Episode 2: Electrifying Rampage
Chapter 2: The Ancient Rampage
"what are you doing with your brother sweetie?"
"I'm teaching him how to preform a beam attack!"
"Just be careful honey you remember what happened when you preformed your beam attack."
Yeah I know, come on little guy let's practice!"
"Okay sis!"
"Kids".
Sam found themselves sitting in Commander Celestia Solstice’s office. It was spacious, a blue carpet flooring with the CAT insignia printed at the centre of the floor, a mahogany wood desk with a gold coloured name plate sitting in front, one bookshelf set off Sam’s left filled with old books and some newer ones, mostly novels, manuals, law books, and older looking books. To his right was a small trophy case showing Cat Concordia Base’s various accommodations, sports and academic victories, and some of her and Vice Commander Luna’s old glory days pictures. Behind Celestia was a window that showed the outside of the base, they were a significant ways up as Celestia could see a good amount of the base and Academy.
However, Commander Celestia wasn’t the only person in the room, the Grand Inquisitor – ahem – Vice Commander Luna, was busy giving the teen a scrutinizing look while her older sister was conveying a more stern, motherly gaze.
“What exactly were you thinking, transforming in the middle of the city like that?! And initiating combat?!” Vice Commander Luna asked.
Sam sat with his arms and legs crossed as he gave a cocky smirk. “I thought your guys could use a hand, because clearly, they were getting their asses handed to them.”
“Please watch your language, Samuel,” said Celestia.
“Sorry, but seriously, what’s the big deal? Yeah, I transformed, and in the process, I destroyed the monsters and saved the lives of every CAT agent and the civilians, you’re welcome!”
Celestia glanced towards her little sister. “She does have a point, Luna, this Terra Beasts were a bit tougher than what we usually face. Had Sam not stepped in, I fear that instead of injuries, we’d have dead bodies.”
Luna did concede the point, it was true. CAT Concordia Base prided itself with keeping civilian and combat personnel casualties to a minimum, there was no such thing as “acceptable loses”, it was why their air and land attack vehicles had strong armour and protective shielding. “I do commend you for your swift action in eliminating the Terra Beasts before it could do more harm, for that you do have my thanks.”
“On that note, Sam, I thought you said you weren’t going to transform? That you didn’t want to become that giant man version of yourself?” Celestia noted.
Sam’s smug demeanour cracked a little. “Um…well…it was a special case; I was in danger and my ride to get back to the base was smashed by some random debris. I wasn’t close to a shelter either so…you know, option B.”
Celestia raised an eyebrow but nodded at her response. “Alright, you’re dismissed then.” Sam stood up and began walking towards the door, but not before Celestia said, “Should you need to change again, you know you don’t need permission, I just ask that you use your best judgement when you do.”
The redhead stopped for a second, glanced over his shoulder, and nodded before finally he finally exited. Celestia leaned back in her chair as she smiled a little, this did not go unnoticed by her little sister.
“What’s with that grin, Sister?” Luna asked.
“He was lying,” said Celestia.
“Pardon?”
“He didn’t transform just because he felt like it, he did it to protect someone.”
Luna blinked in surprise. “What – how do you know?”
Celestia brought up a holo-screen and said, “Because I checked the records of all vehicles that were rented and taken off campus, one of which was registered to Sam, but onboard systems show that three other occupant entered the vehicle with him before leaving the campus.”
“But…why would he not say that?” Luna asked in confusion. “Is saving someone’s life truly such an embarrassing thing?”
“I think it’s having to do more with the fact that what he said and what he wants to do is conflicting with his innate sense of protection. He must’ve found something worth protecting enough to become Scorn.” Celestia stood up from her desk and peered through the window as she contemplated her next move. “I think it’s time we created that special team we were discussing.”
“You really want to create a counter measure team centred around that boy? Tia, we still don’t know who or what he really is! For all we know, he could be a far bigger threat than the Elemental Beasts themselves!” Luna argued.
“That may very well be the case.”
“Then–!”
“But, that is precisely why I believe that a circle of friends, of comrades, can make all the difference in the world.”
Luna sighed as she joined her big sister, gazing at the rising moon together. “But a group of first years…?”
“A group of exceptionally talented first years.”
Just then the telephone rang. Luna picked it up, talked a little and hung up.
“Who was that?” Celestia asked.
“It was Igneous Rock Pie”, Luna replied, “He says that his men found an ancient eggs in the Ore Mines”.
[Dormitory Alpha, 8:30 pm]
Sam stood before his dorm room door, he swiped his hand over the pad, activating the holographic display to show the current occupant of the room. Fluttershy and Twilight’s name showed up, and Sam sighed in response. When Sam became Scorn, he managed to clear the rubble that confined them, allowing the three girls to slip away unharmed. Now though, he wasn’t sure how Twilight and Fluttershy would react to them after seeing such a strange thing.
“One of them might’ve locked me out after what happened… no they can’t Sunset’s not in… but guess I should knock anyway…”
The redhead gently rapped his knuckles against the door, ‘doubtful that Twilight or Fluttershy would answer. And would they? They just saw me transform into a 50-meter-tall man who can shoot energy beams from her hands!’
The door quickly flung open and, without warning, Fluttershy grabbed a hold of Sam and dragged him inside the room, shutting the door quickly behind them. Before Sam could properly react, Fluttershy threw Sam into Twilight and the two of them quickly embraced him, making the redhead blush from the contact.
“We’re so glad you’re alright!” Twilight exclaimed.
Sam was caught off guard. “You…You are?”
Twilight and Fluttershy separated themselves from Sam to look at him with an incredulous gaze. “Of course, we are! The last thing we saw was you flying off into the distance, we didn’t know if you were hurt or if you died or…or what?!” Twilight looked at Sam, who had a dumbfounded expression. “Sam, you are alright, right?”
“Huh, oh, yeah – Yeah! I am, it’s just I’m surprised is all. You’re not afraid or at all weirded out by me?” Sam asked.
Twilight rubbed the back of her head nervously while Fluttershy rubbed her arm. “In all honesty we were afraid when you first changed, but then when we saw what you became, and what you did, our fear just left! I was filled with curiosity more than anything! Until Sunset dragged us away to safety. Which reminds me!” Twilight grabbed Sam’s wrist and dragged him into the living room, sitting him down on the couch. She ran into her room and returned a few seconds later with a laptop, sitting down next to Sam and looking at her with wide expecting eyes. Fluttershy sat down at the other end of the couch. “Please tell me how you did that?! How do you manipulate – or break – the Law of Conservation of Mass?! Comparing your size now to what you were then, and what about your skin, you did take several blasts of fire to your body, and blows from a mace, so it doesn’t appear that there was any lasting physical damage–!”
“Whoa now, hold up!” Sam interrupted, placing his hands in the air in a stopping motion. “One question at a time, please.”
Twilight blushed as she began playing with one of her bangs, Fluttershy chuckled a bit. “S-S-Sorry, I was just really excited, especially when it comes to scientific phenomenon I sometimes ramble off questions and…sorry.”
Sam chuckled at how apologetic Twilight was. “It’s fine…but to be honest…I don’t quite know how or why either.”
“You don’t know?” Fluttershy asked.
“I know that I can transform, and,” Sam raised his arms up, revealing the gauntlets, “that these things, the Ultra-Gauntlets, helps me to do it. Along with these.”
A belt appeared around Sam’s waist, and on his right hip was a container. Sam opened the container and took out both coins, both depicting the images of Ultraman Gaia and Ultraman.
“May I?” Twilight asked.
Sam shrugged and placed the coins in Twilight’s hand.
Twilight examined the first coin that had Ultraman Gaia, the coin itself seemed to be made of some type of gold metal, on the bottom of the coin was a small crystal, while the top had the art piece of Gaia. Twilight examined the Ultraman coin and found a similar crystal beneath it as well. She motioned for Sam to bring his arms over, and Sam did. Once in hand, Twilight could see, where the slots for the coins, the crimson gems on the gauntlets could open up and Twilight could where they would go.
“I see, these coins must possess some kind of energy. The crystals act as a way to release that energy into the device and into the central sun crystal on your device, which is what triggers your transformation,” Twilight remarked.
Sam took back the coins and placed them back into the container. “That’s not the only thing. Fluttershy could go get a Spark Doll from my room and the Monster Summoner, please.”
Fluttershy went into Sam’s room and came back with a device that sort of resembled a phone and a Spark Doll that looked like a skeletal dinosaur.
Sam placed the Doll on the scanner. Once it was done, the Doll disappeared. Sam aimed the top of the device at an area and fired a stream of white energy out and the monster appeared in front of them.
The monster seemed really shy as it shielded his eyes form them. Sam walked up to him and patted his head.
“Hey Seabozu, no need to be afraid,” Sam gently spoke, “these are my friends, they won’t hurt you”.
Seabozu looked up at Sam and then to the girls. Seabozu was a very shy monster but was also very friendly and protective. Not long after the first invasion, a Seabozu was spotted playing with some children, and when an evil alien appeared the Seabozu protected the children.
Seabozu walked up to Twilight and Fluttershy he could see the won’t dangerous as Fluttershy started to pet him.
“Oh my goodness,” Fluttershy cooed, “he’s so gentle”. Seabozu groaned at the Fluttershy’s kind words. Twilight was a little taken aback from Seabozu’s roar. Just then Sunset walked into the room.
“I back!” She called out, Seabozu turned to look at Sunset and ran up to her, “oh, I see you missed me buddy”.
Twilight stared at Seabozu snuggling up to Sunset. “Do you know each other or…?” She asked.
“Yeah actually,” Sunset said, “me and Sam saved him from a Kemur Man”.
Twilight smiled as she said, “quick question, are you okay with having a roommate that’s a total nerd, likes science, mathematics, chemical, and mechanical engineering to the point that it’s almost bordering weirdness, likes anime and comics, and has an unhealthy fear of quesadillas and ladybugs?”
The other three shook their heads before Sam started to snicker, “Wait, you’re afraid of quesadillas and ladybugs?”
Twilight puffed out her cheeks in indignation, “The ladybugs are my big brother’s fault! He told me that the black spots are extra eyes that watch my every move!”
“But you know they’re not, right?”
“A phobia is by its definition is an irrational fear, so, do I logically know that that’s factually incorrect and that the black spots are just spots? Yes. However, will I still scream in terror and possibly run away at the sight of one? Yes.”
Sunset smirked. “Uh-huh, and the quesadillas?”
Twilight’s left eye twitched as she shuttered. “Soooooo…cheesy…”
The girls giggled a little at Twilight’s reaction, Sam was trying not to burst out laughing and Seabozu was laughing on the ground (the thought of a girl running away in fear of a harmless insect and one of his favourite meals was a funny scene). “Okay, then if we’re agreed to put up with each other’s neurotic tendencies, then I don’t have a problem.” Sunset extended her right hand forward, Twilight, Fluttershy and Sam did the same.
Twilight smiled and shook Sunset’s hand. “It’s agreed, Roomies.” The nerdy girl let out a squeal of delight. “I’ve always wanted to say that!”
‘This is going to be an interesting time here,’ Seabozu thought.
[Ore Mines, 9:05 pm]
Meanwhile at the Ore Mines, some miners had discovered a giant egg while digging. Igneous Rock Pie, the one in charge of the mining, had contacted CAT Academy for them to take a look. Within 35 minutes, Cheetah Jet could be heard flying over head as the miners moved the egg out from the mine. Four jets landed, one of which had the code named “Blitz” on it, as three girls and one guy jumped out.
“Captain Spitfire,” Igneous greeted the team, “thank you for coming”.
“So what’s the problem here?” Spitfire asked.
“This giant egg was in our way of mining,” Igneous said pointing to the egg, “we did know was to do with it so I contacted you to see what could be done about it”.
Captain Spitfire examine it, it was rather large so they couldn’t carry it. She got out her HoloPad and called Celestia.
“Captain Spitfire called Commander Celestia, come in Commander,” She called, before a hologram of Celestia appeared.
“Go ahead Captain,” Celestia replied.
“Commander, the egg is bigger than we thought,” Spitfire reported, “what should we do?”
“Well it’s getting rather late, we’re try and sort it out in the morning”, Celestia told her, “for now head home”.
“Aw come on commander,” called out the rainbow haired girl.
“That’s and order Rainbow Dash”.
“Fine, sorry commander,” Rainbow muttered.
The four piolets then turned back to the jets before flying back to the base. Igneous had told his men to turn in for the night, the egg was left alone, and no one knew that a crack had formed.
[Dormitory Alpha, Room 121, 1:12 am]
Sunset, Twilight and Fluttershy were sound asleep in the beds dreaming happily however Sam wasn’t. He was struggling to sleep, images flashed in his head as Sam shifted in his bed. In his dream, he was fighting a dark Ultrawoman who was overpowering him.
Sam was sweating as in his dream the evil Ultra slashed her claws on his face, Sam tossed to the left. The evil Ultra roundhouse kicked his right, Sam turned to the right. The evil Ultra then charged up her beam attack and fired it as Sam causing him to explode, Sam then shot up from his bed panting heavily. He turned to his left to see if he woke up Fluttershy, but she was peacefully fast asleep.
Sam sighed and got up; he felt his bed which was damp from his sweat.
‘Fuck,’ he thought, ‘I going to have to sleep in the living room’.
Sam went into the bathroom and splashed water in his face to try and wake himself up.
“Mother of Ultra,” he explained, “what a nightmare”.
“Not a nightmare my friend, but a vision from my past”, said a voice, Sam whipped his head around but saw no one. He then turned back to the mirror and saw standing in front of him was a holographic projection of Ultraman Scorn.
“WHAT IN THE HELL!?” Sam near-shouted, before slapping his hands over his mouth. He peaked into the bedroom to see if he woke up Fluttershy that time, to his luck Fluttershy was still asleep. Sam slowly closed the bathroom door. “How on this sweet earth, are you able to do that?” Sam asked in a near-whisper tone, Scorn just watched him trying not to giggle.
“Don’t worry Sam,” scorn assured him, “no one but you can see or hear me. I’m a hologram”.
“Ok,” Sam could only say.
“And as for you nightmare, it wasn’t a nightmare but visions from my past”, Scorn expressed.
“You past?” Sam replied in wonder, “who was that you were fighting?”
Scorn paused before answering, “My sister, Ultrawoman Cataclysm”.
“Oh” was all could say as he could see that this was a touchy topic for Scorn.
“Sam,” Scorn said calmly, “you and I have a few things in common you know”.
“We do?” Sam asked confused a bit.
“Yes, that’s why I chose you on that day”, Scorn said reliving the day where he saved Sam, Sunset, Celestia and Luna from a Dada alien. “Sam, you need to accepted my power if we are going to stop this evil and prevent a second invasion”.
Sam could only agree but was worried at first. “Okay let’s do this”.
After that Sam went into the living room and turned the sofa inside out into a bed, got the bed covers and pillow and fell asleep. Ultraman Scorn looked down on his host, he was happy that Sam had finally accepted him but was worry about his safety as he looked out the window.
“I hope you listening Aunt Elysian,” he called out, “I just want to say I may need you help in the near-future”. He said before disappearing into particles.
[Ore Mines, 12:23 pm]
Captain Spitfire and her squad of Jets flew over the city to the Ore Mines to collect the egg. Once there, her team started to tie up the egg to the jets. However no one knew that the crack had gotten bigger.
“Right I’ll be flying at the front”, Spitfire ordered, “Fleetfoot, Soarin, I want you two carry the egg from the front”.
“Yes ma’am,” the two said before walking to their jets.
“Cloudchaser, Flitter, I want you two at the back of the egg”.
“Right ma’am,” the two sisters ran off to their jets.
“And Rainbow Dash, you’ll be flying in the back to keep an eye on the egg”.
Rainbow huffed as she went to her jet. Soon the six cheetahs were in the air, transporting the egg to CAT Academy.
“You’ve got to be joking”, said a man down on the ground with blue hair and moustache.
“When my friend said an egg was high, I thought she mean the city in Colorado not that,” said a woman with pink hair.
At first Rainbow wasn’t really paying attention to the egg, but once she noticed the crack in the egg, she was getting a little nervous.
“Cloudchaser, Flitter do you see the crack in the egg?” Rainbow radioed her fellow piolets.
“I see it,” Flitter responded with terror in the voice, “what about you, sis?”
“I see it too,” Cloudchaser replied before contacting Spitfire, “Captain, we may have a problem”.
“What is it private,” Captain Spitfire asked, but before Cloudchaser could answer, a roar could be heard all the way from the Ore Mines as monster rose up from the ground. The monster itself was beige with spikes on it’s body, and whips for hands.
The monster started to walk after the Jets, flicking its whips as it stomped through the city.
“Crap,” Spitfire muttered, just then the egg started to rock making the Cheetah off balance. “What’s happening now?!” She cried out to her team.
“The egg is hatching”, Flitter yelled in panic. She was right, the egg broke in half and a monster fell out and landed on the ground. The monster seemed to be back to front because its head was on the ground, it was pink and green, and it didn’t had any arms or legs.
“Double crap”, Spitfire muttered again.
[C. A. T Academy, 12:26 pm]
At the same time, Sam, Sunset, Fluttershy and Twilight sat together in the lunchroom, the red-haired boy was still a little tired about what had happened last night and was trying to stay awake. The three girls had noticed that Sam was a bit quiet this morning.
“Are you ok, Sam?” Twilight asked.
“Yea, it’s not like you to be so quiet,” Sunset retorted.
“Oh sorry girls,” Sam replied, “I’m just really tried that’s all”.
“Sam, I’m your cousin, I know when something is bothering you,” Sunset explained patting Sam on the back.
Sam turned away from the girls and looked to see Holo-Ultraman Scorn giving him a nod of the head. “Well, I just had a bad dream last night. But it wasn’t just a nightmare, I think it was a vision.”
The girls looked at Sam with looks of concern before embracing him in a group hug. Sam then started to tell them what happened in the dream and what Ultraman Scorn said.
“Wow I never knew it was that bad,” Twilight remarked.
“What was worse was that it was someone close to Scorn,” Sam said down-casted.
“Who was the evil Ultra?” Fluttershy asked.
“It was his sister, Ultrawoman Cataclysm”, Sam told them.
The gasped in shock, but before anyone could answer, the alarm sounded and grabbed everyone’s attention.
{WARNING: Two Terra Beast detected entering Earth’s atmosphere, all personnel, report to battle stations immediately. Repeat–}
“Seriously, another monster attack?!” Sunset shouted.
“Two to be correct,” Twilight corrected.
“And their Terra Beasts so they’ll be pretty strong!” Fluttershy commented.
“Come on let’s go!” Sam explained, shooting up from his seat.
The Twilight and Fluttershy were a bit confused by Sam and Sunset running out the lunchroom but soon started to run after them.
A few miles away, a dozen Tiger tanks poured into the streets ready to fire upon the monsters. Up above the Cheetah’s went to hover, awaiting the inventible arrival and waiting for the monsters to come closer to each other. The monsters roared at each other at they closed the distance between them.
Sam and the girls were in a CAT car code named: The House Cat, and where driving to the city to see what monsters they were dealing with.
“Ok Fluttershy you a generous when it comes to monsters,” Sam said while keeping his eye on the roar.
“The beige monster is Gudon and the upside door one is Twin Tail”, Fluttershy said while watching the monsters brawl.
“Any reason why they more focused on each other rather than the city?” Sunset asked.
“Gudon is Twin Tail’s natural predator”.
“That’s explains why Gudon biting Twin Tail”, Sam remarked.
Sam was right. Gudon had managed to hold Twin Tail still a had started biting down on it. Twin Tail whipped Gudon in the face causing him to let go as Twin Tail sank his teeth into Gudon’s leg.
The Cheetah squadrons flew, opening fire on the Terra Beasts in teams of three, however, they only seemed to bother the monsters. Gudon shot a fire ball out his mouth and the nearest Cheetah, luckily the Cheetah dodged it, striking the nearby buildings around it.
The Cheetahs broke off as the Tigers began unloading their plasma cannons at the monsters. While these attacks did nothing to Gudon’s tough hide, Twin Tail was weaker as one blast shot him in the eye, blinding its right side. The ancient creature waddled over to some tanks but was smacked to the ground, thanks to Gudon’s whips. The latter then started to dig underground. All CAT forces were on high alert as the searched for the monster, but they didn’t have to look long as it seemed to jump and swatted three Cheetahs out of the sky with its whips, Twin Tail managed to get up from the ground and latched onto Gudon’s tail, making it roar in fury, and start attacking its prey again. When Gudon whipped Twin Tail, the latter let out a deafening roar that shattered the Cheetahs’ shields.
{This is Spitfire, that thing just took out our shields, we’re sitting ducks up here!}
{Flash Magnus to Tiger units, aim towards the sky, try to get these things’ attentions away from the Cheetah!}
The Tiger tanks began opening fire straight into the sky, thankfully, most of their blasts hit around the monsters, making them turn their attentions back on them. From its aerial vantage, Gudon shot three fireballs straight down on the Goliath tanks, the explosions rang out through the city, shattering glass and melting what wasn’t protected by the shields. The tanks began to fall back, but they did manage to give the Cheetah’s time to retreat. And one lucky blast from a Tiger shot Twin Tail’s other eye out making it blind.
{Seriously! This is the second tough as hell monster we’ve had to fight, and it’s only be a day!} Rainbow exclaimed.
{Keep it together Dash, we gotta keep this thing from ramapagin’! If it keeps this up, the Shelters won’t be able to take it!} a western voice stated.
As Rainbow’s Cheetah was about to get away, when one of the blind Twin Tail’s twin tails smacked Rainbow’s Cheetah out of the sky.
Goliath stopped it’s driver viewed her screen her girlfriend’s fighter falling out the sky. {REQUESTIN’ SUPPORT! THE MONSTER HAS ONE OUR FIGHTERS!}
Gudon watched as the fighter flew off out the city with some small amount of intrigue, while Rainbow Dash was trying to keep herself under control, she watched as the ground got nearer and nearer.
‘Guess my life ends here…’
Sam and the girls stood out of the car; they were all staring into the distance in silence at the numerous explosions going off. And all watched as the Cheetah flew closer to the ground. The egghead turned to Sam and asked, “You’re not going to go fight?”
“I don’t know…I seriously don’t know what I’m supposed to do!” Sam exclaimed. “My body feels this urge to just run towards that fight, but…”
“But what?” Fluttershy asked.
Sam hugged himself as he said, “I’m scared…it’s not the first time I’ve transformed…but each time I do, I’m afraid I’ll lose part of myself. Or, what if…what if I become a bigger threat than the monsters that are attacking?! I have no memories about my real past, for all I know, I could be here to destroy the world?!”
Sunset moved closer to Sam and placed her hands on her cousin’s shoulders. “I don’t believe that, I've known you the longest and if that were true, you wouldn’t have saved us. You wouldn’t have stayed by our side the whole time we were trying to get to the Shelter. So, I know, you’re not evil.”
Sam glanced at Sunset with scepticism, then Twilight, and then Fluttershy. “How can you say that? I’ve barely known you two a day!”
“Because…well…isn’t trusting in your friends something that friends do? Even if they don’t believe in themselves?” Fluttershy explained.
The red-haired boy stared at his friend with a stunned expression. “You really trust me that much?”
“I want to, and I’m willing to trust you. And that’s why I know, the guy who rescued us yesterday, that’s the Samuel Metters I know, I trust in the you that I believe in!” Twilight expressed.
Sam’s face split into a wide grin as he laughed out loud, causing Twilight to blush. “Did…hahaha…Did you just-just quote that old ass mecha anime?!”
Twilight fidgeted with her bangs as she looked around at nothing in particular. “It seemed appropriate in the moment…”
Sam went into another round of laughter, which eventually made Twilight’s face evolve from embarrassed to pouty. After finally catching his breath, Sam ruffled Twilight’s hair as he said, “Damn, after a line that corny, I’m kinda pumped now.” Sam motioned for the girls to move back. “Thanks, Twi.”
Twilight nodded as she smiled and took a few more steps back.
Sam raised up her left arm and the coin slots opened up, and in the next second, he was engulfed in light and transported to the starry world.
“Lend me your power, Ultraman!”
{ULTRAMAN}
“Lend me the will of the earth, Gaia!”
{ULTRAMAN GAIA}
“I shall bring peace and harmony to the universe!!” Upon saying this Sam crossed his arms, then raised them up, Ultraman and Gaia turned back into energy and went into Sam’s Ultra Gauntlets and finally HE smashed his fists together, causing red and gold energy to spiral around him.
{RISE ULTRAMAN SCORN SPECIUM PHOTON!}
Ultraman Scorn rose up and then just as quickly flew off in the direction of Rainbow’s falling fighter. Rainbow shielded her eyes from the blighting light and expected the clash however there was none. As she uncovered her eyes, she noticed that she had stopped falling and saw that Ultraman Scorn had caught her. Scorn nodded to her in which she gave him a thumbs up in return. Scorn gently placed her down on the ground then shot off into the sky to fight the monsters.
As Gudon stomped over to the blind Twin Tail, it looked up to see Scorn flying down to him. Acting fast, Scorn’s gauntlet gems glowed blue, as he yelled, “SCOLDING STREAM!”
Gudon was then blindsided by a powerful scolding hot water that sent the monster falling backwards. Scorn landed on the ground with a thunderous boom, quickly running over to Twin Tail and giving it a kick. The giant of light noticed that Twin Tail was blind, so he decided to put it out of its misery. The gems on his gauntlet started to glow white as Sam pulled out a card with an Ultra on it and scan it on his right gauntlet.
“ULTRASEVEN WIDE SHOT!” Scorn yelled as he fired a golden beam from his right arm at Twin Tail destroying the monster in one blow. A bright light from where Twin Tail once stood, flew towards Scorn and went into his colour timer, Sam caught the light as it changed to a Spark Doll of said monster. Gudon recovered from the attack, releasing an angry roar as it fired off another fireball. Without turned around Sam raised out his arm and caught the fireball, breaking it in his palm.
Just as Scorn turned around, Gudon was running up to him with a whip raised. Scorn tried to bloke it, but the pain was unbearable when the whip crashed down. Scorn charged towards Gudon, but Gudon wrapped on of it whips around Scorn’s neck, the ancient monster continued to smack it free whip at Scorn, as he tried to break free.
Scorn struggled to break free from Gudon’s grasp until Sam pull out another Ultra Card with a different Ultra on it and shouted, “ULTRAMAN MAX MAXIMUM SWORD!”
A slash of light shot from Scorn’s head, cutting right through the whip and one of Gudon’s horns before returning to Scorn’s head and disappearing. Enraged, Gudon whipped Scorn in the stomach, followed by a headbutt, making him stumble backwards. Scorn recovered and threw a roundhouse kick, catching Gudon in the side of its head and made it slam into a building. The giant picked up the severed whip and dashed towards Gudon and slammed the whip on the body through the building right on top of him.
Gudon got up and fired a fire ball, hitting Scorn in the chest making sparks fly from his chest. Scorn was getting irritated with this monster. Both of Scorn’s gauntlet gems began to glow white. He then raised his arms and open his palms as a light shone in both open palms, Scorn gripped the light with his right hand, transmuting it into full fledge material weapon. The weapon was a sword of some sort, it was gold with symbols on both sides, and was half the size of Scorn.
“Harmony Blade!” Scorn called out as he ran towards Gudon.
The Terra Beast brought up its left whip, but as Scorn grew closer, the blade’s diamond symbol shined purple. With one slash, Scorn cut through the whip, causing sparks to fly as a stream of white light was left in the wake of the slash. Scorn slashed again, forming an X pattern and forcing Gudon to fall back.
On the ground, The Tiger had driven up to Rainbow’s fighter as she disembarked and hurried to her friend’s fighter. The rainbow haired girl was being helped out by Twilight, Sunset and Fluttershy.
“Dash are ya’ll alright?!” she asked.
“A little bruised, but I’ll live,” Rainbow Replied.
“Thanks to Scorn”, Sunset added.
“Thank you for helping Dashie out,” the southern girl addressed.
“It’s ok,” Twilight insisted, “by the way, what’s your name?”
The new girl tipped her hat and replied, “I’m Applejack.”
Meanwhile, Gudon was panicking as both its whips were gone, without its whips, Gudon was useless.
‘Right, time to finish this!’ Sam thought as Scorn lodged his blade into the ground.
The Ultraman’s gems shined as he widened his stance, he crossed his arms, lifted them above his head, brought them the sides, and placed his left hand behind his right arm. Energy continued to gather more and more, making the gems glow brighter as they changed colours.
“SEPTICIUM BEAM!”
Scorn fired his beam attack straight for Gudon. Scorn released a loud battle cry just as his Septicium Ray pierced through Gudon, completely annihilating Gudon in the wake of a huge explosion.
The Ultra Warrior cut off his attack and took a deep breath. A bright light from where Gudon was flew into Scorn's blinking Colour Timer, Sam reached out and caught it as it turned into a Gudon Spark Doll. "Welcome to the family you two," Sam muttered as The Harmony Blade disappeared into atoms and Scorn took to the skies.
[C.A.T. Academy, the next day…]
Sam seemed antsy this morning, at least that’s what Twilight, Sunset and Fluttershy could tell. The four of them were called into the Commander’s office, but Twilight wasn’t sure for what exactly. Part of her wondered if it was because of Sam’s transformation, had she broken some kind of rule between them about doing that at school.
“Sam I just want you to know, I’ll take full responsibility! I was the one who forced you to go out and fight that monster yesterday and–!”
“Whoa, whoa, slow down. First off: you didn’t make me do anything. You just helped me to make up my mind. Second: whatever punishment – if any – she gives me, I’ll take it. Besides, I’m not apologizing for monster busting and saving some lives.” Sam interrupted.
The three girls and boy continued down the hall but stopped when they noticed Rainbow and Applejack standing outside the office. Applejack spotted the two of them and smiled as she waved them down, “Sunset, Twilight, Fluttershy, what brings y’all over here?”
“We were called by Commander Celestia, what brings you here?” Twilight asked.
“Same, not sure why, but we’re probably guessin’ that it was because of that how we weakened the monsters yesterday for Ultraman Scorn. But, to tell ya the truth, Ah don’t regret it one bit.” Applejack placed her hands on her hips as she proudly said, “Anyone or anything that went through all that to save Dashie here can’t be all that bad.”
Sam and Rainbow blushed.
“Anyway, we never got you name”, Rainbow spoke to Sam.
Sam held out his hand. “Name’s Samuel Metters, yours?”
Rainbow grinned and shook Sam’s hand as she said, “Rainbow Danger Dash, but you can call me Rainbow or just Dash, whichever.”
“Not going to introduce your girlfriend?” Sam asked smirking.
Rainbow blushed as she looked at Applejack.
“I’m Applejack, or you can call me AJ for short,” Applejack answered.
“Nice to meet you two”, Sam replied.
“Making more girlfriends are we?” A new voice had joined their conversation, all six students turned their heads in the direction of the new voice. Walking down the opposite hall was the girl that Sam had saw who made some elegant alterations to the uniform, followed behind her was Pinkie Pie from their biology class, and right alongside her were two girls one had silver hair and a smirk on her face and the other had purple hair with a cyan streak through it and a rather nervous smile. “After finally getting these two to confess to each other, I shan’t have anyone break apart this relationship!”
“Am I invisible or something?” Sam asked sarcastically.
“Oh no Darling, I just didn’t see”, the girl replied.
“I’m the only boy here”, Sam retorted.
“Rarity, we’re not in a relationship,” Rainbow scoffed as she hooked an arm over Applejack shoulder. “Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Sam Metters, this here’s some friends of ours.”
The girl with sapphire eyes and curled, silky violet hair walked up and said, “Rarity Belle, a pleasure to meet you.”
The other girl, with bright pink, bouncy, curly hair, and had pins of ice cream and other cute mascot characters decorating the lapels of her blazer, walked up to both Twilight and Sunset and shook their hands simultaneously at a rapid pace. Which ended up with their hair getting dishevelled and Twilight’s glasses going crooked.
“Hi, I’m Pinkamena Diane Pie, but everyone calls me Pinkie Pie!” she explained.
The girl behind her were a lot calmer than Pinkie, though one did seem a bit nervous while the other was a bit smugger.
“Hi there, I’m Starlight Glimmer, it’s really nice to meet you all,” the purple haired girl said.
“And I am the Great and Powerful Trixie and I am fearless when it comes to fighting aliens”, the silver haired girl expressed.
“Really?” Rainbow chuckled, “You ran away in terror after see a Kanegon”.
“Be quiet Rainbow Dash”, Trixie scoffed.
“Anyway, what’re you guys doing here?” Sunset asked.
“Same as you I suppose, we got a summons from Commander Celestia and now we’re here,” said Rarity.
Now Twilight, Sunset, Fluttershy and Sam were confused, they were sure it may have had something to do with Sam changing into Scorn, but with all ten of them here, they didn’t know what the reason was. After a minute the doors to the Commander’s office opened, Vice Commander Luna was on the other side and ushered them inside. Once inside, the girls and boy stood at attention and saluted the Commanders.
“At ease girls and Sam, and you can relax a little, I assure you all that the reason for you coming her isn’t for disciplinary reasons,” Celestia assured.
While they did release a sigh of relief, it still didn’t dispel their unease for why they were called in.
“As you all know, the last forty-eight hours have seen five monster attacks back to back. Such a thing hasn’t occurred in many years, even before my sister and I were children. Now, we may be facing an increase in frequency of attacks in the future, and we need to do something about it.”
Rarity raised her hand and Celestia nodded to her. “Pardon me, Commander Celestia, but can I assume correctly that our presence here is correlated to that ‘something’?”
“Indeed, it is.” Vice Commander Luna answered. “As of right now, you seven are to be given Special Agent status, which means you will be called upon to assist or even head – depending on the circumstances – investigations into alien activity, and combat against the Elemental Beasts.”
“Each of you has shown promise in one field or another. Miss Belle with her innovation in combat gear, making the materials lighter, flexible, and even more durable under fire.”
Rarity blushed a little.
“Miss Shy, you have been touted by some of the biology professors as quite knowledgeable when it comes to Elemental Beast and xeno-animal mannerisms and behaviours, as well as a proficiency in the medical side for both.”
Fluttershy smiled, but still hid behind her bangs.
“Rainbow Dash and Applejack Apple, two of the youngest, and proficient pilots in our Cheetah and Tiger units. Your captains speak highly of not only your skills, but your brashness and sometimes flagrant disregard for protocol.”
Both girls rubbed the back of their heads with embarrassment and pride.
“Pinkie Pie, your ability to connect with all those around you, even with other alien races and bring them to a table, such diplomatic skill is greatly needed in our changing times.”
The pink haired girl beamed and saluted.
“Starlight and Trixie, you’re both loyal and determined to get the job done, and even start up to the face of danger”.
Both girls smiled at that though Trixie wore her smile with pride.
“Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer, you two tested higher in the fields of physics, mechanical engineering, chemistry, and astronomy than any other candidate thus far.”
At this, Sunset stood at attention.
“You do have quite the attitude at times, you can be harsh, and a bit lazy at times.”
Sam’s expression became deadpan as the other girls snickered a little.
“But…despite this, you are loyal, fierce, kind, unwavering when it comes to what you believe and always jump in putting you own life at risk. And, might I add, proficient in hand-to-hand and weapons combat along with Sunset Shimmer.”
Sam blushed at the praise but managed to keep her composure and gave his cousin a high-five. Vice Commander Luna walked up to each of them, taking off their school crest and replacing them with a new one. This one featured a pair of silver crossed swords, it was slight change and one that wouldn’t be noticed unless someone was deliberately looking right at it. “These new crests acknowledge you as Special Agents and can be called on for different field operations or projects that CAT is conducting. They are waterproof and can resist intense cold and heat, so you needn’t worry about putting them in wash and having them destroyed. We will have a few more made up to replace the crests in your wardrobes, for now I suggest interchanging them.”
“Sweet!” Rainbow commented.
“Commander Celestia, exactly what kind of operations will we be assigned to?” Twilight asked.
“Mostly, it will be ones that are centred around Ultraman Scorn.” Sam and the girls all gave Celestia their undivided attention. “As of today, he is designated an ally of CAT. But I get the feeling that he may need some help considering the strength of the enemy yesterday.”
Sam grumbled and whispered under her breath, “Damn teleporting bug!”
“So, we are currently working on improvements to the Cheetah and Tiger that Miss Apple and Dash pilot, and if you wish Miss Sparkle, you can look over the designs and schematics to see what improvements can be made,” said Commander Celestia.
Twilight’s eyes grew wide and practically sparkled as she heard this. “R-Really! I can give design input and recommend changes?!”
“Whatever you believe can make their vehicles give Scorn an edge.”
Applejack and Rainbow slung their arms over Twilight’s shoulders as they smiled at the nerdy girl.
“I got a few ideas of what you can change on mine,” said Rainbow.
“Ah think we should get together after class and go into more detail about what meh Tiger could use,” said Applejack.
“Oh! New vehicles could mean new clothing, a complete overhaul of the pilot suits! Oooooh, this will be exciting!” Rarity squealed in delight.
“Whether you tell your fellow classmates or not is up to you. Of course, this means you will be exempt from certain activities and given extensions for certain assignments, you are all dismissed, except for Mr, Metters.”
Twilight hesitated a moment, but Sam nodded for her to go and join the rest of the girls. Once alone, Sam sighed and said, “So, I’m guessing you think I need help?”
“Not help, comrades.” Celestia corrected. “Sam, I see it in your eyes. You’ve made the decision to fight and I won’t stop you, however, I would like it if you not only help in battling the Elemental Beasts, but also receive help in that endeavour. And I believe these girls will help you.”
Sam had to admit, they were a strange bunch, an animal lover, a fashionista, a farm girl, a sports girl, a party girl, a cute nerdy girl, an air-headed magician and anti-evil expert. “I could do worse, but, aren’t you going to tell them that I’m Ultraman Scorn?”
Celestia stood from her desk and walked around it to stand before Sam, she then placed her hand on his shoulder gently and said, “I believe that is your decision, it is not mine to make for you. If you trust them, it’d be better to tell them.”
Sam smiled a little. “I’ll think about it.”
“Good, also.” On cue, Luna opened her HoloPad and brought up a holographic display of the veranda where Sam had transformed. The camera footage showed Twilight, Sunset and Fluttershy there, and then a flash of light around Sam before she zoomed off into the distance. “Please be more aware of your surroundings, Sam, you’re lucky we caught that and erased the footage.”
Sam blushed and face palmed himself, he couldn’t believe he had gotten caught like that.
“I’ll give you a list of some the camera blind spots around campus so that if needed you can transform in these locations, but please keep them to yourself. Well then, let me make this official then.” Celestia held out her hand smiled. “I look forward to working with you, Sam – rather – Scorn.”
Sam shook Celestia’s hand gave cocky grin of affirmation. The whole time, however, Luna seemed sceptical of this alliance.
A woman, or what looked like a woman, stood on a bridge. her body was wrapped in black dress, with red markings. She wore black leggings in red high-heels with dark pink highlights. Her face beautiful with blonde hair with a pink streak running through it, however her eyes yellow while her iris’ were pink. Before her floated a violet coloured crystal, which displayed a kind of recording of Ultraman Scorn defeating Detton, Magular, Angross and, more recently, Gudon and Twin Tail.
The woman gripped the railing of the bridge with a hand with sharp, violet nails.
“It would appear he has returned. I see that, it will not be a problem,” said the shadow woman.
“I wasn’t sure the first time, but now he is back. The Ultras are spread thinly and will not be able to render too much aid to this planet. However, we must act cautiously, one Ultra Warrior is already a problem. Have a little faith in my power, I will strike again.”
“Watch out little brother, your big sister is coming”, she laughed before disappearing into a dark portal.
[Land of Light]
“Elysian,” called a deep voice.
“What is it Taro?” Replied Elysian.
“I fear that on Earth S-74 your nephew is going to be in trouble”.
“Oh dear”.
“I request that you summon you students and talk to them”.
“Ok I’ll do it. Is there anything else you would like Taro?”
“Not at the moment, me and my Ultra Brother will keep you updated”.
“Very well. Please hang in there, my child.”

Episode 1: Enter Ultraman Scorn
Chapter 1: Enter Ultraman Scorn
"Congrats, it's a boy".
"Honey look at him".
"I want to see mummy"!
"He's got my eyes".
"He'll make a great warrior".
A boy was sitting at the back of a bus that was ferrying a batch of new first year students to the most prestigious school, CAT Academy. The teenager was the only one on the bus to be asleep. CAT Base and the Academy had been built at the centre of a huge forest called ‘The Everfree Forest’, there were a large enough clearing that both could be accommodated equally. The reason why this boy asleep was not because he was lazy, it’s because he was extremely tried from last night getting ready for the day ahead for him.
The road leading to the academy was a long bridge that ran from Canterlot City to the Academy and base. Several students filled the bus, all of which were in varying degrees of excitement. Suddenly, the bus stopped, making the boy wake up and look out the window, there seemed to be someone with her arm out, wanting to get on the bus. She was wearing the CAT Academy Uniform. She was slender, with black rimmed glasses framing her mousy face, and brought attention to her amethyst coloured eyes. Her hair – which was done up in a ponytail – was a dark violet colour, with a light steak of purple and pink running through it.
“She kinda cute”, the boy commented.
The new girl began walking down the aisle until she was at the back of the bus.
“H-Hi,” the nerdy girl greeted.
“Hey,” the boy replied.
“Um…I’m sure you picked this spot back here to be alone…but…would it be alright if I…sat over here, too?”
The boy rubbed his eyes and gave the girl a smile. “Sure, help yourself”.
The nerdy girl smiled and sat down in the right seat. She had been clutching a digital tablet the whole time, and once she sat down immediately swiped it open and began reading something. The bus driver continued on their way towards SMILE Academy. After a good five minutes of travel, the redhead asked, “So, what’s your name?”
The nerdy girl snapped her attention from her tablet and to the redhead. “Oh, um, yes. It’s Twilight. Twilight Sparkle.”
“Twilight?” The name sounded familiar to the boy. “Your mother wouldn’t be Twilight Velvet by any chance?”
“Y-yes, she is,” the Twilight said a little confused at the sudden reaction.
“And does she work with a woman called Jessie Metters?” the boy asked again.
“Yes, she does,” Twilight answered.
“That’s my mother,” the boy replied, “I’m Sam, my mum’s been told many things about you”.
“Hey, my mum’s been told the same about you”, Twilight replied. Soon the two of them were talking like old collage friends.
[C. A. T. Academy, 9:10 A. M.]
The bus finally joined a caravan of several others that were ferrying students, teachers, and CAT agents. To say that the school and the base were vast would be a huge understatement. The school itself stood like an ivory castle, with tall spires that led to different observatories, a large quad was set at the centre, and a statue of the first agent of CAT, the founder and creator, a woman simply known as Faust. A small staircase led up to the main entrance, where many of the students were filing in, off to the right path stood several buildings which looked like apartments, no doubt the student dorms. To the left were the training fields, some of which both agents and students used.
But behind the school was the towering CAT Base, it was one of many, but this was considered the first and best of them all. The base had domes structures built around it, with a central building that had a flight control tower as well as a scanning equipment meant to detect any anomalous changes in the atmosphere. There was a larger structure behind the domes, one that housed the mobile weapons of CAT, like their Tiger tanks, carriers, official CAT urban vehicles, and of course the Cheetah fighters that were routinely patrolling the airspace. The main centre piece of the entire structure was a large spire that sat in the centre of the base and Academy, but it was currently not in use.
Sam slid on his backpack and dragged his rolling suitcase behind him. According the schedule, orientation would be held at 10:30 A. M. so that the students could unpack in the dorm or just walk about after the long bus ride. Sam walked down the stone pathway up to Dormitory Alpha, once inside, Sam noted that the commons area was quite large, sporting a few chairs and sofas, as well as tables to sit and eat.
Sam went to the holographic map that was mounted in the middle of the commons area. Many students were crowding around the terminal as they got their room assignments. Sam pulled out a device called a “HoloPad”. With a flick of the wrist the device parted down the middle and extended out a good six inches, the centre of the rectangular object created a hard-light screen, displaying various apps and other things. Sam held the HoloPad up to the terminal and immediately the device began downloading and registering him.
After about a minute, Sam brought the device closer and tapped a few buttons until the device read, “Room Assignment: Room 326”. Nodding, Sam walked to the elevator’s, he waited a moment until the crowds died down, he really didn’t like sharing a cramped space with half a dozen people. Thankfully his prayers were answered as one of the elevators opened and Sam was the only one around, he quickly entered and pressed the button for the third floor.
“WAIT!” cried out a familiar voice.
Sam recognized that voice, they may’ve only met just this morning, but it was unmistakable. He briefly contemplated just letting the door close, but then sighed heavily as he pressed the button to keep the doors open. As expected, Twilight Sparkle came stumbling into the elevator, suitcases and all. Sam hurriedly pressed the button to close the doors to keep anyone else from rushing in, sharing an elevator with one other person was tolerable to six.
Twilight was panting as she slumped against the wall, making Sam chuckle as he said, “If this is going tier you that easily, training is going to be murder.”
The nerdy girl blushed in embarrassment. “I-I was never that physically active…mostly studying and science projects and reading…I realize now how poorly that has impacted my stamina and body.”
Sam gave Twilight a look once over, looking her up and down. Twilight was slender, small waist, not much up top, but the uniforms didn’t help, they sometimes made a girl appear flat, Sam had found that to be the case upon donning the uniform himself, but then he wore the men’s uniform. Her skin was a slightly pale, showing that while she may have spent most of her time indoors, she had gone outside enough to not appear ghostly. Compared to Sam’s light skin and standard build, he could see why the girl was embarrassed.
“Eh, you’re not that bad on the eyes, and some guys actually dig the whole nerdy librarian look.”
Twilight blushed again as she fixed her gaze at her shoes. “I-I-I wouldn’t know, I’ve never actually dated anyone…nor am I particularly looking for romance.”
“That’s cool, neither am I,” said Sam.
The elevator dinged, the doors sliding open to show a multitude of their fellow students meandering through the halls to find their assigned rooms. Sam had to admit, this school really spared no expense, the hallway walls were painted sky-blue, with immaculate white doors, and plush, velvety carpet. Sam opened up his HoloPad again and began walking as the device gave directions, after a few turns Sam stopped before his room, but paused when he noticed that Twilight had followed him. Then turned back to the door which showed there were two others in the room, as well as a reading on the door saying, ‘two out of four students present’.
“Is…something wrong?” Twilight asked.
“No but I do have a question,” Sam said, “Are we sharing a room with two others?”
Twilight raised an eyebrow, she quickly got out her HoloPad out and looked up the room codes. Sam looked at her while Twilight read out the room codes, “Rooms can have the minimum of one student and maximum of four.”
“Guess we’re roommates we whoever is in there?”
Sam took out his HoloPad and placed against the scanner next to the door and immediately the door unlocked, Twilight followed behind him, putting her HoloPad against the scanner to register that she was also in the room. Once inside, the two of them went wide eyed with surprise.
It wasn’t so much a dorm room as it was an apartment. The room was spacious, with a large couch at the centre that could fit four people on it, a recliner to the right of that, and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. There was a wood coffee table below that was set between the chair and sofa, with a fruit basket that read “Welcome!”. The two of them walked further inside and spotted a kitchen, it had a small island in the middle, complete with a dish washer, stove, refrigerator, and sink. From the sink there was a flat top bar with stools sitting on the other side, and a small table that could at least seat four comfortably. Further back the two of them spotted sliding doors that led to a balcony, which gave an impressive view of the campus, base, and forest.
Sam broke to the right and opened the door, Twilight followed suit to get an idea of what her room would be like. Inside was a queen-sized bed, complete with a desk that was placed into the corner of to the bed’s right side, a closet, and a dresser, with a TV mounted above it. On the left side of the room, was a bathroom. It was a standard one-person bathroom, with a walk-in shower.
Also in the room were the other two students. One was a lightly tanned skin girl with a lead build, fiery red and yellow hair and turquoise eyes. The other girl wasn’t as pale as Twilight and had a light tint to her colour. She had a rather large bust which sort of made Sam’s nosebleed a bit, her hair was a cute pale pink and her eyes were bright blue.
“Hello there,” said the firery girl called out, “you two must be our other roommates. I’m Sunset and that there is Fluttershy”.
“Hello,” Fluttershy responded shyly, “It’s nice to meet you”.
“You too,” Sam replied, “I’m Sam and this is Twilight”.
"Wait, Sam?" Sunset asked before running up to hug her cousin, "It's good to see you again".
"Same here, Sunny," Sam responded with Sunset's little nickname.
“So who’s going to sleep with who?” Twilight asked, a little concerned.
“How about this, we play ‘odd one out’,” Sam said, before he started to explain “If I, Twilight and Sunset held out a one, and Fluttershy held out a two, she the odd one out”.
Once the bedrooms were chosen (Twilight and Sunset shared one while Sam and Fluttershy shared the other), Twilight and Sam went to unpacking their things. Sam paused as he moved some of his unmentionables away to reveal a pair of some sort of fingerless gloves. The gloves were gold in colour, with a deep crimson capsule in the middle of it. If the capsules opened they revealed a slot to hold a small circler dice.
“Can’t leave this thing lying around.”
Sam placed the gloves on his hands, and when he put them on, he brought out a sport duffle bag appeared around his torso. Sam unzipped it and opened it. He pulled out a figures of a monster, rectangular device and a blue ring. Sam walked over to a shelf and started to place the monsters on each lever of the shelf. As Fluttershy was in the room as well, she was interested by Sam’s collection.
“What a nice collection of figures”, Fluttershy said, walking up to the shelf.
“Thanks, their my Spark Dolls,” Sam responded, “I’ve been collecting them with my mum and dad since I was five”.
“This is Eleking if I’m not mistaken”, she said holding the figure of said monster.
“Yeah they all have a warm spot in my heart as their not just friends but family too”.
“Aww that’s so sweet”, Fluttershy said as she place Eleking back in between a Bemular and a Dinosaur Tank spark doll.
As soon as Fluttershy left, Sam pulled out a dice holder which held dices of two giants and a few monsters and a Cyber Card holder which held a six different cards with monsters on them. He strapped them around his waist and headed for the door.
[Assembly Hall, 11:45 A. M.]
Since they were all now officially roommates, Twilight, Sunset and Fluttershy seemed to stick by Sam as they headed out for the Assembly Hall, Sam grinned a little, he’d never had this many girls stick with him. Once they arrived, they saw that the whole auditorium was filled with a deafening roar of people talking over each other. As they took their seats, Sam once again took notice of the rest of the students filling the seats. Two girls seemed to be getting into an arm-wrestling contest, one was wearing a cowboy hat, and the other had rainbow hair. There was a third who seemed to be refereeing the spectacle, she had bright blue eyes and a bouncy, curly head of pink hair.
A little off to the side she spotted two others, the one with violet hair was really done up, having taken every measure to make her uniform show her individuality, adding white frills to the cuffs of the blazer, along with accentuating the hem and collar with gold trim. The girl was speaking to two other girls next to her, which seemed to just be listening rather than doing any talking. One girl had medium purple hair with a turquoise streak in it, a shade darker than other girl, her blue eyes conveyed understanding. The other had sliver hair, her skin was a slightly darker shade to her friend and her eyes were pink.
Aside from them not very many others stood out to her, there were other like a rather large bulky boy, a boy with blue spikey hair that had a Rock n’ Roller vibe to him, and a girl who had blonde hair, and had wall eyes.
The auditorium went silent as a woman took centre stage, holographic screens appeared above her, allowing her face to be seen by everyone in attendance. The woman walking up to the see-through podium had long, midnight blue hair, her shimmering aquamarine eyes had a piecing look to them as if peering into your soul. This was accentuated by the woman’s graceful application of black mascara and navy-blue eyeshadow. She wore a CAT uniform, the left side of the chest bared the crest of CAT, but her right side displayed her badge, which had four stars on it that indicated her rank.
Once at the podium, the woman tapped the mic to make sure it was working and said, “Hello, and welcome to CAT Academy. I am the Vice Commander, as well as the Dean of Students, Luna Solstice. As the Dean of Students, I also head the Disciplinary Committee, I will remind all students and returning students to adhere to the rules.”
‘Strict as ever’, thought Sam.
“Now, here to give you some context on our pristine base and school, allow me to introduce you to the Headmistress and Commander of CAT Concordia Base, Celestia Solstice.”
From the entrance, another woman walked up. Her uniform was all white, barring the gold trim around the shoulders, and around the cuffs, and on her badge, it showed a sun with four stars at the centre. Her skin was a beautiful pale colour and flawless, her hair was three colours of green, blue, and pink, and her fuchsia eyes shown with a motherly warmth despite her obvious high rank in the organization. Celestia and Luna were both tall women, but Celestia still towered over her by a head.
Celestia cleared her throat and said, “Thank you, Vice Commander Luna. Welcome my new students and returning students! I am happy to have you all for another year here at CAT Academy! Now, I know not all of you are here to join our organization and are here to further your education before moving onto whatever you are aspiring to. Let me be the first one to say this, you needn’t feel pressured nor ashamed for not joining. Defending the Earth is a noble endeavour, but so is chasing after your dreams, whatever they may be.”
“Here at the Academy, you’ll learn and grow over the next four years, some who have come here not wanting to join sometimes end up joining right after graduation. That is why you all will be taking some courses in engineering and maintenance, biological science, and astronomy. As well as some basic training courses. SMILE was created to ensure that another event like The First Incursion never happens again, and for the past twenty years, we have been able to repel all manner of Space Beast attacks, as well as covert alien operations.”
Celestia took the mic and began walking around, looking up to the faces of the students to connect with each of them. “The future is what you make of it, take what you learn here and apply it in your endeavours, whether it is defending the Earth or achieving your dreams, I only ask that you give it your all!”
The students all stood and clapped their hands in a standing ovation, for a moment, Sunset and Sam locked eyes with the Commander, Celestia smiled and then walked back to the podium to continue. “Alright, now, I would also like to talk to you all regarding ‘Special Operations’. These are kind of onsite work-study programs where you will be able to work alongside our fellow CAT agents, whether it is in maintenance, logistical support, civilian evacuation – but only when accompanied by a senior agent, and research and development. Those of you who have been selected for this are to report immediately to your designated stations when the alarm sounds, and yes, you will be given slight leeway in your classes and some assignments, but you are still expected to maintain your grades either way, monster attacks or no monster attacks, understand?!”
As one, the entire student body answered, “YES MA’AM!”
The rest of the orientation dragged on into the class structure, the rules regarding the dorms, and off campus excursions. Sam had long tuned out what Celestia was saying, he wasn’t really a listener, but snuck a glance at his roommates, watching as Twilight gazed upon the Commander, eyes as big as saucers and practically sparkling with admiration and enthusiasm. Sam had to admit, it was cute in a nerdy way. He also felt something between him and Twilight, it wasn’t a romantic bond but something that reminded his of his sister back home.
After everything was done, the students were dismissed to go about the campus or whatever they wished. One of the perks of being a student, was the ability to rent a car from the campus, provided they had passed CAT’s driving course before entering or during their stay in CAT, so Sam decided to head into the city. ‘I’m going to be spending a majority of my time here, might as well go and have some fun away from here’, he thought.
Just then, Sam stopped when he spotted Vice Commander Luna and Commander Celestia talking with his roommates, he really wasn’t in the mood to talk to Celestia, so he slowly turned around to walk away and–
“Samuel Metters?”
‘Damn it!’
Sam slowly turned around and waved at Celestia, “Heeeeey…Commander…”
Celestia rolled her eyes at Sam’s pitiful greeting. “Oh please, you can call me Auntie Tia, and of course you can call Luna Auntie Lulu!”
Luna’s eye twitched. “Please, don’t.”
“Don’t worry I don’t plan to”, Sam responded deadpanned.
Twilight and Fluttershy blinked a few times as she looked between Celestia, Luna, and Sam. “W-Wait, a-are you related?!”
Sam crossed his arms in front of his chest and said, “Yeah, but on my mother’s side. They’re my aunts and Sunset’s parents. Aunts which I remember asking not to talk to me so much around here.”
“We’re just making sure that you are acclimating well so far,” said Luna.
“You two still treat me like I’m six years old. But I am ‘acclimating’, just fine, thank you.” Sam quickly began to storm off to the cafeteria. “See ya later!”
“Uh-Uh, Sam where are going?! Sam?!”
Both Commanders watched as their nephew left through one of the entrances, Sunset, Twilight and Fluttershy said their goodbyes and followed Sam. Celestia sighed and placed her hands on her hips as she gave Luna a stern glare. “Really, Luna, can you at least try and be a little less…well, there’s another word I’d like to use, but since we’re among our students, I’ll just say: uptight?”
Luna rolled her eyes. “Sister, you treat that boy in a much too childish way. Lest you forget what he is and what he can do?”
“I haven’t forgotten at all, but perhaps treating him as family will have a more positive impact than treating him differently,” said Celestia, “might I remind YOU of his disabilities.”
“Agree to disagree, Sister.”
[Canterlot City, 2:15 P. M.]
Sunset, Twilight and Fluttershy had followed Sam to the city, in all honesty he was acting instinct rather than thinking it through, but in the end, they found themselves at the Crystal Palace Mall, sitting in the middle of the food court. Upon surveying the area, it seemed that Sam wasn’t the only student who wanted to get away from the campus for a bit, as there were some students who were still in uniform either walking about the mall or in the food court. There were possibly more, but they may have already switched to their regular civilian clothes.
The four were sipping on some smoothies that Sam had bought, the air around them had become silent and awkward. Fluttershy looked as if she wanted to say something, but Sam’s slight scowl made her stop before the words could leave her mouth.
“Sorry.”
“W-What?”
“I mean, sorry for dragging you all out here…I wasn’t really thinking, and I just acted…Probably scared you a little, huh?”
The three gave awkward smiles. “Well, maybe not so much ‘scared’ as much as ‘surprised’. Do you not like the commanders?” Twilight asked.
Sam released a sigh as he leaned back and looked up at the ceiling. “I don’t know, I don’t hate them…I guess that’s something…it’s complicated.”
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t be prying,” said Twilight.
“Don’t worry, it’s actually nice to have someone to talk to, I’ve always been a loner…for as much as I can remember, anyway.”
That caught Fluttershy’s attention. “Wait, what do you mean by that?” The she remembered the Spark Dolls and what Sam said about them.
Sam thought about it for a moment, he was going to be living in the same dorm with these girls for the foreseeable future, and it couldn’t hurt to have at least these girls the trust. “Truth is…I don’t know much about myself; I like be with my parents, heck I love them, but the thing is I don’t really feel a strong connection to them. Like I never knew my real parents, and those Spark Dolls, they were the only things to make me feel like I had friends. I was always alone back at my old school, no one talked to me, no one would help me, the only time I would be when I got bullied, as I had the Spark Dolls to play with. Sorry to say you three got stuck with a bit of a problem child as a roommate.”
Twilight shook her head. “It’s not your fault you were bullied, but…can I ask you something?”
“Yes.”
“Well…I never really had a friend – I’ve always been a bit socially inept…”
everyone raised an eyebrow at Twilight.
“Okay, I am socially inept, but I kind of want to change that. I know in order to advance anywhere in life, you need to socialize, make connections, and not just business ones, but ones built on trust,” Twilight explained.
“Sounds like you’re talking about friendship,” Sunset said.
“Yes that! And…I don’t know if this is too forward of me…but, I’d like it if we all could be friends?” Twilight asked nervously.
Sam couldn’t help but chuckle at that wording. “I don’t know…tell you what, make it friends with benefits, and then I’ll agree.”
“Oh, I’ve never heard of that kind, but if you want to be friends like that, I wouldn’t mind trying it!” Twilight stated enthusiastically.
The redhead spat out his smoothie onto the table. “Are you serious?! Do you even know what that means?!”
Twilight blinked.
“Oh god, you really are socially inept…” Sam ran his hand down his face. For a moment, he thought about letting her agree, but she wasn’t that evil. “No, no, we’ll just be friends, not the other one.”
“Did I say something wrong?” Twilight asked, nervous that she may have damaged a potential friendship right out of the gate.
Fluttershy could only blush as Sunset was trying not to laugh.
“It’s…give me your ear,” Sam said
Twilight leaned forward and allowed Sam to whisper into her ear, after a few seconds Twilight’s face was burning bright red to the point that steam was practically coming out of her ears. “Samuel Metters!” Twilight exclaimed as she pulled back.
Sunset, Sam and Fluttershy laughed at her reaction, making the nerdy girl pout. “Sorry, sorry, but seriously though, I wouldn’t mind. Just letting you know now, I’m a handful.”
“Yeah anyway I think you have something for Fluttershy,” Sunset remarked giving Sam a devilish grin.
“What?! Hell no!” Sam shouted, turning as red as his hair.
“Oh my…” Fluttershy blushed deeper until she was as pink as a rose.
Twilight cleared her throat, “I’d be lying if I said I probably wasn’t the same way, but others have said otherwise.” She then grabbed her smoothie glass and held it up. “To new friends?”
Sam chuckled and he, Sunset and Fluttershy brought up their glass, “New friends.”
*Tink*
Suddenly, an earthquake happened as an alarm went off from their HoloPads. Every student in the food court immediately pulled them out and opened them to see what was going on.
[Code Red: Imminent Terra Beast Attack. If you are receiving this message report to the nearest Shelter immediately, CAT Assault Teams have been dispatched.]
“Crap, girls we need to go,” Sam said as they got up and began to run. But then Sam noticed that Twilight hadn’t gotten up.
Sam ran back to see Twilight was beginning to hyperventilate, her pupils shrinking to pinpricks as her body began to shake.
Sam quickly slipped his HoloPad back into his blazer pocket and went to Twilight. “Twilight, you’re having a panic attack, I need you to focus!”
“I…I…can’t breathe!”
“Yes, you can, look at me!” Sam made Twilight look her in the eyes. “We need to leave and head to the shelter, I know you’re scared, but I’m right here!”
Twilight kept her focus on Sam’s eyes, trying to control her breathing and the hammering of her heart. It was strange, but Twilight did feel herself calming down, whenever this happened, the only other people who could get her to calm down was her parents, her big brother, and her sister-in-law/former babysitter. But Sam, somehow, was having the same effect on her. After a few seconds, Twilight’s breathing steadied itself enough to where she didn’t feel like she was going to pass out.
“You with me?” Sam asked.
“Y-Yes,” Twilight stated in weak tone.
“Good girl, let’s go!”
Sam and Twilight made it outside with Sunset and Fluttershy already outside as the earthquake stopped, but as soon as it stopped three monsters rose up from the ground. The first seemed to resemble an earth worm with green skin, and a rounded head.
The second was some sort of mole monster with red spikes on his back, red eyes and a jackhammer snout.
And the third was a dark green thorny devil-like monster with spikes all over his body, and seemed to walk on all fours.
“What in the hell are they?” Sam shouted.
“Detton, Angross and Magular”, everyone turned to Fluttershy.
“Wait, Fluttershy you know who these monsters are?” Sunset asked in wonder.
“Well yeah”, Fluttershy responded shyly, “I’ve been studying monsters of the elements and monsters like these are in the Terra Class.”
Then they looked to see the CAT jets and Tanks rolling in to defend the monsters.
The airspace around Canterlot City was blanketed with CAT’s specialized aerial fighter jets, code named Cheetahs, a nod to the fastest feline in the world. The aircraft had a blade like design, sporting bow mounted twin photon repeater cannons, and missile launcher that was released from the Bombay panels beneath the aircraft. On the ground, several tank-like vehicles were scrambled and lined up. Each one was coloured blue with black stripes, and was heavily armoured, on top of the tanks they sported a large plasma cannon, these powerhouses were code named: Tiger.
The Tiger tanks immediately fired upon Detton, releasing bursts of plasma energy straight at it. The energized ordinance impacted against the monster and exploded; it did appear to cause it some damage but not much but did succeed in grabbing its attention. Detton inhaled and then exhaled a jet a flames that roared down the street and washed over the tanks, thankfully the Tigers and Cheetahs were equipped with energy shielding, however, it wasn’t permanent. The Cheetahs broke off into teams of three and nosedived for Magular and Angross.
The photon cannons fired rapidly on the creatures. The flame attack was ceased as Magular used its spiked back to shield itself from the rain of photon bolts. The Cheetahs broke off as another three followed up behind them and launched several missiles at Angross. Each struck the beast’s head, shoulders, arms, and back, exploding against its armoured body. Unfortunately, their attacks seemed to do little more than irritate the behemoth. When the next trio arrived, Magular opened its mouth and fired fireballs at the jets. The Cheetah that were flying in all began to scatter, but some did not escape, the fireballs managed to destroy some of the Cheetahs, luckily the pilot managed to escape.
The monsters were not done yet as Detton reared its head back and launched a stream of fire. The flames soared into the air, as it hit a few more of the Cheetahs and taking them out of the fight. One of the fighter’s broke off from the rest and spiralled down the flames, the code name written on the side of this fighter was “Blitz”. When the rogue Cheetah reached Detton’s head, it released one salvo after the other, continuously firing its photon cannons into the beast’s face.
At the same time, one Tiger tank revved up its engine and charged up its plasma cannon. The tank fired a concentrated charged beam blast straight at the monster face, combining into a powerful explosion that made the beast cry out in pain as it stumbled backwards and crashed into some buildings.
The rogue Cheetah pulled up and re-joined the rest of the squadron, but not before getting an earful from their captain.
{Dammit rookie, I told you not to pull any crazy ass stunts like this! This ain’t the simulator!}
{Sorry, Captain Spitfire, but if I didn’t that thing was going to keep taking out our fighters! Ma’am!}
An audible groan could be heard coming from the other line. {Yeah, you and that tanker did good, but that trick won’t work twice, next time you might get a face full of fire. Your shield’s reading at 30%, hang back with the rest of us. That’s an order Private Dash.}
At that moment, a voice with a southern drawl called in and said, {Sorry to interrupt, but that overgrown worm is gettin’ back up again!}
Indeed, Detton was getting back up, and looked none too pleased that it had gotten the equivalent of a sucker punch to the face. Detton inhaled again bellowed out more of its intense flames, bathing the ground and sky indiscriminately in its blazing rage. Many of the structures around it began to explode and crumble under the intensity of the flames forcing the CAT forces to fall back.
‘This is not good’, Sam thought.
It had taken a bit for Twilight to find the strength to run, Sam had hoped the adrenaline would be enough to get her strength back after her panic attack, it was, but not to the degree he was hoping. Nonetheless, Twilight was able to finally get her legs moving the way she wanted to, but her lack of physical activity was showing as her breathing was laboured, her muscles crying out in protest of how long the three girls and boy had been running.
All of them had to stop several times while the battle was going, the monsters had appeared not too far from the mall, and the nearest shelter was close to the battlefield. Sam had thought to take the car, but a rogue chunk of debris had fallen right onto the car, caving it in and making it useless. The four stopped again in an alleyway, catching their breath. Sunset took out her HoloPad and checked their position, from what she could tell, they were one block away from the shelter. Sunset looked to Sam, which he looked to Fluttershy and Twilight, her body slumped up against the wall of the building as her chest heaved, if it was just himself, he could make it easily, but Twilight…
“L-Leave…me…guys…!” Twilight stated between breaths.
“What?!”
“You…You’re faster…You’re not as tired…as I am…! At this rate…we’ll…we’ll all die!”
Sam’s brow knit at that. “I am not leaving you to die out here! We’re all getting to that shelter if I have to carry you there!” Or…there’s another option…
Suddenly, a roar from Angross ceased all thoughts running through their heads. Angross dug its drill nose into the ground and causing geysers of earth to go shooting into the air, slamming into them like a freight train and causing them to fall over.
“GIRLS!” Sam shouted as he dove for his new friend.
They all hit the ground just as a large chunk of the ground slid down and crashed against the other. Pieces of debris cascaded on both sides, cutting off their escape, and right over that, the flames from Detton.
Sam and the girls coughed as dirt covered them and the dust hung in the air. Twilight took out her cell phone and turned on the light, seeing how they were alive. Miraculously, the building fell in just the right way to allow for a small pocket to form, however, that was not exactly a good thing. It didn’t take long for them all to feel the heat radiating around them, turning their small refuge into a brick oven.
“At…At this rate, we’ll die from heatstroke long before those flames get to us, that’s also factoring in our current physical condition!” Sunset gritted her teeth, there was something Sam could do, something that he wasn’t sure that Celestia and Luna would like. Just then, he felt Fluttershy’s wrap around his arm as she held tight, feeling her body shaking in fear and terror. Twilight was doing the same to Sunset.
“Sam, I’m scared, I don’t want to die…” Fluttershy cried.
‘Screw it!’ Sam bent down on one knee and looked Fluttershy in the eyes. “I need you to make me a promise, right here, right now, Fluttershy and Twilight!”
“W-What promise?” Twilight asked.
“Whatever you see today, you will never speak a word of it to anyone at school! Not your family, not anyone! Do you understand?! Please promise me!”
Twilight and Fluttershy nodded vigorously and said, “Yes, we promise!”
Sam smiled and patted Fluttershy on the head, earning her a confused look from the bespectacled girl. She then stood up and held out his arms, within seconds the entirety of their refuge was engulfed in blinding light, but for Sam it was different.
All around him was a starry nexus, he opened the dice holder and pulled one coin that had a figure drawn on it and said, “Lend me your power, Ultraman!” Sam placed the coin into his left gauntlet. A red essence flew out from this coin and appeared on his right, this being looked similar to the first, but his body was more silver and red.
{ULTRAMAN}
Sam took another coin and said, “Lend me the will of the earth, Gaia!” before placing it into the right gauntlet. From that coin a gold essence flew out and appeared next to him in the form of a man, with gold and black chest plate embedded into its body.
{ULTRAMAN GAIA}
“I shall bring peace and harmony to the universe!!” Upon saying this Sam crossed his arms, then raised them up, Ultraman and Gaia turned back into energy and went into Sam’s Ultra Gauntlets and finally smashed his fists together, causing red and gold energy to spiral around him.
{RISE ULTRAMAN SCORN SPECIUM PHOTON!}
From the outside, where the rubble was strewn, and the flames continued to roar, a light shined from the spot that the four were trapped under, causing the buildings to blow apart. A wave of sparkling, azure light washed over the entire area, extinguishing the flames. The wave eventually slammed into Detton, causing sparks to fly from its body as it was hurled onto its back. All CAT forces paused to watch as a giant of light appeared, the light that coated that giant began to dissipate and reveal the giant’s true form.
This being was male in appearance, its body, arms and legs, were all coloured bright sliver and red. The middle bands joined at waist to form a makeshift belt, completing the circuit around her back. Wrapped around his fists were golden Gauntlets that had embedded crimson jewels, the giant also sported gold markings on his head with red ears and the middle of his head formed a red crest. His upper body was covered in a gold, red and black armour plate. At the centre of this armour plate was a bright blue, crystal circle, the object was fastened to the armour by a gold metal edging.
“I am…Ultraman Scorn!” The Ultra Warrior announced as he assumed a fighting stance.
After picking itself back up, the Detton cried out with another screech, as if challenging the giant of light. Angross and Magular came over to fight the giant.
Scorn took off like an Olympic sprinter, charging straight for the creatures, he cocked back his right fist and punched Detton right in the face. The beast reeled from the impact, stumbling backwards, Scorn didn’t let up as he got in close and delivered a left hook to the Angross’ stomach, making it cry out in pain. Detton inhaled and bellowed out a stream of flames at Scorn, but he dodged it and it hit Magular making the monster cry out in pain.
The Ultra Warrior crouched low and then jumped into the air. Scorn flipped around in mid-air and stopped a few feet over the monster’s head, he then descended as his as his left gem glowed purple, and a translucent blade wrapped around his left hand, Detton looked up at the last second as Scorn cried out, “POISON SLASH!”
Scorn slashed his energized hand into the side of the monster’s shoulder, sending it flying several feet as it slammed through several buildings at once and making it poisoned. Scorn wasn’t about to give these creatures a chance to counterattack as he dashed towards Magular as his fists glowed yellow and Scorn cried out “SUNLIGHT SHOT!” Scorn fired a beam of flames which burned hotter than the sun and destroyed the monster in one go. Before he could charge up another attack, Angross jumped and landed on Scorn. Scorn was tackled to the ground as Angross pummelled him.
Detton rose up from the rumble and then ran up to Scorn and Angross, Sam managed to get Angross off him only to get knocked back down as Detton charged at him. Scorn got up and could see the poison was doing its work as Detton seemed to slow down a bit. Angross launched forward again, but Scorn was ready, he caught Angross and through him into the air, his fists gems glowed red as they were ingulfed in flames, “BURNING PUNCH!”, Scorn shouted as he raised a fists up and as Angross came down again Scorn smashed his left fist straight into Angross making him explode.
Scorn had now one monster to defeat, but he was growing tired, he looked around for Detton, but he wasn’t anywhere to be sewn. Until Detton appeared from underground, causing Scorn to fall over as his rose from the ground, preparing to unleash another fire attack. Scorn got up and took this chance as he swung both his legs back and struck the monster in the gut with both of his feet, making it back away and belch out its flames too early onto a building nearby.
However, Detton still had its strength, although the poison was doing a number on it. The beast began to run again and with a flick of its feet, launched itself and began to spin like a drill at Scorn. The Ultraman moved to the right as Detton just passed him. Scorn grabbed Detton’s tail and swung it around before letting go and making him go flying. Detton roared in either pain or anger as it couldn’t get a direct hit on the Ultra.
At that time, the symbol on his chest began to blink red, and Scorn knew he had to end this quickly. Just then, both of his gauntlet gems began to glow brightly. The Ultraman’s gems shined as he widened his stance, he crossed his arms, lifted them above his head, brought them the sides, and placed his left hand behind his right arm. Energy continued to gather more and more, making the gems glow brighter as they changed colours. The name, the name of his strongest attack rang in Scorn’s – in Sam’s – head as he bellowed it out.
“SEPTICIUM BEAM!”
A beam of golden light shot out, tearing up the street and buildings in its wake. The beam struck Detton with the sound of resounding thunder. The monster roared in pain as the beam continued to deal continuous damage to it, but, after another couple of seconds, the worn-like monster exploded into a fiery nothingness. Scorn quickly ceased his attack, panting as he saw that Detton had been completely destroyed, no trace remaining of the worm monster from the underground. Scorn turned around and saw that the Tiger tanks were now aiming their weapons on him but had not fired. The Cheetahs in the sky were still flying around, and no doubt ready to attack should he do anything else.
‘Better get going.’
Scorn jumped straight up, taking flight and zooming through the air. One of the Cheetahs, with the code name “Blitz” written on it, flew after Scorn. The Cheetah fighter managed to get alongside Scorn, the pilot looked in Scorn’s direction, and as she did, Scorn glanced towards the Cheetah and gave a little salute before doubling his speed and leaving the fighter in the dust. Scorn continued to fly until he vanished from sight.
As the pilot of the Cheetah brought her fighter into a hover, the voice of their Commander called out, {Space Beast eradication confirmed. Begin recovery of all fallen aircraft and personnel}
It took a few hours for the Clean-up Crew to collect the wreckage of the down Cheetahs, but thankfully there were no casualties. After all the Tigers and Cheetahs headed back to their standby positions.
Twilight, Sunset and Fluttershy had gotten back to their room after the fight between the three monsters and the ultra. Fluttershy and Twilight were very confused by what had occurred they had watched their new friend transform into a giant.
“Oh, I hope Sam is okay”, Fluttershy said as she that, the door opened, and Sam limped in holding his arm. He looked up to see the looks he was getting from his roommates.
“Heh, I got explaining to do”, he said.
“Mhm,” Sunset replied with a cocky look.
