The bright morning sun beamed high in a clear sky, a sign of another great day to be alive. Busily scurrying through the kitchen of his simple house, an average man Jack was making breakfast, “Rocky!,” Jack called out to his dog, it was a ritual for them to eat breakfast together, “breakfast is ready!”
“You and that dog, hahaha,” Laurel, Jack’s sister, chuckled, placing one bottle of orange juice on the table.
Before Jack could reply, the sound of paws came racing down the stairs from the second floor. The man grinned at the sight; his dog never missed his morning bacon.
'Typical Rocky’ Jack inwardly chuckled.

The twelve-year-old golden retriever dog, wearing a bright red collar on his neck with his name on it, was already in the kitchen, tail wagging and ready for his morning bacon.
“I swear this dog gets ten years younger when it comes to bacon,” Laurel chuckled.
“You don’t even know haft of it,” Jack replied, sipping on his drink.
The day continued as usual, with Jack going off to work as soon as he was done with his breakfast, Laurel had come to visit and stay with her brother for a couple of weeks with the intention to help him in the farm.
Jack had inherited the family farm when his parents died and had worked on it mostly alone, Laurel had gone to college, and he didn’t want to hold her back, so Jack decided to stay and keep the family business running and help his sister to pay for college on the way.
Laurel loved her big brother, who became the pillar of the family when he was most needed, helping everyone without asking anything in return.
Kind-hearted, hardworking, honest, compassionate, generous, loyal, were some of the few words used by those who knew him.
He always saw the good in others, no matter that he believed that everyone was good by nature; in the end, this ideology was his downfall.
But some low-life local thugs thought that Jack was a wealthy man, that he had a fortune, and that’s why he was always helping the people in the community. What other reason could possibly explain why Jack was always there to help others without asking for anything in exchange.
The thugs were sure that he was loaded, and they wanted a piece of that fortune.
After finishing working on the farm with his sister, Jack decided it was time to go out to dinner with his little sister.
There weren’t many occasions for him to go out with her, so he would go big.
Texas roadhouse, the family restaurant where they went once a month when they were kids, they had so many good memories there.
Jack had left his wallet in the house, after losing several while working out in the fields, he concluded that it was better to leave his belongings in the house, at least the important ones.
“Wait for me in the restaurant, will you?” Jack said with a grin on his face, “Take Rocky,”
“WOOF!” Rocky barked in agreement.
The restaurant accepted animals, and especially Rocky, who was one of the greatest customers the establishment ever had; after all, he was the goodest boy.
“Okay, hurry up, I’m hungry,” Laurel smiled back at Jack.
Jack got into his truck and drove to his house, he just needed to change his shirt and grab his wallet, as he approached the house, he noted that the lights were on, Jack was sure he had left them off when he left for work,

Something was off, but Jack shrugged it off the feeling, maybe he forgot to turn them off.
Getting out of his truck, Jack picked up the sound of someone moving inside the house, he immediately grabbed the gun he had for emergencies, sighed and slowly walked over to the house.
Jack opened the door slowly being extremely careful to not many any sound, once the door was open he took a good look around, surveying the area, everything was a mess, it seemed like someone was looking for something inside the house, but what?.
Jack took a deep breath and entered the house, keeping his slow and steady pace. But as soon as he was inside of the house, the sound of a gun clocking sent an involuntary shiver runs down his spine, “Don’t move Jacky, and drop the gun.”
Obeying, Jack dropped his gun and asked, “What do you want?” Why would someone try to rob him, he didn’t have anything of value.
“Guys, Jackie boy is down here!” The young thug announced out loud, seconds later, Jack could hear two or three people running down the stairs to the living room, where Jack and his captor were.
“Hello, hello, hello Jack,” one of the young men said, and although Jack couldn’t see their faces, he could recognize their voices, “Jack we have quite a problem,”
Mark, Aaron, and Anthony, the three problem kids in town, but this was quite the leap, from bothering your neighbors to armed robbery was a big step.
“What problem?” Jack asked, feeling the cold metal of the gun pointed at his head.
“You help everyone around you, Jacky, and you’re always helping the community,” The young man said with a laugh, “How about you help us this time, Jacky? we want the money; now we can do this the easy way, or...” The young man loaded his gun, and aimed at Jack’s face, “The hard way,”
Jack sighed and said, “No money is worth dying for, it’s in the basement,”
The three young men dragged Jack into the basement, where he led them to the safe. Jack just wanted this to be over, so without thinking twice, he opened the safe.
But apparently, they weren’t happy with what was inside, they wanted more, more than Jack had.
“What the hell is this,” Mark shouted, hitting Jack with his gun.
“That’s all I got,” Jack calmly replied, spitting out some blood from the hit.
“Don’t you lie to us, you son of a bitch!” Aaron cried out in anger as he aimed his gun at Jack.
“I’m not lying, Aaron,” Jack said, and the boy took a step back in shock.
“He knows who we are!” Anthony said with some fear on his voice, “We better get out of here man,”
“No... not without the money!” Mark growled, turning his attention to Jack, “We know you have more than ten grand Jack! where is the rest!”
“I’m a small farmer kiddo,” Jack chuckled, “That’s all I have...”
“LIES!” Mark cried in anger, hitting Jack once more.
“I don’t lie, kid,” Jack said, spitting more blood.
“Man, let’s get out of here, ten grand is good enough...” Anthony said, freaking out.
“I agree,” Anthony added, supporting his other friend.
“No, you fucking pussies!” Mark growled as he aimed his gun at Jack, “He is playing with us!”
“I’m not playing with you Kid---”
Jack couldn’t finish what he wanted to say, because a stray bullet had pierced his heart, he didn’t die immediately and was left to bleed out, the young thugs running out of the house in a panic, taking the money.
And yet Jack couldn’t bring himself to hate them, he was angry at them, but that was about it, how ironic, that by helping everyone he signed his own death sentence, but in reality, he wouldn’t change a thing, well maybe he would change some stuff like not going to eat with his sister or leaving her alone in the world so soon.
'Aint this... a stupid way to die,’ Was the last thought Jack had, and so he was no more, or so he expected.

Jack POV
Groaning, I opened my eyes, stretching. I found myself in a seemingly empty office, with a broad desk, I didn’t have much time to admire or look through the office, because I was sure I died, and I was still sure of that, but where was I?.
And more importantly, how did I get here?
I get up of the chair trying to find a door to exit the room, but I’m stopped as I hear a man laughing behind me, the man was seating the chair that was empty a few seconds ago.
“You can leave,” The man’s voice was deep and commanding, “Now sit, would you?”
“Where am I?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.
“Hell,” Was the man’s reply.
“So this is the end of the road for me,” I sighed, I honestly didn’t expect to go to hell, I was the best man I could possibly be.
“Don’t put on such a sad face...” The man chuckled, “While it is true you are in hell, it is not because it was your final destination.”
I was starting to get confused if this wasn’t my final destination then why the hell I was here, “Then why am I here?”
“You see, dear old dad and I have a.... we have a difference of opinion,” The man answered, “He thinks humans are capable of the ultimate good, I think them to be rotten and nothing but a waste of space, so I thought, Satan is time to show dad how right I am,”
'The Devil, great.'
“You are the perfect example of what father wanted when he created humanity,” Satan said with a hint of anger on his voice, “So... I want to show him... that even the best of you lot is nothing but a monster,”
“So that’s why I’m here,” He brought me here to teach his Dad, aka God, a petty lesson.
“Yes, but I can’t do it here,” Satan sighed, “So I will send you to a world out of my reach, and Father’s reach, and once you bring destruction, havoc, and chaos to it, well... he will see how right I am!”
“How do you pretend to do that?” I asked, there was no way in hell I would follow his orders or become a monster.
Satan started to chuckle before answering, “I know you are too good to become what I need, but that doesn’t mean I can change some minor things,”
Satan snapped his fingers, and suddenly, we were in the middle of a beautiful field, but before I could ask why did he bring me here, the sound of explosions and shockwaves caught my attention.
“Beautiful world, isn’t it?” Satan asked with a smirk on his face, “This is a world you are pretty familiar with, so many good monsters in this place, one of them is... particularly evil,”
For a second the world and everything stopped moving, and I finally understood where I was, my mind couldn’t believe it, but I knew my eyes weren’t deceiving me, I was in the middle of the fight between Kid Buu and Goku, Buu was struggling to keep the spirit bomb from killing him, and Goku was most likely giving his speech before finishing him off.

“This little pink fellow is as evil as they come, nothing more nothing less,” Satan chuckled in delight, “So I thought, how about I merge both one of the best humans and one of the best monsters together and see who reigns supreme, so tell me, can you control the beast within or will you show your true colors!?”
“No...” I started to panic a bit, what kind of half-ass logic was that? Buu was millions of years old; there was no way I had a chance to win any type of battle against that thing, not even a battle of minds.
“Yes!...” Satan smiled and snapped his fingers, just as he did that Buu disappeared.
A moment later, I felt a sharp pain invading my very being, like something fundamental inside of me was broken and forcibly shattered breaking me apart, in a pain so great it was beyond my simple human comprehension, and yet my consciousness was still there, clinging for survival.
“Now is time too~-----------” Satan was cut in the middle of his sentence.
I looked around and noticed he had disappeared out of sight, leaving me in a world where time had stopped, but the pain didn’t.
“I apologize, I found what my little brother had done too late,” A tall man with long and beautiful white hair bowed his head before me.
“Who are you?” I asked, gasping in pain.
“Gabriel,” Gabriel answered with a soft tone, “I can’t take the demon out of you, is a part of you now, but I will help you ease the pain, I will help you reign over it.”
I looked at the archangel in confusion, but it really didn’t matter what he offered as long it helped to ease the pain I was feeling.
“I will give you a feather from my wings,” Gabriel said as he plucked a feather from his shiny and majestic wings with his bare hands, the feather had the same glow his wings had giving me a sensation of calmness, “I will put this inside your soul, it will keep the demon at bay, as long as you fight him back, this feather is only as strong as you are, so don’t give up,”
He gently reached his hands to my chest, and the feather came in and fused with my being, the pain faded almost immediately, but I could still feel as if my heart was being crushed.
“That feels mighty better,” I sighed still on the ground.
“I can’t give you back the life you lost, but I will send you to a place you are less likely to awake the beast within,” Gabriel announced softly, “I will make sure your sister is safe and happy, is the least I can do for you after Lucifer destroyed your chances of going to heaven,”
“Will I be able to hold whatever Buu is?” I inquired, what if I failed to hold that monster, millions... no billions would die, and I would be the one responsible for it.
“As long as you trust in yourself my feather will keep the demon at bay,” Gabriel answered with a soft tone, “And don’t worry Lucifer will be punished accordingly for this,”
“So, where am I going?” I inquired, what world or universe did the archangel had in mind.
“A world that is entirely made out of magic,” Gabriel replied, “A world of harmony, for the most part, it less likely to trigger the beast compared to earth or other worlds where humans reign, no offense but you know... most of you are...”
“I know, we are assholes, so do I at least get to keep my body?” I asked, not sure I would appreciate learning basic stuff all over again, like going to the bathroom.
“I’m afraid not,” Gabriel sighed, “But rest assured you will adapt almost as if you were originally one of them, that will be my blessing to you, adaptability,”
“Very well,” I smiled, looking at my hands as long as I had them everything was alright.
“Go and show Lucifer your true colors,” Gabriel smiled as a blinding light devoured everything around.
