50 years before the rule of Celestia and Luna:
As Queen Faust watched over the ponies from the heavens, she had created, the earth ponies, the pegasi and the unicorns all created equally by her and to be treated equally. But her ponies didn't see it that way they were each better than the other. The unicorns lorded it over the earth and pegasi that they could move the sun and moon, the pegasi lorded over the unicorns and earth ponies that they could move the clouds and command the weather. But what did the earth ponies have...not very much they could move the earth and make food grow but that wasn't good enough for the pegasi and unicorns.
It wasn't until Grogar unknowingly brought the races together under his rule and they banished him thanks to Clover The Clever, but the earth ponies were still ridiculed they could control nothing but the very earth and even then just barely. Until one day an evil greater than Grogar could ever be awoke from a slumber older then Faust, now some of you may ask how is this evil older than Faust if she created Equis. The truth to that story is she didn't she was a new god just under a millennia old who decided to create her first world but what she didn't know was that the world she chose had been abandoned for a reason. This great evil crept from his hiding place in the only forest that didn't yield to the pegasi, and even Grogar's monsters refused to enter.
The old evil could feel the light of a new god and it's new creations and he smiled wickedly as he could smell their fear of the unknown, the fear of darkness, but what he could feel most was the imbalance. Every world no matter what it is is balanced good to evil, chaos to order, harmony to disharmony and as he wandered he felt his strength start to leave him. Going without food for so long had made him week and he couldn't walk the world well enough to feed, until he came upon a farm that reminded him of the one where he had been trapped for centuries until he escaped. There he found his ticket to the mortal realm once more.
POV: Jeeper Creeper
Jeeper was an ordinary earth pony, he got up every day with the sun and went to sleep with moon he never complained and he never bickered, but today he had finally snapped. "Those no damned good pegasi and unicorns telling me I have to give them all the ingredients for and the bread for free just to keep the sun and rain coming and I'm not the only one." He said "I swear by the deepest pits of Tartarus I will find a way to make them all pay" he shouted to the sky with as much venom as he could muster.
" Anything" a raspy voice said from what sounded like everywhere. "I can make that happen for you mortal."
"Oh yeah and how do you reckon to do that" Jeepers questioned. He knew better about trusting random voices and the little voice in his head was telling him to run,but his anger and curiosity got the better of him.
"I can make you mortal" the voice said "And all you have to do is every twenty three years for twenty three days is eat those that control and threaten you,as many as you want. Think about it the earth ponies will finally have something over the other races, a way to keep them in line if you will." The voice finished.
" Let me get this straight?" Jeppers asked for 22 years I get to sleep peacefully and on the 23rd year for 23 days I get to cannibalis those that Lord power over those that have none, I become the immortal boogeyman of those that threaten the weak and underpowered?"
"However you see fit to feed them yes" the strange voice said. " So long as you feed you will never be weak, you will never tire and nothing will ever stop you, what do you say mortal? Willing to make a deal with a demon?"
"Show yourself." Jeeper's said. "Then I'll give you my answer.
"Very well mortal, but if you run away when you see me then you deal your fate." The voice said as a tall bipedal figure walked out in front of Jeeper's, stood a 6' 8" bipedal being who looked horribly disfigured. At that moment Jeeper's small voice and instincts were telling him to run but, he had already made up his mind he wanted the earth ponies to have something to Lord over the other races, away to have respect even if it meant they received it through fear.
"You have yourself a deal demon" Jeeper's said. At that the Creeper smiled "so now what?" Jeepers finished. "Now" the Creeper said the deal will be completed" and with that the Creeper turned himself into must and entered the body of Jeeper's.
All of a sudden Jeeper went from being a three and a half foot tall earth pony, and turned into an 8 foot tall manticore, earth pony hybrid. His coat turned a sickly brownish grey, the whites of his eyes turned yellow as his Iris turned black and mixed with his pupils. He sprouted 3 foot long leathery wings on his back, and Sharp teeth filled his jaw and 5 leg like appendages with webs grew on his face.
He had passed out from the pain of the transformation, but when he awoke he galloped into his house to find his mirror. But what looked back at him was still himself. 'Only at night will you change into the monster you wanted to become, and once that happens your name will ring through out history.' The voice laughed in his head. "A fair trade" whispered Jeeper's 'As long as they pay' he thought to himself and the voice.
It had been about three hours since the Jeepers struck the deal with the demon who he found out was known as the Creeper. He had figured the sooner he got started the better because he already felt hungry and not just for revenge. 'So Creeper how do we do this?' He questioned the voice in his head 'However you think it needs to go down, once you start getting kills you can make weapons from their body parts, like teeth, and bones twined together. I also have a one handed battle axe that can be used if you wish' the Creeper said back.
"Good" Jeeper said aloud as he trotted down the dirt road from his homestead into the small town of Manehattan. The town had been growing lately and Jeepers was thankful that he lived a couple miles away but with the influxes of unicorns and pegasi he knew it wasn't going to be long until he had to move to a more rural location for his farmstead. As he continued down the path to town he started thinking of other towns he could restart his homestead.
A place where no one would come looking, somewhere secluded and remote, yet still close enough to major cities to hunt. As Jeepers finally entered Manehattan, he decided to trot through the side alleys, mostly because he knew he'd get harassed sooner than later and be able to feed, but he also knew that if he took the main roads he'd get harassed by the pegasi that threatened him and his farm and he'd be unable to do anything about it in public. So as he moved quickly and quietly through the alleys, he decided to slow to a walk mostly because he was nearing the shopping district and he needed a new hat and a trench coat that could accommodate the creepers wings when he decided to let them free, and his old coat was to ragged to even fix.
Just as Jeepers was nearing the exit of the alley beside the mercantile, his exit was blocked by a large pegasus. "Lightning Dust" Jeepers said "what do you want?" Lightning Dust was an above average size pegasus most pegasi are shorter than the other races of pony by five inches but Lightning stood at about five foot seven about seven inches taller than most ponies. Lightning had cyan fur with a wired rainbow contrail in his mane and tail.
"I want the same thing I always want when you come to town Jeeper" Lightning said "the money for my protection." And at that four other pegasi defended from the roofs or the sky of the nearby buildings, backing Jeepers up until they were no longer in view of the street or sky, a tactic the pegasi had used before to beat money out of earth ponies. "And if you don't pay up" Lightning continued as he grabbed Jeeper by the scruff of his neck and lifted him ever so slightly off the ground "You won't be walking out of here."
At that Jeeper just started laughing and not a normal laugh but a deep howling cackle. "Why are you laughing you inconsiderate *smack* no nothing *smack* good for nothing *smack* useless earth pony" Lightning asked angrily.
"Because" Jeepers said darkly as his eyes turned black "I haven't had this easy of a meal in years" he finished as he let the Creeper transform his body and because Lightning was still gripping his fur he was brought up about three feet from the ground, the bloody nose Jeepers had healed and his distorted flesh of his Creeper form had no damage. At that Lightning let go and fell the three feet to the ground landing on one of his wings, "Don't just stand there" Lightning shouted as he stood up "Kill him!"
The first pegasi jumped at the Creeper but the he was easily caught and had his wings ripped from his spinal column, as he dropped screaming in bloody horror, two others tried to go for him at the same time from different angles,but again the Creeper easily caught them by the scruff of there necks. He slightly squeezed the air out of there necks as he bashed their heads together knocking them out the two were having none of it and booked it as fast as they could out of the dead end and to their freedom. All that were left was a writhing mass of pegasus with no wings, two unconscious lackeys and the Lightning Dust who was rooted to the spot with fear.
"Now my little play thing" The Creeper said menacingly "I don't think I'll ever have to pay you for protection ever again." He finished saying while cackling madly as he stalked forward to REAp the rewards of a fresh hunt.
