Scootaloo Defeats Celestia and Takes Her Crown "No Scootaloo, please! You don't have to do this! You can just walk away!" Scootaloo grinned deviously. "I'm afraid not Princess. After today I will have your crown and take your throne!" And with one swift motion Celestia's guard broke. Scootaloo cackled as she dived in closer, striking another blow against Celestia. But Celestia was more cunning than she appeared. With the assistance of one of her guards, she managed to repel Scootaloo's attack, blocking her from attacking again. "No! I had the perfect attack!" Scootaloo shot daggers at her opponent, who glared right back. This battle had been going on for nearly an hour. While Scootaloo was surprisingly gifted in the art of war, Celestia was admittedly out of practice. But she was considered by many competent enough in a fight. Not only that, but in her years, she had picked up many skills. One such skill being misdirection. Scootaloo spotted the attack of a guard coming in from the side. Confident that she had just assured her victory against Scootaloo, Celestia let off a cocky grin. The battle was hard, and I have lost many good men, but it's finally coming to a close... Or so she thought. From out of seemingly nowhere, an unnoticed guard jumped in to Scootaloo's aid, taking out the flank Celestia had planned so meticulously. "Impossible!" Celestia yelled loudly, the guards around her flinching. Scootaloo let off an evil chuckle. "You underestimate me, Princess Celestia. Now prepare to embrace eternity!" While Celestia attempted to retaliate unsuccessfully, Scootaloo took out the guard that had originally blocked her attack and closed in on the now defenseless alicorn. Scootaloo cackled like a mad mare. "You know what this means..." Celestia shook her head, horrified. "Checkmate!" Scootaloo chirped. "Aw ponyfeathers." Celestia harrumphed, knocking her king piece off the chessboard. "I always beat Luna! I was undefeated until right now!" Scootaloo beamed up victoriously at Celestia. Seeing the adorable excited look on the filly's face, Celestia found herself unable to contain a silly smile. Scootaloo's youthful energy reminded her of when she would play games with Twilight as a filly. Celestia had always let her win, but Scootaloo didn't need to know that. "Alright little one, a bet is a bet. You may have my crown for the remainder of the day, and get your picture taken upon my throne. It was a battle well fought." As Celestia levitated her crown down and set it on Scootaloo's head, she heard Scootaloo give off a tiny squee. "Now if you would like to make yourself comfortable... Princess Scootaloo, I shall go get Camera Click to take the picture, and can invite Rainbow Dash and Twilight in to see you." Scootaloo pranced excitedly in place. "Thank you so much Princess Celestia!" Celestia chuckled. "While you hold my crown, you may refer to me as just 'Celestia', Princess Scootaloo. Or, if you would rather, I know how you have come address my sister as 'Auntie Luna'. If you would like, you may call me 'Aunt Celestia'. Or even 'Auntie Tia'." Celestia winked at the filly. Scootaloo gasped and shook her head energetically, speechless. "T-thank you, Pr- I mean... Auntie Tia!" Celestia bowed to the filly who was now sitting on her throne, hiding a large smile of her own. "Of course my liege. I shall return momentarily with your personal guards." Scootaloo Decides to Steal Somebody's Body"A full set of foal sized Crystal Empire armor?! Thank you so much Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo leaned over and hugged her adoptive mom. It was Scootaloo's first birthday since moving in with her adoptive family, and she had been spoiled rotten. Behind her was a brand new brake and motor kit attachment for her scooter from Spike, a bejewled helmet from Sweetie Belle (Sweetie Belle had bought the helmet and Rarity attached the gems), a beautifully drawn picture from Applebloom featuring Scootaloo in the middle, with the Crusaders on each side of her. She was standing in front of Rainbow Dash and Twilight, the latter of whom was carrying Spike. Twilight had elected to give her a mirror for her wall that portrayed pictures of her and all her friends and family hanging out, and at the top, the biggest picture was her with Rainbow Dash and Twilight. It was taken the day they had adopted her, which Scootaloo still regarded as the best day of her life. But perhaps the biggest, most eye catching gift there was from Celestia and Luna. They had teleported in a full statue showing Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Scootaloo, and Spike all smiling and posing. The stone Scootaloo was about the same size as the real Scootaloo. Next to it was a stained glass window depicting the same scene, which Twilight agreed to put in Scootaloo's room. Twilight asked to move the statue into the map room, so whenever the Elements of Harmony were dealing with stressful, potentially Equestria dooming business, she and Rainbow Dash could look at their happy family and draw strength from that. Scootaloo wouldn't deny that she cried like a foal when Twilight asked her that. Rainbow Dash and Twilight shared a smile and a knowing look. There was still one more present that Scootaloo didn't know about. "There's one thing left. A present from the both of us." Rainbow Dash announced dramatically. "More?!" Scootaloo turned and looked at Twilight, trying her best to contain her excitement. From the look on Twilight and Rainbow's face, they too were trying to contain their excitement. All three were failing miserably. "Scootaloo." Twilight said slowly, enjoying the manic look in the filly's eye. "I have a very special present for you. It's not a physical present, but it's something I'm sure you'll remember forever." Scootaloo gasped and started involuntarily wagging her tail in excitement. "It's something that, considering you still aren't the strongest flier, Rainbow Dash and I agreed would make today something you'll never forget." Scootaloo's smile dissapeared and a look of confusion appeared on her face. What does she have? A magical pair of new wings? A speed potion? Lessons from Spitfire? "I may have found a spell..." Twilight drew out. "That will allow you to change bodies with somebody else for up to twenty-four hours. And Rainbow Dash here volunteered." Scootaloo gasped again and stared in amazement at Rainbow Dash, who just smiled back and nodded. "Well actually to be fair, Rainbow begged me to do it before I could even say anything else." Twilight laughed. "Not only that squirt." Rainbow stuck her chest out. "I'm gonna teach you how to do the Sonic Rainboom!" Scootaloo started feeling lightheaded as her brain started short circuiting. "I... buh... wha... huh? Sonic Rainboom?" The mares merely nodded. "So Scootaloo, are you inter-" "YES!" Scootaloo shouted. Scootaloo then cleared her eyes and smiled sheepishly at Twilight. "Uh, please." Twilight took a deep breath and closed her eyes, lighting up her horn. As her horn started humming louder, she snapped her eyes open, which were suddenly pure white and glowing, and sent out a wave of light. Scootaloo found her vision going black. After rubbing her eyes for a moment, Scootaloo opened her eyes to find herself staring at a small orange filly with a purple mane, who looked just as disoriented as she did. She glanced over to the hoof she had used to rub her eyes with and saw that it was blue. Looking around for a moment, she also saw a lot of things in the castle looked much less tall. Oh... Oh Celestia. It worked! Unfurling her new wings, Scootaloo took off of the floor castle, sailing up far faster than she was used to. She let out a happy gasp, and flew right at Twilight, tackling her into a hug and falling over and hitting the ground with her. "ThankyousomuchmomIloveitsomuch!" Scootaloo rambled, nuzzling Twilight's cheek. She jumped up and pulled Rainbow Dash in her old body into a tight hug, nuzzling her too. "Glad... you... enjoy... it..." Rainbow gasped. "Scoot... can't breathe!" "Oops." Scootaloo blushed, releasing the hug. "Sorry." Her old body leaned down, taking in a large gulp of air before matching her gaze. "Now do you wanna sit around all day, or do you want to do a Sonic Rainboom?" Scootaloo loud out a loud squee before picking up Rainbow Dash in a much less tight hold. She turned and motioned for Twilight to follow her as she flew out of the castle at a high speed. She found a nearby cloud and deposited Rainbow Dash onto it, while taking great enjoyment in just flying around as she waited for Twilight. By her rough calculations, in Rainbow Dash's body she could go three times her max speed with ease. Twilight flew up to the cloud Rainbow Dash was on and smiled at the filly-fied Rainbow Dash. "You know, I almost can't tell you switched right now. She really is a smaller, maybe smarter version of you." Rainbow Dash just rolled her eyes and chuckled. "Hey squirt! Over here!" she called out. Scootaloo swooped over to her, a giant grin seemingly permanently affixed to her face. "Alright squirt" Rainbow Dash said. "What I want you to do is fly up about 400 feet, then build your speed by spinning clouds like I taught you earlier. Then take a dive at like..." Rainbow gestured wildly with her hooves. "this angle. Tuck your wings, and you'll feel the air resistance turn into a mach cone. Push through that and be ready to pull out of your dive." Scootaloo nodded, enraptured by the idea of what she was about to do. "You got this, champ." Rainbow reassured her. She's right. I do have this. Time to go make dreams come true. Scootaloo sailed up until Rainbow Dash and Twilight looked like ants. She took a moment to enjoy to cool, crisp air and the gentle breeze blowing her mane around. She had never been this high before. She couldn't even hear the birds chirping. It was just a never ending ocean of blue with the occasional cloud. She could see all of Ponyville. Scootaloo smiled to herself as she realized Rainbow Dash had probably gotten the weather schedule today to have clouds just for this exact moment. There was so much riding on this. So much pressure. So much adrenaline. Scootaloo took off, rocketing for a nearby cloud. Dipping her left wing down slightly, she hit her elbow against the cloud, riding the cloud as it spun. Carrying the momentum, she rocketed toward the next cloud, continuing the process until she had five clouds rapidly spinning. As she departed the last cloud, she used the inertia to send her flying at a downward angle matching the one Rainbow Dash had shown her. Taking a deep breath, she tucked her wings and posed her front hooves in front of her as she had seen Rainbow Dash do when she showed the Rainboom off to her. As she picked up speed, she could feel the wind whipping wildly at her face. She shut her eyes as the wind started to make them water. I got this. I can do this. As she started feeling like she was pushing through something, as if the air had grown thicker, she snapped her eyes open. As she saw the telltale sign of the mach cone start around her, the same one she had seen Rainbow Dash push through so many times, she tried to give off a gasp, but the speed at which she was going she felt it almost impossible to breathe in. As the mach cone tightened, she started feeling like she was being squeezed through a tube. Her lungs burned for fresh air. Her eyes watered as the wind resistance kept whipping at her face. Scootaloo grit her teeth and shook her head, trying to clear her eyes. And at the final moment, when Scootaloo felt like she was being completely flattened by the cone, she felt for the briefest of moments like everything had stopped. No air resistance, no mach cone, nothing. And then she heard it. BOOOOOOM Fresh air filled her lungs as she felt her speed double. As she glanced behind her, a large shot of adrenaline went coursing through her bloodstream when she saw a rapidly expanding prismatic circle of rainbow light erupting from where she had just been. I did it. Oh my Celestia I did it How... but I... Buh... "I did the Rainboom!" Scootaloo screamed, tilting her wings up ever so slightly, and rocketing back up into the beautiful ocean of sky. She didn't even need to flap, she just made minor adjustments to shift her path seemingly almost by thought. She sailed straight up, leaving a chromatic trail in her wake. As her momentum finally ran out, Scootaloo contented herself with reaching the peak of her arc, then pulling herself into a glide as she found herself hyperventilating. She let an involuntary giggle, then a loud scream of joy as she felt the adrenaline still coursing through her veins. "WWWHHHHOOOHOOOO" She yelled, rocketing towards the mere pin pricks on the ground that was Rainbow Dash and Twilight. As she rapidly picked up speed, she planned her entrance, and overshot the cloud the other ponies were sitting on. She tilted her wings up so she did a back flip while soaring over the cloud, and came to land in front of Twilight and Rainbow. She instantly pulled them into a rib-shattering hug, unable to do anything other than make excited squeaks as she words completely failed her for the moment. Scootaloo sniffed as tears started streaming from her eyes. "I just... thank you so much." She spoke to nobody in particular. "I love you guys so much." "We love you too." Rainbow and Twilight chorused as they returned the hug. The trio spent several minutes like that, before finally breaking the hug and just enjoying each other's presence quietly. Best. Day. EVER! Scootaloo Casually Hangs Out with Mythical Beasts"En garde!" Scootaloo shouted, pointing her weapon at her opponent. "You shall not defeat me this day, beast!" Scootaloo tensed her body and placed a forehoof on her loyal steed, signifying it was about time for a charge. Her beastial opponent stared back at her with slitted eyes, and licked his lips maliciously. "Charge!" Scootaloo yelled, letting out a war cry and racing toward the beast. Barely able to hold her heavy lance, Scootaloo threw her whole body into the impact. The weapon met its mark somewhere in the beast's torso, and the beast was lifted up, then promptly slammed down by the impact. Scootaloo dropped her weapon and let out a mighty cheer. "Spike, are you okay?" Twilight asked Spike, who had been firmly jousted off of her back by the padded lance Scootaloo had been gifted. Spike's own lance lay in the dirt next to him. Both lances had been padded with tennis balls at the end to prevent accidental injury, but Twilight still wasn't on board with the idea considering the fact that a tennis ball to the eye would still hurt a ton, and pony heads were like... half eye. It had taken the combined efforts of Scootaloo, Spike, and Rainbow Dash to convince her that the four of them playing "Jousting Knight" would be safe and fun, but judging by the smiles adorning every else's faces, it was worth it to them. Scootaloo hopped off Rainbow Dash and placed her helmet into the dirt, going to lend Spike a hoof. "You alright Spike?" Scootaloo questioned. "I know you don't have armor like I do." Spike accepted Scootaloo's offer of help and dusted himself off. "I'm great! I don't need any Crystal Empire armor, I have dragon skin!" Spike pounded his chest. "It's basically built in armor!" Scootaloo let out a relieved sigh and plopped next to Spike in the dirt. "Well I don't know about you, but I'm pooped. Wanna clean up and maybe you can show me that one mac and cheese recipe you were talking about?" "Yeah" Spike chirped. "Sounds great! You should try it when it's been roasted by dragon fire! Doesn't affect the meal much but it does give it this really cool aftertaste! If you put the gear away I'll race you to the kitchen!" "You're on, dragon boy!" Scootaloo smiled, grabbing one of the lances in her mouth and attempting to run with it. Twilight chuckled and lifted up both lances and Scootaloo's armor in her magical field, before teleporting them to their proper locations. "Don't worry about that Scootaloo, just clean yourself up and go have fun." "Thanks Twilight!" Scootaloo ran over to her and gave her a quick hug, before running back over to catch up with Spike. Twilight smiled at the retreating forms and sat next to Rainbow. She let out a happy sigh as she and Rainbow exchanged happy glances. "I'm so happy she and Spike get along so well." Rainbow said. "It must be nice having a sibling her age." "Technically Spike has a good few years on Scootaloo, considering I hatched him when I was six." Twilight explained. "Spike is technically 16, but due to the fact that dragons live for millennia, they mature much slower. So they're only mentally the same age. But yes, it is nice seeing Spike finally hanging out with ponies his age too. I know he must have gotten really bored just hanging out with me and the girls." Rainbow Dash nodded silently. "Well, what do you say we go check in on those troublemakers before the destroy the kitchen?" Rainbow smiled. Twilight laughed. "After you, Rainbow." "The real art is in the spices and the flavorings. You can cook the perfect macaroni, do everything else right, but if you don't add the right accents, then it's not gonna be a great dish. It'll just be bland." Spike explained. "Now if you want to get the garlic and onion powder, I'm gonna get to work preparing this broccoli." Scootaloo trotted over to the spice cabinet and flew up to the spice rack, grabbing two bottles with her mouth. "Heuy Thike" Scootaloo mumbled around the spices idly, before flying back down and dropping them on the counter so she could be understood. "Hey Spike, aren't dragons supposed to have wings?" Spike shrugged. "Every dragon I've seen so far has had wings, not sure why I don't. Ponies don't really know much about about dragons. They're a bit too hostile for interviews." Scootaloo studied the dragon's nonchalant expression for a moment. "So you don't even know your family? You know nothing of your own kind? That kinda... lonely sounding." Spike shrugged again as she started chopping up the broccoli. "As far as I'm concerned, Twilight is my mom. Although I'm not sure if she sees it that way... And the one time I did get curious about my native species, I found out that dragons are jerks anyway, so I'm perfectly happy like this. Besides, I'm not lonely, I have Twilight and the rest of the... I have Twilight." Scootaloo hummed softly, lost in thought for the moment. "Not true." Spike looked up from the cookbook, confused. "What do you mean?" "Well you now have me. I appreciate spending time with you. You're pretty fun. The only reason the Crusaders and I didn't really seek you out before is because... well you're a dragon who lives with a princess, there's a bit of a disconnect there. Besides I..." Scootaloo cleared her throat and looked around awkwardly. "I've always kind of wanted a brother." Spike lowered his stirring spoon. To be honest, he had never considered a sibling dynamic with Scootaloo. Thus far, the most interaction he'd really had with her aside from a few games here and there was her living in the same building while she waited for Rainbow Dash to get out of the hospital. And it's not like he hadn't enjoyed those games. It was just more... he figured he was distracting the filly while her guardian couldn't be with her. But now that he thought about it for a moment, Spike couldn't help but crack a smile at the thought of actually having a bond with a peer. "You know Scootaloo, I like that idea too." Spike said simply. "It would be nice to be able to be something other than Twilight's assistant for once." Scootaloo broke out into a smile. "Great! And I can get the Crusaders to come hang out with us too! Oh! OH! We can make you a Crusader as well! Well, even though dragons don't get cutie marks... But it'd be great anyway! So what do you want to do first, bro?" Spike chuckled, pouring the sauce onto the noodles and stirring it a couple of times. "I want you to try this, sis." He held out the spoon for Scootaloo to try. With a grin, Scootaloo reached over and tasted the finished meal. "Hey, this is great!" Scootaloo exclaimed. "Couldn't have done it without you." Spike smiled in kind. Meanwhile, watching from the cracked door outside the kitchen, two mares watched the scene unfold with sappy smiles on their face. It was about time. Scootaloo Finds Beauty in the Eye of the Bee HolderAuthor's Note This is set before Crusaders of the Lost Mark. Scootaloo Finds Beauty in the Eye of the Bee Holder "I still don't get why I'm modeling this dress." Scootaloo complained. "Sweetie Belle is just upstairs." Rarity sighed irritably, working on the stitching of the dress Scootaloo was modeling. "Because Coco Pommel, a very good friend of mine, is getting married. And she specifically asked me to make a dress for her niece. Who is your age. And a pegasus. You may not know this, but pegasi and unicorns have very subtle body differences. Pegasi are usually smaller and have thicker coats to help with the cold temperature." "But it's so..." Scootaloo bit back the word 'ugly' "So... kinda an eyesore." It was true. The main part of the dress was purple with a white trim, there were many red accents running along the dress. Not to mention it was way too flowy and frou-frou for Scootaloo. Rarity chuckled. "These are the specifications Coco asked me to make. Even if it's not... my fondest work, I'm not going to let down Miss Pommel." Finishing her final alternation, Rarity levitated the dress off Scootaloo with a flourish of her horn. "Scootaloo, one important lesson I'll teach you is that true beauty? True beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And if you should find beauty, you should grab it and never let go. Thank you for modeling for me. You may go now." Scootaloo blinked in confusion. In the eye of the bee holder? What does holding bees have to do with beauty? "Crochet? Really?" Scootaloo deadpanned. "I have to admit Sweetie Belle, that does sound kind of boring." Applebloom agreed. "Well..." Sweetie Belle tried vainly to defend herself. "Okay. I can try that on my own. I was talking to Mr. Api Eyrie earlier. He said he could help us out. He has a couple foal sized outfits." "You'd have to try that without me." Applebloom moped. "I'm allergic." "Well that's okay, Applebloom. You can still come with us and hang out! We'll do something else when we're done!" Scootaloo uttered with a smile. "We can still try... hmm... 'Cutie Mark Crusaders: Chefs!' after that!" Applebloom returned her smile. "Yeah! That sounds great! Alright, I'm in!" Fully decked out into their outfits, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle followed Api Eyrie to his bee farms. Regarding the uncomfortably shifting unicorn, he let out a chuckle. "Nervous?" Sweetie Belle swallowed and nodded. "A little bit. Last time I was near bees they stung me." "Here." Api Eyrie handed Sweetie Belle a little tub of honey. "Dip your hoof in this and a few bees will just crawl over you. Tickles, if anything." Hesitantly, Sweetie Belle dipped her hoof in honey and Api Eyrie opened one layer of the bee farm. A few moments later, she had a small army of bees swarming her hoof. She moved her hoof around gently, watching the bees stick to her regardless. She gave out a little giggle. "That tickles! Scootaloo, you have to try this!" But Scootaloo was not thinking about beekeeping at that moment. Her mind flashed back to what Rarity had told her earlier. If beauty is in the eye of the bee holder, and Sweetie Belle is holding bees in front of me, does that mean I should find her beautiful? I mean she does have a nice white coat... and uh... she has... eyes. I guess? Well, scratch poetry off the Crusader list. After spending more time playing with the bees than actually working, the Crusaders spent the rest of the day failing in their cutie mark attempts. At sundown, Twilight flew down to Scootaloo to pick her up. Twilight explained that Rainbow Dash was working late. "Hey mom..." Scootaloo began, tapping her chin with a hoof. "What are you supposed to do when you find somebody beautiful?" Twilight gasped happily. "You find somebody beautiful?! That's adorable! Who is it?" Scootaloo hummed quietly, pondering over her answer. "Sweetie Belle. I think." "You... think?" Twilight questioned. "Oh well, I'm not exactly the... expert on these matters. But I'd say a good start is just spent more time with her. Have some special dinners together or something. Maybe get her flowers? She'd probably like that. If it's meant to happen, Sweetie Belle will also show interest in you." Scootaloo scratched her head. "You mean like... dates?" Twilight nodded happily. "But won't Applebloom get jealous?" Twilight paused. "Well do you see Applebloom the same way?" "No." "Then I'm sure she'll be fine, and support you two!" Twilight beamed. Support us in what? The next day was a Sunday, so the Crusaders got together at Sweet Apple Acres again. Scootaloo, still thoroughly confused about this whole situation, shot sideways glances at Sweetie Belle all morning. "I'll go get the monster catching nets! We have them stored in out barn!" Applebloom spouted, running off. Well, I guess Twilight wouldn't lead me wrong. What was it that Twilight had said? Get her flowers? Scootaloo glanced around. There were a couple flowers here and there. Which one would be good? Eh, whatever. Scootaloo dashed away, picked up a random flower, and zipped back over to Sweetie Belle, dropping it at her feet. "Hey Sweetie Belle, I uh... got you a flower?" Scootaloo put on a fake grin. "Oh. Thanks Scootaloo!" Sweetie Belle smiled, levitating the flower to the area right next to her right ear, situating it in her mane. "Does it look good?" I mean... It looks fine? Am I supposed to feel something differently now or something? "Yeah, looks great." Scootaloo shrugged. "Thanks!" Sweetie Belle chirped, and resumed waiting for Applebloom. Well okay, so I did that right. I think. What else did Twilight say? Dinners. Right. Well that is something I know. "Hey Sweetie Belle, Spike showed me how to make this cauliflower casserole. You want me to make some for the two of us sometime?" "Just the two of us?" Sweetie questioned. "Uh, yes?" "Sure! Sounds great. I'm not doing anything after we finish Crusading today. How about then?" Sweetie Belle replied unassumingly. Man, this is easy. "Sounds good to me!" Scootaloo replied. Scootaloo had set the table for two. There was a lit candle in the center of the table. Scootaloo had found a bunch of those little inch long purple and white flowers outside and put them in one of Rarity's vases. Scootaloo pulled the casserole out of the oven and got to work divvying up a portion for both her and Sweetie Belle. They both took their plates to the table and sat in silence. Okay, now what? "So... Anything interesting happen recently?" Scootaloo rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly. Sweetie Belle raised an eyebrow at her. "Scootaloo, we've spent the entire day together. We've done all the interesting things together." "Oh, heh, right." Sweetie took a bite of the casserole. Her eyes shot open. "Wow Scootaloo, this is really good!" "Thanks!" Scootaloo took on a tone of bravado. "But you should try it when Spike cooks it with dragon fire. Makes it way better!" The two returned to the silence. I think dinner and flowers are the only things Twilight mentioned. Uh, what did Rarity say? Grab it and never let go. This is gonna be really weird. Scootaloo jumped down off her chair and padded over to Sweetie Belle, jumping onto her chair and throwing a tight hug around her friend. "Scootaloo, are you okay?" Sweetie asked in a concerned tone. "I'm fine." Scootaloo replied, faking a nonchalant tone. "Then uh... what are you doing?" Sweetie laughed nervously. "I have no idea!" Scootaloo cried. "Rarity told me to!" At that moment, the door to the kitchen swung open and Rarity walked in, distractedly looking around. "Sweetie Belle, have you seen my-" Rarity froze as she took the scene in. She broke out into a wide smile and clapped a hoof over her mouth to keep her from fawning over the situation. "I'm so sorry girls, I didn't mean to interrupt your date." Rarity trilled. "You two are so adorable together. I'll just leave and let your resume your date." "Date?" Sweetie Belle squeaked. "What do you mean?" Rarity blinked in confusion. "You two aren't on a date?" "Scootaloo do you have any idea what she's talking about?" Sweetie Belle queried. "I don't know! All I know is Twilight told me to do this!" Scootaloo protested. "Twilight told you to... Scootaloo, what's going on, and why does it look like you're dating my sister?" Rarity interrupted. Dating? Wait, Rarity thought... Oh Celestia, is this why Twilight responded the way she did? "Well remember yesterday when you said something about beauty and bee holders?" Scootaloo started. "Later that day I was beekeeping with Sweetie Belle and I saw her holding bees, so by your logic, she was beautiful. Then I told Twilight I found her beautiful and Twilight recommended getting her flowers and cooking her a dinner." Rarity stood stock still for a moment, then promptly fell to the floor, sides heaving with the most unladylike and raucous laughter Scootaloo had ever heard. Releasing the hug, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle met gazes, both thoroughly confused. Rarity struggled to her hooves, trying to talk through bouts of laughter. "You thought..." Taking a deep breath to calm herself down, Rarity wiped a tear from her eye and regarded Scootaloo. "Beholder, Scootaloo. One word. 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' has nothing to do with bees, it means where one pony sees something not beautiful, another pony will find beauty." "Oh." Scootaloo replied simply, blushing. "That makes sense." Rarity let out another chuckle. "Oh my. Darling, thank you, I needed that laugh." Rarity peered out the window. "Well it is getting rather late. Would you like to stay the night? I'd be only too happy to accommodate you." "Oh no thanks." Scootaloo smiled. "Rainbow Dash said she'd pick me up in like..." Scootaloo gazed at the nearby clock. "half an hour." "Oh good, Rainbow Dash is gonna pick you up? She's gonna love this story." Rarity tittered. "Bee holder?! That's the funniest thing ever!" Rainbow Dash laughed the entire ride home. I'm never dating anybody again. This was the most humiliating thing ever. Scootaloo Goes to her Senior PromSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. An Important QuestionSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Scootaloo Goes to the Dentist"Surgery?!" Scootaloo quaked, pupils shrinking. "You won't even feel a thing, sweetie." Twilight reassured her. "They'll put you under before it even starts, and when you wake up, it'll be like you just blinked." "But... what if they mess something up?! What if they nick an artery and I bleed out before anybody can save me?! Can you guys be there?" Scootaloo started shaking. "Squirt, you're just getting your wisdom teeth taken out." Rainbow Dash sighed. "I'm pretty sure there aren't even any arteries in your gums." "But why do I need to get them taken out? My teeth don't hurt!" Somewhat recently Twilight had realized that considering Scootaloo's living condition before she had come into their care, Scootaloo probably hadn't gotten periodic checkups at doctors. Earlier that day she had gotten an inspection at the dentist's office, Twilight had been told that while the filly's teeth were in good condition, she had to get her wisdom teeth removed due to the way they were growing in. Scootaloo hadn't taken the news well. "Because due to the way your wisdom teeth are growing, they can cause damage to your other teeth when they come in." Twilight explained. "Sweetie, what scares you so much about surgery? These ponies are professionals." Scootaloo stepped back a couple steps, vision snapping left and right nervously. She gave out a small distressed noise until she felt Rainbow Dash's hoof gently come to rest on her withers. Scootaloo looked up at the rainbow mare, who merely gave her a reassuring smile. Scootaloo sighed and took a deep breath. "It's just... The idea of being stuck down, unable to move or fight back when somebody is looking down on me... especially a stallion, kinda reminds me of.. y'know." Twilight was afraid of that. "Listen little one, if those doctors try anything nefarious, I'll wheel in a catapult loaded with Rainbow Dash and make them stop. And after you're done we'll go get ice cream!" Scootaloo took several deep breaths and nodded wordlessly at Twilight. Per the dentist's rules, Scootaloo was wheeled out in a wheelchair. Her head was lolling to the side and she appeared to be weakly laughing at something. She had a juice box depicting an orange held loosely in her hoof. The nurse stopped in front of Rainbow Dash and Twilight and gave them a smile. "She was very brave. There were no complications." The nurse said. "She gave me orange juice!" Scootaloo slurred, throwing the juice box in the air and cackling wildly when the box fell on Rainbow's head, wetting her mane with the juice. "I think she may be an angel." Twilight chuckled as she levitated Scootaloo over to Rainbow Dash and placed her on Rainbow's back. With another simple spell the now empty juice box and all the spilled orange juice disappeared. Scootaloo stretched as wide as she could and hugged Rainbow Dash's back, planting her face in Rainbow's withers before turning her head and humming happily. "Rainbow Dash, your coat is sooo soft." She cooed, rubbing a part of her back. "Did you do one of your fancy frou-frou spa thingies?" Rainbow's eyes shot open and she chuckled nervously, looking between the nurse and Twilight. "The kid is really out of it, she probably has no idea what she's talking about..." Twilight tittered. "There's nothing wrong with getting 'frou-frou' treatments Rainbow. It's good to relax sometimes." "Well yeah... I know that." Rainbow chuckled awkwardly. "But the only time I ever go to the spa it's for... sports injuries. Yeah. Sports injuries. And that's it." "Oooh really?" Twilight grinned deviously. "Because I do have two coupons for a deep tissue massage and a deluxe hooficure I was thinking of sharing with you. But I suppose if that's not your thing, Rarity would love to go with me." Rainbow's eyes lit up for a moment. "Uh well, if you insist, I could go too. For uh..." Rainbow turned her head to catch sight of Scootaloo, who was busy idly playing with one of Rainbow Dash's feathers. "For Scootaloo." "For Scootaloo?" Twilight smiled innocently. "Y-yeah. Both of us should be relaxed and... bonding. For her." Twilight just chuckled and nodded. "Sure, let's go sometime. But for now, let's go get Scootaloo a cold treat." Just then Rainbow felt something pulling on her mane. Moving slowly so as to not accidentally knock Scootaloo off her back, she turned her head to see Scootaloo chewing ferociously on a lock of her mane. After a moment she gazed up at Rainbow with big sad eyes. "I just wanted candy." Scootaloo's bottom lip trembled. "Why doesn't your mane taste like candy? Did Sweetie Belle lie to me?" Rainbow looked at Twilight, unsure of how to respond to that, but was saved from having to respond when Scootaloo laid her back against Rainbow's neck, trying to use her mane like a blanket. Looking down at her makeshift blanket she gasped and stared excitedly at Twilight. "Twilight! It's Rainbow!." She yelled in glee. Twilight blinked slowly. "Yes dear, Rainbow Dash has been here the whole time." "Rainbow's mane is Rainbow! Look!" Scootaloo grabbed a lock of Rainbow's mane and showed it to Twilight, looking like she thought she'd just figured out the greatest secret known to ponykind. Rainbow and Twilight both laughed as Scootaloo went back to work trying to make a blanket of Rainbow's mane. Rainbow set Scootaloo down on the seat of a round booth outside the local Dairy Princess and rubbed the back of her sore neck. She collapsed into a seat next to the filly. It had already been a hot summer's day, and straining her neck muscles the entire walk had caused her to work up a sweat. With a nod, Twilight went off to order milkshakes for the trio. Rainbow felt somebody softly nudge her leg. She looked down to see a concerned looking Scootaloo. "Rainbow what would happen if Celestia forgot to raise the sun one day?" Scootaloo asked breathlessly. "Princess Luna would remind her. Or do it herself." Rainbow replied nonchalantly. Scootaloo gasped softly then laid the back of her head on Rainbow's lap. "What about Twilight? Could she do it?" Scootaloo still seemed troubled. Rainbow mulled over that for a moment. "Well she apparently tried the night before she fought Tirek, but with only her own magic, probably not." She booped Scootaloo's nose gently. "What about you?" Scootaloo asked with wide eyes. "No squirt, I can't raise the sun." "WHAT?!" Scootaloo yelled, now almost muzzle to muzzle with Rainbow Dash. Rainbow jumped a little in her seat. "But you're... awesome! How can you not raise the sun?" "Probably because you need a horn to do that." Twilight said, levitating three milkshakes over to the table they were at. There was a chocolate one for Scootaloo, a crème de menthe for Rainbow Dash, and a vanilla for her. "Wow..." Scootaloo said, stars in her eyes, before picking her milkshake up like a drink and unceremoniously dumping it all over her face. There was a very pregnant silence as the two mares waited for Scootaloo to respond. Scootaloo very slowly put her glass down and rubbed the sides of her mouth while gently shaking her head. "Squirt?" “Ughhhhhh.” Scootaloo moaned. “Scootaloo, how do you feel?” Twilight asked sweetly. "I feel like I just bit lightning." Scootaloo replied slowly. "Am I dying?" Caught off guard, Twilight gave off a chuckle. "No honey, it just looks like the Novocain is just starting to wear off." Content with her answer, Scootaloo went back to massaging the area where her wisdom teeth were before. The gums had already started swelling. "I feel like Tartarus. Did I do anything dumb? I don't remember anything." Scootaloo looked around. "Also how did we get here? I thought we were at the dentist's." "To answer your questions in order," Rainbow chuckled. "You got completely shocked when I told you I couldn't raise the sun and then tried to take a shower in your milkshake. And we walked here a while ago. You came out of surgery almost an hour ago." Scootaloo didn't respond, just kept rubbing the sides of her muzzle. "How do you feel, Scootaloo?" Twilight queried. "My face feels pregnant." Scootaloo sighed. Rainbow involuntarily let out a loud snicker. Laughing a little herself, Twilight pushed her own milkshake to Scootaloo. "I'm gonna guess you mean you feel swollen. Something cold will help with that. Have my milkshake. For the future, we have pain medications you'll be taking for a while, and you're gonna have to ice your muzzle a lot. That'll help." "Thanks Twilight. How long am I gonna have to deal with this?" Scootaloo sucked in some of Twilight's milkshake. "The swelling should start going down in two weeks." "Two weeks?!" Scootaloo spat out her milkshake. Twilight nodded and smiled sympathetically. "I knew I hated dentists."
Scootaloo Defeats Celestia and Takes Her CrownAuthor's Note This particular story takes place after Off Color, but also a couple chapters in to Fly Like You, as that story technically starts before Off Color. I shall return momentarily with your personal guards."
Scootaloo Decides to Steal Somebody's Body"A full set of foal sized Crystal Empire armor?!

Scootaloo Goes to the Dentist"Surgery?!" Scootaloo quaked, pupils shrinking.
