Things had gone from bad to worse since your breakup and divorce from the bug queen, Chrysalis. While she had taken everything from you (including hours of ahem fake lovemaking), you had, at least, escaped with your dignity and morals. She couldn’t take that from you. Nevertheless, you couldn’t help but feel defeated as you trudged solemnly into Ponyville. Ponies looked at you and whispered behind their hooves to their friends…no doubt wondering who you were and why you had suddenly just popped out of the Everfree Forest. You ignored their looks of bewilderment and trotted into a nearby alley. From here, you were hidden from their eyes as they turned and went about their business once more. You had no idea what you were going to do. You had truly thought you and your bug queen would be together forever. Therefore, you had never made a plan to assist you in this kind of problem. On top of not knowing what you were going to do next, the weight of betrayal and confusion rose in the form of tears blurring your vision.
Why? Why would she do this to you? After spending 4 years with your wonderful queen, she tossed you out to the curb in favor of those pitiful changeling drones. Looking down at the envelope that you held in your magic, you thought back to her icy words as she hissed at you and slapped you.
“HERE! Take this, you worthless scum! And only open it when you reach Ponyville and not until then! NOW, GO! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN!”
You didn’t even know what you had done wrong, but as you opened the envelope and read the letter, your felt your stomach drop.
“Dear Anon,
I don’t really know how to say this as I am not good with words. But I am divorcing you. I have thought a lot about it and realized that you can’t provide me with the love my children can. They have attended to my…’needs’ when you weren’t around. And here’s where I should say ‘I’ve been having an affair with a group of them.’ I won’t go into details as this is surely going to break your heart, but I do not feel the same way about you that you feel for me. I’m sorry it had to be this way, but it’s for the best, as I feel keeping you around and lying to you about it would only hurt you more. It’s going to be hard to forget me, but you must try. Don’t expect me not to yell at you when giving you this letter, as I have to show my children who the queen is. I wish you all the best, but please, don’t write back or ever return to my hive.

You felt the tears pouring down your face and dripping off your muzzle. Quiet sobs echoing off the walls of the buildings around you. At this moment you felt nothing. An empty void filled your heart as your chest heaved.

You don’t know how long you sat there. Minutes, hours, several hours. All you knew was that you were homeless, loveless, and had been used for your love.
Looking up, you wiped your face off and held onto the crumpled letter. You decided that it would be best to start walking, so you got up and trotted into the street. But as you made it halfway across, you felt a tight pain in your chest, and your left foreleg went numb. You grunted loudly in pain as you collapsed, several ponies noticing and gasping. They galloped over to you as you held your chest and thrashed, one of them dialing 911.
“Hello!? Yes I’m at 2365 Cherry Lane in East Ponyville! A stallion has collapsed and is clutching his chest!”
Your breathing was shallow and rapid as you struggled for air. Despite your efforts to remain conscious, you saw spots form in your vision as you felt yourself slip into nothing.

When you came to, you heard the sound of a steady beeping and muffled voices.
“Thou say thou foundest the poor stallion like this?”
The voice was so familiar, yet, as you attempted to open your eyes, all you saw was a dark blue blurry figure.
“Yes, he collapsed in the street just as I was flying over on my way to the store.” The second voice was a different voice, a stallions voice.
“I see… Leavest him with me. I shall take care of him from here. Thou may be dismissed.”
The muffled sound of hoofsteps filled your ears as the dark figure leaned over you and studied you curiously.
“Hello? Can thou hearest me?”
You grunted in response as your hearing became less muffled and your vision less blurry. You breathed steadily as your eyes focused up into a big beautiful pair of purple irises staring back at you. You couldn’t believe your eyes.
“P...Princess Luna?” you mumbled weakly.
The Princess of the Night pressed a hoof to your lips gently.
“Shhh... Conserve thine strength.”
You groaned in tiredness as a migraine pounded your head.
“What....what happened?”
You felt the bed weigh down as Luna plopped herself down next to you. “Thou art in the hospital, thou had a heart attack from heartbreak.”
You groaned and tried to sit up only to be pushed back down gently by Luna’s soft hoof.
“Relax. Saveth thine energy. Thou heart needest time to recover.”
You nodded weakly and lay your head back once more. “W…why are you staying with me, Princess?”
The dark blue alicorn looked away for a second before turning back to you. “We...uh…we read your letter.”
You felt your stomach drop. “Oh...” you replied quietly, looking away, ears folded.
Luna let out a loving sigh. “Thou shouldest have known that Chrysalis would use you. We are sorry.”
You felt your eyes begin to water. “Four years she said she loved me.”
Luna leaned in and wrapped her hooves around you. “Shhh... Shed no more tears for her. She isn’t worth it.”
Somehow Luna’s words and hugs of comfort, were soothing to you. And, leaning in closer, you wrapped your hooves around her as well. The Princess of the Night then did something rather unexpected. Climbing up onto your bed, Luna lay herself atop you and closed her eyes.
"We shall stayeth with thee until thine body has fully recovered."

When you had awoken the next day, you looked over to the window to see that the sun was just beginning crest over the horizon. Blinking the morning haze out of your eyes, you yawned and stretched your limbs. As far as you could recall, you had never slept so good. You felt extremely well rested, and cozy at the same time.
“Mmm.. suh r-really warmmm..” you mumbled out.
Then you spotted the reasons why, laying halfway on your chest. Luna was fast asleep, her chest rising and falling with each soft breath she took. Her starry magical mane billowing effortlessly. Softly blushing, you laid a hoof on her head, and began to softly stroke her mane. The Princess of the Night cooed in quite an adorable way, as one of her ears flicked back. Letting your eyes travel to her horn, you noticed that it was glowing softly. Each one of the spirals wrapping around it, lit up in a soft blue glow. You weren’t sure what she was doing, but it had to be something to do with her duties as the protector of the dream realm. You stayed that way for a while, gently petting her mane as she slept. Eyes half closed, you felt yourself began to slowly slip back into slumber. That is until Luna yawned and opened her beautiful aqua-green eyes, a soft blush appearing on her dark blue cheeks.
“Well, good morning to thee dear anon. How did thouest sleep?” She asked, giggling softly.
You slowly pulled your hoof away and blushed harder than before.
“G-great,” you stammered out, “It was the best nights sleep I’ve had in weeks.”
The princess smiled and placed a hoof on your cheek.
“Good, that is what we were going for. Thou had started to kick and squirm in thine sleep. So, we figured thou must have been having a nightmare. We went into your dream and slayed the demons who were bringing thine slumber such peril.” She said smiling.
You blushed some more before placing your own hoof on her cheek, heart pounding in your chest as your cheeks burned hot. She was incredibly beautiful. Slender figure with just the right amount of flabby chub when she lay on her stomach. The way her ears occasionally flicked when you spoke to her. Those mesmerizing aqua-green eyes that melted your heart away with the love shining from them. And her succulent-
“Ahem”
You turned to look at the pony who had interrupted your thoughts, quickly pulling your hoof away from Lunas cheek. Nurse Red Heart stood in the doorway, letting a soft giggle escape from her lips.
“Hehehe.. if you two love birds are quite done. I have to take Anons vitals and give him his medicine.” She stated matter-of-factly.
Luna pulled her hoof away and slowly got off of you. To which you sadly let a whimper. The princess heard this and giggled herself, a sound which brought warmth to your heart.
“Worry not Anon, we shall resume our cuddle session upon Nurse Red Hearts dissipation from the room.” She said smiling.
You nodded and looked over at the nurse who was already writing down information from the EKG machine onto her clipboard.
“No irregular heartbeat, nice strong rhythm, the scans from yesterdays echocardiogram came in and there appears to be no long lasting tissue damage or blockages in your arteries. I’d say it was pony-flow-eptic shock that caused your heart attack Mr. Anon.” She said, setting the clipboard on the end of the bed for the doctor.
You raised an eyebrow, “ponyfloweptic shock?” You asked. Nurse Red Heart nodded.
“It’s a very rare form of shock specific to ponies, where the pain they are experiencing is so intense, their heart seizes up like a jammed gear in a watch. Most of the time it causes the pony to go into cardiac arrest, and can be extremely lethal. However from the blood work shown here... you’re not full pony?” She asked, frowning as she looked from hanging clipboard up to you.
You shook your head. “No I am half demon,” you said.
Nurse Red Heart looked surprised. “Half demon? But how is that even possible? Demons are a myth.”
Luna looked at you and then to Nurse Red Heart.
“Not exactly,” she said. “Demons do exist, but nopony has ever lived to tell the tale after they have encountered one.”
Opening your muzzle, you gave them an explanation.
“My mother was a Pegasus from Cloudsdale. And my father was Satan”
Nurse Redheart looked at you incredulously.
"You mean YOU are the son of the devil?" She asked. You nodded and showed her your long fangs which you'd covered previously for fear of what Luna might think.
"Yes, although.. I'm not going to try and kill everyone or enslave the world to do my bidding. That's more my dad's speed." You said, waving a hoof dismissively as the nurse let out a nervous chuckle. Letting out a chuckle of your own, you rubbed the back of your neck.
"Ehehehe.. kiddinggg. He's not gonna do that."
Nurse Red Heart nodded and grabbed the clipboard from the side table.
"Alrightyyyy then. Well I'll just go deliver these diagnostics to the cardiologist. And you should be free to go," she said, backing out if the room and shutting the door. Looking over at Luna, you sighed and looked up at the ceiling. Resting your head back on the pillow.
"You know Luna, you don't have to stay with me. I'm not much to look at, I have insecurities that plague me with fear. Not to mention what Chrysalis just put me through.. I'm a train wreck."
The princess looked at you and smiled softly.
"Thou is a train wreck with a heart of gold," she said. Trotting back to the bed and laying down beside you.
"I might be, but... I was with Chrysalis. Can you still love me the same knowing that I was with someone so cruel and heartless?" You asked, looking away.
Luna brought a hoof to your face, and turned your head softly to look at her.
"Chrysalis marked thee with scars of hurt and pain. Used thee as her love toy and mislead thee to believe she had feelings for thee. Everything thou has experienced with her tis fake. It matters not if thee has slept with her, or loved her at some point. Because it is in the past. Thou hath not been shown what true love is."
Luna smiled softly and lay her head on your chest.
"We request your permission to right the wrongs Chrysalis hath done to thee. We have never before engaged in a "relationship" before. But we are certain that thou shalt make a perfect mate."
Your cheeks tinted crimson when she stated the end of her sentence.
"Well? What say thee? We do not have to move fast, our sister has taught us relationships should move slow." Luna said. Nodding your head, you ran a hoof through her starry mane.
"Yes, I'd like to give love another shot. And I wouldn't mind if it was with you. You've already shown me more true compassion than she ever did. Just.. promise me one thing," you said. Luna looked up you.
"Yes?"
"Promise me you won't lead me on like she did. That you won't lie to me or hurt me. I was lucky to survive this previous ordeal." You said, closing your eyes.
"We promise thee, as the celestial gods as our witnesses." Princess Luna said, relaxing against you.

Hello! My goodness it's been a long time since I had started writing this. I'd lost the will to write after that first chapter largely in part to what Anons breakup is based off. It's based off of a breakup I went through back in April of 2020. It was the worst I'd ever had. But I'm happy to say I'll be continuing this story now. Thanks for reading!
