This is not one of Adagio Dazzle's better days. Due to horrendous grades ending her time at Canterlot University, she is at her wit's end, and is praying for a miracle. Surprisingly, she gets a letter in the mail from The Canterlot Home for the Mentally Deranged, due to her exceptional grades in Psychology. If she agrees to work there, helping around and taking care of the patients there, they will not only give her a full-time-job there, but will also be allowed to live in the wing used as a homeless shelter. Excited by this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, she happily accepts. However, she must contend not only with some of the twisted staff, but also with the mentally ill patients there, some harmless, some, not as much. Her only hopes are the compassionate and caring Nurse Redheart and a mysterious patient named Sunset Shimmer who has been rendered catatonic due to experiencing a psychotic break after the humiliation she had to go through after the disastrous (for her) events of the Fall Formal.
