“Okay Rarity, I’m going now; I’m finally going to see that beautiful place again after 7 years!”
“Just be careful Sweetie; I heard the path that leads there are now a bit rugged and maybe even hazardous. I’d go with you but I want to finish as many projects as I can so I spend more time with you tomorrow. Just make sure that you don’t do anything that you shouldn’t.”
“Rarity, I’m going to be 13 tomorrow; I’m not a little pony anymore!”
“I know, I just… want you to be safe and make sure that you don’t get hurt or anything. After all it would be a real bummer if you had to go hospital on your birthday. Just make sure that you’ll take your time and go easy as you travel up there. Are you sure you don’t want to wait?”
“Of course not Rarity; I‘ve been waiting to go see that place for quite some time now! And don’t worry, I’ll be fine; stop worrying so much.”
“All right, you’re right. You are becoming a big pony now, ‘Sniffle’ and our parents and I are so proud. Go forth Sweetie Belle and let nothing stop you!”
“Will do big sis; and by the way, tone it down with the drama acting, okay?”
Tomorrow was Sweetie Belle’s 13th birthday and she was so excited that she decided to give herself an early birthday present by walking herself all the way to the top of the mountain nearby Ponyville; the same place where Sweetie’s big sister and her friends once faced a giant dragon. Located there was a rope bridge that led to a special wide field area filled with Cotton Flowers. They are exactly what the name said; they’re flower stems with huge fluffs of cotton on them. They say laying on them and rolling on them is like resting on a comfortable soft blanket. Sweetie couldn’t wait to test that theory; the last time she was there it was with her family when she was only six.
Rarity couldn’t go with her because she wanted to finish as much of her work as possible so she could spend more time with her on her birthday. Scootaloo was spending time with her family and Apple Bloom was helping with her family’s business; so she chose to go on her own. Since she was going to become a teen mare soon, she felt like she could handle anything that would come her way. On top of that, she had her cutiemark for good luck; it was a picture of a heart surrounded by a couple of pink swirls and music notes representing her love for singing and music.
She was walking down the main road on her way out of Ponyville when suddenly she came across one of her colt classmates, Featherweight. He was lying on a nearby bench just sighing to himself out of boredom. Sweetie Belle decided to go over to him to see what was wrong; he looked like he needed some cheering up.
“Hey Featherweight, what are you doing here all by yourself?”
Featherweight suddenly jumped out of his funk and landed on all 4 of his hooves. He then saw who was calling him.
“Oh, h-hi Sweetie Belle, just spending some quality time alone, all by myself.”
“Why are you all by yourself on such a beautiful day like today; and where are your friends?”
Featherweight gave a big sigh and plops his head on the bench, “Over the last week I keep trying to convince the others ‘hey guys, we need to finish our homework for school. The sooner we finish the sooner we don’t have to worry about it.’ But nooooo; they were all like ‘Oh come on, we can do that stuff later. We have plenty of time to do all that.’ So I let them do what they wanted to do and I did what we were supposed to do together. Now they’re all too busy at their homes panicking trying to finish their work at the last minute… and I’m here with nothing to do because my friends were being idiots.”
Sweetie Belle felt a little sorry for Featherweight; seemed a little pitiful for a colt like him to be bored like this. But then she had a great idea.
“Hey Featherweight, I’m on my way to the cotton flower fields near the top of that mountain; wanna come with me?”
The Pegasus’ eyes became wide as he looked up at Sweetie Belle, “Y-you… want me to c-come with you?”
“Sure,” Sweetie said with a pleasant smile, “it’ll be fun having company with me.”
Featherweight felt a little light-hearted thinking of hanging out Sweetie Belle; she just so happens to be his filly crush ever since he met her when they were younger foals. But then… it hit him.
“Wait a minute… Sweetie Belle, w-who else is going with you?”
“No-pony actually,” she responded, “it’ll be just you and me; so what do you say?”
Featherweight suddenly went from feeling light-hearted to feeling excited and nervous; but he jumped to the chance otherwise.
“YES!!! I-I mean *Ahem*, sure I’ll come; I don’t have anything else to do today.”
“Great, let’s go!” shouted Sweetie Belle in an excited tone.
With that, Sweetie started to walk off towards her destination with a nervous yet love struck Featherweight not too far behind.
Once out of Ponyville the two ponies were lightly trotting down the pathway that would eventually lead them to the gigantic mountain. Sweetie was humming a cheerful tune to herself while Featherweight was walking right beside her just looking at her smiling. He couldn’t think of any happier moment than being with Sweetie Belle all alone. He always fell smitten for her beautiful melodic signing voice; it always calms him down and makes him feel better. He never told her that of course but he never had the guts to do so.
“Um… S-Sweetie belle,” said Featherweight suddenly, “any particular reason you’re going to this place?”
“Tomorrow’s my birthday; I’m turning 13 you know. I just wanted to treat myself by going to that location. It’s so beautiful and serene and they say that lying on the cotton flowers feels like lying on one huge blanket. I don’t remember much cause I was only six at the time, so this trip there will be a nice nostalgic moment for me. My sister and my friends are a bit busy right now so I was going to go there myself, but now you’re here!”
She looked around and then told him, “Don’t tell my sister, but I do feel a little safer with you here; I just didn’t want to admit it to my sister that I’m still a little scared going somewhere on my own.”
“Really,” said Featherweight, “well I’m glad to be of service.”
Sweetie just giggled a little at Featherweight’s little comment; she found it a bit cute.
“Say Featherweight, would you mind if I walk in front of you? That way you can kind of be like my body guard negating any dangers from behind me. I am joking a little of course but you never know.”
The young colt didn’t really care much, he’d be happy to risk his life for her till’ the end of his days.
“S-sure thing I don’t mind.”
They continued their way to the mountain saying little to nothing at all to each other. Featherweight was literally looking out for Sweetie Belle making sure that no danger had befallen on her. But perhaps he was paying too much attention because he didn’t look where he was going. Unknown to him at one point Sweetie Belle had stopped and he accidentally rammed into her rump; face first. When he realized his situation he blushed and quickly backed off of her. Sweetie Belle looked over to him with an amused look on her face.
“Wow Featherweight, it’s nice that you’re looking out for me, but you should be careful and look where you’re going too.”
“Y-yeah, sorry about that;” Featherweight responded, “I’ll be more careful next time.”
“Well don’t look now, but we’re at the mountain; time to start climbing!”
Featherweight wanted to protect Sweetie Belle some more and thought that this was a perfect time to ask.
“Um… would you like me to fly you to the top? It could get you to your location a bit sooner.”
Sweetie just shook her head, “Nah, actually I want to climb all the way; I feel like living a little dangerous. Just watch my back, okay?”
“Okay, I will!” Featherweight strongly agreed.
As they were traversing up the mountain, Sweetie continued to lightly sing and hum to herself to keep her positive spirits up. Featherweight was continuing to look after her to make sure that nothing bad happened to her. But soon he realized that he was doing a little less looking at their surroundings and a lot more looking at her. When he accidentally rammed into her, his face was directly on her private area right underneath her tail. That was the closest he’s ever been to Sweetie Belle’s sweet flank. He couldn’t help but stare at it as it swayed side-to-side and her tail swing back and forth.
They were on a slight incline while walking up the mountain so Sweetie’s tail was hanging off a weird angle and was not covering that certain area on her completely; they were directly in the sights of Featherweight’s eyes. Featherweight saw that as a huge relief, he would never forgive himself if he allowed his private part to be seen by Sweetie’s eyes; after all who else would she know out here would be causing him to do that.
After they reached the near top and was back on flat grounds, he was partially glad that her feminine bits weren’t visibly on display anymore; but part of him wanted to see them again. He was trying not to think that though. They soon reached this huge crevice that separated from where they were and the other side where the cotton flower fields would be waiting; but when they got there, Featherweight heard Sweetie Belle yell out…
“OH NO!”
Featherweight quickly rushed to her aid and asked, “What is it, Sweetie Belle?! Is something wrong?!”
Sweetie was wiping tears from her eyes then looked at him and said, “Yes, there is! The bridge to that mountain ridge is out! This is the only way to get over there… unless you’re a Pegasus! Now what am I going to do?”
Featherweight realized what he could do for her, but was almost afraid to bring it up. Nonetheless, he found the courage to ask about it anyway.
“Y-you know Sweetie Belle, I’m… a Pegasus; I could… fly you over there if you want m-me to.”
Sweetie Belle couldn’t believe that she didn’t think of that in the first place, “Oh yeah, that’s right! I guess it’s a good thing you came along, huh? I’m so lucky!”
She got into a forward standing position towards the crevice and looked over at the nervous Pegasus, “Well, what are you waiting for? Hoist me up and let’s go!”
Featherweight quickly flew up in the air and hovered down above Sweetie Belle. He hesitated a bit at first while sweating a bit, but then he came down, placed his hooves around Sweetie’s waist, and then started to fly her over the huge mountain crevice where a long connecting bridge used to be.
“Wow,” Sweetie said while looking down, “we’re up so high. It feels exciting… and scary at the same time. You know, I could’ve transported myself across since I’m a unicorn, but I’m afraid that I haven’t mastered that ability yet; Twilight is helping me improve though.”
“I’m pretty sure you’ll master it soon;” said Featherweight while holding sweetie belle a bit tighter against him and was slowing his flying speed, “you’re pretty… talented that is! You’re pretty talented.”
Sweetie Belle may have been older at this point, but she could still be a little scatterbrained. She was completely oblivious of how Featherweight felt about her. Suddenly, she couldn’t help but notice how warm and comfortable it was being against Featherweight’s body.
“Jeez Featherweight, you feel so warm; it feels quite comfortable.” Then she looked up at him, “Do I feel nice and warm to you?”
He completely agreed with her; feeling his nice warm embrace against her body made him feel so relaxed and limp.
“Y-yeah… you sure do Sweetie Belle. It’s like I’m holding a warm cotton blanket. It almost makes me feel like… like…”
Sweetie suddenly felt Featherweight’s grip loosening around her as she was slowly slipping from his hooves. She quickly shouted out, “Featherweight!”
He suddenly snapped out of it and realized what he was doing; he quickly re-tightens his grip around Sweetie’s body, “Oh, right! I’m sorry, so, so, sorry! I didn’t mean to do that!”
“It’s okay,” she responded, “I just didn’t know I felt that comfortable; you literally almost let me go.”
Featherweight’s face blushed bright red from embarrassment; he needed to be more careful next time.
“But you know, all that climbing did make me a little tired. What do you say that we rest a bit after we land; does that sound good to you?”
Featherweight slightly nodded his head while yawning a bit, “Well, I do feel a bit sleepy, so that does sound like a great idea.”
After flying for a few more minutes, they finally reached the other side of the mountain top. Featherweight slowly flew down and placed Sweetie Belle gently on the ground. After stretching her legs a bit, she looked over at the yawning Pegasus and said something that was on her mind.
“You know Featherweight, on the way over here I noticed that you were holding me awfully close to you very tightly, and you seemed to be flying a bit slower than I thought you would.”
Featherweight started to panic thinking of what she would do if she found out what he was thinking of her.
“I-it’s not what you think! I did say I was sorry, and I…”
“Relax; I know you only did it to keep me safe. You held onto me tightly because you didn’t want to risk me falling… like you almost did a few minutes ago; and you only flew slowly because you were afraid that you might lose your grip if you went to fast.” She gave him a bright smile, “I really am glad I brought you along, you’re such a gentlecolt.”
As she walked on Featherweight felt very proud of himself as well a little lucky. Forget hanging out with the guys, this was a thousand times better!
“Thank you Celestia, thank you,” he thought to himself.
They eventually found a little opening in the mountain side that was slightly cool inside.
“We can rest for a bit here,” said Sweetie Belle, “afterwards, we can finally go see the beautiful cotton flower fields; ‘sigh’ I can’t wait!”
Featherweight just smiled at the sight of Sweetie Belle feeling so happy and he helped make her feel that way. He immediately lowered himself down on the ground and laid out in a relaxing position. After he closed his eyes, he suddenly felt a warm object pushing up against his underside. He looked and saw Sweetie Belle getting herself comfortable against his feathers and then curling up against him. She yawned and said in a sweet sounding soft voice, “Sweet dreams, Featherweight.”
She instantly fell asleep; obviously she was more tired then she thought she was. Featherweight looked upon her and couldn’t help but smile again seeing her sleeping like this; she looked like an angel. He gave her a little light lick on the forehead before saying…
“Sweet dreams, Sweetie Belle.”
Then he dozed off to sleep himself.
The Best Birthday Gift EVER!!!
(Prepare for a lot of CLOP-ness... and I mean a lot. Noting again that this is my first clop-fic and I made it after reading a huge share of clop-fics made by others. Feel free to tell me how I did.)
More than two hours had passed since Featherweight and Sweetie Belle fell asleep together in a small opening within the mountain top walls. Once they woke up, they continued advancing towards their destination. Sweetie was so excited she kept bouncing up and down so much; you’d think that Pinkie gave her some lessons.
“Come on Featherweight, we should be nearly there,” said Sweetie Belle with excitement in her voice, “Hurry up slowpoke!”
“Don’t worry, I’m right here,” Featherweight replied.
Sweetie eventually stopped hopping out of exaustion, but the constant wiggling in her body’s movement still showed that she was pretty ecstatic. Featherweight was pretty amused staring at her being all excited. But for some weird reason he felt that his body was feeling excited too; not because he was going to see a wondrous place but because a wondrous sight was already in front of him.
“Wow, she’s so cute and beautiful when she’s excited,” he thought to himself, “and in the cave, she felt… so soft.”

“NO!!! Wait, it’s in a very annoying area; it’s embarrassing.”
Suddenly, she stopped, “Oh, okay; sorry. I guess that would be rude to do that in front of my eyes… heh.”
Featherweight sighed of relief, “That was way too close for comfort. A few more steps and she would’ve seen this monstrosity. I don’t want her to be freaked out before her birthday.”
“OMG!” Sweetie Belle suddenly shouted out, “There it is!”
She ran forward several feet in front of her, only to come to the edge of a small hill that led down to the beautiful field of cotton flowers. Featherweight was a couple of feet behind her while still trying to keep his still slightly erect member from being visible.
“So this is the place; I’m quite surprised that I never heard about this place.”
Sweetie couldn’t help but smile the biggest grin she ever had made in her life, “Isn’t it beautiful? It’s even more majestic than I remembered!” She closed her eyes and raised her head up feeling the brisk breeze that blew by. “And feel that wonderful breeze; I bet I had so much fun here back then.”
The field looked like it went on forever; there was bright white everywhere you looked and the area of the place was gigantic! The flowers swayed back in forth in the wind; the sight was just awe inspiring.

While Sweetie Belle was distracted by the marvelous sight, it gave Featherweight a perfect opportunity to calm his hormones down. He turned around so he wouldn’t have any distractions. But when he did, he came face-to-face with a bumble bee; unfortunately for Featherweight, he was terrified of bees.
“BEEEEE!!!!” the frighten Pegasus suddenly yelled out. He blindly ran forward away from it; but since he didn’t look at where he was going, he went and smashed right into Sweetie Belle. They both yelped upon impact as they started to tumble down the hill and into the flowers below. When they stopped rolling, Sweetie was on her back and Featherweight was on top of her with his eyes swirling from dizziness.
Sweetie Belle shook her head to keep her head from spinning; then she looked up at Featherweight with a light scowl and started to complain, “Ahh, Featherweight! This isn’t what I meant when I said rolling around in the flowers! You should really watch where you are going, we could’ve been seriously hurt and… *GASP!*”
Suddenly, Sweetie Belle had a bit of a shivering feeling when she felt something poking her belly from between them.
“Umm… Featherweight,” she said very nervously while slightly sweating, “what’s that thing I feel pressing up against me in between us?”
Featherweight finally came out of his dizzy spell; but when he realized his position and the fact that his member was still out and pressing against Sweetie Belle, he screamed and quickly flew off backwards away from her. Unfortunately, he was still a bit dizzy and his quick action caused him to stumble and fall to the ground on his back. He sat up trying to regain his composure, but even if he did it was already too late.
