A Changeling in Ponyville

Estella the changeling was different. All she ever wanted was a family. She was a good changeling. But she did not know how she could tell Queen Chrysalis, especially after the Canterlot event. Queen Chrysalis was in a very bad mood these days. So she escaped the changelings, and was wandering in the everfree disguised as a purple unicorn mare with a blond mane and tail, weary and exhausted from walking. She discovers a strange house in a tree, decorated with masks and whatnot. Estella cautioulsy knocks, feeling uneasy. She is startled when she doesn't find a pony like she expected,but a zebra. She goes along with it anyway, hoping she will find out how to behave more like a pony.

     The zebra said, " My name is Zecora, you must be new, because I cannot remember ever seeing you."

"Umm... I'm Estella. Nice to meet you. I would like you to teach me how to... fit in around Ponyville, as it is called? If you are doing important work, I understand," she said with a slight British accent.

   Zecora replied back,"Teach you I will about fitting in, but please, take a rest and do come in."

Estella obliged and came in, asking if there were any drinks.

Zecora gace her some water and said,"Don't be afraid,be strong and bold, and you will get what is foretold."

"What is foretold?" Estella said curiously.

"What I have said is not to be known, but for you to discover on your own," Zecora said, waving to her as she left.

Estella wandered to Ponyville and saw a yellow pegasus in a clearing cuddling some rabbits and walked into the clearing. Fluttershy was scared, but Estella said,"Come out. It's fine, I won't hurt your bunnies, they're kind of cute."

       Fluttershy cautiously tiptoed out from the tree she was behind. Estella smiled encouragingly. Fluttershy nervoulsy gulped and extended a shaking hoof. Estella used a quiet voice, seeing that Fluttershy was shy."What's your name, nice pony? I'm Estella," she said softly shaking her hoof.

"I'm Fluttershy..." she said quietly.

" Fluttershy? That's a lovely name. I'd love to see you again in Ponyville. Do you live there?" Estella said curiously.

Fluttershy nodded and smiled, a weak smile, but a smile nonetheless. Estella waved and said goodbye, trotting towards ponyville. She arrived at a gingerbread house looking building, and entered discovoring it was a bakery. She thought, 'I've got to find a job, all this stuff looks so good!' and walked out, meeting a bubbly pink mare on the road to her new home.

She breathes in and goes,"I've never seen you before which means you are probably new so I'll have to throw a party and it'll be so much fun!"

She was panting from holding her breath. Estella was slightly annoyed and said,"I still have to move my stuff into order, see you tomorrow?" Oinkie said,"Okie dokie lokie!" and bounced off into the bakery. She went into her new homa and used magic to put her stuff away, and sealed the door shut behind her, returning to changeling form and passing out, so tired from the walk.

"Cock-a-doodle-doo!" a rooster crowed and Estella woke up, a serious case of bedmane, and changed back to a pony with a 'woosh' of green fire and groomed her mane and tail. She went to a farm called Sweet Apple Acres. They were hiring, 20 bits an hour, for 2 hours. That meant if she worked 7 days straight she earned 280 bits. That was fair enough. There was a pony who seemed to be runnng the place.

Estella said,"Hi, I'm looking for a job at Sweet Apple Acres, is this it?"

"Sure is, suarcube," said the pony. "Ah'm Applejack, an' you mus' be the new one, Estella. Mighty sorry, but Thunderlane took the job already. He's over there."

Estella trotted over and waved a hoof. Thunderlane blushed and waved back.

Estella smiled," Hi, I'm Estella and you must be Thunderlane." She paused for a moment."Is there something wrong wth your cheeks? You look red."

    Thunderlane turned his head around and got back to work. Estella just shrugged and walked away. When she waas on her way to The Carousel Boutiqe, she met a brown stallion with a brown mane and tail with an hourglss as a cutie mark. When they saw each other, they both blushed and looked away,
