"Ughhhhhhh", I groan slowly waking up in the morning. Call me (y/n), and right now I'm currently slumped on my back leaning of the edge of my couch after a late night gaming session.

"Jeez, how did I even end up in this position" I say still very groggy and refusing to get up and go into the town I've been mysteriously trapped in. Yeah, it's weird, I remember that it was kinda close to my first year of high school, and we'll uh-

Flashback

I was walking down the street with my friend when we came up on a manhole cover, except this one was special. This one was extremely flimsy, and was famous for people who weren't paying attention nearly fall in. Now this, is where I come in.

"Hey, I'll give you 25 dollars to dance on that" my friend Derrick says tells me.

"Double it, and ill do you one better with the dance" I said smirking.

"Deal." said Derrick.

I walked up to the manhole cover and started dancing. I made sure that my feet would land on it extremely hard, while it was making all kinds of shifting sounds. I notice that Derrick has pulled out his phone and is filming me, that's when I make the worst decision of my life.

"Alright, make sure you get this. Imma do a full flip, and nothing will happen to me."

I get in position, and jump in the air, hit the flip and land on the cover, except when I land. The manhole cover seems to be dropping, and I'm going with it.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH", I scream praying for some type of saviour. Next thing I knew had landed somewhere that looked like a school campus. Unfortunately I landed pretty hard on my back and part of my neck, which gives me pretty bad neck pain sometimes. Thankfully, the principal of the school found me near passed out on school grounds, and was able to help me out. Of course telling her that I had come from a different dimension wouldn't have made sense, so I opted for the amnesia route. And she gave me the hookup with a apartment, and a lot of money. In turn, I still have to go through the fringe hell known as high school.

Although, I was able to make a group of friends the first year I was enrolled at Canterlot High, and very recently, is as able to make another after some events that I didn't bother to show up for.

Flashback End

*KNOCK KNOCK*

Speaking of recent friend, here comes one right now, right on schedule. Through my blurry vision I see a girl with fire colored hair come through my door.

"Hey Sunset", I say yawning.

"(y/n), I have to ask, do you avoid sleeping on your bed?"

"No, w- *yawns* what would make you say that?"

"Because everytime I come in here, I find you either on the floor, in some weird position on the couch, or like last week how I found you sprawled out across your own kitchen counter." She says that last part sarcastically.

"Look Sunset, when the body says fall asleep, you don't ask questions. You just drop everything, and go to sleep. Don't matter the position." I say as if I'm high.

Sunset rolls her eyes. "Well, this position here, will no doubt have a effect on your neck and back injuries. Now turn over so I can do the morning check."

I muster the strength to go lay on my stomach as I feel Sunset roll up the back of my shirt. Yeah, I forgot to mention, after not showing up to school due to my injuries upon arrival, Celestia tasked Sunset with checking in on me every morning. Apparently it helps with the "furthering of her reformation" or some other crap Celestia said. I really wasn't listening at the time.

"Ready?"

"Yeah" I'm still saying like I'm extremely tired.

I feel her press her hand into my back slowly, trying to see if I make any sounds that indicate pain in an area. A minute goes by, with no back pain.

"Alright good, now take the medicine for your neck." she says as she gets up and walks to the door.

"Wait what? I don't have any pain in my neck though." I say in protest.

Sunset just looks at me with a face that says "really?".

"If you don't believe me, then come and test my neck." I say as I lay back down.

Eventually Sunset gives in and comes back over to the couch and begins the test on my neck. I feel her pressing into my neck, with no reaction from me.

"See, no reac-OWWWWWWWWWWW." I scream in pain as she reaches the center of my neck.

"Yep just like I thought, your neck was really stretched out when I came in, so take your medicine."

"Fiiiiiine."

I get up and pop the pill I've been given in my mouth and down it with some water. After, I start getting ready for school, shower and all. After my daily preparations, I walk out of my apartment to find Sunset waiting for me.

"Ready?" Sunset asks

"Uhh yeah." I say awkwardly. Okay, I gotta ask her something.

"Hey, Sunset?"

"Yeah? What's up?"

"Ya know, you've really been making it a point to walk to school together."

"Oh, I have? Huh, I didn't notice." She says this while blushing. Something's up.

"You hot? Your face is turning red."

"Huh?!?! No I'm fine! Cmon we gotta go or we'll be late!" She says as she runs out of the building.

Timeskip

We're almost to CHS, and I remember something I should've asked before we left.

"Hey Sunset, what are we actually doing today."

"Oh, we're just making posters for the Musical Showcase for the first half today."

Oh yeah right, the showcase. Why do I feel an impending doom attached to this showcase?

bzzt bzzt

I'm snapped out of my thoughts by my phone, which is somehow still attached to the dimension I came from. The alert its giving me, a sports alert from my favorite football team? Guess it's Sunday over there. Let's see this.

"*sigh* Of course."

"What's wrong?" Sunset seems to notice my despair.

"Nothing. Just the usual disappointment of my life in the other dimension."

"Rrriiight. Look, just meet us in the gym, we'll be waiting for you."

"Okay." Sunset walks off, and I notice three girls walk into the school behind her. That feeling of impending doom I had earlier just gets bigger at the site of them. Eventually I get caught staring by the orange one, and for the longest time we stare at each other. Until finally the purple one taps her, and they enter the school.

"Well, that was weird." I say as I turn on my phone, put on my headphones and put on Elevator by Eminem.

"Love this song!" I say as I enter the school.

"I don't know who that boy was, but I know I want him with me. Not as some lacky or servant, but as an actual partner. After all, he won't have a choice once we take over."
