Fillydelphia Freedom 2: Furry Fury

Copper raised her guns and fired at Shroud. The griffin ducked and fired back. Copper dove back into the alley and began to climb up a fire escape. Shroud growled and ran after her. She raised her guns and fired, the bullets ricocheting off the metal bars as Copper hugged the wall to avoid getting hit. When the griffin stopped to reload, Copper resumed her journey upwards.

Kerfuffle lowered the staff as the storm raged on. She was suddenly rammed by a magical green bubble, pushing her back. She kept her grip on the staff and used its magic to repel the attack. When the green bubble popped, Bubbles reached out and grabbed the staff. Kerfuffle growled and kicked her hard in the stomach with her metal foot, knocking her back.

"You think you can stop me?!" Kerfuffle asked, raising the staff and firing a bolt at the changeling.

Bubbles raised her green shield again, deflecting the attack. Kerfuffle jumped to the side to avoid getting hit before she slammed the staff into the ground, sending out a shockwave that sent Bubbles flying backwards.

Copper leaned over the edge of the fire escape and fired at the griffin. Shroud hugged the wall to avoid the bullets. When Copper ran out, she sighed and continued up, as did Shroud. Just as Copper was about to head onto the roof, Shroud fired up and a bullet hit the brown mare in the leg. Copper let out a yell and tripped, falling onto the roof with a grunt. She looked around for a place to hide and saw a large round chimney with smoke coming out of it. She winced in pain and began to crawl over to it.

Tiaplate peeked around the truck. "I feel like we should do something."

Lymee shrugged. "Like what?"

"I could distract her," Aloe suggested.

"Can't get too close," Luster said as she eyed upwards at the fairy on her head. "She has that staff. Every time Bubbles gets close, Kerfuffle just... knocks her away."

Tiaplate saw Elza starting to get up, but ducked as a bolt of magic from Kerfuffle's staff shot over her head. "No matter what happens, we have to save Elza. She's one of us."

"Agreed," Lymee replied, also getting a nod from Aloe.

Tiaplate looked down at her hands and held them up in front of her. "Maybe..." She then looked around and saw an overturned trash can with balls of newspaper spilling out of it.

Elza watched Blossom get up and start to move to help Bubbles when a fireball flew at Kerfuffle. The ball hit the mare in the chest and knocked her back. Blossom looked over at Tiaplate, whose hands were smoking.

"I fucking knew it!" Blossom yelled with a smile.

"It's not what you think!" The fire salamander called over to her as she picked up another ball of crumpled up newspaper, which quickly burst into flames.

"What the hell was..." Kerfuffle began, before she blocked another fireball with her staff. She glared at the salamander before Blossom tackled her to the pavement. Both let out a grunt as Bubbles grabbed the staff. "Oh, fuck off!" Kerfuffle yelled before she created another shockwave that launched Bubbles upwards and back onto a building across the street.

"Bubbles!" Blossom yelled as the cyan mare got up.

Kerfuffle glanced over at the wide-eyed white mare. "You're next. Wait here." She then made her way towards the building.

Elza got to her feet as Kerfuffle entered the building. "How do we stop her?"

Blossom walked over to her. "I don't know. Are you okay?"

The hyena nodded. "Yeah, I just feel... drained."

Shroud aimed her gun at the chimney, knowing it had to be what her target was hiding behind. "Come on out, Coppy!" She called. "Let's end this quickly!"

Copper felt her belt for more ammo, only to realize she was out. She ejected the mag and checked the ammo inside. Three. She slammed it back in with an angry grunt. "What if we call it a draw?! And we both go home!"

Shroud chuckled. "Out of ammo, are we?!"

Copper sighed. "No!"

"Could've fooled me, bitch," Shroud hissed with a smirk as she made her way around the chimney.

Copper heard her moving closer and began to slide her way along the chimney to stay out of sight. Shroud frowned and started to move faster. Copper heard the rapid footsteps and tried to slide faster, but her wound sent a jolt of pain up her leg. She yelled out as Shroud caught up to her with a chuckle.

"I do wish this had lasted longer," the griffin said as she raised her gun. Copper closed her eyes, waiting for the gunshot. Shroud started to pull the trigger when something small rammed into her forehead. "What the hell?"

Copper opened her eyes to see Aloe flying around Shroud. She raised her gun and fired her remaining three rounds. The first bullet hit the griffin in the side, making her fall back and out of the path of the other two bullets. She yelled in pain and scrambled to her feet before running towards the fire escape. Copper let her gun fall from her hand as Aloe landed on her belly.

"Thanks," Copper grunted.

The fairy smiled. "No problem, dude."

Bubbles let out a groan and got to her knees next to the large air vent she had slammed into. She felt her arm and winced in pain. She was about to get up the rest of the way when she heard the rooftop doorway open up.

"Thought I'd find you here," Kerfuffle cooed as she stepped onto the roof. "After I kill you, no one will have magic to stop me, dontcha know? All too easy."

She aimed her staff and fired. Bubbles gasped and clenched her eyes shut, raising her shield. With every jolt of pain in her arm, she felt her concentration waning. At any moment, her shield would break and Kerfuffle would kill her. This was it.

"I'll be sure to say bye to Blossom for ya," Kerfuffle cooed darkly. "I'm sure she'll miss ya terribly. Perhaps I'll be kind and put her out of her misery."

Bubbles' eyes shot open and she caused her shield to burst outwards, the force making Kerfuffle stumble backwards. "NO!" She screamed, firing a beam of magic at the mare.

Kerfuffle swung her staff and deflected the attack back at the changeling. Bubbles dove to the side as the magic struck the vent. Kerfuffle raised her staff to fire again before Luster jumped her from behind.

"No, you don't!" Luster yelled, wrapping her arms around the mare's neck.

Kerfuffle growled and fell backwards, landing atop the mare as both grunted on impact. The cyan mare turned her staff around and aimed it at Luster's head. The pink mare gasped and threw the mare off her. Kerfuffle rolled across the roof and fired a bolt at the pink mare. Luster dove to the side and rolled, landing on her knees before she ran over to Bubbles.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she helped the changeling up.

Bubbles nodded. "Yeah. You?"

Luster nodded when the heard Kerfuffle chuckle.

"How cute," the cyan mare cooed. "You can both die together."

She was suddenly rammed into the side. 'What the hell now?!" She yelled, before she was forcefully pinned against the air vent by Blossom. "You?!"

"Noy my friends, you bitch!" Blossom yelled.

"Ooo, so feisty," Kerfuffle sang, her staff glowing.

Blossom gasped and grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the floor. Kerfuffle landed with a grunt before Blossom raised her foot. The cyan mare gasped and held her staff horizontally to send out another shockwave. It light up with magic just before Blossom's foot came crashing down on it. The staff broke in half as magical energy coursed through Blossom, making her yell in pain before she was thrown backwards off the roof.

"NO!!!" Bubbles, Luster, and Kerfuffle all yelled, the last one for a different reason. Kerfuffle growled and got up, looking at her broken staff. The crystal at the end was dim. "Well, shit." She threw the pieces to the floor before she walked towards the mare and changeling. "I don't need magic to kill you."

She took one step more step before she heard something confusing. "Hey!" Came Blossom's voice. All three stopped and looked over to see the white mare hovering in the air. "Yeah. I can fly now, I guess."

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Kerfuffle yelled, reaching into her back holster and pulling out a gun.

Blossom went wide-eyed before beams shot out of her pupils and hit Kerfuffle in the chest, knocking her back against the rooftop door. The white mare collapsed to the floor, unconscious. The white mare chuckled nervously and awkwardly lowered herself to the roof. She stumbled a bit on landing but kept her footing. Before she could do anything else, Bubbles ran over and hugged her tightly. Blossom smiled and hugged back.

"What happened to you?" Luster asked as she walked over to them.

Blossom broke the hug and looked at her. "I don't know. I guess I absorbed the magic from the staff."

"And now you can fly," Bubbles said with a wide smile, holding out her arms.

"Don't forget the lasers!" Blossom chuckled.

Luster smiled and looked over at Kerfuffle. "What about her?"

The door opened a bit, hitting the cyan mare's body. It suddenly flew open, pushing Kerfuffle's body aside as Copper stumbled through the doorway. "What the hell was..." she began to ask, before she saw Kerfuffle. "Oh. Is she dead?"

Blossom shrugged. "I lasered her, so... I dunno."

Copper nodded and squatted down, feeling her neck for a pulse. "She's alive. Where's the staff?"

Blossom went and gathered the two halves and brought it over to her. "Here. I sorta had to break it..."

Copper nodded. "It's fine. At least it can't be used against... Wait... Did you say you lasered her?"

Copper threw Kerfuffle into the back of an armored car. "Have fun in maximum security, boss," she said with a smile before she closed the doors.

Kerfuffle looked around at the four guards in the back before she looked down at her handcuffs with a sigh.

Copper watched the car drive off as another agent came over with the two halves of the staff. The brown mare smiled and took them. "Thank you," she said as she headed over to another armored car. As she opened the back to hand the staff to one of the guards, Blossom walked over to her. "That was some turn of events," she said, before she turned around to look at the white mare. "You'll have to be careful with those new powers of yours."

"I will," Blossom assured. "I'm more responsible than I look, ya know?"

Copper smiled as Kris walked over. "You two be careful. There may be more artifacts like the staff out there."

"We will," Kris said with a smile. Copper gave her a smile before she turned and climbed into the driver's seat of the armored car. Kris then looked at Blossom. "So, you can fly now?"

"And shoot lasers from my eyes. Why does everyone forget about the lasers?"

Laster that day, everyone stood in Blossom’s apartment, staring at the hyena woman.

“So, you all really wanna see it?” Elza asked, gripping her shorts. Blossom and Bubbles both nodded while Kris and Luster gave a forced small smile. “You should know I normally charge others for this. Especially if they want to touch it.”

“I saved your life," Blossom said as she crossed her arms. "You owe me."

"Some hero," Kris scoffed.

"I-I'm joking," Blossom whined. "Dammit, Kris, I'm more honorable than that. She doesn't have to show us if she doesn't want to." She then looked at Elza again. "Do you want to?"

The hyena chuckled. "Why not?" She asked, before she pulled her shorts down.

Blossom and Bubbles' eyes went wide. "Holy fuck!" They both exclaimed.

Copper's car sped down the road towards their headquarters as the guard in the back examined the two halves. Suddenly, the halves poofed out of the guards hands, making him stand up quickly and hit his head on the ceiling. "Fuck!" He yelled, before the guard nearest the front banged on the window.

Copper reached behind her and slid the window open. "Yeah?"

"The staff! It's gone!"

Copper's eyes went wide. "What?!"
