"our story begins in a town close to the everfree but all so a town unlike any other,a town all most the size of canterlot the merchant city of silent meadows all so known as "sovereignty of the common folk". A hub of trade of all things from food to pony sellswords,all are welcome to this town no matter what race but three rules be obey at all time. The first rule respect the law of the land,the second rule respect the ruler of silent meadows and the final rule STAND AGAINST ONE OF US AND YOU FACE ALL OF US!".

"now you probably wonder how such a town exists in the land of equestria well the answer is simple it was what they call back in the day a free town,you see in the equestrian dictionary a free town is a town not governed by a country but exists in its borders and can have her free independence as long as the free town acts as a vessel like country".

"in this dark days after a peace treaty between equestria and the griffon empire was made and a lone griffon warlord that did not support this act of peace invoked an old griffon code "the code of acquisition", a code that only a griffon noble can do the code say that a griffon noble can claim any land he or she wants but must do it alone with no aid from the rest of the griffon empire but if a griffon noble wants to join the griffon that invoked the code then that griffon and all his house hold swear fealty to that griffon til they finish the the code of acquisition or die trying. And that griffon warlord was razor storm brother to the griffon emperor him self and he was so angry of the peace treaty that he invoked the code of acquisition on all of equestria and from 22 noble griffon house holds 10 joined razor storm war on equestria.
Equestria and its army was strong but after the last war they did not have time to replenish the forces same as the warbands of razor storm so both sides did what any country will do they will hire armies from sellswords to mercenary companies and even if needed prisoners at arms".

"and our story will begin when a representative from canterlot was send to silent meadows to talk about aid in the coming war a young unicorn named pure dawn the youngest of the grand masters of the celestial sunlight order an order of ponies that where given the gift to will the power of the sun in their weapons and magic from their patron princess celestia. But pure dawn was special he was hand pick and studied under celestia and for him to get this task was most logic for he was born in silent meadows".

"and now lets go to the city gate and watch the past unravel before us and let the 300 sorrow's begin".

silent meadows-equestria(350 years before the return of nightmare moon):

The town of silent meadows the town of the common folk led by an earth pony known only by the name of merc the lone sword his origins are an enigma but some say he have a connection with the umbral pony clan for he was only in the color of shadowy black with a shade of grey and no cutie mark.

The town was full of life of all diversity,business was flowing,the sellswords(the prime business of the town) where drinking and visiting the brothels for "entertainment" and the city guard where doing patrols around the town looking for anything out of the ordinary.

A lone unicorn in the color of yellow and white with a cutie mark of a half of a sun and radiant sun light coming from it, the unicorn walk to the town gate the guard give him a sign to stop and the unicorn give him a letter with canterlot royal seal and the guard clear him to enter.

The unicorn walk the street when he saw a large crowd gathering in the town square he walk their and asked one of the guards what is happening.

"Excuse me guard what is this gathering for?".

"The town folk where restless this couple of days so we prepared a public execution of some minor pony noble". The guard said.

"Don't you think this is a bad idea you can all ways trade him for gold".

"No can do that idiot broke the law and did something very stupid".

"What did he do?".

"He drew his sword on lord lone sword".

The executioner came next to the prisoner and the city official began to speak.

"Do you have any last words before you will meet your end?". The official said to him.

In anger the pony noble said,"you will regret this i have friends with canterlot's court i will make sure princess celes". But before he finish his words the executioner axe cut his head then the official said,"i said words not sentences,well show is over go to your business". He said to the crowd.

When the crowd began to return to their normal day the unicorn give a small sigh of sadness and said to him self,"it seems nothing has changed around here".

"You got that right dawny". A female voice said from behind him.

He recognize this voice immediately and the one that call him in this stupid nickname.

"Tūval its been ages and i told you to stop using that nickname". The unicorn said to her.

"Oh come on you know you like it don't you remember the long nights in the alleys of the city". She said to him in a seductive tone.

The unicorn was not impressed by her attempt,"why are you here tūval after what happened 10 years ago we where given exile if somepony see you they will kill you".

"Well after you were sold to canterlot lord lone sword said to the rest of us that he will clear our exile only if we became under his employee". Tūval said to him.

"And that been said i am here to escort you to lord lone sword". She said to him.

"Ok then after you". The unicorn said back.

"Oh before we go i have one more message for you from lord lone sword, "if you cause any problem in the city we will gut you down like a fish and send your horn to that Whore celestia so she can shove it up where her sun don't shine" so don't do something you will regret doing". She said to him and she continue to walk.

After gulping his own spit he all so continue to walk with her.

While they walk to the keep he start to think to him self about his childhood friend tūval the wings of quill. She was a rare breed of griffins known as quill backs and were infamous in the arts of assassination,when they spot their target they will fire sharp quills on them and the quills will puncture holes in them plus they grow back after one to two weeks but tūval her quills grow back after one to two days.

They arrived to the keep of merc lone sword known as the fort of prosper in that fort some of the most famous mercenary groups dwell and some of the most deadliest individuals in the world as well.

They both enter to the keep and to the office of lord of the sellswords.

"Well from here you go alone i need to check on my team come see me when you are done". Tūval said to him and give him a kiss on the cheek and she left the floor.

He went to the office of the lord of the city and it was a large room full of rare artifacts,weapons and armor,books,mounted monster heads and a lockbox with gold and silver ornaments. Then from another door lord lone sword enters the room he set down and looked at the unicorn.

"Its been 10 years since i saw your sorry flank and you still look like a colt that mate for the first time".lone sword said to him.

"And you still look like pile of manticore shit". The unicorn said back to him.

"Tell me how is the feeling to abandon your town folk only to join some order of ponies that most likely take turns on that sun Whore rather then save their country from every enemy that confronts them". Lone sword said to him.

"It feels great better then live and die for nothing in this shit hole of a town". The unicorn said back to him.

They both looked at each other with anger in the eyes only to start laughing at the same time.

"Its good to see you again pure dawn how is the life in canterlot somepony causing you trouble are the nobles bothering you just say how and i will send somepony to have a small chat with them". Lone sword said to pure dawn.

"I am fine lord lone sword i am actually one of the grand masters of the order and i even became a student under celestia's wing". Pure dawn said to lone sword with a smile.

"I am so proud of you pure dawn and know this i am still sorry for what i did to you 10 years ago when i sold you to that damn sun witch". Lone sword said with a tone of sadness as he open a bottle of blissful euphoria and started to pour to him and pure dawn a drink.

"No need to apologize you were like a father to all of us and this was the only way to make all of my mess go away and i don't drink its against the order doctrine". Pure dawn said to him and giving him back the drink.

The old black pony stared at him for a second only to grunt and saying,"you know it very rude not to accept a drink from your host and this is not canterlot this is silent meadows your home and if i say you will drink with me you will".

"Fine fine, so i was sent here by the princess for...".

"Stop!". Lone sword said in anger.

"I know why she send you here she thinks just because you are one of the common folk i will agree to her terms for support in this war, well don't get me wrong i will send the best armies of coin i got as long as she have the gold to pay for them".

"Don't worry princess celestia will pay in full for all the support you can give i promise".

"I promise?, is that what they teach you in the city of lies". Lone sword said in anger.

"Merc i know you hate celestia but you can't judge a city just because you don't like it". Pure dawn said to him.

Lone sword was looking at him like he was looking at a colt and he started to talk, "first did i give you permission to use me name son don't forget i am the lord of this town not some harlot from the street. Second i never said i hate celestia in fact she is probably one of the best rulers of equestria you know beside the best ruler that ever lived "equenius the liberator" the founder of equestria after he won against the armies of grogar with the help of gusty the great, its just that i don't trust her after what she did to her own kin".

"What are talking about celestia don't have any relatives". Pure dawn said to him.

"She never told you did she well let me tell you a story you see that moon do you know the legends of the mare in the moon of the so called nightmare moon well believe it or not that is her sister". Lone sword said to him.

"WHAT that can't be its just something you tell the young ones if they missbehave how is nightmare moon celestia's sister?". He asked him.

"Well she is her young sister and her name is luna they got in a stupid argument luna turn to nightmare moon and a civil war opened in the land my grand grand father was a sellsword in that war under the command of nightmare moon. Not only that a very very very old relative of mine was an umbral blade an elite fore in the umbral pony tribes he was hired by king sombra to take out equestrian commanders and in his journal he said he made battle with a dark blue alicorn".

"Ok so why no one know about her?" pure dawn asked.

"After they did battle celestia used an ancient artifacts known as the elements of harmony but don't be fooled by the name they are known in this age,in the age of the king of monsters grogar the name of the artifacts was the regalia of the goat king. And celestia used the elements on her sister and she banished her to the moon rather then help her control her dark self".

"I don't believe it why the king of monsters had the elements only the pure of heart can use them". Pure dawn said to him.

"So what is the problem it say the pure of heart it is not say if you have to be good in your heart". Lone sword said taking a sip of his drink.

"Ok so celestia used the elements on her sister but from what i read nightmare moon wanted to bring eternal night so celestia had to stop her." pure dawn said.

"WRONG!,she was her sister you never banish or condemn your kin to imprisonment on a place such as the moon to be alone for 1000 years and go mad in isolation,if it was me i will help her return to her former self or kill her on the spot and end her suffering". Lone sword said in anger.

It was quiet for some time only for the silence to be broken by lone sword,"lets move forward on why you are here i will give her the aid she needs but i need you to do something for me i lost contact with our scouts in the everfree i need you and some militia scouts to see what happened and report back then we will talk terms. Now go do it fast and you will follow orders this is an silent meadows op if you see something that can be a problem return and do not engage the enemy". Lone sword said and he sand pure dawn to the task.

"And one more thing you are grand master in canterlot but here you are private pure dawn now go before i change my mind". Lone sword said and pure dawn left the room.

Some time later lone sword grabbed a key to his lockbox and opened it what was in it was no gold,silver or any treasure what was inside it was a eye that was still pulsing and looked at lone sword,he then started to caress the eye and began to talk to him self,"my love i know you hate me for taking your eye but i will make it up to you i promise". The eye started to show anger like it is screaming at him,"are you upset my love then i will sing you the song you so much care for". "they come they come for the smell of blood,they know they know what sins you done,you run you hide but they all ways see,for they for they are the rage of the everfree,so all the young ones be nice to all or the wrath of forest shell gorge on your soul".

silent meadows front gate:

Pure dawn was in the city gate wearing the militia scouts uniform along side him a team of militia scouts were preparing for their mission.

"Ok listen up ponies we where given a task by lord lone sword him self we go to the forest find the lost group then we come back quick and clean got it!". The scout leader said to the group.

"Sir yes sir!". They said back to him.

"Good lets move it". The leader said and they went to the everfree.

everfree forest:

In the everfree the wild ruled and monsters can come from any place they knew it but they had some strange feeling something was not what it seems.

The group came close to the lost scouts last location only to be stop by their team leader.

"Scouts scatter and take point behind the trees and hold your position".

They all toke point in the tree line and saw the bodies of their fellow scouts and next to them a regiment of griffon vanguard that made camp in the forest.

"I gonna kill those feather heads". One of the scouts said.

"Really how we are only seven they have 50". Another scout said.

"Our job is to see what happened and report back and we are going to do that". The leader said to them.

"Look they are doing something". Pure dawn said to them.

They all looked at the griffons and they saw two griffons bring a captive pegasi scout the rest of the scouts knew her she was a scout militia from the same time they join the militia force.

The griffons pinned her to the ground and their leader started to call to his soldiers,"so boys shell we go for another round on our pony entertainment". He said to them and they all started to cheer and laugh.

While the rest of the scouts were in rage for not doing anything suddenly they saw pure dawn taking off is scout militia uniform,"private pure dawn what are you doing! Get in that armor now and hold point". The leader said to him.

Pure dawn ignore him and after removing the armor he said, "screw orders this is an equestrian order business now". And he teleported from the area.

The griffons were about to "do their way" with the pegasi but suddenly they saw a unicorn appear out of nowhere,"in the name of princess celestia get away of the pegasi and surrender". Pure dawn said to them.

The griffons only started to laugh and their leader started to talk,"is that so you are very funny,kill him".

Some of the griffons started to get near pure dawn pulling swords and spears at that moment pure dawn started to glow and an armor made of magic appear on him along side two magic swords. He then cut down the griffons near him and he looked at the rest and said to them,"you chose poorly".

The griffon leader started to get mad,"GET HIM NOW!!!". And his griffons started to charge pure dawn.

Pure dawn began to use his magic sun blades and hit every griffon with a fast combo of sun blade dance a dual sword stand from the order every hit was precise and deadly. From the back of the forest the rest of the scouts join pure dawn as they shot the griffons with bolts and the rest of them grabbed the pegasi captive and bringing her to a safe zone,"we will go to the town and we will bring our wounded back,as an officer i will report what you done but as a fellow free folk i thank you so go and kill every single one of this bird brains". The scout leader said to pure dawn.

"YES SIR". Pure dawn said with a loud voice and charged the griffons.

The griffon leader called a retreat to what left of his vanguard and they all went to the deep forest but not before pure dawn captured one of the griffons,"you and i gonna have some talk bird brain". Pure dawn said to the griffon prisoner and he toke him out of the forest to silent meadows.

everfree forest-deep woods:

The griffon vanguard that remain along side their commander made a camp in a small grove like area in the forest.

"50 WE HAD 50 GRIFFONS HOW DID WE LOST TO ONLY ONE UNICORN!". The griffon leader yelled to his troops.

"How am i gonna explain this to razor storm". The griffon leader said with worry.

In the forest a large sound of stomping was heard and the griffons heard that and started to take position. What came out of the woods where timberwolves but larger,with red eyes and they had bones coming out of the body the wolves just incircle the griffons and from the forest hi came!, a large minotaur like monster but the griffons started to call him in a different name,"Arimaspi its an Arimaspi". The griffons said.

"No its something else". The griffon leader said to them.

The large monster raise his staff to the air and then slam it on the ground and yell in an unknown language,"Shyish Guar Fkhshdhbhmdhdhshchdh".

On that command the deformed blood soaked timberwolves charged the griffons with so much force that the griffons formation broke in seconds and what left was the dying screams of griffons that were eaten alive.

The monster called his monsters and talk to all of them,"summon my lumber brayherds and all the monsters of blood and gore we march for the hunt in the name of the dark gods,go now RIP AND TEAR FLESH AND BONE FOR KHAOS!!!!!!!".
