk to you." "Fluttershy?" I looked back at Twilight. "I thought you said he was away?" "He just told me about something. Just tell me why the Squip made him crazy." "The Squip didn't make him crazy!" "Then what do you even-" "He went crazy trying to get it out!" We both got quiet just looking at eachother. Eventually I responded. "I wont have a problem then.." She looked at me in disbelief. "You can't be serious.. You want to keep that thing in your head? If we go now we can still get it-" "And what if I don't want to!?" I accidently yelled at her. "All it had done is help me. I'm not getting rid of it. And Rainbow Dash had told me she had it for years and nothing happened to her!" I already regret saying that. "I'll let you know, I just saw Apple Jack she told me all about how crazy she was yesterday. I wouldn't call that nothing." I didn't know why I felt so mad at her but I wanted to go back inside to just calm down a little. "That's probably nothing. I'm going. Bye Twilight." got back inside and tried to close the door when she stopped me, putting her hoof between the door. "Fluttershy, please just listen to me! I want to help you-" "We'll I don't need it. Just go home." She let go of my door and I closed it. I got back on the couch and saw the Squip again. "That was quite a scene there. I guess the optic nerve block failed while I was using your energy for something else." "Don't mention it.." I remembered about Rainbow Dash. "Have you found her Squip yet?" "Yes. She's save and well and there's nothing to worry about." I let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad to hear that." He thought for a bit before looking back at me. "I should be prepared for other times like this. I can get an upgrade. But only if you allow me to." "An upgrade?" What's he talking about? "With the upgrade I'll be able to find even shutdown Squips. And we can also make progress way faster." It sounded good enough. And even after what Twilight told me I trusted him. "You can upgrade if you want. Unless you need me to do something." He held his hoof out at me. "All you have to do is shake my hoof. It's a sign that both parties are in on it." I looked at his hoof for a bit before shaking it. He already helped me so much the last few weeks. Nothing bad could possibly happen.
Pitiful poniesAbout yesterday, turns out I was wrong. Something bad happened. But not to me. But it's really bad.. It was the next day and I was watering my garden when I heard a loud 'boom' sound. It came from Ponyvile and when I looked I saw a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of the town. The houses around the explosion either, got blown away or got heavly damaged. I knew Rainbow Dash could've been the only one to cause it but I couldn't figure out why she would do a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of the town. "Rainbow!?" I put away my watering can and started walking toward the town. "Squip? What's going on?" "She unleashed a Sonic Rainboom and destroyed the town. She's unconcious somewhere now." "But why? Is she ok?" "I don't know why. And don't worry, just a few broken bones and burn damage. I can't say the same about the town tho. She wrecked that place." I got to the town and it looked like a villain invaded Equestria. Houses were burning, the whole town was in ruine, the only good thing was that I didn't see any injured ponies. They probably got away before she got down. I wanted to find Rainbow Dash and see if she was ok. And if she was I wanted one good reason for doing a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of the town. This wasn't right. She wouldn't put others in danger like that. I walked through the ruines that remained of Ponyvile and saw Twilight also checking the town. We made eye contact until I eventually looked away and continued my search. I saw she wanted to talk to me but continued looking instead. Eventually I also bumbed into Apple Jack. "Oh, sorry Apple Jack. I didn't mean to bumb into you." "It's fine." She looked at me worried. "Have you seen Dash? Ah'm gettin' worried 'bout her now." I shuck my head. "No, I'm looking for her too." She let out a sigh with a mix of worry and frustration. "She better have a good reason for doin' this.." We started noticing the fire ponies started blushing the fires in the houses and bushed around the exploded area. I joined Apple Jack and we continued our search. After a minute of two of walking down the explosion path we saw Rainbow Dash passed out against the wall. It looked like she flew into a wall after doing the Rainboom. We already saw a few emergency ponies making sure she was ok. After getting her in the kart they drove off to the hospital. Me and Apple Jack just stood there looking at echother and back at the kart. Atleast until we lost sight of it. "Is she going to be ok..?" I dared asking. "Ah hope so.. It did look like a pretty hard hit.." We saw Twilight catching up to us. "Apple Jack, Fluttershy!" She got to us and saw Rarity and Pinkie were with her. "We saw Dash being put in the cart. Is-" "Is Dashie ok??" Pinkie interupted. "I do surely hope so.. I still can't imagine her even thinking of doing something like this.." Rarity said looking at the effect of the explosion. Apple Jack just shrugged. "We don't know why she did it. But ah just hope she's alright." I tried to keep positive. "I'm sure the nurse ponies will be able fix her up. Atleast I hope so.." It wasn't very effective but I still tried. "All we can do now is wait and hope for the best.." Twilight mentioned. We stayed there to check on the other ponies who ran away before the whole event. After that we just had to go home and hope for the best. Later that day I got the newspaper of the day and saw an article about the event. "Element of loyalty, Rainbow dash, unleashed a Sonic Rainboom in the middle of Ponyvile. Further information on the state of the town and the mare responsible here.." I read. "I hope she's alright.." I still felt nervous about the whole thing. "Atleast she got some publicity from it. Even if it's not the right kind." "Don't say something like that!" I returned to the article and read through it. I let out a sigh of relief seeying what the Squip said earlier was true. "You were right, just some broken bones and burn damage. But I still don't get why she would do something like this." "I talked to her Squip. They had no say in the decision. She did it on their own." "But why?? She would've known what it could do and the damage it could cause. Why would she do it on purpose knowing the consequences??" Unlike usual where he would quickly respond he stayed quiet for a bit before answering. "I don't know why. But you can't worry about that right now. We need to proceed the plan." "But what about Rainbow?" "She'll be fine. She's save in the hospital. And I know something you can do that will boost your reputation to the amount we need to continue making a bigger impression on everypony." "What do you want to do?" I looked out at the town that, wasn't burning anymore but was still being rebuilt. "Ponyvile is still being rebuilt and there are barely any ponies out." "Exactly! Most of those ponies are inside watching the builders. If you catch their attention with something they'll remember it. Especially in a time like this where there isn't anything more intresting for them to watch." He gave me a grin. "You can assist the builders and leave a good impression." I quickly shuck my head not very excited about the idea. "I can't do that! I'm not strong enough to lift any heavy materials and I'm not a professional.. I will probably mess things up.." I felt a shock in my head and the Squips voice got stricter. "Stop talking back at me! You can't just listen to what I tell you and say 'no'. You have to obey! And if you keep doing that we will get a succesfull result. This is one of the most perfect places for you to boost your reputation and I DON'T want you to mess that up!" "Wait.." I realised something. "Did you know this would happen??" "What do you-" "You said you could see into the future right? If that's so we could've prevented this whole mess!" I got a very messed up thought. "You didn't want this to happen.. Did you?" "Of course not.." He didn't sound convincing but he still continued in a harsh tone. "None of that is important now. It happened and we have to use this time to our advantage." I felt another shock but this one was more painfull. "Are we going!?" I didn't want him to hurt me again so I just nodded. "Y-Yea.. I'll do as you say.. Just don't shock me again." "You know what to do to stop it." He gave me a grin and I knew exactly what he was talking about. Thanks to the Squip I was walking into Ponyvile again. It still smelled like a campfire and you could still clearly see the damage on the houses that were near the explosion. When I came to the.. Crime scene.. I saw some buider ponies working on the buidings. They were fixing roofs, walls and the property around them. "Good, now walk up to them." I was still unsure about it. "Do I really have to? I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to skip one-" I felt another shock. "What did I tell you about going against me!? You don't! Now go to them and tell them you'll help. Speak like you don't care about your own death." I hessitated a little but after another quick shock I walked forward. "Good, now do as I told you. He was just helping anyway.. I got to a few builders who were working on one of the buildings and rebuilding the roof that burned off. "H-Hey.." I felt a shock saw the Squip looking at me more strict now. "Hey." They looked at me and one of them spoke. "What are you doing out here. It's saver inside while we're building." "Tell them who you're here. And keep that tone up." "I know. I wanted to see if I could help in any way." I got a nod from the Squip. "Boss?" The builder looked up at probably the leader. The leader was looking through a map and noticed me. "I guess if you really want to.." He looked over to the work. "You can get materials for the roof workers. But you do need to put on a vest, helmet and the other protection in that bag over there." He pointed at one big bag next to him. I got the protection and I started to assist them. I only really brought small materials to the roof if they ran out or needed it but it was actually kind of fun. I also saw some of the ponies in the houses look through their windows at me. It made me feel pretty good knowing I was doing good. Meanwhile the Squip helped me do everything perfectly and didn't let any mistake slide. But those shocks were getting pretty annoying.. I stayed there for a hour or two and finished the roof with them. I said good bye to them before making my way back home. At my trip home the Squip popped up again. "You did great today. Maybe one day we'll get through the day with only 13 shocks." "Thanks. I was just doing what you said." I gave him a smile. Even after what Twilight told me I couldn't see any bad in him. I can't for anybody. He just had good intentions for me. And even the shocks are to achieve something good. "I could see a boost of respect from the ponies in town. I can't remember the one time after I got him that he didn't push me around. I looked forward to spending the rest of the day how I wanted to. I arrived back home and did exactly that. While the training kept going it wasn't as easy as the last few times. Ever since Rainbow Dash's accident not many ponies were out and I couldn't really continue with anything. "Firstly, you have to go to Rainbow Dash's house." "Why her house? Nopony is allowed in there." I didn't want to break in her house like that. It didn't feel right.. "We just have to get something and then we can leave. And last time I checked there wasn't anyone keeping an eye on it 24/7. It shouldn't be hard getting in there." He explained waiting for me to answer. I wasn't a fan of the idea. "I don't know.. It doesn't feel right to me.." I recieved another shock from him. "Did I ask how you felt about it?" He looked more serious now. "You should've learned by now going against me isn't a good idea." Eventhough I didn't like the idea if I didn't do it he would keep shocking me until I do. So I just nodded. "Ok, I'll do it.." "Great. Now, let's get moving." He got a smile and looked very excited about what we were going to do. All I could do was go along with him. I arrived at her house still feeling doubth. Eversince the incedent no one has been at this house. And you could really notice. The clouds on and around the house were starting to turn grew like rain clouds instead of their usual snow white colour. The door was also half open. She must've left in a hurry of some kind when she last was here. Further was her house not well kept, especially the windows. I got another shock. "Are you going to move or what?" "I.." This didn't feel right.. "I can't do this.. Sorry.." I got another shock and annoyed look from the Squip. "Yes you can. Now, get in there and I can tell you what to get so you can leave." After another shock or two I did as he said and walked to the door. I walked in and saw how messy it was inside. It looked almost like a horror movie. Things looked like they were trown around, other things looked like they fell on the ground and I could even see a broken mirror and a punch in the wall. "Go to the bedroom. What we seek will be there." I didn't respond and just did as he said. I got in and it was even a bigger mess here. But what suprised me the most was a big mug of cider spilled on the ground. I didn't know why she had such large amount of alcohol in one mug but the Squip spoke again before I could think more of it. "See her desk. Bottom shelf." He pointed at one of the desks and I followed him to it. I openned it and saw a simular shoebox to what she gave me. I openned it and saw the box was filled with many small grey oblong pills. It was full of Squip. "What? Why does she have all of these? It's almost enough-" "For the whole town?" He finished what I was going to say with a grin on his face. "Do you know what I'm getting at?" I realised what he was suggesting. "Y-You want me to give this to the whole town??" "Exactly. And I already thought of a way to make that succeed." "But why??" "It will be for the better. Just trust me on this. Now, get out of here." I took the box and left the house. I wasn't planning on actually doing it but I didn't want it to be there out in the open for anyone to take. I got out of the house and started walking away when I heard someone. "Oh, hi fluttershy!" I looked and saw Derpy. "Hey Derpy." She saw my box. "What's that?" "You know what to do." "I'm not giving it to her." "If you won't I will. But that's your choice." "It's nothi-" I got stopped by something and it quickly got replaced by something else. Derpy didn't ask more questions and got one of them. She took it and after a few seconds she spoke again. "It's minty! But I don't feel anything." I felt my voice do it's own thing again. "You have to take it with green apple juice." "Oooh! I have that at home!" She gave me a wave. "Thanks for the mysterious pill Fluttershy! Bye!" I waved good bye as she flew away. I looked back at the Squip who wore a big grin. "You wouldn't do it so I had to." I looked at him for a bit before replying. "I told you I didn't think it was a good idea. I didn't want to give her it! "So you wanted to keep this perfection to yourself? Sounds a bit selfish to me." Now that he said it it did sound like that. After hearing no reply from me he continued. "This will all be worth it. Things are already improving as we speak." I decided to trust him and go home. If things did improve I would notice it tomorrow. I just hoped it would be good and not turn out like it did last time I wanted things to go well.
