Enchanted Evening

Fluttershy gripped her rubber ball with all her strength, as much as she could muster in complete concentration. With a deep breath, she proceeds to squeeze is before winding back to make the pitch.

Screaming through the air, the ball smacked itself into the right corner. But this time, it made a dent in the can, knocking it down with the greatest of ease. With one can knocked down, the rest toppled to the floor like dominoes. It was a sight to behold for Fluttershy, she could hardly breathe.

After enduring a lifetime of disappointment, Fluttershy finally received her happiness. To name this a perfect achievement would be overstating things; nevertheless, Fluttershy was happy.

“Congratulations!” The operator shouts, through grinning teeth. “Pick your prize!”

“Yay!” Fluttershy cheered, gleefully.

Fluttershy latched onto Rainbow Dash, holding onto her in a loving manner.

“Which one do you like, Rainbow Dash?”

Rainbow Dash shifts her gaze toward the following three prizes: A small teddy bear on the upper left, a fox in the center, and a turtle just to the right.

“Don’t matter to me, Fluttershy,” Rainbow shrugged. “I trust you’ll like whichever you get.”

Unfortunately, that answer wouldn’t satisfy Fluttershy, as she playfully pouts.

“C’mon, pick your favorite. Please?”

“All right, all right,” Rainbow Dash chuckled, eyeing the choices. “The turtle is cute… But not as cute as you.”

“Oh, Dash,” Fluttershy conceded, spinning around.

The Game Operator grabs the toy, passing it to Fluttershy. Even though Rainbow Dash was annoyed, nothing made her satisfied more than seeing Fluttershy happy. For once in her life, Fluttershy had beaten a game that was almost impossible. It wasn’t much, but it felt empowering. Especially since she now opened up to Rainbow Dash about her feelings, now they could spend more time together.

“I’m gonna call you Mr. Turtle,” Fluttershy declared, hugging it.

Her new reward, Mr. Turtle, not as soft as Mr. Bunny, but so fulfilling just the same.

The sun slowly dipped into a dusky glow, as Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy walked hand-in-hand. Fluttershy looked at her phone, which read 6:24 pm just around quitting time. Early outbursts aside, this was perhaps one of Fluttershy’s best days ever. Not just because she spent a full day with Rainbow Dash, but because she finally professed her love to her.

But suddenly, the Ferris Wheel was in the midst of her eyesight. It shined against the sunset, a truly breathtaking sight.

“Hey, Rainbow Dash?”

Rainbow Dash turned to her with a bright and warming smile. But then, Rainbow’s smile faded into concern when she saw tears in Fluttershy’s eyes.

“You okay?”

“Never great, silly,” Fluttershy said, happily. “It’s just… I’ve never felt happier in my entire life.”

Fluttershy meant every word, not of hint of insincerity on her face. In a playful manner, Rainbow Dash grabbed Fluttershy’s hand and spun her around in a swift circle. Fluttershy was enjoying herself… But remembering her plan, she stops and points toward the Ferris Wheel.

“Can we ride one more thing today? Pretty please?”

Had Rainbow Dash been honest, the last ride she’d ever go on is the Ferris Wheel. There were plenty of amazing rides the park can offer. But then again, even if there were more exciting rides, she would hardly choose them over an easygoing ride on the Ferris Wheel with the most loving, caring girl anybody could ever ask for.

Rainbow Dash nodded, grabbed her by the hand and pulls her along.

“Whoa! Slow down, Rainbow Dash!” Fluttershy giggled, playfully.

The girls wasted no time reaching the last booth on the ride. It slowly rode high enough to see the setting sun in the night sky, rewarding the girls with an admirable view above. For these two friends, it was truly a sight to behold.

“Here, Rainbow Dash,” Fluttershy whispered, presenting the turtle. “I want you to have Mr. Turtle.”

Rainbow Dash felt mixed over her offer. She knew Fluttershy was being nice though, she lacked the comprehension over it. Of course, Rainbow Dash wanted to know why she won that prize, specifically the turtle. In Dash’s mind, that turtle was a sense of accomplishment she earned, so why give it to Rainbow Dash?

Her confusion must have given it away for Fluttershy’s eager smile shifted into a more mellow, earnest, gentle grin.

“Don’t worry, he’s yours. You earned him; like how you already earned me.”

“So… You wouldn’t mind if I changed his name?” Rainbow Dash asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Anything you want.”

Reluctantly taking the turtle from Fluttershy’s grasp, Rainbow Dash gazed into its black-dotted eyes, then to the loving eyes of her longtime friend.

“Fluttershy, you are—”

“The bestest friend you ever made?” Fluttershy finished. “I know. Now you have something to remember whenever you wake up at daybreak, like… When we first met.”

When Fluttershy mentioned that, as the booth stopped at the very top of the Ferris Wheel, and the evening sun reflected off Fluttershy’s face, Rainbow was speechless before the orange glow bouncing off her. Finally, she couldn’t hold it anymore, leaning in to plant another kiss along Fluttershy’s lips which she returned without hesitation. Emotions stirred everywhere, as Rainbow caressed one hand along Fluttershy’s cheeks, then along the shoulders, and brushed down along her body. The moans were muffled in their embrace until the booth started to go down and they separated.

“You’re wrong,” Rainbow Dash chuckled. “You’re not just my best friend; you are the best girl that ever existed in the entire universe. I love you, Fluttershy.”

Hearing this, Fluttershy grabbed Rainbow Dash in a huge embrace. She didn’t want to release her; she wished today would last forever. It was ironic all the same, considering the earlier plans she had for her best friend. Perhaps by coincidence, she tried to be as selfish as Soarin’. If her being selfish was bad now, Fluttershy didn’t want to be right.

“I’ve always loved you,” Fluttershy reminded. “I can hardly remember a time we were separated. Perhaps Soarin’ is your destined soulmate, but I’m very happy you chose to be with me.”

“You say that like you’re worth less than him,” Rainbow Dash whispered. “Last I checked, you didn’t want to leave me. Honestly, I should be ashamed I made you impatient.”

“Please, I couldn’t care less about who should be with who anymore. We can play this all day long, but no matter wins, you’re worth move than any other boy I’ve met.”

“And you’re the girl that was meant for me, took me a while to figure that out.”

Pretty soon, the ride came back down, the couple departed from the Ferris Wheel, and then eventually made their way towards the exit line. Tightly clutching Mr. Turtle, Rainbow Dash moved her right arm around Fluttershy’s waist.

“Fluttershy, this has been the best day ever and I love you for planning this for me.”

There were many times Fluttershy felt less than nothing, hardly bringing herself to leave her bed. Though those days still exist, they became rather rare. But either way, today was Fluttershy’s moment more than Rainbow’s. True, her earlier plans had gone up in smoke, but karma paid her back in the best possible way.

“I love you more,” Fluttershy smirked, proudly. “I just hate that your special day has to end.

“Well, that’s life,” Rainbow Dash shrugged. “But today was the most fun I’ve had in my life. You convinced me to come here, not just for the rides, but to finally come clean about your true feelings… And I’m proud of you for that.”

Just then, Fluttershy was overwhelmed with an incredibly bright blush.

“Y-Yeah. Sorry, for losing it back there.”

“Don’t sweat it. If it’s any consolation, now you won’t lose it again.”

“Yea…”

A cute yawn escaped Fluttershy’s lips, as they pass through the park gates back into the city. Their hands grasped; they slowly walk their way home together happily discussing various topics even planning dates. Along the way, they slowly embraced the face they were officially a couple. It was piling so much upon Fluttershy, she nearly felt the urge to faint.

By the time they arrived, the day was nearing its end, and they were just inches away from Fluttershy’s house. The light emitting from the lampposts bounced along their skin.

“Well, I guess this wraps up today,” Fluttershy said, slightly disappointed. “Back in this little place we call Earth.”

Rainbow Dash merely shook her head, chuckling with a smile toward her girlfriend.

“You know? Nothing is ever truly over, so long as we choose to make it that way.”

“Huh?”

“Well, I was just thinking… My folks are away and won’t be back for the rest of the weekend. I was thinking… I could come in with you, if you’d like.”

In an instant, every dirty thought coursed through Fluttershy as her body temperature skyrockets to infinity.

“A-Are you t-talking about—”

“A sleepover!” Rainbow finished, winking.

“A sleepover!” Fluttershy cheered. “Why didn’t I think of that before? But wait…”

While Fluttershy’s cheeks reddened with relief, a concern was brought up over Rainbow’s innocent idea.

“Aren’t you worried you didn’t bring anything? Like nightwear or toiletries or…”

“Don’t worry about it, we’ll improvise. Come on!”

The two girls rushed for the house, with Fluttershy practically pulling her inside so quickly the door seemed to close on its own, clicked and sealed. They took their seat onto the couch, beaming with expectation.

“So, what do you wanna do first?” Fluttershy inquired.

“Well…” Rainbow Dash thought, stroking her chin. “How about a movie?”

“That sounds wonderful! What sounds good to you?”

“Hmm… How about a little something for Nostalgia’s sake? Do you still have that old DVD?”

Fluttershy felt suspicious, but she giggled as it all came together.

“Of all the new movies we could enjoy together, you choose something that old. Why?”

“The real question is: Why not?”

Fluttershy went over and took the aforementioned disc, which conveniently sat at the very top of the DVD rack. After setting the television feature, slid the disc into the DVD player, and skipping all the commercials toward the menu, the movie itself played on command as they gathered on the couch.

Rainbow Dash tils her head upwards to face Fluttershy, as they snuggled warmly under the furry blanket. They used to do this during every sleepover, the early years when they knew nothing of responsibility. But today, this was a magical moment. It could be the reason Fluttershy endlessly stared into Rainbow Dash’s eyes, no words just letting her mind wander. Either way, Rainbow Dash didn’t mind as she enjoyed the view.

“Hello, Earth to Fluttershy?” Rainbow playfully cooed.

One snap of her fingers along Fluttershy’s ear and she jolted back to reality.

“Oh! Y-Yeah,” Fluttershy smirked. “Sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.”

Rainbow Dash then ran her hand along Fluttershy’s right cheek, the caress of the fingertips startling Fluttershy, as if she were sensing an out-of-this-world experience.

“Spacing out, are we?” Rainbow asked, smirking.

“Nothing I would call spacing out,” Fluttershy replied. “The view is… Breathtaking…”

“You had me at ‘breathtaking’.”

“What about the movie?”

“Hmm… This is better.”

Their lips made contact once again, sparking like the positive and negative energy of a battery filled with passion. Fluttershy lovingly wrapped her arm around her lover’s back, stroking her shoulder blades as Rainbow moaned. Rainbow Dash slowly kissed her way past her friend’s lips, coursing along her neck as Fluttershy began to sigh, her eyes closed enjoying the moment. Soon, Rainbow Dash leaned a little close, tilting down toward her center, one hand slowly tilting one strap of the dress… And fell on her. Fluttershy gasped from the tumble, the blanket covering them up, leaving them looking deep into each other’s eyes.

“Rainbow Dash,” Fluttershy whispered. “I-I want you… I want you t-to…”

“Yes…?” Rainbow asked, smiling.

Rainbow Dash was wondering if Fluttershy was ready for the unthinkable, leaning forward for one more kiss…

“I… I-I want you… To dance with me!”

It was dumb luck her rational side came back forefront, her blushing face betraying any ideas she was thinking. As embarrassing as this was, Rainbow Dash was aware such things should be ready when they could fully trust each other, and they’ve had all the time to spend together. Besides, if Rainbow was frustrated, she did not show any anger, but she understood. Fluttershy felt relived their time hasn’t come so long as they were very understanding.

“That sounds wonderful, Flutters,” Rainbow Dash nodded.

“Flutters?” Fluttershy asked, stifling a laugh. “What kind of name is ‘Flutters’?”

Rainbow Dash got up, sweeping Fluttershy off the ground. She stole a kiss from here but stopped there.

“A special name for the sweetest girl in the whole wide world,” Rainbow answered.

Smiling, Fluttershy drew her phone from her pocket.

“Would you mind if I choose the song?”

“Go ahead,” Rainbow shook her head. “Whatever you want.”

Though the bass wasn’t loud as the music, in this case playing their tango, eventually the gentle melodies took over. A romantic pop tune fills the room with warmth, as they slow-dance with one another. To her surprise, Fluttershy had the courage to play that very same song, that echoed in the school bathrooms where she spent the night crying. The last thing she ever wanted was to remember the song; however, she wasn’t sad. In fact, this song filled her with a new joy, as if she had forgotten that depressing memory all together.

“Rainbow Dash? Do you know why I chose this song?”

As a matter of fact, Rainbow Dash did remember the reason. She frowned, but out of concern more than frustration. Fluttershy was unaware her smile was a tad strained.

“This song is familiar,” Rainbow Dash admitted. “I don’t get it.”

And it was in that moment Fluttershy realized… Maybe she was rushing things. Here she was thinking she’s ready to let the past go, not realizing she was focusing on herself and possibly not how Rainbow Dash felt.

“I-I’m sorry,” Fluttershy lamented, remorsefully. “I-I-I-I was just…”

“Shh,” Rainbow Dash cooed, gently. “It’s okay, I’m not mad. I just want to know one thing: Why this song?”

Fluttershy knew there was no walking out of this conversation, sooner or later Rainbow Dash was bound to know. She never meant to guilt Rainbow Dash all the same, but it was more than enough to make her emotional state snap like a toothpick. She took a deep breath and looked her friend in the eye.

“I wanted to forget this song for so long,” Fluttershy revealed, tearing up. “It used to me so much, I only—Y-You had no idea h-h-h-how m-m-m-much it hurt to see you with him. I-I-I personally asked the D.J. to play that song because I-I-I knew it was your favorite and I wanted to b-be with on t-t-that floor when it played. And now, here we are together, and I just wanted those bad memories to end. I-I didn’t think it would harm you t-t-too. Please don’t be mad at me.”

Rainbow Dash moved her hands toward Fluttershy’s face, wiping away the tears as gentle as she could. Now that she sees herself in her girlfriend’s reflection, deep within those eyes, she realized… She was crying too, as if the guilt truly had arrived.

“No, please don’t cry!” Fluttershy begged. “Not today of all days; I-I’m so sorry.”

But despite the pain, Rainbow Dash just smiled at her.

“I’m not crying because I’m hearing this song.”

“Huh?”

Rainbow Dash brushed a hand across Fluttershy’s back, startling her a bit.

“It’s just… I’m so lucky to have you.”

Fluttershy sniffed, returning the smile at long last.

“S-Same.”

As they made another slow turn, Rainbow Dash gently takes the phone from the counter and unlocks it.

“How’s about I pick the next song? A song just for us.”

“Rainbow Dash, I… I would love it, very much!”

Rainbow Dash, the phone in hand, flips through a random playlist of romance songs. It took her a while, but eventually she found a song that was just right for the two. Wrapping her arms around Fluttershy’s waist, they proceed to slow-dance together. All that remained was the graceful melody that filled the house, Fluttershy feeling much better hearing this tune. So much, she found herself dancing with her through the living room, up the stairs, toward her bedroom, which Rainbow opened herself as they danced. Eventually they danced for so long, the girls found themselves tuckered out.

“Wow!” Fluttershy sighed, sitting on the bed.

“I know, right?” Rainbow asked, taking some deep breaths. “You are just full of surprises.”

Fluttershy smiles as she settle down along the bed, as Rainbow Dash sat herself up, takes her cellphone from her short pockets and places it on the bedside desk. It was getting late and they figured they might as well get comfortable for bed. She reaches her arms through her t-shirt, fumbles with the straps along her shoulders, and finally unhooks the garment before loosening it through her shit and casually tossing it aside. Then, she unzips her short-shorts and slides them down, till all she had was her t-shirt and panties with lightning bolts.

“Hope you don’t mind, Flutters. Figured since it’s just the two of us—”

Rainbow Dash didn’t finish when she suddenly caught something tossed toward her. She looks down and in her grasp is Fluttershy’s dress she wore during their trip to the park… Among several other articles. Rainbow looks up and sees her lover was lying comfortable in bed, the bedsheets covering every portion of her body except her smiling face, the bits of her pink hair covering her eyes. It didn’t take long to see what Fluttershy had done, as Rainbow Dash slowly slides herself into bed till, they were side-to-side. Fluttershy merely smiling towards her friend the whole time.

“You know I’m all about going fast,” Rainbow continued. “But if you’re not comfortable with this—”

“Shh…” Fluttershy interrupts, putting a finger on her lips. “Take me…

No words were needed as Rainbow Dash nodded, the two leaning their heads for a passionate kiss as they wrapped their arms around each other, and Rainbow caressed around Fluttershy’s exposed canvas. Rainbow then pulls the sheets over them, fumbling and moaning as they made love that would last a lifetime. The sheets shuffled about till Rainbow’s arm emerges, her removed t-shirt in her grip, which she casually lets it fall toward the floor. Then she reaches over to the bed lamp and switches off the lights, leaving the two love birds ‘dancing in the dark’.

Several hours had passed, as the lovely young couple were lying in bed after a passionate display. They were asleep together, Rainbow nestling comfortably atop of Fluttershy and her soft ‘pillows’. After everything that’s happened, this was the perfect end to a perfect day. As they were dozing, Fluttershy’s face said it all: Pure satisfaction.

Moans were loose as a body stirred, that being Rainbow Dash. The young teen lets out a yawn, as she rubs the sleep from her eyes and looks over toward Fluttershy with a warm smile.

“Hey, Fluttershy?” Rainbow Dash yawned.

“Hmm?” Fluttershy opened one eye.

“I’m gonna go downstairs and grab a midnight snack. Got a case of the munchies.”

“You’re starting to sound an awful lot like me.”

“Coming from you… That’s the best thing I’ve heard.”

Rainbow kisses Fluttershy on the neck, as Fluttershy giggles. She watches as Rainbow Dash rose from the bed, her bare back exposed and initially in nothing but the panties which she adjust. She kneels down and picks up her discarded T-Shirt, slipping it back on before leaving the bedroom to head downstairs.

While she waited, Fluttershy rolls over and checks her clock. The time read 11:50 pm, they lost count over how long they’ve both made love and went to sleep but that didn’t matter… This night was just perfect. Fluttershy was about to turn and rest her eyes when she hears a vibrating noise from her desk. She turns and notices Rainbow’s cellphone glowing. While still under the sheets, she takes the phone and notices one voice message. She recognized the one name it came from, a glare forming on her face.

“Soarin’…” Fluttershy whispered, harshly.
