//-------------------------------------------------------// When I Loved You -by ShowShine- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Welcome Princess Cadance //-------------------------------------------------------// Welcome Princess Cadance Princess Celestia paced around the throne room with a stressed look on her face. Her teeth were gritted together and her wings were opened defensively. Luna sat on her sister's throne, leaning in her hoof. There was a bag of chips sitting on her lap and she chewed on them loudly as she watched her sister panic. "Sister you're being overdramatic," Luna stated. Celestia turned around to face her sister, furrowing her brows. "I'm not being overdramatic. My niece is getting married and her wedding needs to be perfect. There was already an anonymous threat and we have no leads on them. All I can do is enforce extra security so I don't start a panic!" Celestia exclaimed, now completely stressed out. Luna loudly rummaged in the chip bag with her hoof before pulling out a chip. "That's rough." Luna stated, popping the chip in her mouth. Celestia's ears flattened and she gave her sister an annoyed look. "Stop eating on my throne, you're going to get crumbs on it." She said. Luna looked Celestia in the eye and crushed up a few chips before sprinkling the crumbs onto the throne. Celestia levitated the back of the throne, tipping it over. Luna toppled down the carpet, falling face-first onto the ground. Luna looked up at her sister with a grumpy look. "Luna this is serious. There's a threat to Equestria that no one should know about. I don't even know how dangerous this threat is." Celestia explained. Luna stood up and went to say something comforting, but the throne rooms opening. Five guards stood at the door with there spears upwards. They all stepped to the side to reveal Princess Cadance. Celestia's face lit up when she saw her niece. Cadance laid her eyes on Celestia and tensed up, freezing for a few seconds. Cadance gave a smile continued to walk to her aunt. Luna approached Cadance and stuck out her hoof in a friendly manner. "It is nice to meet you. I'm your Aunt Luna." Luna greeted. Cadance looked Luna up and down with a blank look before walking past her.. Luna blinked in surprise. Cadance walked over to Celestia, seeming to be completely enamored at her. "Cadance, it's so good to see you again. How have things been going?" Celestia asked. Cadance stared up at her aunt before pulling her into a big hug. She nuzzled into Celestia's chest, holding back tears. "I missed you so much," Cadance said. Celestia blinked in surprise before hugging her niece back. She stroked her niece's hair. "Cadance, I've never seen you act like this. Are you doing alright?" Celestia asked. Cadance pulled away from the hug and sniffled, wiping her eyes. "I'm just a little stressed about the wedding." She said, dismissively waving her hoof. Celestia gave her a sympathetic look. "If you don't want to worry about your wedding, I can get some ponies to handle some things for you. I already have the perfect ponies in mind." Celestia stated happily. Cadance gave a large smile. "That sounds wonderful. Now I'm going to spend time with my lovely fiance." Cadance said before turning around and leaving the throne room. The door closed behind her with a slam. Celestia cocked an eyebrow and looked over to Luna. "Did Cadance seem off to you?" Celestia asked. Luna shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, I've never met her," Luna stated. Celestia thought for a few seconds. "She was definitely acting different. She never gets so excited to see me to the point where she's in tears. She would also never just ignore someone new. She would greet them happily." Celestia said. Luna shrugged her shoulders. "She said she was stressed about the wedding. Maybe she was just distracted." Luna said. Celestia let out a hum. Luna could be right but for some reason, it just felt wrong. Celestia had raised Cadance since she was a young filly and she had never acted like that. Celestia shook her head and turned around. She didn't have time to worry about that at that moment. She needed to send a letter to Twilight. Princess Celestia looked out the open kitchen window, watching Princess Cadance walk around the Canterlot Gardens. Something about how she moved and how she spoke wasn't right. Cadance looked around the garden as if she were looking for something. A hummingbird flew over to Cadance, nuzzling onto her cheek. Cadance looked at the hummingbird and hissed, snapping her teeth at it. Celestia let out a gasp. When Cadance opened her mouth, it looked like she had fangs and a forked tongue. Celestia leaned closer and squinted, trying to get a closer look. "Sister, what are you doing?" Luna asked, making Celestia jump in surprise. She glared at her younger sister. "I told you to stop sneaking up on me." Celestia said in a hushed whisper. Luna looked out the window to see Cadance and rolled her eyes. "Oh my stars Celestia, she's not suspicious!" Luna shouted. Celestia covered her sister's mouth and ducked down out of sight. "Shush, I don't want her to know that I'm watching her," Celestia said in a hushed whisper. Luna rolled her eyes again and stood up, walking away. "You're being ridiculous sister, she hasn't done anything wrong," Luna said before walking out of the kitchen. Celestia puffed her cheeks out and stood back up, looking out the window. Cadance was gone. Celestia angrily stomped her hoof on the ground. If Luna hadn't distracted her she would have known where she was at that moment. Celestia walked out of the kitchen, making her way to the throne room. She needed some time to think about Cadance. Stress doesn't just make ponies hiss at hummingbirds. And stress definitely didn't make ponies grow fangs and a forked tongue. What villain did Celestia know that hated hummingbirds, had fangs, and a forked tongue? As Celestia thought, she entered the throne room, only to stop in surprise. Cadance was laying on her throne, rubbing her face against the armrest. Her wings were spread open and her eyes were closed. She had a smile on her face and she hummed to herself. She seemed to be very happy. "Cadance?" Celestia asked in a surprised tone. Cadance's eyes opened and she sat straight up. She looked over to Celestia and let out a nervous laugh. "Oh, Aunt Celestia, I didn't know you were here!" Cadance exclaimed nervously. Her cheeks were red. "What were you doing?" Celestia asked. Cadance let out a mix of a cough and a laugh. "I just heard how comfy your throne was so I was just testing it out." Cadance said with a wide smile. Celestia let out a chuckle. "You can sit on my throne any time you want." Celestia said in a comforting tone. Cadance's face turned red and she took a step past Celestia. "I should get going, I need to make sure all of the wedding planners are all doing the right things. Bye!" Cadance said with an awkward wave before running out of the room. Celestia gave a confused look. Now she knew Cadance was acting odd. She was never nervous or afraid around Celestia unless she was hiding something. Celestia needed to go on a stakeout. //-------------------------------------------------------// Protection //-------------------------------------------------------// Protection Princess Celestia sat on her throne, waiting for Shining Armor and Princess Cadance to show up. She had sent some guards to follow Cadance around and report back anything suspicious. She was sure that something was wrong with Cadance. Even if it wasn't an evil thing, she was worried about her niece. The throne room door opened and three guards calmly walked in. They bowed to their Princess and lowered their spears to the ground as a sign of respect. It was odd that they had come back so early, she had only sent them out ten minutes ago. "What is your report on Princess Cadance?" Celestia asked. The guards stood up from their bows. "Princess Cadance and is perfectly safe and there's nothing odd with her. She had been doing her normal wedding duties all morning. She's currently with the party planner." One of the guards explained. That was very odd. Even if the guards had seen everything was fine, they should have stayed with Cadance for a little longer. "You're telling me you three didn't see anything worth reporting at all?" Celestia asked. All three guards shook their heads. Now this was getting weird. These were Celestia's best guards, they never came back from a mission this early. They would thoroughly investigate any mission Celestia gives them, which can take hours. Celestia stared at her guards. All of their eyes were green. Weren't they yellow before? Maybe she was mistaken. Celestia shook her head and waved her hoof. "I've heard enough, you're free to go." Celestia stated. The three guards turned around and walked towards the throne room door. The walked in perfect unison. Celestia leaned in her hoof and let out a soft raspberry. Everything was very odd that day. Cadance was nervous around her, her guards were more laid back than usual, and there was a villain threat. "I don't know who's doing this." Celestia muttered to herself. There was no way all of this sudden odd behavior was normal. This had to be the work of a villain, but who? It couldn't be Discord, he was still in the labyrinth. If he had come back, Canterlot would have been in utter chaos. She had suspected King Sombra but he had died. If he had miraculously come back from the dead, he wouldn't be able to get into Canterlot due to the magical bubble so it couldn't be him. Celestia didn't know which villain it could be. All of the other villains she had dealt with in the past were either reformed, dead, or have been inactive for thousands of years. None of this made sense. The throne room door opened, making Celestia turning around. Princess Cadance sauntered in with her eyes closed. Her fiance, Shining Armor, trailing behind her like a lost puppy. Celestia hopped off of her throne and approached the lovely couple. "Hello aunt Celestia." Cadance said happily, opening her eyes. She looked at Celestia and her face turned red. She quickly looked down at the floor. Celestia gave a fake smile, hoping to cheer her niece up. "Hello Cadance, how was your wedding planning today?" Celestia asked. Cadance let out a soft mumble and kicked her hoof on the ground. Celestia frowned and walked over to her niece. , putting her hoof on her back. Cadance tensed up. Poor thing, she was terrified. "Cadance sweetheart, I know you're scared right now but it's okay. Nothing bad is going to happen and your wedding is going to be wonderful." Celestia reassured. Cadance looked up to Celestia, her face still burning red. "I'm going to give you extra guards for protection. Besides, your fiance is the captain of the Royal Guard." Celestia said with a wink. She looked over at Shining Armor who was staring at the ground. He was usually was very attentive. "Is Shining Armor doing okay? He seems very....out of it." Celestia said in a concerned tone. Cadance looked at her fiance and dismissively waved her hoof. "He's been having some bad migraines but he's alright. Isn't that right darling?" She asked. Shining Armor instantly snapped out of his gaze and started to beam. "I'm perfectly fine Princess, there's no reason to worry." Shining Armor reassured. Celestia let out a soft breath of relief. At least Shining Armor was acting normal. He was one of Cadance's only hopes of being safe. "I'll send you extra guards for your safety. After your wedding, everything is going to be alright. You'll go back to your normal life." Celestia reassured. Celestia made eye contact with a few of the guards at the door and gestured for them to come over. Five guards rushed over to Celestia and bowed. "Stay with Princess Cadance until after the wedding. Don't let anyone get too close to her." Celestia ordered. The guards nodded their heads and got in a circle formation around Cadance. "Thank you aunt Celestia." Cadance thanked before turning around. She walked away with her guards following her in a close huddle. Shining Armor trailed behind his fiance. Once they all left the room and closed the doors behind them, Celestia let out a sigh of relief. She walked over to her throne and sat on it. She levitated some papers from behind her throne. She had been making a chart on which villains were most likely to come back. So far she had narrowed it down to 10 villains. It was time to figure it out. Celestia around the castle, feeling the night breeze on her coat. She had spent the whole day trying to figure out who the villain was. Maybe it was a new villain? Maybe the threat was made by some kids who thought it would be funny to send Canterlot into a panic. Either way, she had no leads. Celestia let out a sigh and continued to walk. She should go check on Cadance, she hadn't heard from her since she sent her out with extra guards which was hours ago. Celestia walked away from the castle, making her way into town. Since it was late at night, no ponies would be in the streets to gush over the Princess, which was a relief. Celestia just wanted a peaceful meeting with her niece. Cadance was staying at Shining Armors' place until the wedding because he didn't live too far from the castle. After the wedding and their honeymoon, they were going to move into the castle. Celestia approached Shining Armors' house, only to see that the door was open a crack. Celestia slowly opened the door and stepped inside to see that the house was dark. It was far too early for Cadance to go to bed so there was no reason for every light to be off. What if the villain had gotten past the guards? What if Cadance was hurt? Celestia lit up her horn and looked around, ready to fight. She could hear shouting from upstairs, making her look up. Celestia flew up the flight of stairs in a hurry, charging up her magic. Once Celestia got to the top of the stairs, she slowly approached the only open door. A green light came from the room and the shouting got louder as she approached it. Celestia peeked into the room to see Twilight scowling at Cadance. Cadance's horn was glowing green and she smirked at Twilight. Shining Armor and the guards Celestia had sent to stay with Cadance, stood around Twilight. All of their eyes were glowing green and the looked like they were in a trance. "I don't know who you are but you won't get away with this!" Twilight exclaimed with an angry snarl on her face. Cadance put her hoof up to her mouth and let out a loud laugh. "I'd like to see you try and stop me," Cadance said, letting her horn glow brighter. A green flame surrounded Twilight and quickly washed over her. Within seconds, the flame disappeared and Twilight was gone. Cadance let out a groan and stretched out her hind legs. "Ugh this form is killing me." Cadance said. A green flame engulfed Cadance's body before quickly disappearing. Cadance was replaced with a tall black changeling with black holes all over her body. She had a jagged black horn and clear bug-like wings with holes in them. Her hair was long and green with holes in them. Celestia let out a soft gasp. "Chrysalis." //-------------------------------------------------------// Let's Rule Together //-------------------------------------------------------// Let's Rule Together Celestia pushed open the bedroom door, letting it hit the wall to make a loud bang. Chrysalis turned around and her eyes landed on Celestia. Her cheeks turned pink and she took a step back in surprise. "Celestia!" Chrysalis exclaimed in surprise, not knowing what to say. Celestia scowled and walked towards Chrysalis with a glowing horn. "What did you do with Cadance and Twilight!?" Celestia asked sternly. Chrysalis' eyes darted back and forth. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it, trying to form proper words. She shook her head, gaining her composure. She stood up straight and puffed out her chest. "I put them somewhere no one will ever find them." Chrysalis answered with a smirk. Celestia snarled and got closer to Chrysalis. Their noses pressed together, making the Changelings eyes widen and her heart raced in her chest. Her horn glowed brighter. "Where are they?" Celestia asked sternly. Chrysalis was at a loss for words. She was being threatened by the most beautiful mare in Equestria. "Celestia I want to marry you," Chrysalis stated. Celestia blinked in surprise, taking a few steps back. She was not expecting her to say that. "Excuse me?" Celestia asked in shock. Chrysalis took a step closer to Celestia with a large smile on her face. She grabbed Celestia's hoof and placed it in hers, looking into her eyes. "Celestia Nova Star, I want to marry you. We can rule Equestria together and start a new kingdom. Everyone will worship and adore us!" Chrysalis said excitedly, her eyes sparkling brightly. Celestia jerked her hoof back, taking a few steps back. She held her hoof up to her chest and shook her head. "It's been two thousand years since I've last seen you and haven't changed a bit. I'm not going to marry you." Celestia stated. Chrysalis' ears flattened and she looked down at the ground. Her teeth gritted and she looked up at Celestia with tears in her eyes. "Then I'll rightfully take this land as my own," Chrysalis stated. She opened her wings and flew out of the window, quickly wiping tears from her eyes. Her horn was glowing brightly. From outside the bubble, thousands of changelings emerged from the darkness. Chrysalis was calling her subjects. Celestia's eyes widened. "Oh no oh no oh no." She muttered to herself. This was very bad. She knew she couldn't take on Chrysalis by herself. Celestia looked at the guards and Shining Armor who was still standing in the room, under Chrysalis' control. She knew that there was nothing she could do to snap them out of it. She needed to get help. Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy sat in a bedroom, relaxing. "I can't believe Twilight thinks Princess Cadance is evil." Fluttershy said, brushing Angel Bunny's fur. "I know right? She was super duper nice to me. There's no way she's evil." Pinkie Pie stated. The bedroom door slammed open, making all mares look at the door. Princess Celestia stood there with a panicked look on her face. "Twilight and Princess Cadance are in trouble!" Celestia exclaimed. The mares hopped up and got in fighting stances. "Who do we have to take down?" Rainbow Dash asked fiercely. Celestia pointed out of the window, gesturing to Queen Chrysalis. More changelings started to pile up onto the bubble. The mares piled up in front of the window, looking at the changeling in awe. "Who is that." Applejack asked. Celestia let out a sigh. "That's Queen Chrysalis. My ex-wife." Celestia stated. The mares turned to face her with wide eyes. "Darling I don't mean to be rude but you got married to her?! You can do much better than that darling." Rarity said in slight disgust. Celestia's ears flattened as she watched Chrysalis call her army. "Why did you marry her?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Why did you two split apart?" Fluttershy questioned softly. "Why is she back now?" Pinkie Pie asked, hopping up and down. Celestia put her hoof up, making the mares quiet down. "I'll explain all of that in a moment but first, you five need to find Twilight and Princess Cadance. Since there's a bubble around Canterlot, they can't be far. Check everywhere, even the secret tunnels under the castle." Celestia instructed. The girls nodded their heads. "We won't let you down, Princess!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed with a salute. The mares ran out of the room and Celestia turned to face the window. She needed to handle Chrysalis herself. "Ponies of Canterlot, I am your new Queen! You will bow to me!" Chrysalis shouted. Ponies stopped and stared in shock. All of that ruckus had woken ponies up. Chrysalis turned around to face her subjects that were on top of the bubble. She gestured one of her hooves and with that, the changelings started to hop. The weight of the changelings started to crack the bubble. Some ponies started to run off to shelter while others stared at the thousands of changelings in awe. Royal Guards marched into the city with spears and swords. Celestia had ordered them to attack, knowing that she could do nothing to stop the changelings from entering Canterlot. The cracks in the bubble were getting larger and larger. "Yes, my subjects!" Chrysalis exclaimed, raising her hooves into the air. The bubble shattered and within seconds, changelings flew into Canterlot. They all hovered next to their queen, waiting for an order. "Attack!" Chrysalis ordered. Changelings started to attack ponies, taunting, and teasing them. Ponies screamed and ran in different directions, looking for shelter. Chrysalis let out a loud laugh, watching all of the chaos in glee. "Chrysalis!" Celestia shouted, making Chrysalis turn around. Celestia stood on the top of the castle with an angry look on her face. Chrysalis and her face dropped momentarily before she broke out into a wide grin. "Stop this madness Chrysalis!" Celestia ordered. Chrysalis let out a laugh, clutching onto her sides. "You think I'll just stop? If you want me to stop you'll have to stop me yourself." Chrysalis said smugly. Celestia gritted her teeth and opened her wings. She jumped off of the side of the castle and flew towards Chrysalis at full speed. Chrysalis' eyes widened and she flew slightly to the right. Celestia zipped past her and whirled around shot a beam of magic at her. Chrysalis dodged the attack and flew in the opposite direction. Celestia chased after her, continuing to shoot magic at Chrysalis. She turned around and stuck her tongue out at Celestia. "Try to catch me Celly!" Chrysalis exclaimed before flying downwards into the crowd of fighting and chaos. Celestia followed a few feet behind, flapping her wings harder. Chrysalis flew through the crowds of fighting, dodging ponies. Changelings moved out of there queens way to make sure they didn't inconvenience her. Celestia followed after Chrysalis and to her surprise, the changelings moved out of her way too. Chrysalis made a sharp right turn, going in between some buildings. Celestia made a right turn, right on Chrysalis' tail. She went in between the buildings to see that it was a dead end. There was a large brick wall at one end and above them, there was a series of clotheslines that would be impossible to get through without getting stuck. Chrysalis was facing the wall, now standing on the ground. "It's a dead-end Chrysalis, just give up," Celestia said, landing on the ground. When she didn't get an answer, she walked over to Chrysalis and put her hoof on her shoulder. Chrysalis jerked away from Celestia and turned around to face her. she had an angry look on her face. "We were supposed to rule Equestria together!" Chrysalis exclaimed angrily, taking a step forward. Celestia took a set back and her ears flattened. "I still see you as my wife!" She shouted, tears filling up in her eyes. Celestia stuck her hoof out for Chrysalis to hold. "We can start over Chrysalis, you just need to leave behind you evil past," Celestia stated. Chrysalis looked at Celestia and then down at her hoof. She thought to herself for a few long moments. She placed her hoof on Celestia's hoof and tears started to drip down her cheeks. She didn't expect to get this emotional. Celestia pulled Chrysalis into her a hug, letting her cry into her shoulder. "There there, it'll all be alright," Celestia reassured, patting Chrysalis' back. Chrysalis let out loud sobs into Celestia's shoulder, feeling comforted. This was the first time she had cried in over a thousand years. It felt so nice to be held by Celestia again. After several minutes of crying, Chrysalis pulled away from the hug. She wiped the tears from her eyes and sniffled. There was a loud scream from outside of the alleyway and a flash of green. They had both completely forgotten about the invasion. "We should stop this," Chrysalis stated. Celestia nodded her head in agreement. They both stood up and walked out of the alley. This was going to be the start of something great. //-------------------------------------------------------// Bad Reaction //-------------------------------------------------------// Bad Reaction Celestia and Chrysalis stood right outside of Canterlot. Celestia stared and Chyrasilis with a stern look on her face. "Chrysalis, I'm going to give you one chance at this. You need to prove that you and your subjects can stay in Equestria." Celestia explained. Chrysalis quickly nodded her head. "I'm going to the castle, meet me there once you're done talking to your subjects." She said before turning around and walking off. Chrysalis let out an exhale and stood up, walking further away from Canterlot. She walked into a wooded area to see all of her subjects sitting, waiting for instructions. "I know this is going to be different, but we all need to make an effort to be good," Chrysalis explained to her subjects. One changeling from the back flew up and waved his hoof to get is Queen's attention. "Brilliant idea my queen, we can pretend to be good and lead them into a false sense of security before we betray them! He exclaimed with a wicked grin on his face. Chrysalis shook her head. "No, we're going to be genuinely nice. We're all going to have to change for the better," Chrysalis said with a smile. Changelings muttered to each other. A different changeling flew up with a confused look on her face. "Why do we have to change? What do we benefit from this?" She asked. Chrysalis' eyes darted around and she gave a nervous smile. She couldn't let them know she was just using them to get her wife back. "I just want our kind to have a good impact on the world," Chrysalis said with a fake smile. A changeling raised her hoof and pointed a hoof towards Chrysalis. "She lying, I heard her whole conversation. She's going to try to use us so she can get her 'Beautiful Celestia' back!" She shouted. A few changelings started to mutter angrily. "If you're going to change our motive, I say we start our own hive!" A different changeling shouted. "No changelings change! No changelings change!" He started to chant, pumping his hoof in the air. A few changelings joined in the chant, stomping one hoof on the ground and pumping the other in the air. Chrysalis looked at her subjects with a mix of concern and fear. She wouldn't be able to get through to them. She gave a stern look and stomped her hoof on the ground, showing that she was in charge. "I am your queen and you will do as I say!" Chrysalis shouted, stomping her hoof on the ground. Her subjects continued to chant, talking over Chrysalis. The changeling that started the chant flew in front of Chrysalis and waved his hooves in the air. "Do you think we deserve a queen who called off an invasion for some girl? Follow me and I will lead you all down the right path!" He shouted. All of the changelings cheered at that. "Follow me!" He exclaimed, flying above Chrysalis. Hundreds of changelings followed their new leader. They all flew into the night sky like a swarm of bats. Chrysalis watched as her subjects disappeared into the night sky. She let out a soft sigh and turned around. "Um, excuse me?" A male voice asked. Chrysalis turned back around to see three changelings. She looked them up and down. "Why didn't you leave with the others?" She asked with a scowl. A changeling stepped forward with a small smile on his face. "We think you're doing the right thing by being good." He said. Chrysalis looked at the three changelings, surprised that they wanted to join her. "What are your names?" She asked. Her hive was so big that she couldn't keep track of all of her subjects. "I'm Thorax, this is Ocellus, and that's Tymbal," Thorax said with a smile. Chrysalis eyed the three changelings. Thorax looked very eager to become good. Ocellus was hiding behind Thorax's leg, looking rather afraid. She looked very young compared to the other changelings. This must have been her first mission. Tymbal also looked happy to become good. She looked much more peaceful than Thorax. Chrysalis let out a sigh. "Let's go my subjects, we have a lot of good to do," Chrysalis said, turning around and walking away. Her subjects followed happily. She needed to make this work. Chrysalis, Thorax, Ocellus, and Tymbal walked into the throne room. Celestia sat on her throne and looked at Chrysalis and the other changelings. "Where are the rest of your subjects?" Celestia asked. Chrysalis stood up straight and kept a brave look on her face. "All of my subjects decided to start their own hive. These are the only ones that remain." She explained. Celestia let out a soft hum and looked the changelings up and down. "Tomorrow morning you four will fix the damages you did to the city," Celestia instructed. She gestured for a few guards to come over. "Please send these changelings to a guest room, I need to speak to Chrysalis privately." She said. Two guards nodded their heads and led the changelings out of the room. The heavy doors closed with a slam. Chrysalis swallowed nervously, dropping her brave composture. She hunched over in fear and started to tremble. As brave as Chrysalis seemed to be, she was terrified to be alone with Celestia. She was mad at Chrysalis and she had no idea what was going to happen. She knew how Celestia was when she was angry. "When you're done cleaning up the city, you will help Cadance with anything she needs until her wedding. You will also help Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Shining Armor for all of the trouble you put them through. You need to prove yourself worthy of my love." Celestia said in a cold tone. Chrysalis swallowed and nodded her head, taking a step back. Celestia flew off of her thrown and landed next to the changeling. "Let me show you to your room," Celestia said, walking past Chrysalis. Chrysalis trailed behind Celestia, hanging her head low. They both walked out of the throne room and walked down the hallway. Chrysalis looked around the castle. She had never stopped to look at the scenery of the castle. She was used to being in Celestia's old castle in the Everfree Forest and it wasn't as fancy as this one. Celestia and Chrysalis stopped in front of a door. Celestia opened the door to reveal a very pretty room. The walls were painted light purple and the floors were checker printed tile. There was a large bed in the middle of the room with big fluffy pillows and a soft quilt on it. There was a nightstand with a lamp next to the bed. "This is your new room. Theirs a journal in the nightstand. You might want to use it to write out your feelings." Celestia said, turning around. Chrysalis opened her mouth to say something kind to Celestia but closed it before she could say anything. "Get some rest Chrysalis, you have a lot of work to do tomorrow." She ordered while walking out of the room, closing the door behind her. Chrysalis walked over to her new bed and pressed her hoof on it. The bed was so soft that her hoof sunk right in. She sat down on the bed and sunk down into the mattress. She let out a hum of satisfaction. This was way more comfortable than her bed made out of twigs in the hive. Chrysalis glanced at the nightstand. She thought about what Celestia said about writing out her feelings. She sat up in bed and opened the drawer, pulling out a fuzzy, bright pink journal and a glitter pen. It was obviously meant for a child. She scowled at the sight of it. "She got me this to mess with me," Chrysalis stated with a soft scowl. She rolled her eyes and opened the journal to the first page. She started to write in with the journal with the bright blue glitter pen. She let the pen glide across the paper as she wrote hateful words onto the page. As she wrote, she started to feel better. Who knew writing about how you felt could make you feel better? Once Chrysalis finished writing, she let out a breath of relief and placed the journal back into the drawer. Chrysalis flopped back down onto the bed and closed her eyes. She needed to make everything right with Celestia.
