Nearing the end of school...

The final week of school. Usually a relief for most students after many weeks of learning, study and homework. Once the final bell goes off, many rush home to enjoy freedom for many weeks before going back to school for the next term. Yes, nothing beats the feeling of completing the week of school and heading home to celebrate with what ever someone likes to do in their spare-time...

...unless you're Rainbow Dash.

Since the term was over, this meant that there was no more upcoming sporting events. Or Inter-School Sports. Or any events that her teams could compete in. And without any sport to do, she would get very bored very quickly. And she never liked being bored.

Right now, she was sitting in her P.E. class, with only 10 minutes till the bell. As of that moment, she was just scribbling in her exercise book, not listening to the teacher. Okay, she wasn't scribbling, but actually drawing a picture of a cartoony-looking 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 with a massive blower, a bull-bar, and flames erupting from the tyres and exhaust. And after finishing the picture, she would stare at it and wish that she could such a cool car.

The reason why she wished that she had such a cool car, was that she didn't have her own car. She DID have her licence, but that's it. No car. But whenever she would go out with her friends and they would spot a cool car going past, she would brag about how cooler her car was. But when her friends would ask to see it, she would just turn it down. But whenever she would see a cool car on her own, she would feel very upset, thinking that she would never own one of them. And she was also the only one of her friends that didn't have a car. Fluttershy had a light yellow 2009 Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric compact, Twilight Sparkle (Sci-Twi) had a lavender 2019 Volkswagen Jetta compact, Rarity had a white 2008 BMW M3 E92 coupe, Pinkie Pie had a bright pink 1973 Ford Escort RS1600 saloon, Sunset Shimmer had a orange 2000 Ford SVT Cobra R muscle car and although Applejack didn't have her own car, her family did own a red 1966 Chevrolet C30 pickup truck, which she was allowed to drive.

However, while Dash kept scribbling, the bell rang. Immediately, everyone in the class rushed out. Dash, however, just let out a deep sigh, got up, put her book in her bag and proceeded to leave. And as she walked down the hall, kept her head down and began thinking to herself.

Well, there goes yet another term of boringness! But what should I do for the next two weeks? Maybe play some soccer in the backyard? Nah, got no-one to play against and kick their butt. Maybe I could go out and do something with my friends? Hmm, maybe. First, I'd better check to see what they're doing. But what should I do if they're busy? Oh, what to do, what to do? And before she knew it, Dash had reached the front door. Pushing them open, she then saw all of the students that had gotten out of school either waiting for their buses, heading to the school's carpark to fetch their cars or were just chilling on the front lawn. Dash just decided to head to the bus stop and wait, but as she walked towards the bus stop, she saw something interesting. Standing out the front, next to the road, was Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle. And they were kissing.

It wasn't really a surprise that Flash and Sci-Twi were kissing, as ever since the camping trip to the Everfree Forest last year, they had fallen in love and started having little 'adventures' in their cabin during this year's camping trip. And although it took them a while to admit it, they revealed that they were in love.

But it wasn't the fact that they were kissing that caught Rainbow's attention. What did was Flash's car; a beautiful 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 muscle car. This particual one was coloured oil black and had multiple decals on it, making in stand out from the rest of the nearby vehicles.

Dash just decided to ignore them and kept walking to the bus stop, but the moment Dash got to it, Flash then called out her name. "Rainbow Dash, wait!"

Dash turned around, and then asked, "Oh, Flash. What do you want?"

"Well... I was just thinking... Since Twilight has her own car now, maybe would you like me to drop you home?"

Dash took a moment to consider his offer. And it mostly was positive. She would get to catch a ride with Flash in his Camaro, not have to walk AND would have to pay a cent for the ride. But, she also knew that she would feel very bad for her pride and ego if she did ride with him. But having said that, she knew that she could keep up her proud and egotistical attitude.

And with that in mind, she then smiled and said, "Sure! I'd love too!"

Dash then proceeded to the car and got in, while Flash came around to the other side and got in on the driver's side. But while he buckled himself in and started the car, two cars then raced by in the opposite lane. Dash was in deep awe upon seeing what cars they were. Those two cars were a bright-white 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid roadster supercar and a light grey 2003 Porsche Carrera GT sports roadster. At first, she didn't see how was driving the cars, until she saw the backwards double quaver on the 918 Spyder and the treble clef on the Carrera GT. Then, she instantly knew that the 918 belonged to Vinyl Scratch and the Carrera belonged to Octavia Melody.

Dammint! Why must everyone in the school have a cool car?! And where did those two even get those?! They're expensive as hell! Dash thought, as the two roasters raced off into the distance. But it left her with a burning question; How did two teenage students who work as musicians are able to afford both modern and rare Porsches?

But she turned her attention away, as Flash then started up his Camaro and started driving. As Flash drove, he noticed that Dash looked very down. "Hey, Dash. Everything okay?" He asked, concerned for her wellbeing.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah! Fine! Perfectly fine! I just saw two awesome cars go by, that's all!" She quickly replied, showing no signs of her disappointment. And although Flash didn't buy her lie, he just shrugged it off and kept driving.

But then, while waiting at a set of lights, Flash then asked her a question that to her, just came out of the blue. "Hey, Dash. Umm, Forza Street is coming to Canterlot. You going to participate as well?"

Dash just turned to him with a confused look, and said, "What? I literally have no idea what you are talking about. What is this 'Forza Street' thing?"

"It's the biggest street racing tournament the world has ever seen! And it's coming to Canterlot, fresh off of the streets of Miami!" Flash quickly explained, before asking, "So... You going to join in on the fun? You could bring the car that you've been bragging about!"

"Pfft! Nah! I'm waaaaay too cool for that competition! Besides, the other drivers wouldn't stand a chance!" Dash replied, quick to inflate her ego even more.

"Okay, then! But just so you know, you're going to miss out on a lot of fun!" Flash stated, before stopping the car. Dash looked up, and saw that they had arrived at her house. "Just so you know, if you're not going to participate, you can watch the tournament on Channel 323, called Street TV. Maybe you can watch me become this year's winner?" And with that, Dash siad her farewells and got out of the vehicle, before Flash drove off.

Although she didn't feel any better about her lack of a cool car, the fact that Flash had suggested for something for her to do did make her feel a little better. And as she headed inside, she immediately knew what she was going to do...
